Speaker 2 (00:18):
Good afternoon, Welcome in, Happy Tuesday. It is the latest
edition of SINCY three sixty. You're listening on ESPN fifteen
thirty Cincinnati Sports Station and a service here of our
friends at Skyline Chili. Or anytime you're feeling good and hungry,
it is Skyline Time. Thanks for following along. ESPN fifteen
(00:39):
thirty iHeartRadio App. If you're listening via the app, if
you're listening live, you can leave us a talkback that
will get played at some point today and hour number two.
We've got a little bit different scheduling today and we'll
adjust accordingly. But Joe Burrow is scheduled to speak at
twelve fifteen. I believe Zach Taylor around one one ten
(01:00):
this afternoon is going to speak to the media as well.
So obviously with Zach and Joe Burrow speaking, we will
play both of those as we get them. So obviously
a huge day here for the Cincinnati Bengals because Joe
Burrow was slated to speak a week from today a
week ago, and that got moved that, of course, amidst
(01:21):
the Trey Hendrickson drama that was happening with the Cincinnati Bengals.
That is scheduled for today, So we'll get to that
in just a few minutes. You'll hear from the quarterback
of the Bengals. You'll also hear from the head coach
of the Cincinnati Bengals, and when all of that's done,
because it is Tuesday, it'll just get moved back to
two o'clock today, we'll talk to Joe Daniman of Fox
nineteen to react to everything going on right now with
(01:44):
the Cincinnati Bengals as it relates to Trey Hendrickson, what
we get today from an audio standpoint, and of course
the latest on the Bengals first round pick Shamar Stewart,
who is again not practicing in today's workout.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
This is phase two, Phase two of.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
The Bengals offseason program rolling along this afternoon. We tried
Austin and I don't even know if at this point
I'm still one hundred percent sure on what the hold
up is today. From Kelsey Conway of Cincinnati Dot com.
(02:27):
She says that Shamar Stewart is requesting that his contract
language mirror the last two Bengals first round picks, both
of which were selections after pick number seventeen. This is
a source telling Kelsey Greg Zabel. Grey's Abel, selected at
pick number eighteen, was signed by the Seattle Seahawks last week.
(02:48):
So the first round pick of the Bengals remains unsigned,
still not practicing because of the dispute over the language
in his contract. He will not practice until that gets resolved.
So that is obviously something that will follow along with today.
But a lot going on from a Cincinnati Bengals standpoint today,
(03:10):
all of which we'll cover as we go along.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Today.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
We'll also cover what we witnessed last night, and that
is the fifth consecutive win from the Cincinnati Reds. They
beat the Pirates seven to one. They are twenty five
and twenty four on the season, and they did so
last night. Austin in sacrificing or almost sacrificing a pigeon
during batting practice, I would.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Imagine, excuse me, I haven't used my voice in a while.
I would imagine that the pigeon didn't make it through
the night, nor did the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, this was first reported by Charlie Goldsmith and has
obviously blown up since then. But a pigeon was struck
during batting practice with a line drive. Now, Charlie origin.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
That was bat ball pigeon.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Originally, Charlie unfortunately did not get the exit velo on
the line drive, but originally said that the pigeon passed
away immediately, and then updated that the pigeon is alive
but essentially on life support.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, when we talked to Charlie on Friday, I would
imagine most of the conversation will be spent talking about
what exactly happened. Now, Charlie's withheld some details, probably to
protect the identity of whoever the Reds player was. But
I want to know, you know, was this in right field?
(04:36):
Wasn't in center field? Was it a line drive in
the infield? Was the pigeon stationary? Was the pigeon in flight?
Was the pigeon potentially on one of those wires where
the nets are. I want to know more about what
happened because this, to me, tone is a turning point.
You know, for years and years, you can go back
to Biblical times, you can go back to in some
(04:58):
societies today and cultures today, where animals are sacrificed for
the greater good. It has happened many times. And while
this does not appear to be an intentional sacrifice, it
might still be an influential sacrifice for this pigeon to
be the one to go down so that the Reds
can continue to win. Now five consecutive with two more
(05:20):
to play against one of the worst teams in baseball
in Pittsburgh, and of course the Cubs series looming coming
up this weekend and which we heard some good news
about that we'll tell you about. But this is the
most interesting part of the red season right now. What Who?
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Why?
Speaker 5 (05:36):
How?
Speaker 3 (05:37):
And the pigeon. And as the Red said last night,
they posted a picture of a pigeon and just simply
posted it with the hashtag win for Pigeon, so it
could become a rallying cry and something to build off
of and rally around for this ball club, for this
fan base, and for this city to.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
If it were Will Benson that hit the pigeon, that
might make it makes sense. Will Benson, essentially his is
on fire right now, seven straight games with a hit.
We'll get you caught up on how the Reds did
it last night, a seven to one victory over the
Pittsburgh Pirates in which they collected twelve hits. We'll talk
about Nick Lodolo and the Reds bullpen, we'll recap the
(06:20):
offense and look ahead to today's matchup as well. I
did watch something yesterday Austin, because I think there's a
lot of this conversation, and rightfully so, not only here
locally but nationally going on about Will Benson and you know,
how how has Will Benson gotten back to this point?
(06:44):
What's different? They did a they did a breakdown on
MLB Network yesterday Harold Reynolds. Harold Reynolds did it and
it was phenomenal, talking about Will Benson working with Eric
Davis and going back to a decade ago when Will
Benson was still in high school. And essentially it came
(07:08):
down to where Will Benson holds the bat when he
was in high school, when he was coming up, he
held that bat very low. If you ever have seen
Eric Davis hit or a photo of Eric Davis that bat,
the knob of the bat is almost kind of at
like waist belt length and height. Last year, the bat
(07:29):
was almost at at shoulder height for Will Benson, and
he struggled at times, and this breakdown from hald Ray
it's phenomenal because it does show Will Benson getting back
to what he's comfortable with. And they kind of reiterated
in the video for hitters at any level, if you're
struggling or if your back's against the wall, go back
(07:50):
to what got you there. I mean, that's why Will
Benson was drafted because of what he did in high school.
And he's tinkered and he's messed with different things, but
it feels like he's finally back to being himself, being
comfortable the batting stance has changed, and with that ideally
coming some uh, some more success for Will Benson.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
And if you tell, if you watch or if you
heard any of the broadcasts both base for TV or
radio last night, you know that that can kind of
make you susceptible to the high fastball. And so I
think that's an interesting part. Now will teams start to
go to that high fastball to try to get Will
Benson out. We saw Mitch Keller do it a couple
(08:33):
of times last night, and then there was a play
later in the game where Benson just beat him to
the spot and flipped it the other way, right down
the left field line, and they had this shift on
and that was an easy two base hit for Will.
If you're able to do that stuff, yep, beyond just
hitting for a home run or hitting a home run
every single time. If you can get out of a
(08:55):
tough situation or a bad count or whatever it is,
you flipped the ball the other way, you become a
threat to all fields. That can be a huge boost
to this team's offense.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yeah, sign me up for everything that Will Benson is
doing right now. Not not great right now in New
York with the New York Mets and Juan Soto getting
a lot of heat talking about his energy lack thereof
just doesn't seem like the same vibrant guy, the same
way he's been attacking the plate. Last night, he thought
he hit a home run to left field, he essentially
(09:26):
walked to first base. It hit the green Monster. He
only got a single out of it. There's a lot
of heat right now coming on Juan Soto and the Mets.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, thankfully for him. He ended up stealing second after
that to kind of bail himself out a little bit.
But it's gotten to the point where his manager, Carlos
Mendoza is gonna talk to him about him hustling out
of the box. It's become an issue for them. And
anytime you have a dude making seven hundred and fifty
or sixty million dollars and you're not hustling out of
the box, yep, you're gonna make a lot of people mad.
(09:55):
And not just Mets fans, You're gonna make baseball fans mad.
It's like, dude, you just sign this huge deal. It
seems to be all sorts of different information too, coming
out about his contracts, some saying that he had these
special clauses for his family and travel and some I'm
saying not so much. And either way, it just feels
like a circus right now for the Mets, who lost
again last night to the Boston Red Sox, and now
(10:17):
the Mets have fallen out of first place the NL
East in quite some time. The Phillies won last night,
so the Mets are no longer in first place.
Speaker 6 (10:25):
You know.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Least Dodgers also have lost four games in a row.
They are depleted right now with injuries. But shohe Otani
did retake the home run lead in Major League Baseball
last night from Aaron Judge. He hit his seventeenth home run.
Other things happening. Four losses in a row for the Dodgers. Yeah, yeah,
that's what I said. I know, just there it is.
Think about that for the Dodgs. Thought they were gonna
(10:48):
win one hundred and twenty games. For the Dodgers, they've
lost four in a row, unbeatable, four games straight.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Don't let the Reds get Oh boy, let their reads.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Get Western Conference Finals Game one tonight te Wolves and
Thunder in Oklahoma City. Also of note, they didn't get
to this yesterday. You see, baseball went into last weekend
with a kind of a must win scenario against Kansas State.
If you look at a lot of projections right now,
you see is in the tournament now. They could help
(11:20):
themselves by what they can go do in the Big
Twelve Tournament. They clinched the eight seed. Coming up in
this Big Twelve Tournament, they play Texas Tech tomorrow. It's
a game that's going to start at one thirty. The
winner will face number one seeded West Virginia the following day.
These teams faced off during the year. You see one
two out of three in Lubbock. You see as thirty
(11:42):
one and twenty three on this season and already have
five series wins against teams that advanced to the Big
twelve Championship. So a lot going on right now with
you see baseball, but there is a feel that they
do have the resume to make the tournament. We'll keep
an eye on that. The Bears and Joe Tooney, their
(12:02):
guard agree to a thirty five million dollar extension and
San Francisco made Fred Warner the highest paid linebacker in
NFL history. On the other NFL news, we have the
NFL is voting today but is expected to pass that
will allow players to play in the twenty twenty eight
Olympics for flag football. Now there's a lot that goes
(12:24):
into this, but essentially they would vote on permission for
any player under NFL contract to participate in tryouts. But
it is a limit of one player per NFL team
on each national team participating.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
So think about that. That would essentially be one NFL
player on the United States team. Who would you choose?
That's a good question. And if you are an owner
of a team, why or how does this benefit you
at all? If you're Steven Ross. But it's the Miami Dolphins.
(13:00):
Oh does it benefit you to have Tyreek Hill in
the Olympic?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Is it one player? Or it says a limit of
one player per NFL team on each national team?
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Think about that each national team? So the United States
national team can have a limit of one NFL player. Yeah,
who do you take exactly? Who's the who's the team?
If you're Mike Brown, how does it benefit you when
you just vested a ton of money into Jamar Chase
to let him play for the United States?
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Well, what's what's the conversation around the NBA? How does
it benefit NBA players?
Speaker 3 (13:32):
I don't know. We're not talking about the NBA.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
How's it benefit playing in the World Baseball Classic?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Two very different sports from a physicality standpoint. NBA, I'm talking,
you're you're bringing football, You're bringing football, You're bringing NBA
into this. This is flag football, this is football. It's
very different sport. It's not tackle football. But still it's
safer than the NBA. H. I don't know if that's true.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
I mean, what do NBA franchise is what do baseball
franchises gain from it? I don't know that they do
it's for America. It's also forgot, it's for God in
the country. Sure, unbelievable. Yeah, I'm just trying to name
on the front of the I mean, they expect it
to pass. But these are the questions I would be asking.
(14:19):
If I invested a lot of money into a player,
I say, go play for the Red, White and Blue
and bring home gold. Who would you pick?
Speaker 6 (14:28):
Now?
Speaker 3 (14:28):
That's that's it. I would leave leave that at your
as your talk back today. You can pick one American
in the National Football League to play for your team. Man,
who are you picking? And who do you got to
watch out for? Some other countries? All still ahead?
Speaker 6 (14:42):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Before we do break and get lined up for whenever
Joe Burrow takes the podium. We have a poll question
today as well.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
We do. It's Revive Fitness Systems dot Com Pole Question,
brought to you by Revived Fitness Systems dot Com and
PJ Street. How concerned are you about Theingles negotiations with
Shamar Stewart. Options are not concerned. It's may starting to
get it. Concerned, pretty concerned and so concerned I could
puke right now. Fifty eight percent say they're not concerned
(15:12):
because it's May. You can vote at audio more at
ESPN fifteen third. Have you ever been concerned about the
Uoni underscore pike fifteen? Yes, many times. That's a tough one.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Let's take a break when Joe Burrow takes the podium.
You'll hear that at some point next on ESPN fifteen thirty,
Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (15:31):
Thanks to Skyline, Chilly Now.
Speaker 7 (15:33):
Your chance to win one thousand dollars entered this nationwide.
Keward on our website.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
Still the craft in many respects.
Speaker 8 (15:42):
Three to two is blasted way way back to right field,
and that hits off the third tack. A titanic blast
from Kyle Schwarber. My goodness, there's number sixteen on the
season and that is a way to hit number three
hundred off the third deck.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Three hundred career home runs for Middletown Zone Kyle Schwarber.
Pretty damn impressive, Pretty impressive. Indeed, you mentioned the Phillies.
They are red hot right now and Kyle Schwarber is
second in all of Major League Baseball in home runs.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Four hundred and sixty six foot blasts last night in
Denver against the Rockies for Kyle Schwarber's three hundredths.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
I also saw that Bryce Harper shaved his head and
has become like the best hitter in baseball.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
Again, you know, that sort of stuff happens. You know,
you got to do that, some touch your hair, sacrifice
a pigeon. Yeah, those are the things that happened. Those
things happen. I saw Patrick Mahomes has short hair. Now, oh,
that could be a little bit concerning. Okay, you know
Burrow dyed his hair blonde and had the best season
of his life. True, So these are the things you
(16:55):
have to look out for. Speaking of Joe Burrow, do
you know who hit their four hundredth career home run
at Corsefield in Colorado?
Speaker 9 (17:02):
Who?
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Do you have? A guess? I don't know. Ken Griffey Jr.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
He was good at baseball as well, pretty much kept
it as one hairstyle though.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
Yeah all throughout. Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Respect as well Joe Burrow any moment, will take the podium.
When that happens, we will go live to that.
Speaker 3 (17:24):
Oops. Oh, I thought that was like leading into Joe Burrow.
That is the music that they play. I accidentally, uh
turned it on. Uh.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
There are a couple house keeping pieces of news for
the Cincinnati Bengals right now, because we've talked from Shambar Stewart,
we've talked a lot of Trey Hendrickson. ESPN's Seth Walter
reported that the Bengers hile. Bengals hired Trey la Bounding,
formerly an intern with the Buffalo Bills, as a scouting
(17:54):
research analyst. In bigger news, they lost Christian sharkeys In,
who's going to head to Northwestern become the general manager
of for athletics. But they are this being the Cincinnati Bengals,
they are adding to the scouting department, which is something
we actually we did spend time talking about leading up
to the draft. That is a positive in my opinion
(18:16):
for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Looks like they are losing one scout and as a
whole adding three people to the scouting department. So I
guess a plus two plus two differential in the differential, which,
as we know, differentials are big around here. Yeah, run
differentials and the other differentials massing. And I've tried to
tell people that the Bengals have slowly been adding to this.
(18:38):
They've been working on this, they've getting analytics, they've you know,
they've got more than like three scouts like people like
to say they have, so them continuing to invest in that,
I think is a good thing for the direction of
the organization. And obviously they understand just as much as
we understand the importance of hitting on these drafts. Moving forward, Yeah,
(19:01):
to kind of circle back to about the Shamar Stewart
thing and what you read from Kelsey Conway's Peace and
the Inquirer about you know, he wants his agent wants
a contract and a structure similar to what Amarius mimes
and who am I Miles Miles Murphy got. If that's
(19:25):
the case, then that tells me that this is not
a Shamar Stewart and his agent issue. It's a Bengals issue.
Because if you're the Bengals, why wouldn't you do what
you just did with your last two first round picks?
What are you trying to change? If Kelsey's report is true,
and I'm assuming it is, she reported it and she
(19:47):
has good sources with these agents and has done that
in the past, then what are the Bengals trying to change?
What are they afraid of or what are they differing on? That?
That I think is the confus using part to answer
the poll question. I'm not that concerned because it is
may but I would like to see the guy practice
with his teammates. I would like to get that under
(20:09):
his belt and this not be a distraction when you've
already got another defensive end that's decided to be a distraction.
I'm just a little bit confused by.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
It, especially when the pick itself is viewed as a
little bit of a project. Absolutely, you want as much
time with a new defensive coordinator on the field as possible,
and that does become a little bit frustrating, Like I'm
not in the sense and I'm not in the camp
of this will never get done. Sure it'll get done,
(20:37):
but you're missing out on valuable time and valuable reps
right now. Absolutely, And that's important to your point. There's
a reason these picks are now pretty much slotted in
the NFL. Each pick you know pretty much what you're
gonna get, which makes it seem to me, if other
teams are getting their deals done, that this could be
(20:59):
more of a bangal hold up right, And what that
reasoning is, we don't know, but it's it's frustrating because
I read a tweet earlier just scrolling across it it's
you know, you have a new defensive coordinator. You have
an offseason where your your best defensive player is unhappy
and holding press conferences while practice is going on, and
(21:19):
your your number seventeen overall pick who's also a part
of that defensive line is now not practicing for a
new defensive coordinator. The optics of it are just brutal.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, it just it makes you wonder why do the
Bengals decide to do these things?
Speaker 10 (21:35):
Like?
Speaker 3 (21:35):
What is it about? Again? You always want to feel
like the most important thing to your front office, to
your coach, to your quarterback, to your players is winning
and being able to get that done. Whatever that looks
like Ben Baby less than a minute ago, if ESPN says,
per source, Bengals first round pick Shamar Stewart's paperwork remains
(22:00):
as unsigned because of a perceived discrepancy compared to previous
standard rookie contracts. Okay, so I I have no idea
what that could be, but I am incredibly curious about it.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
What about should we take our break now? Sure, because
we're probably gonna get Joe Burrow in the next few minutes,
and that way, instead of having to cut and break
and be all backed up. Let's stay on the clock,
let's break, let's come back. We'll get to Joe Burrow
as soon as he starts speaking on CINCY three to
sixty on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station thanks to
Skyline Chili.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
Lowegar.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
We've talked about this a lot. He's got what you want, like,
who's the go to guy?
Speaker 7 (22:38):
Gonna be the interviews? His views and your pauls.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Go to guy. Isn't the team's leading school, Lowegar.
Speaker 7 (22:45):
Today at three on ESPN fifteen.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Thirty, Get Physical, Terrapy, Welcome back Sincy three to sixty
thanks to Skyline Chili on then fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
As does go these live things awesome. We're about fifteen
minutes late on the start time for Joe Burrows press conference.
(23:11):
We're still waiting on that.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
He must begin some extra work in with Jamar.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
You think he's getting extra work in or you think
maybe he's speaking to maybe some media relations about what
to or not to say today.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
I would imagine there's also probably a pre press conference meeting.
We're gonna need you here.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
You know, we we listened with Jamar and t and
you got to help us out in this one.
Speaker 3 (23:35):
I remember off season hard knocks last year with the
New York Giants, where right before they go out on
to speak to the combine, to the reporters at the combine,
Joe Shane, the gm is meeting with the pr say
all right, here's your answer for this. You're gonna be
asked this question, Bubba. We're talking about Saquon Barkley or
whatever it might be, quarterbacks, blah blah blah. So I'm
(23:58):
sure there's a lot of that going on right now
as well as which you know what that's that's what
they should be doing to have a united front when
it comes to the quarterback and the the rest of
the organization.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
We briefly touched on the topic of the scouting department
and adding to that to the Cincinnati Bengals, and we've
talked about why that's important in nailing these draft picks.
I saw this from Adam Schefter about what San Francisco
has done in the last month. Brock Party on a
(24:32):
Friday five o'clock news dump last week got a five year,
two hundred and sixty five million dollar extension contract, Fred
Warner three year, sixty three million George Kittle signed a
four year, seventy six million dollar deal. Kittle was a
fifth round pick out of Iowa, Fred Warner was a
third round pick, and brock Party was the last pick
(24:54):
in the NFL draft. They have got the max out
of those three draft picks, and now they are paying
for those draft picks. But think of and I know
it comes short because it didn't deliver them a Super Bowl,
but think about the flexibility that San Francisco was able
to operate with over the last couple of years. They
just were unable to get over the hump and finish
(25:16):
this off and win the big one.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
But it is.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
It's not something new, it's something we talk about all
the time, but just the importance of hitting on these
draft picks that aren't just first or second round draft picks,
but hitting on those mid to late round guys as well,
and how getting a couple of those guys in can
absolutely change the trajectory of your team or one side
of the ball. Fred Warner flies, he commands everything about
(25:46):
that defense. George Kittle run game, pass game is so
influential in what they want to do. It but it
allowed them to make the McCaffrey deal. It allowed them
to do what they did with Deebo, Samuel and the
rest of that defense. And now, like the Bengals are
going through now, you've got to figure out how to
do it while you're spending a lot of money on
(26:06):
your main players.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Yeah, gotta pay your best players and then supplement through
the draft and free agency and being able to find
those guys. That's what the Bengals were a strength at
is you know, in free agency, those mid tier type
of players or maybe even a trade like acquiring bj
Hill for Billy Price, that can you can have impact players,
role players, contributing players without a major cost. And that's
(26:29):
what the Bengals are trying to figure out. That's now
where San Francisco is at as well. And this interesting
division out there now was what's going on at the
quarterback spot in Seattle. And then the Rams seem to
never go away. They got to deal with Stafford done
and they've kind of rebuilt through the draft, which was
the exact opposite of who they were when they went
(26:50):
all in to win the Super Bowl a few years
ago against the Bengals and Arizona. I don't know, they're
just kind of stuck in neutral, but they're at least
trending in the right direction. Yeah. By the way, Joe Daneman,
who's going to join us at two o'clock, said, the
presser is a little bit delayed for Burrow because he
is still working at the practice facility. Good and get
you some extra work in Joe standby.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
You know what also was important for San Francisco and
being able to get to the point to pay those
guys those contracts, getting their first contract done.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
After they drafted them. Yeah, that was important as well.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
I don't know how the timing will go based on
Burrow and Zach Taylor and everything else. So while we
are waiting, we can fill you in on what happened
with the Cincinnati Reds last night. They won their fifth
straight game. They beat the Pittsburgh Pirates. You want to
talk about a team that's not scoring four runs are
fewer in twenty four straight games for the Pirates.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
Yikes, it's bad.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
Last night, Lodolo with the bullpen taxed, Lodolo went six
innings of one run baseball. Lion Richardson, Scott Barlow, Brent
Souter combined for the final three innings of the game.
(28:10):
Lodolo struck out seven in those six innings. He didn't
do seven groundouts four games. Last four games for the
Reds bullpen twenty innings of just three runs giving up.
What did you make of Lodolo's start last night? On paper? Solid,
But it's just it's weird. And we talked about this
(28:31):
before the show a little bit. He just doesn't look
as dominant as I thought he would be at this point.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Yeah, but I think that might be who he is
because we've kind of said that about him forever. Yeah,
he's just like waiting for him to take this next
step is to being this dominant starter. He's just a
solid pitcher. He never really like he I look at him,
I watch him pitch, I'm like, that guy's not a killer.
Like he's not. He doesn't have that swagger about him.
(29:01):
It almost like he doesn't pitch with a lot of confidence.
I feel like it's part of it. And you know,
maybe that comes from the injuries that he's had and
as often as he hits batters with that breaking ball
in the back foot, he did it again last night.
I don't know exactly where it comes from. He pitches well,
he pitches fine. Sometimes he's dominant, but not all the time,
(29:24):
And it just feels like he doesn't have that swagger.
Even Andrew Abbott has you can't touch me type of swagger,
and we've seen it from Hunter Green and Nick Martinez
has this kind of unbridled confidence in himself and his
defense behind him. Lodolo, I don't know if it's just
his personality, but just kind of the way he carries himself.
It's like, all right, let's just try to get through
(29:45):
this inning. Which, hey, it's worked, He's been fine, but
it's like I do have concerns about him, like in
big games. Sure later on, can he be that guy
that it's like, all right, I'm gonna go shut these
dudes down. I don't know. And he did fine against Pittsburgh,
but again you just mentioned it. It's Pittsburgh. They're terrible.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
It certainly helped the bullpen out that the Reds were
able to add on some runs late, took a little
bit of the pressure off offensively. Twelve hits on the night. Again,
this is after hitting a pigeon and batting practice, so
do without what you want, but the pigeon led to
twelve hits for the Cincinnati Reds.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
TJ.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Friedel had three of them. Gavin lux team leading thirteen
doubles after two more last night. Austin Hayes had three
hits on the night. He's got a six game hitting streak.
Ellie hit two doubles. We've seen the power Austin. I
liked more what I saw from Ellie last night than
I think I have in maybe any other game this year.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
Yeah, good, opposite field sings, work counts a little bit,
looked more like the Ellie we saw during spreen training.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
That is, obviously two of the seven doubles that the
Reds hit. Will Benson also had a double, a seven
game hit streak. The only I guess negative Tyler Stevenson
another zero for three night, struck out for the tenth
consecutive game. I think we lean more and more to
the point, Austin where we see more Travigno and less
Tyler Stevenson, like we talked about yesterday, until it gets
(31:16):
figured out a little bit more consistently.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
And I think that's fair.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
By the way, the Saint Louis Cardinals continue to win
in the NL Central. They've won eight out of ten.
They are one game back of the Cubs, who lost
to the Miami Marlins. Last night, the Reds pull into
third place in the NL Central, twenty five and twenty
four and three and a half games back in the
NL Central. Yankees leading the AL East the Baltimore Oriols, Austin.
(31:44):
I've seen multiple people say this, Baltimore Orioles most disappointing
team in baseball this year. They're terrible, and it's not
even close. They've lost eight out of ten. They're fifteen
and thirty one on the year, twelve back in the
AL East. The Tigers still remain on top of the
AL Central, Mariners holding strong the AL West. Austin, you
mentioned earlier, the Mets fall out of first place, Phillies
(32:05):
move into first place, and all of a sudden, remember
when they started zero to seven, the Braves are back
over five hundred and just five games back. Here come
the Atlanta Braves. Dodgers, going through some injuries, lost four
in a row, but still remaining first because the Padres
have also lost three in a row. That Red's wind streak,
by the way, at five, is the longest current wind
(32:27):
streak in Major League Baseball. Tonight, Nick Martinez Bailey falter
on the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Nick Martinez looks
to continue the Reds winning ways tonight. Let's take one
more break when we come back, will you take this
to the end of the hour. We'll get some Joe
(32:47):
Burrow audio whichever comes first. Either way, we'll play the
audio from Joe. We'll get the audio from Zach Taylor
as well. All still ahead, a't Sincy three to sixty

Speaker 4 (34:33):
Is busy.
Speaker 11 (34:35):
And then not busy at the same time. But I've
enjoyed it. It's good to be back to see everybody.
Didn't get back out there though.
Speaker 12 (34:42):
Last time we talked to you.
Speaker 9 (34:43):
A big part of conversation.
Speaker 13 (34:45):
Is about tchase and future. I'm happy are you that
that is all figured out? If you're happy n your
seable future?
Speaker 4 (34:55):
Yeah, as when you can reward guys that do it
the right way. We're really hard to.
Speaker 11 (35:01):
To go out and play great on Sundays and and
do play great weekend and week out. So it's great
to have them for the next four years. I'll be
here too, So we got the core here and that's
that's exciting.
Speaker 13 (35:14):
How how much do you think your comments? And we
almost always said helblently, but if you had conversations behind
the scenes, like how much weight do you feel like.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
You had in in Bote have?
Speaker 11 (35:26):
No, I don't know, I don't know. I I hope
not a lot, you know. I think when you have
two guys like that that, like I said, you know
you draft, they played great for you. We win a
lot of games. They're very productive. Those are guys that you.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Want to reward and I'm glad they're here.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Why are you hoping to luck?
Speaker 4 (35:49):
That's not really the position I wanna be in. It's
fixtating the biggest change. I don't I'm not sure I'm
changing too much.
Speaker 11 (36:06):
You know, just like every year, you're trying to get bigger, stronger, faster,
refine things where you can refine them. You know, that's
kind of my process every year. You know, I've I've
had injuries that kind of change your off season mindset
a little bit. This year, I don't have any of those.
That's great, So I can you know, focus on getting
(36:26):
better all around and become a more well rounded player.
Speaker 14 (36:35):
Twelves you're trying to get ready.
Speaker 4 (36:37):
There's always more you can do.
Speaker 11 (36:39):
You know, if I played even better, then we wouldn't
have been in that spot that that we were in.
So I'm just focused on trying to get better myself,
and you know, I know everybody in the locker room
it feels the same way.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
So if I go out there and play, hold on,
I'm staying.
Speaker 11 (36:59):
If I go out there and play better than I
did last year, then it doesn't matter what goes on
everywhere else. Okay, your turn, Hobbs, try to get better.
You know the stats. Stats are gonna fluctuate year in
and year out. Maybe I have a better statistical year,
(37:21):
maybe I don't. I'm not really too worried about that.
But try to come out and win games. Do what
I can to win games, be better as a quarterback
and as a player.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
And I think that's attainable.
Speaker 11 (37:32):
And uh, that's the the goal. The milestone year in
a year out is just try to get better. You
can get better everywhere. It doesn't matter how good you
were in any area. There's always a room to to
be better in certain spots, certain aspects of the game.
So I'm excited about that opportunity.
Speaker 4 (37:52):
An afterthought at this point.
Speaker 11 (37:54):
You know, it's just like with any ligament injury. It's
it's gonna take a while to come back. It's better
this time of the year than it was last last
time at the same time. So just constant improvement, and
that is He's gonna do me good.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
It's a different side of the ball. But what's the
legacy now.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
They return now? Yeah, it's it's good to see al
you know.
Speaker 11 (38:16):
It's Uh, I haven't been in those meetings and and
I'm not entirely sure you know that that's probably a
better question for for defensive guys. But I know I
have a lot of trust in Al and for my
short time with him early in my career, I know
he takes it seriously. I know, Uh, he's a really
good coach. So it's it's good to have him a
(38:37):
couple of years ago.
Speaker 9 (38:38):
And he asked you about them, undersaid if you were
potentially doing quarterbacks, since you must talk to you Catholics
when we say you're being quarterback in summer, what was
your reason behind wanting to do that this time around?
Speaker 7 (38:49):
Uh huh.
Speaker 4 (38:51):
Caught me on the wrong on the right day, I guess.
Speaker 11 (38:53):
But you know, I think it's gonna be I think
it's gonna be good entertainment, not necessarily earlier this season
that I wanted to.
Speaker 4 (39:03):
To have in that spotlight.
Speaker 11 (39:05):
But you know, I think a big part was Peyton
being involved in it too. You know, I have a
lot of respect for him obviously, and what he did
does is as a person.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
Uh So.
Speaker 11 (39:23):
If that guy reaches out to you and and ask
you to do something, then you know, most of the
time I'm gonna say yeah, and you watched a bunch Yeah,
I've watched it first several episodes, get my input?
Speaker 15 (39:35):
What what's the what's you try to try to sell
the more that what's the bigest fine for a design.
Speaker 16 (39:40):
Or the long side or they're gonna really well and
trusted a lot to get launched?
Speaker 14 (39:43):
What that would you be attached to?
Speaker 4 (39:45):
What's the biggest selling points to say?
Speaker 5 (39:46):
This is watch it?
Speaker 11 (39:47):
That I think would be good for me, just that
the only positive things could could come out of it.
You know he's gonna protect protect me, protect our team,
protect the organization. You know, I have trust in in
him for for saying that and trust that he's going
to do that. So uh, I would probably wouldn't have
(40:08):
done it if he if he wasn't involved, But I
have a lot of trust and faith in him too.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
To not do anything that would that would hurt me
or the team.
Speaker 6 (40:16):
What did you think of.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
Pretty good? I guess that's for you guys to decide
when it comes out. I don't know.
Speaker 11 (40:26):
I probably won't watch it when it comes out, but
hopefully you guys like it.
Speaker 17 (40:31):
Is it more entertaining than a documentary on Jeff Popson?
Speaker 4 (40:37):
I sure hope.
Speaker 8 (40:38):
So.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Just you're you're a very.
Speaker 17 (40:41):
Private You're a private person, I'm like to keep it
close to the best. But doing this documentary and then
break in last December, what was it like going through
that while knowing.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
The campers for Falling?
Speaker 11 (40:56):
Yeah, that was definitely a curve ball that I didn't
quite expect throughout the whole process. But the people involved
in it working on it on the day to day
were were great and uh weren't weren't too intrusive, So uh,
you know, I worked with some good people for that.
Speaker 18 (41:18):
They get those sign A lot probably think he's gould
happen that you'd advocate you doing.
Speaker 7 (41:24):
What does that say you?
Speaker 19 (41:27):
How much it invested that?
Speaker 20 (41:28):
Would you like?
Speaker 10 (41:30):
Would that say great?
Speaker 14 (41:31):
We watch something that attitude.
Speaker 4 (41:33):
I just think it says they're invested in winning.
Speaker 11 (41:35):
I think they want to reward guys that they draft
that come in and play great. I think that's a
recipe for success, and.
Speaker 21 (41:46):
It's obvious a lot of us kind of actuates to the.
Speaker 19 (41:49):
Last get the partici.
Speaker 11 (41:51):
Yeah, well we'll see what happens with that. You know,
you guys all know how I feel about Trey. He's
a great player. I love Trey as a guy. He
goes out and plays well every single Sunday he's very productive.
He's a he's a guy that deserves to to get
paid and get paid what he wants and what the
market is. So you know, like I said, we'll see
what happens with that, but you know, I love I
(42:13):
love Trey and hope he's with us.
Speaker 4 (42:15):
Did you get a tax to face time when they
sign that you find out I was here? I was
here the day they signed.
Speaker 11 (42:23):
I think Jamar texted me first and then t followed
up a little bit a little bit after, but that
was a.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
I think I was.
Speaker 11 (42:31):
I think I was in Miami for that. I think
I was at Sam's Sam Howbard's bachelor party when I
got that text. So that was a nice, nice little treat.
Speaker 19 (42:39):
You can give you one piece of advice that mister
Morris Stewart as he.
Speaker 4 (42:43):
Approaches a rookie year or with what show.
Speaker 11 (42:47):
Just work hard, develop a routine, find the people that
are gonna help facilitate your success, have the right people
around you, go out and make plays, play really hard,
understand your your job. Everything that I've seen from him
and our short time together so far has been very positive.
He's always got got some energy in his face, comes
(43:13):
in ready to work. So you know, obviously we'll see
what happens in the season, but I got a lot
of faith in him.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
What do you get the schedule go?
Speaker 11 (43:24):
Hmmm, you know, playing in Baltimore for the fourth straight
prime time year isn't ideal. Maybe we could get one
of those in Cincinnati next year, please, Maybe an international
game next year too.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
You know, I think, you know, part.
Speaker 11 (43:44):
Of the reason I wanted to do the Quarterback Show,
I wanted to help grow the game internationally, and so
to not have a stage like that is a little
disappointing because, you know, I feel like I've consciously worked
hard to try to grow the game internationally over the
last eighteen.
Speaker 4 (44:03):
Months or so.
Speaker 11 (44:04):
So hopefully at some point in my career we can
we can go over there that you should.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
The person or how much? Yeah, I'd love to. I'd
love to.
Speaker 11 (44:17):
That's an exciting opportunity. I think I'm not entirely sure
how that would work out with training camp and all
of our obligations here.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
You know, that's it's not my forte, but that's something
that I would like to do for sure.
Speaker 7 (44:33):
I believe.
Speaker 19 (44:36):
One NFL players the country would you like to see
that people like one of the other oh really.
Speaker 11 (44:46):
Players, Well, I guess it. I guess it just depends
on how if they want to how much they want
to grow the game. I think the more NFL players
that you have on the roster of the more people
are gonna want to tune in and watch. And so
I think, I guess that's a decision that that they
have to make.
Speaker 4 (45:05):
But I'd love to to see all of our guys
out there.
Speaker 12 (45:07):
Yeah, tell one of the biggest storylines or about this
team that thinks this season is going to be about
the start and and how you guys play on month
of September. Zach talked a lot about at the end
of the season that that being a a big point
of that thishyis for this organization.
Speaker 13 (45:22):
From what you've seen, I know you've only been back
here for a month, but.
Speaker 9 (45:26):
Have you noticed any changes and have you.
Speaker 13 (45:28):
Met with him to go over how you guys could
potentially other than playing more in the preseason, maybe make
some tweaks. I can help you guys in the month
of September.
Speaker 11 (45:37):
Just doing everything you can to be more prepared. I
guess you know, I don't. We're running more as a team.
You know this this time of year is about about
the same. I would say we're working a little harder
in the weight room and and running. Uh, but at
the end of the day, we just have to go
on and play better.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Early in the year.
Speaker 11 (45:57):
Now you can come up with all these different things
to try to make that happen. I think playing in
preseason games will will help. We haven't had those discussions yet,
but based on the little bit that we have, I imagine
we'll be playing more and I think that'll help.
Speaker 4 (46:17):
But we'll see.
Speaker 11 (46:18):
I think at the end of the day, we just
have to take some ownership and come out of the
gates and execute and play better.
Speaker 4 (46:25):
Joe, you tend to get up.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
And I'm curious, what is the process like of doing that?
Asking to go? And why are you so?
Speaker 6 (46:34):
Why are you drawn and.
Speaker 4 (46:35):
Wanting to go? Bad some new experience. It was fun.
Speaker 11 (46:40):
About five minutes of taking pictures and then it's just
a little dinner party.
Speaker 4 (46:45):
So it was good people, good vibes. I was happy
that I was able to to go. Maybe we'll go again.
I don't know, we'll see how we'll play.
Speaker 11 (46:55):
By your Paris, is there something about that been particularly
drawn do that kind of to spend.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
Time, or there's tons of places you could spend your
off season time, and why they've bened oft places like that, it's.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
Kind of, you know, been something for you.
Speaker 6 (47:09):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 4 (47:13):
I would say the.
Speaker 11 (47:16):
You know, the media all around the event is a
little exhausting, but once you're actually there, it's just, uh
it's very private and that's uh hard for me to
come by these days.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
So the more opportunities that I can try to.
Speaker 11 (47:38):
Have a normal dinner party, a normal dinner, be around
people that don't really don't know, don't care, just around
good people. Uh, the more opportunities I'm gonna take.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
A little rains, like before you go back to college,
little bit.
Speaker 19 (47:55):
M would last graduated, Yeah, how do you feel like,
how do you like that would have affected develop.
Speaker 4 (48:03):
Cash or who knows? Who knows? Hopefully I would have
gotten on the field.
Speaker 11 (48:10):
Earlier, but I also progressed as a player at Ohio
State rapidly got better and better and better just in practice.
Who knows if who knows how it would have played
out otherwise you can you can play that game all day,
but you change one thing or here and there, you
(48:31):
never know what kind of effects that's gonna have.
Speaker 4 (48:33):
So who knows.
Speaker 15 (48:38):
In that spot trying to make that decision because it
wasn't really an option for you can kind of had
to deal with that, you kind of build it as much.
Speaker 4 (48:46):
No, I think I think the more choices and opportunities
that you have, the better.
Speaker 22 (48:52):
No.
Speaker 11 (48:53):
Obviously that comes with its downsides, just like anything in life.
The more you have, the more decisions that you're and
have to make, and the where you're gonna have to
to weigh those opportunities.
Speaker 4 (49:05):
But you know, I think in the long run, it's
it's probably better.
Speaker 3 (49:10):
We know that Trey, especially in an off season with
the uncertainty around it.
Speaker 11 (49:15):
And the day and you guys here and there, here
and there early in the off season quite a bit,
you know, lately, not quite as much. He was here
last week obviously, as you guys know, that was an
exciting day, and you know, it was great to see him.
Speaker 4 (49:33):
He came in and brought good energy. He was happy
to see everybody, And like I said, I love Trey.
I love seeing Trey.
Speaker 11 (49:40):
He's one of the most unique people I've ever been
around or met, and I love that about him, and
I think that's what makes him a great player.
Speaker 4 (49:48):
So he brings a unique energy that I'm always excited
to see one or two less cameras on you. Yeah, definitely, definitely.
Speaker 23 (49:58):
Is always in the rotation of actually going to you know,
past the drills, any observations of Germanie and see tries
to better se and season.
Speaker 4 (50:07):
I think he's stepped up this year so far. He's
taking it very seriously.
Speaker 3 (50:13):
Matured.
Speaker 4 (50:13):
It seems like that's exciting to see.
Speaker 11 (50:15):
I know, based on the conversations that we have have had,
he's he's in a good spot mentally and physically, and
he's been working hard, so that's exciting to see.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
With that.
Speaker 14 (50:24):
On the UH Stadium situation, we see how much is that?
Speaker 11 (50:31):
I mean, I saw it, I'm not entirely sure. I
haven't had any other discussions about it than what you
guys know, so I don't.
Speaker 4 (50:39):
I'm not. I don't really know what's going on with that.
Speaker 7 (50:43):
I as back to.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
See how that all closed albums have.
Speaker 4 (50:50):
How much you pros of stuff? Right now, I don't,
there's nothing really to pay attention to. I don't think.
Speaker 11 (50:57):
You know, as that deadline comes comes closer, I'm sure
they're If something's not done, there'll probably be more discussions
to be had, but right now nothing you fighting for his.
Speaker 3 (51:06):
Little media session last week, he's said in that about.
Speaker 24 (51:09):
How he's point out very differently that person marching.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
How what are your faults on how he's being so
called about his personal lego he.
Speaker 4 (51:19):
Basing that.
Speaker 11 (51:20):
I think he's doing what he thinks his best for
for his career, and I support him in that. You know,
I trains a smart guy, just like anybody.
Speaker 25 (51:31):
You know.
Speaker 11 (51:32):
I'm sure there's things that he'd like to have back,
but he's very well thought out in his process and
what he's trying to do. And so, uh, if he
thinks that's the way to go, then that's the way
to go.
Speaker 4 (51:44):
How do you feel physically? Uh, She's like every year
there's a martive.
Speaker 3 (51:49):
Is there any in any think last year is the body?
Speaker 7 (51:52):
Like getting the body? But did you do anything this year?
Speaker 4 (51:54):
Speak that you do that or how do you feel?
Speaker 7 (51:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (51:58):
I feel great. This is the best that I've felt
in the offseason.
Speaker 11 (52:04):
Yeah, just like every year, trying to get better, trying
to get stronger, faster, healthier, try to find ways that
you can optimize your health throughout the whole season, not
maybe not hurt as much.
Speaker 4 (52:20):
So I'm in a good spot.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
All right.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
So that is most of Joe Burrows press conference. Obviously
that is still going on.
Speaker 3 (52:28):
That was all of it. He just walked off. How
about that? How about that? Have a good time, whole
thing in good timing. We got it all in. Let's
take a break.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Now we got a break, we'll come back. We'll react
to what Joe said, and Zach Taylor's gonna take the
podium soon as well. Let's go since he three to
sixty thanks the Skyline Chili on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station.
Speaker 1 (52:47):
Sponsored in part by Cinci Shirts Cincy Shirts all since
e all day. This is ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (52:56):
All right, welcome back to hour two.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Thanks to since he show. It's uh, we're not done yet, obviously,
Joe Burrow just got done speaking to the media. We'll
recap everything that Joe had to say as we get
to our three. We're gonna kick that off with Joe Daneman.
But before we get to that, we also have Zach
Taylor at the podium at pay Course Stadium speaking to
the media right now.
Speaker 14 (53:18):
No nodeate yet. He's done a great job of the meetings.
Speaker 8 (53:27):
On trade.
Speaker 14 (53:28):
No date on track, I talk to Track.
Speaker 4 (53:36):
You know what he had to say about you.
Speaker 7 (53:44):
For him or.
Speaker 21 (53:46):
I put a lot of time into thinking, you know,
those situations there's real money at stake, so I put
a lot of time and energy into thinking about how
to communicate when you communicate.
Speaker 6 (53:54):
And so.
Speaker 14 (53:57):
That's just how I handled that one. And then yeah,
Train and I spoken.
Speaker 4 (54:01):
Is that your decision to handle?
Speaker 14 (54:03):
Yes, yes, we'll see.
Speaker 4 (54:15):
Distracting it all.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Having player be doing an interview on all practice going
along with.
Speaker 21 (54:19):
Ye, No, I mean that that's it was. It was
good to see him, good to have in town. Practice
are really wrapped up, you know for the most part.
So I don't have any issue with that.
Speaker 16 (54:28):
Is just going through similar situations like would you more
last year again, any hollow parent in the lay or
how player.
Speaker 21 (54:36):
Go over any I think every situation is unique, you know.
And so again it's uh, every personality is different, every
player is different. Ever, the timing of everything's different, and
so you just you just adapt as you go with
that stuff.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Okay, I'm stuck.
Speaker 7 (54:48):
Uh.
Speaker 23 (54:49):
I was talking a little about you know, fast start.
You said it's not a fast Uh, it's how do
you get off.
Speaker 14 (54:55):
With the fast side?
Speaker 23 (54:56):
He said, he thinks you've done a good job with
how you're structure the things that it's kind of how
do you need kind of how kind of coach?
Speaker 21 (55:04):
Yeah, we've talked about as a team, you know what
that actually means, not just saying the term fast start.
I won't get into it all of it here. You know,
some of the stuff will just keep for our team meetings,
But I do think you've got to be specific with
what our approach will be going forward training camp, season,
some things that we've identified that we think we can
improve at in ways to you know, start the season
(55:26):
off on the right foot in terms of go ahead, James,
And then I'll come back to you.
Speaker 3 (55:32):
On your standpoint how important to trade on the issue?
Speaker 21 (55:38):
I mean, he's an elite rusher. You know, he's in
a great job in this league for for a long
time and since he's been here, and so obviously he's
a valuable part of our team in.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Terms of that intense stage or a trade camp.
Speaker 4 (55:48):
Could that mean maybe.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
One or two more joint work as part.
Speaker 14 (55:52):
Of what you've done last season, No, not necessarily.
Speaker 21 (55:55):
I think the one thing I do feel good about
is playing our guys more in the preseason that that's
always subject to change depending on health and how things
go with our team during training camp. But but that's
one thing that we've openly talked about with our players
and I think we will will help us as we
do it, and so they know that we've talked about
that and we'll go from there, not anticipating that.
Speaker 3 (56:20):
Like running the Olympics.
Speaker 2 (56:23):
Other hand, coaches can make the professional sports, they had
any feelings on their players going out and be at
the international.
Speaker 3 (56:29):
Level, Where would you stand on that?
Speaker 21 (56:31):
I'd say it's too early for me to have a
quote on that. I think that's a few years away. So, uh,
that's a future exact problem, I think. And and so again, well,
I think there's gonna be a lot that will transpire
from now over the next two three years, and you
can circle back in two three years.
Speaker 14 (56:44):
I'll have a better answer for you.
Speaker 4 (56:46):
So what does Joe do for ancles? Joe do for
an encore Joe Burrow?
Speaker 3 (56:52):
What does it do for an encore?
Speaker 4 (56:53):
This year, the year, the type of year.
Speaker 21 (56:55):
Well, I think that's that's the standard, you know, is
to play at the level that he's played at and
you know, continue to help grow the team as a leader.
That's that's something you know, he's he's part of the
onboarding process with a lot of our new players, a
lot of our veteran players. He's obviously an enormous part
of this team. And so him getting those guys up
(57:16):
to speed so that they can help us win, that's
part of the process that he's a part of. And
he's always embraced that and and I've always been proud
of how he's accepted that role.
Speaker 14 (57:26):
Progress good.
Speaker 21 (57:27):
You know, it's off season programs, not a time that
we're gonna rush through anything. So although it's unfortunate he's
not out there right now is getting some young guys
some really valuable reps. He's still there in a leadership role.
He's still there in the meetings. He's shown up every
single day. So from a timing standpoint on when something
like this is gonna happen, you know, it's it's it's unfortunate,
(57:48):
but we'll work through it with him. Any campers all,
I hate to I hate to throw stuff like that
out there, but I think it's more short term than
long term.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
For sure has dreamed or started to rebuild some trust.
Speaker 21 (58:01):
All we can handle is the present right now. And
I think he's done a good job of that this offseason.
He's been in the building, seen in the building out
outside of work hours, you know, doing his own thing,
rehaving preh having, I should say, just keeping his body right.
And and so again he's he's attacked every practice and
meeting the right way, and that's what he can control
right now. And so that's w I appreciate that from treument.
Speaker 3 (58:24):
Class out.
Speaker 19 (58:26):
Yeah, I know we all heard that draft and I
just taught an these guys and you can share it
up for a few weeks.
Speaker 21 (58:33):
Yeah, they're they're impressive. It's an impressive group as a whole,
whether you're talking about the six draft picks and the
undrafted guys, I think from top to bottom it's a
class that you feel really good about. Now there's been
no adversity that's come at them at this point, you know,
no pads on, no eleven on eleven, no games.
Speaker 14 (58:50):
Or anything like that. But they can control that.
Speaker 21 (58:53):
All they can control is what their attitude has been
and their ability to take in the information and giving
them their effort on the field and in the weight room.
And and so far, so good on all those guys.
Speaker 9 (59:04):
With the leadership defense, how I'm sure.
Speaker 4 (59:08):
You and seeing how that plays out.
Speaker 21 (59:10):
This very you know, and it's there's some things we
talk to the team about there. There's a lot of open,
uh open roles we had, whether whether you're talking about
you know, roles as a first second und player, a
three down starter, a guy that brings energy to the team,
a guy that brings leadership to the team, uh, through
through work ethic, through voicing it through just nonverbal There's
(59:32):
a lot of different styles of roles that are available
right now. And I think as I look at the defense,
I see a lot of guys very capable. A lot
of guys have held those roles, a lot of guys
are capable of holding those roles, a lot of guys
I'm excited about to see who can embrace those who
can step up and lead that way and and so
that that part is really fun for me right now
in the offseason program. Over the course of the summer,
as we get into the pass and training camp, things
(59:53):
get a more difficult, very excited to.
Speaker 14 (59:56):
See how all that plays out. Who's that Yeah, he's.
Speaker 21 (01:00:06):
Officially well, there's certainly a financial relief that comes with that,
but in terms of how Tea has worked, whether he
was he was you know, at the end of his
contract or not. He he's always That's something I've always
appreciated about Tea. I've always known what we're going to
get out of him. The team has always known that.
He's always worked his tail off and been present, and
(01:00:29):
so I'm just happy that. Obviously, with the contract becomes
that financial relief, but then there's also the new pressure
of you got a contract, and so now you gotta
you gotta perform that way. And in my expectation for
him is what it's always been, is that we're going
to get the best out of team.
Speaker 24 (01:00:42):
You guys, do you feel good?
Speaker 16 (01:00:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 21 (01:00:51):
We we reward the way guys, you know, and so
I always feel good about the guys that we reward,
and there's there's many reasons that we do that, you know.
It's it's always fun. I think to start with the
divisional game and end with the divisional game. Obviously the
same team. We did that a couple of years ago
(01:01:12):
with them, so you know, I'm I'm I'm excited.
Speaker 6 (01:01:15):
You know.
Speaker 21 (01:01:15):
We got some good home games, a couple of road
primetime games. I love playing primetime. The travel part is
what gets you there on the back end of those games,
you know, for the next week. So you always appreciate
the more home primetime games you can get, which you know,
for whatever reason, the last couple of years hasn't gone
our way. But but we're a team I think that's
embraced that environment. You look at our primetime record last year,
(01:01:39):
you know we can we can always go and defeated
your goal to do that, but our guys have always
handled those games really well. And and it's it's you know,
it's you don't can't take for granted being put in
those games, you know, in front of the whole world.
And I know, obviously we'd love to host some divisional
primetime games, but I think playing on Thanksgiving night in
(01:01:59):
a standalone game with the whole world watching, sitting on
the couch is really exciting. It's why you're in this business,
not only win championships, but you get a chance to
perform in front of everybody that watches football is going
to be watching those games, and so I'm really excited
about those things.
Speaker 24 (01:02:13):
Thanks, you feel help playing in Baltimore.
Speaker 21 (01:02:16):
Yeah, there's nothing I can control about that right now. Obviously,
we we'd love to host some divisional primetime games at
some point. You know, we get Pittsburgh this year, so
that's exciting and and you know, over time, I'm sure
that we'll took back in our favor.
Speaker 13 (01:02:29):
So we had a chance to talk to Geno about that,
the process of you know, astitute of pay cutting and what.
Speaker 2 (01:02:35):
That conversation was like for them an architect into.
Speaker 13 (01:02:38):
Tail with us why that was the case. But for
the safety room, do you feel said there or is
that a position where you know, in the next couple.
Speaker 9 (01:02:45):
Of months you can see yourself adding.
Speaker 21 (01:02:47):
A more just from the numbers, I'm excited about how
that group shaping out for us right now. The guys
that I've been here that are continued to grow, and
for Gino, year two in our system, you know, it's
it's obviously our systems evolving right now without but just
year two in our building and understanding what our expectations
are has been great. Jordan's continued to grow. We got
good depth fighting and growing behind those guys, some young
(01:03:08):
second year, third year players that are ready to take
that next step. And so I think as a whole,
Jordan Kovacs has done a really good job helping those
guys improve and setting the expectations, and so we'll continue
see how.
Speaker 6 (01:03:19):
They work.
Speaker 25 (01:03:22):
Coming into an off season.
Speaker 21 (01:03:23):
What's the value of having them, It's it's good because
obviously he sets the tone for the group. You know,
when you're starting quarterbacks out there and present getting the
reps you know with the receivers and the chemistry and
the cadence with the offensive line and the exchanges with
the backs and all that chemistry stuff. It's it's always
critical that that your quarterbacks out there, and so Joe's
(01:03:45):
Joe's out there has helped us alot.
Speaker 6 (01:03:48):
Today.
Speaker 3 (01:03:49):
What he has kids said, is they wise? And how
is this year for him to show what?
Speaker 21 (01:03:55):
Yeah, I'm excited for for him to have a great
training camp obviously and create a role for himself in
our system. That's why we brought him here and and
he's shown flashes have been able to do that. Now
there's just a consistency of standing on the field and
he's continued to work through that. I think, you know
today he felt good. He felt felt good going into
today and I haven't talked to him after practice, but
we'll just continue to work through.
Speaker 6 (01:04:16):
That with him. With a little over months since everyone
came back insability, But what do you see how the
defensive unit under out, you know, as they're learning to
see and his label.
Speaker 21 (01:04:26):
What's happening hunger and urgency would be tours that I
see from that group. They're really eating up with those
coaches are giving them. You know, when you sit in
those those unit meetings and you look at the pre
practice work and all the stuff that they're getting as
a unit going through practice, it's a very hungry group.
And and I can tell that they're buying in to
everything that all and those position coaches are are given
(01:04:49):
to them.
Speaker 14 (01:04:49):
They're eating it up.
Speaker 21 (01:04:50):
They're prepared every single day like it's it's really extraordinary
to watch how much those guys have really looked at
their iPads and looked at the installs, and they show
up of the day and they're prepared or so when
it's when it's installed there the step I had, those
players are and so that gives me comfort seeing that
hunger to learn from from all of our guys, veterans
and young guys. All's done a great job setting the
(01:05:10):
standard in that room, and the position coaches a followed suit,
and so I'm really excited about the direction that that
group's heading in.
Speaker 17 (01:05:16):
I know you don't have OPA until next week, but
with what you've seen from now is installing everything where
he plays with.
Speaker 21 (01:05:23):
The level of retention and yes, yeah, and and again
there will be times as we get three more installs
in here where you know, we'll get a chance to
review with the guys and let it all sink in.
But they're retaining it as best they can right now.
And you know, I've been pleased with the progressive Sewan.
(01:05:47):
It's always good to be out there physically in the field.
Speaker 9 (01:05:49):
You know.
Speaker 21 (01:05:49):
Mentally is one thing, and he's doing that. He's in
the meetings, he's studying, he's been great about all that,
and and then the physical thing. You just don't want
to fall too far behind. You know, every week that
passes and can be different, and you want to set
yourself up success. And we expect a great year from Shamar,
and so part of that will just be getting up
to speed when he does get on the field.
Speaker 4 (01:06:08):
That's a coach to do. You have to fund on
this someone that I guess you want on the other
way to go through that process.
Speaker 21 (01:06:14):
It's not difficult for me, you know, it's it's part
of the business and part of what you just have
to adjust to every single year, and and just just
part of the process for.
Speaker 14 (01:06:21):
Us that it is hard to not I mean, I've
you've been.
Speaker 7 (01:06:25):
Doing this so long.
Speaker 13 (01:06:25):
I guess you're probably used to it, but to not
to get personal against the player or the front office.
You kind of stuck in the middle because obviously you
want all your players to be available at the same time,
but you also understand the business side of things that
you just kind of have to leave the whole personal.
Speaker 9 (01:06:40):
Side out of it.
Speaker 14 (01:06:41):
I do not take it personally.
Speaker 17 (01:06:43):
Yeah, class question with with a lot when you come
back from the aquilities and the reason where is he?
Speaker 6 (01:06:49):
Where is he at?
Speaker 21 (01:06:50):
And that's a possible you can practice drink we'll see
again too early, too early to make that declaration, but
seemingly progressing well and on the paces we would assume.
Speaker 14 (01:07:01):
But I don't want to give him a timeline on
his return yet zero exactly.
Speaker 7 (01:07:08):
That's more.
Speaker 21 (01:07:10):
I just got o the things I gotta worry about. Yeah,
if they want to involve me and and the negotiations
that I'm here, but I don't think that they plan
on doing that anytime soon. I went to four different colleges, right,
and so I don't know that they're looking at me
to hammer all that stuff home for him.
Speaker 26 (01:07:28):
Last year, you spent more time to spain defensive meetings
this time of year, but pitch, yeah, more ownership.
Speaker 3 (01:07:33):
Is there something that you are doing a little differently
this time of year in order to kind of get
a little bit.
Speaker 21 (01:07:38):
Better view of a different part of the team or
different angle taking similar you know, similar with the defense.
I'd like to sit in there and listen to these
guys as they talk and learn and learn myself as well.
The ware meetings are staggers are separate, so so defense
goes at one time, offense goes. So you get a
chance to be in both. But pitches do a great
job driving it. I think what pitches an exception job
(01:08:00):
of is giving ownership to all the other position coaches
and assistant position coaches and giving them something specifically for
them to become a master at and present front of
the unit. And we've got just what reiterates for me
is when I see our coaches get up there and present,
we just we have such an outstanding group of coaches,
(01:08:20):
future coordinators, future head coaches. These guys knocking out of
the park, and when you give them something to do,
it doesn't matter if it's if it's perceived to be
their strong suit or not. They figure out how to
make it a strong suit for them and they do
a great job presenting to where everybody learns and just
really impressed with the job all those guys do. And
that starts with pitch. You know, pitches on a good
job setting a tone in that room and please with it.
(01:08:42):
We've done a lot more, you know, we have a
team meeting every day now. We haven't always done that
in the past, and that's more a chance for me
to get up and kind of give the message of
what we're trying to focus on right now, but also
at the same time, get to know your teammates more.
We're asking more of our players to get up there
and present on some things to show their teammates what
they're capable of, and just get to know those guys
(01:09:02):
a little bit better.
Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
So that is as Zach Taylor is speaking to the
media at pay Corpse Stadium right now, we're gonna we're
gonna talk to Joe Danim at two o'clock and kind
of recap everything from Joe and Jamar. But it's it's interesting,
you know, Austin that that that last question, Zach is
talking about the tone that's being set. I think one
of the things that jumped off to me over that
(01:09:25):
portion of Zach Taylor was the tone of Zach Taylor.
If you listen to Zach Taylor in the past, especially
early in that press conference with the Trey Hendrickson questions,
that was a tone in Zach Taylor that I don't
think we've gotten very much in his tenure as a
Cincinnati Bengal head coach.
Speaker 3 (01:09:42):
I'm not trying to read too much into a press
conference on May the twentieth, but the word I would
use to describe Zach as terse like he kind of
looks sick of this. Yeah, he seems a little bit angry.
I don't blame him. He also just had his name
(01:10:04):
kind of thrown under the bus by a star player, yeah,
a week ago. They're also still, you know, being berated
with questions in off season activities when there's not that
much going on and they're in a temporary press conference room,
and you know, I'm sure there's plenty of reasons why,
(01:10:24):
but I think I was watching this and looking at
Zach thinking, this dude seems kind of fed up.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
Yeah, which is unique because it's not like we've heard
from him a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
You know, that was the first time hearing from Zach
Taylor since or from Joe Burrow since the season ended. Yeah,
and it just that felt like a Zach Taylor that
is on like the third straight day of being asked
to speak in front of the media.
Speaker 3 (01:10:49):
Also looks like a Zach Taylor who might be on
a mission. Yeah, take that as well. I mean hunger
urgency on defense. If every single day you're trying to
do your job, but something is happening that is distracting
you or pulling you away from doing the best you
can do, and there is pressure on you to succeed
(01:11:12):
at your job and stuff that you don't really have
any control over is taking away from that. And it's
been this way for three or four years. Now, wouldn't
you be kind of pissed?
Speaker 18 (01:11:24):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
I would be, as much as he can say. Now,
he's got to do distractions aren't there?
Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
You know they are? Now he's got to deal with
a freaking rookie who has a slotted contract, who is
not practicing, and his star defensive end threw him under
the bus. Yeah, and last year his star wide receiver
kind of threw him under the bus. And none of
it is Zach's fault, right, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:11:49):
And he's he's got bj Hill on defense who can't go.
He's got a new defensive coordinator trying to install a
new system. You can tell he has no interest in
talking about anything regarding the stadium lease at all for
the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 3 (01:12:01):
I give Ben credit. Ben asked you questions nobody else
wants to ask. You know, you gotta ask him even
when you know the answer is not going to be great. Yeah,
he did.
Speaker 2 (01:12:10):
I will, we'll dive into all of that. I think
that the Joe Burrow we didn't really get into and
we will. In our three on Trey Hendrickson, the quote was,
we'll see what happens with that. You know how I
feel about Trey. He's a guy who deserves to get
paid and get paid what he wants and what the
market says he deserves. Those were Joe Burrow's words on
(01:12:31):
Trey Hendrickson. Zach Taylor didn't give much of an update
on Trey Hendrickson. But all of this stuff that we

Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Approaches to.
Speaker 23 (01:13:48):
See you here makes me so glad.
Speaker 19 (01:13:53):
I love you, Tony, and I just want.
Speaker 23 (01:13:57):
To say.
Speaker 6 (01:13:59):
Pike is my.
Speaker 18 (01:14:02):
Favorite play and Big Steve says that wait just a.
Speaker 19 (01:14:06):
Minute, that.
Speaker 3 (01:14:13):
You know. To Big Steve's credit, at least he did
say it wasn't him.
Speaker 24 (01:14:16):
Oh my gosh, hello, this is former President Ronald Reagan
and oa Ella. I was thinking the other day, wouldn't
it be neat if Pete Rose had recorded an induction
speech in the event that he posthumously were to be
inducted into the Hall of Fame. I know I've done it.
I've already recorded my induction speech in the event that
(01:14:38):
I don't live long enough to see myself inducted into
the Talkback Hall of Fame.
Speaker 3 (01:14:43):
Oh okay, interesting man, that's ideas. I yeah, yeah, Ring
of Honor voting started.
Speaker 7 (01:14:52):
Congratulations, Will we be?
Speaker 3 (01:14:54):
Cincinnati is so proud of you.
Speaker 5 (01:14:57):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
What a difference a couple of weeks make, and you
make the most of it. I hope you can keep
it up. I hope you found your your niche. But
it's so nice to see a good kind guy win
the National League Player of the Week.
Speaker 8 (01:15:13):
You earned it, you deserve it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:14):
We love you, and just keep it up.
Speaker 7 (01:15:18):
We're rooting for or will he be?
Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Love you will Beamon?
Speaker 4 (01:15:23):
Are you still bashing the Reds for an office? Or
you on board with him this week?
Speaker 7 (01:15:30):
Never know what you guys? Right?
Speaker 3 (01:15:32):
Yeah, I'm still bashing the front office.
Speaker 27 (01:15:34):
Yeah, hi, guys, I hope you had a great weekend.
First of all, my heart goes out to the fence
in Kentucky. I hope you stay safe down there today and.
Speaker 3 (01:15:47):
And help is on the way.
Speaker 27 (01:15:49):
I know there's been a lot of people helping.
Speaker 7 (01:15:50):
So that's great.
Speaker 27 (01:15:52):
One shadow, he's never been as big as he thought
he was. Once again, money giving out, big money given
out out, lack of performance. So hey, you get what
you get there, you go?
Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
Okay, okay, little concerned about Stuart.
Speaker 7 (01:16:12):
Like to have him hit the ground running. Maybe I'll
go Joe Flaco flag football. Oh a decoy.
Speaker 8 (01:16:21):
I feel bad for the pigeon, man, but I don't
think the hit or had any mia copa.
Speaker 7 (01:16:26):
You know, maybe he's in a better place.
Speaker 17 (01:16:29):
Kyle Schwarver had three hundred last night Middletown, Jerry Lucas,
Chris Carter Man.
Speaker 3 (01:16:36):
Man, that's a list. I mean, that's a pretty good
mount rushmore of something, right, what a list?
Speaker 5 (01:16:42):
Hey, Peppy, Patty, you just wanted to say happy fiftieth
birthday to Jeff and New Richmond. Oh yeah, congratulations, I
should say to Kate in Montgomery on your new granddaughter.
Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
That's such great news.
Speaker 5 (01:16:57):
Rip Pigeon because I'm assuming that he passed.
Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Away and go Reds. Even with Zach and Joe talking
to it, seems like the pigeon is the lead. Yeah,
and understandably, so.
Speaker 25 (01:17:09):
Hey, Austin and Tony, this is Steve down here in Parkland, Florida.
I still love listening to you guys listen to every day.
I just want to put my two cents in on
flag football question. Actually, can we can they have NFL
players like ex NFL players play retired players?
Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Could we have o Jo Cinco playing? Can we have
Carson Palmer winging the ball around? I don't know.
Speaker 25 (01:17:34):
I've imagined a bunch of those guys would love to
get back out there one more time.
Speaker 3 (01:17:38):
It's late. Derek Carr just retired. Interesting, you know, I
see what you're saying there, Steve. That makes a lot
of sense. Jerry Rice could probably still play.
Speaker 7 (01:17:47):
All right.
Speaker 28 (01:17:47):
So I'm assuming this is a seven on seven situation
and that they play both sides of the ball.
Speaker 4 (01:17:52):
So here's my list.
Speaker 28 (01:17:53):
Lamar Jackson obviously the most athletic quarterback in the NFL.
Needm on defense too, Jamar and Justin Jefferson are you're outside?
Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
We already established you can only have one are American?
Speaker 18 (01:18:04):
Are?
Speaker 3 (01:18:07):
Based off what you read to me, listen to this.
Speaker 2 (01:18:10):
As far as the teams go, it is one player
per NFL team, per country, per country, one NFL player
per team per country. So is that like one player
from the Browns, one player from the Bengals per US.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
So you're saying you couldn't do So what you're trying
to say is there couldn't be two Bengals of a
US team.
Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
Yes, okay, but you could get one player from the
Ravens one player from the Steelers.
Speaker 3 (01:18:38):
Okay. I see what you're saying. I interpreted it as
only one American, one NFL player can be on the
United States national team and the French national team and
so on. Let's double check on that. I need to
double checks. A very good chance that I'm wrong, but
that was my understanding of the rule. But you know,
(01:18:59):
for he was going to say Jamar and Justin Jefferson,
Ceedee Lamb, Marvin Harrison Jr. Uh and then he had
Micah Parsons on his list as well, which is a
very strong team.
Speaker 23 (01:19:12):
It's god, Hello Dynamic Duo Sports Talk Radio.
Speaker 7 (01:19:16):
Hi, the Reds are on what you call a heater.
Speaker 25 (01:19:20):
Let's keep on keeping on Reds lego.
Speaker 20 (01:19:24):
There it is.
Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
That's the messaging we need for this this squad. That
was impressive stuff.
Speaker 29 (01:19:32):
Oh Austin Tony breaking news on Rally pigeon this just
In the Reds issued a statement stating that they thought
they had a deal with the Pigeons and that Pigeon
did not hold up.
Speaker 15 (01:19:46):
It's end of the deal, but they will do everything
they can to save Rally Pigeon. Red's team doctor said
it's going to be costly indifficult, but the special tiny
instruments arrived just in time.
Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Thank you. Imagine he's doctor Krimchek working on the pigeon.
Speaker 18 (01:20:04):
Tony Austin, Johnny from our healthy here, I haven't talked
since the schedule got released. I'm pretty excited. Uh Thanksgiving
in the Bengals. Couldn't ask for a better thing, honestly,
Yet we're all ticked off. It's not at home, but
like com on my favorite holiday and get to watch
the Bengals at the end. I'm so excited. I'll be drunk,
but I'm excited. Also, if Brad from the ba Evan
(01:20:28):
from even Dale, and Sam from Simmons Township we're all
in the same room, how many people would be there?
Speaker 3 (01:20:33):
Oh, no, one knows.
Speaker 22 (01:20:35):
That's great.
Speaker 3 (01:20:36):
Never seen him in the room at the same time.
That's a terrific question, Johnny. I think you probably know
the answer.
Speaker 26 (01:20:41):
To always repping in Natty I here, Tony, what up?
Speaker 7 (01:20:45):
Addy?
Speaker 8 (01:20:46):
Yo?
Speaker 3 (01:20:46):
Zach didn't look happy to me.
Speaker 26 (01:20:48):
His face was expressions like he was just tied it
and you know what mess?
Speaker 7 (01:20:51):
It is?
Speaker 3 (01:20:51):
What it is? Coach on coach, you better get off
some good start.
Speaker 26 (01:20:55):
Heed Ben Joe is back the generals in charge, dude said,
hold on, I'm still practicing, y'all. Wait a second, I'll
be there. That's what I'm talking about. Bro, Let's get
that ring. My fire rids are hot, six in a row.
Let's get it.
Speaker 3 (01:21:07):
No Paul Skins, Yah mean means a sweet come on,
let's go. No Paul Skans. Yeah, I mean, I see
what you're doing there.
Speaker 20 (01:21:16):
The Olympic flag football rules are that each country can
only have one player from each individual NF to NFL team.
There it is the USA could have Joe Burrow at quarterback,
and they could have Chador Sanders as a backup quarterback,
but they couldn't have Joe Burrow and Jake Browning.
Speaker 3 (01:21:35):
Hopefully that makes sense. Yeah, yeah, I got what you're saying. Now,
that's not how it was explained it. Yeah, I'm I'm
willing to take the l on this. Okay, that's my fault.
Got some bad information baby did you.
Speaker 10 (01:21:50):
Guys, Jeff and you Richmond. First of all, thanks Peppy
Patty for the birthday wishes. Greatly appreciate it. Austin, Tony,
I am probably going to head to Oakley Greens tonight
for dinner. So if you guys have any recommendations for
appetizers or andres my way, I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
You guys take care, enjoy the dinner. I love the sliders. Yeah,
they have gosh what it's like a it's like a
California Burger or a West Coast Burger slider excellent that
I had the last time we were there, and it
was delicious.
Speaker 19 (01:22:26):
That would be my recommendation, Tedy, Austin, Jack and Colechell.
Give me my Mount Rushmore of Something number one. We
got the King Graffy swing Man logo. That logo is elite.
Send me count Chocula. Best seasonal cereal in the game
can be Modern Warfare two from the Xbox. Yes, og
Modern Warfare two. And then lastly, I'm just taking Bob Seeger.
(01:22:50):
Anything by that man that's hilarious.
Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Mount Rushmore of Something a good Mount Rushmore. Great job.
Speaker 20 (01:22:58):
Jack.
Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
Oh.
Speaker 20 (01:23:02):
Update on the Pigeon Red's medical staff says the pigeon
will be out for two to three weeks.
Speaker 23 (01:23:08):
Oh, so we all know what that means.
Speaker 3 (01:23:10):
He's done that pitcheon passed away man, alright, pe to
the pitch. Good, all right, that was our last one.
That's good.
Speaker 2 (01:23:18):
Uh, we got to get a break in um somehow,
some way making the clock work with back to back Preston.
Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
This is austin Omore master. It's a masterclass time. I
might be screwing up the Olympic flag football rules, but
I got the rest.
Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
I still got the clock. Well, we still got Joe
Daniman joining us at two o'clock as well. We got
an injury reporting more and next sincey three to sixty

The Bengals have a stretch this season where they will
play five games in five weeks against teams that made
the playoffs last season. One of those games will be
an historic lambeau Field in Week six, when the Bengals
tangle with the Packers. Green Bay is coming off an
eleven win season, and only two NFC teams last season
allowed fewer points per game, and there weren't many offenses
(01:24:20):
as balanced. Adding to this game's intrigue, Bengals offseason edition, TJ.
Slayton will be playing against his former team. Joe Burrow
will make his lambeau Field debut when the Bengals play
the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday, October twelfth.

Push him back because of the Joe Burrow and Zach
Taylor pressers will join us at the top of our

number two. Before we get any further along here Austin,
it is time for today's Postman Law Injury Report delivered
by Postman Law Injured Postman Delivers. We've got some major
updates here Austin. Yesterday we updated that Rhett Louder is
now with Triple A Louisville. We talked about Noelve Marte
(01:26:31):
getting a MRI moved up a week because the team's
medical staff is pleased with his progress. Cam Collier, with
a thumb injury, is in the midst of hitting progression.
It appears on track to be activated from high aid
Dayton from their sixty day injured list at some point
in June. Oh Carson Spires of Terry Francona said that
(01:26:52):
Spiers began a throwing progression Saturday at the team's spring
training facility in Arizona. Hunter Green, how about this?
Speaker 3 (01:27:01):
Go? Hunter Green?
Speaker 2 (01:27:03):
Not Chase Petty is on track to return from the
fifteen day injured list to start on Friday versus the
Chicago Cubs, also for Austin's birthday bash at the ballpark.
Speaker 3 (01:27:14):
That's all I wanted for my birthday was a chance
to see Hunter Green pitch, and it looks like we're
gonna have that on Friday night.
Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
Oh, by the way, Jake Frayley, Yeah, I forgot about it. Yeah,
he's ready for activation from the ten day injured list
as next week, according to Charlie Goldsmith. Okay, that's your
Postman Law injury report delivered by Postman Law Injured call
eight four four Postman, did.
Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
You double check? Is there any update on the pitge? Nothing? Nothing,
No pigeon related activities nothing yet? Okay? All right? Who
spot does Jake Fraley take? I don't know that he
takes one? Interesting Austin wins finally gets dfaed. When's the
last time he played? Great question, like actually started a game.
(01:28:03):
When's the last time? Yeah, I mean not many been
before Stevenson. Obviously, there are not.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Many players that have started, uh sixteen games and hitting
nearly four hundred that don't get any reps.
Speaker 3 (01:28:12):
It's pretty amazing.
Speaker 2 (01:28:14):
Yeah, it's uh, it's even more amazing when you look
at Tyler Stevenson has now struck out at least once
in ten straight games.
Speaker 3 (01:28:22):
Would they send Reese Hines back down? I would assume
it's a good question because it's not like Freyley provides
you any power. Hines is at least a power threat,
and he could hit against left handers right Freyley cannot
do that. But you also have the power right handed
power threat in Austin Hayes, who's been in the lineup
(01:28:43):
more consistently. Connor Joe is right handed, William Beaman Benson.
He you got a better chance of me getting called
up than Benson getting sent down.
Speaker 2 (01:28:52):
Man, And who knows when when Jamer comes back, how
this roster really comes together?
Speaker 3 (01:28:56):
You know, the Dodgers dat a third basement next year.
Oh see, if we you fleece them for a couple
of prospects. Send er out there. I'm not mad at it.
They would never I'm not mad at it. Mentioned they're desperate.
They could use some veteran leadership in that locker room
and jasper spark desperately.
Speaker 2 (01:29:16):
Uh, the Pittsburgh Pirates. As we mentioned what I said, yes,
can provide that spark, provides a spark. Yes, that's pretty funny. Well,
you know we've seen this all the time in sports.
Someone goes to a new team, new faces, new opportunities,
and then they just tear it up. That's what would
happen with Jamer ken Laar. You know what good for
him mentioned earlier in the show. The reds Pirates game tonight,
(01:29:40):
h Nick Martinez is on the mound going up against
the Pirates team that has scored four runs or fewer
in twenty four straight appearances. It's pretty amazing, twenty four
straight games in a row. One of those in that
twenty four game stretch was a one nothing lost to
the Phillies in which Paul Skeins went a complete game,
(01:30:04):
one hundred and two pitches and only allowed a run
with nine strikeouts and got the loss. Crazy, I can't
even imagine what they're going through with Pittsburgh and Paul Skeins.
Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
Going up against a left hander tonight in Bailey Falter.
How about this Santiago Espinal, TJ. Friedel, Spencer Steer, and
Tyler Stevenson each have homered off of Bailey Falter in
their careers. Stevenson has homeward twice off of him. Stevens
is hitting five thirty three and fifteen career at bats
(01:30:37):
against Bailey Falter. Spencer Steer's hitting Spencer Steers seven for
fourteen in his career against Bailey Falter, Santiago Espinal four
for eight, So they've had some success up against against
this guy. Nick Martinez has given up a couple of
homers to Pirates hitters, including one to Brian Rental Reynolds.
But it's about all. Not a ton of success for
(01:30:59):
the Buckos against Nick Martinez in his career. Have you
seen the.
Speaker 2 (01:31:05):
Rumblings as it pertains to Paul Skins, I have that
they may move him before his rookie deal is done.
They're nowhere near being competitive right and they have a
owner who will not do anything to get competitive, and
(01:31:26):
they will not. They will not be able to sign
him to a second deal.
Speaker 3 (01:31:30):
No, I think he's already one foot out the door,
like he's so disgusted with the way that organization is run,
and you can just see it that, like he can't
wait to get out of there.
Speaker 2 (01:31:40):
So, if you were the Pirates, you could probably reach
out to a team and say, give us your like
top four prospects in your system, probably, and we'll give
you Paul Skins. Yeah, and then maybe you can revamp
and work that way if you're the Pittsburgh Pirates. But
at this point, you're wasting one of the best arms
in baseball. It does in a report I'm reading that
(01:32:04):
the Dodgers would be an early favorite in that.
Speaker 3 (01:32:06):
They are they aren't costing him in their mind because
he sells tickets and merchandise for them. Sure, so again,
when when you have a franchise that cares more about
the bottom line than the wins and losses, and that's
who Pittsburgh is, that's pretty much what happens. Wouldn't it
be annoying?
Speaker 7 (01:32:23):
Though?
Speaker 3 (01:32:23):
If the Cubs got him, they're one of the three
teams listed on this report, Yeah, it would be. Although
that's another organization who has refused to pay their best players,
but a very deep farm system. Kyle Tucker, you know,
I think the Braves are an interesting team too. I've
seen a couple of potential trades that you know, would
involve Drake Baldwin, who had a walk off against the
Red Sees, the Braves number one prospect and basically a
(01:32:45):
major league ready catcher. Yeah, as a potential guy. I mean,
the Pirates already have a young catcher that's already up
to the big leagues. But yeah, I mean those teams
would deep farm systems, right, they certainly could could.
Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Give you a chance. Yeah, gives you a chance. Joe
Danniman's a pay course stadium. He was listening to Zach Taylor.
He was listening to Joe Burrow. He will join us
next on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station to kick
off hour number three of Cincy three to sixty.
Speaker 1 (01:33:13):
At Penn State three sixty about Cincinnati from Cincinnatis.

Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Welcome back.
Speaker 2 (01:33:36):
It is the third and final hour of the Tuesday
edition of Cincy three to sixty thanks to Penn Station.
Let's get right into it. We have the opportunity on
Tuesdays at one o'clock to talk to Joe Daneman. We
had Joe Burrow, we had Zach Taylor speaking today, so
Joe got moved back to two, which works perfectly because
Joe was there as Zach and Joe were both talking,
and he joins us right now, Joey.
Speaker 3 (01:33:57):
D what's going on.
Speaker 6 (01:34:00):
Up and funny? Yes, so of everything I do. And
I texted this to Austin last week, and I think
about now our expanded sports department, our bigger footprint on
the Bengals with our flagship partnership. We're now showing Reds
games on Fox nineteen. Now we had a partnership with
(01:34:20):
the Big East at being on Fox. Whenever anybody stops
and asks me anything about my job anymore, they ask
me about my appearance on SINCY three sixty on Tuesdays
with Tony and Austin, which I think is awestome. I
think that's great, and I'm glad that they come up
(01:34:41):
to me and talk to me about that, because I
take it seriously. I get prepared every week for this
twenty minute discussion, and we have a lot to talk
about today, so I'll stop hijacking the segment.
Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
First of all, that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
And second of all, if you could relay that to
our bosses, that would be yes. Absolutely.
Speaker 6 (01:34:59):
Next time you see, I know your bosses, so I
can do that very easily.
Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
Let's start, because we heard from Joe Burrow first, and
you know he went all over the map with primetime games,
with an international game, with flag football, with the Netflix
documentary getting off to a faster start. He talked about
Trey Hendrickson and what from a Joe Burrow standpoint stood
out to you the most in the time where he
spoke today.
Speaker 6 (01:35:27):
I thought it very interesting because this is the first
time we've seen Joe Burrow since the end of the season,
and if you think back to last season, the version
of Joe we got at press conferences, whether they were
midweek or after games, was oftentimes a guy who was frustrated, stressed, angered,
whatever the word is that would describe what last season
(01:35:48):
was and how well he played and how poorly his
team sometime performed and not making the playoffs. So to
get a refreshed Joe Burrow, one who was willing to
really talk about anything today and really reveal a lot
about his off season, especially going to the met Gala
and now talking about some of the episodes he's seen
(01:36:09):
of the upcoming Quarterback series on Netflix. It was just
refreshing to see Joe look refresh. And I've often said
this about Joe Burrow, and we've talked about it on
this show, that when you get to this point in
his career and look he said today, he's still working
on getting better and the great ones. No matter what
it is, your job is, you're always trying to up
(01:36:32):
your game, add to your bag, whatever it is. And
he's trying to do that. And I think if you
go look at some of the videos I posted today
on Twitter, you can find some of the things he
is working on here at Bengals practice in the off season.
But I find that this calmness to Joe Burrow, that
when he's at this level, now that he's at the
height of his powers, I've often equated it to Luke Skywalker.
(01:36:55):
It almost feels like neo and the matrix when he
finally gets it whenever has clicked, and he understands his
power in his place and his influence. And there's this confidence,
in this calmness to him that he brought to the
podium today, And it was good to see that again
after what he experienced last year of playing great football,
(01:37:18):
having his best statistical career or a year of his career,
but the team not performing the way he wanted to.
So to me, all of the questions and all of
the answers and this hodgepodge of different topics we hit
Joe Burrow with to see him again just look refreshed.
I thought was refreshing for us and what we do.
But I'm sure also for Cincinnati Bengals fans.
Speaker 2 (01:37:40):
What did you make in particular what he's had to
say about Trey Hendrickson that's obviously dominated the news in
the last week or so. Anything that Joe Burrow said,
do you takeing away of him putting any pressure on
the front office or just what you would expect any
good teammate to say about another player.
Speaker 3 (01:37:57):
On the team.
Speaker 6 (01:37:59):
I think more of that of just being a good teammate,
of what anybody would say in this situation. I found
it interesting that he spoke at such length at times
about Jamar and t and spoke at such lengths at
times in the offseason and about them, and also lumped
in Trey Henderson. He was very brief in what he
said about Trey today. I think it was only a
(01:38:19):
twenty to twenty five second sound bye, but him saying
he should be paid what he deserves and get paid
what he wants, and that's what the market is for
his position, and certainly the numbers that he puts off.
It was short, sweet, but I think a point that
Joe Burrow wanted to make for a teammate that he respects.
There's no doubt listening to Joe Burrow today, listening to
(01:38:41):
Joe Burrow last season talk about it, listening to Joe
Burrow in the offseason talk about it, there's a lot
of respect for Joe, for Trey Hendrickson and what he
brings to the team. Joe understands, and I think anybody
who was at practice today, but when you see the
Bengals line up and their number one defensive line today
and understand that DJ Hills in a walking boot and
(01:39:01):
Shamar Stewart isn't signed, and Trey Hendrickson we don't know
what his future is. When you see a starting defensive
line of Joseph Osai, Chris Jenkins, TJ. Slayton, and Miles Murphy,
you understand the urgency of having a guy with Trey
Henderson's talent being back on the field and being lined
(01:39:22):
up with those guys that just doesn't look formidable. But again,
they're going to add guys in. Shamar is going to
be here, Bjy's going to be ready. We don't know
about Trey, but I think Joe understands the value. And
I think Joe also set a bit of a tone
to at the beginning when he said he hoped he
didn't have a lot of influence over these decisions, because
I don't think he wants to be looked at as
(01:39:43):
a guy who has to oftentimes or all the time
go to back for teammates. And I also think he
wants to be the kind of guy who has a
front office who understands value, who understands the value of
players like t and Jamar and doesn't need to hear
that from his quarterback for them to sign them and
keep them long term. So I think Joe sent a
couple of messages today, the overwhelming one being that he
(01:40:05):
doesn't want to be a part of this in the future,
but also understanding he wants Trey. But I think in
the back of Joe's mind he understands that team's in
a bit of a pickle here with Tray Henderson going forward.
Speaker 3 (01:40:16):
I'm glad you said that, because to me, that was
the biggest takeaway. That was probably the biggest message sent
in the way that he said it, like I don't
want to be involved in this, and that can maybe
be sent to Trey as in, don't count on me
for everything, and also sent to the organization as if
to say, I shouldn't have to.
Speaker 6 (01:40:33):
Do this for you.
Speaker 3 (01:40:34):
When you heard the numbers that were that came out
the other day, twenty eight million, what was your reaction
to that In terms of the number that Trey has
apparently been offered according to Pro Football.
Speaker 6 (01:40:46):
Talk, I think it's probably a number that my reaction
is this Austin is it's not going to be a
number he likes, but it's probably the number that's accurate
to be offered considering what he's supposed to make this
season and the quote unquote promises that he was given
last year. If he performed at a level going forward,
(01:41:09):
and he did, he would out led the league in sacks,
and that the Bengals made promises. That's certainly a bump.
That's a boost, and that checks the box to me
of a realistic bump in pay, but also protecting the
future of whatever this team wants to do financially going forward.
They can't break the banquet that there's just not enough
(01:41:30):
there for this team. And I know people will say, look,
they've got all this money to spend. Just because they
have the money to spend doesn't mean they're going to
spend it. It's just how they work, it's how they
do things. I thought it was fair. I think that's
a fair number for Trey Hendrickson. Whether or not he
would come to that number or come back to that
number remains to be seen. But considering what he's supposed
(01:41:52):
to make and the rhetoric of what happened on the
field last week and the scene he made, and I
think we can call it what it was, it was
a scene here at pay Course Stadium, I think that
number's fair. I think that would check the box of
the team coming through on their promise of taking care
of him if he performed at a certain level. And
he did, and so when I saw the number of
(01:42:14):
my first reaction was, I think that's fair, but I
don't think Trey's going to accept it.
Speaker 2 (01:42:19):
One more thing on Joe Burrow. We often talked last
year about the transition that Joe Burrow is making because
there were so many leaders on the team the year
before that he didn't have to be really the vocal guy,
and now all of a sudden, it's your team. You're
the guy everyone's looking to you. And I think that
took some time to get adjusting to to Joe Burrow.
And you heard a little bit of that today. He
(01:42:40):
mentioned going to the met gal and he said he
enjoyed it because, you know, he just kind of gets
to be himself. You could tell that he still loves
that part of just being out to be himself. But
when he's talking about international and growing the game and
the leadership mentality and what he wants to be, do
you sense that he's just much more comfortable now in
(01:43:00):
the role of being that for this organization.
Speaker 6 (01:43:04):
I mean, you rewind two years ago, Tony he said
he would never do the Quarterback series on Netflix. Yes,
And here we are in May of twenty twenty five,
and he's going to debut as one of the stars
when it hit Netflix in a couple of months in July.
And I know he spoke to the influence that Peyton
Manning had on this, and that Peyton Manning is one
of the executive producers, spoke to him and said, look,
(01:43:26):
we're not going to harm you or the team in
any way, and Joe took his word at it, and
I believe Joe. I believe Joe and saying that Peyton
Manning was a big influence on this. But no matter
who the influence is, this is still Joe stepping out
of a comfort zone, right and doing something like this
that he said two years ago he wouldn't do. Now.
(01:43:47):
We asked a little bit about the idea of the
logistics of what it looked like, and he said it
was no different than Hard Knocks. In fact, Zach Taylor
said after the fact that I don't think anybody on
the team realized that the Netflix series was being shot
on Joe. They just thought it was more Hard Knox.
Cameras just following around the quarterbacks. So they weren't invasive.
(01:44:08):
There was a promise that they would do Joe right
in this series. And I think it's interesting too, going
back to your idea of leadership of us, maybe getting
a closer look of what that looks like on a
daily basis during this series, because when we were asking
just what does this look like? What is this highlight?
Why did you want to do it? And Zach Taylor
(01:44:29):
also echoed, this is getting an understanding of what these
guys have to do on a weekly basis to get
themselves and to get their team in the best position
to play winning football on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, whatever day
they played that week. So I think it's interesting that
you're seeing a guy who you know, went to Paris,
(01:44:49):
went to the met Gala, did the Netflix show, and
this is all coming while right his privacy was disrupted
with his health being broken into and you can see
anybody that would might go into a show if something
like that happens, Joe hasn't done that, and we've seen
him step out a little bit out of his box
that he said he wouldn't do just a couple of
(01:45:09):
years ago. So I find it interesting. Look, I think
fans of the organization and fans of Joe Burrow have
an insatiable appetite to learn more about this guy, for
a connection on somebody that they follow on a daily basis,
they cheer for every time he plays, and I think
Joe opening a small window into what makes him pick,
(01:45:31):
even if it's just football, in this Quarterback series, I
think it's important for him, and I think it's important
for fans of Joe Burrow just to get a deeper
look at everything this guy does to be successful on Sundays,
because I think it might wow people when they see
Joe Burrow at work on a series like this coming
up on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (01:45:51):
As far as it pertains to Zach Taylor and his
meeting with the media today, from just a tone standpoint,
I think Austin used the term urse it felt terse
from a statement from from Zach Taylor. Did you get
a sense of that. Did it feel like I don't
want to say perturb but when he was up there,
especially early talking about Trey Hendrickson, Yeah, did it did
(01:46:14):
it feel different coming from Zach?
Speaker 6 (01:46:17):
Yeah, that's it. I think the beginning felt different just
because and look, you go into a situation like that
when you're a head coach of a football team in
the NFL. You you understand what what's going to be
asked of you, especially right off the top. And so
there were a lot of questions about Trey, very short answers. Certainly,
(01:46:37):
we all wanted to know more about the text message,
and Zach said, you know that that's just kind of
his process. I did find it interesting, and you know,
it's one of those things that did you believe him
or is he just taking the grenade for the organization
that he said that the text came from him and
that it wasn't anybody else's idea, But he just wanted
(01:46:57):
to be upfront with Trey about the money, about the
possible fines, and we'll see if he's here at mandatory
mini camp. But he did double down and say it
was his decision to send that text message. But outside
of the Trey Hendrickson situation and the Trey Hendrickson questions,
I thought it was normal Zach. Certainly, there's been a
lot of talk about the faster start, and you can't
(01:47:19):
go any session anywhere, right, You go all the way
back to the combine, you go to the practice fields,
you go to press conferences, everybody's going to be asking
about these fast starts, and certainly there's a little bit
more information now with us having the schedule in front
of us and knowing that it's Cleveland, and knowing that
it's Jacksonville, and knowing that it's Minnesota weeks one, two,
(01:47:41):
and three. By the way, I'm going to car, guys,
and we're getting rained on.
Speaker 20 (01:47:46):
You.
Speaker 3 (01:47:46):
If it sounds to me, are you doing a live
drive for nineteen right now?
Speaker 6 (01:47:51):
I amn't a storm tracker, but I'm outside of the
stadium because I have live shots coming up here in
a couple of hours. It's going to do my editing
here in the car before I out and do some TV.
I think gets too loud with the loud range of
toler at me and I'll scream louder. But I thought
Zach was his normal self and outside of the Trey
Hendrickson stuff, and we keep asking questions about fast starts
(01:48:12):
and what can be different. I would love someone to
give us just a little bit more of the blueprint
of what's going to be different here in the offseason
and training camp and going forward. Zach talked about it today,
Joe talked about it today, the idea that these guys
might play more in the preseason. That stuff's not hashed out,
it's not finalized just yet, but we don't have a
(01:48:33):
lot of the blueprint of what's going to be different
or what is different right now for this team to
get off to a faster start. But to answer your question,
I thought Zach Yeah, was very terse at the beginning
with Trey Hendrickson stuff, even though he knew that was coming.
Outside of that, I thought it was normal day.
Speaker 3 (01:48:49):
You mentioned the scheduled. Does it seem like I mean,
Joe talked about it. Obviously, it's first time we guys
talked to him, But do you get the feeling the
Bengals are pretty pissed about the way the schedule of
worked out for them again having to go to Baltimore
on a Thursday night and for the fourth year in
a row in primetime.
Speaker 6 (01:49:08):
Yeah, I do, And how couldn't they be right? That's
it's a bit ridiculous that they're doing this for the
fourth year in a row, and for Joe Burrow to
single that one out when asked just generically about the schedule,
that's the first one he pointed to was that game,
and having to play there a fourth year in primetime
in a row. Zach Taylor's different, You know, Zach Taylor
(01:49:30):
typically tries to play the company line, tries to live
by the NFL shield, and says he accepts the challenge,
loves primetime road games, even he hinted that he's loved
to have some more at home because of how much
he feels energized by the home crowd on a primetime game.
But how could the Bengals not be at this point angered,
(01:49:53):
ticked off, whatever the word or phrase you want to
use for this of having to do it four years
And it's a bit ridiculous for this to happen like
this consecutively four times in a row. But it is
what it is, and the schedule is what it is.
And to me, it's not necessarily just about going to
Baltimore a fourth year in a row on a Thursday night.
(01:50:13):
It's that three game schedule late in the season of Baltimore,
Buffalo Baltimore that that feels even more ridiculous to me
than having to play in Baltimore a fourth consecutive year.
Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
We heard Zach use the words of hunger and urgency
when talking about Al Golden in this defense. Yeah, you
had practice today, Phase two underway, but not at practice
is bj Hill because of the foot injury. Trey Hendrickson
is obviously not there. And then there is just this
(01:50:46):
ongoing situation with Shamar Stewart. And I don't think I
don't think the Shamar Stewart thing is an issue right
now because I'm not worried that he's never gonna sign.
Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
He's going to sign.
Speaker 2 (01:50:56):
But when you look at what Al Golden is being
tasked to do, and to not have you mentioned the
defensive line that was out there today, how important is it?
And what is the hold up at this point to
get Shamarro out there? If nothing more than did you
get these reps on the field in such a crucial
part of the off season.
Speaker 6 (01:51:14):
Yeah, and to add to it, what's gonna happen with
Jermaine Pratt is the other question to ask two. And
then you look out there today and the starting linebackers
are Logan Wilson and Demetrious Night, And that's interesting. It's
just it's just different to see someone else running around
out there at that position other than Jermaine Pratt, who's
been running with Logan Wilson now for several years, and
(01:51:37):
and you go back to those buzzwords of hunger and urgency,
the great buzzwords, right, and everybody wants to hear those things.
But what about the tackling, you know, what about the speed,
what about the talent, and what about the chemistry, Because
that's the kind of stuff. Going back to Al Golden's
original press conference when he took the job here in Cincinnati,
and it was fun to hear him talk about, you know,
(01:51:58):
coming back home and and you know, and coming down
the highway and seeing the stadium and his eyes lighting
up and feeling like he's back home. But you know,
he also talked about the idea of again going back
to this fast start, and he mentioned how important it
was at opas and in each phase of guys understanding
(01:52:18):
that that's where the fast start begins. And there's a
lot of new parts. There are a lot of guys
who have to prove they can play in new roles.
And when you don't have DJ Hill and Shamar Stewart
and Trey Hendrickson and what's gonna happen with Jermaine Pratt
and you have new guys playing new positions on this field.
Chemistry matters, being around each other matters. You know, Shamar Stewart,
(01:52:43):
I can tell you I watched him closely today. He's
paying close attention to what's happening. He's he's right there,
he's asking questions, he's involved, but he's not doing anything physically.
And what's interesting is, you know, Jerry Montgomery's working with
these young guys like Miles Murphy and Joseph Osai and
are going through these reps and and it's rep after
rep after rep. And these guys got like five or
(01:53:04):
six reps in a row, which is unique. It's typically
one two and then they switch out and and but
these younger guys are getting a lot, and he's stopping
them after each rep and and coaching them on what
they did well, what they did wrong. And Shamar Stewart's
not getting that that that's not it's it's not good,
it's there's there's no other way to put it. Certainly,
(01:53:27):
I don't think it's gonna set Shamar Stewart back in
his career. The guy obviously still has everything he wants
to accomplish in front of him, but it's it's not
advantageous for this team for him to be in a
jersey watching from the sideline, taking mental reps instead of
physical reps, especially considering there are question marks about his production.
(01:53:47):
There's you can't run from that. That's just part of
his story as he enters his NFL debut in his
rookie season this coming year. So I don't think it's
you know, I don't want to make a mountain out
of such a small thing at this point. But these
these things do matter. They do add up for a
defense that has a new coach and a lot of
new parts and a lot of guys that they're counting
(01:54:08):
on to step up and be more productive at all
three levels of their defense. So yeah, hunger urgency, great,
But what about everything else? What about the chemistry and
what about the ability of these guys to go out
there and do it?
Speaker 2 (01:54:23):
Before I let you chase this this upcoming storm. The
Reds are on a five game winning streak. Will Benson
has been phenomenal. He's such a fun and easy guy
to root for from the outside. But being around this
team and in the way that you have been, does
that translate to the locker room as well? Is he
just a guy that that you want to root for
(01:54:43):
and and is the same guy you kind of get
to see when he's going through these stretches that make
you want to root for him.
Speaker 6 (01:54:49):
Did Austin put you up to this?
Speaker 23 (01:54:51):
No?
Speaker 6 (01:54:52):
I know he did.
Speaker 10 (01:54:53):
No.
Speaker 6 (01:54:53):
Well, I say that because I say that Tony in
Austin listening. I say that to be totally transparent, Austin.
I was sending Austin text messages this week about Will
Benson and how much of a skeptic I am, and
I don't think. I don't think it's wrong to be
skeptical of Will Benson at this point. Right, Like, we
saw what he did in twenty twenty three, and he
proved then that he deserved to go into twenty twenty
(01:55:15):
four with a role he thought with a pretty decent role.
But then we saw what he did last year, and
you saw this year why he deserved to be looked
at critically, and I understood why he didn't start the
season with the big league club. Then he gets to
call up, he strikes out four times and you almost
feel like, Okay, Will Benson's running out of chances here.
(01:55:37):
So I think to your original point about having a
guy to root for when you see someone who's who's
who's done everything right. He's done everything the right way.
Correct that he said everything right. He works hard, he
plays the game the right way. He went to the
minor leagues, he made adjustments, and now he's seeing success.
I don't care what if you like the team, if
(01:55:59):
you cover the t if you don't like the team,
if you can't be happy for someone who's been given
a challenge, who's maybe down to the last chance and
comes out and takes advantage of it. Man, check your
pulse kind of thing, right. So that's where I am
with Will Benson. I'm still skeptical of what he can do,
but good for him for going out and proving a
(01:56:20):
lot of people wrong, even if it's just for a
week or two. I would love to see Will smile
a little bit more. Even after Sunday, after his two
home run game and hitting five and four games, it
was like, this guy's trying to maintain this level of composure,
even though he's having the greatest week that he'll ever have,
or maybe anybody in that room will ever have, maybe
(01:56:41):
outside of Elie de la Cruz, and he's still just
not yet looking like he's ready to show the kind
of emotion that we would expect from Will Benson.
Speaker 24 (01:56:50):
And the guy like this to have.
Speaker 6 (01:56:51):
But good on him that there's a lot of doubters.
There's a lot of skeptics, and you can throw me
right in there with all of them. I'll be very
transparent about that. But this guy is taking what might
be his last chance and run with it. And good
on Will Benson for doing it.
Speaker 3 (01:57:05):
I did not put Tony out to that, but kudos
to you for a stepping up and being banned on
Business Business Joe, You're.
Speaker 2 (01:57:14):
The absolute best. What's coming up next on on Fox nineteen?
Speaker 3 (01:57:17):
Boss? Okay?
Speaker 6 (01:57:19):
Two things? We have the Red on Fox nineteen now tonight. Okay,
so the Reds are in Pittsburgh. You can watch the
game right there on Fox nineteen, don't have to move
the channel. And then starting Thursday, Charlie Goldsmith and I
will be debuting once a week a streaming podcast hybrid
that'll be on all of our streaming services that'll hit
(01:57:41):
on Thursday.
Speaker 18 (01:57:42):
Debut.
Speaker 6 (01:57:42):
We need a name, so if you can brainstorm and
name for myself and Charlie and our segment, holler at me.
Speaker 3 (01:57:49):
I'm easy to find love it.
Speaker 2 (01:57:50):
I'm guessing by the way I slid that in there.
You would rather be called Boston guy.
Speaker 6 (01:57:56):
Yes, always coffee fought, Okay, got.
Speaker 4 (01:57:59):
Is so bad, it's so bad.
Speaker 3 (01:58:02):
Just making sure. Will you guys be breaking down the
pigeon incident in your show?
Speaker 6 (01:58:07):
How good is that?
Speaker 3 (01:58:08):
Is the pigeon a lot? Has he been taking off support?
Speaker 6 (01:58:12):
I need I need to check in with Charlie here
and see if he's got the boots on the ground
for Fox nineteen in Pittsburgh to see if the pigeon
has made it.
Speaker 3 (01:58:21):
Oh, you're the best, Joe, Joe, thank you so much, man,
We appreciate you.
Speaker 6 (01:58:25):
Thanks the boys.
Speaker 3 (01:58:27):
There he is.
Speaker 2 (01:58:28):
I think we're losing the boss man, Joe Daneman, Fox nineteen. Uh,
what a way to kick off our three of Cincy
three sixty Thanks to Penn Station on ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 1 (01:58:39):
Now your chance to win ufout three sixty is back
on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (01:58:54):
Welcome back.
Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
Since he three sixty on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports
Station thanks to Penn Station. Show's flying by, show's flying by,
and this might be one of your all time I
mean producing jobs here.
Speaker 3 (01:59:11):
Thanks man.
Speaker 2 (01:59:11):
The fact that we've been able to get what twenty
five minutes of dynaman in Yeah, we got twenty plus
minutes of Burrow Yeah, fifteen or so is Zach Taylor?
Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
Yeah? Still got talkbacks yep. And a Postman Law injury
report and a Pigeon conversation. Pigeon conversation, and an update
on a Revive Fitnessystems dot com poll. Question is how
concerned are you about the Bengals negotiations with Edge Shamar Stewart.
Fifty seven and a half percent say they're not concerned. Dude,
(01:59:40):
it's May. Thirty and a half percent though they're starting
to get concerns, six and a half are already pretty concerned,
and five and a half percent say they're so concerned
they could puke.
Speaker 2 (01:59:51):
Man, it's tough. I want to puke. Incredible. I thought
Danaman's comments on the Shamar Stewart situation we're probably the
best way I've heard or been able to put it. Yet,
you know, no one, no one is sitting here today
(02:00:13):
thinking what if Shamar Stewart never signs with the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (02:00:15):
It's gonna get done.
Speaker 2 (02:00:17):
But the picture that Danaman painted of being out there
at practice and no bj Hill, no Trey Hendrickson, no
Shamar Stewart, no Jermaine Pratt. You start to quantify how
important every single rep is on this team and every
single day on the practice field, and to go into
(02:00:38):
detail as Joe did about Al Golden and other coaches
and how they're coaching on the fly and coaching during
these reps. Guess who's not getting that, Trey Hendrickson, Shamar Stewart.
Guess who's going to be relied on. You would think
mightily to turn this defense around Trey Hendrickson and Shamar Stewart.
So you know, to me, if we're posing that poll question,
(02:01:02):
I'm not I'm not concerned about the negotiations and where
they are because it is May, and so I agree
with fifty seven percent who voted in that way. But
I'm pretty concerned in the fact that he's missing part
of this phase two of the off season program, an
(02:01:24):
off season program which, by the way, while we've not
been given a lot of detail Austin, it's an off
season program that is drastically important because this team has
been hampered by slow starts for years and all of
those things combining together, in my opinion, don't make for
(02:01:46):
the best feeling around this defense, and maybe that as
well as a little bit of what you got from
Zach Taylor at the start of his press conference. Let's
take a break, let's come back. We'll put a bow
on everything we've done today, and then we'll bring in
oh Iager after that for quick hits on SINCY three
to sixty thanks to Penn Station on ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 1 (02:02:05):
Live baseball coverage three sixty continues on ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 2 (02:02:19):
Welcome back sincey three to sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (02:02:25):
Can I give you something to watch tonight other than
the Cincinnati Reds Indiana Fever?
Speaker 29 (02:02:30):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:02:31):
No, I wasn't going to say that, Minnesota, Oklahoma City. No, Oh,
I wasn't going to say that. What do you got?
The new Brett Farv documentary just dropped on Netflix. Yeah,
if you've paid any attention to the Untold series on Netflix,
they've done a great a bunch of great sports documentaries.
They did the Johnny Manziel Sure serious, Well, they're doing
(02:02:53):
one on Bert Farv aka Brett fhar Farvrei and the
story of him and his NFL career and how things
went south obviously with the Jets, to where he's at
now taking a bunch of money from poor people in Mississippi,
and the trailer for it looks unbelievably good, and I
(02:03:17):
think people kind of forget about the story of Brett
Favre and the fall from grace for one of the
great quarterbacks, the gunslinger of all time. So I'll be
tuning into that at some point, coming in a tough
Sport Nite for me. I mean, I'll tune into a little.
I'll see what Caitlyn Clark's got cooking, right. I want
to see the game one of the Western Conference. I
want to see what's going on with the Cincinnati Reds.
(02:03:38):
Can they make it six games in a row? What
I really want to know often is which Bengal player
would you want to see competing with Team USA and
the Olympics.
Speaker 5 (02:03:54):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (02:03:55):
Is it as simple as Joe Burray Joe Burrow? No,
probably like Ryan Rico. Ooh, I don't need to see
any of the big name guys play in the Olympics. Okay,
I mean I'm trying to think, so, I don't know
that we needed to. We've won like the last two
gold medals in flag football, like in the international competitions,
(02:04:15):
and we did that without NFL players, Okay, like men's
and women's flag football United States is like they've each
won gold medals like the last two times. I thought
it just became an Olympic sport. It did, but there's
like international competition still. Oh oh that you know you
can compete for gold medal like world championships and stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:04:35):
Yeah, that makes it even more fun. I mean, no
one was mad when the dream team just went and
beat everyone by sixty. What I want to know is, like,
you know, the NFL has been This is a grand conversation.
This is a big conversation for another day. The NFL
has has desperately been trying to grow the game internationally.
Burrow talked about that today, but they haven't been able
(02:04:58):
to do so. Like, yes, it's growing internationally, but NFL
Europe was a thing thirty years ago. The International series
started twenty years ago. That's crazy they think about They
have been active in countries overseas for the better part
of the last twenty or thirty years. And I don't
(02:05:21):
know if the goal was to just grow the game
of football and get a wider audience over there.
Speaker 3 (02:05:25):
And if so, then maybe they've accomplished that. And now
there are teams selling their rights in those different countries
and they're making money off that and they're profiting it.
Maybe that's all they wanted to do and they're continue
to do that. But also if it's about growing the game,
Baseball is completely global. Basketball is completely global, and it's
extremely popular in Europe, It's extremely popular in most of
the contents. Like, is there ever a path for the
(02:05:48):
NFL and for football itself to actually get to that point?
I don't know, because now, look, the NBA Draft happens,
and half the picks in the first round are from
guys overseas and and players that many people don't know
and haven't heard of. And yeah, there's international player pathways
that the NFL has created and has gotten people to
(02:06:10):
the league. But is it has it had the desired
effect to create a pipeline from Europe to the United
States in the National Football League And is that a
desired effect and can you reach that? And is the
Olympics part of that? I don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:06:30):
I just go back to flight football and trying to
think of like team Germany trotting out. You know, are
they playing cover three? Are they gonna go cover two?
What are they going to do against like Tyreek Hill,
Justin Jefferson and Jamar Chase. Sure, I think that I
just want to because I.
Speaker 3 (02:06:45):
Don't you would imagine there would have to be like
professional soccer players and.
Speaker 2 (02:06:48):
Yeah, but like for any sport, like even watching from
a distance, like you don't appreciate, like you've never went
to an NBA game or sat near the court of
MBA game, you don't.
Speaker 3 (02:06:57):
You don't appreciate the size and the speaks with football.
Speaker 2 (02:07:01):
Yeah, and I think there would be that at the
international level when you see these guys on a flag
football field, sure of just like what that's how they move,
That's how easy it looks, That's how fast they are.
I think that would be fascinating.
Speaker 3 (02:07:15):
The NFL on NFL Network will broadcast some of the
top flag football championships over the summer and it all
culminates in a big tournament in Canton, I believe at
the end of July, like right before the Hall of
Fame game. It's fascinating to watch, It's entertaining to watch
these youth, you know, different age groups come up playing
(02:07:35):
flag football and the plays and the system that they have.
I know that sheer athleticism is going to be the
ultimate factor, but I do think there'll be a little
bit of a learning curve for some of these NFL players.
Sure about you know, the style of play, the field
of play, the Olympic rules which you can and can't do,
you know, stuff like that. I'm fascinated on what the
(02:07:57):
end goal of grow the game really looks like and
how the Olympics can help you achieve that goal. I
would love to know the commissioner's answer to that.
Speaker 2 (02:08:06):
Moeger is next with quick hits on Sincy three to
sixty thanks to Penn Station on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station.
Speaker 1 (02:08:13):
Cincinnati in fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. It's time for
Cincy three sixty quick hits on ESPN fifteenth.
Speaker 4 (02:08:22):
Theyres looking for Mo.
Speaker 2 (02:08:23):
Moe's in the building. This is quick hits because we're
finishing up since he three to sixty. The Moegar Show
is next, Boy Mo between a five game Red's winning streak.
Joe Burrow and Zach Taylor speaking today, Shamar Stewart is
still not practicing and we are awaiting updates on if
the pigeon is still on life support or if the
(02:08:44):
pigeon has passed. But you can't help but think this
team will continue to rally around that. From pregame yesterday.
Speaker 3 (02:08:50):
We also have flag football in the Olympics.
Speaker 16 (02:08:52):
Oh yeah, the biggest no win situation ever for American
football players.
Speaker 3 (02:08:58):
So there's a lot going on. Yeah, we've got.
Speaker 16 (02:09:01):
Paul Danner Junior is going to join me insteadle I
have decided I am gonna start handling the rest of
my career the way Trey Hendrickson is handling his. I'm
gonna wonder what the Bengals you're trying to accomplish with
Shamar Stewart.
Speaker 3 (02:09:13):
We've got the Reds.
Speaker 16 (02:09:14):
Not a coincidence, guys, five games, one air, no base
running blunders, five wins.
Speaker 2 (02:09:21):
And I thought, overall, a good approach, like seven doubles,
Yeah in a game. I thought some of the best
at bats we've seen from some players.
Speaker 3 (02:09:27):
If you hit a lot of doubles, you're gonna win
a lot of games. Man. I don't know if that's
true or not, but it seems like it would be.
Speaker 2 (02:09:32):
And will Ben Benson going back to the Eric Davis
approach with his hands. With his hands, it seems it
seemed to fix everything. Yep, and now everyone is it's awesome.
But you know, one of the things that I think
is interesting about this team is they're twenty five and
twenty four. They're a game over five hundred. They've hung
in there. Ellie Dela Cruz hasn't gotten going yet. Matt
(02:09:54):
McClain certainly hasn't gotten going.
Speaker 16 (02:09:56):
If you are a believer that those two guys will
get going that, I think you're doing two things, One
wondering what's it going to happen? And two thinking, all right,
if this team has survived those guys being in Ellie's case,
kind of pedestrian and in Matt's case very underwhelming.
Speaker 3 (02:10:14):
If you believe that.
Speaker 16 (02:10:15):
Those guys are going to get going, I think you're
looking at things from a glass glass half full perspective. Wow, Yeah,
that's profound stuff for me, right, have full perspective.
Speaker 3 (02:10:27):
What did you make?
Speaker 2 (02:10:28):
And obviously you'll dive into everything that that Joe Burrow
and Zach Taylor had to say. Did you notice or
sense anything different in the tone in which Zach Taylor
was using at the pogram.
Speaker 16 (02:10:38):
When when Zach started talking about like quarterback and the
production of quarterbacks.
Speaker 3 (02:10:43):
Suddenly like he came to live. In the first five minutes,
he looked like he was in a hosted situation. Yeah, yeah,
he he looked like he was being held against his will.
Speaker 16 (02:10:52):
But like, I don't blame him because every year he
has to answer questions that what else does that he
has nothing to do with. I mean, every year he's
going to answer questions about Jesse Bates, about Jamar Jay,
He's about Look, I bet he is deep down and
not even deep down inside pissed at Trey Hendrickson because
(02:11:12):
that Dog and Pony show last week. Look, Zach is
really good at sort of publicly navigating all this. But
if you're a head coach of a team, number one,
you got your guy telling the world what you're texting
your player.
Speaker 6 (02:11:22):
Come on now.
Speaker 16 (02:11:23):
Number two, you're trying to conduct practice, and he diffused
it today and then he got your guy over here
grand standing. So I don't think Zach should. I understand
why everybody wants to hear from the head coach of
a team, but the head coach of a team isn't
negotiating contracts.
Speaker 3 (02:11:38):
He's also not negotiating anything with the stadium.
Speaker 2 (02:11:40):
No, we appreciate Ben for asking this the questions that
they both have nothing to do with stum.
Speaker 3 (02:11:50):
But like, you're right about that.
Speaker 16 (02:11:51):
At the same time, if nobody else is going to
make themselves available answers, I got to get an answer
from somebody from the Bengals on the stadium mission.
Speaker 2 (02:11:59):
You drafted this guy number seventeen. Any idea why with
the spots are slotted while he's still not practicing.
Speaker 3 (02:12:04):
It's a good question. You know, that stuff shouldn't have
to be I.
Speaker 16 (02:12:08):
Had a conversation this morning with a player agent about this,
who just said, look, the Bengals just do this stuff
because they can.
Speaker 3 (02:12:14):
Yeah, okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (02:12:16):
In an offseason where you got a new decordinator and
holes on defense, I'd like the guys to be out there.
I mean, Joe Danaman just joined us and said that
the coaches on the defensive side of the ball coaching
after every single play is like it stands out and
Schamar's not getting that, and to a point, Trey Hendrickson's
not getting that as well. But you drafted a guy
(02:12:38):
that was a little bit of a reach that has
some questions and now he's not getting any reps, and.
Speaker 16 (02:12:43):
I think we all acknowledge, like this is going to
get done right. Everybody will say like, look, this is
not a meg deal, it's made, this is going why
not just get it?
Speaker 3 (02:12:52):
Get it done now? Correct?
Speaker 16 (02:12:54):
Like would it take all that much to call Shamar
Stewart say hey, look at your agent on the phone,
and let's just finish this right so you could practice
today And you might say, well, him missing time in
Maine is not a big deal, and I believe that,
but just this just feels unnecessary. Like I understand both
sides with the Trey Hendrickson.
Speaker 3 (02:13:12):
Thing, I really do. But with with Schamar Stewart, what
are we doing?
Speaker 16 (02:13:16):
Why put yourself in a position where the prize of
the draft class is not on the field with his teammates.
Speaker 2 (02:13:23):
One thing I didn't bring up to you yesterday, but
I wanted to because of them getting underway tomorrow, the
job you see, Baseball's done this year and what back
to back thirty one seasons. By a lot of accounts,
they are a tournament team. Certainly if they win tomorrow
that would probably help them, even we're looking at baseball
bracketology about that. Yeah, I looked at a basketball one
today and you see is a seventh seat with an
(02:13:45):
upward row.
Speaker 16 (02:13:45):
We're gonna give you enough. We're gonna give you some.
John Rostein today on the Bearcats. John Rostein not mincing
words about Wes Miller and the expectations this season. Jordan
Bishell is a really fun guy to talk to, and
I am as guilt of it as anybody. But I'll
say this about Xavier, which is having a good season
as well. It's it's amazing to me that in a
(02:14:06):
town and I don't really know the answer here that
fancies itself as a big baseball town, ye, that loves
the two major universities in town. And we can apply
this to NKU as well, how relatively little interest there
is in college baseball.
Speaker 3 (02:14:22):
And I haven't been to Xavier to see a game.
Speaker 2 (02:14:25):
But it's not like it's a bad like product from
a stadium standpoint to go to a UC baseball.
Speaker 3 (02:14:28):
Game, No, not at all. It's awesome.
Speaker 16 (02:14:29):
And Hayden Field of Xavier is nice. No, the UC
baseball facility is really really nice. But you are right
for them in year two of the Big Twelve to
be trending toward making the NCAA tournament. Playing in the
Big twelve tournament this week is pretty cool. And if
they go to Omaha, Oh, you have to go. I'm
(02:14:50):
just telling you this. You have to I've this has
been my thing for years.
Speaker 3 (02:14:54):
Are you going?
Speaker 16 (02:14:56):
I'll have to cancel my vacation. Load Management JUNI, Load
Management June is coming up. Load Management May starts next week.
Speaker 4 (02:15:04):
I like this.
Speaker 6 (02:15:06):
Oh.
Speaker 16 (02:15:06):
On our current quest now is we're looking for a
place in Indy. I could do my show on Tuesday
because I don't think anybody works at iHeart Indy.
Speaker 3 (02:15:16):
No one's getting back. Huh No McAfee would let you use.
Speaker 16 (02:15:20):
Maybe I can't find the name of the person I'm
supposed to get a hold of and well put right now.
The market president just left for another job from today.
So if anybody knows anybody in Indianapolis who has an
ethernet connection where I could do the show next Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (02:15:36):
I do have some family over there, and like, I
just need like a house.
Speaker 16 (02:15:40):
I just need like a basement. I don't need I
don't need a big fancy setup. I just need a
basement that has power and an Ethernet connection.
Speaker 2 (02:15:49):
How do you view the next ten plus years going
for the Mets in wan Soo because it's off.
Speaker 16 (02:15:54):
The New York media is destroying him. He looks unhappy.
Fans are booing that.
Speaker 2 (02:15:59):
I look when they they played the Yankees, and he
couldn't be any happier. Just chatting up with the boys.
Speaker 16 (02:16:04):
With Aaron Boone.
Speaker 3 (02:16:05):
Oh my god, that doesn't look very good.
Speaker 16 (02:16:08):
Guys getting paid seven hundred million dollars, Yeah, can't fake it.
Have some fun, man, some fun, dude, enjoy first world problems.
Speaker 6 (02:16:15):
Man, Let's go.
Speaker 2 (02:16:16):
Uh Mo will have some fun next on the Moulwaiger Show.
Uh since he three sixty where You're done?
Speaker 24 (02:16:22):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (02:16:22):
He had fifteen Cincinnati Sports Station. Have a great rest
of your Tuesday.
Speaker 7 (02:17:19):

Speaker 1 (02:17:21):

Speaker 7 (02:17:27):
ESPN fifteen thirty maxed out on credit card
