Station or via the iHeart Radio app. Of course, if
you are listening via the iHeartRadio app, go ahead and
hit that microphone button. Leave us a talkback. We'll get
to the talkbacks. Our number two best talk back of

(00:41):
the week since he shirts gift card coming your way.
I have a feelings it's a tough one to win
this week. I feel like we've already had some awesome
talkbacks through just two days. Those come up in our
number two along with Local twelve's Richard Skinner, who will
join us at one o'clock today right here on Cincy
three to sixty. We also have a little by Sell

(01:05):
hold that we're going to play today. Our three buy
sell hold from a Bengals standpoint. We'll dive into a
position by position outlook. We'll look at some of the
remaining free agents available in the National Football League. And
on the Bengals Booth podcast, I saw this with Dan Horde.
They had the director of scouting, Mike Potts. He had
a couple interesting things to say as it relates to

(01:26):
the Cincinnati Bengals from the draft and how things will
happen going forward. We'll talk about a couple of those.
Will be more Reds centered in our one, because the
Reds did not play last night, meaning they'll have a
doubleheader today that gets underway at twelve forty. Brady Singer
takes the mound. We'll get you all caught up with
a Reds lineup, the latest roster transactions, and a top

(01:50):
prospect making his debut for the Cincinnati Reds this evening.
We'll get to all of that before any of that.
Look around the sports world from last night. The Denver
Nuggets rolled in Game five. The Detroit Pistons went to
New York and won. They forced a Game six. The

(02:10):
Celtics closed out the Orlando Magic, and the Pacers at
home closed out the Milwaukee Bucks and Yannis onto the compo. Now,
the interesting part about that is if you follow along
and you saw what happened after the game, Yannis actually
got into an altercation with Tyrese Halliburton's father. Now, if

(02:32):
you just kind of watch it, you're like, man, what
is Yiannis doing? But if you watch the video, as
soon as the game ended, Halliburton's dad runs onto the court.
He's got this flag that he's holding with Tyrese Halliburton's
face on it, and he's yelling. I don't know what
he's yelling, but he's yelling pretty much in the face
of Jannis and holding this flag up. Now, Yanis just

(02:55):
stands there before some of his teammates come and break
it up, and later they kind of came to blows
a little bit, got in each other's face. Jannis talked
about humble and humility that comes along with winning in
this sport after the game and after the series ended,

(03:16):
and I don't think Janis did anything that would warrant
anything criminal. I don't think Tyres Halliburton's dad did as well.
But I was following along with Charles Barkley and Shaquille
O'Neill after the game last night, and they had differentiating opinions.
It was Shaquille O'Neal's opinion that, you know, Jannis, you're
an NBA superstar, You've got to kind of roll with

(03:39):
the punches. You've got to just take that and move on,
Whereas Charles Barkley said, there's a family member on the
court as the game just ended. First of all, it
shouldn't happen in the NBA that fans are running onto
the court. But there's a family member and he's in
your face, you have every right to defend yourself, Austin,

(04:00):
which side of those arguments would you land on that?
As an NBA player, you kind of just gotta let
that stuff go. I'm sure fans talk to players the
whole game anyway. Or if you're on the court and
someone comes and they're getting in your face, you have
the right to defend yourself.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Yeah, I mean, I thought it was interesting. After the game,
Giannis said he didn't know it was Tyrese Halliburton's dad,
and he's just trying to figure out why there's a
fan on the floor, right. And I think partially this
is the people in Indiana who all know who Halliburton's
dad is, just kind of letting him go on to

(04:39):
the floor and letting him get in the face of
a player, like that's on the people in Indiana for
not doing their job well enough and preventing that from happening.
And you can tell Jannis is just kind of staring
at him, like trying to figure out this situation, like
why is there a fan on the floor, and then
kind of putting the pieces together. I thought his answer

(05:00):
it was great that you know, he believes you should
be humble in victory and that he felt like it
was disrespectful him kind of going up at him and
letting him know that he wasn't like super physical with
him and didn't hurt him and didn't turn into a
big fight. I'm on the side of Giannis here.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
And me too. Yeah, I don't think it showed the
sheer size of Giannis as well. Yeah, there's no more
disrespectful than like putting your forehead on the top of
a guy's head.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
And I think Tyrese Haliburton handled it well too. Afterwards,
He's like, that's that can't happen.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Nice.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
I tell my dad, I'm gonna talk to my dad
about it, Like I don't agree with him, and so
on Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Other NBA news, to Fon Castle from the San Antonio
Spurs gives them back to back Rookie of the Year
award winners. To Fon Castle wins Rookie of the Year.
Major League Baseball. What a weird night last night. Obviously
we mentioned the Reds did not play. Not only did
teams play, teams had no problem scoring some runs last night.

(05:57):
The Yankees let off the game with back to back
to back home runs. They clubbed four home runs in
the first inning, and they beat the Orioles fifteen to three.
The Cubs shut out the Pirates. They stay hot nine zero.
The Texas Rangers get Jacob de Gram his first win

(06:18):
in almost two years. They do so by winning fifteen
to two and didn't hit one home run while scoring
fifteen runs.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Remarkable.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
And the Dodgers also won a game fifteen to two
last night over the Marlins. Shohei Otani hit a leadoff
home run on the first pitch of the game and
his first home run since becoming a father. A lot
of things happening in Major League Baseball last night, and
of course, the Resimera rained out from an NFL standpoint,

(06:52):
fines have been levied The Atlanta Falcons have been fined
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars by the NFL in
response to the prank phone call made to Shador Sanders
during the draft. That's not all Jeff Albright has been fined.
Albrick has been fined one hundred thousand dollars in response

(07:14):
to his twenty one year old son admitting to the
prank call. Can you imagine birthdays, holidays, what Christmas is
like going forward for his son, Jacks.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
He gets to hold that over his head for.

Speaker 3 (07:28):
The rest of my gosh, can you imagine? So awesome? Look,
the NFL had to do something, how would you handle that?

Speaker 6 (07:36):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (07:36):
My, Like, let's say, you know, obviously money's not an
issue to Jeff Albrick one hundred thousand dollars. That stings,
but it's not. It doesn't ruin your life. How would
you handle that as a fine? It's hard because his
kid's twenty one. How do you think so it's not
like you can just ground him at home? How do
you think Big Steve would handle that with you? Big
Steve would find a way. He'd tell me to pay

(07:56):
it back, do whatever I need to do. You're paying
it back at your fault. I just can't imagine, from
all Brooks standpoint, the power he now possesses over his
son at any point, like anytime his kids unruly, you
cost me one hundred grand. Anytime anytime he has an issue,
you cost me one hundred grand. And it's right by

(08:18):
the NFL because you're not going to take away draft
picks or anything like that. But you had to do
something because you can't let that information get out. But
I cannot imagine being Jack Jack's allbrick and having to
deal with that going forward. Unbelievable college hoops they graded,

(08:41):
did Myron Metcalf last year's Big East Conference? Teams that
overperformed maybe teams that underperformed as well. Xavier received an
A from Myron Metcalf said, boosted by the return of
freeman Xavier todde Marquette for a fourth place finish. They

(09:03):
won a game in the NCAA Tournament. Sean Miller is
now at Texas because the way he molded a Xavier
team made that made thirty nine percent of its three
point attempts and finished top fifteen adjusted offense. I'm interested
to know from Xavier fans, do you agree with that
if you had degrade last year's season as a Xavier
Musketeer fan, would you have given Xavier an A I

(09:27):
think that's interesting from a grading standpoint. Matt Miller ranked
his top one hundred draft picks of the NFL Draft
speaking of the NFL Draft, second highest TV ratings ever
for an NFL draft. Obviously, the Shador Sanders side of
things had a lot to do with that, but as

(09:49):
it relates to the picks themselves, Miller actually had Luther
Burden the third as the number one overall pick in
the draft, not from talent wise, but where he was
drafted in relation to how Matt Miller viewed these players,
Luther Burden was number one. For what it's worth, Will Johnson,

(10:12):
the corner that went to Arizona, was to Ashton gent three.
Johd Campbell was number four. If you're interested about any
of the Cincinnati Bengals, there are two Bengals that found
their way on this list. Shamar Stewart landed at number
thirty nine, and I believe as you scrolled down the

(10:33):
list just a little bit, there was another Bengal and
Dylan Fairchild that was number sixty three on the list.
Matt Miller said Fairchild was one of my favorite interior prospects.
Despite being banged up throughout the season. The O line
for the Bengals is in enough flux that I ranked
Guard as their number five overall needs. So two Bengals
land on Matt Miller's top one hundred. We could talk

(10:54):
about a little bit more about that as we go,
depending on the time we have this afternoon. The two
other things I gotta get to here, Austin, did you
see this runaway kangaroo on the loose?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I did not in Australia. Auburn, Alabama. Auburn, Alabama. This
kangaroo's name is Sheila, and Sheila actually shut it down,
shut down both sides of an Alabama interstate. Again, this
is not Australia. This is not a kangaroo that escaped
from the zoo. It was actually a pet that eventually

(11:29):
had to be tranquilized with a dart.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Oh man, I didn't know that, but it's okay now.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
The animals owner Patrick Starr, not the one from SpongeBob,
but actually Patrick Twar.

Speaker 4 (11:41):
Wait that's real. Wait really wait wait wait wait. The
guy that owns the kangaroo named Sheila is named Patrick Starr.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
That is correct, unbelievable, and Patrick Starr's family runs a
pumpkin patch and a petting zoo.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
Patrick pumpkin Patch, petty zoo. Yes, but is that on
mono pa. But Sheila is not a member of the
petting zoo. She's a personal pet. Oh boy, said Patrick Starr.

Speaker 3 (12:08):
She's sweet, she's back home, she's up, she's active, she's
not sedated, she's eating, she's drinking. She's not injured, said Patrick. Wait, Star,
it's okay. Yes, I thought you said they tranquilized it. Yeah,
just they didn't tranquilized to kill it. Oh, they're like
a tranquilizer gun to to sedate the kangaroo. If you've
seen the size of kye.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Maybe I didn't know what tranquilized me talk about that.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Talk about one hundred people versus gorilla kangaroos are nowhere.
I mean you've seen the chest of a kangaroos. Things
are scary animals. They're like believable big ones, like their
their paws, their feet. That sort of stuff is pretty unreal.
Like I went to, uh, gosh, what zoo did? I
went to Columbus Zoo. I think last summer and they
have an area you can just walk through where the

(12:53):
kangaroos at the Cincinnati now the kangaroos are about.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Yeah, I'm good. That's kind of scary.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
I was a little bit uneasy with that. You know,
I've never been to the Cincinnati Zoo. Really, it's an
award winning zoo. I know, I know. I used to
go to Toledo Zoo all the time I lived up
in Finley. I go to Columbus Zoo all the time.
I've never been to the Cincinnati Zoo.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
Yeah, I did. I had a class I used to live.
Told the story about the class I had at this
forty two seconds away from the zoo.

Speaker 7 (13:20):
I've never been.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
There, like Festival of Lights, nothing never, Man, that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (13:26):
Well, I'm gonna head out and I'm gonna go to
this zoo.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Yah, we'll say it's uh. The sheriff, which one like
Richard Jones or Dave Keaton, No, No, the actual sheriff
in Auburn, Alabama, Aubert, Alabama, Andre Brunson. He said, when
someone said there was a kangaroo, of course I didn't
believe it. Nobody believed it. But hey, here I am

(13:50):
looking at him. Have you ever seen We've seen a
little bit of everything here. Have you seen the video
of that guy that kangaroos attacking his dog? Yeah, and
he comes up and just smack like punches them in
a face and kangaroo's like what the yeah?

Speaker 7 (14:03):
You think.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
How many kangaroos? How many men?

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Ooh? I don't know many.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
That's a whole nother, but it's a whole different What
should we do for our poll question?

Speaker 7 (14:16):
Today?

Speaker 4 (14:17):
I had some stuff I had to do, other work,
stuff I had to do right before the show, So
I didn't have a chance to think of a poll question.
And we owe that to our good friend PJ. Street
from sustoms dot com. What's our poll question? So here's
live production happening this show.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
Here's one of the thoughts I had today because we
talked about major League baseball debuts. Yeah, now, the weather
out here, the weather it was projected to rain today.
The weather is much nicer than projected. It's not supposed
to rain at all today. And let's say you didn't
have plans to go to the ballpark, but you have
a free night and the number one prospect for your
team in the Cincinnati Reds is pitching tonight. Does that

(14:58):
alone cause you to want to go buy a ticket
and go to the game tonight? Because I know, like
when Ellie, when it happened with Ellie, I said that, Yeah,
there's a lot of people that said, I'm going to
this game because it's a debut. It's different for a pitcher.
But the number one prospect of the organization is on
the mound tonight?

Speaker 7 (15:16):
Is there for one prospect?

Speaker 3 (15:18):
He was the Reds number one prospect? Yes, their top prospect. Dang,
I didn't even realize that. So in knowing that top
prospect being called up, is that enough to want to
make you go down to the ballpark? Okay, I'm sorry.
It's one of their top prospects, not their top prospect.

(15:38):
Chase Petty is their sixth rank prospect. Okay, sorry, But
in knowing that seeing a debut, is that enough to
make you want to go to.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
The ballpark.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
Now?

Speaker 4 (15:52):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I also I also doubled back. I also doubled back
into conspiracies. I'm a sick person.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
This is what happens when I don't have you focusing
on show prep before the show. Yeah, you just you're
free to roam your own mind. Yeah, and that's a
problem for for many times. But I started diving into
uh two different conspiracies. Let me read you a couple
that I came across and read about. Okay, the elite.
Are we supposed to be doing this right now or

(16:22):
is this for later in the show. Well, we got
bicell hold too. I just want to read you these
and tell you I want to get your immediate pack.
I think we should explore them later.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
In the show. Okay, we'll explore these later.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Tell me, tell me what they are, and we'll circle back.
That's a tea, No, it's a teas. Now you got
to wait and listen. Oh see, because I thought we
were reviewing it Today's Yesterday's Top sports Stories brought to
my Claus Roofing Systems of Cincinnati, trusted local roofing, a
gutter company. You could visit k RS since you with
a y dot com, that's what I thought you were doing. Yeah,
so here's here's the tease.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Later in the show, I'm going to dive into the
world of insane conspiracies. And from now until then at
audiel More at Tony Underscore fifteen or via the talkback
leave us your most insane conspiracy theory.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Poll question just dropped as else Revivefitnessystems dot com pole quest.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
We can add to all of that, and you're right,
we need to get to a break because there's a
lot we got to get to it the Reds and
they start at twelve forty, so we got to get
that in before anything else.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Happened, like like Radio one oh one. First of all us,
we've barely communicated to you that today and that's probably
abundantly obvious to everybody listening right now. Number two, you
know Radio one oh one is you don't talk about
the Reds while the Reds are on because people go
and listen to the Reds instead of and if they
don't want to listen to the Reds, they're listening to you,

(17:37):
so they don't want to hear about the Reds.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
Right.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
That won't get that out of the way, now, Yeah,
So we'll try not to do play by play today
and get sued by Major League Baseball and we'll talk
about other things and on the Reds Conspiracy Theories by
Cell Hold Richard Skinner, Talkbacks, quick Hits, a little bit
of everything.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
More on the Reds next. Thanks to skyline, jilliots and
animals on the lease. Yes. In fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports station.

Speaker 7 (18:02):
He shouldn't.

Speaker 8 (18:05):
Want to swing in a deep drive center field going back,
bar Show slips on the warning track and makes the catch.

Speaker 9 (18:14):
Good Lord, Dalton.

Speaker 8 (18:16):
Barshaw somersaulted onto the track, turned around and backhandedate to
take extra vases away from Jaron Duran.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
I have never seen that before in my entire life.
How do you even describe that catch?

Speaker 7 (18:30):
Holy cow?

Speaker 8 (18:32):
Talton Barshow tripped on his feet, rolled over on the
warning track, had to look behind him over his left
shoulder to make the play. You may watch baseball for
the next fifty years and never see that again.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Wow, you know, I'm in agreement. I don't even know
the best way to describe that catch. Yeah, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
And he did a pretty good job on the Blue
Jays radio network right there trying to it. I mean,
on the TV call, they're just like, did he catch that?
Did he actually catch that? That was a crazy play
by Dalton var Show.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah. One, you just got to kind of go watch
and see to actually believe it happened. Reds as a
as a rainout happened last night. We'll play a doubleheader
today twelve forty six forty at Great American Ballpark. Nothing
really changes from a I think we do have a
lineup as well. Nothing changes from the starting pitcher standpoint.
Brady Singer will take the mound for the Cincinnati Reds. Austin.

(19:32):
Do we have the lineup in which the Reds will
be hitting today?

Speaker 4 (19:35):
We absolutely do, and that lineup includes a major league
debut as well. Here's how the Red Legs will line
them up. Game one coming up at twelve forty Great
American Ballpark, Game thirty of one and sixty two. This
is one of those tent pole games we've been talking about.
Where the Reds at after thirty, Well, we know they'll
be above five hundred, so that's a start. TJ. Friedel

(19:57):
leads off. He's in centerfield. Matt McClain bats second and
play second. The third batteries shortstop Elie de la Cruz.
Gavin Lux is the cleanup hitter and the d H
Noel V. Marte will play third and bat fifth, batting sixth.
The first baseman Spencer Steer. Jake Fraley returns the lineup.
He bats seventh and plays right. Jose a Travino bat's eighth.
He's the catcher and batting ninth and starting in left field.

(20:23):
What's his first name? Tyler Tyler Callahan. I couldn't remember.
I wanted to call him Levi. I think that's Levi
Jordan down there in Triple A Tyler with Brady Singer
on the mound. What a show we have for you today.
It's Ol Freied, Ol McClean, de la Cruz, lux Marte, Steer, Freiley, Travino,
Tyler Callahan making his big league debut with Brady Singer.

Speaker 7 (20:48):
On the mound.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
That is the twenty four year old Tyler Callahan, who
can play both infield and outfield and Triple A Louisville
through twenty four games was hitting three oh four with
an ops of nine thirty eight.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
By the way, Cardinals today, their lineup does not include
does not include Jose Barrero, So for the second straight day,
Barrero will not play, at least in this game today.
I would imagine he'll play in the second game.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
These moves coincide with a host of moves and conversations
that are being had now around the Cincinnati Reds. This
from Terry Francona's pregame yesterday. I got this from Mike Petralia.
Austin Hayes tweaked a hammy running the bases and scoring
in the sixth inning Monday. He's had an MRI. They

(21:36):
do they have I don't believe they have the results.
Do they have the results? Terry Francona said this morning
there are minor results. Okay, not sure exactly what that means.
He had the fastest sprint speed he's had in years
per MLB stats from what I've gathered and following along
with what Charlie Goldsmith had to say, they're trying to
manage this and be more safe than sorry.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Yeah, just trying to prevent putting him on the injured
list because they had to put another player on the
injured list today to make room for Tyler Callahan. That
being shocker, Candelario has gone to the injured lumbar strain.
Since the Reds are about to start, do we just
make this our postman low injury report. You know what
we should delivered by postman law injured postman delivers. So

(22:20):
Callahan called up Jamer Candelario put on the injured list.
Austin Hayes dealing with a hamstring tweak with minor MRI results.
Who's Chase Fraley? Well, Jake Frayley still a little banged up.
Jake Frayley back in the lineup today. Chase Petty has
brought up as the twenty seventh man for the doubleheader

(22:42):
according to Big League rules. Tyler Stevenson and company still
down in Triple A. They're in Memphis.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
Cees is getting another injection for his lower back, and
Tyler Stevenson caught last night and today He's gonna be
catching Hill d h Thursday, and then the Reds will
make a decision after that. That bang is today's Postman
Law Injury Report delivered by Postman Law Injured Call eight
four to four Postman.

Speaker 4 (23:08):
I saw this stat by Jay Morrison, who's great at
getting stats.

Speaker 10 (23:12):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
He said that today is the twenty first double header
in Great American Ballpark history. In those doubleheaders, the Reds
have swept a team just three times. They've split thirteen
times and gotten swept four times.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
The last time they swept a team was against the
Pittsburgh Pirates in twenty twenty. It's a little nugget shout
out to Jay Morrison for that. I like this, Yeah,
what else?

Speaker 3 (23:41):
Well, of worse, we're all caught up for the Reds today,
I think, so yeah, we're set to go. So here's
what we'll do. The Reds go at twelve forty. Let's
take a break, let's come back and uh, we'll get
some phone calls, all right? Five one, three, seven, four nine,
fifteen thirty. Thanks to our friends at Skyline Chili. This
is since he three sixty on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station. Welcome back, since he three sixty, a service

(24:10):
of Skyline Chili. We've got a full set of phone lines.
We've got to start sifting through here, Austin our number one,
sifting sifting through our number one since he three sixty. Uh,
we'll get into more on the Bengals. Richard Skinner will
join us at one o'clock. Your talkbacks and so much more.
Let's start mark. What's up?

Speaker 10 (24:31):
Hey, I'm confused about something? Okay, but I got Tony
play that's gonna make it make sense, and I know
he can do it. The dak's still picking up to
see if for your option that was I think that
happened yesterday. Yes, now, from my perspective, he didn't work

(24:52):
out as safety last year he got hurt, so do
you really know if he can be a quarterback? And
they never tried in that slot corner, that's what he
played in college. So to me, you really don't know,
You really don't know what he is. And I saw
a post on Facebook about it, and then my response

(25:15):
to that was.

Speaker 11 (25:15):
You know why?

Speaker 10 (25:17):
And then I saw a love comment you know emoji
from Joe Burrow. So so, Tony Pike, make this all
make sense on why the Bengals chose to pick up
his fifth year option, you know, before we really know
what he really is. And then I'm gonna get off

(25:37):
and listen.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Mark, I appreciate the phone call, Thank you one. I
think it shows that he's one hundred percent healthy, there
are no injury concerns. He is as viewed by the
team as an elite prospect with major upside. I don't
know if it's boundary corner. I don't know if it's

(25:58):
inside as a slot defender, but it's one of the
as currently constructed weakest positions of the team. A team
that needs the most help, or a position that needs
the most help, you can ill afford to lose a
key piece to that and now it gives you two
opportunities in the next two seasons to figure out what
that role is going to be and where Dax Hill

(26:18):
will thrive. I don't think you can fairly judge Dax
Hill because he made a very hard transition. He switched
to a different position in the NFL. That's hard to do.
So I do believe that they still see an upside
in Dax Hill.

Speaker 4 (26:35):
They were thrilled with what he did last year at cornerback,
and they're as high on him as they are about
any player on the roster. Like that's truly what they
believe about Dax Hill. The other thing is relativity. Cheap
twelve and a half million dollars. It was the lowest
possible amount for a fifth year option because he hasn't
made any Pro Bowls and All Pros and stuff like that,

(26:57):
and there's not a lot of players under tracked outside
of the Big Three for the next several years, and
so because of that, you have some financial flexibility, and
if you believe in him as a prospect, it makes sense.
Part of the reason also is because they don't know
about Cam Taylor Britt and Cam's gonna be a free
agent next year, So they are trying to lock down

(27:17):
somebody they at least believe in at cornerback. And you
mentioned slot. He's not gonna play slot. We already know
Josh Newman. Josh Newton is the guy that they've chosen
to take over the Mike Hilton role, which means Dax
is going to be back on the outside.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
If Newton were to struggle, would Dax be the guy
to slide in?

Speaker 4 (27:34):
You would think. I think athletically he fits the profile
and played a little bit of that in college.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
That safety experience, now sure you'd be more comfortable with that. Yeah,
Johnny is calling it. What's up, Johnny?

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Hello from Highway seventy one. I'm coming back from that
terrible city up nor If.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
Unfortunately, have you seen a kangaroo yet?

Speaker 6 (27:58):
No, absolutely not. I'm keeping my eyes on the road.
All I do is hear your voices. I'm talking right now.
Nice question for you.

Speaker 9 (28:08):
Two weeks from.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
Today, the NFL schedule will get released. Oh yes, you know,
I know a lot of people complain about the announcement
of the announcement, but heck I love it. I want
to ask you, what is one we know the future
oponents at home? And away and you can pull that
up on your computers if you want.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
But what is one team.

Speaker 6 (28:31):
That you want in primetime? And what is one team
you don't specifically? You know, what's the team you're excited to?

Speaker 12 (28:39):
You know?

Speaker 6 (28:40):
I want to see that matchup on a Sunday Monday night.
I think that'd be great. And what's another team that
you're just like? Eh, let's beck that at one o'clock.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
I would love that Lions game to be a primetime
game just because of the style in which the Lions
play and how good they've been. Uh, that would be
my home game I want to see in primetime on
the road, I think, just based on the matchup itself
and how good the teams are, I'd like to see
him in primetime against Buffalo again. I'm good on like
the Pittsburgh Steelers in primetime. I don't need to see

(29:10):
that again. That would be mine for me. The home game.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
I'd love to have Caleb Williams come into Cincinnati and Chicago.
A couple of number one picks going at a Burrow
and Caleb Williams, I would love to have him face
that atmosphere.

Speaker 13 (29:24):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (29:24):
And on the road, I would say I would prefer Buffalo,
but if I had to make a prediction, I would
say Denver because it feels like the Bengals and Broncos
always put at primetime.

Speaker 6 (29:40):
The game that I do not want, because I think
it's not fair, is the Ravens always get to host
the primetime game at home, Like, can we please have Cincinnati.

Speaker 12 (29:50):
Host Bengals Ravens in primetime?

Speaker 6 (29:53):
Like it's always at Baltimore When it's at primetime.

Speaker 4 (29:56):
THEFC North road games are in primetime. Remember a couple
of years ago they played all three of them primetime
road games.

Speaker 3 (30:02):
It was awful.

Speaker 6 (30:04):
The last thing I do not want Thursday night Football
Battle of Ohio. I'm sorry, I'm.

Speaker 9 (30:10):
Thick of it.

Speaker 6 (30:11):
I'd rather play the Jaguars or something. I don't need
the Browns and Bengals on a Thursday night again.

Speaker 14 (30:17):
Fair.

Speaker 7 (30:17):
Yeah, I'm with you there.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
Austin, if you could right now predict what the Bengals
defense will finish this year, and Tolley, if you could
predict what you think the offense will finish from a
one to thirty two rankings, what are your predictions.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
I'm gonna say twentieth. I'll say number two for the offense.

Speaker 7 (30:39):
Bang.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
Hell, yeah, all right, you have a great restord.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
That's a number two seed right there, John two seed,
twentieth in defense, second in offense. It's a two seed.

Speaker 9 (30:50):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (30:51):
We'll probably face like Baltimore or something.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Yep, Mike, what's happening?

Speaker 14 (30:57):
Hey guys, thanks for taking the call. Listen. I know
Friedle is a good deal, good center fielder, but hey, dude,
you ain't gonna match that catch by bar show. I
don't care who made might not have made that catch, buddy.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
I've never seen anything like that to not only that, like,
if you're just as a person, if you've ever fallen
and rolled over, you're not on balance when you get up,
You're you're kind of you, you kind of lost obviously,
your your center of gravity. You're trying to collect yourself.
How you can fall roll over, track a ball and

(31:32):
catch it backhanded, I will never understand.

Speaker 14 (31:38):
I can't get it you Okay, go ahead, I'm sorry, Tom. Yeah,
that was unbelievable. So the other thing I wanted to
mention was, how about I'm not telling you If somebody
tries to tell me the joker ain't the best basketball
player in the world, you can kiss my foot. This
guy had his twenty first career curple double in the playoffs. Yeah,

(32:00):
he scores thirteen points, but he pops out of a
dozen rebounds about a dozen assists. The guy's game is
in flable. I thought Larry Bird had a good savvy
for the game, but he wasn't as good as this dude.
This dude is. His savvy basketball is on off the chart.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
I think to be I think to be one of
the best players, you have to have a feel not
only for the game, but you have to have a
feel of the individual game that's being played. And for
the joker. He knows when to go and he knows
when to stop. He knew Jamal Murray was the hot
hand last night, so he could become more of a facilitator.
If someone struggling, then he adds more points. If he

(32:38):
needs to get inside, he goes inside and bangs with rebounds.
He just he's one of the most unique in my opinion,
because he reads the game possession to possession, not game
to game, not quarter to quarter. But he reads as
he goes, and I think it's fascinating. I do too.

Speaker 14 (32:54):
You know, when you see the guy you didn't know
you think he was a Bounce or somewhere production worker.
He looks anything but like a FOOTBA basketball player. It's incredible.
And how about the Pride of Kentucky going off last
night for.

Speaker 3 (33:07):
Forty three for Jamal Murray Man he is He's one
of those guys when the playoffs come around, his play elevates.

Speaker 14 (33:14):
And we're just coming off a foot injury too, So
he's special. And the last thing I wanted to say was,
I think it's worth mentioning tomorrow is made of first
and that's the fiftieth anniversary of the end of the
Vietnam War, and I think it should be recognized for
the seventy thousand dead and about two hundred and sixty
five thousand wounded. So I felt an obligation to bring

(33:38):
well said thanks, thanks for the time, guys.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Thank you, Mike, have a great day. Let's round these
out here, John Michael, what's up?

Speaker 14 (33:48):
Hey, Kenny?

Speaker 7 (33:48):
How you doing man?

Speaker 3 (33:49):
I'm great? How are you?

Speaker 9 (33:51):
Oh?

Speaker 12 (33:51):
I'm doing fantastic. Somebody just told me that Billy Price
retired from the NFL became Yeah, he became your I am.

Speaker 10 (34:04):
I just told that.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
I thought it was a spouf.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
My boy, my boy, Billy just got another degree. He
just went back to school, got another degree.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Has he done playing?

Speaker 4 (34:16):
Yeah, he had a medical issue. He had to retire.

Speaker 12 (34:20):
Yeah, it was called not being good.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
That's mean John.

Speaker 14 (34:24):
He's like, hey man, you got to retire.

Speaker 12 (34:27):
Why you've got the doctor said you've got that that ailment.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
It's called you suck John. That's not nice, man.

Speaker 12 (34:35):
I know, dude, I'm not doing trying to do nice
stuff today.

Speaker 7 (34:39):
I'm just trying.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
That's what happened with Jamercandeloreo's injury.

Speaker 7 (34:42):
Oh thoughts.

Speaker 12 (34:44):
I have no idea, but I was watching that Sir
Sanders getting prank called. You know, the first thing I
thought was, like, I guarantee Toney felt the same way
when the Panthers called him.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I did. I thought it was a prank call. He
almost didn't answer.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
People forgot the Bengels said they were gonna draft him apparently, Man,
what a sickness.

Speaker 12 (35:04):
Yeah, yeah, I have one last fat last year than
that Schimmer Stewart like I should be on the LFO
roster or something.

Speaker 9 (35:15):
I don't.

Speaker 12 (35:16):
I don't think that was a good pick, man, I
really don't.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
How what did you do for the draft?

Speaker 12 (35:22):
We had some people up, me and my mom her boyfriend.
You not like, yeah, trust me, you don't want to
meet him either. He's just he's super pretentious. He tries
to talk to me like a child. I'm like forty
one years old, and I'm like, hey man, I'm not
gonna make my bed, Like what am I talking about this?

Speaker 7 (35:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (35:44):
Why are you in my room? Adult man? In adult
man's room? Like, give me a break. But we had
I had some friends up and uh, well he's in
the basement. We got some beat ups catering and my
mom she got in Chipotle catering too, which was really nice.
And it was just four of us just sat here

(36:05):
and we watched the draft for four days.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Three days, three days. That's awesome.

Speaker 12 (36:10):
Yep, what'd you do for the draft?

Speaker 3 (36:12):
We had a draft show that we hosted down at
the Holy Grail, and then uh just kind of hung
out over the weekend and watched the draft, just kind
of hunkered down.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
Younkered.

Speaker 12 (36:23):
How how's Megadeth and the kids?

Speaker 3 (36:26):
She's doing great?

Speaker 4 (36:27):
What'd she what'd you call her?

Speaker 12 (36:30):
In her name?

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Megadath?

Speaker 12 (36:35):
I get confused, guys, I get so confused sometimes. All right,
all right, who's the better white baseball player, Derek Jeter
or Pete Rose.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
Mm. That's a great question. It's hard hard not to
say Pete. Yeah, Pete's the hit king and we're coming
up on Pete Rose Day.

Speaker 12 (36:53):
That's what May fourteenth?

Speaker 3 (36:55):
Yeah, yeah, same night as the schedule release, Donalds.

Speaker 12 (37:01):
Who's playing? Who's playing the first game? Feelers are playing
somebody over overseas or something, aren't they.

Speaker 7 (37:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:08):
I think there's another game in Brazil, and obviously the
Eagles will host the first game on a Thursday night,
but they haven't said who they're gonna play yet.

Speaker 12 (37:16):
I think they need to go to Japan. They need
to play a football game in Japan, and I don't
think they need to do well well, well, can you
hear me out?

Speaker 9 (37:25):
No?

Speaker 12 (37:30):
Will you hear me out?

Speaker 3 (37:31):
Sure?

Speaker 7 (37:31):
Go ahead.

Speaker 12 (37:35):
They do football in Japan and they get football and
they're like, oh man, football is so great.

Speaker 10 (37:42):
And then we have.

Speaker 12 (37:43):
All those sumo wrestlers that could play offensive line or
defensive line.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
That's how you stop the toush push.

Speaker 12 (37:50):
Yeah, you just get yokozuna.

Speaker 3 (37:53):
That's right there.

Speaker 4 (37:53):
You go back.

Speaker 3 (37:55):
You get points for a WWE reference as well.

Speaker 6 (37:58):
What about wrestle?

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Mayne loved it?

Speaker 15 (38:01):
I even did that to them, dude, No, man.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
See him punk and roll.

Speaker 16 (38:08):
No.

Speaker 12 (38:08):
I was sitting here with my I got a matam
and wrestling, Buddy. I was sitting here. I had tape
all over my hands, tancels on my what used to
be biceps. And I was like full year and I
mean it just I was like, why are you going
back and forth after you did that? Like, man, he's
just up there trying to ring the bell, you know

(38:28):
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
Yeah, I get it, man, I get it. John Michael,
have a great day, buddy. It's so great to hear
from you.

Speaker 9 (38:34):
Hi.

Speaker 12 (38:35):
I love you guys.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
I love you too. John. There's John Michael. A uh
ten pitch first inning. That's all Brady Singer needed to
get out of the first. Unfortunately, one of those ten
pitches went over the wall. Mason went homeward, Redger down
one oh coming to bat in the bottom of the first.
We'll finish up our number one next on the SBN
fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station, a service of Skyline Chili.

Speaker 11 (38:59):
Cincinnati. Make us the number one pre sid.

Speaker 3 (39:01):
On Welcome back since he three sixty ESBN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station, a service of our good friends. It's
Skyline Chili. Anytime you're feeling good and hungry, it's Skyline time.

(39:22):
Thanks for joining us. A little bit of what's coming
up the next couple hours. Richard Skinner from Local twelve
will join us as we get kicked off in hour
number two. In just a couple of minutes, of course,
your talkbacks, we will get into some Cincinnati Bengals, a
position by position outlook of where the team stands right now,
some possible free agents that remain, and the Bengals director

(39:43):
of scouting Mike Potts one on the Bengals Booth podcast,
and I thought there were some interesting takeaways with what
he had to say. We'll pair that up with a
thought that we've we've had now since the draft ended,
and that is the amount of pressure that is being
placed on Al Golden in year one as the Bengals

(40:03):
defensive coordinator to get more out of the current roster
than what they were able to get out of him
last year. Do we have can we update our poll
question for today? Do we have an opportunity to do
that here? With a minute or two.

Speaker 4 (40:17):
We sure can Our Revivefitnessystems dot Com poll question brought
to you by coach PJ. Street and Revive Fitnessystems dot com.
This one, a Tony Pike special, is Red's number six prospect,
Chase Petty making his NFL or NFL MLB debuted tonight
enough to make you go to the game right now?

(40:38):
Sixty nine percent say no, I will be there tonight.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
You know it's hard because it's not only a debut,
it's also a team that has currently won five games
in a row.

Speaker 4 (40:49):
It's true playing much better baseball. Shout out by the
way to Big Hen. I think he's probably working right now,
but I'm gonna see you tonight, Big Hen. Oh yeah,
you got big time seats. Come on with it now,
must be nice. I got good friends, That's what I got.
Cannot hide the money, not trying to. What else do
we have going on right now? Ellie de la Cruz

(41:11):
just extended his hitting streak to thirteen games. Okay, so
I guess the new poll question could be, will Ellie
de la Cruz break Pete Rose's record forty four consecutive
games with a hit?

Speaker 3 (41:23):
Okay, Reds record dive right into that.

Speaker 7 (41:27):
Okay, just think about it.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
I was also reading we talked earlier in the show
about the NFL has fined the Falcons two hundred and
fifty thousand dollars and their defensive coordinator has been fined
one hundred thousand dollars. That guy's poor son man is
going to be hearing about this for the rest of
his life. Abdull Carter says that he also received a
prank phone call. See it happens all the time. He

(41:50):
got called by someone pretending to be the Jacksonville Jaguars
and saying that they were going to take him with
the number two overall pick. And I know there was
another prospect the draft that I had read about that
also received prank calls, but as of now, it doesn't
believe that they're related. Mason Graham, Tyler Warren, Kyle McCord,

(42:12):
Chase Lunt, all players that were drafted received prank phone
calls during the draft, Like, is there any way to
stop that? No prank phone calls happen all the time. Yeah,
but do you do you now have to find all
of these teams, like why are the Falcons the ones
being fined?

Speaker 4 (42:29):
Because because of how the uniqueness of Shador Sanders having
just gotten a new phone number that only NFO personnel
had That's why there's a lot of these dudes that
have had the same phone forever, phone number forever that
you can call them, and it gets around and people
have phone numbers. That happens. But Shador had just gotten

(42:50):
a new phone and it specifically just got it to them.

Speaker 3 (42:53):
Correct.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
So and also I think the enormity of the sly
and how everything's on video and it all coming out
like there's a smoking gun here where somebody has to
pay the price, and the Falcons figuratively and literally did.
They also said in the Falcon statement.

Speaker 12 (43:13):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (43:14):
They released the statement saying they appreciate the NFL swift
and thorough review of last week's data exposure and the
event that transpired due to it. Says the Albrick family
is working with the Falcons to participate in community service
initiatives in relation to the last weeks matter.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
Poor jacks Man Jackson's life will never be the same. Oh,
it's so funny. It'll be held over him for ever.
Why didn't I get a Christmas gift this year? You
got one hundred thousand of them? Yeah, I ask your
door for one. Take a break.

Speaker 4 (43:49):
Do you imagine asking your dad for money at any
point ever. Again, no, you never get it. Better start better.
But also but also bear with me here, isn't it
kind of Jeff Ulbrick's fault too?

Speaker 3 (44:02):
Yes, okay, that information shouldn't be out. There's just so
unless this kid was like snooping through stuff.

Speaker 4 (44:07):
Yeah, but if you leave in an iPad unintended, right,
come on, fair, We'll be back with Richard Skinner. You
imagine the mom like standing between them, trying to separate them.

Speaker 3 (44:19):
You owe me one hundred thousand dollars. Like, That's what
I'm more interested in. Was was like the number just
randomly left out on the on the the laptop or
the iPad, or did like Jack's like go looking for it. Yeah,
that's a completely different conversation. I wonder how Skinny would
handle it. We'll find out since he three sixty ESPN
fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station, a service of Skyline Chile.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Kwise Cincinnati, make us the number one pre set on
your car radio and on the free knew it improved.
iHeartRadio app Free never sounded so good.

built just for you.

Speaker 11 (44:56):

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Welcome back our two Cincy three sixty thanks to Cincy Shartz.
Thank you for listening on THEESBN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports

We'll get to those next, but for now, from Local
twelve covering sports, our good friend Richard Skinner joins us.
Right now, Skinny, what's up?

Speaker 9 (45:22):
How are we doing, Tony?

Speaker 7 (45:23):
I'm good?

Speaker 3 (45:24):
How are you?

Speaker 9 (45:25):
I'm doing?

Speaker 3 (45:25):
Swell, Skinny? Before we dive into the Bengals in the
Skinner household, how would you handle the situation that's unfolding
right now around Jeff Albrick right now in the Atlanta Falcons.
He has been fined one hundred thousand dollars for his
son prank calling Shador Sanders. As a parent, what are

(45:46):
you going to do in that situation?

Speaker 9 (45:49):
Well, I did this with my child when she was twelve,
when she stass back to her mom one Sunday morning.
This is a true story. I told her how lucky
she had it. I literally I think I don't think
she touched the step. I think I just grabbed her,
pulled her down the steps and then took her around
to some housing projects just to show her how good
she's got it. I do something some of that, you know,
you just you gotta do something with that. The guy's

(46:12):
also a dope, believing his iPad out too. That's that's
kind of because the kid that the kid did so
many stupid things here, Tony, so many stupid things. Number
one taping himself.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
I mean, right, you're.

Speaker 6 (46:23):
Gonna do it.

Speaker 9 (46:23):
If you were gonna do it, and try to be
sneaking about it, don't do The Jerky Boys were great
because we never knew who the Jerky Boys were until
the movie came out. Okay, so in that regard, Yeah,
but he's also twenty one years old, and maybe it's time.

Speaker 14 (46:35):
He's kicked him out of the house.

Speaker 9 (46:36):
You're twenty one, son, you're an adult. Don't live your life.

Speaker 3 (46:38):
I can't imagine ever expecting another Christmas present, a Birthday present, anything.
I mean, you go call your door, call s you door,
see if he'll get you one.

Speaker 12 (46:46):
Exactly.

Speaker 9 (46:47):
Now, we'll give the kid credit for this. The kid
did call sha door and apologize. I'll give you credit
for manning up to that. I can only imagine what that.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
Phone call was late unbelievable as it relates to the
six phone calls that the Bengals man as a whole.
As a collective, how did you view the draft class
for the Bengals.

Speaker 9 (47:06):
Yeah, as a collective good. I know people are going
to question the first round pick and understand me. So
I said this on a segment I did with Adam
Clements in our newscast on Friday. We were just rehashing
the first round pick and looking ahead to Day two.
I said, honestly, if you put three minutes of tape
on and you didn't know anything about him, you just
put three minutes of tape on of some of his
best moments, you'd go, oh, my gosh, what a beast.

(47:28):
And then I tell you he had four and a
half sacks and thirty seven college games, and you'd scratch
your head and go, wait a minute. What that doesn't
seem to translate. I think the other positive about Shamar
Stewart is this, And I know people are kind of
wringing their hands at the Bengals didn't dress tackle. I
really didn't think they were going to. I mean, you
re signed BJ Hill, you signed TJ. Slayton, you spent
a second round pick and a third round pick last
on that position group. I know you're looking for more

(47:49):
pass rushed Juice Well Schamar Stewart rushed inside. I think
we'll see Joseph Osai rush inside some. So you know,
if you can mix and match some of those things,
I think you solved that deal. I think the biggest
clearing thing they did do was address safety, right. I mean,
you know, you're two starters. Gino Stone and Jordan Battle
both tied for the one hundred and thirty sixth graded
safety out of one hundred and seventy one in the NFL.

(48:11):
That's the good news. The bad news is the backups.
Tyson Anderson's never played a defensive snap in the NFL.
Dajon Anthony played eleven snaps, and one of those was
the ullvated pass interference against Kansas City. And the only
two hundred safeties on your roster are two practice squad guys.
I can't imagine they don't go out and sign a
veteran free agent safety.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
Not only that, but the secondary as a whole. You're
relying a lot on Dak Siel to come back. I
just secondary corner safety. It feels like as we now
enter that next stage of the offseason, that still feels
like a position group, those two position groups that are
extremely light.

Speaker 9 (48:47):
Yeah, no question, I don't think this is going to happen.
But I guess it's also a possibility to put Daks
back to the safety spot. I mean, he's coming off
the knee surgery. He's probably not going to be up
to one hundred percent from a speed standpoint. You know, maybe,
you know, maybe he understands that golden systems better, maybe
he understands that position better. I do think they want

(49:08):
to keep him an outside corner, but maybe that's a possibility.
And if you do that, though, then you are gonna
have to go out and sign a veteran corner for sure,
and I don't so sure you shouldn't do that already.
You know, we've kind of found out today the structure
of Zach Moss's deal, and they basically say one point
seven mil and salary cap there. I imagine they're gonna
cut Jermaine Pratt and that'll save you another six mil.

(49:28):
And you know, can you sign a safety and a
corner with that and you still have you're probably roughly
you know, ten million dollars of cap space, maybe twelve Again,
you got to always subtract about twelve million off what
you see from what the Bengals account for. So you
still have some money, and you know, maybe that money's
being saved to extend Trey Hendrickson. But I do to
your point, I think you need at least to get
a veteran safety who can start, and a veteran corner

(49:52):
who can who is at least a quality backup. I
think those those seem to be priorities to me.

Speaker 4 (49:55):
Speaking of that, I mean we we've also heard that
Josh Newton is tabbed as the guy to replace Mike Hilton,
kind of as the slot corner. I think a lot
of people thought Dax Hill would be that guy. What
do you make of the idea of putting Josh Newton there?

Speaker 9 (50:09):
Yeah, I did too. I think internally they don't think
Josh has quite enough quickness to contend on the outside.
But he's you know, he played some sleep, actually played
a lot of slot corner in college, so it's not
a new position to him. It's a fairly familiar position.
He's a physical guy, feels like he checks off a
lot of the boxes of what you want in a
slock corner. He's a good tackler. Again, he probably doesn't
have a foot speed to get the guys outside, but

(50:29):
physical enough to jam up the slot guys. I think
he's gonna get first crack. It may not be that
way come opening day, because I thought that was the
place that Dax Hill was targeted as well and ticketed
as well. I think they want I'm not so sure
they know what to do with with dj Turner yet.
I mean, is he gonna be a guy can get
through a season? Is he fragile?

Speaker 7 (50:46):
You know?

Speaker 9 (50:47):
I think if if you wrote it down on paper today,
it would probably be daxon camp Teller brit on the
outside and Josh Newton on the inside. But if Josh
can't cut it in camp, then you have to have
a backup plan to that, and I guess the backup
plan would be daxon the slot. Like to all these
conversations we're having right now, Dak Skip's getting jerked around
like the outside corners, these flat corners. He's safety. I
think they do view him as an outside corner. But

(51:08):
let's not forget when chio o'uzia came back from from
his knee injury, and he suffered his a little bit
later in the year before he suffered his October thirty first,
and Dak suffered his in late in late September, so
about a month apart. You know, it took a long
time for cheto to get up the speed, and he
never really did. Now, again, he was an older guy.
Dax's as much younger, and you think he kind of
maybe can bounce back a little faster. But I mean,

(51:30):
she wasn't the same guy when that next season started,
by any stretch of the imagination.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
One other thing on the draft as a whole coming
out of it, were you surprised that they only remained
with six draft picks? Did you think that they would
find ways to make a few moves to try to
add We heard Duke Toven talk about that leading into
the draft, of wanting more picks. Were you surprised that
it finished with just six s elections?

Speaker 9 (51:55):
I am, because again you had more than just the needs,
and I thought all along, you know, the sixth round
pick was either going to be a wide receiver or
running back. You gotta probably needed to use what I
would call a luxury pick just to get a you know,
something there. They filled these otherwise. But if you had
a chance to have another pick or two, if you
could have traded back and gotten an extra third round

(52:15):
pick or a fourth round pick, I think you could
have and would have addressed the safety position.

Speaker 3 (52:19):
Now.

Speaker 9 (52:20):
Zach said in his post draft press conference that they
fielded calls. Maybe they were never wowed. I mean, I
don't know what they needed to be woud because a
lot of teams shuffled around them, moving up and down.
So there were obviously deals that were made and deals
that were satisfactory for other teams. Maybe they wanted to
be wild and they weren't wild, and and you know,
I guess I can't fault them for that because they
feel like they got the guys they wanted. I mean,
they they seemed to think they were sweating out the

(52:41):
metrious night. Maybe they were. I don't think they were.
I think he could have gone back in that round.
You probably could have gotten him. And I liked the pick.
I mean I mocked him on Friday when I did
a second and third round pick and James repeat and
I battled on Friday in the press room. He was
making fun of me, making that the mock pick so
I liked the kid, I liked the pick. I just
but I think you could have probably well if there
was a partner. And that's the big iffing is we

(53:02):
don't know what partners or were you could have moved back.
I still think you could have gotten him.

Speaker 4 (53:06):
Is Rappine just absolutely insufferable during the draft in the
media worker.

Speaker 9 (53:11):
Yes, I will, I will give fool as. I love
him to death because he keeps the conversation lively. But
oh yeah, there's no question there's he is. He is
junior GM. Man, I love it.

Speaker 4 (53:21):
I'll if you just look at the amount of phone
calls I received from James Repine on draft weekend, you
would think he thinks I'm the GM.

Speaker 7 (53:30):
It's amazing.

Speaker 9 (53:33):
That doesn't surprise me. Man, he needs he needs to
be heard.

Speaker 3 (53:37):
Do you do you feel confident in the position of
guard outside of the draft or do you still need
to see this team attack guard somewhere in free agency?

Speaker 1 (53:48):
No?

Speaker 9 (53:48):
I think they're set. I think if they had not
come away with a pick that they think can be
a plug and play starter, and I think they think
Dylan Fairchow is he's gonna get having tract to be
the starting left guard they come out of the draft.
Without that, I decintively think they would have gone and
gotten a brand. And sure A tried because he's he's
been talking about retiring, or a Dalton Risn or somebody
along those lines. You know, they Zach has talked about

(54:10):
wanting to see Cody Ford settling at a position, and
that position for them would be guard. And you know,
I don't think it would be a bad thing for
a Cody Ford, Lucas Patrick, Dylan Fairshod waiting in the wings,
or if Dylan wins the job, Dylan Dylan and Lucas
Patrick or Cody Ford at the right guard. And I
think it would be a better group than last year.

(54:31):
And I don't think you need a giant jump there.
You need better performance on what you got, and I
think you'll get better performance.

Speaker 3 (54:38):
A lot of folks view todz Brooks as a steal
in the sixth round from a pass protection standpoint, from
a production at what he was able to do at
Texas Tech. When all is said and done, do you
view toz Brooks as the number two or is he
not there yet?

Speaker 9 (54:56):
That's such a good question because you know, normally they
don't spring four backs up on game day right, and
I don't we Samaji p Ran is not gonna be
the odd guy out. I don't think Zach Moss is
gonna be the odd guy out. And Zach still has
not been fully cleared I think to play yet. Zach
said he was trending in the right direction, which is
good news. You know, this is possibly TODs Brooks. TODs
Brooks is probably their second best pure runner and maybe

(55:19):
that's just the guy that if something happens in Chase Brown,
you elevate him, you know, the next week very quickly
to get some carries. So that is an interesting one
because he's got a lot of traid on the tires.
But he's really good. I'm sure you watched him Tony
against U See and he was I remember watching that game, going,
this guy's really good. I never even thought about the
potential draft the ability of the render that think. I
just remember watching going, who this guy's good and he is.

(55:40):
I just think it gives you another another back that
that is capable of carrying the load. I just don't
know Zach Moss is that guy. And I think somaj
day we know what his role is going to be, right,
third down back, as a pass receiver, pass block, or
all of those things, maybe as a closer at times
running back wise, So yeah, I'm interested to see what
they do with TODs Brooks and if he forces their
hand to play him.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Anything in taking a defensive end with the first pick
changed anything for you as it relates to Trey Hendrickson, No.

Speaker 9 (56:11):
Because I think they were always gonna have to do that.
I mean, if you look at it now, let's just
include Trey. Let's just let's just go with the option
that Trey's gonna play this year, not get an extension,
and he's obviously then going to go off the free agency.
I mean, he's in the last year of his contract.
O silently signed a one year contract. You know, the
jury is still way out on Miles Murphy, right, I mean,
they're gonna give him every chance this year, but then

(56:31):
if the year three is a bust, at that point,
Tray's the free free agency, Joseph the free agency, your
other end. Miles Murphy's a bus. You better have had
somebody in the pipeline. And I think that was the
eye on that too. To get a little bit more dynamic,
you know, from a from a trade standpoint. Obviously he's
got that. Again, the fact that he can rush from
the inside. I think there's a plus for them that
they do that is they've addressed their their pass rushing tackle,

(56:52):
if you will, on obvious situations. So now I think
every time I mopped the draft, I took MIKEL Williams,
and obviously he was gone at that point. A couple
of drafts I went with safety, and again that's right.
I felt like in every mock draft I did, I
usually would go edge and using a similar obviously, and
you know, so those things are different than what takes
place real wise, I took an edge or safety, and

(57:15):
then in some I would go safety edge, So I
had edge going off at least by the end of
round two. And everything I did.

Speaker 4 (57:21):
We've heard the Bengals talk a lot skinny about, you know,
starting fast and tweaking the off season program. I know
you can't gain a lot from what they've done so far,
but you've been in the building, You've been around some
of these guys. Is there any notable changes about the
way the Bengals are approaching things or anything you can
pick up on that think that may think the off
season program's a little bit different, No.

Speaker 9 (57:42):
Because all they're doing right now is just conditioning stuff.
They get on the field next week, and I'll be
interested to see what's different there for sure, and certainly
training camp. What it's going to be different about training camp.
I mean, Zach Is also talked about being wide open
to playing starters more, and Joe Burrows talked about he
wants to play in the preseason. I think those are
the changes you're going to see. I don't think there's
anything as of yet that maybe they're doing something, you know,

(58:03):
from a conditioning standpoint, I doubt it. I'm sure it's
got the same routine's going and whatnot. But it'll be
interesting what we see them get on there. I know,
up at the Combine when we talked to Al Golden,
he talked about he thinks OTAs are important, Like He's like,
we need to use every OTA minute we can to
get this thing up to speed by the time camp hits,
so we can get things up to speed by the
time the season starts. So you can tell he knows

(58:23):
what the sense of urgency and he certainly feels it.
So I think that's a good sign.

Speaker 3 (58:27):
Yeah, the way in which this team drafted. The way
in which they've handled the offseason would tell you on
the outside that they have a lot of trust in
what the the current roster construction is in doing that.
How much pressure does Al Golden become under in year
one as a defensive coordinator with a lot put on

(58:47):
his plate?

Speaker 9 (58:49):
Yeah, I mean, listen, it very much seems like they
believe Al can fix a lot of the ills of
the defense, and certainly the players they brought it helped that.
I mean, I'm not even get Al went to the
linebacker room, studied tape and said, we got to get
younger and better there. And you know, Jermaine practice didn't
cut it last year. He'd been a fine pro, had

(59:10):
done some good things since he began starting twenty nineteen.

Speaker 7 (59:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (59:13):
The other part, Logan Wilson hasn't gone through a full
season other than one time. He's had some injury issues
where he's busin sometimes. I'm they let out look at
that linebacker room and said, okay, not just one linebacker.
We're gonna ahead draft two linebackers for you. We're drafting
your edge rusher in the first round. And then I
think they think that the schematics and what he can
do schematically is going to going to fix some of that.
That's the only time we'll tell that. But I think

(59:34):
they've put put either a lot of pressure, if you will,
Tony your point, or a lot of faith that he
can get this thing right.

Speaker 3 (59:41):
What do you view as the opportunity or the chance
that that's still is present for Jermaine Burton. You forget
how high he was drafted because of all the issues
in year one, Yet he's still on the roster and
by all reports he's he's been in the building, he's
been putting the work in. Do you have any expectation
that you've set is how Jermaine Burton is used on

(01:00:01):
this roster.

Speaker 9 (01:00:03):
Yeah, I want to see him on the field first.
But to your point, it was the Thursday night they
opened up the cafeteria to us to eat on Thursday, Friday, Saturday,
which is very nice because it's it's busy time and
I'm in the line getting getting I think it was
at the salad bar and I look up and it
was Jermaine Burton and I went, oh, I said, hey man,
how you doing. He was good, and he's actually not
real talkative, but talkative enough and he looked good. And

(01:00:24):
I just wonder whatever help he needed, did he get it,
because he just and he was there again. We saw
him on Saturday morning. We were there, you know, draft
starts at new We went in there like eleven to
grab something to eat, and he was in there then.
And so it's it. I'm going to give the kid
a chance for a fresh start. He's been he's been
in the open locker room. No one's ventured up to

(01:00:46):
talk to him yet, but he's been present. He's been there.
Part of me thinks he's living there.

Speaker 7 (01:00:51):
I mean, I'm serious.

Speaker 9 (01:00:52):
It was just the same draft weekend, just pop in there.
I mean, nobody else was there that Yeah, I know
somebody else talked to him and said, you know, I
think asked him the question, what are you doing here?
He said, I'm trying to stay in the routine. And
I think that's a good thing. I mean, obviously, if
he thinks the routine is being in the facility, working out, eating, right,
all of those things, getting into a routine that that

(01:01:14):
can't do anything but help him, and he will be
a fascinating reclamation project if it comes to it. Because
I think I'm with everybody else after all the knuckleheadedness
of last year and the knuckleheadedness off the field of
get rid of this guy. I think they've chosen to
try to find a way to make it work. And
he's not gonna get much leash, right, I mean, the
leash is gonna be really, really short, but they're going
to try and think to make it work.

Speaker 7 (01:01:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:34):
I mean the sternness of the words of Duke Tobin
at the combine. You don't really get that kind of
stuff out of Duke.

Speaker 10 (01:01:40):
Oh, that's right.

Speaker 9 (01:01:41):
No, Yeah, that was That was an interesting cut. That
was when we were talking to him off the side
and the question was brought about it, it was that was yeah,
you're right, that was almost startling to some degree.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Yeah, skinny, before we let you go. Obviously, the majority
of the free agency season has passed, the draft has passed.
How do you how do you view where this team stay?
We always talk about, you know, a competitive versus contending team.
Now that you've seen the new coaching staff, the free
agency period, the draft, where do you view as this

(01:02:11):
team being as it relates to to next.

Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
Season, very much a contending team.

Speaker 9 (01:02:17):
But then you watch the draft and look at what
Buffalo did, and what Kansas City did and what Baltimore did.
They certainly don't look like they hurt themselves by any
stretch of the imagination. And they still got, you know,
three of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. So I
still think contending team. But man, the ASC right now
is just a gauntlet.

Speaker 3 (01:02:35):
Yeah, Skinny, you're the best man. What's the easiest way
to follow along with everything you got going on in
the off season?

Speaker 9 (01:02:41):
Yep head Thelocal twelve dot com slash sports war hit
me up on the ex at Local twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
Skinny Richard, thank you for your time. We'll talk again soon.

Speaker 7 (01:02:48):
Thanks, Skinny.

Speaker 9 (01:02:49):
H Right, thank you, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:02:50):
Sticker Richard Skinner Local twelve. I mean that was rapid fire.
We threw a bunch of Skinny there.

Speaker 7 (01:02:56):
Love that guy.

Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
He's ready to go.

Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
He was Walls Snopp looking affirm between the confirmed the
best kept secret in all of Cincinnati sports that James
Repene is insufferable on draft weekend, could you imagine being
stuck in a media workroom with James for three days?

Speaker 3 (01:03:15):
Coodn't during the draft? Better men than me? Your talkback's next.
Thanks to Cincy Shirts, our number two sincey three to
sixty on the Home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Now you're on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 17 (01:03:33):
Suppressed the microphone. Record your message us then and down.
Please keep it clean and don't mean a sprinkles red.

Speaker 11 (01:03:46):
Owlish that temple to be.

Speaker 17 (01:03:49):
It's our favorite parts and sory three six days.

Speaker 18 (01:03:59):
Come on, come on, come on then, baby Bisy Freeman
here and listen. Let's inn to beg right now and
say what about one hundred Austins versus one gorilla.

Speaker 19 (01:04:14):
He's got the attitude, he's got the girl. Hell, I
think one Austin by himself might be able to take
down a gorilla. Anybody who's got the HBO tune in
to us the finale of Changes this weekend. That's the
Jesus and Austin. Don't be besmaersion it. I know you
don't watch no TV, especially no HBO. That's sacer it
is potentially to any of those stakes candles from the city.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
That is uh. That is a you don't you don't
understand that uh. That is a that is a righteous
Gemstones reference. And that is the great Walton Goggins also
known as uh Baby Billy Freeman on the show.

Speaker 4 (01:04:50):
He's the cat that's also in White Lotus right as Goggins.

Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Yeah, he's on fire.

Speaker 7 (01:04:55):
Right.

Speaker 4 (01:04:55):
Do you like that show at the White Lotus?

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
I watched the first two seasons. Yeah, but I got
so tired of it because it's just a build up
to nothing happened. They drag you along, They drag you
and drag you and drag you in so many different directions.
That's the point. I hate it. That's the point. Just
get to the point.

Speaker 3 (01:05:14):
I'm a fan Tony Austin.

Speaker 20 (01:05:16):
It's your boy, mere mortal.

Speaker 7 (01:05:18):
You know.

Speaker 20 (01:05:19):
I'm just calling in about the debate of one hundred
people versus you know.

Speaker 7 (01:05:23):
One gorilla.

Speaker 20 (01:05:23):
Yeah, honestly, I think he can be done with seven
people in their prime.

Speaker 3 (01:05:28):
I'll name them right here.

Speaker 20 (01:05:30):
Number one Eddie Hall, I mean that dude's enormous. Number
two the Florida Gators player Desen Watson. That guy's literally
bigger than a gorilla. Ye big show, Mike Tyson, Shaquillea
o' neil, Ray Lewis, and Brian Bosworth.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
Okay, interesting, that's an interesting list.

Speaker 10 (01:05:47):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:05:48):
Eddie Hall is like the strongest man in the world.

Speaker 4 (01:05:50):
You have size and strength on that list, but I
don't know about speed or brains, but the fearlessness of
Mike Tyson.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Mikem just going there and he can wear potentially. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:06:02):
I don't know who Eddie Hall is.

Speaker 3 (01:06:04):
He is a He's known as like one of the
strongest men in the world.

Speaker 4 (01:06:09):
Did you see the Buccaneers sign that dude from Florida
that's like four hundred and seventy four pounds.

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
How about that that you want to stop the toush
push exactly and that guy.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
To go back to the first talk back. If there
were one hundred meters against one gorilla, yeah, I would
take the gorilla. Okay, at least you're honest.

Speaker 21 (01:06:25):
Could we please lower the temperature? Talk packers are going
after each other, calling each other idiots, Seth and Simms
Township going after Evan and Evendale. I don't like it.
This is what happens when you have a D minus
bangles draft. Let's pump the brakes, lower the temperature. Okay,

(01:06:45):
one hundred sorority sisters, not all of them white, very
diverse group versus one pissed off hippopotamus.

Speaker 3 (01:06:53):
Who you got, oh man, hippo was taking a hippo down.
Hippos might be worse.

Speaker 7 (01:06:58):
Than it is.

Speaker 4 (01:06:59):
That's what I was about to say. Hippopotamus is a nasty, mean,
powerful animal. You don't have the size, speed, athleticism. We're
talking about my draft picks to compete with a hippopotamus
first rounder? No chance first rounder.

Speaker 22 (01:07:14):
It's God from your residence in the sky. Yeah, Eddie Zelick,
that impersonation is spot on. I love it. We need more,
Eddie Zelick. I'll luck and know more.

Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
You know, I miss when God used to do the
Doug Gottlieb impersonation.

Speaker 9 (01:07:36):
Too.

Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
He reminds me a little bit of Doug Gottlieb. And
I don't even know what this guy looks like.

Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
Guys, what's up a coach?

Speaker 18 (01:07:47):
You're having trouble understanding?

Speaker 4 (01:07:50):
Drinkuilized and yeah, I figured that out.

Speaker 12 (01:07:54):
Mass what the Atlanta Falcons are now because they messed
with my son.

Speaker 16 (01:08:00):
Guess what what's coming?

Speaker 12 (01:08:02):
Oh, he's coming Cincinnati, He's coming to Pittsburgh and Baltimore,
Yeah and all areas in between.

Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
He's coming. Coach Brown saw videos the door already in
Cleveland training on a hill.

Speaker 4 (01:08:15):
That was the worst workout video ever.

Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Sign. No, the dance workout video was worse.

Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Well, that's true. If you want to have some fun,
go look up Walter Payton running Hills and then look
up the Shadoor Sanders video and you will see the
difference between an all time great player in person and
Shodoor Sanders.

Speaker 22 (01:08:36):
Doug Gottlieb with Sports Radio, I didn't even know that
was dot Com studios with me today. I have Tony
Pike and Austin Elmer Elmer since the three sixty fifteen thirty. Yeah,
so Tony and Austin give me your grade on the
Bengals draft this year.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
See, I don't do that. Uh see, I guess you.

Speaker 6 (01:09:00):
Ever.

Speaker 4 (01:09:01):
You know what's always funny is the amount of people
that will get like the station name and number and
the show name and number mixed up.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:09:09):
You ever hear people call it? You guys are on
Uh since he fifteen thirty all the time or ESPN
three sixty. I hear that constantly. It's pretty funny. Also,
somebody over the weekend spelled my name on Twitter A
U D D I E oohl Audi. Where do you like?
How do you even get to that? My name is misspelled?

(01:09:32):
A lot and I understand Audi is not common, and
most people call me Audi. I spell it all the time,
confused by it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
Oh, we'll uneven start to the show. That's okay. I've
had uneven first sixty years. I know it can be
scary when things are remming in between your ears.

Speaker 7 (01:09:52):
Preach m A.

Speaker 3 (01:09:54):
R s U P I A L marsupial.

Speaker 7 (01:09:58):
Yeah, man, I.

Speaker 5 (01:09:59):
Had something pl to say. I can't remember what it was.
We'll be here, We'll just shot. I have a good afternoon.

Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Everything you say is important. True. The hundred men beat
a gorilla.

Speaker 23 (01:10:11):
Yeah, that's only if the florists Mark Lines set men
up on how to beat the gorilla. And Uh, with
all his absurd contradiction takes, I think the only flowers
Mark has gotten recently are from slick Willy.

Speaker 7 (01:10:24):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:10:30):
Man, Okay, that's pretty good.

Speaker 4 (01:10:34):
Hey, that's pretty good. I can't believe we didn't call
Mark the florists this morning.

Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
The first segment, well, he threw me off because he
just went normal. He talked about the Bengals. He didn't
even mention anything from yesterday. He didn't have anything to
complain about from yesterday.

Speaker 16 (01:10:51):
Happy Wednesday, Ton and Audi hoping that in red lace
can get both of them double header games today and tomorrow.
It's gonna be kind of special for me taking always
down to my dad to see the Business Day special.
He's gonna be my youngest first Reds game. So maybe
hopefully we can get a baseball for both of them.
Take care of Abody, go red Legs.

Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
And who they enjoy that that first time? Enjoy that,
that's awesome.

Speaker 22 (01:11:15):
Don't be hating on Evan. From Evandale, who did you
should be on the mount rushmore of talkbackers. So what
if he's a little slow and not playing with the
full deck? I got your back and from Evandale, truly.

Speaker 4 (01:11:32):
God, wow, I'm playing with a full deck. We got
a few of those.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Yep.

Speaker 12 (01:11:40):
In Carnacion string got an epidural second when he was pregnant.

Speaker 4 (01:11:45):
Uh huh, funny funny.

Speaker 24 (01:11:46):
Man fileus hank you here. Bo, I'm gonna tell you
why I don't have much today, just shouting out the
talkbox Cowboy for having me and his starting lineup, and fella,
I got that missing piece for you. And well that's
you talks about talk Box Cowboy because well, hey, you're
a favorite of mine too, And well let's get this

(01:12:08):
double header today and let's get the sweep tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (01:12:11):
Go rats, All right, double dip potato.

Speaker 24 (01:12:15):
Well, I guess I do have a little bit more
something I was thinking about. Somebody's got to be a
pile and just take Chad Brindle's Twitter bikes away for
a little while. Friend, it's just not worth it, man,
Just leave it alone.

Speaker 4 (01:12:30):
My favorite thing is Chad tries to justify his behavior
on his account, just like I don't know he tries.

Speaker 1 (01:12:38):
Oh, Patrick, Patrick start sorry to all the people in
Georgia who who found my kangaroo. I went out to
get a whopper with sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
Oh again, thanks Pat, You know what, you saw an
opportunity and you took it. Well done, Patrick.

Speaker 6 (01:13:09):
All right, here's my brilliant idea. Let's make the Memorial
Day basketball tournament at Reading since the three sixty extravaganza. Well, now,
let's have the referees be Mark and uh, let's have Jeff.
They can be the refs. I'll do play by play
and then I'll have Slick Willie as my color commentary.

Speaker 3 (01:13:30):
That'll be fun.

Speaker 6 (01:13:31):
Color is green. And then like, think of other positions.
One other positions could talk backers have to help out
with the tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:13:38):
Now, listen, this is a sanction tournament. You don't just
get to come in and say you're officiating. Now, if
you want to come down, all are welcome mccaning Park
to see an opportunity at a repeat. But I mean,
I can't hijack the thing with the utmost respect. I
don't want to spend my Memorial Day. Well, you've had
a park watching you guys a festival. First of all,

(01:14:00):
I don't want it. There's other things that happen in ant.
Hang out with my friend's family. That's where people go
to here.

Speaker 19 (01:14:09):
Hey, Spongeball, have you seen my pet kangaroo?

Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
I named him jamer Well?

Speaker 14 (01:14:16):
No, Patrick, but why did you name him jamer Well?

Speaker 9 (01:14:20):
He's always stealing money from me and getting lost.

Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
But don't worry, I'll find him. He's usually just setting
on a bench somewhere.

Speaker 7 (01:14:29):
Well, okay, Pat, Well, good luck, all right, points for
the effort there.

Speaker 13 (01:14:35):
Yep, Hello, this is former President Ronald Regan and wail Ottie.
I know how much you can't stand the city of Cleveland.
So I bet you just loved seeing the Browns draft
Shadoor Sanders. If only for the potential chaos, it could cause.
Just imagine the first time their quarterback struggles and then
here's the fans chanting for Shador. Scene goes for head

(01:14:57):
coach Stefanski. If the Browns get off to a slow
he'll have Dion looming in the minds of all the falls.

Speaker 4 (01:15:04):
Can you imagine? Can you imagine Jimmy HASLM would do
it too. You watch Jimmy Haslam would do it. That's
the unfortunate part.

Speaker 7 (01:15:13):
Hey, guys, how you doing.

Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Hi want to get your opinion on Cam Sample's stance
in the defensive line this year. Let me know your
thoughts on him.

Speaker 7 (01:15:23):
Happy Day.

Speaker 4 (01:15:24):
Yeah, if you've listened to this show for a while,
you know that I'm big on Cam Sample, specifically as
a run defender. I do think they'll move him inside
a little bit and he'll be a part of that rotation.
But they signed two of those defensive tackles, Howard Cross,
Eric Gregory, has undrafted free agents. They have a chance
to make the team. Cam Sample coming off an injury.
Never know exactly what he's going to be, but I'm
a fan and I think they'll use it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:44):
He'll be part of the conversation. We have an hour three.
But does Cam sample get time over Shamar Stewart on
the inside.

Speaker 7 (01:15:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
Probably actually no, I mean he will.

Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
BJ Hill, Chris Jenkins, TJ Slaton, McKinley, Jackson as Schamar
playing over any of them? Or is that Campbell sight
playing over any of them?

Speaker 7 (01:16:02):
Maybe just depends.

Speaker 23 (01:16:03):
Probably not, as someone who's had multiple epidurals in his
lower back is not really a joking matter.

Speaker 7 (01:16:10):
Just hurry up and get well, that's all there you go.

Speaker 3 (01:16:13):
Yeah, I just I I worry at the fact that
you know, he had the first and it's not obviously
improving enough that he has to get the second. I
don't consider that a good sign.

Speaker 4 (01:16:23):
Back injuries are no joke, no joke.

Speaker 25 (01:16:27):
Hey, hey town, I'm just a guy leaving a talkback
that's the guy. A jack heard some bickering between talkbackers,
so I thought I'd take a second to share the
love how he does it. But it seems like every
time loud talkback guy gets on this radio, I smile.
So I appreciate that, dude. Keep the takes coming. Loud
talkback guy.

Speaker 7 (01:16:47):
Well said, I agree wholeheartedly. He's one on one.

Speaker 15 (01:16:53):
Tony.

Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
Yeah, male, man, what's.

Speaker 7 (01:16:56):
Out of hero?

Speaker 6 (01:16:57):
What looks to be gorgeous.

Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
What a day of the week.

Speaker 7 (01:17:01):
What a day.

Speaker 15 (01:17:01):
Hey, hopefully their relays in judio double diff and take
care of business and you boys have another best day ever.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
Thank you. This is easily the best day of the week.
Karl Malian at the Lone shooting too too. All right,
that was our last very good. A break is in order.
We'll update you on what's going on at the ballpark.

Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
We'll do one segment when we get back.

Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
All right, that's next. Cincy three sixty, ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station. Thanks to Cincy Shirts Bols.

Speaker 2 (01:17:34):
Cincy three sixty continues on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 3 (01:17:44):
Welcome back since he three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station and a service of our good friends at
Cincy Shirts. A couple of things we can get to here.
We got some time before we get to our number three.
From a Cincinnati Red standpoint, they are through the top
of the fifth. Brady Singer has been good. He has

(01:18:06):
thrown just seventy pitches. He's allowed two hits, struck out
three walk too. He did allow a Mason Win home run.
That is the only run currently of the game for
the Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (01:18:19):
Reds defense playing good. Behind him again, defense playing good.

Speaker 3 (01:18:21):
TJ. Friedel just had a nice play to end the fifth.
The problem is Red's only one hit on the day.
What were you saying about this pitcher for Saint Louis?

Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
Well, you know, I have some friends with the Cardinal
fans and they keep saying Miles Michaelis is washed.

Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
He doesn't look like it. Today's the case today? Pretty good.
He's been dealing today. The only blemishes has been a
lie de la Cruze single and then an Ellie walk
in which he stole second. He was actually hit hit
by a pitch. Yeah. I don't want to keep doing it,
but it is worth noting from a lineup standpoint. Today

(01:18:58):
Matt McLean is over two again, and in those two
at bats he has struck out. He's one of only
two players to strike out the day. Jose Travino, I
just I worry because there's two types of play here
at play Austin. One is the play of Spencer Steer
when it was last year and he wasn't about in

(01:19:20):
a high level, but you could see he was just
unlucky at times. The Matt McLain strikeouts would lead you
to believe that he's not seen the ball correctly. And
I'm not saying that he needs to be benched, but
at some point we've obviously established the importance of the

(01:19:41):
two hole in the lineup because we've talked about do
you potentially ever move Ellie up? I mean Noaba Marte
has hit two balls on the warning track today. He's
obviously seeing the ball extremely well. And I know there's
probably not a ton of options in this lineup that
have done it consistently. Would you look at swapping anyone
in the two for Matt McLean or even just bumping

(01:20:02):
guys up. Ellie bumps up to two lucks to three,
Marte up and so on until you see somewhere to
slide Matt McClean, or you're just gonna ride it out
with McLean in the two hole until you can anymore.

Speaker 7 (01:20:14):
Yeah, I would. I would move him out of it.
I would change it up.

Speaker 4 (01:20:18):
And I kind of have faith that Terry's gonna do that,
because you know he has full He's done it with others. Yeah,
we've seen him like he understands it. Like other people
in the past, David Bell and others have felt like
maybe they were a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:20:30):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:20:32):
I don't know bullish or stubborn about that sort of thing.
I don't think Terry Francon is like that. And I
don't know what the sample size is he needs to see,
but hopefully he's not stubborn about this because Matt McLean's
hurting the team.

Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Yeah. And again, like we've talked what McLean has done
since he's been a Red, and I think there are
still folks, even in Struggling that say, if you got
three guys and you get to throw up there in
aning where you've got to get something done. I still
think for a lot of people, Matt McClain is going
to make that list, but is currently constructed. As you mentioned,

(01:21:11):
how much are you hurting the team now by keeping
him there? And how much is it hurting Matt McClain.
I can't imagine that the confidence is high when he
strolls to the plate right now. So moving him down,
maybe it takes some pressure off, Maybe it gets you
a reset. Maybe it just gives him an opportunity to

(01:21:34):
see different pitches or be approached in a different way.
I mean, I'm sure that hitting in front of Elie
daily Cruz, you're going to be pitched too, very differently
than if you're maybe seven to eight in the lineup.
So I do think that is worth at least revisiting
based on how the rest of this game is played.
When you start to look at the roster and the

(01:21:55):
lineup construction in Game two, which will be Game two
that's played tonight with Chase Petty making his debut. I
did see one other thing that I wanted to note
around the Cincinnati Reds, and then we'll move on the
trade acquisitions that the Reds have made. This is not
new knowledge to anyone, but Brady Singer going into today,
had had five starts, one four of them ERA under four.

(01:22:18):
He's now thrown five innings of two hit baseball and
allowed one run. He's been phenomenal. Gavin Lux went into
today at three point fifty two. That number has dipped
to three forty four, but he went in to today
as the leading hitter in the NL from an average standpoint,
and obviously Jose Travigno entered hitting three twenty three. We

(01:22:38):
talk a lot about what the Reds do or don't
do from a an off season standpoint, but as much
as we do criticize or question where the spending goes.
It does seem like early returns on those three have
been very positive, especially when you see what Jonathan India
has done and made that way. So that's from from

(01:23:00):
a red standpoint. May ask you an NFL question if
I had to ask you right now, Austin, who is
the most bet team from a sportsbook standpoint to win
the Super Bowl over the last twenty four hours. This
is obviously since the free agency period and the draft
period has ended. Not the favorite to win the super Bowl,
but who is receiving the most bets to win the

(01:23:20):
Super Bowl? Who would your guest be?

Speaker 4 (01:23:22):
The team I mentioned earlier, the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
Correct plus thirty six hundred. It's hard to find anything
about the Bears to dislike in the offseason, right They
were ultra uber aggressive in the free agency period, and
I think to many and I don't know every free agent,

(01:23:45):
but they addressed the trenches right the O and D line.
They wanted to make that make sure that was shirt up.
For what it's worth. To tease this a little earlier,
Matt Miller gave his top one hundred draft picks steals
fits and out of all of those, Luther Burden The
third was number one wide receiver drafted by the Chicago Bears.

(01:24:10):
He joins rom Adonza, he joins Dj Moore as a
couple of really good options. The biggest question for the Bears,
in your opinion, is it still Caleb Williams. I don't
think many questions. Ben Johnson. I don't think many questions.
What they've done on the defensive side of the ball
is your biggest question, Caleb Williams. For the Bears, it's.

Speaker 4 (01:24:33):
Kayleb Williams and obviously what the offense looks like with
Ben Johnson, because the Bears have won the offseason for
like three years in a row and it's not resulted
in anything. So it's basically just what can you actually do?
How can you actually take the next step for the Bears?
And that's not an easy division. I mean, there's questions

(01:24:55):
about the Vikings and how they're going to approach things
with their quarterback, and seems like they're putting a lot
of a lot on the plate of Kevin McConnell, Kevin
O'Connell to just turn JJ McCarthy into a starting quarterback.

Speaker 7 (01:25:09):
I don't know if that's that easy to do.

Speaker 4 (01:25:12):
And then Obviously Green Bay is really really talented and
has been reloading on their offense, and now they might
actually be able to find a way to keep Jayir Alexander.
That was a report that came out yesterday in Detroit
is right there in the conversation with the contenders in
the NFC. So they got to compete in their division.
And you know the other thing about Detroit, what do

(01:25:32):
they look like post Ben Johnson? What does that offense
look like? Do they take a back and without Aaron
Glenn who's now the head coach of the New York Jets.
So yeah, that I think maybe there's there's gonna be
a step back for Detroit, and maybe that's where Chicago
can steal a couple and maybe knowing Dan Campbell and
the Lions as well as they do, maybe the Bears

(01:25:54):
can knock off the Lions in a few different games.

Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
Some other notables on Matt Miller's Top one hundred Jehad Campbell.
Jehadd Campbell went thirty first overall. Matt Miller had him
as the fifteenth overall prospect. Jalen Walker fell to number fifteen.
He was Matt Miller's number five overall prospect I saw
earlier Austin. It was I believe Adam Schefter was talking,

(01:26:20):
or maybe it might have been Ian Rappaport, one of
the two, was talking about all of the calls that
teams in the first round were receiving until the Bears
took Colston Loveland. Did you hear that report?

Speaker 7 (01:26:33):
No, say it again?

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
So it was Ian Rappaport was talking about the early
first round of the draft and how teams around eight, nine, ten,
and eleven were making multiple calls to try to trade
up into the draft for a player, and Ian Rappaport said,
when the Bears took Loveland at number ten, all of
those calls stopped, which would make me assume that all

(01:26:57):
of those calls were to go up and get Colston Loveland, who,
by the way, the Bears drafted. So you want to
talk about a great draft. According to Matt Miller, two
of the best seven picks belong to the Chicago Bears.

Speaker 4 (01:27:11):
Also saw that Nick Chubb is supposed to be working
out with the Bears soon.

Speaker 3 (01:27:16):
Malachi Starks was number nine on the list. Shador Sanders,
for what it's worth, was number ten according to Matt
Miller as well, a guy that you were very high
on Austin. We talked about a lot leading into the draft.
Devin Ezeraku landed at number fourteen on that list. For
Matt Miller, he was taken as the number forty fourth
overall pick in the draft. The edge rusher out of

(01:27:40):
Boston College. Trying to find if there's any other ones
of note, cam Ward was ranked number twenty according to
Matt Miller. Mason Graham twenty three for the Cleveland Browns.
Tyler Booker fell to well, didn't fall. The Cowboys went
and got him at pick number twelve. Was ranked number
twenty on that list. So a couple of the uh

(01:28:05):
maybe surprises, but rankings from a steel standpoint, Matt Miller
said this of Shamar Stewart. Stewart starred in the pre
draft process, acing the combine and showing his explosive ability
and testing. The Bengals were intrigued enough to make a
small reach in terms of value, but Stuart's upside is
as high as any player in the draft. If he

(01:28:25):
can turn the testing numbers into production on a Cincinnati
defense that is seeking help, he will become a steal
at number twenty seven. I have one final question on
the draft that I'll ask you, if the pick before
the Bengals doesn't happen to be Walter Nolan, do you

(01:28:46):
think the Bengals take Walter Nolan or Shamar Stewart.

Speaker 4 (01:28:51):
I would guess they would have taken Nolan, but.

Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
They were obviously high on enough of or they were
high on both of them enough that they felt fine
in going with Schamar Stewart. But I would be interested
to know, and again those are things we'll never know,
but I would be interested to know what that would
look like, or what that had looked like if Walter
Nowen was available at seventeen. For now, let's take our

(01:29:19):
final break of the second hour. When we come back,
a position by position outlook here for the Cincinnati Bengals,
including some free agents available and some comments that Mike Pott's,
the director of scouting made as it relates to the
Cincinnati Bengals. We've got buy cell hold, we've got some
conspiracy theories, and we've got Mowagger all lined up in
our number three just ahead Sincy three to sixty thanks

(01:29:41):

Speaker 2 (01:30:00):
This is ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 3 (01:30:06):
Welcome back to our three since he three to sixty
thanks to Penn Station. Before we dive into some Cincinnati
Bengals here, do you want to dive into this statement
from Bill Belichick?

Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
I mean we can, we can if you'd like.

Speaker 3 (01:30:20):
You mentioned over the break that we've got a statement
from Bill Belichick.

Speaker 4 (01:30:23):
Yeah, So if you've been living under a rock and
maybe you've been caught up in the gorilla versus one
hundred men conversation. There was an interview that Bill Belichick
did with CBS Sunday Morning last weekend promoting his new
book called The Art of Winning Lessons from My Life
in Football, and clip surface from the interview of Bill

(01:30:47):
Belichick repeatedly being interrupted or talked over Jordan Hudson, his girlfriend.
It was weird, forty nine years his juniors repeatedly, you know,
kind of interrupted the conversation. And so all these clips
come out now everyone all of a sudden's concerned, and

(01:31:08):
we said it yesterday on Quick Kits with MO. Previously
we didn't really care, and now we're all interested because
this seems like strange behavior. And most notably, the conversation
centered around the reporter asking Bill Belichick how he deals
with all the attention around his new relationship. Bill said

(01:31:30):
he never really cared what people think. And then he
was asked, how did you guys meet? And that's when
she interrupted and said, we're not talking about so after
all the speculation and viral virality, I guess you could
maybe I made that up around this interview. Today, Bill
Belichick and North Carolina have released a statement, are you

(01:31:54):
ready for this?

Speaker 3 (01:31:55):
Please?

Speaker 4 (01:31:56):
I agreed to speak with CBS Sunday morning to promote
my new book. Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated
with my publicist at Simon and Schuster that any promotional
interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on
the contents of the book. Now, it is also important

(01:32:17):
to know interrupting here like Jordan Hudson, that nobody from
the published, the promotion, or the publisher, none of them
were there at this interview.

Speaker 7 (01:32:26):
Right. It's kind of strange unique.

Speaker 4 (01:32:28):
Unfortunately, Bill says that expectation was not honored during the interview.
I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I
repeatedly expressed to the reporter Tony de Koople, I don't
know if I'm saying that right, and the producers that
I prefer to keep the conversation centered on the book.
After this occurred several times, Jordan, with whom I share

(01:32:51):
both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate
that point to help refocus the discussion. She was not
deflecting any specific question or topic, but simply doing her
job to ensure the interview stayed on track. Some of
the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding
the question of how we met, but we have been

(01:33:13):
open about the fact that Jordan and I met on
a flight to Palm Beach in twenty twenty one. The
final eight minute segment does not reflect the productive thirty
five minute conversation we had, which covered a wide range
of topics related to my career. Instead, it presents selectively
edited clips and stills from just a few minutes of

(01:33:36):
the interview to suggest a false narrative that Jordan was
attempting to control the conversation, which is simply not true.
That is Bill Belichick's statement on the matter. Okay, I
don't know that anybody cares, but it is at least
noteworthy considering the virality of the clip and interview. Okay,

(01:34:02):
and also there's not much else going on the word correct.

Speaker 16 (01:34:06):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:34:07):
It has been made a point enough though that Moager
has had to step in here. Did you see that
Moe has added to his block list on Twitter?

Speaker 4 (01:34:16):
As I did see that.

Speaker 3 (01:34:17):
Yeah. Now, if you don't follow a long at Moe's
never going to see this statement. Nope, you could follow this,
but at Mowagar. He tweeted this out today. These are
his following muted words. Ruin college football, ruin college basketball,
Nevada game, which I agree that should never be brought up, Mattress,
Mac Kanye elon Musk, Bengals cash problem, and Belichick girlfriend.

(01:34:42):
Those are the muted words of one Maurice Ager.

Speaker 4 (01:34:45):
Do you have any words muted? I don't think so. Okay,
I really don't think I do. I'm trying to see
if I have see what my muted words are. Oh,
some of these I can't say on the age, Oh
because I don't want to see them because there's this
like a have you heard of the burner verse? There

(01:35:07):
are these like college kids that have burners that they
just say terrible things, and I don't like their tweets.
I don't seek out their tweets, but their tweets pop
up and they often say terrible things. So I have
mute the words from those. Antonio Brown is muted online.
Michael Rapaport, I hate him. Those are just a couple.

(01:35:30):
The others are just bad words that I don't want
on my TIMELINEA fair Also, I notice your way looking
at this.

Speaker 7 (01:35:38):
I have.

Speaker 4 (01:35:39):
This is pretty amazing. Muted accounts, over six hundred muted accounts.
Oh how about that, you've muted six hundred accounts over
six hundred. Yeah, that's insane. Yeah, my goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:35:55):
Real quick, let's let's do this for the Bengals, because
obviously the draft has come and gone, and we're in
a place now where you have a pretty good understanding
of where the roster currently sits. And again, I think
you can make arguments of maybe where they need to

(01:36:16):
get better. You can make arguments of maybe where they
need help or where they're set. The director of scouting
Mike Potts for the Cincinnati Bengals. Recently, Austin went on
to the Bengals Booth podcast with Dan Hord and he

(01:36:37):
made a couple of different statements, and I want to
get your reaction on these. First, he said that the
Bengals had multiple opportunities to trade back in the draft
but chose not to do so. Is that surprising to you? Yes,
I'm surprised by it because it feels like some of
the picks were reaches and that they could have moved
back and still got the same players. That's not the case.

(01:36:58):
They drafted six. That was one of his statements.

Speaker 4 (01:37:00):
The other and to just piggyback on that, Duke Tobin
said he wants more picks and like basically saying I
want to trade in the draft, and right.

Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
The other in this is that Mike Pott says they
will continue to monitor safety and defensive tackle positions leading
up to camp, but it feels like they're happy at guard.
Does that surprise you? No, you think they're set in
their opinion at guard, but they will look for maybe

(01:37:34):
any upgrades at safety or detackle. Yeah, you agree with
both of those.

Speaker 4 (01:37:38):
Yeah, I never expect them to make another change at
guard that never seemed like a possibility. I mean, they
signed one in free agency and essentially drafted two of them.
They also re signed to Cody Ford, so I figured
it was all pretty much over at that point from
a guard perspective.

Speaker 3 (01:37:57):
Fair according to Joe Goodbarry, if they were to look
at the safety position, Justin Simmons, Julian Blackman, Marcus Williams,
Jordan Whitehead are all names that are still out there.
We've mentioned before. It it feels like Justin Simmons could
be one of those players that is deemed as a

(01:38:19):
as an upgrade at safety for the Cincinnati Bengals. Would
you have any problem or pushback on adding a safety
to this roster? No, not at all. Is that the
most pressing need.

Speaker 4 (01:38:34):
I guess so. Yeah, at this point, probably.

Speaker 3 (01:38:39):
That in d tackle because they're going to both monitor them.
There are defensive tackles still available. Rakwon Davis, de Marcus
Walker On, Trevius Adams, Maurice Hurst are all. Mow Hurst,
Moe Hurst are all interior defensive linemen that are still available.
So it's not like the free agent market is completely
dried up. And we talked about this going into the
draft that you know, in the weeks leading up to

(01:39:01):
the draft, you see a decrease in free agent signings
because a lot of teams are just gonna wait till
they get through the draft, and free agents as well
are gonna wait and say, Okay, now here's my value
to these certain teams that still have holes in those positions.
Those would seem to be the two positions of need
for the Cincinnati Bengals and where the free agent market

(01:39:22):
currently sits if you are if you were interested, Brandon Sheriff,
Will Hernandez, Dalton Reisner, Shaq Mason, Jedrick Willis or Wills
are still guards available according to Joe Goodberry, but it
does feel like the Bengals are good with where they
sit at guard.

Speaker 4 (01:39:40):
I heard a funny story about Jed Wills, the former
Cleveland Brown. Sure, you know, they brought him in and
they had Joe Thomas working with him to kind of
be the mentor. Yeah, and he asked to where Joe
Thomas's number seventy three? And Joe kind of like you

(01:40:00):
felt bad, like I don't want to give this guy right?

Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
What do you do at that point?

Speaker 4 (01:40:04):
And thankfully, Kevin Stefanski stepped in and is like, all right, man,
hold on, you're gonna have to earn that sure, and
we're not gonna this guy's a Hall of Famer, he's
the best Cleveland Brown maybe ever not named Jim Brown.
We're not going to do that and to completely derail
your topic there. Way we can get to this in
a little bit. But, uh, do you see a Abduall

(01:40:25):
Carter asked to wear number fifty six and Lawrence Taylor
was like no.

Speaker 3 (01:40:29):
Yeah, Lawrence Taylor's like no, maybe now there's plenty of
other numbers on that roster, whereas war Moon was like, yeah,
I want you to wear number one.

Speaker 4 (01:40:35):
Yeah, that was kind of different the press conference. Yeah,
all right, sorry back to what you were saying.

Speaker 3 (01:40:41):
No, no, that was that was kind of the end
of my point from a position by position breakdown of
kind of where the the Cincinnati Bengals stand. Look, look
the corner depth chart as it currently sits. Cam Taylor,
Britt Dack Sail, DJ Turner, Josh Newton, DJ Ivy, Marco Wilson, Uh,
Mika Abraham, Nate Brooks.

Speaker 4 (01:41:01):
I know everyone seems kind of worried about that position.
I don't, I mean DJ Ivy is still coming off
of an injury, you know, and recovering from that. Doubts
about Newton and Turner and you know, Skinny I think
did a good job outlining if they don't really know
who DJ Turner is or what DJ Turner is yet.
And I saw somebody make the point too that there

(01:41:23):
are like one injury in that room away from it
feeling really thin. So I do think they should explore.
But I also think that is a very high upside room.
And Cam Taylor Britt I think might stand to benefit
the most from Al Golden because it just felt like
he was so confused and not confident and didn't really

(01:41:47):
know what he was supposed to be doing. At times
last year he looked distracted. We know he also was
a new father at that point last season, which is
has an effect on people for sure. Now he's got
to focus up in a contract year. And we've seen
this a lot where guys show up and play entirely

(01:42:09):
differently in their contract Yes, and I wonder if that's
something that could be really helpful to Cam Taylor Britt
say all right, focus, this is what I need to do.
There's a lot of money at stake. Here, I'm competing
with DJ and Dax and all these guys, and the
system is different and is going to be more beneficial
to me. I've got to make the most on that,

(01:42:29):
just from a mental standpoint.

Speaker 3 (01:42:31):
Yeah, if that happens, if you're.

Speaker 4 (01:42:33):
More relaxed and comfortable about your role off the field
and being a father, and more comfortable in the scheme
and what that means to you for you professionally and
the focus of all that that's coming on your way
and the importance of it, that can help somebody to
really lock inep. And maybe it means he goes somewhere
else next year. That's a next year problem. This year

(01:42:56):
if they can improve to like I said earlier twentieth
in the Enna fell I mean, shoot, man, you have
a chance, not kidding at a number two seed with
how good the offense is supposed to be.

Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
The safety room Jordan Battle Genostone, Tyson Anderson is skinny
outlined with him de Jon Anthony, jalen Key and PJ.
Jewles like that. In reading that, now I can understand
why that room needs an upgrade.

Speaker 4 (01:43:23):
Yeah, So especially with Tyson Anderson never taking snack.

Speaker 3 (01:43:26):
Correct Outside of that, Demetrius Knight was drafted Orin Burks
was signed, Jermaine Pratt once out, Logan Wilson, Barrett Carter
was drafted, Muma Jong Meta, Shaka Heyward. Those are all
names that I think at this point you're okay with
where you are at linebacker.

Speaker 4 (01:43:44):
You know, that's that little number that Skinny dropped on
there about Logan Wilson. I didn't realize how often he's
actually been hurt and not played a full season, and
obviously coming off the injury he had last year. Yeah, yeah,
it might go to another peek into what the Bengals
were thinking at that position.

Speaker 3 (01:44:04):
Yeah, we can dive through the rest of kind of
where the current roster sits more tomorrow when we get back,
let's kind of tie this in. I know we've got
at least I've got some Bengal related reds related all sports.
Let's do some buy sell hold when we come back.
Let's do it our three since E three to sixty
thanks to Penn Station on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 9 (01:44:27):
Now your chance to win one thousand dollars enter this nation,
Wife Keward on our website.

Speaker 2 (01:44:32):
Grand that's grand answer it Nowty is back on ESPN
fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 5 (01:44:47):
Yeah sut as we la soutis we crib and I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:44:50):
You know, welcome back since e three to sixty baby,
thanks to Penn Station. ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
Quick update. Red still trail won nothing. Cardinals now threatening
a bit first and second with one out.

Speaker 4 (01:45:05):
You know I talked about Miles michael Is being washed.
Here's a stat for you. He's gotten right. He's just
completed his first back to back starts without allowing a
run since July of twenty twenty three. Now back to
back starts with at least five innings each since April
of twenty twenty two. So he really had been on
the struggle bus for the last couple of years. Yep,

(01:45:27):
And he got right again today against the old Red Legs.

Speaker 3 (01:45:31):
In the bottom of the sixth, Reds put the leadoff
hitter and Freedom on McLean hit a weak, lazy flyball
to center. On the next pitch, Ellie reached on an
infield single and then they failed to do anything with it.
With Gavin Lux and Noelve Marte failing to get a
run in. They still trail won nothing. Cardinals threatening a

(01:45:52):
little bit here in the seventh will keep you update
on that. But until then, how about some buy cell hold.

Speaker 11 (01:45:56):
It's time to play five self pulled?

Speaker 3 (01:46:00):
Since he now can I be honest about something? I
don't like the whole part of it. I'm more of
a by cell guy.

Speaker 11 (01:46:08):
It's time to play by self.

Speaker 3 (01:46:11):
There it is.

Speaker 4 (01:46:15):
Hold is part of the game.

Speaker 3 (01:46:16):
Yep, all right, you got to know when to hold him?
I guess Yeah, how did you break yours down into topics?
I've got a couple of Reds. I've got a couple Bengals.
I've got a couple Bearcats and Muskie and n f
C Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (01:46:27):
I've got four Bengals, three Reds, and three coaches.

Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
All right, let's just start with the Reds.

Speaker 7 (01:46:33):
Okay, I mean to go first?

Speaker 4 (01:46:35):
Or you want to h won't you go ahead and
go first?

Speaker 3 (01:46:37):
Buy Cell hold. Emilio Pagan should become the everyday closer.

Speaker 4 (01:46:40):
I'm buying that stock.

Speaker 3 (01:46:42):
Make it, make it happen right now. I know that
they've not committed, or they've been very noncommittal, and it's
kind of been bullpened by committee. But if you look
at what Amelio Pagan has done for this team, the
way he's handled these safe situations up to this point.
I'm fully on board. I'm in agreement. Emelio Pagan right

(01:47:03):
now should be the everyday closer for the Cincinnati Reds.

Speaker 7 (01:47:06):
Show me the money.

Speaker 4 (01:47:09):
For me, I'll go Bengals, Geno Stone, oh.

Speaker 3 (01:47:15):
Man, Geno Stone starting, or Geno Stone on the team.
Geno Stone as a Cincinnati Bengal. I'll buy oh only
because of the way he finished over the last like
five or six games. Now, the stat that Skinny through
out earlier about ranking one hundred and thirty six, that
doesn't help my argument at all. But I do know
that it's harder when you're in a setting and a

(01:47:39):
scheme and a personnel at safety and then you got
a switch. And so I'll say, Okay, he came on
better at the end of the year. I'm willing to
buy on the upside that he he showed when the
Bengals signed him last year. I'll buy that that they
can recoup some of that. I was high on him
last year. I'm going to hold at the moment because
the big reason the way his missed tackle percentage dropped

(01:48:05):
over the last five games. He played a lot more confident,
he was a lot better, and he was able to
make more consistent tackles. That completely saved, I think his
job and gave the Bengals enough confidence in him to
not address that position in the draft. So for that reason,
I'm gonna hold Gino Stone. I think we already discussed this,

(01:48:27):
but I'll throw it there as well. Buy sell, Hold
Matt McClain is your two hole hitter. I'm selling that
without a doubt. Selling it as a two hole hitter,
I'm selling immediately. I'll stick with the Reds. Noelvi Marte bye.

Speaker 4 (01:48:39):
Bye bye bye, bye, bye bye bye.

Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
He's oh for three today, but two of the balls
he hit I thought were both out of the park.

Speaker 4 (01:48:49):
And you know what, let me just take the moment
to apologize to Noelvi.

Speaker 3 (01:48:52):
Yeah, I think a lot of people should use because.

Speaker 4 (01:48:54):
I owe him one I said. I think the word
I used, not publicly but privately was bum and that's wrong,
and I apologize to the Weelvi Marte.

Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
Let me give you this one. Let me finish out
my Reds. Okay, Nick Martinez June first in the starting
rotation one month away, I'm gonna still holding a rotation spot.

Speaker 7 (01:49:16):
I'm going to.

Speaker 4 (01:49:19):
Buy that stock.

Speaker 3 (01:49:20):
Yes, based on the last two starts.

Speaker 4 (01:49:22):
Yeah, based off the last two, based off wherever they're
at with the other pitchers in the organization. Miley had
a set back. Rhet Louder still doesn't seem close. So
I'm gonna say bye. Okay, you're selling, and I think
that's the easy that's see.

Speaker 3 (01:49:37):
That's why I don't like hold because I feel like
that's just taking the easy way out. Well, there's there's
honesty about that, but I need to see one or
two more. All right, let me go to coaches. Okay,
oh boy, Bill Belichick, head coach North Carolina tar Heel football,
I have to sell.

Speaker 4 (01:49:53):
You're going to sell.

Speaker 3 (01:49:54):
I have to. It's a different game. He's older and
it's just become weird with a girlfriend and I when
I saw, like I grow my life, Belichick has been
like the serious one, no nonsense. And now I'm watching
videos of practice where she's coming out and talking to
him during practice. Yeah, like that that never would have
happened in New England with Bill Belichick in college world,

(01:50:18):
a different world. I'm selling.

Speaker 4 (01:50:20):
I'm selling it as well, and like him saying today
in his statement that they've known each other since twenty
twenty one. Is that kind of indicative of this new
person that Belichick has become even going back to and
let's say he has a person right in a professional relationship.
I don't really know how you would define her as

(01:50:40):
a professional relationship, right, but maybe it's pr and you know,
handling yourself in that way. In that sense, Bill gained
a lot of points over the last couple of years.
He's going on inside the NFL and the Manning cast,
and he was started on Instagram page and all that,
and it was like, Wow, it's cool to have this
sort of access to Bill Belichick. We've never seen that before.

(01:51:02):
I really liked it. And now it's like, okay, now
he's back in coaching and this woman seems to be
overly involved to a point where it's like, has Bill
Belichick lost his identity? Like, you know, we've all had friends,
right who meet somebody, start dating somebody, and next thing,
you know, an entirely different human being. Uh, that's kind

(01:51:24):
of what I feel like is going on with Bill Belichick.
Once they crossed the line from professional to personal, or
maybe it's been personal and maybe cross the line to professional.

Speaker 7 (01:51:34):
Now that's an issue I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:51:36):
Buy cell hold Toz Brooks running back number two out
of training camp.

Speaker 4 (01:51:39):
I'm going to sell that at the moment. I don't
think that that's going to be the case. We've seen
the Bengals before be bullish coming out of training camp.
They didn't go to uh Chase Brown right away. I
think they're going to give some A J. P. Ryan
that shot and say TODs Brooks isn't ready.

Speaker 7 (01:51:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:51:57):
I mean, I saw some people say that the restructure
of the contract, which frees up one point seven million dollars,
essentially guarantees that he's on the roster, and I don't
know that that's true. I would imagine TODJ. Brooks can
beat him out. I would imagine J. P. Ryan can
beat him out. So maybe it's just, you know, I
don't know. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Speaker 3 (01:52:18):
Let me double up on that out of training camp
Dylan Fairchild's left guard one.

Speaker 4 (01:52:22):
Yeah, I'm buying that. Yeah me too, Yeah, I'm buying that.
Uh Wes Miller. Oh gosh, so.

Speaker 3 (01:52:30):
I have I have one on UC basketball. Let me
tie it into this. UC's roster is better than they
were last year, not not a team, but their roster construction,
I buy that they are a better roster constructed than
they were last year. And if I'm buying that, then
I'm buying wes Miller. Because the thing about buying wes

(01:52:53):
Miller this year is if this team underachieves, and this
team doesn't make the NCAA tournament, then I sell wes Miller.
This is this is this is truly a bolding. Well, yeah,
this is truly a buy sell year for west Miller.
If they don't make the tournament, He's gone. But I'm
buying that their roster as currently constructed as better than

(01:53:13):
the one last year. Money.

Speaker 4 (01:53:16):
Yeah, that's gonna be wes Miller. After they win in
the round of thirty two. About that next year, Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:53:22):
You're gonna buy sell old Richard Patino takes Xavier to
the dance in year one?

Speaker 7 (01:53:27):
Uh you know what, I'll buy that? Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:53:29):
Sure.

Speaker 4 (01:53:30):
I don't know anything about Richard Patino. I don't know
how he's gonna operate. Stuff doesn't make sense to me entirely.
So I'm gonna say, uh yeah, I'm gonna say buy
buy it. Sure, Yeah, would you buy more of the stock?

Speaker 3 (01:53:42):
Is Xavier making the tournament, or you say, Xavior, it's
crazy for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:53:46):
Why is that crazy?

Speaker 3 (01:53:48):
I'm just saying that's like a crazy thought, because I
feel like most people would answer that because you sees
a better roster right now.

Speaker 4 (01:53:55):
Well, Xavior is a better program right now, right now, Yes,
better culture, all that sort of stuff. Uh, speaking of
programs and culture. Scott Sadderfield, this is a hold. How
about my guy, Scott Sadderfield yesterday golfing fourth finishes fourth
in one of I mean this picture of coaches the

(01:54:17):
with is unbelieve. We've got Kirby Smart, We've got Urban Meyer,
We've got the old ball coach, Steve Spurrier. I mean
this group of the finished fourth, Rick Neuheisel, Dan Mullen,
the new coach at U n l V. I think
that was his partner. I mean, how about Scott Saderfield. Okay,
let me do it this way. Buy or sell. You

(01:54:41):
get two options, Okay, Scott Saderfield golfer, Scott Sadderfield, football coach. Uh, golfer,
you're gonna buy the golfer. Buy the golfer. I'm holding
on the football coach, right, fair enough, let me ask this.
Let me follow up on right, now with the Bearcat
football team, what's better their offense of their defen So

(01:55:01):
I think the defense feels like it's heading in the
right direction.

Speaker 3 (01:55:03):
Yeah, I'm buying the defense. I'm holding on the offense
because they they've added so many But they do bring
back Joe Royer, they bring back Brennan Soarsby. Uh. The
unfortunate part about the Bearcats. CBS Sports just about a
week ago picked the Bearcats to finish four and eight
in the twenty twenty five season. This would be a

(01:55:25):
monumental step back. Their win total is six and a half.
Let me just give you buy sell hold Bearcats football
become Bowl eligible.

Speaker 4 (01:55:38):
I'm gonna say, I'm you know what show, I'm gonna
buy that.

Speaker 7 (01:55:42):
I'm gonna buy that. I'm gonna buy that.

Speaker 3 (01:55:44):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:55:44):
I like Scott Saderfield, I like their defense. Brendan Soarsby
another year in the system. It was a little bit
of in his pocket. I'll take the Bearcats to go
Bowl eligible this year. You say a little jingle in
the pocket, little jingle jingle. I have to buy it
because if not, my goodness, if they're not, then we're

(01:56:06):
talking about a new head coach next year.

Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Right, Yes, Bowling Green, Northwestern State both should be wins.
UCF should be a win. TCUs not very good, Oklahoma
State's not very good. Can you beat Kansas, Iowa State, Baylor,
Utah or Arizona and BYU one of those to get
to a bowl? Could they win at Arrowhead Stadium week

(01:56:31):
one against Nebraska? That would be fun, That would be cool.

Speaker 4 (01:56:35):
As of right now, just for bragging rights around the
office office are are probably let go our president DJ Hodge,
big Nebraska fan. Yes, and the weeks I'm I'm very
much looking forward to the weeks leading up to that game. Yeah,
just to see you and Moe going up against Dj
in the hallway. Can't wait, can't wait? Last one for me? Okay, Bengals,

(01:56:58):
Charlie Jones, Charlie Jones, Charlie Jones. We pull out my
current depth chart, Jamar Chase T. Higgins, Andre Yoshi Vas,
Jermaine Burton, Kendrick Pryor, Cole Burgess, Isaiah Williams. Of course
he's got to beat out Jimoy Mays as well, the
Andre free agent from Cincinnati. Because to me, it comes

(01:57:22):
down to Charlie Jones or Jermaine Burton, both of them
will be competing for the kick return job, and that's
the easiest way to make the roster for either one
of them. What's worse, consistently battling injuries or consistently battling
paying rent.

Speaker 3 (01:57:35):
Rent Well, if he's living at the stadium right now,
I give the edge to Burton's true. So I'll sell
Charlie Jones. Oh all right, so transaction, Charlie Jones step
back this year. So last one I got. FC Cincinnati
goes on the road and they make it six in
a row this weekend and they beat New York City
Fcring me my money.

Speaker 7 (01:57:54):
Yeah, I'm on that.

Speaker 3 (01:57:54):
I'm buying that. I'm buying the stock. I'm all over
Cincinnati now that I actually made it to a game,
to a match, I'm buying all the stock possible in
FC Cincinnati.

Speaker 7 (01:58:02):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (01:58:03):
That was by sell Hold. Next, just a quick, I
just have to revisit this this conspiracy thing really quick.
Oh okay, and then we'll get to Moegar fantastic since
e three to sixty thanks to Penn Station ESPN fifteen
thirty Cincinnati Sports Station lex.

Speaker 11 (01:58:20):
It what's going on in baseball?

Speaker 3 (01:58:22):
Getting ESPN fifteen thirty from iHeartRadio. Welcome back since e
three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. Thank you

(01:58:44):
to our friends at Penn Station. Moeger is coming up
here in just a few minutes. Still a rock fight
at a great American ballpark. Two outs in the eighth
Reds still trail won nothing in this game against the
Saint Louis Cardinals. Both teams just with three hits, one
of those unfortunately a home run early in the game
for Mason Win in the first inning, second batter. That

(01:59:07):
is all of the scoring that's happened on a beautiful
day here in Cincinnati. I wrote down Austin because we
had this conversation about conspiracy theories and and you know,
are there any out there that that are just insane?
I wrote down a couple that I thought are insane.

Speaker 7 (01:59:22):
Can I show you these ye please?

Speaker 3 (01:59:24):
Because we we we talked a little bit about this,
and it's always this that that spurs more conversation. I
mentioned the other night, uh, the Illuminati headquarters in Denver
at the airport allege alleged Illuminati headquarters. I've done a
lot of reading on the Illuminati. I don't think it's

(01:59:47):
smart to say anything else except that that's a conspiracy
theory that I read about. Uh, you mentioned one, and
I think this is one that I can get behind most.
Stevie Wonder is not actually blind. I can believe that
Stevie Wonder Is is visually impaired, but I don't think
he's completely blind. Too many, too many things out there

(02:00:08):
that just don't make sense, too many conversations that others
have had that don't make sense. I read a conspiracy
theory that claims that the elite of the elite in
this world are actually not human but lizard people.

Speaker 4 (02:00:24):
Oh, lizard people. Exactly does that mean?

Speaker 16 (02:00:29):
Well?

Speaker 3 (02:00:29):
They talk about breathing techniques that some people use. They
think people's eyes can flash into like a lizard form.

Speaker 4 (02:00:36):
Lizard people. I don't know if I'm buying that one.
All right, I'll sell that.

Speaker 3 (02:00:40):
But you will buy bigfoot and aliens.

Speaker 4 (02:00:43):
I don't know that aliens exist in the idea that
we kind of like stereotypically green, oblong, weird eyeballs. I
don't think that have. The universe is way too vast
for there not to be something out there. Okay, I
don't know that there is life intelligent enough to come

(02:01:05):
to us.

Speaker 3 (02:01:06):
See, I think it's more intelligent than us, and that's worry.

Speaker 4 (02:01:09):
I don't know if it's at that point or beyond us,
or enough to get to us and back and you know,
understand our world. I just don't think that's that's I
don't know if that's so.

Speaker 3 (02:01:20):
You think it's more possible when I think foot exists
over an alien form.

Speaker 4 (02:01:27):
No, I think they're they're both absolute certainties. But no mermaids,
I don't think so. Okay, what about aliens that live
in the ocean. Those wouldn't be aliens and then those
would be like amphibians or lizard people.

Speaker 3 (02:01:41):
No, okay, uh.

Speaker 4 (02:01:43):
But like when I think of life outside of Earth,
I think of you know, like plants, trees and vegetation
and growth and maybe some sort of animal. Yeah, absolutely,
me too. Ghost or ghosts?

Speaker 3 (02:01:56):
Have you ever had a ghost encounter?

Speaker 4 (02:01:59):
I think so?

Speaker 7 (02:02:00):
Yeah? Okay.

Speaker 4 (02:02:02):
Final results of our poll question Revivefitnessystems dot Com and
PJ Street, the sponsor Red's have Another Game tonight. At
six forty is number six prospect Chase Petty making his
MLB debut tonight enough to make you go to the ballpark?
Sixty nine percent say no, okay, it's unfortunate. I'll be
at the ballpark. I hope you will be too, very unfortunate.

(02:02:24):
What are you doing with the family tonight.

Speaker 3 (02:02:25):
I don't know. Come to the ballpark. Maybe I will
do it. We haven't been you know, we haven't been
asked about tickets or anything. So I mean, I think
you got set up for some tickets.

Speaker 7 (02:02:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:02:35):
I gotta give a shout out my guy, Johnny Salzarulo. Yeah,
longtime friend of john Johnny's been hooking me up.

Speaker 3 (02:02:42):
With with my new friend out of Johnny. You know,
we crossed a threshold in our family because there's a
certain age where you can just take kids to games
for free. We're out of that threshold and they need
tickets now. It's a little more expensive to take the
kids to games on flights, all of that stuff. These
are the other ones I wrote down. I mean, is
real question mark Prince Charles is a vampire? Question Mark?

(02:03:05):
Is Nicholas Cage a vampire? Or is he just does
he just exists a vampire? I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:03:11):
I think Anne Hathaway might be. I mean, you want
to talk about somebody who doesn't age. No seems to
be going in reversal. What about the conspiracy that birds
aren't really I don't know that I've ever been more
in love with a person. I don't know that I
am with Anne half Wow. Yeah, okay, strong birds are
very real. Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 7 (02:03:30):
I don't like that conspiracy.

Speaker 3 (02:03:31):
It's bad. Mulllagger's next. He's not a conspiracy guy. He
also will mute you on social media if you bring
up anything about Belichick's girlfriend. He joins us next for
quick Hits.

Speaker 4 (02:03:42):
He should start the segment and just say Belichick girlfriend.
See what he does.

Speaker 3 (02:03:47):
Since he three to sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 2 (02:03:51):
On ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati's sports station, it's time for
Since he three sixty quick hits on ESPN, Fife was.

Speaker 3 (02:04:01):
Looking for Mo. Mo's in the house? Boy, quick?

Speaker 7 (02:04:06):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (02:04:07):
If I were to like Belichick girlfriend, Nope, you just
shut down.

Speaker 7 (02:04:11):
Not interested you mute. I can't think of a less
interesting story.

Speaker 3 (02:04:15):
I just want to see, like how you respond to
muted words that you have on social.

Speaker 7 (02:04:19):
So occasionally, occasionally I will just get tired of reading
tweets about a certain topic and I just mute the words,
like torpedo bats. I took off the mute because people
are forgot, you know, people cared for like thirty six
hours and then moved on to something else. There are
certain terms that I've muted, probably forever, like mattress mac
elon musk, which that's not a political thing. I muted

(02:04:41):
that years ago. I just don't care, don't find them interesting,
don't care. Nevada game, Yeah, that's ruin college basketball, because
you know how everything's gonna ruin college basketball or ruin
college football. Muted those and I have a peaceful, happy existence.
But there is something that is kind of sticking in
my crawl. Sure, okay, and I'm gonna talking about this today.

(02:05:01):
Prank calls. Oh oh so NFL draftees getting pranked?

Speaker 3 (02:05:05):
Yeah? Love it. What are you doing if one day
Crosley runs into some trouble and you're fined a large
amount of money? Well, who would find me? What would
I be fined for? That's a good question.

Speaker 7 (02:05:19):
How much money do I have in the bank?

Speaker 1 (02:05:21):
Like?

Speaker 7 (02:05:21):
Am I being fined fifty bucks for her prank calling? Somebody?

Speaker 3 (02:05:25):
I'll pay the fine for it. What do you do
if you're jeff Aulbrick? How do you deal with your son?
You hold that over for us.

Speaker 7 (02:05:31):
He's twenty one years old. What are you going to do?

Speaker 3 (02:05:33):
And if you're twenty one, why are you filming yourself
when you're doing That's the thing.

Speaker 7 (02:05:38):
If you're gonna do the prank call, somebody else filed themselves.

Speaker 4 (02:05:41):
Somebody else filmed them I bet they were trying to
those and Christmases are going to be fun.

Speaker 7 (02:05:46):
Yeah, it's a weird conversation, right, yeah, because he's not
like it's not like he's twelve. You know, I don't
know what the rules are that. I don't know if
he lives at home what that. But but like that's
tough conversation there.

Speaker 3 (02:05:58):
Man.

Speaker 7 (02:05:58):
What do you do for Father's Day? Like, what do
you do for dad on Father's Day? That could get
you out of the doghouse with the old man after
costing him one hundred.

Speaker 3 (02:06:06):
Large no luck, no dice? What else you got coming
on the show?

Speaker 7 (02:06:10):
Instant reaction to Today's daytime tilt at GABP. This show
has a good track record of when we go on
the air, whatever the game is, whatever is happening in
the game at that point, the opposite happens. So the
Reds are losing right now in the top of the
ninth inning. My prediction is Red's win this game.

Speaker 3 (02:06:25):
When we go on the air, really, yeah, Alexis Diaz
didn't walk his first battery, hit his first.

Speaker 7 (02:06:30):
Battery more efficient. Get it out of the way.

Speaker 3 (02:06:32):
Yeah, keep the pitch count down, sure.

Speaker 7 (02:06:34):
Get it out of the way. Right are struggling offensively today.
We were just talking off air what you do with
Matt McLain. We have to spend some time on that.
Stacy Cereals is going to be on the show. Okay,
somebody who nearly overlapped with you at UC. He was
the offensive line coach in one and two. He is
currently the offensive line coach at the University of Georgia,
and so he's going to join us to talk about

(02:06:55):
Dylan Fairchild. And in the course of chatting with him,
we reached out to him last year to get a
Marius Mims and he ghosted us. Oh, so I said, like,
now we can talk to you about a Marius Mims too,
because a coach both in college. So that's coming up
at four to twenty today. Joe Goodbarry is going to
be on the show in the first hour, and you know,

(02:07:17):
I think everybody is sort of opined on the Bengals
draft class. Oh pined, and I think the consensus is eh.
I don't think that is based on the players they took.
I think there are folks doing what the Bengals do
not deserve. I will explain coming up at three oh.

Speaker 3 (02:07:34):
Five Bengals Booth podcast, director of scouting Mike Potts said
that they had multiple opportunities to trade back in the draft.
Didn't see fit. Was that surprising to you that he
said it? Yeah? Yeah, because I felt like some of
the picks were reaches. Yeah, you like the picks, but
you also felt you could have got them a little
bit later, Duke Tobin talked about wanting more picks. It
felt like the opportunity was there.

Speaker 7 (02:07:55):
Yeah, I'm surprising Demetrius Knight. My first reaction was they
could have waited to get him or move and there
was a whole slew of linebackers, including Barrett Carter who
went in round four. I just Demetrious might. Demitrious Knight
might be a really good football player, and from an
intangible standpoint, what is there not to like? But you

(02:08:19):
often judge drafts by not so much the hall of
players but when were they taken? And did you get
as much value as you possibly could out of every pick?
And I can't help but think that the forty ninth
pick could have been swung for a pick that still
could have been Demetrius Knight or Demetrius Knight's taken later.

(02:08:41):
And you address defensive tackle, for instance.

Speaker 3 (02:08:47):
Your level of shock seeing Jamer Candelario go to the
ten day This popped up right after that conversation with
Terry Frankcone woke up with a bad back. The timing
in the optics very interesting.

Speaker 7 (02:09:03):
It is like, I I hate to say that he's
while he's faking it like that, that's not fair. But regardless,
when he comes back whenever that is old boys got
to start hitting, and I think it's going to take
him a lot to earn his former rollback.

Speaker 3 (02:09:22):
Last night.

Speaker 7 (02:09:24):
Didn't put him away, Nope, left the door open.

Speaker 3 (02:09:27):
What did you make of the altercation behind around uh
Janni Santakupo and Tyrese Halliburton's dad, Because I'm watching Shaq
and Chuck after the game and they're they're arguing with
each other. Jack is saying that you know it's Jiannis,
He's an athlete. He's in that role. He can't, you know,
go down to that level, Chuck saying, the guy ran
on the court and got in his face, said he

(02:09:49):
didn't even know it was Halliburton's dad. What did you
make of that?

Speaker 7 (02:09:52):
Last day? Guy doesn't belong on the floor. Correct, The
guy doesn't belong on the floor, dad or not, Dad
or not. I don't care who he is. The guy
doesn't belong on the floor. And if you're Yannisant, you
have no idea who this guy is. Hell Jianness did
nothing wrong, held his own dude more would have if
that man didn't want to know what could have been done,
had done the wrong thing?

Speaker 3 (02:10:11):
Could there be anything more disrespectful than a man putting
his forehead on the top of your head in an argument?

Speaker 7 (02:10:18):
I like t run dong Cardinals up Cardinals now for nothing,
I'd take back my previous d Knicks. Uh Knicks are
gonna lose this series.

Speaker 1 (02:10:30):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (02:10:32):
Chase Petty debuts tonight.

Speaker 7 (02:10:33):
Detroit is playing without their top interior defender, their second
best scorer. They've been the best team in this series.
You cannot let a good team that has a guy
like Kid Cunningham off the hook and you can't stand
there like a bozo. If you're a head coach and
you've got to time out and two of your starters
are standing there waiting to check into the game as
the game is falling apart?

Speaker 24 (02:10:53):
What are we doing?

Speaker 7 (02:10:58):
Kill the music, don't play.

Speaker 3 (02:10:59):
The gonna mute that, aren't you?

Speaker 7 (02:11:01):
I'm gonna mute the song. Now there's gonna be a
game seven on Derby Day, Like you know what, I don't.

Speaker 3 (02:11:08):
Shape for them.

Speaker 7 (02:11:09):
Oh, like Derby Day's a big deal. And now I
gotta like bear down if they lose tomorrow in a
game seven.

Speaker 3 (02:11:15):
Yeah, I want to do that.

Speaker 7 (02:11:17):
I'm preparing to run the Flying Pig the next day too. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:11:21):
I think I'm going half of the full, the whole thing.

Speaker 7 (02:11:28):
Legitimately, over the weekend, somebody asked me, you guys know me,
Well just look at me, and goes, are you running
the Flying Pig? And when I got done laughing, they're like,
are you really running it? Like? What on earth would
make you think? I'm good luck to everybody who's running it,
it's awesome.

Speaker 3 (02:11:44):
I did one year like the Little King's Many Mile
or something like that, and I was dead. And that
was when I was like still in decent shape. I
just can't get behind it.

Speaker 7 (02:11:52):
I did the relay for a person relay like two
and eight. Yeah, that fun. It was great. It ended
right in front of tear He's turf clubs. I just
went in an ate. It's a good spot. Like the
three dudes I ran with, like, where are you at?
I'm eating a Burger turf club hanging. Yeah, so you're up.
You're upgrading to the half. Yeah, I'm gonna do the
half on Sunday morning after I enjoy the Derby and
maybe sweat out of Game.

Speaker 3 (02:12:13):
Seven seven fantastic. Before you get downey that you got
the Moeggor Show next. Uh, this is since he three

Speaker 7 (02:12:18):
