Amarius Mims has been discussed as a risky prospect since before the draft, and some have named him one of the big "bust" potential first round picks. After getting to know Mims a bit, taking a deeper dive into his profile as a prospect, and talking to College Scouting Director Mike Potts, the guys break how that risk has been characterized. Plus, we parse the list of college free agent signings and their chances to stick on the roster or practice squad. Join the Locked On Bengals Insider Community! https://joinsubtext.com/lockedonbengalsFind and follow Locked On Bengals on your favorite podcast platforms:Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/locked-on-bengals-daily-podcast-on-the-cincinnati-bengals/id1159723162Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7AObc0lh0WmQl5fJVgtajsGoogle Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vbG9ja2Vkb25iZW5nYWxz?sa=X&ved=0CAYQrrcFahcKEwio_sXtj8nuAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAgStitcher: https://www.stitcher.com/show/locked-on-bengals

App Store or on Google Play.James a lot have written about Amarus Mims,

(01:07):
even going back to before the draftobviously and his limited experience of Georgia
as a boomer bust type player. But now that he's with the Cincinnati Bengals
and we're giving him our undivided attention, now that we know that he's a
player we're going to be covering forat least four, probably at least five
years with the Bengals. We talkedabout this with Mike Potts. Is he

(01:30):
really this boomer bust player? Whereis that floor? Is the inexperience really
an issue that gives him that bustpotential as some seem to think it does.
Yeah, I think a couple ofthings. One, every player has
super high risk when it comes tohealth. And the good news with Mims
is we're talking about an ankle andan ankle that he reaggravated. And it's

(01:53):
not like he didn't practice at Georgiafor back to back seasons. It's not
like he missed a bunch of timein practice and was leaving practice all of
those things. He did all ofthat. So I don't really think health
is a big factor, even thoughyou look at the eight starts and you
think that's why. And then theother element here when you're talking about a
six eight, three hundred and fortypound just freak athletes. Just does he

(02:15):
have the attitude, the right attitude, the right mindset to go be great?
And who knows, maybe he doesn'tend up being great, but if
he has that mindset, given hisphysical gifts, assuming he can stay relatively
healthy, I think we quickly gofrom oh my god, his floor is
really low to at least in themid range. And we've talked about this,

(02:36):
and that's why you mentioned it.We asked Mike Potts about that because
and if you missed it, makesure you check it out. The director
of Bengals college scouting obviously a big, huge factor in all ten of their
draft picks. So this is partof our conversation with Mike Potts. I
asked him about Amarus Mims, thehigh ceiling and does he have a low
floor. Yeah, I don't necessarilyagree that he has a low floor.

(03:00):
Honestly when when watching his tape, because his tape's really really good. There
there's honestly not a whole lot thatyou can nitpick or poke holes in about
his tape. And yeah, heonly started eight games, but he played
a lot more snaps than your averageguy that only only started eight games.
He was in a rotation with somehigh end you know, draft picks there

(03:21):
that that came out last year inprevious years on the offensive line in Georgia.
So he does have high quality tape. Obviously, you would like to
see it, you know, andmore volume, uh you know, when
when you're just have more overall tapeto evaluate on him. But it's not.
It's not a guy that's really inconsistent, and you just see the flashes
and the highs and the lows onhis tape. I think he's pretty even

(03:44):
in his high level of production whenyou watch his tape, So I don't
necessarily think that he's a low floor, high ceiling prospect. We kind of
view him as a high floor highceiling prospect. Big emphasis there on the
tape and the consistency on tape witha Marius Mims from Mike Potts and like
James said, full conversation including liketen minutes or so on A Mariusmims is

(04:09):
our most recent episode before this one, if you missed it. But that
is a consistent point of emphasis fromeveryone who's watched a Mariusmims College shape,
myself included. They're in past protectionin particular and we talked with pots about
this is a consistent, in myopinion, refined player for a guy that

(04:30):
only played less than nine hundred snapsin college. And that's where all of
the risk, not all of therisk, most of the perceived risk I
think comes from. You go backto the bomb the Gag quotes with the
anonymous scouts pre draft, and onescout told him again that Mims may be
the biggest bust in the class becausehe's only started how many games? That
ain't very many, said the scout. That scares the f out of me,

(04:53):
And so there are some scouts thatare worried about that inexperience. There
are scouts I'm sure that that lookit is run blocking and Mike Santagata has
a piece on this over on yourSI Bengals coverage page as well. James
talking about the run game growth requiredfor a Marius Mens and in certain stuff,

(05:14):
but as a pass protector, whichis generally the opposite of what you
would expect, a Marius Mens isa pretty refined player, and that's what
Potts is talking about. I thinkthe tape and pass from particular is consistent,
and so do you buy the motivationstuff that Nick Saban's talking about that
the football, toughness, willingness tostay on the field. I don't know.
You've talked to him, James. You have an idea of who the

(05:36):
person is. You've got a firstimpression after having that one on one conversation.
What do you think. I thinkhe's ready to work. I think
he feels like this is an ideallanding spot. And that's part of why
I've changed my team because I calledhim a risk before the draft, but
you hit on it here. Froma pass blocking standpoint, he's he's there,

(06:00):
he's good enough now to play. And what are the Bengals? You
just got to admit what you arewhen that's what you are. They're a
past first team. I think it'sa perfect landing spot. If he landed
in an offense that wanted to runthe ball half the time or more than
half the time, and it wasjust a much different, not drop back
style offense, well then yeah,Like if he's in Tampa where you got

(06:26):
to run it fifty three times becauseit's Baker as your quarterback or Deshaun Watson,
Oh I'm gonna get and you gotto run it because he's not the
guy he was eight years ago,but then yeah, it changes, or's
five years ago, whatever it is, I think it changes it. But
you have a arguably the best certainlyan empty is the best quarterback in the

(06:46):
NFL and Joe Burrow, and soyou want guys that can allow you to
go empty at times and you feelcomfortable putting him on an island and all
of those things against these elite edgerushers in the AFC North especially, and
that's where I think a lot ofthe frustration for fans. You got to
win when in the AFC North yougotta play like no, hell no,
you don't. You got to getguys that can win on an island,

(07:09):
and I think he can do that. And so, like floor wise,
it feels like his floor long termis Trent Brown his floor. And that's
a hell of a floor to me. And that's not me knocking Trent Brown
because I'm excited to see him playright tackle this year just because of the
physical gifts that he has, assumingthat the Nick Saban motivation questions arebs And

(07:30):
it does feel that way. Now, if I'm a Marius Mims and I
know I'm going to be a firstround pick, am I has it tant
to get back out there with thatankle injury. Sure, but guess what,
he got back out there after sixweeks after undergoing surgery. It's not
like he sat out the rest ofthe season and reaggravated it because he came
back a little soon. I think. I think that's in the initial cause

(07:54):
of that injury was he got landedon awkwardly from behind. It's not like
it was something that was he somethinghe could control. It was just kind
of a freak thing. So no, I think his floor is a bit
higher when you take into consideration theoffense will be in where he's playing this
destination where he doesn't have to goout there right away, may end up
playing by week four who knows, but doesn't have to go out there right

(08:18):
away until he's ready. I thinkit makes a ton of sense and fits
really well. And you talk aboutthe AFC North fit and the things you
have to do to win in theAFC North, one of the things you
have to do in the AFC Northto win football games is block DJ Watt,
block Miles Garrett. Block these freakyed rushers that exist in the AFC
North who will challenge I'm sure aMarius Mens the first time they see them.

(08:39):
The Cleveland Browns are gonna bock MilesGarrett over to that side of the
field, even though he plays alot of right defensive end in their defense.
They're gonna bring him over the righttackle. When a Marius Men's is
making his first start, they're goingto test the kid. They're gonna see
how it goes. And Mens hasthe physical traits to be up to the
challenge. But not very many peoplecan block those freaks in the AFC North.
There just happened to be a lotof really good edge rushers in the

(09:01):
AFC North. He also has asize in the strength and the athleticism when
he puts it together. If heputs it together, I should say,
to be a really good run blocker. It's not like that's a physical limitation.
It's just he needs to catch up. I think on the mental aspect
of the game, get more experience, get used to playing with the guys
he's going to be playing with, and get used to the scheme that he's

(09:22):
going to be a part of fora long time, most likely in Cincinnati.
So from that perspective, I thinkyou have to discuss it as a
fit as well. Is there arisk? Of course there's risk. Is
there more risk than other prospects inthe NFL draft? Maybe marginally because of
the inexperience, because there are somequestions about his ability to stay on the
field long term because he's never hadthe opportunity between stacked play a stacked offensive

(09:43):
tackle depth chart in Georgia to theankle injury. But it's possible that the
risk is a little bit overblown andwe need to be scaling that discussion back
a little bit and then instead focuson the player, and we'll be able
to do that starting in rookie minicamp coming up later this a week.
We also have some undrafted free agentsto talk about James. We'll get through

(10:05):
that list and whether any of themhave a chance to make the team coming
up next. This episode of LockdownBengals is sponsored by FanDuel. It's playoff

it has to be perfect, ithas to be Shultz Jewelers. Let's talk

(12:20):
undrafted free agents. James. We'vebeen waiting for this list to kind of
crystallize, and these signings are notofficial. They probably will be before rookie
Mini camp later this week Thursday Friday. Hard to say what day exactly these
guys will put pen to paper,or even which of these guys might be
camp tryouts. We're not exactly sure. I don't think about those yet.

(12:43):
A lot of times there are guysthat are reported as signings and then they
later turn out to be tryouts. But I want to talk about these in
terms of their ability to make theroster or even practice squad in some cases
where the Bengals are pretty deep, and let's start with quarterback. Start with
a position that that's very clear asto whether or not they're going to make
the roster. Rocky Lombardi, oneof the greatest quarterback names you could imagine,

(13:09):
is the Bengals college free agent signingat quarterback. Played his football at
Northern Illinois. He joins Logan Woodsideas the practice squad candidates on the Bengals
roster behind Joe Burrow and Jake Browning. No real stop to make the roster
here, but man, when you'relooking for a practice squad quarterback, is
he on the roster right now?I'm not so sure that the Bengals have

(13:33):
their practice squad quarterback for the yearyet. But maybe it is just going
to be Logan Woodside, a guywho has spent time in Cincinnati before.
Maybe, or maybe it's going tobe Rocky Lombardi, who, man looking
at this, has got a littleathleticism to him. Runs a four to
seven. All right, all right, runs a four to seven according to
the Beast. And yeah, younever never say never. Now he's older.

(13:56):
He's older. Now he's Jake JakeLiskoz. He's pushing twenty six years
old, so he might be LoganWoodsides age. How old is Logan wood
Side. He was in the marketras so he's got to be thirty.
He's got to be thirty, right, Yeah, he's been around for a
while now, twenty nine, sothere's like a three and a half year
gap. It's just funny with this, with the COVID stuff. But no,

(14:18):
to your point, these two willbattle. They will have a quarterback
on the practice squad, and maybeit isn't one of these guys. Maybe
it is. I thought the LoganWoodside signing was weird. Not gonna lie
to you threw me off. Wasn'tready for it, and they did it.
It was buried with the extension forwhat's his name? Why am I
forgetting him? I don't even rememberwhen it was announced exactly. I don't

(14:41):
think we covered Logan Woodside's return,so I'm not sure who it was because
I don't remember what we didn't.Yeah, the bank, are you serious?
Joe Burrow and Jake Browning? Iforgot his name for a second.
Your contagious on their name. Youdon't know when they buried it with that,
that's when they signed it. Sohe's battling for a practice squad spot.

(15:01):
We'll see if he's if he's goingto push for that. But not
shocked that the Bengals added a quarterbackas an undrafted free agent. We knew
they probably weren't drafting one, thoughwhen they signed Logan Woodside. I think
that kind of directed them down thatpath. I think they could have still
drafted one, but they didn't,and that's okay. He'll have a chance,

(15:24):
not after Browning signed a two yeardeal, because if you drafted one,
Browning's under contract for next year too, so he's your backup for the
next two years. So I don'tthink that they were going to draft one
at that point, not necessarily becauseof Woodside, but because of Brown.
Yeah. I mean every now andthen you see teams take those Day three
swings a quarterback. But I guessin that sense, you're correct that it's

(15:45):
not a huge surprise. He'll havea chance to make the practice squad.
I think it will be challenging.I'm not sure the practice squad quarterback is
on the roster right now. LikeI said, these are very different styles
of quarterback than Jake Brownning and JoeBurrow. I think that's interesting and they
will round out the Bengals quarterback roomfor the foreseeable future. Let's talk running

(16:07):
backs. This is a spot wherewe thought they would use a draft pick
James. We thought they maybe couldgo a little bit more high profile with
some of the undrafted free agents outthere. I in particular was watching the
Georgia running back Kendall Milton to seewhere he would land. He does not
land with the Bengals. I thinkhe ends up in Philly. They instead
sign Noah Kane and Elijah Collins.Kane five eleven, two twenty listed from

(16:30):
LSU, a five year player transferredfrom Penn State. To LSU in twenty
twenty two and Elijah Collins listed sixfoot to twenty Michigan State for five years
in Oklahoma State most recently. Neitherof these guys played a lot in their
most recent year. Both of themare a little bit bigger, and out

(16:51):
of all the positions on the roster, this is one where if they wanted
to keep a fourth running back andone of these guys really impressed them,
you could see one of them stickingfor sure. This is a prime spot
when you paint the picture for anundrafted free agent to come in, impress
throughout rookie camp, throughout the offseasonprogram, into training camp, and then

(17:11):
if you have a good preseason, you might look up and be on the
roster. This is the one area. Obviously, Punnter and we've mentioned him,
he's the one that we have mentioned. But outside of that, running
back is the most likely and I'mnot saying it's likely, but it's never
likely when you're an undrafted free agent, and so Canaan Collins they have a
shot, and I agree with you. Dylan Johnson was another one, another

(17:33):
undrafted someone I thought the Bengals wouldconsider round six, round seven because of
his production, his size, allof those things well hit the undrafted market,
and in that that's another guy whereit's like, man, that would
have been nice to have because becauseit's easy to see the path for a
player like that who did produce atthat level make the team in that running

(17:55):
back room. Yeah, and sowe'll see if either of those guys are
impressed of players they along with ChrisEvans vying for a potential third running back
spot. You could probably throw TravionBillions into that mix, but it seems
like there's a little bit more trustthere with Travion Billiams. We'll talk more
about these roster battles. Of course, as training camp approaches at tight end,

(18:15):
they draft two guys and sign acollege free agent. Anyway, Cam
Grandy Illinois State, I think probablythe hardest path to the roster. What
of the hardest paths to the rosterhere unless there are a litany of injuries,
but he is currently sixth on thetight end depth chart behind the drafted

(18:36):
rookies. I think an uphill battlethere, Yeah, but has to be
a practice squader, which if you'reCam Grandy, that's probably it because of
the depth tight end wise, you'relike, all right, well, who
am I battling for a practice squadspot? The rest of the NFL?
Of course, but you want toshow the Bengals that you deserve to stick.

(18:56):
And so if I'm him, I'mfeeling pretty good about it because the
other five are probably making the team, so you might you might be able
to sneak you away on to thepractice squad. And at I think six
' five two sixty if I'm seeingthis right. I'm trying to check on
NFL dot com. Sixty four twofifty five are the official measurements. He
has sixty three catches for six hundredand seventeen yards for Illinois State in his

(19:19):
most recent college year. Again,I think a little bit of an older
prospect, but a path of thepractice squad for sure, I think no
question there. And James, wehave quite a few more college free agents
to talk about. We're gonna haveto speed up a little bit here.
We'll finish the show with some moreof these college free agents and their paths
forward coming up next. Today's showis brought to you by Monopoly Go.

(19:45):
We got to pause and tell youmore about Monopoly Go. I know what
you're saying slag on the play. You talked about that at the start of
the show, But there's so manygood things in this game that we have
to tell you about. Monopoly Goo. You can team up with friends for
time tournaments where you work together tobuild up each other's boards. The more
you win together, the more awesomeprizes you unlock. And there's so much
to get, from unique stickers thatyou can trade with friends to complete albums

(20:08):
for big prizes, cool new pieces, to travel boards with hilarious emojis for
tunting friends when you smash their buildingsor heist their vaults. And Monopoly Go
feels new and exciting every day. With constantly changing tournaments and challenges, There's
always something new, whether it's timeto events that help you win big massive
multipliers for everything that you win,or rent frenzies. There's always something fun

(20:30):
to discover in Monopoly Go. Soget off the bench and go download it
for free in Google Play or theapp Store today. Game on with Monopoly
Go. More college free agents,James. Let's keep going with Eric Miller
most recently A Louisville also played fouryears or per Due, a very experienced
offensive tackle with questionable grading maybe alittle bit light at three h five listed

(20:56):
at six seven, probably about sixsix, around three hundred pound. There's
a practice squad chance here. He'ssix seven and a half. You got
to get your beast out man,six seven and a half three eleven.
Yeah, that's great. I'm lookingat another resource to find experience and where
they've played because a lot of theseguys are transfers and older. But I'll

(21:17):
let you do the measurements. That'sgreat. Good to know you've got the
beast available. The search function isbeautiful. Oh yeah, it's perfect college
free agent offensive tackle. Almost certainlydestined for the practice squad. He'll be
competing with the Devin Cochranes of theworld for practice squad spots. But it's
not like they have a ton oftackle depth competing for practice squad spots on

(21:41):
this roster right now. So apretty good chance for him to land there
if he shows up and works hardand does things the way they want him
to do things in camp. Yep, no doubt about it, and has
the height. Certainly fits the Cincinnatiskyline nickname you're looking for. That could
add a few more pounds, I'msure. Frank Pollack is already thinking about
that in this Bengals coaching staff, even though the sounding isn't official, But

(22:04):
no, it's the measurables. Youcould certainly say that. And you look
the arm length not super long oranything, and that's probably why he's in
that undrafted range. But still thirtythree and five eighths is solid for an
offensive tackle. So you get tothree, twenty three, twenty five,
and you know, you feel prettygood about Eric's chances of being a practice

(22:26):
squad And I'm not saying he'll getto that between now and camp, but
he might have a few you cheesecony a few three ways, it's easy
to get there. The practice squadfor the offensive line right now is like
if you had to project it,Nate Gilliam into your offensive line. Jackson
Kirkland could stick around again, DevinConchran could stick around again, and Eric
Miller and outside of that, they'reformer draft picks that are maybe Trey Hill

(22:51):
would go to the practice squad, maybe maybe Deontae Smith, but hard to
see many of those former draft pickslanding on the practice squad. They might
end up just being released. Someof them might get claimed by Reclamation Project
kind of waiver claims, but someinteresting battles there in the offensive line room
that we'll be watching in camp, and a wide receiver. One of the
more interesting college free agents is onemore challenging paths to the roster where there

(23:15):
are five guys behind the six thatyou would assume are ahead and leading the
pack for roster spots. Cole Burgessfrom Sunny Cortland and Trey Moseley the Bengals
undrafted for free agents and wide receiver. Yeah, two guys that You're right,
it's a tough, tough shot.Cole Burgess is interesting, you just

(23:37):
measurable as why certainly looks at looksthe part Sunny Cortland. So you're talking
really really small school. But man, I've seen some clips. Have you
seen clips of him on social Isaw a few clips of him and I'm
like, oh, caught my eyea little bit, So got to do
a little more homework. But that'sthe one that I certainly have my eye
on because he's so under the radar. Give him where he went and and

(24:02):
great athletic testing, same school,by the way, his dam pitcher.
Maybe a little bit of Sunny Courtlandconnection there, giving him a chance.
I mean four four five, that'sthat's uh Jermaine Burton just to give you
an idea six foot tall one havethe ras because no, I just have
his forty forty. It was avery high number. I've got it here.

(24:23):
It's loading. It was a nineand a lot of that is because
he was a little bit undersized. But the forty was good. The jumps
were ninety nine percentile jumps with anearly forty two inch foot and eleven eleven
plus foot broad So some explosion incole Burgess. Just under six foot at

(24:45):
one ninety two and twenty one repson the bench press at one ninety two
six foot. That's that's pretty impressiveas well. That is that is good.
Yeah, he's listed at six footin the beast. Okay, so
just just a hair under with whatevermeasurables uh key has for for either way,
Maybe he grew between his you know, pro day whatever. You never

(25:08):
know. At early twenty year olds, they're out there growing, you know,
mid twenties, twenty year olds,Oh watch out, I'm gonna catch
a Marius Mensen height soon. Yeah, growth spurt early thirties. You didn't
know. Maybe you'll need a stepstool instead of whatever you were standing out.

(25:30):
That's what it was. It wasa stool, well you know,
the little step stool instead of thefull full stool. You know. Yeah,
because I had to like bend downa little bit. But yeah,
a lot of people probably won't myone on one with the Marius Mims I
tweeted it out anyways, go ahead, Yeah, good context there. So
Cole Burgess I think the more interestingto me of the wide receivers trade mostly

(25:52):
did play at a D one school, finishing at Michigan State. Playing playing
five years of Michigan State, hehad four teen hundred career receiving yards ten
career touchdowns in the Big Ten,so probably should be getting a little bit
more attention to is a guy whoplayed at a big school. But a
bigger school certainly, but the athletictraits for Cole Burgess are interesting. On

(26:15):
the defensive side of the ball,James Justin Blazek on the defensive edge from
Wisconsin Platteville, another high end athletethat went under the radar to small school.
Another Wisconsin player on the defense, not Wisconsin Plattville, but Wisconsin Badgers
Muma Jung meta linebacker a bigger bodylinebacker, a guy that could be a

(26:38):
type of linebacker they don't really haveon the team, and I actually think
there's a decent chance for him thereif he shows up and is really impressive
in a goal line package, forexample, because he would be the bigger
body downhill thumper. And the Bengalsa little bit undersized with their first four
guys at linebacker between Pratt Wilson,Davis Gaither, and Joe Bachi, so

(27:00):
I think there is a chance thereAaron Casey, the other undrafted free agent
linebacker. Any thoughts on these guysin the front seven before we get to
the DB's no, keep going.I do think that they have a shot,
though there's an opening because they didn'tdraft any so there's a shot.
And Justin Blazic, I think avery clear path of the practice squad a
guy that could develop, and Ithink from whatever calin correct me if I'm

(27:21):
wrong here did have a pretty impressiveathletic profile for a smaller school guy.
And it's always interesting when you havethat kind of athletic trait profile with an
undrafted free agent. In the defensivebackfield, a bunch of guys that have
mixed experience between safety, between slotcorner, between playing in the box and

(27:42):
PJ. Jewels and Michael Dowell Dowellfrom the University or Miami University up the
road from Cincinnati and PJ. JewelsSouthern Illinois. Both guys have that Dax
Hill versatility and that Dijon Anthony versatility. Where they've played corner, they've played
in the slot, they've played somesafety. Interesting that the Bengals continue to

(28:02):
add that type of player even ascollege free agents. Look at you,
you're saying Jules has a chance tobeat out Dax Hill. Don't do that.
Don't do that now, I hearit. Oh, they got the
same style. No, I'm justkidding. All right, I'm just kidding.
It is. It is interesting,And what I think it is is
it's pretty simple. Let's take asmany stabs at finding the next Nickel future

(28:25):
Nickel as we can. You know, whether it's de John Anthony, whether
it's one of these guys. Maybeit is Dax Hill. I think in
a perfect world, the Bengals arelike, oh, Dax Hill can play
outside, and Dax is going tobe an outside corner. I think in
their head that's the hope at least, and who knows. If let's say
he has a good camp and theyfeel good about him at outside corner,

(28:47):
do they extend Mike Kilton for ayear. Would Mike Kilton want to do
that? I don't know, butI just throw that out there as well.
Yeah, I'm not sure if I'mmissing anyone besides Lance Robinson here the
two lane corner, the outside cornerthat they signed as a college free agent
have four picks and five pass breakups. Most recently. He was a six

(29:08):
year player starting his career at KansasState, finishing his career at Twulane.
An interesting outside corner prospect and aguy that, honestly, when they found
dj Ivy late last year, gaveme some confidence in their ability to find
intriguing outside corner prospects late and asundrafted free agents. And so because of
that, and primarily because of that, interested in seeing him at camp as

(29:32):
well, no doubt, no doubtabout it. I thought that they last
year they nailed it in round seven. Can they do it again? We'll
see. I will say this.We haven't mentioned Austin McNamara obviously, we
talked about him on an earlier pod, but he does have the best odds
just for those one. I'm surepeople are like, oh my goodness,
best odds of any of these guysof winning the starting job because it's him

(29:53):
versus Brad Robbins. I think we'llon a later show discuss that battle a
little bit of preview it because it'sas weird as it is. I know
it's punter as weird as it is. Though. That's a really big topic
I think, and one will behaving to cover because there will be interest
there throughout the offseason and certainly intraining camp. We're at the point where
there's punter thirst with Cincinnati Bengals fans. They're they're zick of seeing forty yard

(30:17):
punts and they would like, ithink, to have a good puncher and
Austin McNamara, according to the puntruns the Punt analytics guys on Twitter,
would have been the number one punterin last year's class was the number two
punter for them this year. Theysaid the top four punters of the class
this year would have been the toppunter last year, and so that means

(30:37):
they'd like the top four punters thisyear, including McNamara, more than they
like Brad Robbins. Coming out ofschool. I think there's a real chance
there that will be an interesting battle. But you're right, maybe should have
started there as the most likely tomake the team is Austin McNamara. Well,
I think that's a whole statement. We wanted that there were some shine
out all these other guys that haven'tgotten a lot of attention. We'll get
to McNamara, we pro we willtalk McNamara in the future and break that

(31:03):
battle down. There's two shows nowfor McNamara where he's been kind of the
last thing we talked about. Foreveryone who gets through the entire episode,
you've heard us talk about McNamara twice. For everyone who doesn't always make it
to this part of the show,we'll talk about it in greater depth on
a future show. Until then, that's going to do it for this episode
of the Lockdown Bengals podcast. Thanksfor listening, Who day, and have

(31:26):
a good one.
