Cincy three sixty continues on ESPN fifteenthirty Cincinnati Sports Station. It's time for
Cincy three sixty quick hits on ESPNfifteen thirty. All right, welcome back
Sincy three sixty right here on Cincinnati'sESPN fifteen thirty. I'm Chad Brendel.
I will be in for Moeger onThe Moeger Show, but I'm in studio
(00:22):
now because our guy Tony Pike madea swift jaunt down to the banks,
down to the practice fields for thefirst practice of training camp. Tony,
how's it going, Chad? Youknow, I'm still trying to figure out
the ways around here. For manymany folks, day one of training camp
(00:42):
as a learning experience, and forme right now, it's more about learning
how to get into the building, how to get my credentials, and then
how to run out the practice andsee guys in their helmets and what Joe
Burrows hair color looks like and allthose things in person. How'd you finish
up Monday? How was the scoreplay? Well? Yeah, I think
we finished up like fourteen thirteen orfourteen under, which is a good score,
(01:07):
but not nearly good enough to winan outing like that. No,
but I mean as long as youdidn't play poorly, like that's the key,
correct, And that's really where we'reat right now. It was a
great event. Yeah, it's alwaysa great event, and you know,
Zach Taylor was a part of theevent. On Sunday night, Tom Izzo
spoke on after the event. Sothey always do a really good job at
(01:32):
the event, and I'm happy tobe a part of it. I'm glad
you got to be a part ofit as well. Yeah, the skyline
chili was great, had a coupleCony's and then the the poor tenderloin from
Lushies Q was outstanding. Yeah, that was real. How about that too?
How about them setting you up rightby the skyline? I know,
I mean I was in a perfectspot. There was a place to get
some ice water, there was aplace to get food, We had some
(01:53):
shade thanks to Rodney bringing the tent. Like we were set. It was.
It was outstanding. What are youlooking for today, ton, what
are you looking to check out? You're always excited? Yeah, I thought
it was interesting. Zach Taylor spokea little bit ago about you know,
easing guys in and and certainly havean idea of REP management going into this
(02:16):
camp for guys like Joe Burrow. He talked about early on in camp,
you're going to see a lot ofthe younger guys getting the reps and I
don't think that that is alarming.I think that's a good thing, but
it will continue to kind of hangover camp. What is the capability?
Is there any restriction on Joe Burrow? And until you see him just spinning
(02:36):
it day after day after day,you always do one in the back of
your mind want to see, Okay, when is he going to let it
all loose? I think the Ithink the REP limit is great. I
think easing these guys in the campis also great. But at the same
time, when you can start tosee some of these starters who are going
to be relied on for much ofthe season, I think there's always going
to be that caution when it comesto the Bengals because, let's say sick
(03:00):
the Bengals season, Chad didn't endat the end of the year last year.
It ended when Joe Burrow went downbecause they're their hopes of winning the
Super Bowl went away and that's whenthe season ended. So it's been a
long offseason. I want to seethese guys back. I want to see
him back in action, and andand the Super Bowl roster put together that
many people feel it is. Butwhat's the word on Trent Brown anything?
(03:22):
Uh? It sounds like he justhas what Zach Taylor used the term tightness.
I'm not really sure what tightness refersto, but Zach Taylor says they're
being cautious with him. For me, that that's an opportunity for Marius Mems,
a guy who you know, peopleraved about Chad coming out of Georgia.
The one knock where the Marius Memswas the reps. Well, when
(03:43):
Trent Brown is unable to practice, that means the Marius Bimms get more,
gets more reps. And I thinkthat's a very good thing for this Bengals
team. How much are you goingto be able to ascertain from the play
of the defense throughout this camp becausethey were bad last year. They were
bad against the run, they werebad against the explosive play, Like this
defense has to get better. Well, so much of last year during camp
(04:08):
the conversation was it's hard to geta grasp of who they are because they're
not going against Joe Burrow because hedidn't he didn't practice during training camp last
year. And that's kind of theother fallback of Zach Taylor's comments earlier.
If Joe Burrow is going to beeased into this, if he's gonna have
days off, that means that thesecondary is not getting those reps as well.
I think you get a great opportunityduring one on one, seven on
(04:30):
seven team to get good looks whereit's hard in other positions because of the
physicality. You're not tackling, you'renot going live on the offensive, defensive
line. Secondary, you can usuallyget a pretty good idea. When Joe
Burrow is not practicing, you don'tget a grasp of the day of that.
Yeah, all right, ton,are we locks of the Night?
Here? Are we getting into that? Sure? Okay, let's do Lots
(04:53):
of the Night. Hi Degenerates,It's time for Lots of the Night presented
by since he Shirts. Visit thestores in Hyde Park, Lovelin, or
on Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell andalways online at Sissy shirts dot com.
Now let's make you some money, all right, hand out of town.
Uh, let's just keep it simpletoday, sed Uh? I like the
(05:15):
uh, well, let's miss thetemple, because I could have kept it
simple, and I could have givena cop out today and said, like,
my only lock is that you knowSangles training camp and Joe Burrow is
going to be healthy for today's portioningof Bengal training camp. But if we
really want to dive into the nutsand bolts of it, uh, I
think Kansas City has a legitimate chanceto make it in the second half of
(05:35):
the season. Bobby Wood Junior wasrobbed of the opportunity to have a cycle
by getting hit by a pitch theother night. So I like the Royals
at home against the Herosona Diamondbacks.I also am gonna lock in me having
to figure out a better way todo camp reports because I am sweating already
and that that that perspiration gets intothe earpiece of the cell phone. So
(05:58):
I've got to figure out a betterway to handle camp. That's gonna be
a lock. And uh, theKansas City Royals as well, all right,
And then probably since the Reds hadan offensive explosion this afternoon, probably
the Reds under tonight. That's agood point. But more importantly, locking
me talking to you three times overthe next three hours as well can't wait.
As Bengal hater Bart Scott once said, all right, that's gonna wrap
(06:21):
it up. This is since threesixty The Moweger Show with not Moeger with

online at ESPN fifteen thirty dot com, on your phone with the iHeartRadio
app, and on hundreds of deviceslike Alexa, Google Home, Xbox and
