Speaker 3 (00:39):
Leave us a talkback.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
We'll get the talkbacks in the second segment of our
number two, and then after talkbacks tomorrow, because we're off
on Friday, we will giveaway a Cinci Schurch gift card
to the best talkback of the week.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Tomorrow is basically gonna be Friday Show. That's right. We're
gonna have Charlie Goldsmith at one o'clock tomorrow, Tommy g
o'clock as well. You mentioned the gift card, so we're
just moving everything. A day up up a day, a
day up up a day a day up. Yeah, that's
what I think we're going with. Yeah, that's what we're
gonna do. We're excited about it. So today's our Thursday
(01:14):
pretty much. Okay, Bob Man Genial join us tomorrow too.
We'll talk some injuries, Bobby Buckets. Bob's listening right now,
so I just wanted to shout him out. He doesn't
get off his phone. He listens every day, especially the
first second. Do you think Bob has air pods? No chance, right, no, No,
he's still got the old school plug in wires. Yeah.
(01:35):
Well him and Rogers both used the ye wired head
same as Rogers. Did you see recently this might be
how the show's going to go today? Did you see
recently that there was a guy who said he will
not use Bluetooth headphones because he worries about the like
frequency and that like people are listening to his thoughts
and stuff like that. Of course, which makes sense kind
(01:57):
of why Aaron Rodgers would be one to not wear
the wired or the wireless headphones. Now we're thinking a
little bit here, isn't that crazy? Now we're thinking a
little bit Now, what's that mean for me? So I
use these? One of my best investments. Ever was this
pair of headphones that I use every day? These are
the Beats Studio pros. Right, They're awesome, They're worth every penny.
(02:22):
But they're both wired and wireless. Oh yeah, So what
does that mean for me? You're in trouble. I feel
like maybe I'm safer could be. Do you ever think
about how the amount of time that we spend around
this equipment and what it could be doing to our bodies? Absolutely?
Do you ever think about that? Absolutely? I do. I
(02:44):
think about that all. Like there are times at night
where I'll have like my phone next to my bed
and I'll put it as far away as possible because
I'm worried about like the frequency in the and the waves.
See now I've my brain. I've been I have a
bad habit of like I'll wake up in the middle
of the night and I'll check my phone and then
I'll just leave it on the bed next to me.
(03:04):
No sick, I have a bad habit. You're in trouble
and I wake up and it's like right next to
my face. Yep, you're in trouble. Okay, maximum trouble. That
actually might make sense of some things.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Listen to this. What we got for today. Okay, we're
gonna rank the AFC North. Oh, rank them. We're gonna
go through each position group now that most of the
dust has settled, most of the moves have been made,
we'll we'll rank them, assuming Trey Hendrickson's a Bengal and TJ.
Wattas of Pittsburgh Steeler. We'll go through every position group
and head coach. We'll do that today. We'll talk top
(03:36):
sleeper candidate for the Cincinnati Bengals. We do have some
Tom Pellis Arrow or plus arrow audio on Shamar Stewart
last night Austin tragedy struck. Uh oh, tragedy struck at
the Commissioner's Cup halftime show.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Oh man.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Now the Fever won the Commissioner's Cup without Caitlin Clark.
They were a ten and a half point dog going
into the game. They want it out right going away.
Minnesota beat Minnesota. Congratulations to the Indiana Fever. Shout shout
out to Caitlin Clark too. I saw a video of
her shotgunning what appeared to be a some sort of
alcoholic beverage. Don't don't let anyone tell you the Commission's
(04:13):
Cup doesn't mean anything.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
They were cracking bottles. They did.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
They had the tarp on the in the locker room.
They were going crazy, I.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Thought, but you were saying.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
But last night, at halftime of said game, the Red
Panda was performing. And if you are unfamiliar with the
Red pandas worked.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Then where have you been? Where have you been?
Speaker 4 (04:36):
Under rock?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
At this point? She is one of the most beloved
halftime performers of this generation, maybe ever. And last night
during the Commissioner's Cup performance, she was injured at halftime
as she fell off the top of her unicycle that
sits eight feet above the ground. She balances bowls on
her head. She kicks the bowls from her feet and
(04:58):
lands on her head while balancing eight feet off the ground.
And last night she fell and as she tried to
brace her fall, she hurt her wrist. She had to
be helped off the court. Last night, she was invisible pain.
This is also a woman who I believe years ago
got her unicycle stolen after one of her performances.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
That's right, that's true.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
And you just can't help but wonder and think where
would the sports world be if we lose Red Panda?
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Because She's an icon, and it seems like every night
during college basketball season, she were a different university performing
and putting on a hell of a show. I believe
I've seen the panda twice. Yep. If I'm not mistake,
you cherish those opportunities. And you know when you see that,
the fact that she does this as frequently as she
does this, and this is the first documented fall. Now,
(05:45):
I mean, every once in a while maybe a bowl
will hit the ground, but even then, and that's more
rare than a hunter green start on the mound, yep.
And for her to fall, devastating, devastating. There was a
the fever went lo and the postgame celebration last night,
there was a lot going on there. Caitlin Clark interrupted
(06:07):
the feed to send best wishes to the Red Panda.
Mark cuban Man chimed in on Twitter's reaching out. He said,
this is awful. Let's hope she is okay. That's what
she is, a legend that every NBA fan is excited
to see show up at halftime. I saw a tone
that she apparently left the arena in an ambulance.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
YEA.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
So here's my thought for today. Because the Reds they
only got in three full innings last night. They pick
up their game at two thirty today. We'll get to
that in just a moment. But with the Reds not
finishing their game, it leaves us some time today to
fill different segments. We'll take your phone calls at five, one, three, seven, four, nine,
fifteen thirty. But it got me jotting down a list today,
(06:45):
Austin of in game entertainment that I enjoy. Now, if
you followed along to this show last year, there were
many times where I spoke about the in game entertainment
at UC games that needs to be a little bit better. Sure,
halftime shows in particular, so I wrote down, let me
see here, I've got eight different halftime shows that I enjoy. Okay,
I also wrote down eight different jumbo tron entertainment forms
(07:10):
that I enjoy.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Oh boy, we'll get to those today. This is deep.
I want to know yours today. And you don't even
go to games that off. If you go to a game,
you don't got the guts to show up most of
the time.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Halftime show or you see what's going on in the JumboTron,
or if you follow along with Austin and every time
he goes to a game, he tweets about the Skyline
Chili shuffle. What is your favorite in those settings? We'll
get to that today because that is how deep we're
digging today.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
On a Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
For since he three to sixty mentioned the Reds got
suspended last night from their game they trailed two to
one in the top of the fourth. Uh, interesting to
see what's going to happen from a pitching standpoint today.
Sam Mall will be on the mound when the game resumes.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
I think this is the rest.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, because the night before their bullpen was asked to
go seven and two thirds.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, bullpen gets a little bit of rest. But I
mean Boston had some momentum. Sure, like for whatever reason,
they're just mashing the ball, and so, you know what,
let's bring in Sam Mall. Let's just quiet everything down.
The Reds had scored a run and made it close,
it wasn't a complete game. Give him a chance a
little bit here. Now you mentioned Sam Mall is going
(08:20):
to start the game on the mound today. Question why? Yeah, why? Why? Seriously? Yeah?
Why can't the pitcher from last night, Brady Singer pitch today?
How many pitches had he thrown. He threw like twenty
eight pitches. Yeah, see that that should be okay if
you have a whole day to warm up again. Yeah, Like,
I understand, the routine is long and it's cumbersome and
(08:42):
it's not easy. But if you have, like if you
threw twenty eight pitches and you have the whole day
to warm up again and you can go through that
same routine, if you would have frown like fifty, I
would understand, right, But let me double check it. But
I thought it was like either twenty eight or thirty
three pitches. Yeah, I don't think that's that's not like.
(09:04):
I think that's a lot. That's not ridiculous. Right. Does
somebody know something better than I do? I'm sure many do. Okay,
now this is different. Okay, he threw fifty six pitches. Okay,
he threw fifty six yes in three innings of work.
All right, So yeah, you gotta go sam Mall today.
Then I don't I got bad information. I apologize to
Brady sam Mall. We'll talk about the d Richard give
him fits through thirty out. So I don't know how
(09:25):
I got confused there. We'll discuss what happened with the
Reds last night. My face is red right now. I'm
so embarrassed. We'll talk about Noelve. Marte hit a Grand
Slam last night. Yes, he did.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Maybe time for him to rejoin this this baseball team,
and we'll look around the rest of Major League Baseball
in a move that ESPN says that the Reds should
make leading up to the trade deadline. How about how
about this Austin. Okay, new uniforms in Clifton. Yeah, new
uniform alert in Clifton. Yeah, the Bearcats have new red,
(09:58):
white and black uniforms. They are on display all over
social media. Now you could check out the uniforms at
Tony Underscore Pike fifteen. What that means today Austin, we'll
talk about the uniforms. Will also talking about the season
outlook for the football program, because really, when you look
at it here Austin, they were able to retain most
(10:19):
of their top talent. They just opened this brand new
indoor facility, they just celebrated year two in the Big twelve,
and now they have new uniforms to go along with it.
There's only thing one thing left to do, win football games.
Start winning some football games. Yeah, here's some other stuff
I wrote down for today. How about the Chiefs mascot?
And no, I'm not talking about Chiefs Ahulock. He's in
jail talking about the Chiefs mascot. Yesterday, Austin he retired.
(10:42):
And I'm like, Oh, they're retiring the mascot, like coming
up with a new mascot. That's not the case. The
man behind the mask is retiring. He did it for
thirty five straight years. Thirty five straight years of being
the mascot. That's dedication. Do we know how long Whodays
been at it?
Speaker 3 (11:01):
I don't know how long Hoo Day has been. I
feel like thirty five years is well done. I can't
imagine that the Hooday right now is the Hooday fifteen
years ago, right. I feel like that. I feel like
that's one of those jobs that you you're not there
for very long. Yeah you know what I mean, unless
you're in Kansas City, right then you're there for thirty
(11:22):
five years. Shout out to him, man, Shout out to
him is right?
Speaker 6 (11:26):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Shout out to Paul Finebaum? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (11:28):
Maybe Paul Finebaum said that Archie Manning arch Manning, Austin
arch is the best college quarterback that's going to take
a field since Tim Tebow did it?
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Really? Now, that's what he's saying.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
There are many avenues I wanted to dive into this one.
How many starts has arch Manning made?
Speaker 3 (11:47):
I think like three?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
And are we sure that Tim Tebow is the best
quarterback that college football has seen since he stopped playing?
Speaker 7 (11:56):
Now?
Speaker 3 (11:56):
I often like Tim Tebow is one of the people
when you say college football, I think of Tim Tebow.
And that's coming from an Ohio State fan, like he
to me is like the pre eminent college football player
of my lifetime. Yeah, that's like when I think of
college football, I think of Tim Tebow. Is he the
(12:19):
best in the last fifteen years? That's ultimately what it
comes down.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I mean, there's a guy that plays quarterback here in
Cincinnati that would probably have a word with that. The
college football season that.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
He put together right now, this is the thing. Is
it an entirety of a career? That's a great question,
or is it a single season? But I'm looking at
like Cam Newton was the year after t Bow, right killed,
Vince Cam was incredible. Vin hung was before Tebow. But
but you're right, Joe Burrow, Yeah, And I'm looking at
like some RG three.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
I'm looking at some list. Arch Manning is like the
eighth or ninth ring quarterback right now going into the season.
And fine, boy, I'm saying he's the best since Tebow.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
You can't say that for a dude that's like barely
he played. It's insulting.
Speaker 7 (13:04):
Now.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Maybe he can be, maybe he will be, but he
hasn't done that yet. I just I don't. And the
dude's got to go to Ohio State right week one
for his first like to start as the starter. Yea, Well,
they're defending a national championship. That's a pretty heavy burden
(13:24):
to put on the kids shoulders and he already has
a heavy enough one with his last name. Yeah, it's
a lot.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
We'll discuss a little bit more of that today. How
about baseball? How about the Arizona Diamondbacks. How about their fan, Austin?
There is a fan? Do they have just one fan?
Speaker 3 (13:40):
This guy is a diehard.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Okay, for four straight seasons he's been involved in a
fan interference play at the ballpark. Yeah, he has now
been suspended for the remainder of the season.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
From coming back to the ballpark, he got involved in
another one. Yes, four straight years But here's the thing.
Most of the if I'm not mistaken, the videos that
I've seen, he's helped the Diamondbacks except the last one
where he helped the opposing team. Well, I think if
you got a guy out there who's willing to put
(14:13):
it all on the line for your team, he's turned
out into doubles for the Diamondbacks, and because he turned
a double into an out or whatever it was for
the other team, he now gets kicked out. He got
the boot. Come on, man, he got the boot. By
(14:35):
the way I saw it was on TV the other day.
Have you ever seen the documentary Catching Hell for ESPN. No,
it's about the like it's about Steve Bartman and what
happened in two thousand and three. We need to like
do a series. Maybe we'd talk to like Tom Brennan
or something, because he called that game. Tom called that game.
(14:55):
It kind of shows the strange, eerie comparisons between the
Eve Bartman play and the Bill Buckner play and how
they were kind of connected, and how all the hell
that came with it for Steve Bartman all the hell
that came with it for Bill Buckner. Sure, it's I
highly recommend it. If you're looking for something to do
while you're off this weekend or during Fourth of July
(15:17):
or whatever. It might be catching hell at ESPN documentary
for It's probably twenty years old by now, but it's awesome.
I saw it on TV again the other day. I recommended, Hey,
Lebron's back in Cleveland. He's doing what He's playing golf? Now,
you told me he had a hat on in Cleveland.
Today I saw a picture of Lebron James and I'm
(15:37):
trying to figure out if this is real. I think
it is, but it said, you know, he's golfing at
a golf course in Cleveland and his hat says welcome
home on it still got the sticker on it too,
so it was fresh.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
There's an article on Yahoo Sports today that says, Lebron
to Cleveland question mark why heading niece for the crown
could be the move for Lebron James.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Okay, so maybe there's something to us. The East is
wide open, maybe there's something to this. Cleveland was very
good last year. Maybe there's something to this. The Spider
and Lebron, Spider and the King. Yeah, sounds like a
children's book.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Saw you were you were getting all jacked up earlier
today about the Madden twenty six franchise mode that.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
Was real used today. I'm jacked up, all right. I
mean you were ready to run through a wall. You
ran out of this room. Listen. I'll tell you something
that I have a few joys in life. That's one
of them. That's one of them. Yeah. I do this
league every year, me and thirty one others. Wow, each
guy controls an NFL team. Sure, And you have to
(16:44):
schedule games and you play, and it's like every two
days it gets forwarded to the next week. And it's competitive.
It's serious. We got to like stream the games, all
of it, and it really is one of the things
that gets my competitive juice is going. You know, some
people play pickleball or maybe in a bowling league, softball,
(17:06):
even golf leagues on Thursdays. I know you do that.
The yid man does that. Now I played Madden. She
might explain why I'm a little overweight. There's one other
thing I have to get to. And it happened before
the show today. Okay, our friends down with the Cincinnati
Reds in the community fund. Yes, guy Michael Anderson, Yeah,
(17:28):
dropped off a box for us as they are celebrating
Austin twenty five years with the Reds Community Fund, and
they got the telethon coming up right. This is a
big deal, all right, This is happening on July eighth.
It is an hour long pregame show, game production, post
game show that's going to highlight programs and raise funds
(17:49):
for the Reds Community Fund. So you're going to be
learning throughout the broadcast what the Reds Community Fund does,
many of the baseball and softball themed outreach initiatives that
they do, twenty five years of the Reds Community Fund,
the partnership and impact that they have in the community,
(18:09):
the renovation efforts that they've made on countless fields throughout
the community. They got youth development through the Reds Little
Sluggers League and Red's Fun at Bat programs, the Reds
Nike RBI team celebrating nineteen student athletes. There is so
much happening. And they were nice enough to drop back
drop a giftbox off today.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah, with a nice note. I said, thanks for all
the Reds talk on since he three to sixty. We
certainly appreciate them. And if you're unfamiliar, even though it's
been twenty five years. With what the Red's Community Fund
is doing and has done, then do yourself a favor
and research that a little bit, because the work they
do and what they're doing right here in the city
and giving back is unbelievable stuff.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah. I was talking with Michael for a little bit
this morning, and he's talking about just the sheer amount
of fields that they've built around since Natty that they've
just completely redone or made over whatever it is. Every
single dollar that the Community Fund gets goes right back
into the community. Like there's it's it's awesome what they're doing.
(19:12):
You go to reds dot com slash community if you
want to check out how to donate. The telethon last
year raised almost three hundred and fifty thousand dollars and
they've raised millions and millions over the course of the
last twenty five years. That has all gone right back
into the city of Cincinnati, the community, the surrounding areas,
helped grow the game of baseball, help get people into college,
all sorts of stuff. So really good cause consider that
(19:36):
coming up next week.
Speaker 2 (19:37):
Yeah, really really cool stuff. Before we break, how about
today's pole question postman law?
Speaker 3 (19:42):
Nope, Nope, Revived Fitness system got too much on my mind.
The Revived Fitnessystems dot Com poll question brought to you
by Revivefitnessystems dot Com and coach PJ. Street, Which of
the following Bengals edge rushers will have the most sacks?
Int five? Shamar Stewart, Miles Murphy or Joseph o said, Oh,
(20:08):
how would you vote on that? Miles Murphy, Joseph Osaia,
Schmar Stewart, I'd probably say Osai. Joseph Osaia is the
current leading vote getter at sixty three percent, Murphy next
at twenty six percent, and Shamar Stewart at nine percent.
(20:31):
You can vote at Audio more at Tony Underscore Pike
fifteen at ESPN fifteen thirty, and that'll be a part
of I think our conversation a little bit later on
in the show. There it is.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
That is segment number one. When we come back, let's
get you caught up the speed on everything that happened
in last night's Red's shortened game. Shortened game for the
Cincinnati Reds. They're going to pick that up at two thirty,
so we'll get you caught up on everything that you
needed for that and then as we go a little
bit later. Now number one, we will get some phone
(21:05):
calls and get into so many more of these talking
points today along with you. It's since he three p
sixty on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station, thanks to
our friends at Skyline Chile.
Speaker 8 (21:17):
Now, well TONI awakes the three to two pits from
Shane Smith.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Here it comes, he swings.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
It's a high drive right field, way back it goes, and.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
This ball has gone a home run.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
Show Hey, oh Tony with a blast his thirtieth of
the season, Emma, Dodgers lead at six to one.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Ratt will show.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Him, Oh Tony, where there's eighty third run storage a
four hundred and eight foot blast into the right field pavilion.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Guy just mashes, man show he show Hey, he just
mashes another home run for Otani killing it.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
That's our call the night. By the way, this is
Sincy three to sixty. Thanks for listening on ESPN fifteen
thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. Thanks to our friends It's Skyline Chiley.
Last night here, let's uh, let's get through last night
and what the game was that we were able to
get through three full innings at Fenway Park and.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
A lot of work for Brady Singer. Yeah, fifty six
pitches through those three innings. He struck out four, he
walked to He gave up two earned runs and three hits.
He gave up both runs in the first inning. The
Reds were able to get one back in the third. Austin,
what did you make in the third when the Red
Reds put Will Benson and Cees on with no outs
(22:51):
and they decided to bunt TJ. Friedel In the moment,
I didn't mind it. Yeah, honestly, try to get something
going here. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
I if it was anyone but Freedel or probably Ellie,
I would have been good with it. But Freedel, to me,
is one of your best hitters. Well he's also the
best bunter. Yeah, But I feel like in that sense,
you got a chance for a big inning first and second,
no outs, here comes the top of your lineup. I
(23:22):
just feel like Fredo, if he gets a hit there,
then you're you're looking at a big inning. Instead, you
sacrifice him over. McClain grounds out for an RBI and
then Ellie flies out and you end up only getting
one run out of it, which felt like a little
bit of a momentum shift. But as we sit here today,
it's two to one Boston. They're gonna pick it up
in the top of the fourth inning. Austin Hayes will
(23:44):
be the batter for the Cincinnati Reds and Sam mal
will be the pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds. Anything obviously
in a short sample size else that stands out to
you from last night, just going back to the.
Speaker 3 (23:56):
Bunch, Like I thought, in that moment, you're turning the
lineup over, you stay out of the double play. Friedo's
your best bunter. He could bunt for a hit like
I get like where in probably from like a win
percentage thing. It probably doesn't change anything. But I didn't
hate it. I didn't think it was like the worst
move in the world, especially just to try to get
(24:17):
something going and pull within one run. So I really
don't don't think it was that big of a deal.
The big thing to me, you know, the way that
Boston once again jumped all over Brady Singer with a
leadoff double by Jared Duran and then another double by
Rome and Anthony and eventually a single. You know, they
have a really good plan. It seems like for Red's pitching.
(24:40):
How do the Reds adjust to that. You know, we
saw a little bit of an adjustment from Singer as
the game went on. But ye know, I think it's
a good thing. Take some of that momentum, take it
away from him. You got this longer day where you're
gonna have to play basically two full games. I think
it can be a good thing for the Reds, just
kind of reset they're not I mean, they're coming from behind.
(25:01):
But also it's like you don't today, you probably don't
go out there, go out there and feel like you
got punched in the mouth again. Yeah, and you have
the chance to be the ones punching it in the
mouth to start start this game today. So I think
it can be a good thing for them. I mean,
not only the bullpen getting an extra day of rests,
but still it just kind of takes some of that
momentum from Boston.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, I think so. I think it does give you
that opportunity. Again, I just I don't agree if if
you have if you got the bottom of the order
up and you want to lay down a bunch and
try to get something out of it, Okay, but with TJ.
Friedel coming up, no outs, why are you taking the
bat out of the best, the best contact guy you
have on the team.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Freedom's been in a bit of a slump player, yeah,
but a slump compared to how he's been the rest
of the year.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
But you're essentially bunning to throw it to a guy
and Matt McLean who's sitting two twelve.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
Yeah, but Matt McLean's been one of the best hitters
on the team for the last.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Like if it's if it's Freedom on and you want
a butt McClean to get Ellie up with second third.
But I just feel like you take away your ability
to have a big inning and it feels like you're
playing for a run or two.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Yeah, maybe, but a runner two ties the game and
you're still early and you're still flipping it over. Also,
think about it, think about it from a right handed perspective.
You know, that's a short porch out there in left field.
You can bang one off of the green Monster. Matt
McClain had three hits the night before. I mean, you
can quickly get a big inning going in that ballpark,
(26:29):
and Freedol you know, could have nearly if they It
just kind of depends on the play. Could have turned
that into a hit. Yeah, so I mean, I get
where you're coming from. I definitely do like I think
both sides of this argument are correct. Other news, and
how do we even know that? Was that a Terry
Francona thing or was that a TJ. Friedel thing?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
I felt like that was a sock bunt. Bunted it
down to third baseline, great bunt, right, what you have
to do? In other news, he got into reinstated to
Triple A last night. Noelve Marte didn't take long. He
had a grand slam last night. I think I've seen
enough of him in the minors. Yeah, I'm ready for
Noelve Marte to come back. That was just his first
(27:09):
game in Triple A. This is what it sounded like
for Noelvie marteitch.
Speaker 9 (27:16):
Swing in a high fly ball deep left field, that
bug disappears, Grand slam for Noelvie Marte and the bats
have blown this one open.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
It's now you have eleven to three.
Speaker 9 (27:30):
Batchs here in the seventh on a grand slam off
the bat or the rehabbing Noelvie Marque here on the
bottom of the seventh.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Today, there you go our guy Jim Kelch on the call,
crushing it for the bats. Shelterer's crushing it. Let's go.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Outside of the game that'll be picked up today. Obviously,
there is a game that still will be played tonight.
I believe that seven to ten start is still Nick
Martinez and the Boston Red Sox have yet to name
who their pitcher will be in the seven ten game today.
Speaker 3 (28:00):
I don't know if we said this earlier. The twenty
seventh man for today, which is, you know, part of
the baseball rules for a doubleheader you get an extra
guy is yos for Zulueta yospah Zulaweita gets the call.
Also other Major League Baseball news here, the Braves today
designated Alex Verdugo for assignment, which means they've cleared a
(28:21):
spot for Jerkson Profar. If you remember, Profar was suspended
those eighty games for ped use. So that certainly could
shape a little bit of an offensive shift in the
NL wild Card. That's right, that's right.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
Outside of that, do we know who's going for the
Red Sox at two thirty? Are they gonna throw fits
back out there?
Speaker 3 (28:41):
I don't think they're throwing any more fits, all right,
they don't throw any more fits at the plate. Where
did I get in my mind that Nick that what's
that guy's name? Brady Singer for twenty eight pitches? Where
did that come to eight in the first inning? That
might have been what happened? Well, go ahead? Where I
got that pitch? Cow? Yeah, I mean you had me phone.
(29:03):
I was like sure, all right?
Speaker 2 (29:04):
That was so confident too. Sounds sounds like some good
work from him. All right, let's take a break, let's
come back. Let's open up the phone lines. Five one, three, seven,
four nine, fifteen thirty at Cincy three sixty thanks to
Skyline Chili on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
We are This is Dave Laplock, and you're listening to
the Home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen thirty.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Welcome back since he three sixty thanks to Skyline Chili.
Thank you for listening on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.
UH for the first time this afternoon. Let's open up
the phone lines. Let's uh, let's go to Boston. John
is calling in. What's up John?
Speaker 10 (29:52):
Good afternoon, my friends in Ohio. How are you get up?
Speaker 3 (29:54):
Joe?
Speaker 10 (29:56):
We're doing okay, doing okay. I just wanted a comment
on Joe Finebaum's comments. First of all, from what I understand,
arch Manning this offseason has been studying Joe Burrow and
Josh Allen, so we know watch is pretty bright because
he's emulated two of the best quarterback in football. So
check that box, right. But as far as the best
quarterback since Tebow, I think it comes down to two quarterbacks. Obviously,
(30:18):
it's Joe Burrows twenty nineteen at LSU, and I still
find it almost comical that Borrow was thrown to Jami
Chase and Justin Jefferson because here we are six years
later and I make the case the best quarterback in
the NFL and the two best receivers in the NFL
were on the same college team. That's damn scary if
I was to put one quarterback above Joe during that
period of time. And it's nothing to do with Joe
(30:38):
Borrow not doing something, because his numbers in twenty nineteen
almost look ridiculous. It has to be Cam Newton because
in twenty ten with Auburn, he didn't have that much
around him. I believe on that entire roster there are
only two other NFL players, and he was coming from
behind h A.
Speaker 3 (30:53):
Tali Bama.
Speaker 10 (30:54):
He was running the football. He was sensational. So I
would say that Cam Newton and Joe Burrow clearly the
two best quarterback in a single season since can Tebow
people in totality was phenomenal like that, But watching him
trying to throw a football in the NFL was like
watching a Lane Bennis try to dance, because.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
That's that's sadly.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Yeah, I'm with you what Cam Newton was able to
do because again, not you look at the passer Joe
Burrow such a pure passer. Cam Newton was not a
pure passer, but he he did everything for that team
and led them to the very top. And I think
if you're gonna take talent around him, I know t
Bow was great. They he had a lot of weapons
(31:40):
around him, and he had a heck of a defense
as well around him, much like like Joe Burrow did.
But Austin mentioned earlier that the year that RG three
put together, Baker Mayfield had a heck of a run
at Oklahoma. You could put some other quarterbacks up there.
I I just stopped short for a guy like Arch
Manning when he's made what two or three starts in
(32:02):
his college career to come out and say, oh, well,
he's he's the next best quarterback since since Tim Teba.
Speaker 3 (32:09):
I think that's hard to.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
Go out on a limb and say if you've not
seen him make some of those starts, especially when you're
gonna put that pressure on. He's gonna have to go
to Ohio State week.
Speaker 10 (32:18):
One, absolutely, and we know the pedigree is obviously sure,
But he plays differently than his buncles. He's a better
athlete than his uncles. He's kind of a hybrid. If
he's as good as we think he is, he might
be a hybrid of Joe Burrow and Josh Allen, which
will be really scary. I don't think he's quite the
pure passes that Joe Burrow is, but I don't think
anybody in the NFL is. I think he's the purest
of all the passers. But yeah, we haven't seen much
(32:40):
of them. I kind of wish they played him more
last year they may have won the national championship. We
know they're the only team that really gave Ohio State
any trouble in the tournament, and maybe the difference would
have been if if he had been playing. But I
think he's gonna be fantastic. But again, yeah, we don't know.
We've seen the Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence was the highest
rated quarterback to come out since Luck and he's been
(33:01):
a disappointment in his five years at Jacksonville. So again,
when you judge these guys and Tony, you know, this
is better than all of us. When you judge these guys,
it's more than just the physical talent. It's the personality.
It's the brain, it's the heigh, it's the ability to
deal with something. I just want to tell a quick
story before I leave Trevor Lawrence. I remember his rookie
or second year, he was given a press conference outside
(33:23):
and there was a bee that was near him and
he seemed so distracted by this bee. The first thing
that came to mind to me is how is he
going to deal with debris in the pocket when there's
three hundred pound alignemen trying to kill him? Yeah, and
how is he going to really stand up to that
when a bee is bothering him? Now, maybe he's allergic
to bees and that the cut comes up slack on that,
(33:44):
but without questioning, I think, as you know, the quarterback
position is very difficult to figure out, because it's more
than just oh that this guy can make all the
throws and he's six' four and he can. Move it's
a lot more than. That AND i saw a lot
of that for twenty years with the greatest of the,
Law Tom.
Speaker 3 (33:59):
Brady, yep very, well Said. John we appreciate, you, man thank,
you thank. You you know what.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
WHAT i think is, Interesting, Austin if If fine bamb
is going to come out and say That arch is
the best Since, tebow are we also going to start
Questioning Steve sarkisian as a head coach who Played Quinn
owers over the best thing Since Tim tebow last?
Speaker 3 (34:18):
YEAR i think it's fair to. ALREADY i, Mean.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Newers was a seventh round draft. Pick, yeah left a
lot to be, desired and yet he still started Over Arch, manning,
who As paul finebaumas, said is the best college quarterback we've.
Speaker 3 (34:34):
Seen Since Tim. Tebow. Interesting you, KNOW i was thinking,
too Like Lamar jackson At. Louisville, yeah twenty. SIXTEEN i
think he had like a combined like sixty touchdowns or.
Something Marcus mariota EVEN i don't know if it's a
single season Like Jamis winston when they won The National.
Championship was. INSANE i think he threw forty touchdowns and ten,
(34:58):
interceptions almost almost forty one hundred. Yards LIKE i, Said
baker was. Awesome, Yeah baker was really. GOOD i guess
you have to consider winning if you're going to compare
it To, tebow because All tibo ever did was. Win
BUT i MEAN i, Would, yeah THAT'S i. WOULD i.
WOULD i would Put Burrow newton Then. Tebow, yeah, honestly
(35:21):
and again that's From Tim tebow. On we're not going
back Past Tim tebow but because then we start talking
About pike and, yep you got. It, uh what's, Up?
Speaker 7 (35:30):
Mike Hey, tom how are you, Doing buddy?
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Good how are you?
Speaker 7 (35:35):
Well i'm, hanging you, know always notice from the, yeah he.
Looks you, know we were talking about THE Nl west
being the premier division in The National, league but you
take a good hard look at it now and, uh
And diego has been, Slipping The giants have been, Slipping
the D backs haven't done what everybody thought they'd. Do
(35:58):
so when you look at the divisional records of The,
cubs we'll forget The cubs And dodgers or heads above
the other guys in the. Division but when you look
at the at The brewers and The, cardinals, yeah and
The red and combine that to The, giants The, Pudgres
giants and D, backs it's pretty dead Even.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah, YEAH i mean The giants said at third in
The west with the same amount of losses as the
Reds arizona is Without Corbyn. CARROLL i know that The
giants have some injuries that they're dealing with as, well
and The dodgers seemingly are running away with that right,
now as are The cubs to a smaller extent with
(36:39):
fifty wins now in The National League. Central but, YEAH
i do think if you were if you were predicting
The red season and you're sitting there, thinking, okay eighty
five games, in there'll be three games over five, hundred
you probably would have thought they'd have been second or
third in THE Nl. Central that's only good for fourth right,
now AND i think that speaks more to how good
(37:01):
The cardinals and The brewers have, been along with The Chicago.
Cubs but, YEAH i. DO i think that's a little
surprising when you look at at those two.
Speaker 7 (37:08):
Divisions, yeah really really snuck up on us. ALL i,
think unless you're just you, know into it up to
your eyeballs. Everything But i'll tell you it's interesting too
to make it. COMPARISON i was looking at this between
what What what's the reason The padres have been, slipping
because they have slipped dramatically since the beginning of the.
Year and and it's similar to what we hear whatever
(37:33):
we talked about with The reds for performance in close,
games underperforming star, players questions about pitching depths and bullpen, management,
uh and difficulty in hitting left handed. Pitching how The
padres are hitting one eighty four against their left handed
pitching and there's questions, there their, bullpen their their pitching
(37:53):
staff depths is. Questionable and their manager is under the
gun here a little bit because of questions about the roster,
fitting his ability to, execute and critical situations and. Moments
so it's interesting the comparisons of the woes of these.
Teams and at.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
The same, time you mentioned THE Nl central in THE Nl,
west those those two divisions are the only two in
all of baseball that boast four teams over five hundred right,
Now no no other division in baseball has has has
four teams that are above five.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
Hundred it's.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
Amazing that's ALL i had. There and then the other
THING i wanted to bring up was The. Lakers this
new owner. Boy The lakers lucked out getting This Mark
walter because he with The dodgers uses you, know he's
not worried about, money, right and he'll play it however
he has to play. It and they're even, saying, now, Hey,
lebron guess, what, cowboy you're not so solid here. Either
we may get rid of. You so and they, said,
(38:50):
Well lebron's not going to be involved in any decisions about,
anything and so you may see The lakers make some
big moves and become a eminent. Team.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
Again that's the one aspect no one's talked about is
how much do The lakers want to get and Pay
lebron to come back or are they going in a different.
Direction there was a lot of buzz about maybe The
lakers Landing, yiannis AND i think The bucks have have
had a pretty productive offseason to this. Point they're trying
all they can to to try to Persuade giannis to
want to.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Stay.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Uh but, yeah it is an interesting dynamic now That
luca is the. GUY i, mean there's no doubt about.
It That's luca's team. NOW i just don't know if
if that's something Lebron is is okay with with passing
the torch on, her or if he needs to be
the center of it.
Speaker 7 (39:35):
All, Yeah plus they never went on and got a.
CENTER i, mean the only one that's left pretty much
is Aid and from down In, phoenix AND i think
he's been under performance since he came into the, league
although he was highly thought. Of that's all like. That
i'm warning. Everybody i'll talk to.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
You, Later, Mike thank you, man have a great.
Speaker 7 (39:51):
Day, legally all, right.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Let's, uh let's take a, break let's come, Back let's
spend a little more time With Cincinnati, reds and then
we'll kick off our number Two austin with this in
game entertainment CONVERSATION i want to. Have let's have some
fun with, it and really we hope that everything's well
with The red pand at this point we're keeping her
obviously in our.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
Thoughts we'll talk more about, her you, know somebody other.
Entertainment somebody called in earlier and said that you should
tell your Red panda. Story oh, people forget you want
to throw the paper about The red. BAND i, did
so maybe we can share that a little bit later On.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Yeah we can lead off the hour with, that, yeah
and then dive right into the Red panda from in
game entertainment. Standpoints finishing up On Baseball next SINCE e
three to sixty thanks To Skyline. Chili thank you for

Kind of makes me think of college football NOW i.
Know Now i'm in a college football state of. Mind
it won't be long, now man won't be long now at.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
ALL i can't wait how many days until bearcats Corn?
HUSKERS i don't. KNOW i don't have a. Cat you don't. Know,
No i'll wait till we get. Out as much as
you guys talk about it in the office every, day,
now THAT'S i don't talk about. It that's not. TRUE
i don't talk about. It you talk about it. Constantly
august twenty. Eighth, yeah so we're not At we're not
at the month outstandpoint. Yet So i'm, gonna you, KNOW
(42:39):
i keep forgetting about that. Game it starts at nine. Pm.
Yep oh, boy stand. ALONE i have a confession to. Make,
OKAY i don't know IF i should do, this but
last NIGHT i was kind of relieved that The reds
entered a rain. Delay, Really i've been working a. Lot
my brain is kind of Frieda i'm trying to produced
(43:00):
this show and my own shows and my other, stuff
AND i needed a night to like turn my brain.
Off and so when The reds went into a, DELAY
i was actually pretty. HAPPY i turned the brain off
AND i caught up On Love. Island, well, OKAY i
mean you want to talk about really turning the brain.
Off so just that's my guilty. Pleasure you know what
(43:24):
you do? This leave this talk back. Today you're guilty
PLEASURE tv shows or like a YouTube series or like
some people watch Mister. Beast you, KNOW i Love Love ISLAND.
Uk it is ridiculously trashy, television not a lot of brain,
(43:44):
cells but IT'S i just it's my it's the best
thing to like turn my brain off and just you
know WHAT i. Mean so that's WHAT i did last.
NIGHT i caught up On Love, ISLAND uk when The
reds went into a rain. Delay there you go to
each their. Own there we go to each their.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
OWN i was looking around Today Major League BASEBALL Espn
David schoenfeld threw together a list of a player that
every team should trade for or. Away As july hits
now for The Arizona. Diamondbacks and when we've talked about a,
lot it says trade Away Eo Honey. Osuarez it has
(44:26):
The cardinals as a team that should trade for. Someone
it has The, marlins for, example as a team that
should trade Away Sandy, alcntra and it has The cubs
as the likely destination for. Them when you get down
for The Cincinnati, reds it says that The reds should
trade For ryan. McMahon ryan McMahon plays for The Colorado.
(44:47):
Rockies he's not having a great. Year he's hitting two
nineteen on the, year not factors in, corsefield but he
is one of the best defensive third basements in the,
game and there are things to like about his. Metrics
eighty ninth percentile walk, grate eighty third percentile. Batspeed he
has signed through twenty twenty seven with The rockies at
a very reasonable sixteen million. Dollars he's a high floor
(45:11):
and an plus defender with twenty plus home run. Output
it says for The reds they should absolutely be looking to,
add and third base has been a black hole all.
Season they moved on from Jam Or, Candelario Santiago Espinal,
Cees Gavin lux not the solutions you. Want The reds
have a couple of third base prospects that they could
offer in.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
Return it's just.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
A matter of absorbing more salary on top Of candelario's sunken.
COST a player Like ryan McMahon makes sense to, You,
YEAH i mean it feels like the type of. Move
it's a by lower type of move for, sure but
it would also upgrade the position in my, opinion. Immediately, sure,
(45:54):
yeah it makes a lot of. SENSE i mean you
mentioned Aut kinta in. That with The marlins as, well
mister dude could have won a say young a couple
of years ago and has performed really poorly since his,
return so he could be a potential by low type
of guy as. WELL i know that you know The
marlins are an interesting team because every time they get good,
(46:15):
players they just trade, them even when they go to the.
Playoffs and that team right now eight game win streak
longest In Major League. Baseball they've surpassed The braves in
THE Nl, east which is kind of hard to. Believe
so it makes me wonder if all of a sudden
they become, players if they, decide you know, what we're
going to try to go for this and see if
we can get over the hunt Because atlanta is not
(46:36):
that good and by The mets are in free fall
and they have a guy And Gabe, kapler who is you,
know kind of a forward thinking ASSISTANT gm down. There but, yeah,
NO i mean that's sort of. Move that's exactly what
you're looking, for You and that's What Nick caral has
done in the, past is those type of. PLAYERS i, mean,
hell the guy is gonna start on the mound. Today
(46:56):
Sam maule is a perfect example of. That, ye let's
take our break to finish our number. One when we come,
back let's Talk Red panda at The zoo and the
halftime performer and in your academic, Career my academic. Career
next ON espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports, station a service
Of Skyline CHILE Wcky.
Speaker 11 (47:16):

Speaker 3 (47:40):
Station welcome.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Back it is our number. Two thanks to our friends
At Cincy. Shirts thank you for. Listening ON espn fifteen
Thirty Cincinnati Sports. Station phone lines were open five to
one to, three, seven, four, nine fifteen. Thirty all, right
we'll do. This last, night The Red panda fell off
(48:09):
her unicycle where she sits eight feet above the. Ground
sustained a pretty bad wrist, injury was helped off the,
floor left the game in an. Ambulance as The Indiana
fever took The Commissioner's cup in THE, Wnba now it
brought up The Red panda. One The Red panda was
one of my greatest achievements from an academic standpoint at
(48:29):
The university Of.
Speaker 3 (48:30):
CINCINNATI i was once.
Speaker 2 (48:34):
Enrolled in a course that was just properly named at
the zoo and once a week you met at the.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
Zoo this is A Brian kelly. Special Brian kelly special right.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Here and it was fantastic because you would essentially do
like scavenger hunts throughout the. Zoo you just walk around the,
zoo try to find, stuff learn about, animals a lot
of time in the reptile, house the insect, house things like.
That but the reptile, house reptile, house. Snakes but but
the final, paper you were tasked with going to the
(49:10):
zoo on your own time and observing for like twelve
hours animal behaviors and every twenty minutes you were supposed
to write down how the behaviors change and what you.
Watched AND i know this is still a Thing, austin
because the last time that our family went to the,
zoo there was a young lady sitting outside The lion
(49:31):
exhibit jotting stuff down AND i, said are you in
the at The zoo?
Speaker 3 (49:37):
Class, YES i.
Speaker 2 (49:38):
Am so that's still a class that's being offered at
The university Of. Cincinnati so you, know we're in. Season it's.
BUSY i don't have a couple hours during the Week
austin to go and just watch an animal do. Nothing
SO i googled animals at the zoo AND i found
the red. Panda i'm, like this seems like a cool.
(49:59):
Animal it's usually pretty active during the, day which MEANS
i can write a lot of stuff.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
DOWN i. UH i looked up things that the red panda?
Does how do how does how do red panda spend their?
Days AND i made up a, paper put some good
work into, it turned it in AND i did receive
AN a for the. Paper the unfortunate side of it
is that the teacher wrote on the paper that the
(50:26):
red panda had not been at the zoo for. Months SO.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
I did my research on the ways in which the
red panda conducts itself during the. DAY i just did
not research if it was actually currently on exhibit at
The Cincinnati.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
Zoo it. Wasn't so what happened, NOTHING i got AN
a on the. Paper, interesting how did that? Work since
it was all made?
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Up, WELL i still put the work. In, WELL i still,
write AND i still, wrote did you?
Speaker 3 (51:00):
Like WHAT i would have done is like lied and
SAID i went to like the toledos in no or.
NO i JUST i, said well you know anywhere, else
didn't have a ton of, time AND i just you,
know googled and was. It were you at the height
of your football powers at this?
Speaker 2 (51:14):
Point this Was this WAS o, eight so this is
my junior. Year So i'd taken over the. Helm, okay
so that's What that's what. HAPPENED i was the man
in charge of.
Speaker 3 (51:22):
It if you weren't playing good ball at the, time
you get AN f and maybe fail to. Class and,
yeah turn turned back to who grutza.
Speaker 2 (51:30):
Never hear from me? Again, right it's probably what would have. Happened,
uh from one.
Speaker 3 (51:36):
You wouldn't be here today if not for that that, professor.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
You're, right you're. Right so from what one red pan
To austin to? Another how about? That the red pan
that fell last, night in my, opinion is one of
the best halftime entertainment performers you can find at a sporting.
Event from an elect, standpoint you don't want to leave
(52:02):
your seat if you see the Red panda coming out for.
Halftime SO i jotted down some of my favorites AND
i want to see if you, agree and maybe you
have some as. Well now this is not The Jumbo tron.
Yet this is just from an in game entertainment, standpoint
something that IF i, See i'm gonna stick around in my.
Seat here's WHAT i wrote. Down, obviously the Red. PANDA
(52:22):
i like the. FIRECRACKERS i like the kids that come
out with all the jump. ROPES i think that's extremely.
Entertaining dogs with Frisbees i'll. WATCH i enjoy the dog
with frisbee. ASPECT i also enjoy that they gotta wear
like the the little shoes to cover their palls so
they don't scratch the. Floor So i'll watch dogs with. Frisbees,
SURE i know one Of mullagger's personal, favorites monkey's ritting the.
Speaker 3 (52:46):
Dog, yeah nothing better than.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
That does not get much better than. That how about mascot.
Speaker 3 (52:51):
Football i'm a big fan of mascot football MASK i.
MASKETBALL a big fan of any time you're balancing. Something
people balance bunch of chairs on top of each, other
or a ladder on top of their. CHIN i like
the balancing. ASPECTS i would also, say you, KNOW i
watched like a pee wee sometimes The. Bengals we have
two different teams go against each. Other oh pee wee football,
(53:14):
Teams SO i, mean you really don't get a, halftime
you just get more, football which is why you're. There,
Correct SO i like? That, YEAH i like. That how
about this.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
Half court shots or what's come popular lately the full court?
Speaker 3 (53:32):
Putts oh, YEAH i like the full court.
Speaker 2 (53:34):
Putts and, then of, course how can you not go
to a game and enjoy some good trampoline. Dunks m
any of the bull is known for. That, Yeah i'm
all for the trampoline. Dunks, yeah those are the eight
THAT i.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
LISTED i like it when they give a, chance give
somebody a chance to win some money or a car
or something with like the almost like around the world you,
do like a, layup free, throw three point or half Quarter,
yep that sort of. THING i like. That, yep DID
i miss? ANY i don't think. SO i think you
pretty much covered.
Speaker 7 (54:03):
It.
Speaker 2 (54:03):
Yeah NOW i also want to step, further AND i
jotted down some JumboTron favorites of.
Speaker 3 (54:08):
Mine jumbo tron. Favorites yepkay me up on the jumbo.
Tron let me see something happening during a. Game here's
WHAT i went. WITH i think an all time great
the kiss. Cam, yes you can have a lot of
fun with the kiss. Cam the kiss, Cam i'll tell you,
what the last couple of years At Great American, ballpark
there's been some stuff going on on that kiss camp.
Really oh, yeah, okay, yeah just even recently a couple
(54:32):
of weeks. Ago the stuff that makes those operators change
that camera real quick, really which is pretty. Funny. REALLY
i don't know IF i said this on the air or.
Not WHEN i was In. Atlanta DID i say this
they did the kiss? CAM i don't think. So and
at the end they showed A reds fan sitting by
himself and played the lonely oh never so, Lonely so
(54:55):
THAT i thought was pretty funny AND i was just
grateful it wasn't. Me but, YEAH i think you can
you when you can like kind of have some fun
and poke fan fun at the other. Fans, SURE i
like that a. Lot, Yeah i'm with you on. That
i'm good with.
Speaker 5 (55:09):
That.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
Uh kentucky basketball does something that's known as the reverse.
Cam have you seen?
Speaker 7 (55:13):
That huh?
Speaker 2 (55:14):
Huh so they they essentially like video people eating their
food and then when they played on the Jumbo, tron
they do it in.
Speaker 3 (55:21):
Reverse so it looks like they're. Vomiting, YES i don't
know about.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
That, YEAH i think to. Me it's one of the
funnier ones That i've. Seen, INTERESTING i threw up the,
obviously the dance, cam the flex. CAM i like the simbacam.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
SIMPLY i was about to, Say simba's funny with little
babies or on a bark in a park night they
put the dogs.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
UP u see does something that they they. Drop it's
not The jumbo, tron but it's in between a timeout
or something where they they will drop like parachutes With
skyline gift cards on.
Speaker 3 (55:50):
Them.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Yeah big fan of, that, sure huge fan of. That
The Skyline Chili Cony. Shuffle obviously that's right up your.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
Alley so you, know, listen it's been years Since i've
failed A Skyline chili shuffle Bright. Ballpark the reason for
that being is it's overwhelmingly. Easy, YEAH i think in this,
city in this, city we just love Eating, skyline so
any excuse to do it will do. It but, YEAH
(56:19):
i do think. So like WHEN i, again WHEN i
was In, atlanta and even In, detroit they have like
THE Napa Auto Parts Cap shuffle or The New Era Cap.
Shuffle that stuff is way harder than The Skyline chili.
Shuffle SO i think we need to up the ante
a little. Bit, Fair, yeah? Fair what about the lookalike
(56:40):
cam THAT i was about to say is my? Favorite,
yeah when they find somebody who looks like a character
or a celebrity or maybe an. Animal That i'm a
big fan. Of my favorite right now, though is the,
filters the like snapchat filters that they will put on,
people especially opposing, fans to make it look like they're.
(57:04):
Crying that's my. Favorite, yeah that one's really.
Speaker 2 (57:07):
Funny our Guy Joe daniman just chimed, In, okay he
said the quick change.
Speaker 3 (57:14):
Quick change from an in game. Entertainment what's what's quick?
Speaker 2 (57:17):
CHANGE i believe that's like the halftime where this THESE
i think it's a guy and a. Girl they they
can like change into all these different outfits like, immediately
thing like they go up and like they like throw
a sheet up and then like a sheet comes down
and they're a Different it's almost like a magic, act you.
Speaker 7 (57:34):
Know.
Speaker 3 (57:35):
Interesting BUT i think that's, interesting all. RIGHT i think
maybe we should do more magic, acts some slide of, hand,
yeah stuff like. THAT i think magic will be. Cool uh.
Huh what's your? Favorite?
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Five, one, three, seven, four, nine fifteen Thirty this is
what happens when The reds have a game that's.
Speaker 3 (57:51):
SUSPENDED i THINK i do kind of like the trivia
that they do where everybody like scans A qr. Code
The reds have this thing this year where you can
like skin A qr code and it will make your
camera on your phone like it'll put you on the,
board WHICH i think is. Cool the selfie, cam which
kind of gives everybody a chance to get on the video,
(58:12):
board which is. Fun james has chimed, in what about
the bandwagon? Cam the bandwagon, cam which IS i think
they just throw like photos up or video up of
people sitting in the, arena like wearing a different team
or a successful team. Stuff, okay, interesting.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Like maybe not even like a that would be like
if The reds were playing The brewers and they would
show someone on the screen that has a you, Know
yankee shirt, on or whoever had won from the year before.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Something we've talked about this. BEFORE i don't mind if
you go to a game like that and you are
not a fan of either, team if you wear your
team stuff and we may have seen this differently, before
like you AND i don't agree on. This if you
go to A reds Or let's say you go to
(59:08):
let's say you go To Red's braves In bristol and
you're wearing A Houston texans shirt or A Houston texans
hate or excuse, me The. Astros, NO i don't mind. That, nope, nope.
Jail IF i go to a, game like IF i
(59:30):
want to go up TO Pnc park and see that
ballpark and The pirates are playing The, Mets i'm gonna
wear a reds. Hat what's wrong with? That, Yeah that's
What i'm, Saying, Jersey why? NOT i see that all
the time at Pay Court. Stadium WHEN i used to
(59:51):
work at The bengals pro, shop there was a guy
who Had bengals season, tickets but he was a Massive
Miami dolphins. Fan he would come to Every bengals game
head to toe In dolphins. Gear he had one of
those like really nice like leather jackets that The marlins man,
does That marlin's. Man, yeah but like you know that
(01:00:13):
maybe is a little bit over the, top BUT i
don't have any problem with. That wrap your, Team, okay,
okay do we want to take this phone? Call not
knowing who's waiting to talk to? Him it's a scary
game to. Play, well we like playing games. Here, okay
let's do. IT i call. Her what's your, name you're
on the.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
Air It's Ken.
Speaker 13 (01:00:32):
Ken, hey guys talking about going you, know special things
At reds. Games this was probably, fifteen, sixteen seventeen years.
Ago my daughter AND i were at a game and
we kept noticing they were playing music from Like Happy
days and other stuff like. That come find Out Tom
(01:00:55):
hanks And Ron howard were Were they were both in the.
Stadium they were they were on a bus tour touring around,
stadium was visiting and of course everybody was excited to see.
Them and when it came to the kiss. Cam, uh
they put the camera On tom And. Ron of Course
(01:01:17):
ron shied away as, none, no.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
No so the.
Speaker 13 (01:01:20):
Lady Behind Tom hanks tapped him on the shoulder and
he turned around and kissed.
Speaker 3 (01:01:24):
Her, wow it was prety.
Speaker 13 (01:01:27):
Dog it was really. Cool and you would have thought
that the game went into extra and they stayed to
the end of the. Game and, uh you would have
thought that at the end of the game they would
have maybe caught under and sneaked out that. Way and
they went right on up the aisles and went through
the crowds and was waving at. Everybody it was really.
Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
Cool that's. Awesome, yeah that's that's a good.
Speaker 7 (01:01:50):
Story.
Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
Thanks, thanks you appreciate. That there you. Go you ever
seen like a celebrity at a?
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Game uh So xavier games because if someone's on the
Staff Bill murray would be a lot of.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Them Bill. Murray.
Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Yeah, NOW i was just Told austin AND i don't
know If Joe daniman knows this or, not BUT i
was told that the quick change guy actually died DURING.
Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Covid oh my. God so there's that nobody else can replicate.
That apparently that's hard to. Replicate, Interesting But i'm all
for magic, acts, yeah you, know for that something that wows,
me something THAT i can't wrap my brain. Around you.
Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
Know lately there's been things that games that happen where
they throw up like a dance cam or some type of,
cam and they'll put like a kid on the cam
and the arena will go. Nuts and then every time
they flash to someone else to the arena and then
they go back to the kid and it gets.
Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Louder, Yeah and.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Then they flash someone else and They bill and the
kid just kind of like builds up the confidence and
starts doing more.
Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
Stuff love. That yeah that's a good. One, yeah that's
a good.
Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
One IF i leave the arena talking about what happened
at halftime or on the jumbo, tron it was a good. Day,
yeah and the the red pand that brings out so

Speaker 16 (01:04:48):
THEM i, mean you, know they got their little closure,
right the big. Numbers you should be able to see
them from the. Stands there's only one, problem AND i
just don't know how to overcome. It the talent going
into The jerseys is the. Problem it's going to be
terrible and it's doing injustice to The jerseys.

of the team as hard AS i will push everybody

play harder than we will the.
Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
Rest of the. Season god bless. Man the, Speech, Yeah
god bless them was the last. One, okay, Shut that's a,
good good group of talk backs.
Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Today we gotta we gotta Get. Now it's time for
an injury report when we get. Back, yeah we got
an injury report because hundred greens on the mount throw
and some simulated work right now through A. Fenway we
got to talk about that and we'll look at our
poll question as. Well next On cincy three sixty ON
espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports STATION.
Speaker 3 (01:22:11):
Pn fifteen thirty and iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
Station welcome Back cincy three Sixty thanks To Cincy. Shirtz
thank you for listening ON espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports.
Station Our Postman Law Injury report delivered by our friends
With Postman Law Injured postman delivers just called eight four
(01:22:37):
to Four postman for The Cincinnati. Reds we mentioned. Noelve
marte moved To TRIPLE a yesterday and all he did
was hit a grand slam For TRIPLE a two for,
three also walked twice in the game and had five
total RBIs let's go ahead and get him back to
the big league. Squad, yeah as soon as. Possible and
this just coming. In i'm Seeing Hunter green through a
(01:22:59):
similated inning at Been Away.
Speaker 3 (01:23:01):
Park Go.
Speaker 2 (01:23:01):
Hunter he faced five, Batters So Hunter, GREEN i believe
the plan was to throw a simulated inning Against boston
and then was it to start the rehab start or
he go To philly as.
Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
Well u's a it's simulated inning against his own, team
just to be, clear, Correct and THEN i think he
throws again while they're In, philadelphia something probably similar to
what he just, did and then begins a rehab assignment after.
That SO i would assume a week or, two maybe
after The All star, break we would See Hunter green
(01:23:38):
if all things go. Well But Charlie, goldsmith reporting That
green said it was good to be back on the,
mound said he felt strong and his pitches were. Solid
so that was actually kind of. COOL i saw some
of the. Pictures the gates are open At Fenway, park
and you, KNOW i asked you before the. GAME i
wonder if that would screw Up hunter's schedule at, All
(01:24:00):
but there are fans like sitting there and instead of
watching batting, practice you're Watching Hunter green throw a simulated,
game WHICH i bet that was kind of. Cool see.
Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
Absolutely that is Our Postman Law injury report delivered by
our friends At Postman Law Injured call eight four to
Four Postman Real. Quick, YESTERDAY mo Mentioned Tucker barnhart retiring from,
baseball AND i saw a lot of this back and
forth on social media As Tucker barnhart A Red's hall Of.
Speaker 3 (01:24:26):
Famer oh you asked me too too? FAST i would guess,
no off the top of my. HEART i don't think,
so BUT i saw a lot of people pushing for that.
Yesterday let me see IF i can pull this up
real quick, now he won Two Gold gloves With cincinnati eight,
Years so the year's thing really isn't. REQUIREMENT i, mean
we Know Dave parker played like three, years won a
(01:24:48):
couple of gold a couple Of All Star games in eight.
Years Tucker barnhardt hit fifty one, homers two hundred and
sixty one runs batted. In he had six dolen. Bases.
Uh he is a career two forty eight hitter with The,
reds three twenty four on base percentage an ops of
(01:25:10):
six ninety. Six, okay SO i would say, No, YEAH
i don't think, so BUT i saw a lot of
people pushing for that. Yesterday. YEAH i don't think he's
A Reds hall Of famer and he's great. Guy, YEAH
i don't think he's A Reds hall Of.
Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
Famer we, Are, Uh we're gonna shift our conversation to
The bengals and THE Afc north in the third.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):

Speaker 3 (01:26:06):
Com question is, simple which of the Following bengals edge
rushers will have the most sacks in twenty twenty? Five
fifty eight percent Say Joseph. Osai thirty two percent Say Miles.
Murphy not about not a lot of belief In Shamar.
Stewart just eight point nine percent Say Shamar. Stewart we'll
(01:26:27):
have the most sacks among the three we. Will we'll
talk About Shamar stewart and our number. Three Tom pellisaro
gave a little bit of A Samar stewart. Update we
have not yet this week got into our conversation about
our top sleeper. Candidate we need to go through AN
Afc north position by position rank. Them now that we
are in the month Of, july training camp right around the,
(01:26:50):
corner and let's talk about these new uc football. Uniforms
and while we're at, it let's talk about the season
outlook a little bit as. Well we've teased all these
things a little. Bit we just haven't had the time
to get to. It The reds get underway back underway
at two, thirty so we got some time to do,
so and we'll lop up open up the phone lines for. You, five, one, three,
seven four, nine fifteen. Thirty our number three is. Next

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Station welcome Back cincy three.
Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
SIXTY espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports station and service of
our good friends At Penn. Station thanks for joining. Us,
Uh we're gonna talk football here in our number three
let's start it with a conversation about what The university
Of cincinnati did earlier Today, austin they unveiled new, uniforms
New nike. Uniforms, now it's hard to describe what a
(01:28:10):
uniform looks like over the. Air they got rid of
kind of what THE v neck look of a different.
COLOR i thought they just made them a little bit,
simpler WHICH i thought made them look a little.
Speaker 3 (01:28:22):
SHARPER i. DISAGREE i think they spiced them up a little.
Bit they were way too simple last. Year there was
like nothing on.
Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Them NOW i wish they would go back to the
like the bearcat claw marks on the. PANTS i thought
those were. Fire but they as the uniforms have been
in the last couple of. YEARS i think it's a immediate. Upgrade,
yeah and my favorite is the all. White i'm a
sucker for any sort of all, white but.
Speaker 3 (01:28:47):
Me to, it but Normally i'm all. Black it's the
Classic cincinnati word mark across the chest of both the
black and white. Uniforms the biggest difference you will see
right away is the. Font the number font is not
like the usual Bear cat numbers that you see on.
Everything you. Know we had the conversation last week about
like almost or maybe it'd have been, yesterday about kind
(01:29:10):
of merging the paneling of basketball shorts to football and
kind of keeping it all the. SAME i was a
little surprised they changed the number. FONT i think it
kind of reminds me of The Houston texans a little
bit with the numbers that they, have or maybe The Minnesota.
Vikings BUT i think it looks. Clean and they've got
(01:29:31):
the sepol on the, shoulder on the, side they've GOT
tv numbers up. Top they've got the thick white stripe
and the thin red. STRIPE i think they're just a
perfect amount of. Red the numbers are now outlined in
red on both, uniforms WHICH i think is. Great and
then they have an all red alternate as well that
has THE sensei across the chest, cincy WHICH i think
(01:29:56):
is it's all, right it's not too. BAD a red,
helmet a white, helmet a black, helmet black, pants white,
pants red, pants black, jersey white, jersey red. JERSEY i
think they look. Clean, YEAH i think they do. Good
they didn't go, overboard they weren't overly simplistic like the last.
ONES i think they look. Good.
Speaker 2 (01:30:14):
Yeah now it's one thing to look, good and one
would argue that in order to play, good you got
to look good because if you look, good you feel.
Speaker 3 (01:30:21):
Good you feel, good you play, good that's. Right and
if you play good day they will. Come, no they pay. Good,
WELL i was gonna, say they'll come. Though the, fans
they'll come to the, stadium they'll support. You there'll be
a buzz back in the city like football has had.
Before but when you look at this roster and you
look at what they've done this, offseason they kept a
(01:30:43):
large majority of their best, players and even some of
the players that could have went to THE nfl chose
to come. Back they opened the brand new indoor, facility
which is. Unbelievable they have rolled out new, uniforms and
according to most they have a very Favorable Big twelve.
Speaker 2 (01:31:03):
Schedule, so, like what did we talked about? BEFORE i
think The vegas numbers five and a. Half does that sound?
RIGHT i think that's what we. Said, Yeah and, like
like for, me if it's not, six then it's not
even a conversation going into next. Year from a coaching,
(01:31:28):
STANDPOINT i, MEAN i think you would legitimately have to
make a coaching move if you don't get the six.
Wins but from a schedule, standpoint it's among the easiest
in The Big.
Speaker 3 (01:31:38):
Twelve they.
Speaker 2 (01:31:43):
They are, ranked, UH i believe the fourteenth easiest. SCHEDULE
i was just looking that up to make sure that was.
Correct but no, excuses no excuses this fall for The.
Acats it's not a schedule that you look and you
(01:32:05):
see the top hitters in The Big. Twelve they Miss Arizona,
state they Miss Kansas, state they Miss Texas, tech and
they Miss West. Virginia from a home game, standpoint they
GET ucf at, home they Get arizona at. HOME byu
is projected to be one of the better. Teams they
GET byu at, home they Get baylor at, home and
(01:32:28):
they Get Iowa state at. Home they don't have to
Leave Knipford stadium. Much and when they do a winnable
game At, utah a winnable game AT, Tcu Oklahoma state
has not been good in years, past and they get
a trip To kansas out of, Conference Bowling green And
Northwestern state come into. Town and then of course there's
(01:32:50):
The august twenty eighth game Against. Nebraska to, me when
you bring back the core that you see did in
today's era of college. Football that should give you a
heads up on other teams around the. Country and WHEN
i say corp they brought Back Brendan, sowersby they brought
(01:33:11):
Back Dante, corleone who was ranked by some accounts at
the best of his position in the, nation other accounts
one of the top five in his position in the.
Country todd McShay earlier this offseason Had Joe royer as
a first round draft pick from a tight end, standpoint
and many rank him in the top three among tight
end in the. Country so just based on, That austin returning,
(01:33:32):
quarterback best player on defense comes, back best player on
offense comes back with opportunities to go to THE nfl.
Draft Evan pryor comes, back who averaged seven and a
half yards per carry out of the backfield last year
for The CINCINNATI. Bearcaf they bring in A wisconsin transfer
at running. Back the question for me on offense can
you protect the, quarterback which is going to be the
(01:33:56):
case at any. Level and when you bring Back Gavin
gerhardt at, center that's a great start. Forward they also
added the top spring portal ranked tackle this offseason as,
well so they have revamped the offensive. Line they have
a running, game they have the, quarterback they have their tight. End,
offensively the biggest question for me as wide. Receiver their
wide receiver room was bad last. Year they could not
(01:34:18):
beat one on one. Coverage teams were able to not
put as many into the passing game defensively because they
didn't have guys that could get open as. Much it
took away the down the field. Threat AND i don't
know yet BECAUSE i don't get to see, it and
you really don't until training camp starts in today's college.
World but All i've heard this offseason is how much
(01:34:40):
different and how much more explosive the wide receiver corps.
Is so if that's the, case offense should be much.
Better this defensive line last year was crushed by injuries
before a game even. STARTED i think they lost three
guys on the defensive line that were projected to either
start or get major playing time that didn't get to
(01:35:00):
play all year because of season ending. Injuries they come
back healthy and in return for having to miss guys last,
year they played a lot of young players who are
back on defense as. Well back on the defensive. Line
Linebacker Jack dingle is Back Jake golday is a name
(01:35:21):
that you're gonna hear a. Lot Antoine peak. Junior remember
this Is Tyson vite year two of a three to
three five year one with, injuries don't really have your
your stamp on the roster from, personnel you keep it
pretty basic this. Year a lot of guys, returning a
lot of key portal. ACQUISITIONS i think you should expect
(01:35:44):
more from the defensive side of the.
Speaker 3 (01:35:45):
Ball that's the thing, Too, like, yeah there's a lot
of stuff that happens in the, portal and there's a
lot of new guys that come, in and that's like
that's a big. Deal but the constituity on the coaching
staff and like the leadership positions on the, TEAM i
feel like can make that an easier, transition like less
of communication issues and more understanding of what's expected and
(01:36:07):
stuff like that THAT i think can be.
Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
HELPFUL i, Mean i've talked about this before year one
verse year. Two in a new, system, right and not
only a new system when you go on defense from
doing something like a four down to a three, DOWN i,
mean there's not many teams that are going, three, three
five in today's college, football and So Dante corleone had
(01:36:29):
the health issues last, year you didn't know if you
were going to have. Him you lost multiple starters on the.
Front if you Were Tyson white last, year you probably
had to keep things pretty basic just because you didn't
have a lot of. OPTIONS i would imagine that that
defense is going to look vastly. Different they're going to
see more, wrinkles they're going to be play, faster they're
(01:36:49):
going to play more. Confidently they should play more confidently
on the offensive side of the, ball because you should
have the ability to run the, ball and you should
have a tight. End who Broke Travis keller record last
year for receptions in a season at a tight end
and he came, Back LIKE i just think the core
foundational pieces for them is there. Now Can Scott sadderfield
(01:37:11):
get that out of. Him that's a question that he
has to answer as this season gets. Underway but If
i'm looking at the, schedule they should be bowling. Green
they should Beat Northwestern, State Iowa, state AND ucf. Here
you like your. CHANCES i don't know how Good kansas
is going to. BE i don't know how good a
(01:37:32):
lot of The big twelve is gonna. Be Oklahoma state's
been a disaster as of. Late utah is not very good.
Again you your two best opponents in the upcoming season
are home. GAMES i think they got an opportunity to
start three and, one four and, one build some positive,
momentum and the ultimate outliers The nebraska. GAME i Think.
Nebraska nebraska's gonna be a top twenty five team when
(01:37:54):
the season. Starts do we think?
Speaker 3 (01:37:56):
THAT i have no. IDEA i don't know anything About
nebraska and WHAT i.
Speaker 2 (01:38:00):
Hear probably they'll be somewhere around the mid to the
late top twenty. Five it's not gonna be an easy,
environment but it's an environment you can go into because
you have your foundational pieces back that have played in games.
Before so the moment shouldn't be too, big the atmosphere
shouldn't be too. Big if you would have if you
(01:38:20):
would have told me in the last Year's nebraska team with.
Speaker 3 (01:38:22):
The the doomsday front that they had that dominated a
lot of, teams if you watched Any nebraska last, year
you weren't gonna do much because of their. Front that
front is. Gone Dylan ryola is.
Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
Back they got them ranked as the third Best Big
ten quarterback right, now matt rule historically in year three
makes a pretty substantial jump.
Speaker 3 (01:38:46):
From a coaching.
Speaker 2 (01:38:47):
Standpoint, so BUT i, mean how much Hinges austin if
they find a way to Beat Nebraska Arrowhead, stadium H,
like what's the conversation happening? Then and if they do
lose the, game is it a game where it was
up in the, air they could have won, it they
came up, Short they come back, home they Beat Bowling
Green Northwestern, state and then you're, thinking, okay open big, twelve,
(01:39:09):
play go Beat kansas and see where you're. At or
is it a game Against nebraska where you are humbled
and you, think, man this team's got a lot of
holes to, fill this team's got a lot of. Weaknesses
and then you have to have a completely different conversation
from a mental makeup. Standpoint SO i think it's. FASCINATING
i think the makeup of the team is. FASCINATING i
(01:39:31):
Think i'm a little more bullish on them being better
than what people are projecting them because of the core
THAT i just. Discussed but, again in today's, era with
the culture and guys coming, in All i've heard is.
Culture All i've heard is the. Indoor All i've heard is,
leaders all the explosiveness and wide receiver and the players
that are. Returning everything's been good that you, hear but
(01:39:55):
there's been no equity build up yet that you're just
going to believe that. Blindly you're gonna have to see
it on the field and whether that's a good or bad.
Thing that you open up without a, cupcake and you
open up on The thursday before the First saturday at
college football in a standalone, game that's a great opportunity
for a team At Arrowhead stadium to go Against. Nebraska
there's gonna be star power and, Attendance i'm, sure and
(01:40:18):
it's gonna come. Quick BUT i think they have the
makeup to be. Successful can the staff get it out of?
THEM i think is the.
Speaker 3 (01:40:28):
Question THAT I i mean most PEOPLE i talk To
austin And i'm sure you could attest to. This the
biggest question that a lot of people have A Scott. Saderfield
is he the?
Speaker 2 (01:40:38):
Guy, well you spent the, money because you raise the,
money you got this palace of an indoor, facility you
got new, uniforms and you got the core pieces of
the roster back that you. Want there's really no excuse
now Like moas said multiple. Times you know the goalpost doesn't.
Move last year we said bowl, game they didn't get
to a bowl. Game that doesn't mean this year you
(01:40:59):
just say they got to get to a bowl. Game
they got to find eight or nine. Wins if your
program's trending in the right. Direction, now six in a
bowl game probably Saves Scott saderfield because there may be
some groundwork laid. There anything short of, that AND i
think if You're John, cunningham you got to start to
make some. Moves we'll talk more ABOUT uc football obviously
(01:41:20):
as that game gets. Closer let's switch to The bengals
when we get Back. Austin let's let's play the audio
From pellasaro On Shamar, stewart even THOUGH i don't think
there's much new, there but that's his take on what he's.
Hearing and that's the latest from The Shamar stewart side of.
Things and let's talk about maybe a sleeper candidate on
This bengals team that we haven't spent a lot of
(01:41:42):
time talking. About that's next thanks To Penn station at
since he three to sixty ON espn fifteen to Thirty
Cincinnati Sports.
Speaker 1 (01:41:47):
Station now your chance to win three six is back
ON espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati's sports.
Speaker 2 (01:41:55):
Station welcome back since he three to SIXTY espn fifteen
Thirty Cincinnati Sports, station a service Of Penn. Station, uh
(01:42:19):
let's get this, audio And i'm trying to get this
in all. Week we just haven't had an opportunity to do.
It and there's not anything our, shattering but it is
the latest that we're hearing from A Shamar stewart's side of.
THINGS i believe this Is tom pelisarro on With Dan.
Patrick this is the Rich Rich EISEN i knew it.
Speaker 4 (01:42:36):
In terms Of Shamar. Stewart, yes you remember, This.
Speaker 8 (01:42:39):
Rich there are dozens of, players only a couple of
first round, picks but there are dozens of players across the,
league rookie draft picks who have not yet signed their.
Contracts the reason this one gets more attention is because
there's only one guy who did not participate in practice
the entire, spring and that Was Shamar.
Speaker 4 (01:42:57):
Stewart and my understanding has, been you know the way
that this.
Speaker 8 (01:43:00):
Works why rookies can practice without, contrast which you can't
do starting in training, camp veterans can't do it is
generally players will sign what's known as a participation agreement
that protects you if something were to happen injury or
otherwise through the course of those practices. Here it would
ensure that you're taking care of financially. Well Shamar stewart
didn't want to sign the participation agreement that The bengals
(01:43:21):
had because the way that there's his word it because
every team has different, language it did not provide the
same level of protection as teams give other teams give their,
Rookies and in, fact he wasn't alone in. That Demetrius,
knight their second round, pick also didn't practice with the
first day with The bengals because of the same. Issue
he ultimately showed up on day. Two they got his contract.
(01:43:42):
Done but the argument in that case, was, HEY i
should be treated like all the other rookies around THE,
nfl and The bengals were, saying, well, no this is our.
Speaker 4 (01:43:51):
Language this is what Of Marius mims and everybody else
before you.
Speaker 8 (01:43:54):
Had, well it's exactly the opposite on the, contract which
is The bengals are saying we want to give you this.
Language stewart, SAYING i want to be treated like all
the other players in this locker, room Like Amarius, mems they're, saying, well,
no this is what we're now going to do with
this language to match other. Teams so you've kind of
got this double standard here that has not Struck Shamar
stewart or his. Agent, WELL i think ultimately they find a,
(01:44:16):
way one way or another to Get Shamar stewart, in
if not right at the start of, camp then in
the early stages of training camp. Here but that's the
reason we keep talking about this. One it's not that
it's unusual for a player not to have. Signed it's
this dichotomy of, well we can't do the participation agreement
because of what other team's, languages but we also can't
do the contract, because, well this is what our language.
(01:44:39):
Is that's what's generated from my. Understanding the most significant
hold up here in Why schamar and.
Speaker 4 (01:44:44):
His Agent Zach, hiller just haven't been willing to sign
either of.
Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
Those, yeah we're all, Right SO i don't think anything
earth shattering, There, Austin, no it's the latest. UPDATE a
lot of it is what we. Know, Yeah tom was
just a little bit. Off Demetrius knight still has this sign.
DEAL i think there's only two second round picks that
have signed, deals and the reason for this being that
they're trying to set the president that second round picks
(01:45:10):
get fully guaranteed money as, Well so it might be
a while for some of those guys. Sign But Dmitri
snit did sign that participation waiver That pellisera was referring. To,
YEAH i, mean at this, Point i'm still In i'm
still in the side here that that believes that this
is going to get done Before july twenty.
Speaker 3 (01:45:28):
Third that's what a lot of people keep. SAYING i would.
Hope SO i would hope, that you, know something changes
between now and. Then whether it's The bengals Or, STEWART
i don't really care, honestly who quote unquote wins this,
right Because i'm kind of shifting into the mode of all,
right can we just play? Football Like i'm cool with all,
this you, know debating and stuff In, April, May, June
(01:45:51):
but when we start to get Into july and training
camp and we start talking about actually trying to win football,
games at some, point whether it's The bengals Or Shamar,
stewart you gotta just put your differences aside and, Say,
okay this is what we're gonna. Do get it, Done
get it. Done it's just, LIKE i also don't buy
(01:46:12):
the whole participation waiver. THING i think that was again
part of the ploy to have, leverage Because Shamar stewart
has zero. Leverage so he's, like all, right WELL i
won't practice so you that'll make you guys look. Bad
And Trey hendrickson's not, here so you guys already looked. Bad,
yeah and you know Whereas Demetrius knight was, like oh,
(01:46:35):
YEAH i know how important it is to get onto the.
Field blah blah blah blah. Blah just come on.
Speaker 2 (01:46:40):
At some, point just get it, done get it. Done
if you're The, bengals let's do this for a. Second
let's talk about a a sleeper. Candidate is there a
player on either side of the ball that you are
expecting more out of than maybe what people are viewing
(01:47:04):
that player, as or maybe someone that people aren't talking
enough about that you think can have a big impact
on this team this.
Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
Year, YEAH i think everybody keeps forgetting ABOUT. Tj. Slayton
M i, MEAN i know that you look at HIS
pff numbers and you, think, wow this guy, stinks and
it's not like they signed him to a record breaking,
deal but he's six foot, five three hundred and thirty
eight pounds or three hundred and thirty. Pounds they need
help stopping the. Run that presence in and of itself
(01:47:31):
clogging things up will help. Them and with better linebacker
play behind them And Barrett, Carter Dimitrius knight And Logan,
wilson you expect the run defense to. Improve can he
BE Dj? Reider maybe that's a tall, task but people
keep forgetting ABOUT. Tj. Slayton that was like their big.
Acquisition big figuratively and. Literally if you are able to
(01:47:56):
at you, know push the pocket in any way and
stop the, run get inside of those run, lanes forced guys, Outside,
LIKE i think he can have a huge impact on this.
Defense and with a guy in his defensive line coach
And Jerry montgomery who was with him previously In Green.
Speaker 2 (01:48:20):
Bay, YEAH i THINK i could see all reasons for
that on the defensive side of the, ball AND i
think he can have more of an impact than WHO
i went.
Speaker 3 (01:48:28):
With BUT i.
Speaker 2 (01:48:31):
Selfishly go to the offensive side of the. Ball AND
i say this without even knowing what the path is
for him to get on the, field because you Have
Mike kasiki AND T higgins And Jamar chase and some
really good things from Andre. Yoshibash but in a very
very limited sample, Size Jermaine burton showed the ability to
(01:48:52):
make plays down the, field and he showed the ability
to impact this team in a positive nature in special. Teams, now,
again a lot of off the field, issues right thin
ice already missed, meetings miss, practices missed a road, trip
spent time at the, casino did not do things the right,
(01:49:16):
way which was concerning for a character guy that already
was marked that way coming. In but from a talent,
standpoint there's a lot of people that Viewed Jermaine burton
as a first round talent and The bengals got him
in the Third and do you remember what the conversation
was when they got Him, Austin it, was, well that's
gonna BE T higgins replacement BECAUSE t was gonna, Leave
(01:49:39):
bengals weren't gonna pay, him so they just Drafted tea's.
Replacement but can you imagine in an offense now With
Chase brown AND T higgins And Jamar chase And Mike,
yasicki When Jermaine burton gets on the, field obviously he's
should have a better understanding of the, playbook knowing where he's,
going which should earn the trust Of Joe. Burt how
(01:50:00):
many times this offseason have coaches or players or members
of the media went out of their way to talk
about how Well Jermaine burton's handling. Himself, man if you
get the athletic talent to allow the mental side to
mature and catch, Up Jermaine burton could be a huge
(01:50:22):
factor for this.
Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
TEAM i think we talked about, too the fact that
last Year jamar AND t really couldn't be that type
of mentor to him because they were dealing with their
own stuff off the, field and now maybe they. Can
and also because he's not the guy that's going to
replace T higgins. Anymore you got to fight for a roster.
Spot nothing's going to be given to you like you
(01:50:45):
have to earn. It he was embarrassed by you, know the,
media by social, media everybody kind of talking about how
this kid was was screwing up this chance to be
in THE. Nfl and you hope that it finally at
some point just clicked with him of, like oh, CRAP
i GOTTA i gotta figure this thing. Out, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:51:06):
Let's take a, break let's come. Back let's look across
THE Afc north position by position and do a Little
wednesday edition Of.
Speaker 3 (01:51:12):
Rank Them, Next Rank.
Speaker 2 (01:51:13):
Them thanks To Penn, Station IT'S espn fifteen, Thirty Cincinnati Sports.
Station you're listening To cincy three to sixty Until.
Speaker 12 (01:51:19):
Cincinnati this IS espn fifteen thirty And iHeartRadio.
Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
Station welcome, Back cincy three to SIXTY espn fifteen, Thirty
Cincinnati Sports. Station let's do this Here, austin because earlier
(01:51:47):
in the, week maybe it's earlier in this week or
at the end of last. Week we went through and
we just ranked the position groups for The Cincinnati bengals
one through. Eleven what is the strongest position? Group what
is the weakest position? Group, now knowing what we, know
we've seen What baltimore did in Adding Diary alexander and
(01:52:07):
how they. Drafted we've seen what The Pittsburgh steelers did
this week to revamp their defense and also add John Us.
Smith we've seen what The bengals have or have not.
Done we've seen How cleveland has went to the table
and re Signed.
Speaker 3 (01:52:27):
Miles.
Speaker 2 (01:52:27):
Garrett all of that being, said let's run through these
position Groups, austin and let's just rank them one through
four from AN Afc north. Standpoint let's start with, quarterback
which to me is the. EASIEST i have The bengals number,
one The ravens, two The steelers, three and The browns.
Speaker 3 (01:52:46):
Four we are in agreement on. That that's pretty. Easy,
yeah running, back how do you vote running? BACK i Have, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh.
Cleveland we are in agreement on running. Back this is. Easy,
yeah this this segment. Sucks what about wide? Receiver wide?
RECEIVER i Have, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Pittsburgh. Cleveland, okay so our
(01:53:07):
first small.
Speaker 2 (01:53:07):
DISAGREEMENT i have The bengals obviously at number, one and
THEN i have The steelers at number, two in The
ravens at, three BECAUSE I i look At Zay flowers
AND i know they Have, bateman AND i know they
Have DeAndre hopkins still on the. Roster BUT i would
(01:53:28):
TAKE Dk metcalf over any of those. Players, Okay, now
what kind of help outside OF Dk metcalf for The
Pittsburgh steelers IS a is a whole nother question off
the top of your, head do you know another wide?
Receiver on the depth chart right now for The, Steelers
Bobby trees, Man Robert, Woods.
Speaker 3 (01:53:48):
Yeah Robert. WOODS i Got Calvin. AUSTIN i don't know
how much that. Matters they Got Roman wilson. Off this
was like six years. Ago Bobby trees would be a
whole different, thing but, no could be a little.
Speaker 2 (01:53:57):
Different but for that, reason because of the top end
OF dk, METCALF i have them To baltimore. Three what
about the tight end. ROOM i Have baltimore, One pittsburgh,
Two cleveland, Three cincinnati. FOUR i Have pittsburgh, one, Okay
John smith And Pat. FRIARMOUTH i Have cincinnati. Two, hmm
(01:54:20):
you had how did you have? IT i Had baltimore
number one with they still Have, andrews they Have Isaiah. Likely,
yeah who'd you? Have number? TWO i had The steelers number, two.
OKAY i took The browns three BECAUSE i would Take
jokul over anyone we have right.
Speaker 7 (01:54:34):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:54:34):
YEAH i disagree with, That, OKAY i guess Because Mike
kiseki is technically a tight. END i was looping him into.
Speaker 7 (01:54:42):
That.
Speaker 3 (01:54:43):
Uh AND i still am am pretty high On Tanner. Hudson.
YEAH i really Like Charlie kohler two for The. Ravens m.
Speaker 2 (01:54:49):
H i mean that's your number. Three and now this
would be different If Eric all was.
Speaker 3 (01:54:53):
Healthy. YEAH i think the degrees of separation with this
particular position are very, different are very very, THIN i should.
SAY i Think John smith just Puts pittsburgh over the
top and what they are and who their offense is
going to be and how they're going to be. UTILIZED
i Have cincinnati just Because Drew sample had a great
season last. Year Tanner, HUDSON i think the potential of
(01:55:14):
that group is. High and Then baltimore Because Mark andrews
clearly lost the step last year AND i don't know
if he's kind of in The trevor or the what's the.
Word i'm looking for The Travis kelcey type of decline
for a year or. Two that's my big. Thing, okay
you may have lost your train of thought there Because
(01:55:34):
spencer home. RUN i. DID i. WATCHED i was watching
that ball and seeing where it was. LANDING i got
a little distracted. There did you hear the people? Yelling?
YEAH i. Did our SALES i have my door open
today and our sales team yelling About spencer's. Dear that's,
funny offensive.
Speaker 2 (01:55:54):
Line this is the only THING i Have cleveland rank
number one in BECAUSE i still think that's a strong
offensive line. UNIT i have balt more to The bengals
three and The steelers. Four, INTERESTING i Have, Baltimore, Cleveland, Pittsburgh. Cincinnati, Okay,
yeah so we essentially swap one and two and three and.
Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
Four, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:56:16):
Pittsburgh If Broderick jones takes the next step as a left,
tackle that could be a different. Conversation BUT i think
for NOW i still have them at the. Bottom what
about the defensive? Lines defensive, LINES i just Assuming watts
with The. Steelers hendrickson's here with The. Bengals that's how
we're assuming this right.
Speaker 3 (01:56:35):
NOW i Have, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Baltimore. Cincinnati all, RIGHT i Have, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati.
Baltimore The raven's great at getting after the passer right,
NOW i don't think. So not a, Bouquet, Yeah kyle Van,
NOY i think they. Have they have a little bit
of depth issues. There, yeah but you Know Mike, Green,
(01:56:59):
yeah what's he gonna end up? Being Odafe oway has
shown his ability and that's what's different about like The
steelers And, ravens are those guys can you stand up as?
Well and they play a little bit of both edge
rusher and a linebacker. Spot AND i think the complexity
of those two defenses and how difficult and Even pittsburgh
(01:57:20):
or Even, cleveland, honestly the way they Move garrett. Around
that's WHY i put those three above The.
Speaker 2 (01:57:23):
Bengals, okay linebacker Ro Quwan smith is still with The Baltimore.
Ravens they're number one for. Me pittsburgh is, Two cincinnati's,
Three cleveland's. Four we have the first to.
Speaker 3 (01:57:34):
SWITCH i Have pittsburgh And, Baltimore, Cincinnati. Cleveland the REASON
i say that Is pittsburgh has a good young linebacker
by the name Of Nick, herbig WHO i am a
big fan. Of and on top of, That Peyton, wilson
a guy THAT i really. Wanted what About Jockey Jack
(01:57:56):
sawyer is now on that. List Malik, harrison a couple
of great Buck eyes are now on that. LIST i
think they have the depth more than any other. Team And,
cleveland you, KNOW i thought about putting them above The
bengals BECAUSE i Think Carson, schweisinger do they say that?
Correctly their rookie linebacker kid they got out of Us.
UCLA i think the first pick of the second. ROUND
(01:58:16):
i think he's a. MONSTER i really do corner and.
Speaker 2 (01:58:22):
SAFETY I i'll Lean baltimore at. CORNER i Have pittsburgh
number two because they had A Jalen. Ramsey it's hard
BECAUSE i Mean, cleveland whether they still Have Denzel, WARD
i don't know at what Level Denzel ward is is
(01:58:42):
still expected to play. WITH i know that defense is
going to be asked to do a. Lot they also
Have Greg newsom's Say Greg newsom still. THERE i guess
they'll be three in The bengals. Four, yeah that's HOW
i had. IT i had ACTUALLY i had A cleveland number, One, Baltimore, Pittsburgh.
Speaker 3 (01:58:55):
Cincinnati what about? Safety, SAFETY i Have, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cleveland. Cincinnati,
WOW i Had, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati. CLEVELAND i don't know
Why i'm Giving cincinnati the not at. SAFETY i might
have had a small stroke WHEN i filled out. Safety
here's my thing, though here's my thing though about the safety.
(01:59:18):
Spot all, right this is my question about this. Offseason
isn't as bad as we? Think? Right Jordan battle when
he was a, rookie was the highest graded defensive rookie
in THE nfl And Pro Football. Focus ginostone two years
ago led THE nfl in. Interceptions if you apply what
has obviously been the plan for this team defensively all off,
(01:59:42):
Season Louisanna rumo didn't do a good enough job getting
the most out of those. Guys and you Say Al
golden will make them, better and you feel like the
linebackers are better and the defensive line is slightly, better
then why wouldn't the safeties be better? Too? Sure, now
depth is the biggest knock for. ME i don't Trust Dejon,
(02:00:03):
anthony and as much AS i Love Tyson, ANDERSON i
don't trust him. Either so in that, spot you, KNOW
i guess it's break glass in case of emergency and
Put Dax hill back. There but nobody wants to do.
That so depth, WISE i think that position is is
that's an. Issue special TEAMS i Have boswell and The steelers,
(02:00:24):
One bengals, Two baltimore, Three cleveland. FOUR i didn't even,
UH i didn't even do special didn't care about special,
teams special, team special. Players what about the? Coaches how
do you rank the coaches in THE Afc north Uh
Zach taylor Won hardball Two tomlin, Three stefanski. FOUR i
(02:00:46):
got Tom zach, landslide, Honestly, Tomlin Harball Taylor Stefank no, Way,
Yeah Zach taylor runs circles around those.
Speaker 2 (02:00:55):
Dudes blagger is standing. By its Like ogger run circles
around us with kids coming. Up Sam mall just took the.
Mound let's get pumped.
Speaker 3 (02:01:05):
Up Mall.
Speaker 2 (02:01:06):
Ball he just threw one into the backstock ON espn
fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports. Station thanks To Penn.
Speaker 1 (02:01:11):
Station from THE espn fifteen Thirty Cincinnati Sports, Station it's
time For cincy three sixty quickits ON espn fifteen.
Speaker 3 (02:01:21):
Looking For moe's in the. Building it's a big, day.
Mo is it? True you don't eat peanut? BUTTER i.
DON'T i don't like peanut. Butter do you eat recy? Cups?
No because they have peanut butter? Them, OKAY i like.
PEANUTS i don't like peanut, butter But i'll eat A reese.
Cap when did you find this out THAT i don't
like peanut? Butter, Yeah kindergarten stuck with you ever. Since.
Speaker 17 (02:01:41):
Yeah so when my daughter has to take like, medicine
the taste, GROSS i will eat a spoonful of peanut
butter in front of.
Speaker 3 (02:01:47):
Her, oh so we both do something we don't. Like very,
good that's, nice that's. Nice i'm a good, dad BUT
i only peanut. Butter so what did you eat growing?
Speaker 7 (02:01:54):
Up?
Speaker 3 (02:01:55):
Like not peanut butter and jelly as you replaced them with?
What baloney, sandwich ham, sandwiches turkey. SANDWICHES i used to
eat ketchup sandwiches WHEN i was a, KID i. Understand,
yeah did you ever eat butter? BREAD i had butter,
bread just butter and. Bread.
Speaker 17 (02:02:11):
YEAH i people find this weird ABOUT i love, peanuts
like a bag of peanuts at the ballpark is.
Speaker 3 (02:02:16):
Perfect PEANUT m AND. M sign me. UP i cannot
stand peanut. Butterer i'm kind of like that with you,
know LIKE i like, ketchup BUT i hate.
Speaker 17 (02:02:23):
TOMATOES i can't eat like a tomato by, itself, right
BUT i need a tomato on a.
Speaker 3 (02:02:30):
Sandwich. WRONG i love tomatoes and.
Speaker 17 (02:02:32):
DIFFERENT i love tomatoes on a, sandwich but like just
a slice of tomatoes with like cheese on, it just
all like my daddy used to.
Speaker 3 (02:02:38):
Eat, Yeah i'm. GOOD i just learned this about you.
Today teraren came in and told. Me karen AND i
are big peanut butter. GUYS i know you guys.
Speaker 17 (02:02:44):
Are we just had a twenty five minute discussion out
in the hallway because busy day at the office here
and everybody was and, Like i'm not anti peanut, BUTTER i.
Speaker 3 (02:02:52):
Just don't prefer the taste off.
Speaker 12 (02:02:53):
It.
Speaker 3 (02:02:53):
Right, Okay, wow what do you got coming up on
your show?
Speaker 17 (02:02:56):
Today, well let me just tell you about coming to work,
today BECAUSE i took the.
Speaker 3 (02:03:01):
Mouse.
Speaker 17 (02:03:01):
Yep sometimes SOMETIMES i take the mouse from the. COMPUTER
i don't do it. Intentionally and my my goal here
was to be here before noon when you guys went
on the, air and as you, NOTICED i got here
like twelve o. Five, Sure and the reason IS i
just stop At low's on the way here to take
something back to make a. RETURN i bought an item
On monday and it turned OUT i had to take
(02:03:22):
it back, today SO i thought this was gonna be
a quick and easy. Transaction but in front of me
in line was a guy who was trying to return
a half used can of.
Speaker 3 (02:03:32):
Paint oh, no.
Speaker 10 (02:03:35):
You.
Speaker 17 (02:03:35):
CAN i didn't know, this but you can return like
an unused can of. Pain he used the can of
pain and is explaining to the woman behind the, counter, like,
yeah we painted a wall and a half and we
decide we don't like the. Color and the woman's like,
well and she's trying and eventually like she needs so
she looks at me and just gives me that look
like AND i, said, FINALLY i, interject AND i, go you,
(02:03:58):
know like you can't return like a half eaten. Sandwich,
Yeah and this guy wanted nothing to do with, me
and so they had to call over a. MANAGER i
don't think he got his money. Back but then, like you,
know just throw paint in the, garbage so they had
to take.
Speaker 3 (02:04:12):
THEM i, mean it was just. Weird.
Speaker 17 (02:04:13):
Wow and this like little verbal transaction with the people
At low's and this guy is what it's like for
me WHEN i have to explain to people why bunting
his bad strategy like.
Speaker 3 (02:04:24):
It was last.
Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Night thank You, Mo thank You. Mo, Now, austin what you?
DID mo is in here getting THE tv set Up
as you were describing that you thought the bunk could
have been the right play last, NIGHT.
Speaker 3 (02:04:36):
I, SAID i didn't hate, it so AND i know
WHAT mo posted the win percentage and the. IMPACT i get.
IT i understand that they played for one. Run they
got one. Run now the good news is they're. Winning, yeah,
right is he spendcy long, Balls spandcy long. Balls now
you're getting.
Speaker 17 (02:04:51):
IT i didn't know that you've been doing the tucky
long balls thing for as long as you. Have oh my,
god FOREVER i did A twitter search of your name in.
Longballs you've been doing like you were in the eighth.
Grade is somebody who appreciates a, long drawn Out.
Speaker 3 (02:05:05):
Twitter like, Stick i'm here for.
Speaker 17 (02:05:08):
It that's not a. CRITICISM i. FEEL i don't like
playing for one run there for a couple of different.
Reasons freedo's a good, hitter doesn't hit into a lot
of double. Plays the weather is, coming that game might
go five. Innings you need to have the. Lead you
got to play for multiple.
Speaker 3 (02:05:24):
Runs.
Speaker 17 (02:05:25):
Now there are situations Like i'm usually anti, bunt there
are times WHERE i understand. IT sayda saw it coming
ON tv last night because he Asked Jeff, brantley like
