Speaker 1 (00:00):
On ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati's sports station.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's time for Cincy three sixty Quick Hits on ESBN
fifteen thirty.
Speaker 3 (00:09):
All right, we're back. Yes, Moiger is with us.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
It is since he three sixty quick kits, Moeger and
the Moegar Show coming up next, mo what's up?
Speaker 3 (00:17):
What do you got coming up today?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Oh boy, we are loaded and I see that some
days and I don't mean it.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
Today I mean it.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
We are going to go to Kansas City at three
twenty one of my absolute favorite people who do what
we do. One of the best sports talk radio hosts
in the country. There's a handful of shows I listened
to in other parts of the United States and this
is one of them. Carrington Harrison is going to join us.
Coming up at three twenty. We're gonna talk Bengals Chiefs
because it's unfair. You know, for years Kansas City it
(00:48):
was guys streaking down the field and Mahomes had to
find him. And then in recent years it's been well,
they can beat you with the short game with something
called yards after the catch. I don't know if you
guys know what that is, where a pass receiver catches
the ball and then gains extra yardage after he catches
the pass. Now was Xavier Worthy and what they're doing
(01:10):
with Rashid Rice when he's not driving into guardrails?
Speaker 5 (01:13):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:14):
They it's pick your poison. So I want to talk
about this Chiefs team the Bengals play on Sunday. We'll
do that coming up at five point twenty. Lots of
our typical Bengals stuff, Jay Morrison, Robert Weintraub, our fantasy segment,
Dan Klaskins, Chad Brenda and the Bearcats will pick some
games with Lee Stirling and Taylor Twelman's gonna join us. Oh,
it's a rivalry weekend. You got the Battle for the
(01:35):
Victory Bell, or as some call it, the Bell. He
got Bengals Chiefs, which I think is the best organic
rivalry in the NFL. And then hell is real FC
Cincinnati versus Columbus. Taylor will call the match.
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Will join us at five forty five mo.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Wh when you look at the Battle for the Victory Bell,
and I know this is a series that's going away.
Chuck Martin I talked to keg and nickoson today. Chuck
Martin is very clear about He said, this is the
most important game on their schedule. This is the biggest
game coming to Yager Stadium. Do you think you see
can view and match that type of intensity that already
Chuck Martin is talking about that Miami team bringing because
(02:12):
for the last couple of years it has felt bigger
for Miami, and I know that happens when you win
at fifteen or sixteen years in a row. But hearing
what Chuck Martin and Martin is saying, can we count
now on the Cincinnati Bearcats to match that?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
If the answer is no, that's a problem. Correct, You
lost to them last year, you blew a twenty one
point lead at home last week. You're two and ten
since the beginning of last season against FBS opponents. You see,
cannot afford to look down its nose to anybody, anybody.
And so look, we've talked about the status of this
(02:46):
rivalry now for a while and it has significantly diminished
in stature. But as a Bearcat fan, are you kidding me?
If you're a Bearcat player, like, forget the rivalry.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
How about let's beat.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Somebody who's not an FCS opponent Like you lost to
them last year. The rivalry is going away. You have
a chance you win these next too, you might have
a winning record in the series forever. If intensity is
a problem on Saturday, then the already existing issues that
a lot of people believe are sort of embedded into
(03:20):
this program are even worse. If this isn't a big
deal on Saturday, I don't know what is. Who should
UC be looking down its nose at right now? Sure
certainly not a team that beat him last year.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Do you feel and we alluded to this yesterday, do
you feel I know it's hard because we talked about
a must win game.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Is it more than just winning this game?
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Is it winning I know, yes, to get the bell back,
but winning and making a little bit of a statement
in this game that no, this is not going down
the path that they went down last year.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Sure yeah, I mean, look, the reality is against Pittsburgh
and I think you would agree. For two and a
half quarters, they played very well, play flawless, played very
very well. I'd like for this team, you know, statements
sometimes can be overrated. I'd like for this team to
make a statement that what you saw against Pittsburgh and
what had you feel like, what had you feeling like?
You know what this team can be okay in the
(04:14):
Big twelve. That was real. To me, what Saturday is about,
aside from getting the bell and avenging last year's loss
and simply winning the football game, is tell me what's real?
Speaker 4 (04:24):
Is what's real?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
The two and a half quarter performance that on Saturday
made a lot of us feel like, you know what,
this team might be okay, or the twenty minutes at
the end of the game against Pittsburgh that made you
feel like, all right, they're screwed. Time to move on.
Seasons over, like what's real? And I think that's what
this is about. Because the team that I saw play
(04:45):
two and a half quarters against Pittsburgh has a chance
to win some games in the Big twelve. The team
that I watched over the final twenty minutes might not
win a game in the Big twelve. So give me
something on Saturday that makes me feel like, you know what,
those last twe minutes against pitt We're an aberration. It
was a series of really unfortunate events, some shaky coaching,
(05:07):
some poor decision making, lack of execution, But that's not
who they are. Who they are is the team that
you watched for the first part of that game that
made you believe this team can make a run of
the Big Twelve. Give me a reason to think this
team can make a run in the Big Twelve. Not
to win the Big Twelve championship, but to get to
at the end of the season seven wins. Do that
on Saturday, on top of winning the Bell.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Plenty more coming up with that on the Moeger Show
this afternoon. Before we get to that show, Locks of
the Night.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Hey Degenerates, It's time for Lots of the Night Sincy's shirts.
Visit the stores in Hyde Park, Lovelin, or on Dixie
Highway in Fort Mitchell and always online at sincyshirts dot com.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
Now let's make you some money, all right, mo? Yeah,
I have a question, Yes, sick, I have.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
In all honesty, I have been like all over the
place today, so I haven't had a chance to listen
as much as I would like. Did you guys get
this email from Rodo Grinders?
Speaker 3 (06:02):
What did you just say to me?
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Surveying over three thousand NFL fans to see what they
would sacrifice for Super Bowl glory. In the case of
Bengals fans, thirty percent would give up a date with
a celebrity crush to see their franchise claim their first
ever Super Bowl. Oh, so here's the list. What would
Bengals fans give up for the Super Bowl? An all
(06:25):
expenses paid trip to Vegas? Yes, sure, A date with
your celebrity crush.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Sure.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
I don't know, man, I got a lot of them.
I mean the date doesn't necessarily mean you have a chance. Right, yeah, yeah,
let's what what happens on the date? Rights?
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Is it a legitimate date?
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Is it a legitimate date with an open ended outcome?
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Right? Like, well, we don't know, great question.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Maybe we're shanning. Maybe we're shanning sharp by.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
The oh whoa whoa?
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Thirty percent say yes, twenty seven percent say the last
ever concert of your favorite artist. Twenty five percent say
a winning bet of two thousand dollarsteen percent say a
family wedding. Six percent say an annual bonus. I don't
know what that is. Would say your honeymoon. Five percent
would say your own wedding.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Haven't had that?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Five percent would say the funeral of a close family member.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Three percent say your marriage, three percent say your child
being born.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Two percent say your retirement savings. How many of those
things you've given up?
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Man? The vast majority of them after the honeymoon. Ye,
me too, Me too for a super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Mo?
Speaker 1 (07:37):
Is it as simple tonight as Josh Allen has never
lost on Thursday Night football and he's an underdog in Miami.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
I like Josh Allen and the Bills tonight six.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
And oh Josh Allen getting points.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
I'm getting I'm getting two and a half points. They've
won ten of eleven against Miami. Josh Allen looked fine
without Stefan Diggs and gave Davis last week. And I
think Look and Hill were awesome last week. I don't
think they have a running game to speak of, especially
against Buffalo with the points.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Give me the road team and give me Dalton Kincaid
anytime touchdown score for the Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
I disagree with you, guys.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
I like the Dolphins tonight. I feel even better.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Mo Skyline bet Skyline Bett. Yeah, Austin has our gift
cards from a year ago.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Oh man, great, we're done.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Uh the I might forgive, but I don't forget, man.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Thanks Moe. See Yeah, all right, that's Moagar.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Thanks to our callers, listeners, talkbackers, sponsors, and guest. We'll
do this again tomorrow for the Friday football frenzy. Until then,
have a great rest of your Thursday. Moagar is next
on The Mulager Show right here on ESPN fifteen thirty
Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Have a great rest of your Thursday.
