Speaker 2 (00:42):
Welcome into the Monday Midday Quarterback. How about the Bearcats? Baby,
let's get it started here on a Monday, A lot's
a lot to discuss. I get it. We're frustrated, we're mad,
we're angry, but the show goes on. We're not stopping.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
We turn the heat up even more. We've got a
Bengals loss to break down. I think the term demoralizing
is pretty much the easiest way to look at what
happened yesterday, because for the first time I think ever
watching a Bengals game that I can remember, I truly
didn't feel like they had a chance to win by
the time the ball was kicked off to the time
the game ended. Just never felt like they were a

(01:24):
threat to win the game yesterday, and I think that
is a failure on so many levels based on how
the roster has been built, how they've been coached, and
how they've been executing. We're gonna talk a lot about
Duke Tobin, We're gonna talk a lot about Zach Taylor.
At some point players got to execute as well. Now,
who is putting those players in the opportunities to execute?

(01:44):
Who is deciding which players have the best chance to execute? Fair?
That is coaching, and I one hundred percent get it.
But we have a lot to sift through today. We
can play the wheel of blame game. I asked last night,
got a lot of responses, and I feel like every

(02:05):
response is about the same between Zach and Duke Tobin.
You can individually talk about position groups like the O
line and the play of the quarterback. But one of
the things I'm gonna drive home today, Austin, and I
want to get your thought on it as well. I
just did another series of video breakdowns on x Tony
Underscore Pike fifteen. You can go watch him and in

(02:27):
a lot of those breakdowns, there are plays to be made,
and Jake Browning just isn't making them. Whether it's a
poor throw or a poor read, he's not making the throws.
So you could say, well, then it's on the job
of the quarterback. But Austin, who has been the biggest
supporter of the quarterback, Zach Taylor, the head Zach Taylor
football team, you're putting him out there. You're saying that, Hey,

(02:49):
I'm putting my stake in this guy, and he's letting
you down. And he did so after the game again
and talking more about yeah, we've got trust, We've got
faith ins in Jake Browning. That to me is a miss,
and not to me is why the seat for Zach
Taylor right now is scorching hot? Scorching hot for us

(03:14):
or hit the fan base, hit the breaking news sounder.
You just said, what scorching hot for us? So that
would mean me and me, you us together?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
You.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I feel like Zach Taylor should no longer be the
head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. Oh my goodness. Now
I say that knowing that it will be at least
at least seven to ten days before we we get
to that point. I think if I were circling a

(03:52):
spot on my calendar, I would circle Friday, October seventeenth,
because if the current trend continues, which is at the
Bengals are fourteen and a half point underdogs at Green Bay,
and then they have a standalone Thursday night game at home,
and the Bengals continue to be embarrassed the way that
they have been embarrassed, I don't know how you can

(04:15):
justify bringing Zach Taylor back. So this is this is flooring.
I thinkbelievable. More than anything that the straw that's that
broke the camel's back for me yesterday was the way
that Zach handled Jake Browning. And you and I have

(04:36):
disagreed in the past, and just two weeks ago disagreed
about whether or not they should go and get another quarterback.
And I'm not afraid to say, hand up, I was
wrong on that. I was I thought it wouldn't matter
because the offensive line was playing so poorly and blah
blah blah. Well, the run game has at least showed
signs of life, and the pass blocking has at least

(04:56):
been halfway decent and as you have outlined both on
this show and on your Twitter account, there are plays
there to be made that Jake Browning isn't making. And
so on one hand, I can look at that and say, yeah,
Zach Taylor is putting guys in the right position, and
if he had a quarterback to operate the offense more efficiently,

(05:21):
maybe some of these games are different. But I also
look at the way Jake Browning played yesterday in one
of the worst quarterback performances I have ever seen by
a professional, and then to see him walking off the field,
slamming his hands into his helmet, grabbing onto his face,
look broke completely, crashing out on the sidelines and having

(05:45):
what the kids call these days a mente B, which
is a mental breakdown. I thought to myself, Zach Taylor
can't put him back out there, and he did, and
it kept getting war. My fear from yesterday though, is Hey,
they played good in the fourth quarter. You know we're

(06:06):
figuring some stuff out. Gained some confidence there on the
fourth Austin, how many dbs went out during the game
for Detroit yesterday, at least three? I would think you
think in the they were already kind of thin there.
You think in the fourth quarter when they led twenty
eight to three after three that they were going to
dial anything up. Probably not. Do you think they were
just going to make sure that they get out of
there and are able to to continue on the path

(06:29):
that they're on. The long touchdown by Jamar Chase sixty
four yarder a great double move, but really a poor
play by that long Yeah, I was third and fourteen
and he was running up to the sticks and Jamar
just ran right by him. To put it into perspective
on on I guess how bad it was. Before that

(06:49):
fourth quarter, Jamar Chase caught six passes for one hundred
and ten yards and two touchdowns. But Austin, if you
look at the insights, most of his production came against
off cover. Bridge Late in the game, he had four
catches in ninety seven yards on off coverage from the
Detroit Lions defense. Unfortunately, through those first three quarters, Austin

(07:11):
Jake Browning was two for nine for forty yards and
three interceptions on passes ten yards or more in the air.
That's not great, not great. Chase brown Austin yesterday had
seven catches for twenty one yards Detroit knew the check
down was coming, they defended it when opportunities presented themselves.
Jake Brownie neither missed the read or missed the throw.

(07:32):
There was a questionable flea flicker called in the fourth quarter. Austin,
you pointed out today, and it's what I imagined yesterday.
They don't line up under center much, and when they do,
they don't run the ball in between the tackles much.
And yet with twelve minutes left in the game, in
an eighteen point deficit, the Bengals must have thought that

(07:54):
Detroit was going to bite up on the under center
run on a flea flicker, and then Orlando Brown Junior
just whiffs and it's a complete disaster. But there's so
many holes and there are so many questions. There's not
a lot of talent on this team. There are a
few bright spots, there's not a lot of talent from
the eleven on defense and the eleven on offense. I

(08:16):
thought special teams was poor yesterday. Again, we'll talk about
the defense, who I thought at times competed. I thought
at times did a heck of a job. They held
Detroit to fourteen in the first half. But when Detroit
needed to go get points, and when Detroit felt threatened,
they walked right down the field and got points. So
I don't know how to feel about the defense. The

(08:37):
d line I thought was better for sacks seven. Quarterback
kits Trey Hendrickson played well. We'll talk about snap count,
takeaways on offense and defense. I want to talk about
Zach Taylor and Jake Browning more Austin before the touchdown
for the Bengals, nineteen straight possessions without a touchdown in

(08:58):
the National Football League, Nineteen straight possessions. At one point,
Jamar Chase was tied for the team lead in tackles
with three at one point in the second quarter, Jake
Browning had more interceptions than yards per completion, and they're
a fourteen and a half point underdog at Green Bay.
As you mentioned, there is so much to sift through

(09:21):
for the Cincinnati Bengals, and we'll do so for much
of today. Also, we would be remissed Austin not to
mention the Bearcats who beat Iowa State thirty eight to thirty.
They were up thirty eight to seven at one point
on the fourteenth ranked team in the country. It was
Austin the complete opposite of what I watch on Sundays
with the Bengals. It was one of the most dominant

(09:41):
and physical offensive line performances I've ever seen. Yeah, Iowa
State came into the game giving up one hundred and
eighteen yards on the ground per game. UC had two
sixteen at halftime. Two hundred and sixteen rushing yards. Just
line up here it comes. We're gonna out physical you,
we're going to out scheme you, and we're gonna punch

(10:01):
you in the mouth, and there's nothing you can do
about it. So impressed upfront by the Bearcats, Impressed by
Brendan Soarsby, who for much of the game wasn't great
throwing the ball, and then completes an eighty two yard
to Caleb Goodie when the team needed it. The most phenomenal,
phenomenal win for the UC Bearcats. They are ten and

(10:22):
a half point favorite right now when they do it
again on Saturday against UCF the Knights coming into Knippert Stadium.
That is a noon start, and the Bearcats right now,
apevol ap pole is out. They are twenty sixth technically
in the Ape pole, so just outside the top twenty five.
Somehow Austin. They are still ranked behind Iowa State and

(10:44):
Penn State. Somehow still ranked after the worst loss that
I can remember in years in college football. Oh Man
doesn't get anywhere rank. He did say something about the
travel post game. Oh yeah, it's tough. I mean, obviously
a tough place to play there in the Rose Bowl
at about fourteen percent capacity with UCLA and what seventeen
thousand people there or something like that. I mean, that's

(11:07):
just it's James Franklin to a t I hope he
is the Penn State coach forever. Yeah. Shout out to
the crowd at the University of Cincinnati Nippert Stadium was fantastic.
On Saturday, we'll talk more about the Bearcats. FC Cincinnati
wins over New York one to oh over the weekend.
They host Montreal on October eighteenth, but they can no
longer clinch the supporter Shield that was clinched by Philly.

(11:28):
But FC Cincinnati did win their match over the weekend
as well. MLB Playoffs Dodgers come from behind to beat
the Philadelphia Phillies. They're up one to oher in their series.
The Blue Jays have dominated the Yankees with power and
with home runs through two games. They're up two to
OHO on the Yankees Tigers Mariners. Tigers win Game one
and eleven innings on the road. They get skewball in

(11:50):
Game two, but the Mariners find a way to win.
They even up the series, and the Brewers dominated the
Cubs in Game one. They are up one to ohero
in their series as well. I wonder Austin in today's chaos,
which is college football the wild wild West? Many have
called it. Is it illegal for the UC offensive line

(12:11):
to play on Sunday and then go play on or
could play on Saturday and then go play on Sunday
as well. I don't think it works that way, all right.
I did just get an update on my phone from
the ESPN app. It says put some respect on Soresby. Yeah.
I saw on three Sports has him number ten in
the Heisman race. Yeah, let's go. I mean, how could
you not the way he's played, completing passes, doing it

(12:32):
a little bit in the run game, looked really sharp man.
I said on Saturday late in that game that I
thought his touchdown late was the most impressive one he's
thrown this year because he wasn't sharp throughout the afternoon,
and when you're not sharp, it's very easy to kind
of just hang your head or get frustrated. He was
only thirteen to twenty five on the day, but backs

(12:56):
against the wall, momentum starting to swing a little bit.
I state, feeling like they had a chance. He hits
Caleb Goodie on an absolute dime for eighty two yards
and a touchdown and essentially clinches the game. So I
think it says more about a quarterback when they're not
on their a game and then they come up with
the biggest play of the game when you need them
the most, and they were able to do it. Jake

(13:17):
Golde is phenomenal for the Bearcats. He flies around the ball.
It was great getting Dante Corleone back. You want to
find something exciting, watch the one two punch of Tyee
Walker and Evan Pryor. Oh and it is a punch.
It is Tye Walker. Two of the best truck sticks
you'll ever see on the same guy. Not sure how
that guy can even play football again. And then they

(13:40):
just low you tosleep. He wants to run you over
and then Pryor gets the ball ten carries one hundred
and eleven yards two touchdowns. It reminds me, what was it,
what was the other guy's named, old school USC they
like the thunder and Lightning. It was Reggie Bush and
Hill Lyndel Lendel White. Yeah, it reminds me on a
different level of them. It almost kind of reminds me

(14:00):
of what the Lions do with Montgomery and Gibbs. Two
guys that are completely different runners, but they mesh so
well together, and the Bearcat's got it rolling in a big,
big way. We will start to pick apart yesterday's loss
for the Cincinnati Bengals. After that, we'll take your phone calls.
We'll talk about what Zach Taylor had to say after

(14:21):
the game, which I'm still trying to wonder if this
is AI or not, but I think it's actually what
Zach Taylor said. I don't trust a lot of things
with AI anymore, but I believe we have confirmation that
these are actual quotes that Zach Taylor had to say
after yesterday's loss. We'll get to those. We'll get to
your talkbacks. At two o'clock. I am going to head
to Twin Peaks in Westchester for the Tony and Moe

(14:43):
Football Show. Austin will have our number three. Wish I
could come today, Man, it'd be a good one. I
really would like to be there. It'd be a good one.
I could sense from Mo yesterday. Austin the frustration, very
very much an optimist most times and Mo. I've often
talked about Mo when it gets close to game time.
He is finding a way to talk himself into whatever

(15:05):
team he's rooting for, is gonna find a way to win.
We struggled to do that yesterday, and with that performance
that was put on display, I am eager and excited
to get a chance to talk to Mo this afternoon
as well. That'll be from three to six again Twin
Peaks in Westchester, So if you can come on out
to that, please do so. If not, listen along right
here on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. We're just

(15:25):
getting started on the home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen thirty,
Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
Now your chance to win it thouts.

Speaker 6 (15:33):
This is Football in the NATI, brought to you by
Hey During Window Company on ESPN fifteen thirty, the official
home of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Welcome back Monday midday Quarterback ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Days.
That's so funny, man, I'm just thinking about the Bengals, Like,
what what are you thinking about? Just laugh? Play calls,
play designs, the flee flicker. Mostly. Yeah, that wasn't good.
Let's start with the defense overall, fourteen points at the half,

(16:12):
giving up. They did get after a rookie left tackle
and had some success. They had four sacks overall, Hendrickson
had two of them. Seven quarterback hits. Again, fourteen points
at the half to Detroit. That's good football. It did
feel though every time Detroit needed to go and get
points they did so without much resistance. How do you

(16:36):
rank and feel about the defensive performance yesterday? They didn't
get embarrassed. I thought there were some good starts, some
good moments.

Speaker 7 (16:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
I mean, Detroit's one of the best offenses in the
NFL and the Bengals are one of the worst defenses
in the NFL, so I could have got really bad. Yeah,
and I never really felt like it got that way.
I thought that there were some good moments. There was
one played down by the goal line where I thought TJ.
Slayton made a great move. There was one where McKinley
Jackson actually made a play that I thought looked pretty good.

(17:08):
But from a snap to snap basis, there is so
much inconsistency on the front four. Sometimes they're getting driven
back three or four yards. I didn't think bj Hill
played well. And then there are times when they actually
take it to the offensive line. And obviously every protection,
in every call and design, it is different and you

(17:28):
never know exactly what the assignment is until you look
at it on film. But they are an inconsistent group,
I think is safe to say. But Geno Stone has
these moments where he just appears to be brain dead.
Cam Taylor britt Oh, he's legitimately one of the worst

(17:49):
defenders I've ever watched with the Bengals, and that's saying
a lot. I mean, that's Nick vigil type of territory
and yet that he's in right now. When you look
at the snap counts, he was given twenty two of them,
Josh Newton only three. What's that say about Josh Newton.
I think Josh Newton has a problem covering NFL wide receivers.
I think Josh Newton also gets his assignments mixed up
quite a bit. Logan Wilson looks slow. Hey, Logan Wilson

(18:12):
went from getting his naps taken away to play in
every single one yesterday. He looked slow to me. Yep,
looked a little bit on athletic. There was a play
down on the sideline where he's in the right position,
he makes a good pursuit and with the most simple
foot in the ground move, Jamiir Gibbs just goes right
by him like he was standing still. Yeah, and you

(18:33):
know it's like that Mark Jackson meme where he says,
what happened to the game I love? I was looking
at Logan Wilson just getting run by, and I'm thinking,
what happened to the linebacker that I love? And you know,
guy gets a contract, he has a kid, he has
a debilitating knee injury. All that happens really quickly, and
maybe you're just not the same player anymore. But let
me ask you about a couple of these snaps kind

(18:54):
of takeaways. I was looking at, Okay, Trey Hendrickson's the
best player they have available. Do you alb with Trey
Hendrickson playing sixty percent of the snaps? Yes? I do,
And especially because all off season I was told how
great Trey takes care of himself and takes care of
his body and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah blah. Do you know, well, getting a damn game?
Do you know that, uh Joseph Osaia actually had more

(19:16):
snaps in the game than hendrickson yesterday? I don't understand.
And I understand Trey at one point and for that
were using them in coverage though, so he's got more coverage.
Snap late in the game, when the Bengals had finally
actually put themselves in position to like be in the game, yep, Trey.
Trey's hand got banged up and so he goes to
the sideline to get taped. It looked like and there

(19:38):
was only ten guys on the field and they immediately
had to burn a timeout. Yep, that little stuff right there,
you gotta get cleaned down. And also even before that,
and I don't know how many snaps Trey missed on
that particular series. It wasn't much because he was right
back in relatively quickly. But even then, I have a
hard time understanding why he's only getting how many percent,

(19:59):
sixty percent, sixty percent of the snap yesterday? I don't
get that at all some other Trey Hendrickson is the
guy that we were told he is. All This freaking
fan base has just been all over Trey Hendrickson for
being the greatest thing since sliced bread. Why is he
playing sixty percent of the snaps on a day where

(20:20):
some mar Stewart's not available?

Speaker 8 (20:21):
Exactly?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
You you have got to play more when you're already shorthanded.
And I don't know who to blame on that. Trey
Hendrickson maybe, uh, but I believe he's got elevators in
his contract for playtime, doesn't he? You think I don't know?
Al Golden perhaps well, on the other side, also tell
me about Demetrius Night Junior. Let's talk about that first.

Speaker 9 (20:41):
Well.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
On the other side, Cam Sample thirty two percent of
the snaps, Miles Murphy twenty one percent. So now your
former first round pick is getting his snaps taken by
Cam Sample, who was also used in past coverage yesterday.
Why I will say this, we know who Miles Murphy is, right,
Just not that another failure of a draft pack. Yeah, okay,

(21:01):
Logan Wilson played one hundred percent of the snaps. Your
other three linebackers, Oran Burks played twenty one percent, Demetrius
Knight played fifty eight percent, Barrett Carter played fifty three percent.
So with Oron Burks, I thought he would play a
lot just because of the nature of Detroit's offense. Yeah,
he's a really good run stopping linebatter. He has had
some moments the last couple of weeks where he's a

(21:22):
good tackler and you're thinking, okay, Oran Burks makes sense,
he'll play. There were these moments, most notably on Detroit's
opening possession, where the Bengals are coming out in this
bear front basically to try to take away that run game.
And what Al Golden is asking his end player, most
specifically Joseph Osi to do here, and this is oftentimes

(21:47):
determined by what we call the strength of the field.
So where the tight end is lined up, that's the
strong side, right, So Joseph Osi is lined up across
from what's it, Sam Laporta. Okay, his job. If Sam
Laporta stays back to block, you go up. You shove

(22:09):
him basically and see if Sam Laporta releases, and if
he does, you drop back into coverage. That was the plan.
I'm gonna say it again with Joseph Osai and Cam Sample.
You drafted Demetrius Knight, who is a really good athlete
who you worked on this specific package with in training

(22:33):
camp where he was standing up on the edge, and
instead you ask Joseph Osai and Cam Sample to be
the guys today. He looked about as stiff as I
would have trying to go out and coverage and space
instead of Demetrious Knight, who at least has more experience
in coverage and can if you need him to rush

(22:54):
the passer a little bit. And to be honest, there's
not that much of a drop off between Si and
Sample rushing the passer as there would be with Demetrius
Knight Junior. And there's a significant drop off in those
two guys in coverage compared to the dark Knight that
I thought was a big miss by al Gol. Too

(23:14):
many times I'm seeing DNZ dropping the coverage on the
tight ends and then I'm seeing linebackers matching up with
Aman Ross Saint Brown. Yeah, make those ideas make sense.
It doesn't. It does not make sense. And you drafted
these linebackers DK, Darius Knight Junior, Dimitrius Night Junior, and
Barrett Carter because of their ability in pass coverage. So

(23:36):
here's the thought, let's use him in pass coach. Oh no, no, no, no, no.
Offensively quick snap count takeaway, they went far less twelve
personnel this game than they have in any other game
this year. Yoshi vash played eighty seven percent of yesterday snaps,
Jamar Chase ninety two. You'd never guess this. Austin T.
Higgins only missed two snaps in the game, yet they

(23:58):
couldn't find a way to get him the a catch
more than three times for twenty two yards. That's a
whole other conversation that we're gonna have to have. But
Mike Kasicki only played fifty percent of the snaps, Drew
Sample forty four percent, Noah Fan twenty four percent. Tanner
Hudson played one snap. Far less twelve personnel seemed to
be one of the adjustments that the Bengals were gonna

(24:18):
try yesterday. I don't think we saw really any improvement
from them going with twelve to them not going with
twelve personnel. The only other thing to me that stood
out outside of that one rep by Dalton Reisner Chase
Brown fifty three percent of the snaps Samaj p Ryan
forty seven percent, almost a fifty to fifty split between

(24:42):
Chase Brown and Samaj p Ryan. And it's not like
Samaj was in there just a pass blot.

Speaker 7 (24:47):
No.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
He ran the football four times for twenty seven yards
and Chase Brown ran the football eight times for twenty
seven yards. I thought Samaj looked pretty good running the ball.
And you know, I don't know exactly how there's so
many plays that you can go through and say, okay, well,
if this person had gotten his block, Chase Brown might

(25:08):
score a touchdown. And you don't always say that with
a guy like Samaj jp Ryan. But I thought he
performed well, especially on special teams. Brought the wood on
Khalif Raymond, which was pretty cool to see. But yeah,
I mean, I thought it was a tough stat line.
Chase Brown had seven catches for twenty one yards. Three
yards of catch. That tells me Jake Browning just trying

(25:28):
to dump it down and the defense was like, okay,
we know that's coming. You could if Jake Browning could
process even at a fraction faster, that might be seven
catches for eighty yards. Yep. It's like the times he
has a chance to throw to Chase Brown, he's late.
And the times that he does throw to Chase Brown,
he misses somebody else. That's what is so good about

(25:51):
Joe Burrow, and Joe always talks about the idea of
just finding completions. Joe is superpower. Is that ability to
process at the snap? Okay, not there, not their checkdown
and you get the ball to Chase Brown, or you
get the ball to Drew Sample, or you get the
ball to somebody coming out of the backfield quickly enough
that then go get your four or five yards and
keep you ahead of the sticks. Jake Browning, it's like

(26:13):
he'll wait and wait and wait and wait. Is anybody
can come up? Okay, now I'll check it down. By
that point, they're already moving in position to bring your
your ball carrier down. Then the situation late in the
game where he threw the interception to Alex Anzeloni. You know,
I've never played quarterback in the National Football League like
you have, but I do think I probably could have
gotten back to my checkdown and thrown it there. And

(26:36):
the way for Jake Browning did because that took so long.
And oh, by the way, one of your checkdowns on
that play was Jamar Chase separation, what are we doing?
It's frustrating. Demetrius and I had how many snaps again,
Demetrious percentage uhift eight percent? And you know he led
the team in tackles. Oh maybe that warrant's playing more

(27:00):
a TfL as well. You know he he he played
uh twenty six less snaps than Logan Wilson. Jamar Chase
had more tackles than Trey Henderson yesterday. Actually, can I
read it? I want to give you a list here please,
Trey Uh Jamar Chase had more tackles than Chris Jenkins,
Cam sample Orren Burks, Trey Henderson, Cam Taylor, Britt, Mike Penel,

(27:22):
Miles Murphy, samaj p Ryan Tyson, Anderson Shaka Hey were
Josh Newton, DJ Turner, McKinley Jackson, Oh my lord, what
are we doing?

Speaker 10 (27:33):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I gotta, I do, gotta Before we end this segment,
shout out to Evan McPherson because he didn't hear no
damn bell Now. I was fighting for that on side kick,
and I was glad to see some of that attitude
from Evan McPherson. He's not afraid. Yeah, he was getting
in the scrum. Shout out to man, he's probably sore
as hell today. Shout out to f he ain't been
hit like that in a while. What a night, What

(27:55):
a day, What a day to react. We'll start with
some of your reactions next Monday, midday Quarterback on the
home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 6 (28:05):
You've been listening to football in the NATI on ESPN
fifteen thirty, the official home of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
This is what it sounds like to win out though,
ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 11 (28:24):
Third down and eight, Cats at their own eighteen yard line.
Soresby catches the shotgun snap.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
He's looking to throw.

Speaker 11 (28:30):
Floats it high and deep downfield. Good even a catch
racing to the forty thirty twenty fifty.

Speaker 8 (28:36):
Ten five touchdown.

Speaker 11 (28:40):
Fair Cats eighty two yards and in case you're wondering,
no penalty flags.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Unbelievable. What a throw from Brendan Soarsby. He's been all
a couple times today on that deep ball. Couldn't place
it any better on that one. They took the aggressiveness
of Biawa State, especially on the back end the safety
comes up good, he gets over the top, Soresby lays
it up and the rest is history. What an unbelievable

(29:09):
throw at the biggest moment in the game from Brendan Soresby. Hey,
that sounds like a win Schuler's call of the day.
That sounds like a win Schuler's call of the day.
Thanks to our friends at Win Schulers and their four
fantastic cheese spreads which are perfect for your tailgate, get together, holiday,
get together, whatever it may be, make Win Schuler's part
of your night or day, or party or morning. Maybe

(29:32):
you're a morning cheese guy, maybe you're a morning cheese woman.
Whatever it is, Win Schulers has what you need. I
love Dan's call on that because he made sure to
mention there was no flags at one point, after Matt
Campbell was flagged for going after an official, they called
a penalty on seven straight place against the Bearcats. Seventh

(29:54):
straight amazing. Never seen anything like it. But the Bearcats
overcome that, find a way to get a win and
and put themselves in a good position here in the
Big twelve. Give a shout out to our guy Jim Kelly. Yeah,
praying for him obviously. The news came out. Jim announced
dealing with a cancer battle and is going to be
missing the rest of the season in the booth, So

(30:15):
praying for Jim. I know he listens to the show,
loves the show, and we love him. So hope you
feel better, Jam right, I said this weekend. Jim is
the name Kelly at the University of Cincinnati, from his
dad to Jim to the Hall of Fame. His name
to me means excellence at the University of Cincinnati, and
as high as I hold him on the football side

(30:38):
of things, I hold him even to higher as a person,
genuinely one of the greatest and nicest people you'll ever meet.
And our thoughts and prayers are certainly with Jim Kelly
as he goes through his battle right now, and we
wish him nothing but the best and there for him
every step of the way. Let's take some phone calls.
Let's allow folks to get some stuff off their chest.

(30:59):
Let's start with Jeff. What's up?

Speaker 5 (31:01):
Jeff happy?

Speaker 12 (31:03):
If we'd won the on side kick Monday?

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Jents, Well, you know, if we'd have won the on
side kick, Jeff, Zach Taylor thinks we're winning that game
for sure.

Speaker 12 (31:14):
Is he on Io High School with Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Or something I saw when I when I heard that quote,
I thought it was Ai. I thought it was Ai
generated John. Just you know, we're an onside kick away
from probably winning this game.

Speaker 13 (31:27):
Yeah, yeah, Well, I'm not going to count the weekend
as a total loss. The Yankees are down o to
two because of all those rally killing home runs. Arch
Manning lost again. So there's some bright sides of what happened.
But onto the lost side of the weekend.

Speaker 7 (31:46):
Who's more washed?

Speaker 13 (31:47):
Ted Carrott, Ted Harris or Logan Wilson.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Oh Manichach Taylor?

Speaker 14 (31:54):
Maybe?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Yeah, I think still at this point Carris's play has
just been so poor. But but it's pro probably closer
than I would think.

Speaker 13 (32:03):
Do you think Logan Wilson just does not sit out
Golden's scheme?

Speaker 2 (32:07):
I don't know, because when Al Golden was originally here,
Logan Wilson was fantastic as ane as a linebacker when
Al Golden was coaching him. So maybe it's a scheme.
But as Austin said, nothing about the scheme makes sense
because you got defensive ends dropping into coverage and you
got coverage linebackers that aren't being used in coverage. None
of it makes sense right now?

Speaker 13 (32:27):
Well, and when they ran the wildcat with gofit wide receiver, why.

Speaker 9 (32:30):
Didn't they call time out?

Speaker 13 (32:31):
Nobody knew what was going on on that play. Yep,
it's just easy call a time out and let it reset,
let him know that you know what's coming. So and
then my second thought is there is a waiting list
for season tickets supposedly right, yes, do we know if
they offer those people the first right to buy unused
season tickets?

Speaker 8 (32:51):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I don't know that. I don't think so. I think, yeah,
that was yesterday.

Speaker 13 (33:00):
Out against Pittsburgh, maybe even worse than yesterday.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
I'm worried about the Pittsburgh crowd with how bad that
was yesterday.

Speaker 13 (33:06):
Yesterday was the worst I've ever seen it. It was
just I hope Mike or Katie was sitting in the
owner's box looking across the field at all that blue
on the visitors side. I know they don't care, But
can't we donate unused tickets the youth football programs or
programs that went to the states last year or something
that It seems to make sense to me, but we

(33:31):
know they don't think. What sense down there all the time.
So all right, let's get on to everybody else who
has something to say.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Thank you, Jeff, I appreciate that. Let's go to John,
Let's go to Boston.

Speaker 12 (33:41):
What's up John, Tony Austin, Good afternoon, How are you good?

Speaker 2 (33:46):
How are you good?

Speaker 12 (33:47):
We're hanging in there or hanging in there now. I
have one suggestion. First of all, there are internships available, correct,
So why not have Brendan Swiersby played for the bear
Cats on Saturday as on Sunday?

Speaker 15 (33:58):
Like this?

Speaker 12 (33:59):
I like this, you know, let's not forget that. Jake
Browning in one hundred and twenty four passing attempts this
year eight interceptions, Joe Burrow in six hundred and fifty
two passing attempts last year nine interceptions. So obviously a
downgrade in quarterback to say the least. But I think
we could pin a lot of this on Zach Taylor,
a lot of it on Duke Tobin. But it has
to start with ownership, just the relative cheapness of the organization.

(34:22):
I remember last week you and Moe were talking about
how Denver was susceptible to running backs coming out of
the backfield catching passes. I'm not sure if the Bengals
knew that, because we heard a big story in the
offseason that they double their analytics staffs from one to two.
Now you're going against a bunch of teams like the
Eagles and the Ravens and the Chiefs that have twenty

(34:43):
twenty two to twenty four members of an analytics staff.
So you're playing from behind when it comes to those
types of things. So obviously they have to spend more
money there. I think in a macro aspect, they need
a football zar, you know, someone who can come in
run the football program, general manager, coach, fully staffed coaching staffs,

(35:04):
scouting staffs. But that's not going to happen. That's not
going to happen because this is the one team and
I have this some pretty good sources, guys who cover
the league, that this is the one team that before
the season starts says we are going to make seventy
five million dollars or we're going to make eighty million
dollars and then goes from there. So you can't win
when you have that type of method. Going forward and
looking at Zach Taylor and I'll tweet these out to

(35:27):
you tomorrow eight and twenty six without Joe Burrow is
a quarterback. That's twenty four percent winning percentage forty five
thirty two and one, which is nearly sixty percent winning
percentage with Joe Burrow is his quarterback. Now, when we
talk about head coaches guys, right, they usually fall into
two categories and tony who played the game. You have
the Dan Campbell, Mike Grabel, Demiko Ryans, the former players

(35:49):
who come in the room, big strong guys have a
presence of the CEO type coaches. Or you have the
brainy acts who are the ex's and o's guys. I
don't know where Zach Taylor fits. He's certainly not a
motor he doesn't, you know, remind you Dan Campbell in
the least. And I don't really find it would be
all that brilliant with x's and o's. So I what
exactly does he offer the head coach?

Speaker 2 (36:09):
So to me, that was one of the questions because remember,
and I think I don't have the quote directly Austin,
but Jamar Chay said something last week along the lines
of we need more fire and anger, and I find
myself wondering who delivers fire and anger on this staff.
I don't think it's Zach, I don't think it's Al Golden,
and I wonder from which players it comes because for

(36:30):
players it's unique because you have to be able to
be a leader, but your play also has to reflect that.
Like I think Ted Carris can be that guy. But
if Ted Carris has harpened on players to play better
or do their job, the players are going to say, well,
do your job. What do you harpen on me for?
And you're not doing your job? So I like that
Jamar says we need more fire and anger. I just
don't know who it comes from.

Speaker 12 (36:53):
Does it come from someone other than the quarterback? I mean,
obviously the quarterback can provide that, but if that's not
in his DNA's person, then that starts what's going to happen.
I always think it comes from the offensive lineman. And
then you can talk about it all the time. When
you played at the University of Cincinnati's at Jason Kelsey
was the guy that basically had everybody fired up for
the game, right, it usually comes from the offensive line

(37:13):
or even the offensive line coach, who you know sometimes
are a little bit, you know, a few cards short
of a full deck. But nonetheless, the motivators of the team,
well the special teams coach. I don't even get any
of that, and it sound like a broken record, But
when I saw the play against Jacksonville where the ball
slipped out of Burrow's hand, he chased it because it
wasn't sure if as an incompletion or a fumble. He's

(37:34):
the only guy that chased the ball. They did recover it.
It was called it in completion. He stood up and
got cheap shotted from behind by someone on Jacksonville, and
not one offensive lineman came to his defense. You picture
if that happened to you at the University of Finnatti
with Jason Kelsey would have done.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
It wouldn't have and if it did, and I respect it,
he would have probably got a fifteen yard penalty on
top of it for going after someone that did.

Speaker 12 (37:55):
That good, because that's but yes, you want that. Kyle
Turley took someone's helmet off because they keep shot and
Drew Brees like, is there a disconnect with Joe and
the offensive line. I can't see that. Yeah, I mean
when we saw the quarterback on Netflix, he has them.

Speaker 8 (38:11):
Over his house.

Speaker 12 (38:12):
He gave them those beautiful Samurai so ones, which are
kind of laughable considering none of those guys play like samurais.
But I just, you know, I just don't understand that.
And then I still think it starts from the top guys.
If they're not going to invest in the franchise, this
is where you're at. You've basically been a five hundred
team since two thousand and three, and you've only had
two head coaches, the same amount as Pittsburgh and Baltimore,

(38:35):
one more than the Patriots during that time, and those
teams have won a total of Bay Super Bowls. And
the Binalds are five hundred teams since two thousand and
three with two head coaches. And he's not going to
get fired because if Borrow doesn't come back, ownership will say, well,
we lost our quarterback, let's run it back next year.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Yeah. I hope that's not the crutch, but I could
see that also being the crutch if things don't get better. John,
Thank you, man, appreciate the call. All right, fellas, let's
grab one more then we'll grab a break. What's up, Dante, Hey,
what's up?

Speaker 12 (39:03):
Hey?

Speaker 7 (39:03):
I got a new name for your show. We're gonna
call it the TNA. So anyway, I got some things
to fix the real kick big dollar. First off, get.

Speaker 8 (39:13):
Rid of that.

Speaker 7 (39:14):
Go get Joe Brady from the Buffalo Bills. He was
Burrow and Chases coordinator. Lsu helped out because he knows
how to make your work. Joe Brady, what do you
think about him?

Speaker 2 (39:27):
Chris Collinsworth had some critical words for Joe Brady last night.
That offense kind of stalled out, but I'd be open
to it. I think he's one of those guys that
you would have to consider. I mean, I think right now,
like three names that immediately come to mind. Jeff Hafley,
the defensive coordinator the Green Bay Packers, Joe Brad, Joe
Brady in Buffalo. I think Doug Peterson is an interesting one.

(39:47):
I don't know if I'd go with him, but yeah,
I mean yeah, I think you would have to at
least consider Joe Brady.

Speaker 7 (39:55):
Okay, and it's sad too when your star receiver leaves
the team that tackles during one point, it's not good.

Speaker 12 (40:02):
That's really bad.

Speaker 7 (40:03):
And also, okay, fellas and I got this thing, and
please nobody get mad at me, ipset, but I got
a wait, a solution to help us out. As far
as like the quarterback situation. We know Joe's coming back.
He's had four surgeries in four years. Honestly, with the
way we go on the team, I hate to say
I love Joey, my idol, but he's not gonna.

Speaker 8 (40:21):
Make it ten years.

Speaker 7 (40:22):
So let's do like Aaron Rodgers Jordan Love situation. Go ahead,
call the Browns, give him a four hundred five Shuder
and just sit. So you're gonna sit for two to
three years. Learn the system. That way, we got somebody mobile.
Then when our line doesn't block, won't get killed because
Jacob Snate. You know that that that played at the
end of the game yesterday. I think that was Alando
that let that lineman get right past him. I didn't

(40:45):
think he was getting up from that hit.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
Yeah, the the hits are continuing. The old line play
is not much better. Dante, thanks for the call. I
don't think I'm ready to package the picks yet. I
don't think I'm ready to pull the plug on Joe yet.
We gotta well, yeah, no, we're not gonna. I think
he was saying, go get shit or for Joe's ultimate demise,
everything should be on the doors out of I don't

(41:09):
think he's that mobile either. Everything should be on the table, sure,
I don't know if that should. Yeah, we got a
lot to sort through. Let's finish up our number one.
We come back as we get into our number two,
we'll grab more of your phone calls as well before talkback.
So hang with us, Chad, hang with us, Mark and
anyone else. Five one, three, seven, four nine, fifteen thirty

I gotta have some fun tonight.

Speaker 7 (41:47):
Man.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
This season continues the way it is, we're gonna be
pouring a lot of drinks. I agree with that, a
lot of drinks. When do we start talking draft? Boy? Bye? Yeah?
Did he get the does he get that far sooner
rather than later? Unfortunately, it's going to be. That's gonna
be a lot of draft talk. Not a fan of that.

(42:10):
I'm not excited about that coming down. Did you echo
Zach Taylor's feelings at the end of the game there
that that if you recover that on side, do you
think you win the game. Sure, okay, why not? Do
you echo his sentiment that that there's still trust and
belief in Jake Browning? Uh No, you think the locker
room believes in that. I have a couple of Zach

(42:30):
Taylor's sound bites. Do you want to use those now?
Or please? Next segment?

Speaker 4 (42:34):
No?

Speaker 2 (42:34):
Please? Okay, here's here's the first one. Okay, here's the
or actual soundbites. This is not a this is real. Okay.

Speaker 16 (42:40):
I gotta do a better job getting this into a rhythm.
Get us away where we can sustain some drives, put
points on the board. There's some place he's gonna want
to have back. I'm glad he hung in there. He
made some place force down the stretch. Three straight touchdown
drives at the end of the game. I'm sure a
lot of people wanted him on the bench at that point.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
I could hear it.

Speaker 16 (42:58):
And you stuck with him, and he comes back and
has three straight drives for touchdowns, And that's that's the
Jake Browning. I know he's resilient.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Thoughts that to me sounds like gain some confidence as
the game went on. We're gonna roll that into next week.
Status quo. Don't need to make a change, all right,
here's number two.

Speaker 17 (43:15):
I do.

Speaker 16 (43:16):
I of course, after a game like that, we're gonna
look at all personnel to make sure we're doing the
right thing. So I won't shy away from that because
it's a very fair question after the amount of turnovers
we have.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
But to say that, I don't think Jay can win
games for us. I believe Jake and win games.

Speaker 4 (43:30):
Force I do.

Speaker 2 (43:31):
I don't. I don't either, very simply what I don't
believe he can win games. I don't believe he can
beat the Packers. I don't believe he can beat the Steelers. Hell,
at this point, I don't know if he can beat
the Jets. Sobering, you know what this is leading up to.
You know the Jets through five weeks do not have
a single takeaway yep, and they may not for the

(43:55):
next They'll have two weeks, they'll have a season's worth.
Glenn said after the game yesterday. We gotta keep doing
what we're doing, and they're gonna come. They're gonna come
in bunches. Okay, October twenty six, and be honey, bunches
of votes at the stadium on that night. If Jake
Browning is still the quarterback. On October twenty sixth Nikes, yikes,

(44:17):
that would mean one of two things. One neither were good.
He caught fire against Green Bay and Pittsburgh and the
season might be back on or two Brett Ripping, Mike White,
and Sean Clifford all got hurt, Yeah or sick. Couldn't
make the trip.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (44:36):
Either way, that wouldn't you feel if you're Mike White
walking in there? What am I doing here? My agent
said this was a good choice. What are we doing?
I don't know? And again I don't know how you
you go forward with where you're at and keep its
status quo. I hope that's just coach speak, but my goodness,

(44:59):
it was rough to watch. Our two is next your

Welcome back our two Monday Midday Quarterback thanks to Cincy
Shirts as well ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. Let's
take a look, Austin at what happened around the rest
of the National Football League yesterday. Starting early yesterday morning,

(46:27):
what do you make of the Browns and the Vikings.
I thought some fight from the Browns. I thought at
times Dylan Gabriel looked good in his first start against
a good defense. I also think that the Browns got
it right with Quinn Shawn Judkins. I think he's going
to be a star at running back. I thought Gabriel
looked the part fan and at tight end looks like

(46:47):
he's going to be a good player. They're getting some
good production from their rookies. Carson Wentz, though, give credit
where credits due. He made the drive at the end
of the game when it mattered most found Jordan Addison
for a touchdown, justin Jefferson's having catches for a buck.
Twenty three. Vikings beat the Browns and what was a
pretty fun one in England. Carson Wentz remembered, Oh, yeah,

(47:08):
number eighteen is out there. I can just throw it
to him and he'll figure it out. But crazy thought, Yeah,
the thing with me is watching Cleveland. It stands out
how good that rookie group is for them, not only
on offense, but on defense too. With Carson Swessinger, I
think he had twelve total tackles yesterday. Ronnie Hickman, who
is an Ohio State guy, has really emerged there. So yeah,

(47:29):
I mean, I think Cleveland is better than we all thought,
but they just haven't been as productive or as consistent
on offense. I think Jerry Judy has been a pretty
big disappointment to this point. But Quinn Shawn Judkins they
have something there. And Dylan Gabriel was okay, he was fine,
and they got some pieces. But yeah, I mean it's
without question that they have some pieces. I still think

(47:51):
Kevin's fancy's a good coach. Forty Did you know, by
the way, that was the first ever matchup between two
head coaches named Kevin. Wow. Yeah, break that down. Let's
stick in the AFC North, decimated by injuries already going
into the game. Lamar Jackson didn't play for the Ravens.
Neither did Kyle Hamilton, Marlin Humphrey or a slew of others.
Roquan Smith forty four to ten at the hands of

(48:15):
the Texans. Don't know that that would have been different
if any of those guys play forty four to ten.
And yet Austin listen to this, somehow, some way, At
now one and four, Baltimore is still the betting favorite
in the AFC North. They are still minus odds at

(48:36):
one oh five. Pittsburgh is plus one thirty Bengals plus
eleven hundred, Cleveland plus seventeen hundred. It's gonna say, does
that say more about Baltimore or more about Pittsburgh. I
think it says more about the jury still being out
on Pittsburgh. Yeah, I would agree with that. I mean, listen,
it feels like thanks for the memories Baltimore. So far
in games this season, they've given up forty one, seventeen,

(48:58):
thirty eight, and forty four points per game. Crazy. That's
not good. And they put a lot into their defense
in the offseason, and so I'm curious to see if
maybe there's a change coming there with Zach Orr potentially
getting fired. I don't know, but they just can't stop anybody.

(49:20):
I understand that they were hurt a little bit, but
that's bad. The way that they performed against Baltimore or
against Houston, Yep, it feels like it looks like they
rolled over. Could be over there. Carolina did not roll over.
They come from an early deficit to beat the Miami Dolphins.
What about what lou An Arumo in that Colts defense

(49:40):
has cooking? Yeah, grant. They also put forty points on
the board, picked off Gino Smith twice. Colts are four
and one. They beat the Raiders forty to six. What
a weird storyline though. In India over the weekend, Mark Sanchez,
who reportedly stabbed was in the hospital and here you
have this like outpouring of support to Mark Sanchez and
and how good of a guy he is, and prayers

(50:03):
and everything else, and then it comes out, Wait a second,
they're looking into Mark Sanchez from a police side of things,
as the as the alleged aggressor. And then and they
took it a step further. What a unbelievable twist. The
charges have been raised now to a felony charge as

(50:24):
of this morning, according to the Indianapolis Police. The police
department still waiting for all the details, but the gist
of it is that Mark appeared to be intoxicated after
leaving a bar, got into an altercation with a delivery
driver who was I believe nearly seventy years old. That
driver apparently tried to pepper spray him and it didn't work,

(50:47):
and Mark continued to come after him, and the altercation
continued and the guy pulled out his knife to defend
himself and ended up with Mark Sanchez in the hospital.
So crazy, Just a wild situation for a guy who,
I mean, I like Mark Sanchez. I've liked him on
the broadcast. I hear him a lot with Dan Patrick
and think he's really good. He's got a wife, and

(51:08):
I think three young kids. So it doesn't really add
up what we've heard from Mark Sanchez. So really strange.
And I do think by the way it's people were
kind of getting yelled at for sending their thoughts and prayers.
I mean, the guy got stabbed. You can do it, yes, yeah,
and you do hope that he recovers and figures out
what the hell happens. So it didn't happen again. Spencer

(51:30):
Ratler gets his first win and ten chances as a quarterback.
They get their first win over the Giants more like
Jackson Fart. Giants at one point turn it over on
five straight possessions. Not good cowboys there before cowboys dominated
the Jets. How about the Broncos seventeen three deficit, scored
eighteen in the fourth, beat the Philadelphia Eagles twenty one
to seventeen. Titans get win number one. Can I go

(51:53):
back to the Eagles for a second. They ran the
ball eleven times? Yeah, I don't get it. They had
the lead the entire game, yep, they were up seventeen three,
seventeen to three going into the fourth. They ran the
ball eleven times and Saquon got six of those. What
are they doing six carries thirty yards. Saquon Barkley averaged

(52:15):
five yards of carry. Jalen Hurts only carried at two
times for three yards. I don't get it. None of
that made sense yesterday. None of it made sense, and
the Titans win either. When are we gonna stop dropping
the ball before players crossed the goal line? What a
terrible home loss by the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have
lost their last three games by a combined five points,

(52:37):
and shout out to Brian Callahan for win number one
all on field goals at the end of regulation sixteen
to fifteen. They lost to San Francisco, twenty three to
twenty to Seattle, and twenty two to twenty one to Tennessee.
If now they had a situation come the Colts and
Yeah Packers situation where they could have scored on a
defensive touchdown. Player drops the ball going into the end zone. Huh.

(52:59):
And then another pass that cam Ward threw an interception
on is then fumbled. Two guys try to fall on it,
and it squirts into the end zone and Tyler Lockett
falls on it. Hilarious. Unbelievable win by the uh. The
Tennessee Titans Commanders. After the Chargers jumped out ten to nothing,
Commanders scored the next twenty seven. Chargers have now lost
two in a row injuries. It feels like starting to

(53:21):
add up for the Chargers. How about what the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield keep doing a mechig Buka
seven catches, one sixty three and a tutter. If you ask, hey,
what whoa whoa whoa? I could figure it out.

Speaker 5 (53:36):
Man.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
The Buccaneers are fun. Baker through for three seventy nine
and two touchdowns yesterday. They're getting some stuff out of
the run game. They're doing this still without Godwin and
Mike Evans, and they're missing guys up front. Yet they
are still four and one. They are a blocked field
goal away from beating the Eagles and being five and zero.
I love everything about him, and I was looking at
this yesterday, austin the front office in Tampa. What a

(54:01):
job they've done at roster development, drafting, and free agency.
They've hit on seemingly everything, yep, and coaching, you know,
Liam Cohen moves on offense picks up where it was
just a hell of a job all around by Tampa.
I think that they couldn't end up being in the
super Bowl. They're good, Like, I think they're that good

(54:22):
of a team, and if they are, they should wear
those jerseys from yesterday. And on top of it, you
know they're banged up. Man, They've got injuries everywhere, all
over the place, and yet they're still productive. Yeah, pretty
impressive last game last night the Patriots. It wasn't a
fluked didn't feel like it is like somebody tried to
tell you about the Patriots. I don't know who it was.
It felt like they just flat out beat. Like it

(54:44):
didn't take the Bills melting down. Now they did turn
the ball over. I like what I'm seeing out of
the Patriots defense. I certainly like what I'm seeing out
of Drake May. They beat the Bills twenty three to twenty.
Like get the next four for New England Saints, Titans, Browns, Falcons.
How about that. I also saw a story on Bill Belichick.

(55:07):
If you've seen this, Yeah, I'm out on Bill Beliche.
So this is so. This was reported earlier, I believe
by Ross Martin, who's a college editor at Carolina, but
it's at the University of North Carolina. Staff has been
directed by Bill Belichick not to post or repost anything
to the Patriots, which takes away austin from their quarterback

(55:31):
Drake May, who played at North Carolina, wins an unbelievable
Sunday night football game, and they are being asked not
to post or repost anything about Drake May because he
plays with New England even though he is a former
quarterback at North Carolina. It's a detriment, what a joke man,
detriment to recruiting. It's selfish, it's egotistical. Don't like it
from Bill Belichick at all. There's no room for that

(55:54):
type of pediment. You're pettiness, You're you're hurting your football program.
The North Carolina Twitter account posted both Javonte Williams touchdowns,
but not one thing from Drake May and the Patriot
if you remember their scouts aren't allowed in North Carolina
and all sorts of what man. Week five wraps up
tonight with Kansas City at Jacksonville. Let's take a couple

(56:19):
of these phone calls here. What's up, mark.

Speaker 4 (56:24):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (56:25):
I had a well, I got some tony pipe questions,
so I spread him out during the week. When you
run in an offense, are you allowed to go under
the center.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
You're allowed to, yes, yes, yeah.

Speaker 9 (56:36):
Because yesterday he stayed in shotguns for the whole game.
I didn't never see him under center now one time.
And I'm feeling vindicated about me complaining about coaches all
the time, because you know, I mean, I heard some
complaining about the defensive coordinator having defensive hands drop back

(56:57):
in coverage, which I think that's And the biggest thing
that stood out to me yesterday was it wasn't the
worst quarterback performance I'd ever seen with the Bengals. What
stood out to me is I thought Jake Brown it
should have got benched after and.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
Zach kind of alluded to it by saying I heard
the booze. I'm sure not many people thought he should
be in there, so even he was alluding to it
there in the post game.

Speaker 9 (57:27):
Okay, but this going forward, if they decided to stick
with him and Zach's gonna probably be the coach for
the rest of the season, I would assume that that's
gonna happen. I'm hoping for Okay, if he could give
up the play golling, do these at least for one game.
I want to see the what the play calls look

(57:48):
like for one game without him, and then if somebody
could tell the quarterback, hey, look, just take what the
defense is giving. Because one of those intercepts he had
to tight end I think open, like right in the
middle of the field, and it was that one where
he threw it with a linebacker was just like right there.

Speaker 2 (58:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (58:11):
Uh.

Speaker 9 (58:12):
So you know, great quarterbacks they take what the defense gets.
I mean Peyton Manning with dink and dunk all the
way down the field. If you was gonna give him
a five yard pass, he take the five yard passed
to do it. Yeah. I think Jake Brownie, I think
he I think he falls in love with trying to
make that big throw all the time. If he would

(58:34):
just take the take the underneath stuff, and take what
the defense is given, and I think you'll see a
better result. So I'll get off and listen to the
rest of the Mark.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Thank you for the phone call. Certainly kind of what
we discussed there at the uh at the top with
everything that had happened with Jake Browning. Throughout the afternoon,
Chad is also calling in, Hey.

Speaker 19 (58:54):
Chad, Hey, thanks for call list and this yesterday. I
gotta blame a lot of this on obviously Jake Brown's problems,
but we all know that Jake Browning his deficiency is
the other line's efficiency. And I just don't understand Zach
Taylor's mind. Like I said, you would know going out this,
No would, But I know the stats up for the

(59:14):
first half. Obviously we already pretty much new the game
was over, even though it was only fourteen points. But
Detroit hit twenty two pass, twenty run. Zach decides to
have twenty five past and ten runs. And you know,
from every time I look, Detroit was only rushing three
or four and just dropping back because I knew they
could get to him only rushing four and they're still
dropping seven. So I'm assuming why would you want to

(59:35):
keep I mean you have to establish a run. I
mean I would think correct, you have to stablish a run.
Him is not working, you have to keep sticking with it.
And I'm not And we've seen this with Zach Taylor
the entire time with Burrow, like we've always.

Speaker 12 (59:47):
Been playing basely.

Speaker 19 (59:48):
I don't know if he's toned up with it or
it's basically he's gonna use his scheme whether it works
or it doesn't work, and he just believes it's gonna work.
I guess, I don't know, because we've seen him. We've
all talked about this from time to time. Again, and
as far as Bengals scoring and points in the fourth quarter,
that was the chart.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
They were rough twenty eight to three.

Speaker 19 (01:00:05):
They put the foot off the gas, and then when
the Bengals did come to eleven and said it was
six minutes left, they went down the field in like
six plays score with no resistance whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 19 (01:00:14):
So it's just I just I would like to see,
you know, the Zach Tylor's press conference as always I
got to do better. Well, I would like for him
one time and say, hey, I gotta do better. Why
don't I let why don't we have damn pitcher play
call just one time one game. Lets someone else take
care of play calling duties, because that is clearly it has.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
To be done. Yeah, Chad, I appreciate the phone call, man,
thank you. You know, Zach did kind of touch on that. Yeah.
I mean, today's gonna be interesting hearing him today. Ben
Baby was tweeting this out after the game about how
Zach was putting the loss on himself after a third
straight offensive, showing quote from Zach when the head coach

(01:00:51):
is the play caller. That's where it ends right there. Yeah,
So that to me is the first time I can
remember Zach Taylor saying, hey, hand up. As a play caller,
I wasn't very good, which to me, I would imagine
Zach feels the heat. This is one of the things
you do. When you feel the heat, you start setting
up for the idea of Okay, we're gonna switch play calls,

(01:01:14):
maybe to buy yourself some more time, maybe to try
to fix whatever is. And I get to his point there,
like there's a there's an opportunity. You're not a great
running team, but if you ever want to have a
chance to maybe open up some runs, you can't just
abandon the run, correct There are there are plenty of
teams that run the ball early and make it stop,

(01:01:36):
but they do it so they can run the ball
late when they wear down the defensive line. Bengals do
not do that when they're running the ball. We got
time for one more call, then we're gonna get the
talk bocks. What's up, Bob.

Speaker 20 (01:01:46):
Hey, Tony Pike. Nice talking to you, A long time
listener of you and Autie and enjoy all you guys,
do thank you, thank you, thank you for being my
therapy couch and this whatever this season is.

Speaker 21 (01:01:57):
Heys.

Speaker 20 (01:01:57):
Two quick questions for you, and then just had to
the second question follow up on what you would think
of this first real quick question, what would number nine
stat line be for me?

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
Yesterday? With that, with that secondary, uh, with the secondary
that Detroit trotted out there, that would have probably been
some type of like thirty eight thirty five shootout, because
I think Joe Burrow would have put up some really
good numbers.

Speaker 20 (01:02:21):
I agree, And the second question is not a huge
fan of rus Wilson. The third what do you think
rus Wilson would have done yesterday?

Speaker 22 (01:02:29):
Of that?

Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
Give me about three hundo. I just don't think, in
going back and watching, I just don't think a quarterback
like Russell Wilson would have made the read mistakes that
Jake Browning made. There were he throws to be made,
basic stuff to be made, and at the very minimum,
Russell Wilson or someone else could do that. Jake Browning

(01:02:51):
could not do that yesterday.

Speaker 20 (01:02:53):
So given that I agree with you putting you on
your Duke Tobin hat, what would be wrong in getting
with the Giants and say, we've got this potentially great
wide receiver that has a head case in Jermaine Burton,
Jermaine Burton for Russ Wilson, would you do that as
a general manager if they were in.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
I don't even think it would take that. I think
it would take you sending them a six round pick
and they would do it. I genuinely think that that
it would take a six round pick. You could keep
Jermaine Burton to see what happens, and you could get
Russell Wilson in exchange for a sixth and probably in
a couple of weeks you're gonna end up moving Trey
Hendrickson because you're in no man's land and you're gonna
recuperate that pick. And more so, yes, I would have

(01:03:33):
already done it by now to signify the locker room
that I'm not giving up, that we're still trying. The
fact that they haven't done it yet is mind boggling
to me, to be honest.

Speaker 12 (01:03:43):
Well, thank you and Audi for what you do.

Speaker 20 (01:03:45):
A lot of us listen never call in, but today
I decided to get that.

Speaker 2 (01:03:49):
Off my guest. So thank you, guys, Thanks Bob, appreciate
the words. Thank you, all right, let's uh. It is
becoming one of the only bright spots I have. Austin
on Sunday nights is thinking about how good talkbacks will
be the day after a loss. Oh yeah, we'll get
to those next on the SBN fifteen thirty Cincinnati sports station.
Here on the Monday midday quarterback.

Speaker 5 (01:04:09):
Now your chance doing that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
Time for talkbacks.

Speaker 23 (01:04:12):
Press the microphone and record your message for ustain and tone.

Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
Please keep it clean and don't be mean.

Speaker 23 (01:04:21):
And a sprinkle sprinkled drip drip.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
It's that time for talkbacks.

Speaker 23 (01:04:26):
It's our favorite part of SANCY three sixty. Oh yeah, Austin, buddy,
play that talk back on your screen, and please try
not to Saba Taja.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
Sincey Church gift card is up for grabs on Friday,
we're a little bit backed up on those. I know,
I gotta we gotta give out a couple. I gotta. Well,
we were at we were on the road on Friday.
That makes it difficult to do the giveaway. I think
we didn't do the last two weeks before that. Let's
give the multiple gift cards gone this Friday. Maybe we'll
give a gift card away Thursday. Then well, I'm gone

(01:04:58):
Thursday as well. Maybe we'll give a gift cardo Wednesday.
We give away every day this week, every day after today.
I do want to bring this up just right now
while we have a moment, because I know this it's
a Monday midday quarterback. But did you see the announcement
from Nick Krawl today? Mark Sheldon reports what Nick Krawl

(01:05:19):
said that all of the Reds coaches on Terry Francona's
staff have been invited back for next season. Yeah, I
saw that. I was told a few weeks ago that
that that wasn't going to happen. I was told that
there would be some changes on that staff, and now
everybody's coming back. Come on back. I don't like it.

(01:05:41):
Come on back. I really don't like that.

Speaker 8 (01:05:44):
Brutal.

Speaker 2 (01:05:45):
I just want to go on the record by saying fair,
all right to the talkbacks, Ton, how about your bear Cats?
Forget about them? Sideclones look like a Cat Nato touchdowner
and Ames Iowa.

Speaker 24 (01:05:57):
Strifer general looked more like FC Cincinnati day that orange
and blue house there.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
If you know that Jim and I.

Speaker 24 (01:06:02):
Chase would be a better corner back than CTV Zach Taylor,
Jake Brown and continue to be just a jag, you know,
just another guy and.

Speaker 2 (01:06:10):
Fellas and us. I'm missing something. You're gonna have to
get on a stick there.

Speaker 24 (01:06:13):
Three weeks in a row, you've missed giving away that
since he shared cars.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
We're giving it away. We're gonna do multiples this week.

Speaker 10 (01:06:24):
Look, people are gonna complain about Zach Taylor, people are
gonna complain about Jake Browning.

Speaker 25 (01:06:28):
I get it.

Speaker 10 (01:06:28):
I'm mad about those things. But the thing actually that
has me the most bad is that Al Golden worked.
This defense is slightly better than last year. It's not amazing,
but it is slightly better than last year. They are
getting stops, they're getting turnovers, they're getting off the field
when they need to. The offense can't do anything. It
is gassing the defense. Then they give up and it's

(01:06:48):
just terrible. It's so frustrating.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Problem with that is they're doing what they were asked
to do with the assumption when Burrow was healthy. They
can't rise more of the occasion because the offense now
isn't as dominant. That's not all the defense's fault, but
it just goes to the disaster that is the way
this roster has been constructed.

Speaker 10 (01:07:07):
Also I'm in team, Go get a quarterback. It can't
be worse than what is currently going on right now.
Get a quarterback. The division is still wide open. That's
what's so frustrating the Ravens and the Browns. Hello, the
Steelers come out. The division's wide open. Get a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
The defense is playing good enough.

Speaker 9 (01:07:24):
I think just just go.

Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
That's Johnny's opinion.

Speaker 2 (01:07:26):
Who did, Hey John, it's so bad down at pay
Court Stadium right now that Bishop Ready would beat this team.
I think Bishop Sycamore might beat him.

Speaker 26 (01:07:36):
Hey, fellas, are you tired of talking about the Bengal yet?
Christ knows I am. I want to talk about the Reds.
I think to hear me out, we move Ellie to
center field. The guy can run like a Dyer. And
then we move Stayer to second base. He's a third

(01:07:58):
baseman in the past. He can play a second. Move
McClain to short he used to be a short stop,
and keep Bigs out anchored at first base.

Speaker 9 (01:08:05):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
Oh boy, I'm not ready for that yet. I'm not.

Speaker 27 (01:08:10):
Tonings is Goon from Indianapolis?

Speaker 2 (01:08:12):
What up, Goon?

Speaker 3 (01:08:13):
Just a tough matchup, right right?

Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
A matchup. They'll get it together.

Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
Against the Packers, Right, that's.

Speaker 28 (01:08:20):
Not a tough mat Oh wait, you know I did
want to say though, for coach Saturday, you see looks
pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:08:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 29 (01:08:31):
I mean I was watching that Iowa State and I
don't know if that was just a tough matchup for
Iowa State, but it looked like a good matchup for Soresby.

Speaker 30 (01:08:41):
And uh, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:08:43):
Maybe he maybe he is the tough matchup.

Speaker 29 (01:08:45):
He'll be the he'll be tough for every opposing defense
I guess going forward.

Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
So it's kind of nice to be the tough matchup
on the schedule. How about that? You think Scott Frost
today is saying, man, since he just a tough matchup,
Scott Frost nipped.

Speaker 21 (01:09:01):
Hey guys, it's Jeff and New Richmond. Happy Monday too.
You have another Bengals loss, another embarrassing effort. I don't
care if it was a thirteen point game. It wasn't
that close. I think you need to fire Zach Taylor.
Bring in John Gruden.

Speaker 15 (01:09:20):
Why not.

Speaker 21 (01:09:21):
He's reputable, He's going to build an experienced coaching staff
that may he can turn this thing around.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Do you think here's why I'm out on John Gruden? Okay,
two reasons. Number one, it just is instill in the
midst of suing the National Football League and that stuff like,
there was just news about that over the weekend. Number Two,
In Cincinnati, coaches are required to have a significant input

(01:09:52):
on drafting, developing, and scouting. When John had a significant
input in Las Vegas and in Oakland, they went backwards,
especially with Mike Mayock. That second time around, they drafted
some awful, awful players. Their big hit was Max Crosby
later in the rounds, and you know those types of

(01:10:12):
picks that happens from time to time, but that I
would worry about. Yeah, but it's not to say you
shouldn't at least consider it or say anything at this
point is considerable. How long do you think after the
Red's announcement, will Zach Taylor come back and say the
invite is back for everyone to come back on this staff. Well,
he didn't get to make that decision. Good morning, guys,

(01:10:33):
morning here.

Speaker 14 (01:10:34):
You know, I really have to say that I was
kind of proud of our defense. I thought they did
pretty good considering we were playing Detroit. If it wasn't
for those what is it three interceptions, I don't know
who knows what the score could have been, but it's
time to get a new quarterback. Browning is not the guy.
What have we got to lose except for another game?

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
Yeah? My only worry with that is when the Bengals
made it interesting at all, Detroit went and did whatever
they wanted offensively, up guys mccahoone and Kentucky.

Speaker 31 (01:11:11):
Watching Jamar Chacey's last couple of weeks, I think he's
really being supportive. So I think he knows that Joe
Brady's gonna be the next head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm reading into it. And then
on the Reds front, I was doing the numbers you
can get Kyle Schwarber.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Oh three year Okay, let's be honest. That game was
never in doubt.

Speaker 8 (01:11:33):
It was never close.

Speaker 32 (01:11:35):
No, and no, I'm not encouraged by Browning throwing a
few touchdowns against an injured secondary that was playing soft
coverage and a prevent defense.

Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
He's terrible.

Speaker 32 (01:11:46):
If this team isn't the worst team in the league,
it's certainly bottom three. The season's over, they get the
same odds to win the division as the Cleveland Browns,
and then you know this week they're plus eight to
ten on FanDuel on the money line against the Packers.

Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
That's why I said demoralizing, because it never sprinkled, never
felt like they had a chance to win yesterday worth
a sprinkle, isn't it. You'll be there, I know. Maybe
that's what it takes. I haven't been to a game
this year. Okay, maybe that's what it takes. Okay, you
might never come back. Yeah, I might see if I
can get onto Iheartgreen Bay, see if I can cover

(01:12:21):
a winner.

Speaker 33 (01:12:22):
Finally got my Halloween costume figured out, but it's down
to two. One is gonna cut up like three pounds
of onions, get my eyelids all puffy and everything, and
it's gonna sit in the corner of the party and
shake my head back and forth like Jake Browning and
wear his jersey. The other one is take a bunch

(01:12:43):
of caffe and get my eyes all wide and bugged out,
just like Zach Taylor, walk around to party with my
arms out asking why.

Speaker 32 (01:12:53):
And the sad thing is that line's defense is the
worst defense that they're gonna play, probably in the worst
in the first seven weeks of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
And you couldn't get anything.

Speaker 3 (01:13:02):
Moving until garbage time.

Speaker 32 (01:13:04):
Yeah, and you look at Browning's QBR and passer rating
because QBR is in the twenties in all these games,
in the sixties for the passer rating, I mean they
have to You cannot keep moving forward with this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:13:19):
I agree, I agree, Yep, yep, Tony Addi Craig and
the Creek.

Speaker 8 (01:13:25):
What dog.

Speaker 34 (01:13:26):
Just when you thought things had finally gotten bad enough
to force change, this offense has to go and show
signs of life, kicking the can down the road again.
Can somebody please explain to me how the offense that
we saw the second half of yesterday is the same
offense that we've been watching all season.

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):
There were receivers open, now, there were running lanes. Jake
Browning had time. I think so much of it was
on what Detroit was doing or not doing.

Speaker 27 (01:13:56):
It's the Lord, Hey, Zach Taylor. If I wanted to
see a clown show, I would go to a circus.
I hear the Barnum and Alia is hiring. You'd be
a great ring leader.

Speaker 8 (01:14:08):
You should apply.

Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
Wow, you'd be a ring list leader, unwavering confidence. Yep,
well done, well done, I.

Speaker 17 (01:14:25):
Guess Marcus from the grove Marcus, that game scene from
start to finish, like Zach punted as soon as he
walked out the locker room, leaving Jake in as long
as he did for the entire game before. They're not
a smart move. I understand you just brought in Mike White,
But in all honesty, can he do any worse?

Speaker 2 (01:14:45):
I don't think so.

Speaker 21 (01:14:47):
And for the.

Speaker 17 (01:14:48):
Bearcats, not trying to be negative Tony, but being favored
at home, I don't think he stormed the field highest.

Speaker 2 (01:14:55):
Was it the highest ranked team to come in to
Nippert and get a win in quite some time? I
I have no problem with it. Fans are excited about it.
I'm okay with it. I didn't love it. I'm okay
with it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
Did you say seven to ten days, Austin, yep? Once
you try years. Oh my friend, these guys aren't making
a move, dude. The built in excuses are already here.
Zach Taylor will be coaching this team next year. Duke
Tobin will be the whatever position he holds, he will

(01:15:30):
be there. Market sucks the good news.

Speaker 2 (01:15:34):
You don't know what the good news, says, Austin. Jake
Browning wasn't the worst offensively grated PFF player yesterday. Orlando
Brown Nope, Dylan Fairchild yep. Dylan Fairchild thirty eight point seven,
Jake Browning thirty eight point eight. Tony Austin could schaef
from Ross.

Speaker 35 (01:15:50):
It's evident through the Denver and the Detroit games that
all these teams are looking at US as a joint
practice type of game style where they just try out
a bunch of things that they want to work on
with their players, and if they feel threatened in the game,
they just go their normal stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
It's gonna be a long year. We're still losing by
two digits, so.

Speaker 35 (01:16:09):
Try to look for the positive, see some growth, hopefully
get some find some core players that'll stick around.

Speaker 2 (01:16:14):
For Did he call himself coach? Are we turning into
the homecoming opponent? Tony Austin could scha from Ross? Coach?
He called himself coach? Maybe he coaches at Ross. Do
you think coach Saban calls himself coach? Might be you
think Zach Taylor calls himself, Hey, it's coach Taylor. Yes,
I don't think hundred percent. I think he says hey,
it's coach. Slash offensive coordinator Zach Taylor here with the utmost,

(01:16:38):
utmost and unwavering. He calls his doctor's office. He's like, Hey,
it's coach Taylor. I need to they say an appointment.
The offensive coordinator as well calls his wife. Hey, it's
coach Taylor. I'm on my way home. What's stay at
the office? Put more time in?

Speaker 19 (01:16:56):
Yeah, Tony, I watched that game Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
How come you see away from the run in the
second half, they were dominating.

Speaker 12 (01:17:04):
The first tack with the run.

Speaker 27 (01:17:07):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:17:07):
For the most part, Iowa State started selling out to
the line of scrimmage run blitzes, winning the numbers game.
And that's why I thought for a lot of the
second half Swarersby wasn't sharp until he needed to be
on the deep ball of Caleb Goodie. I thought Iowa
State's adjustment was much more aggressiveness at the line of scrimmage.
Run blitzes at the snap makes it hard to successfully

(01:17:28):
run if they bring one more hat in the box
that you can't block, and they eventually made them pay
for that.

Speaker 36 (01:17:34):
Hello, this is former president Ronald regall Well. Jake Browning's
late game fourth quarter junk time stats not only made
Tim Couch proud, but it had also likely saved Zach
Taylor his job. That game was not nearly as close
as the final score indicated. In fact, Mitt Romney and

(01:17:55):
Michael Decoccus both felt sorry for the Bengals, and.

Speaker 37 (01:18:00):
Hey, guys, Robin Davis, I should be a little more
positive in this message. For three quarters yesterday it was
the same old crap. Jake Browning's not the answer. Zach
Taylor obviously isn't the answer anymore either, but I was
afraid that would happen, that they put together some drives
in the fourth quarter, you know, just to save some

(01:18:21):
people's jobs. I'm sorry Browning and Zach Taylor are still
not the answer.

Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Some things need to change. Have a good day, right.

Speaker 38 (01:18:32):
Austin tone TJ east Side. First off, Audie, Wow, finally
coming around.

Speaker 7 (01:18:39):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (01:18:40):
Zach has got to go.

Speaker 38 (01:18:43):
Second, Tony, great job this weekend on the radio. Third,
I'm guessing what's about to come is the highlight of
Zach going. If we would have caught that yep on
side right there, we would have won that game. And
I firmly believe that if we keep Jake Browning, we'll
make the Super Bowl.

Speaker 37 (01:19:01):
M Robin Dayton again, sorry for the double dip. But
in case the local TV viewers don't realize, they left
that game yesterday due to a non competitive contest. I
don't know if the local people know that the nationwide
they finally turned that game off for the viewers. I

(01:19:23):
kind of wish they would have done it in our
area too. Yeah, that's all.

Speaker 2 (01:19:31):
And one of the crazy things in a year where
we might start looking at mock drafts. There are the
top ten teams right now. Arizona and Carolina two and three,
New York, Tennessee, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Miami, Baltimore, Cleveland
are all one and four, and the Jets are zero
and five. There's a lot of bad Tony.

Speaker 30 (01:19:48):
I was wondering maybe if you heard a phone call
for the Big twelve commissioner at around the end of
the second quarter Saturday. They want to keep that game close. Anyway,
that storm in the field that was pretty cool. Took
me back to my good of the Big East and
starting the field when someone else made a big win.

Speaker 2 (01:20:08):
I have no problem at all, no problem at all.

Speaker 12 (01:20:10):
Good afternoon, Tony and Audie.

Speaker 25 (01:20:12):
Hey, I'm impressed with the way the defense responded yesterday.
That was almost a winning defense if you had a
decent offense. Is magic Mike just that bad that they
couldn't given him a chance in the second half after
that poor performance by the Gunslinger.

Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
Mike White's not even acting.

Speaker 5 (01:20:35):
Yeah, let me know what you think.

Speaker 2 (01:20:36):
That's the great part the active roster. I'm talking about
a ripping.

Speaker 39 (01:20:40):
As bad as things are now, Lest not we forget
the Bengals are two fluke plays away from being zero
to five.

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Yeah, we've talked about that a lot. We aren't forgetting
it at all. Yep.

Speaker 40 (01:20:55):
God bless Jim Kelly.

Speaker 4 (01:20:56):
We're on his side.

Speaker 40 (01:20:58):
Great win for the Bearcats. They've got a solid, solid team.
I really worried about Sadderfield. He's got it going right now.
It seems like a size rushing the past for better.
I don't understand why he'd being covered. I would play
Berks more, make it makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:21:22):
Yeah, the Bearcats are well balanced on offense, man, then
they can beach in a lot of ways.

Speaker 41 (01:21:27):
Austin, your sports bucket list topic on Friday Night was
such a big hit. I suggest that we moved that
forward as the Doldrums approach, more sooner than later, maybe
into November even to resurface that topic again.

Speaker 2 (01:21:40):
At the Reservice a lot here.

Speaker 42 (01:21:43):
Downtown the red season. The Bengals are horrible, well even
bother getting out of bed. What's the point of it all?
Lord help us, help me with him?

Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
Lord help us all. Yeah. I was leaving baseball practice
last night.

Speaker 43 (01:22:02):
The game had just gotten over, so I got to
listen to all the Zach Taylor's press conference on the
way home, and I think the biggest takeaway for me
was how many times he slapped the podium. I think
maybe he actually is feeling some pressure whether or not
the front office will make a move.

Speaker 4 (01:22:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 43 (01:22:20):
I doubt that they haven't done it in recent years,
but I think he's really starting to feel some heat.
Thank God for fall Ball, Man.

Speaker 2 (01:22:28):
Fall ball. I think he probably knew he had a
game plan good enough to be competitive and it wasn't executed.

Speaker 4 (01:22:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 15 (01:22:36):
Hey, guys, Paul from Cleaves here double dipping. The one
thing about Zach Taylor's interview at the end of everything,
he was talking about how he could hear the crowd.

Speaker 2 (01:22:46):
You know, to me, you're above that.

Speaker 15 (01:22:49):
You can't hear the crowd.

Speaker 2 (01:22:51):
You're the coach, you know.

Speaker 15 (01:22:53):
He was showing his vulnerability yesterday, which is showing a
lot to me about him, and it shows me a
lot about his decision making if that's the case.

Speaker 2 (01:23:03):
If he was serious, Austin, you come out fourteen to
three with the ball and a chance to go score
a touchdown and be right back in the game the
second that interception was thrown by Jake Brown, and if
you're serious at all about winning, you make a change. Correct.
I have no problem with him, though I don't agree
with Paul here. I have no problem with him addressing
the elephant in the room because if he doesn't address it,

(01:23:27):
then he sounds completely tone deaf.

Speaker 9 (01:23:28):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
Of course he hears it, and he should hear it,
because the fans are what makes this thing happen. And yeah,
I had no problem with him addressing that.

Speaker 44 (01:23:38):
Yes, still flexing catch threaton out here in Sonny hot
ands on it?

Speaker 5 (01:23:42):
What up?

Speaker 2 (01:23:42):
Tonny?

Speaker 5 (01:23:42):
What up?

Speaker 2 (01:23:43):
Body man?

Speaker 44 (01:23:43):
First things first, Kelly, prayers for you, buddy, miss you
on radio. Get will soon comes back. Tony, You're doing
an excellent job on radio. I'm loving a call with
you and Dan Or. I'm getting used to this on
Saturdays now. We a little bit spoiled. Real talk Bengals
trash JB six, don't trust coaches? Oak team was a
joke right now, FC Cincinnati w M. Let's bring home
the cup on a coach set to see hot but

(01:24:06):
I turned it down by another degree.

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Okay, okay, get comfortable coach set you want if you
had to pick, if you're a UC fan and and
and they're both available Saturday, you want sat or fickle
coach in that game. I think a lot of I
think a lot of Bearcut fans are now so on set. Okay, relax,
you you're not and do you just watch fickle Fred

(01:24:29):
Chuck cover so uh truck. I hope that.

Speaker 22 (01:24:34):
Front office listening. I got a streak twenty coming up
with two guys that I go to the games with.
I'm at a streak five next season and we're all
debating whether to renew. So if that's what's going to
help them get better, did they know their season ticket
members or failing?

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
Let's see M.

Speaker 6 (01:24:56):
Get all dressed up every Sunday getting ready the Bengals.

Speaker 45 (01:25:00):
It's like getting stood up on the date.

Speaker 43 (01:25:02):
You got your jersey on, you let your pumpkin candle,
you're all excited.

Speaker 36 (01:25:07):
Four o'clock rules around, they don't show up.

Speaker 4 (01:25:09):
A few months go by, they still haven't shown up.

Speaker 2 (01:25:12):
A few months.

Speaker 17 (01:25:12):
Here's the great news, only one hundred and twenty seven days.

Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
No, I'm not doing that picture catchers report.

Speaker 4 (01:25:18):
Oh boy, Jake Brownie cannot process fast enough. Okay, Jake
Brownie cannot process fast you know.

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 21 (01:25:34):
The wheels on the bust are following, falling off, following off,
the wheels on the butter falling off all around the team.

Speaker 7 (01:25:45):
So done.

Speaker 2 (01:25:46):
Hey Austin, Tony for here having bear casts once. The
Bengals just really ruined the weekend for me. Tony.

Speaker 35 (01:25:57):
I want to say, I listened to second half on
the radio the Bearcats.

Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
And you did a great job being up there with
Dan Horde. And want to know what you like better
be on the sideline or up in the food They
both get a great future being up there. Also, you also.

Speaker 12 (01:26:12):
Getting those dwhite looking tickets.

Speaker 2 (01:26:14):
Take care no listen that. I enjoy the sideline because
you're you're right in the middle of all the action,
but from a viewpoint standpoint and being able to see
few point, being able to see defensive rotations and what
they're doing in the back end. From my watching opportunity.
I like it better in the booth A viewpoint standpoint
few points. So as crappy as the Bengals are, we're

(01:26:35):
still two and three, a game ahead of the Ravens
and the Browns only a game behind the mid Steelers.
We need a new quarterback that can maybe keep us
a floating two months burrow and win the division at
we go. As far as you see Bearcats, I was
down in that game.

Speaker 20 (01:26:48):
Tone.

Speaker 2 (01:26:49):
All I gotta say is that you see football has
turned around ever since they gave you your props and
your flowers. Go Bearcats. Bengals enter today, just one spot.
Everybody pump ump the brakes for a second on the Cat.
Bengals enter today. Football left ninth place, and they do
hold the tiebreaker over Houston. So Bengals are right on

(01:27:09):
the outside looking in.

Speaker 17 (01:27:10):
Still storming the field is poverty, man.

Speaker 2 (01:27:13):
Come on, you know you're gonna win. Sorry for the
double dip, but I still think you're an idiot. It's
out here. You thank you, all right, that's your opinion.
We all share opinions here, So thanks for that. Glad
we were able to get that one in right there

(01:27:34):
at the gun. Uh, We'll be back in football in
the Natti Football. Well, wrap up our two and then
I'm gonna head north Twin Peaks in Westchester. Austin will
have our number three. And oh boy, I can't wait
to get with Mo this afternoon. Here what he's got
to say? He's looking for Mo All still ahead, ESPN
fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station, Gut You and.

Speaker 6 (01:27:56):
Part by Bud Light and by Oakley Green on ESPN
fifteen point thirty, the official home of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
Yes, that's right, it's football in the Nattie. It's our
number two, thanks to our friends at Cincy Shirts. Let's
run through a couple of these games on the college
slate that happened on Saturday. They wasn't a ton of
marquee games Austin. We've talked to U see Iowa State.
I think one that you and I discussed a little
bit off air. Another impressive performance by the defense at

(01:28:27):
Ohio State. Also the offense figuring things out forty two
points on the board against Minnesota. They routed PJ. Fleck.
That is a team in the Buckeyes getting better. Ohio
State has a really nasty running back group right now,
with about three dudes that can play in a home
run hitter and a guy by the name of Bo

(01:28:48):
Jackson no relation, but his name is Bo Jackson and
he's a beast. And Carnell Tait showed up this week,
which was big. Julian Sayin continues to get better. Jeremias
and it still exists. I mean, I think the only
time Ohio State ever gives up points is on the
opening drive, and once Matt Patricia adjusts, it's yeah, clink
Risch has been really good. Penn State goes on the

(01:29:12):
road to UCLA. Usula on the season had lost at
home forty three to ten against Utah. They went to
UNLV and lost thirty to twenty three. They lost at
home to New Mexico thirty five to ten. They lost
on the road at Northwestern they were owed four and
not only on four. They were one of the worst
teams in the country. Penn State, who was ranked second

(01:29:35):
to start the year coming off of lost to Oregon,
gives up forty two to UCLA and loses. It has
to be one of the biggest and worst losses in
recent memory in college football, without a doubt, and doing
so with the coaching staff. I think that's incomplete at UCLA.
Believe Deshaun Foster either got fired or walked away. Earlier

(01:29:56):
this year, Jerry Neuheisel was the new offensive coordinator, first
time he's ever called place for UCLA, and he puts
up forty two on Jim Knowles. Ha, huh, Jim Knowles,
that trader. It was twenty four and a half was
the spread? Put up forty two on Jim Knowles defense
out there in front about seventy five people at UCLA. Man,
the good news is we won't have to hear about

(01:30:16):
arch Manning anymore this year. What they fall to three
and two? Oh, they went to the swamp. Arch Manning
wasn't good. Florida beats Texas twenty nine at twenty one.
I said on Friday, Alabama with drag Vanderbilt out to
deep water. They did just that. Diego Pavia. If you're
gonna be practicing taking a knee and throwing the ball
in the air before the game, you better win the game.

(01:30:39):
Bad luck, bad loss. I think Texas Tech right now
is the best team in the Big Twelve. They routed Houston,
Kentucky routed by Georgia thirty five to fourteen. Hey, Wisconsin
kept it kind of close against Michigan. That's cool, you know.
Luke Fickle decided not to take time outs at the
end of the game, down fourteen. Michigan wins twenty four
to ten. Was Consin's winless in the Big Ten. Notre

(01:31:02):
Dame took care of boys. The Illinois hung a big
number on Purdue in Virginia, even though they were ranked
on the road, they were a six and a half
point underdog. They beat Louisville in overtime and in maction.
The Miami RedHawks winners over Northern Illinois. That gets you
up to speed on everything that happened in Week six,

(01:31:23):
very very early. Look ahead, Ohio State on the road
at seventeenth ranked Illinois this week. That's a big one. Yeah,
I'm gonna miss it. Yeah, how about that. I'll be
in the bowels of lambeau Field. You're gonna be on
Saturday night. You're gonna be on Saturday You're gonna be
in the bows of Lambo. What are you doing tour
in the stadium? Wow, that's pretty cool. Yeah, you got

(01:31:46):
other plans at Lambo? Yeah, meeting up with folks. Your
buddy Glenn's gonna meet with Glenn. Yeah. Do we know
anyone else going to the game. I've forgotten a few
messages from people that are going. Our producer, Joe Waddell,
Oh is going nice. I believe Jeff and Virginia will
be there. Go to Jeff Man. Who else? I know

(01:32:07):
somebody else? Gosh, I know somebody else that's going. I
can't think of. Yeah. Well, Glenn's good people man. He'll
take carry out there. I googled Glenn, his story, His
life is a fascinating He's a fascinating man. I'm excited
to hang out with Glenn. Make sure you asked Glenn
this week. He had a big fantasy football matchup against me.
Ask him how that went. Oh, I think Glenn might

(01:32:27):
have put up like fifty two this week. Oh no,
oh no, Glenn. Well, we'll spend more time as the
week goes on on the college football slate. Let's get
to break. I'm heading north. Austin's got hour number three?
What's coming up here Austin?

Speaker 7 (01:32:40):
Well, you know what.

Speaker 2 (01:32:41):
I was listening to an interview over the weekend with
Doug Peterson. Oh, and I was listening to it on
Saturday mornings. Saturday, and all of a sudden, I find
myself taking notes about what Doug Peterson said and how
that might apply to the Bengals depending on what happened Sunday. Well,
it applies. You'll hear from Doug Peterson, You'll hear from

(01:33:04):
Jake Browning, and I'll explain why I'm finally out on
Zach Taylor, plus you and Moe from Twin Peaks in Westchester.
That's just so you know, Tony and Mo Football Show.
It'll be the first thing I run to tell MO
when I get there. What is that you are finally out?

(01:33:25):
I'm sure Mo knows exact town. Well, I would imagine
most saw my tweet. We will We'll talk to you soon.

Speaker 2 (01:34:31):
Hi, Hello, Welcome in our three Monday midday Quarterback on
ESPN fifteen thirty. I'm Austin Elmore, the Big Fellow, on
his way up to Westchester Tony and Mo Football show
this afternoon with Tony and Mo. That'll be three to six.
You will hear from Bengals head coach Zach Taylor during
that show when he meets with the Medium. Now, if

(01:34:53):
you have listened to me on this radio station or
any of our radio stations in this in this market,
you have heard me oftentimes defend Zach Taylor. I have
always believed that there is something about Zach that works,
something about his offense, something about his relationship with Joe.

(01:35:16):
There is something about it that works, and there are
results to go off of that. I feel like would
agree with that sentiment. It would agree with that statement,
and without a doubt, they have seen more success under
Zach Taylor than any other head coach over the last
forty years. It goes without saying really over the last

(01:35:40):
thirty or forty years, But that doesn't mean that he's
without criticism, and that doesn't mean that he's a perfect coach.
And while I have certainly had thoughts about the way
Zach has done things that I haven't agreed with, I
still have believed that he was the right guy for
the locker room. He did a good job with Duke Tobin.
They came up with a plan and so on. But

(01:36:03):
now it feels like that has run out. You know,
what is unique about the Bengals is that the coaching
staff and the head coach specifically, they have a big
impact on who is drafted and who is not drafted.

(01:36:25):
And outside of Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow and T
Higgins and the obvious guys, there have been a lot
of swings and misses in the draft, and that kind
of puts us where we're at today with all of
the guys on defense that have been no good and
with the guy who is a big part of drafting
him and Louis and Rumo now being gone, and with

(01:36:45):
a new defensive system, and with an offensive line that
you still can't figure out, whether it's with free agents
or with guys that you draft, and you keep going
through offensive line coaches, and the scheme itself appears to
be an issue when it comes to keeping your court
back healthy. I have nowhere else to go but to
point the finger at Zach Taylor, and specifically when it

(01:37:11):
comes to drafting and developing young players. When players aren't
getting better, when they aren't progressing, when they aren't developing,
I have no choice but to point to the head
coach who comes up with the plan on how to
develop players. And I have no choice but to point
to the head coach who is the one who has

(01:37:35):
a significant hand in drafting these players. Now, this is
not to say that Duke Tobin is without blame, because
Duke Tobin is to blame. But I firmly believe that
Duke Tobin will be the Bengals director of player personnel
until Duke Tobin doesn't want to do that anymore. So,
much like we operate on a daily basis with the

(01:37:57):
assumption that the sun will rise in the east, we
have to operate when it comes to the Bengals with
the assumption that Duke Tobin is the director of player personnel.
And I don't know if any of that changes once
Mike Brown is out of the picture. I don't know.
I would seem to think it's not, but maybe it is.

(01:38:20):
But for the time being and for the immediate future,
for at least the next several years, I expect Duke
Tobin to be the guy. So how do we get
somebody in here that works well with Duke Tobin? That,
to me, is a huge part of the next head
coach of the Bengals, because whatever it is with Zach

(01:38:41):
Taylor right now, it's not working. The inability to draft
and develop those players has not worked, and put this
team in a position where it's currently constructed is not
a good football team. And with Burrow, sure things are different,
they're more comp Maybe even you've won one of these

(01:39:02):
last three games that you've dropped, it's possible. And maybe
even Joe is that good that he gets you into
a different level and he gets you into the playoffs,
and maybe, just maybe he's good enough to drag all
those guys with him. But without him, you see where

(01:39:26):
some of the other issues lie. And if you go
and look at at Tony's to focus strictly on yesterday's game,
if you go and look at at Tony's thread on
Twitter of the plays that Jake Browning missed, and if
you look at that through through the lens of the
play caller and the scheme, you think to yourself, dang,

(01:39:48):
Zach Taylor had guys open. This was the right play
call in the right moment. Now, it's not always that way.
The flea flicker play call was very stupid. He's done
that more than once. The inability to run and go
on more than once. We've talked about that over and
over and over again. He's not always a great play caller.
But again, there are parts of the scheme and parts

(01:40:09):
of attacking a defense where I think Zach is effective.
But the problem is your quarterback, who you have doubled
down and tripled down on supporting, is not good enough.
He's locking in on wide receivers. Defenses are following his eyes.
He's not looking off safeties. He's throwing the ball late,

(01:40:32):
he's holding it too long, he doesn't process fast enough.
He's inaccurate when he does throw it. He can't put
the ball where it needs to be. All of that
makes Zach Taylor's offense a lot less efficient and Zach,
in my opinion, it's really difficult to tailor your offense
to a really bad quarterback. And even more so, it

(01:40:52):
doesn't feel like there's anything easy for Jake Browning in
the offense. Anything creative, anything schematically really makes things easy
and creates easy separation where Jake Browning doesn't even have
to think. And it's compounded by the idea that through
the entirety of Zach Taylor's play a career as a
play caller and head coach at this pro at in

(01:41:14):
this franchise, they have not been able to run the
football and they have not been able to protect the passer.
So I am running out of excuses and running out
of fingers to point and where to point them other
than to Zach Taylor. So my patience going into yesterday
was running thin. And then to see the guy that

(01:41:37):
Zack doubled and tripled down on having unwavering confidence in
play that poorly number one, it makes Zach look stupid
and it makes it feel like the fans are stupid
for not believing him because clearly, you know, Jake is
our guy, and Jake this and Jake that. Well, Jake
sucked yesterday, like really sucked, and he knows it. I

(01:42:04):
put the inability to prepare a quarterback on the guy
who's running the offense and calling the plays. And then yesterday,
for Jake to perform the way that Jake did did,
for him to do that, and for Zach to stick

(01:42:25):
with him again, I found that to be insulting. I
found that to be tone deaf, and I found that
to be somebody who is completely unseerious about trying to
win football games. And so after another interception that wasn't
even remotely close, and everybody in the stadium and watching

(01:42:46):
the game on TV or listening to the radio on
Planet Earth knew Jake Browning doesn't have it. He's not
good enough. Go somewhere else. Zach ran him out there again,
and he lost me. Because you're not being serious about
trying to win. That's a major issue. And yeah, it

(01:43:10):
would break. Would Brett Rippen have played any better? I
don't know. Probably not, but you don't know until you try.
It's hard to play worse than Jake Browning played. And
the other thing I talk about often with coaches is
feel feel. Zacha didn't feel like I had any feel

(01:43:31):
for the game. The possession that ended the first half,
multiple timeouts, not even trying to go get a touchdown,
settling for three down, three possessions late. They're just lollygagging
in and out of the huddle. The motions from Jamar

(01:43:52):
Chase and others were weak. They weren't selling anything. There
seemed to be no urgency. It looked to me like
a reflection of the head coach. And then on top
of everything, when you talk about feel, you want to
talk about feel. All you had to do was look

(01:44:12):
at how bad Jake Browning was. Not only with his accuracy,
like he was on the first interception where wasn't even
close to Jamar Chase, and then on the deep ball
where he hitches up and gives it everything he's gotten,
the ball just slips out of his hand. It's a
wounded duck arm punt, and that was the best Jake

(01:44:33):
Browning could give you. And then the Alex Anzeloni interception,
where I have no idea to this day, to this
I have no clue what he was thinking or why
he thought that would work. Nothing about that made any sense.
And he's walking off the field, Jake Browning, and he

(01:44:54):
keeps slamming his hands into his helmet and he's cursing,
and he's grabbing his face mask, very clearly crashing out.
He's having a mental block on the inability to play
the position. He can't make the right decision, he can't
stop himself from not making the right decision. He keeps
doing it, and he has a mental block and is

(01:45:17):
having an issue where he's crashing out coming onto the sidelines.
It's one thing if Joe Burrow is getting really emotional,
or Patrick Mahomes or Josh Allen. We're talking about Jake
Browning here, a guy who's not good enough, and instead,
somehow nobody tells Zach this, or Zach doesn't see it,

(01:45:39):
or nobody seems to know that Browning doesn't have it
today and he's on the sideline losing his marbles. Confidence
for a quarterback is unbelievably important, I mean extremely important,
and Jake had none, and it wasn't getting any better

(01:46:01):
and the run game isn't there to help him in
the offensive line. Oh my gosh, the PFF grades from yesterday.
Dylan Fairchild was thirty eight point seven, Ted Carris forty
point eight, Orlando Brown Junior forty three point one. They

(01:46:22):
had four guys in the forties, or excuse me, one
guy in the twenties, one guy in the thirties, and
two guys in the forties in pass blocking grades Jalen
Rivers forty five point one, Ted Carris forty point three,
Dylan Fairchild thirty eight point three, and Orlando Brown Junior

(01:46:43):
pass blocking PFF grade twenty nine point four. You have
nothing going for you on offense, and yet let's run
Jake browning out there again. Doesn't make sense to me.

(01:47:04):
And I was listening to an interview with Doug Peterson
over the weekend. He was on Pardon My Take with
a Big Cat PFT. I'm sure many of you have
heard the podcaster or know about it, but I was
listening to Doug Peterson. This is about a two minute clip.
He was asked about the confidence of a quarterback and

(01:47:26):
how you have to coach that throughout the week, and
he was referencing his past with the Eagles and with
Carson Wentz and Nick Foles and some of those other quarterbacks,
and it just made me think because listening to Jake
Browning after the game. There's no confidence. It's shot, it's gone,
it's nowhere to be found. None, and you have to

(01:47:52):
coach that. Now you have to coach it going into Oh,
here's Micah Parsons and one of the best defenses in
the National Football League. We'll get you ready. You'll be
fine coming into this week at lambeau Field.

Speaker 8 (01:48:06):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
Wrong, I'm out of time in this segment. Let me
take a break. We'll come back. You'll hear from Doug
Peterson about coaching confidence for a quarterback throughout the week,
and then about when you know it's time to make
a change and how the locker room turns to the
head coach. We'll talk about that next ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 46 (01:48:29):
Three sixty is back on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports Station.

Speaker 2 (01:48:39):
Welcome back Monday midday Quarterback, ESPN fifteen thirty. I'm Austin Elmoren.
So the Bengals lose, Jake Browning is terrible. Not a
guy that seems to be supremely confident. Here's Jake brown

(01:49:01):
after yesterday's loss to the Lions.

Speaker 47 (01:49:04):
That starts with me playing better at the quarterback position
and not putting our team in difficult situations and there's
no hiding from that. And so that's that is what
it is. I mean, I appreciate him saying that, but
it's not on him.

Speaker 4 (01:49:18):
It's on me.

Speaker 47 (01:49:19):
I needs stopped throwing interceptions.

Speaker 2 (01:49:21):
Zach Taylor and Jake Browning playing the blame game with
one another. Who can take more blame for the way
the Bengals performed well? Zach tried to take most of it.
Everybody with eyeballs nos, it's primarily on Jake. But more
than anything, Zach allowed it to continue to snowball and
continue to get worse. And so now you're faced at
a crossroads. Zach said yesterday, it's fair to ask about

(01:49:45):
Jake Browning being the quarterback moving forward based off all
the turnover turnovers over the last three weeks. And again,
I was listening to this interview with Doug Peterson. He
was asked about how you can coach throughout the week,
what you go through with a quarterback and with a
backup quarterbacks pacifically, and how you coach the game plan
and how you coach confidence and all of that. This

(01:50:06):
is about two minutes. Take a listen to Doug Peterson,
who won a Super Bowl with a backup quarterback. Talking
about coaching quarterbacks throughout the week.

Speaker 45 (01:50:15):
You're obviously coaching him that player, that quarterback, the game plan,
you're teaching the game plan that week. And a lot
of times, you know, you say it's week to week, Well,
game plans are weekly too, right, So it's you might
get a new game plan each week just because you're
you're playing a different team a different scheme, right, So
sure there's some carryover and things like that, but the

(01:50:35):
communication starts really on Monday. You know, Sunday, you got
your your game, you win, lose, whatever, you fly back
to town. But it's Monday when you're when you're beginning
to put your game plan together. It's your your dialogue
with your quarterback, with with you know, with Nick Foles,
with with Trevor Lawrence, Carson Wentz, whoever it is, you know,
Alex Smith in Kansas City, and and you begin the

(01:50:57):
dialogue like what are you seeing?

Speaker 8 (01:50:59):
This is what we see?

Speaker 2 (01:51:00):
What are you saying? And then and then brainstorm ideas
what do you what do you like? What do you
you know? What from ourrow? Pick pick a player or
two you like from our offense. Pick eight plays. I
don't care.

Speaker 45 (01:51:09):
Maybe you have a new play you want to you
want to put in that week, but give it to
us on a on a Monday or a Tuesday morning
as we begin to plan. Let us as coaches see
if we can integrate it into our offense, and so
that that constant dialogue.

Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
Is ongoing throughout the course of the week.

Speaker 45 (01:51:25):
And and I wanted, I always wanted the quarterbacks input.
I always wanted to feel like he had ownership in
the game plan. It couldn't just be from Doug Peterson
or whoever my offense. According to Frank Reich Press Taylor,
whoever it was, it has to be his as well.
He's got to buy into what we're going to put
in on Wednesday as we begin begin the you know,
the prep prep for you know, the upcoming game. The

(01:51:48):
biggest thing is obviously confidence. And he's got to feel
a thousand percent confident going into that football game. And
that's the mindset that your quarterback has to have. And
that's why I'm not a big when it comes to quarterbacks.
I don't yell and scream and you know, get irate.
And you might be able to do that with a
d lineman or a linebacker offensive line, but with your quarterback,
you got to be calm, cool, collected, level headed.

Speaker 2 (01:52:10):
Hey, let's have conversation. What did you see on that play?

Speaker 45 (01:52:13):
What we saw on that play, This is what the
coaches in the box saw on that play, and let's
let's continue to have that dialogue. And that really goes
a long way in the success that you're going to have,
not only on Sunday, but the course of the year.

Speaker 2 (01:52:25):
He has to have one thousand percent confidence in the
game plan, in his ability, all of it. Who has
one thousand percent confidence in Cincinnati right now? Jamar Chase,
maybe Trey Hendrickson. Perhaps you think Zach Taylor has one

(01:52:50):
thousand percent confidence in Jake Browning. Do you think Jake
Browning has one thousand percent confidence in Jake Browning? Do
you think Jake has all the confidence in Zach. There's
no way anybody on that offense or anybody in the
organization has the confidence to believe that Jake Browning can

(01:53:11):
actually recover from this and be good enough to win games.
I smell bs over all of what Zach said about
he feels like Jake can win them games. If that's true,
then Zach I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt

(01:53:32):
because he's talking to the media, but there's no way
that can be true. And if it is true, I've
run out of nice things to say about Zach Taylor.
If that's the case, then you really just have no
idea what you're doing. And he should know better than anybody.
It's not there. It's not on the film, it's not

(01:53:55):
between the ears, it's not there mechanically. Jake Browning doesn't
have it. Zach knows it. Every other player on the
team knows it. So how do you recover from that?

(01:54:17):
And how can you, if you're Zach Taylor, look your
team in the eyes tomorrow or Wednesday and say we're
going to continue with Jake Browning. Here's another clip from
Doug Peterson talking about how he knew it was time
to change from Carson Wentz to Jalen Hurts in the

(01:54:37):
twenty twenty season because the team was kind of going nowhere,
they were stuck and they needed a switch. Take a
listen and see if you can draw any comparisons between
the twenty twenty Eagles and the twenty twenty five Bengals.

Speaker 45 (01:54:52):
Well, Carson Wentz goes into the season as our starter,
you know that year, and started the year and we
didn't have a very good year in twenty twenty.

Speaker 8 (01:55:02):
Just was not our year.

Speaker 45 (01:55:03):
Things weren't going our way. Carson wasn't playing exceptionally well,
we weren't running the football. We we just couldn't do
much offensively. And finally you just get to a point
where you feel like you've got to do something for
your football team. You hear coach speak like, this is
what's best for the team. Well, it's really what's best
for the team because the team is looking at me,

(01:55:26):
going coach. They're not saying this, but they're looking at
me going, you need to make a change. It's just
this is not working. And the change has to be
at the quarterback position. I mean, you could change a
linebacker out, you could change a dB out, you could
change no lineman out. It doesn't affect the football team
as much. But you change your quarterback. Now you're sending
a message to everybody like, whoa, we need we need

(01:55:48):
to pick this thing up. And it wasn't anything against
Carson Wentz. It was just the fact that we as
a whole team, we weren't coaching and playing very well. Yeah,
I needed to do something to spark the team. And
so had that conversation with Carson earlier in the week
and say, listen, I'm gonna sit you. I'm gonna play Jalen.
You know, we had four games left on our schedule.
We weren't really going anywhere, and it was time to

(01:56:12):
let Jalen, you know, to jail let Jalen play now.

Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
Obviously that was with four games left in the season,
not with ten or twelve games left in the season
like the Bengals are dealing with right here. But he said,
everybody on the team starts looking at me as if
to say, I need to do something. I've got to
find a way to spark this team. If you're the

(01:56:36):
Bengals defense, how do you feel That's one of the
best performances. And it wasn't great, but it's one of
the best performances they've had in the last two years.
And they lost, even though they probably did enough against
one of the best offenses in the NFL. And they
gave up fourteen points off of turnovers, and then there
was another two points given up on a safety. The

(01:56:59):
Bengals lost the game by thirteen points. Like that sort
of stuff. You've got to get figured out. And I
have a hard time taking Zach or anybody seriously if
you go into this week against the Green Bay Packers
and say, yep, Jake Browning's our guy. Now, the other

(01:57:25):
thing here is what options do you have? How can
you change right now and immediately get an upgrade? Well,
you're not going to go from outside the organization and
get a guy in a couple of days who's going
to come in and operate the offense and be so
much better. I don't think that that's possible. But you

(01:57:47):
should be planning right now for if nothing else, October
twenty sixth against the Jets. Can you bring in a
Russell Wilson? Can you bring in a Jamis Winston? Can
you kick the tires on a Derek Carr? Can you
see what's going on with Andy Dalton? I don't know
anybody see what Desmond Ritter is doing in Minnesota? He

(01:58:10):
was here once already. Or can you elevate Mike White
to the active roster? What about Sean Clifford, Hell Brett
Rippen is on the team, he's at least active. You
got to start preparing because you've got Green Bay and
then a short week at home against Pittsburgh, and then
you've got the Jets, who can't take the ball away

(01:58:32):
from anybody on defense, and the Bears, who are teams
that are at the very least on your level that
you should be competitive in trying to beat them. And
if you don't win against Green Bay or Pittsburgh, the
Jets or the Chicago Bears, guess who's asses in the
unemployment line during the bye week. Zach Taylor and a

(01:58:53):
lot of others. So the time is now. The time
for urgency is right now if you're serious about being
a contender. And that's not just with Zach Taylor. That's
with Duke Tobin, it's with Mike Brown, it's with Katie Blackburn,
it's with everybody in that organization who has a hand

(01:59:16):
in developing and acquiring players for this roster. Everybody. Now,
the other option, the one that I think makes the
most sense, if nothing else, just to see what it
looks like, is Mike White. Mike White was in training
camp this year with the Buffalo Bills and was in

(01:59:38):
a hotly contested backup quarterback contest with Mitch Trubisky, and
Trubisky has had the familiarity there in Buffalo and was
able to beat him out. But Mike was close in
those final cutdowns for the Buffalo Bills. He's now been
here for a couple of weeks already, He's been on

(01:59:58):
your practice squad. Can Mike White, who has at least
played and been successful at times in this league, can
he at least make the right read on a cover two?
Can he understand the leverage of a cornerback against Jamar Chase?
Can he get the ball to the check down quicker

(02:00:20):
so you can get four yards instead of two? Can
he do the bare minimum to operate the offense. We're
not asking somebody to be Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes
or Josh Allen here. We're asking can somebody operate the
offense at the bare minimum level right now? Maybe your

(02:00:40):
best option is Mike White, But you brought him in
here for a reason, didn't you. Again, you're not asking
and you're not expecting him to be an MVP caliber quarterback.
But he can be better than Jake Browning was on Sunday.

Speaker 8 (02:00:59):
Like can't he?

Speaker 2 (02:01:02):
You would think, take a break, we'll come back. This
is the Monday midday quarterback ESPN fifteen thirty. When cancer
hits the right time. Monday Midday Quarterback ESPN fifteen thirty.
I'm Austin Amore, ten minutes from now, Tony Pike, Moeger,

(02:01:24):
Twin Peaks, Westchester, Tony and Mo Football Show. They'll stop
by for quick hits. Try to think what direction I
want to go with this last five or six minutes here.
Try to keep you updated with the latest. We are

(02:01:44):
going to hear from Zach Taylor later this afternoon. We
do have a little bit of news regarding a former Bengal.
The Las Vegas Raiders have released linebacker Jermaine Pratt. Jermaine
Pratt released by the race today. He did not travel
with the team to Indianapolis for that forty to six

(02:02:06):
beat down that they suffered. Said it was non injury
reasons that he didn't travel, and then Pete Carroll said
today that the team just simply decided to go in
a different direction. So Jermaine Pratt released. Before you say anything, no,
Jermaine Pratt, no interest in him coming back. That would

(02:02:28):
be like just signing Jake Browning to play quarterback again.
It's just it's not happening. Jermaine Pratt clueless on the
defensive end, not a good teammate either. Although we all
love Jermaine Pratt for what he did in that playoff
game and we always will, but I don't think there's
any need for Jermaine Pratt and a reunion between him

(02:02:49):
and the Bengals. I mentioned the pass blocking grades from
Pro Football Focus on the offensive line. The total grades
for the Bengals starting offensive line are this the worst
Dylan Fairchild thirty eight point seven, then Ted Carris forty
point three, Orlando brown junior third with forty three point one.

(02:03:13):
Rookie Jalen Rivers had a fifty six point one total grade,
and Amarius MEM's second year had a sixty nine point
one PFF grade. On the offensive line, I expect there
to be issues and growing pains and mistakes made by
Dylan Fairchild as a rookie left guard, and he did

(02:03:36):
make them the safety that Jake Browning took complete with
from Fairchild. One thing I'll say about the Bengals offensive
line is it rarely feels like their eyes are in
the right place, and it makes it difficult to go
up against stunts. It makes it difficult to be in
the right position and see where players are coming from.

(02:03:58):
I don't know how that's coached by Scott Peters, but
that seems to be a common issue with the Bengals
offensive line. Their eyes are not in the right place.
And secondly about the offensive line, when I'm writing down,
like thinking forward to the future of the Bengals and now,

(02:04:18):
I'm kind of operating under the assumption that the Zach
Taylor's not going to be here because I don't see
this getting any better, and so I'm operating under that
assumption Zach won't be here. And so I look ahead
to twenty twenty six, and they're gonna have sixty four
million dollars in cap space as of right now. That's

(02:04:39):
plenty of cap space. Plenty of cap space. They need
a left tackle, they need a center, they need a
right guard that's on offensive line alone, like they also
probably need another tight end, and they need wide receiver
three through five, and on the defensive side of the ball,

(02:05:02):
they need upgrades at every single position. Which is why
if it's me and we continue down the path that
we're currently on and you expect them to lose against
Green Bay in which they are fourteen and a half
point underdogs, might get up to seventeen by the time
the game rolls around. And then Pittsburgh, who is at
the top of the AFC North right now, and if

(02:05:24):
they are to lose one of those two against the
Jets and Bears, and let's be honest, that's not off
the table, right then you really got to start thinking
about next year, starting with Trey Hendrickson. When you have
that many holes and I'm counting one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,

(02:05:49):
at least eleven holes starting spots between your offense and
your defense, you need picks. The Bengals are going to
be set up with draft picks, assuming that I don't
win very many games the rest of the year, and
they have the cap space. It's over sixty million, and
I'm sure they'll get more with some cap casualties. And

(02:06:09):
if you can get draft picks for Trey Hendrickson, you
got to consider it. And the reason I say this
is because Joe Burrow probably not gonna come back this year,
but you still have Joe Burrow and you cannot waste
another year of his prime.

Speaker 8 (02:06:27):
Right now.

Speaker 2 (02:06:28):
They're wasting a year of Jamar Chase's prime. They're wasting
a year of t Higgins prime, just like they did
last year. We saw how amazing those guys can be,
and because they didn't have the defensive people for it,
they wasted a year of those players prime. Well, another
year right now has been wasted, and then the clock

(02:06:48):
really starts ticking once you get into twenty twenty six.
Life goes fast in the NFL. It's short. You've got
to be prepared to quickly flip the raw uster and
be more competitive, especially when Cleveland, as we mentioned earlier,
they seem to have hit on their draft class. Pittsburgh

(02:07:10):
might maybe still be stuck in the mud and are
going to have some financial issues. Baltimore might be staring
at a reset at several positions. You've got to start
thinking about tomorrow right now. I'm not saying punt on
the season. I'm not saying give up, I'm not saying quit.
But at what point do you reach this season saying Okay,

(02:07:32):
this isn't working. We got to start making decisions with
next year and twenty seven and twenty eight in mind
so that we can have Joe Burrow here and actually
make a run at this thing. By the way, as
of now, cap space in twenty six sixty four million,
twenty seven one hundred and twenty six million, and twenty
eight one hundred and eighty three million. So let's say

(02:07:54):
the Bengals do fire Zach Taylor. This job is not
a desirable job because of the structure of the front
office and the Brown family. That turns people away. But
you know what doesn't turn people away. Joe Burrow, Jamar
Chase under contract and one hundred plus million dollars in
cap space within two years that anybody will sign up for.

(02:08:21):
We'll take a break, we'll come back. We'll talk to
Moegger and Tony Pike. Twin Peaks, Westchester, Tony and Mo
Football Show. Quick Hits is next on the Monday midday
Quarterback ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 46 (02:08:32):
Since and he continues on ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati's sports station.
It's time for Sincy three sixty Quick Hits on ESPN
fifteen thirty.

Speaker 2 (02:08:43):
Yes, indeed, it is time for quick Hits. And I
know that Moe and Tony are standing by Twin Peaks
and Westchester ahead of the Tony and Mo Football Show.
What's up, boys? How are we doing?

Speaker 8 (02:08:54):
You know what I'm doing? Well?

Speaker 5 (02:08:54):
I have a question for you guys. You guys are
both big football fans, big Bengals fans. Yeah, lots of
Detroit Lions fans at the game yesterday, and they were
cool as hell. I think there's a little bit of
a kinship between Bengals fans and Lions fans. These are
franchises that have dragged their respective fan bases through some
really tough times, both Midwestern cities, blue collar cities. Yes,
so I met a lot of really cool Lions fans yesterday.

(02:09:17):
They were in all weekend watching the Tigers play, watching
their favorite college football team play. In our section yesterday,
the Lions fans, many of them had blue hard hats
on or silver hard hats on, Lions branded construction hats on.

Speaker 8 (02:09:32):
Are you a real fan if you're not wearing one
of those?

Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
Nope, that's the old lunch pale.

Speaker 8 (02:09:36):
Can we make that a thing here?

Speaker 2 (02:09:38):
Blue collar? That was a thing for a while. If
I remember back in the when I was a kid,
I seem to remember that happening a lot with the stripes.

Speaker 8 (02:09:47):
This is collar. This is gonna be my thing.

Speaker 5 (02:09:50):
I'm gonna get a Bengals branded construction helmet and that's
gonna be that's.

Speaker 2 (02:09:54):
Better than the paper bag somebody pitched last week.

Speaker 5 (02:09:56):
Saw a lot of paper bags at the game yesterday, Yeah,
a lot of It's a lot of paper bags people
walking out that the game kind of got ugly. And
but I also saw Bengals fan more than one of
those hats that I don't understand, the oversize one. No,
that says Cincinnati upside down appropriately.

Speaker 8 (02:10:14):
Yeah, do you know what?

Speaker 2 (02:10:15):
They figured some things out in the fourth court? Now,
Ben Denucci, the famous backup quarterback, he started that brand
of the upside down hats. That's his brand than Browning.
You know he's out of football. Now what business do
you think Jake Browning will start next year?

Speaker 5 (02:10:32):
It's a great you know, we used to have Tom
Browning here, God rest his soul, mister perfect.

Speaker 8 (02:10:38):
What's Jake Browning m.

Speaker 2 (02:10:43):
Followers to figure out today? Mister not perfect? Brendan Soresby
was nearly perfect about the Cats now, huh, Well, it's
no longer a governing body can so in the line
double dip on weekends.

Speaker 5 (02:10:58):
You know, the line has been blow between pro and
college football. And by the way, best healthy quarterback in
the city. Let me just clarify. You know, we have
a rule on this show. You know what that rule is,
Winners go first.

Speaker 14 (02:11:11):
WHOA.

Speaker 5 (02:11:12):
So we will air the Zach Taylor press conference out
of contractual obligations, and then the show will begin by
talking about four one Bearcats, one of four teams undefeated
in Big twelve play, getting set to host UCF on Saturday.
Cats coming off what I thought was an impressive performance.
I'm not necessarily sure the score reflected how good they were,

(02:11:35):
but look, man, it feels like the program is turning
a corner. Maybe it hasn't already, but it feels like
they're turning a corner, and we're gonna start.

Speaker 8 (02:11:46):
The show by talking about it.

Speaker 2 (02:11:47):
I'm ready for that. Can I ask you something real quick?
More to milestone twenty four hours for our guy Austin.
Now he's gonna go to Green Bay for the game
with some other I think there's some listeners that are
heading to the game as well. Nice cool. So he's
gonna spend time in Green Bay. But before heading out
to Green Bay, he put on his social media last
night and then he doubled down on the air today.
I heard that he is now out on Zach Taylor

(02:12:08):
as the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals. Your immediate thoughts.

Speaker 5 (02:12:11):
Fair, It's fair. I have no issue with that. I
focus more on the construction of the roster. I'm out
on Duke Tobin because I don't trust him. I don't
trust him to fix this. I don't trust Zach Taylor
to make do, which is ultimately what a head coach
has to do. I understand anybody who's out on Zach Taylor,
and frankly, I don't know what the argument against Austin is.

(02:12:34):
I say this not to excuse Zach, because I watch
other coaches, including Zach Taylor in the past, figure it out.

Speaker 8 (02:12:42):
I look at this roster.

Speaker 5 (02:12:43):
My issue is Duke Tobin did with that guy over
there is doing right now? He just sat there all
off season.

Speaker 2 (02:12:48):
Yeah, but he only speaks twice a year.

Speaker 8 (02:12:51):
I don't care about that.

Speaker 5 (02:12:52):
Yep, I unanswered anything when when Duke Tobin was putting
together good rosters, he never spoke And that's okay. Whatever
he says is going to be completely irrelevant. Go ahead,
that's the thing you just mentioned. He has put together
good rosters.

Speaker 2 (02:13:06):
And how much of it do you put on the
idea that head coaches and all the coaching staff in
this town or in this franchise have a significant impact
on scouting and drafting the toe, right, But you say
putting together a good roster, and yet last week we

(02:13:27):
couldn't name ten players on this roster that you would
want back for sure next year.

Speaker 8 (02:13:30):
I can't name five I legitimately non I exempt rookies.

Speaker 5 (02:13:34):
Okay, I'll put Schamar Stewart over here, Dimitrius Knight over here,
everybody else. I can't think of five players I'm excited
about watching. I look at the draft classes at the
last five years, and I see one guy after another
who I'm still waiting for or who I know can't play,
Like Duke Tobin stumbled into Joe Burrow.

Speaker 8 (02:13:52):
That's neat. He made the decision to take Jamar Chase.

Speaker 5 (02:13:55):
Oh god, really, what a brain buster there, Like his
biggest successes have and for the most part obvious, even
when he built good defenses early in the twenty twenties,
it's because they had an abundance of money to spend
that they went out and overpaid.

Speaker 2 (02:14:10):
So like again, man, dude, they can't build the roster,
and then they can't out coach other teams if their
roster is better.

Speaker 5 (02:14:16):
It's it's just it's an organization that's based on one
thing happening, Joe Burrow being great, and even that was
flimsy because Joe Burrow was great last year and it
didn't work. Take away Joe Burrow and it collapses. That's
on everybody involved. If you want to say ownership primarily,
that's fine. That's on Duke, it's on Zach. It's on
everyone involved. And so I have no faith in this

(02:14:38):
head coach to figure it out with what he has
right now. I have no We're gonna do another offseason
of maybe Duke Toby can fix the offensive line, gotleichi
We've been doing that for ten years, or you know what,
this will be the offseason that he looks at the
defense and says, got to make.

Speaker 2 (02:14:50):
It better, like Austin, just hit on it. You're gonna
need a left tackle, a center, and a right guard
just to start, plus.

Speaker 8 (02:14:56):
Like eleven line, plus like eleven dudes on defense.

Speaker 2 (02:14:58):
Yeah, still try to fix the old line.

Speaker 5 (02:15:00):
So this doesn't absolve Zach Taylor from any amount of
blame you want to give him, because we've all used
the example of Kyle Shanahan. We were texting each other
on Thursday night. I saw a coach figure it out
against a good opponent on the road on a short week,
figured it out. They didn't play great, but they were functional.
They put themselves in a position to win without a

(02:15:21):
thousand guys. But at the end of the day, the
construction of the roster wasn't good enough last year, it's
not good enough this year. Do we trust Duke Tobin
with the Joe Burrow window open in twenty twenty six
to build one next season?

Speaker 2 (02:15:35):
I don't think anybody does. And I also don't think
that there's a hot seat for Duke Tobin. I don't
think that his job is outside under fire by any
stretch outside of Joe and Jamar. Who's his best draft pick,
Geno Atkins.

Speaker 5 (02:15:50):
It's fifteen years right, exactly, But that's where you gotta go.
Jesse Bates is a good pick. Sam Hubbard was a
good pick.

Speaker 2 (02:15:57):
Terrible decision.

Speaker 5 (02:15:58):
Let him water, sure, I mean like, but okay, that's
twenty eighteen. That's Marvin Lewis's last year's.

Speaker 2 (02:16:05):
Forever again exactly, And that's my point. Marvin, and specifically
evaluating defensive talent, had a knackt for that and had
an impact on the draft room. I don't know that
I trust anybody there now. Also took John Ross.

Speaker 4 (02:16:20):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (02:16:21):
I mean, like you know, the the draft failures go back.
I's it's a challenge. Everybody has acknowledged it's going to
be a challenge to build the roster when you have
such a huge chunk of payroll devoted to basically one
part of your team. Okay, so you can't overpay like
you did.

Speaker 8 (02:16:40):
For DJ Reader. You can't just throw a bunch of
money at defense. That's what they did and it worked
to their credit.

Speaker 5 (02:16:45):
It work so without the ability to just how you
could say somebody said, well the defense was impressive yesterday.
It was because when the Bengals cut it to eleven
and the fourth quarter, what do the defense do? Just
let the Lions go right down the field. Which was
my question all offseason. Can the defense get stops when
the game is hanging in the balance. So next year,
how's Duke Toba gonna fix the defense? How's Duke Toba

(02:17:06):
gonna fix the offensive line when he hasn't been able to?

Speaker 2 (02:17:08):
Just gonna be a fun show today, I come out
to Westchester Twin Peaks in Westchester, Tony and Mo football
show boys. We'll be listening. Thank you, Thanks Ay, thanks all,
Thanks guy, Thanks dude. Yeah whatever man smell eger.

Speaker 4 (02:17:22):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:17:22):
They're gonna have Zach Taylor coming up right at three o'clock.
Buckle in for that one. This has been the Monday
midday quarterback home of the Bengals, ESPN fifteen.
