Speaker 2 (00:03):
Coverage starts Saturday at three.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
On ESPN fifteen thirty, the official home of the Bengals
since E three sixty continues on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports Station. It's time for since the three sixty quick
Hits on ESPN fifteen thirty.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Was looking for me three to six the ESPN fifteen
thirty Cincinnati Sports Station. We are joined now by Moeger
getting ready for the Muegger Show. What's up?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Moll Tony, Austin, Howie doing?

Speaker 4 (00:31):
You guys have wetted my appetite for one of my
favorite segments coming up in a couple of weeks, which is,
of course three weeks from today, the Locks of the
Night College football season Futures preview.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
But you were running through.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Some of them, Yeah, are you gonna let me give
a couple that I that I kind of like early?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Please?

Speaker 4 (00:53):
So one thing that I think is going to be
in vogue this year because of expanded conferences and more
conference games in some cases our conference win totals. So obviously,
you know we always focus on over unders win totals
for the entire season, but you could do conference win totals,
So like, I'm gonna lock in perdue Big ten win
total under two and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
I've got for the season.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Rutgers over six and a half, Michigan State leading under five,
TCU under seven and a half. I think I'm going
under Kentucky's number this year, which I don't like to do.
I'm going under Florida's number and getting back to conference
win totals. You can buy Cincinnati at two and a
half if you're if you're like, if you're leaning on

(01:36):
the under for the season, I think that's based on
uncertainty early, yeah, and them not winning some coin flip
games early. But the Big twelve schedule for them is
pretty favorable. Can they get to three? If so?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Over two and a half you see conference wins?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Okay, I like these? What else you have coming up
on your show today?

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Everybody is going to talk about what they want to
see in the game on Saturday Night. I'm gonna borrow
a phrase from a Star Wars movie. Oh, I can
tell you what I.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Like.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
The first three films, when it was just about some
guy dressed up like a robot blowing up planets. When
they started making the prequels, and I had to like
use my brain and figure out, Okay, why why is there?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
What's going on here?

Speaker 4 (02:23):
I started to check out, and then when they killed
Hans Solo, I decided, you know, I'm done here. He
just killed like the dude that I cared about when
I was a kid. So hardcore Star Wars fans have
kind of ruined the franchise for me. But I'm going
to bring up a phrase from one of the films
that came out when I was a kid, and talking
about the Bengals. Jason Williams of The Inquirer, who's our

(02:44):
colleague at I Heeart because he does some shows down
the hall, he says he can't get into college football.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
He's struggling.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
You know. He got an email and he answered it
in a column, and like, I think there's something wrong
with his point of view. Actually, I don't know that
there's anything wrong with the point of view because he's
entitled to his opinion. I'm going to help him because
there's a lot of stuff happening in college football that
I don't like. But I still can't wait for the season,
and I think this season is actually going to be

(03:12):
a blast, So I'm gonna help out Jason. Chad Brendle's
going to be on our show at four twenty. It's Thursday,
so he talks to you see football with us? Of course,
we've got you down there at the Bengals practice inside
the stadium today.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
How does the new field look?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Unbelievable? Like, is it it visibly just pops?

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Would it look better with the leap tiger?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Right?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
But the end zones look really cool, as does like
the font and everything like that, and it just looks
like a clean turf. That's good, which is always key.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Well, nobody's ever used it, so games out there is
clean at the moment.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
What what's your other do you have? Like a different like,
what's your favorite series or movie series of all time?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
Rocky really? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (03:52):
What about TV?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
The Sopranos? Okay, yeah, somebody asked us earlier, Mo, your
favorite football movie is what?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Hmm, that's a good question. I am a sucker for
Remember the Titans. Yeah, that's it's in my mind. It's
the best.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I am a sucker for that film.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
I don't think it's a great movie, but that's one
of those if it's like if it's on, like I'm
watching like I am, and they took some incredible editorial
liberties with the story that that's based on.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
But like.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
I'm a sucker for I'm a sucker for that film.
I also when I was a kid, I like the
movie Wildcats Goldie Horn.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
Yeah, yeah, okay, I like Goldie Horn.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Draft Day. I'm one of the few people likes Draft Day.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Our guy Dave Abbott down here says North Dallas forty.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Is his North Dallas forty. The original one is good.
I I'm a I'm a.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Bit of a I think I'm the only human being
that says Draft Da is a good movie.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Okay, okay, yeah, that's a pretty good film.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Anything. We saw the fights yesterday from Bengals training to
get anything today you're looking forward to hearing about from
from the practice or anything you want me to look
out for mo for you. I want more fights, more fights, Okay, right,
I'll see what I can do.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Why, well, I mean, why would I want Why would
I not want that? I want more fights?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Okay, we're like forty five minutes in the practice.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Have there been any yet to no fights yet? It's
been a very light practice to this point.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I want more fights.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, Lastly, why can't the Reds get over the hump
of getting close to five hundred? Why is it every
time they get within like one, two or three games,
they just start losing.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Because they're not a good team.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Yeah, I'm sure we said to that. I wish I
wish there was another Pythagoram theorem we could talk about,
or how they're underachieving or this, and that they're just
not a good baseball team.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
They've played one hundred and fourteen games. This is who
they are. Okay, it's not may. This isn't some small
sample size. They are a mediocre baseball team. They may
finish with as many wins as lost, as they may
finish slightly above. They're not good. That they're not, you know.
And the sign of not good teams is they lose
more than they win. So that's what happens with this team.
They lose more than they win. Now, today's a big

(06:11):
game because you know, Hunter Green's challenging Oral Hirscheiser's record
for a most consecutive scoreless innings out give it up
a run, and so that can only continue if he
shuts down the Marlins. But like, I'm gonna start driving
the bus for Hunter Green to be so good that
he's the cy Young Award winner.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Oh okay, oh, which could happen? Yeah, that's not beyond
the realm of possibility.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yeah, I like that. Let's run with that. Let's also
give a lock of the night.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
Hey, degenerates, it's time for Lots of the Night, presented
by Cincy Shirts.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Visit the stores in Hyde.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Park, Lovelin aor on Dixie Highway in Fort Mitchell and
always online at Sincy shirts dot com.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Now let's make you some money.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Uh Mo, what do you make of this USA Serbia matchup?
Because they've already played once and people are saying that
Serbia didn't really make adjustments, they didn't play the joker
a ton of minutes, maybe trying to set the USA
up here. I think this is the gold medal match.
I think whoever wins this wins the gold. It's fifteen
and a half. What do you like today, if anything

(07:12):
from the men's Olympic squad?

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Well, I do agree, you know, having watched that first
game that was the first game of the Olympics for
Team USA the Serbians. The Joker sat out for large
stretches in that game. I tend to think France is.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Going to give the US a pretty good gold medal game. Oh, okay,
Victor Weminiana.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Yeah, I don't know that we have anybody who can
match up with him the way you might typically think
the US is going to match up with the other
country's best player. He's going to be a problem in
the league for a while. I think he's going to
be a problem in the gold medal game. I like
the number, though. I think the US is gonna hammer Serbia.
I think even playing Jokic in more minutes and using

(07:56):
him in ways maybe closer to how you see the
Denver Nuggets using him, this thing top to bottom in
the US has a better roster. I'll lay the fifteen
and a half. We have NFL tilts tonight, tone, Yes,
I've got a pair.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Yes, I mean the Lions. The Lions and Giants have
already been in a couple tilts last week.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Yes, like full, full blown brawls, freakises.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I'm taking.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
I'm taking Carolina.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
I'm getting seven against New England, who nobody wants to
play for, And I'll go Giants first quarter minus half
a point, plus one, twenty four I'll take.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
If I could read my handwriting correctly.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
I'll take the Panthers, I'll take Hunter Green and the Reds.
I gave him the kiss of death yesterday. I'll just
do it again today. I'm with you. I think USA,
Trounce iss Serbia. And how about this, Mo, the Joker
and Lebron to combine for over twenty three rebounds. You
can get it at plus seven to fifty right now,
all right, So if you're looking to make a little
extra money, a little sprinkle on that twenty three rebounds, well,

(08:55):
twenty three and a half rebounds play a plus seven
to fifty for Lebron and the Joker. That's it, Mogar,
thanks for joining us. Enjoy the Moeigor Show today. Thank
you as always, Mo. We have enjoyed being down here
at Bengals training camp this week thanks to our callers
and listeners, are sponsors, talkbackers, everyone that helps make this possible.
And back in studio normal Friday tomorrow, looking ahead to that.

(09:18):
Until then, enjoy the rest of your Thursday. The Moweiger
Show is next on ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati Sports station
