how the show's going to go today? Did you see
recently that there was a guy who said he will
not use Bluetooth headphones because he worries about the like
frequency and that like people are listening to his thoughts
and stuff like that. Of course, which makes sense kind

of why Aaron Rodgers would be one to not wear
the wired or the wireless headphones. Now we're thinking a
little bit here, isn't that crazy? Now we're thinking a
little bit Now, what's that mean for me? So I
use these? One of my best investments. Ever was this
pair of headphones that I use every day? These are

But they're both wired and wireless. Oh yeah, So what
does that mean for me? You're in trouble. I feel
like maybe I'm safer could be. Do you ever think
about how the amount of time that we spend around

where I'll have like my phone next to my bed
and I'll put it as far away as possible because
I'm worried about like the frequency in the and the waves.

I'll just leave it on the bed next to me.

her shotgunning what appeared to be a some sort of
alcoholic beverage. Don't don't let anyone tell you the Commission's

They had the tarp on the in the locker room.

But last night, at halftime of said game, the Red
Panda was performing. And if you are unfamiliar with the
Red pandas worked.

Then where have you been? Where have you been?

What are you doing?

Speaker 2 (04:37):
At this point? She is one of the most beloved
halftime performers of this generation, maybe ever. And last night
during the Commissioner's Cup performance, she was injured at halftime
as she fell off the top of her unicycle that
sits eight feet above the ground. She balances bowls on
her head. She kicks the bowls from her feet and

lands on her head while balancing eight feet off the ground.
And last night she fell and as she tried to
brace her fall, she hurt her wrist. She had to
be helped off the court. Last night, she was invisible pain.
This is also a woman who I believe years ago
got her unicycle stolen after one of her performances.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
That's right, that's true.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
And you just can't help but wonder and think where
would the sports world be if we lose Red Panda?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Because She's an icon, and it seems like every night
during college basketball season, she were a different university performing
and putting on a hell of a show. I believe
I've seen the panda twice. Yep. If I'm not mistake,
you cherish those opportunities. And you know when you see that,
the fact that she does this as frequently as she
does this, and this is the first documented fall. Now,

I mean, every once in a while maybe a bowl
will hit the ground, but even then, and that's more
rare than a hunter green start on the mound, yep.
And for her to fall, devastating, devastating. There was a
the fever went lo and the postgame celebration last night,
there was a lot going on there. Caitlin Clark interrupted

the feed to send best wishes to the Red Panda.
Mark cuban Man chimed in on Twitter's reaching out. He said,
this is awful. Let's hope she is okay. That's what
she is, a legend that every NBA fan is excited
to see show up at halftime. I saw a tone
that she apparently left the arena in an ambulance.

So here's my thought for today. Because the Reds they
only got in three full innings last night. They pick
up their game at two thirty today. We'll get to
that in just a moment. But with the Reds not
finishing their game, it leaves us some time today to
fill different segments. We'll take your phone calls at five, one, three, seven, four, nine,
fifteen thirty. But it got me jotting down a list today,

Austin of in game entertainment that I enjoy. Now, if
you followed along to this show last year, there were
many times where I spoke about the in game entertainment
at UC games that needs to be a little bit better. Sure,
halftime shows in particular, so I wrote down, let me
see here, I've got eight different halftime shows that I enjoy. Okay,
I also wrote down eight different jumbo tron entertainment forms

that I enjoy.

Oh boy, we'll get to those today. This is deep.
I want to know yours today. And you don't even
go to games that off. If you go to a game,
you don't got the guts to show up most of
the time.

Halftime show or you see what's going on in the JumboTron,
or if you follow along with Austin and every time
he goes to a game, he tweets about the Skyline
Chili shuffle. What is your favorite in those settings? We'll
get to that today because that is how deep we're
digging today.

On a Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
For since he three to sixty mentioned the Reds got
suspended last night from their game they trailed two to
one in the top of the fourth. Uh, interesting to
see what's going to happen from a pitching standpoint today.
Sam Mall will be on the mound when the game resumes.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
I think this is the rest.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Yeah, because the night before their bullpen was asked to
go seven and two thirds.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, bullpen gets a little bit of rest. But I
mean Boston had some momentum. Sure, like for whatever reason,
they're just mashing the ball, and so, you know what,
let's bring in Sam Mall. Let's just quiet everything down.
The Reds had scored a run and made it close,
it wasn't a complete game. Give him a chance a
little bit here. Now you mentioned Sam Mall is going

to start the game on the mound today. Question why? Yeah, why? Why? Seriously? Yeah?
Why can't the pitcher from last night, Brady Singer pitch today?
How many pitches had he thrown. He threw like twenty
eight pitches. Yeah, see that that should be okay if
you have a whole day to warm up again. Yeah, Like,
I understand, the routine is long and it's cumbersome and

it's not easy. But if you have, like if you
threw twenty eight pitches and you have the whole day
to warm up again and you can go through that
same routine, if you would have frown like fifty, I
would understand, right, But let me double check it. But
I thought it was like either twenty eight or thirty
three pitches. Yeah, I don't think that's that's not like.

I think that's a lot. That's not ridiculous. Right. Does
somebody know something better than I do? I'm sure many do. Okay,
now this is different. Okay, he threw fifty six pitches. Okay,
he threw fifty six yes in three innings of work.
All right, So yeah, you gotta go sam Mall today.
Then I don't I got bad information. I apologize to
Brady sam Mall. We'll talk about the d Richard give
him fits through thirty out. So I don't know how

I got confused there. We'll discuss what happened with the
Reds last night. My face is red right now. I'm
so embarrassed. We'll talk about Noelve. Marte hit a Grand

and we'll look around the rest of Major League Baseball
in a move that ESPN says that the Reds should
make leading up to the trade deadline. How about how

white and black uniforms. They are on display all over
social media. Now you could check out the uniforms at
Tony Underscore Pike fifteen. What that means today Austin, we'll
talk about the uniforms. Will also talking about the season
outlook for the football program, because really, when you look
at it here Austin, they were able to retain most

of their top talent. They just opened this brand new
indoor facility, they just celebrated year two in the Big twelve,
and now they have new uniforms to go along with it.
There's only thing one thing left to do, win football games.
Start winning some football games. Yeah, here's some other stuff
I wrote down for today. How about the Chiefs mascot?
And no, I'm not talking about Chiefs Ahulock. He's in
jail talking about the Chiefs mascot. Yesterday, Austin he retired.

And I'm like, Oh, they're retiring the mascot, like coming
up with a new mascot. That's not the case. The
man behind the mask is retiring. He did it for
thirty five straight years. Thirty five straight years of being
the mascot. That's dedication. Do we know how long Whodays
been at it?

I don't know how long Hoo Day has been. I
feel like thirty five years is well done. I can't
imagine that the Hooday right now is the Hooday fifteen
years ago, right. I feel like that. I feel like
that's one of those jobs that you you're not there
for very long. Yeah you know what I mean, unless
you're in Kansas City, right then you're there for thirty

How many starts has arch Manning made?

I think like three?

And are we sure that Tim Tebow is the best
quarterback that college football has seen since he stopped playing?

I often like Tim Tebow is one of the people
when you say college football, I think of Tim Tebow.
And that's coming from an Ohio State fan, like he
to me is like the pre eminent college football player
of my lifetime. Yeah, that's like when I think of
college football, I think of Tim Tebow. Is he the

best in the last fifteen years? That's ultimately what it
comes down.

I mean, there's a guy that plays quarterback here in
Cincinnati that would probably have a word with that. The
college football season that.

He put together right now, this is the thing. Is
it an entirety of a career? That's a great question,
or is it a single season? But I'm looking at
like Cam Newton was the year after t Bow, right killed,
Vince Cam was incredible. Vin hung was before Tebow. But
but you're right, Joe Burrow, Yeah, And I'm looking at
like some RG three.

I'm looking at some list. Arch Manning is like the
eighth or ninth ring quarterback right now going into the season.
And fine, boy, I'm saying he's the best since Tebow.

You can't say that for a dude that's like barely
he played. It's insulting.

Maybe he can be, maybe he will be, but he
hasn't done that yet. I just I don't. And the
dude's got to go to Ohio State right week one
for his first like to start as the starter. Yea, Well,
they're defending a national championship. That's a pretty heavy burden

a heavy enough one with his last name. Yeah, it's

about baseball? How about the Arizona Diamondbacks. How about their fan, Austin?

Okay, for four straight seasons he's been involved in a
fan interference play at the ballpark. Yeah, he has now
been suspended for the remainder of the season.

From coming back to the ballpark, he got involved in
another one. Yes, four straight years But here's the thing.
Most of the if I'm not mistaken, the videos that
I've seen, he's helped the Diamondbacks except the last one
where he helped the opposing team. Well, I think if
you got a guy out there who's willing to put

it all on the line for your team, he's turned
out into doubles for the Diamondbacks, and because he turned
a double into an out or whatever it was for
the other team, he now gets kicked out. He got
the boot. Come on, man, he got the boot. By

the way I saw it was on TV the other day.
Have you ever seen the documentary Catching Hell for ESPN. No,
it's about the like it's about Steve Bartman and what
happened in two thousand and three. We need to like
do a series. Maybe we'd talk to like Tom Brennan
or something, because he called that game. Tom called that game.

It kind of shows the strange, eerie comparisons between the
Eve Bartman play and the Bill Buckner play and how
they were kind of connected, and how all the hell
that came with it for Steve Bartman all the hell
that came with it for Bill Buckner. Sure, it's I
highly recommend it. If you're looking for something to do
while you're off this weekend or during Fourth of July

or whatever. It might be catching hell at ESPN documentary
for It's probably twenty years old by now, but it's awesome.
I saw it on TV again the other day. I recommended, Hey,
Lebron's back in Cleveland. He's doing what He's playing golf? Now,
you told me he had a hat on in Cleveland.
Today I saw a picture of Lebron James and I'm

trying to figure out if this is real. I think
it is, but it said, you know, he's golfing at
a golf course in Cleveland and his hat says welcome
home on it still got the sticker on it too,
so it was fresh.

There's an article on Yahoo Sports today that says, Lebron
to Cleveland question mark why heading niece for the crown
could be the move for Lebron James.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Okay, so maybe there's something to us. The East is
wide open, maybe there's something to this. Cleveland was very
good last year. Maybe there's something to this. The Spider
and Lebron, Spider and the King. Yeah, sounds like a
children's book.

Saw you were you were getting all jacked up earlier
today about the Madden twenty six franchise mode that.

Was real used today. I'm jacked up, all right. I
mean you were ready to run through a wall. You
ran out of this room. Listen. I'll tell you something
that I have a few joys in life. That's one
of them. That's one of them. Yeah. I do this
league every year, me and thirty one others. Wow, each
guy controls an NFL team. Sure, And you have to

schedule games and you play, and it's like every two
days it gets forwarded to the next week. And it's competitive.
It's serious. We got to like stream the games, all
of it, and it really is one of the things
that gets my competitive juice is going. You know, some
people play pickleball or maybe in a bowling league, softball,

even golf leagues on Thursdays. I know you do that.
The yid man does that. Now I played Madden. She
might explain why I'm a little overweight. There's one other
thing I have to get to. And it happened before

Reds in the community fund. Yes, guy Michael Anderson, Yeah,

dropped off a box for us as they are celebrating
Austin twenty five years with the Reds Community Fund, and
they got the telethon coming up right. This is a
big deal, all right, This is happening on July eighth.
It is an hour long pregame show, game production, post
game show that's going to highlight programs and raise funds

for the Reds Community Fund. So you're going to be
learning throughout the broadcast what the Reds Community Fund does,
many of the baseball and softball themed outreach initiatives that
they do, twenty five years of the Reds Community Fund,
the partnership and impact that they have in the community,

the renovation efforts that they've made on countless fields throughout
the community. They got youth development through the Reds Little
Sluggers League and Red's Fun at Bat programs, the Reds
Nike RBI team celebrating nineteen student athletes. There is so
much happening. And they were nice enough to drop back
drop a giftbox off today.

Yeah, with a nice note. I said, thanks for all
the Reds talk on since he three to sixty. We
certainly appreciate them. And if you're unfamiliar, even though it's
been twenty five years. With what the Red's Community Fund

Last night here, let's uh, let's get through last night
and what the game was that we were able to
get through three full innings at Fenway Park and.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
A lot of work for Brady Singer. Yeah, fifty six
pitches through those three innings. He struck out four, he
walked to He gave up two earned runs and three hits.
He gave up both runs in the first inning. The
Reds were able to get one back in the third. Austin,
what did you make in the third when the Red
Reds put Will Benson and Cees on with no outs

(22:51):
and they decided to bunt TJ. Friedel In the moment,
I didn't mind it. Yeah, honestly, try to get something
going here. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I if it was anyone but Freedel or probably Ellie,
I would have been good with it. But Freedel, to me,
is one of your best hitters. Well he's also the
best bunter. Yeah, But I feel like in that sense,
you got a chance for a big inning first and second,
no outs, here comes the top of your lineup. I

(23:22):
just feel like Fredo, if he gets a hit there,
then you're you're looking at a big inning. Instead, you
sacrifice him over. McClain grounds out for an RBI and
then Ellie flies out and you end up only getting
one run out of it, which felt like a little
bit of a momentum shift. But as we sit here today,
it's two to one Boston. They're gonna pick it up
in the top of the fourth inning. Austin Hayes will

be the batter for the Cincinnati Reds and Sam mal
will be the pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds. Anything obviously
in a short sample size else that stands out to
you from last night, just going back to the.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Bunch, Like I thought, in that moment, you're turning the
lineup over, you stay out of the double play. Friedo's
your best bunter. He could bunt for a hit like
I get like where in probably from like a win
percentage thing. It probably doesn't change anything. But I didn't
hate it. I didn't think it was like the worst
move in the world, especially just to try to get

something going and pull within one run. So I really
don't don't think it was that big of a deal.
The big thing to me, you know, the way that
Boston once again jumped all over Brady Singer with a
leadoff double by Jared Duran and then another double by
Rome and Anthony and eventually a single. You know, they
have a really good plan. It seems like for Red's pitching.

(24:40):
How do the Reds adjust to that. You know, we
saw a little bit of an adjustment from Singer as
the game went on. But ye know, I think it's
a good thing. Take some of that momentum, take it
away from him. You got this longer day where you're
gonna have to play basically two full games. I think
it can be a good thing for the Reds, just
kind of reset they're not I mean, they're coming from behind.

(25:01):
But also it's like you don't today, you probably don't
go out there, go out there and feel like you
got punched in the mouth again. Yeah, and you have
the chance to be the ones punching it in the
mouth to start start this game today. So I think
it can be a good thing for them. I mean,
not only the bullpen getting an extra day of rests,
but still it just kind of takes some of that
momentum from Boston.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, I think so. I think it does give you
that opportunity. Again, I just I don't agree if if
you have if you got the bottom of the order
up and you want to lay down a bunch and
try to get something out of it, Okay, but with TJ.
Friedel coming up, no outs, why are you taking the
bat out of the best, the best contact guy you
have on the team.

Freedom's been in a bit of a slump player, yeah,
but a slump compared to how he's been the rest
of the year.

But you're essentially bunning to throw it to a guy
and Matt McLean who's sitting two twelve.

arch Manning this offseason has been studying Joe Burrow and

he's emulated two of the best quarterback in football. So
check that box, right. But as far as the best
quarterback since Tebow, I think it comes down to two quarterbacks. Obviously,

it's Joe Burrows twenty nineteen at LSU, and I still
find it almost comical that Borrow was thrown to Jami
Chase and Justin Jefferson because here we are six years
later and I make the case the best quarterback in
the NFL and the two best receivers in the NFL
were on the same college team. That's damn scary if
I was to put one quarterback above Joe during that
period of time. And it's nothing to do with Joe

Borrow not doing something, because his numbers in twenty nineteen
almost look ridiculous. It has to be Cam Newton because
in twenty ten with Auburn, he didn't have that much
around him. I believe on that entire roster there are
only two other NFL players, and he was coming from
behind h A.

He was running the football. He was sensational. So I
would say that Cam Newton and Joe Burrow clearly the
two best quarterback in a single season since can Tebow
people in totality was phenomenal like that, But watching him

around him, and he had a heck of a defense
as well around him, much like like Joe Burrow did.
But Austin mentioned earlier that the year that RG three
put together, Baker Mayfield had a heck of a run
at Oklahoma. You could put some other quarterbacks up there.
I I just stopped short for a guy like Arch
Manning when he's made what two or three starts in

his college career to come out and say, oh, well,
he's he's the next best quarterback since since Tim Teba.

I think that's hard to.

Go out on a limb and say if you've not
seen him make some of those starts, especially when you're
gonna put that pressure on. He's gonna have to go
to Ohio State week.

But he plays differently than his buncles. He's a better
athlete than his uncles. He's kind of a hybrid. If
he's as good as we think he is, he might
be a hybrid of Joe Burrow and Josh Allen, which
will be really scary. I don't think he's quite the
pure passes that Joe Burrow is, but I don't think
anybody in the NFL is. I think he's the purest
of all the passers. But yeah, we haven't seen much

of them. I kind of wish they played him more
last year they may have won the national championship. We
know they're the only team that really gave Ohio State
any trouble in the tournament, and maybe the difference would
have been if if he had been playing. But I
think he's gonna be fantastic. But again, yeah, we don't know.
We've seen the Trevor Lawrence. Trevor Lawrence was the highest
rated quarterback to come out since Luck and he's been

a disappointment in his five years at Jacksonville. So again,
when you judge these guys and Tony, you know, this
is better than all of us. When you judge these guys,
it's more than just the physical talent. It's the personality.
It's the brain, it's the heigh, it's the ability to
deal with something. I just want to tell a quick
story before I leave Trevor Lawrence. I remember his rookie
or second year, he was given a press conference outside

and there was a bee that was near him and
he seemed so distracted by this bee. The first thing
that came to mind to me is how is he
going to deal with debris in the pocket when there's
three hundred pound alignemen trying to kill him? Yeah, and
how is he going to really stand up to that
