Speaker 1 (00:00):
Porthos Cincy Moegor Show on ESPN fifteen thirty. I'm glad
that you're here. I'm glad that Dan Klaskins is here.
He has dispensed fantasy football help all year long. Unfortunately
his help has not helped me because I have been
eliminated from the postseason in one league and I didn't
come close to making it in the other. But for

(00:21):
those of you who are still alive, Dan can provide
some help and maybe help us teach some lessons based
on the twenty twenty four fantasy season.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Hi, Dan, what's up? Sorry to hear about that demise.
Feeling you a little bit. I had a few of
those disappointing defeats last week, But luckily I play in
enough leagues where I'm still alive in a few.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Wow, very good. See you play it enough, eventually you're
going to stumble into the postseason. Good stuff. What are
some of the chance You've got a chance? Just like
the Bengals, You've got a chance? All right? Give me
a handful of lessons that fantasy owners should have learned
this year.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Yeah, that's all. It's a good time to reflect, and certainly,
even if you do it long enough, you still have
things to reflect on. We're always learning MOW and this
year a few that stick out number one, especially this year,
man embrace the unexpected. You think you plan appropriately, you
think it's all going to go right, and nothing throws
you for more curve balls. In the NFL, it's injuries

(01:19):
all the craziness. Never a better example of this. This
year you had Christian mccaffe. You drafted his handcuffed Jordan Mason, Well,
guess what it was, Isaac Carnda that came up big
and now he's hurts unless he had his handcuff. The
San Francisco backfield didn't work out for you, and going
to injuries, MO. That's another thing drafting injured players. It
seldom works out. Every year we see guys take chances

(01:40):
on these guys that are hurt. This year with TJ.
Hockinson that missed them half the season, Jonathan Brooks, the
rookie that never got over. Rookies are risky too. That's
the other thing. I mean, you get all in love
with the potential of these unknown players, but far too
often I see it in reed draft leagues especially. I
get it in dynasty leagues, keeper league, but in leagues

(02:01):
that re draft players every year, they draft rookies, they're
not patient up, they drop them. Then somebody else picks
up the rookies and beats the people that draft them
to begin with. So just a few lessons to keep
in mind.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
All right, Let's take a look at the lengthy list
of injuries heading into Week sixteen.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, I think the big one in Tannessee. One of
the bigger ones this week, obviously, is going to be
Patrick Mahomes. Each day that goes by, optimism is growing
that he'll play. Now, this is a Saturday game, so
we will have clarity on it. If nothing else, it's
the first of two Saturday games. First, the Texans, I
expect him to go at this point. He's been a
fringe quarterback the whole time. I don't love him in

(02:39):
this matchup. First Uston, really, I expect them lean on
Pacheco in the running game and what I anticipate to
be a low scoring game. Gino Smith also trending in
a good direction with the knee issue, but still we'll
have to see how that plays out. Tommy DeVito the Giants.
I mean, who knows what quarterback I thinks Drew lock
Back last week they had to go with Tim Boyle.
I mean it might be Molegger off the bench week eighteen.

(03:00):
Who knows the buzz hill for me, moo and for
a lot of local fans. David Montgomery season any knee injury,
he's lost now, So Jamier Gibbs is just gonna have
a huge workload. Look for them to lean on Jerreed
gofflot that we got Alvin Kamara reports today are he's done.
It might be done for the season now, why not?
The Saints have lost every other player they have nothing
to play for. Kendrick Miller gets interesting in his absence.

(03:22):
Caf Walker the third hasn't played in two weeks. We'll
see if he can come back from his calf. The
season's over for Nick Chubb broken foot. Add that to
the list of injuries. I mean, just not to what
we were hoping in his return. Isaac Correndo, I mentioned
him before. He's now per Adam Schefter unlikely to play
here in Week sixteen of the new hamstring injury there
George Pickens, that's the guy I was really hoping to

(03:45):
see comeback. Obviously, the Steelers and the Ravens in a
huge battle on Saturday in the later game, but right
now it's not looking go with the hamstrings, Dalen Waddle
with the leg, zavierly Get with the groin, Cedric Tillman
with concussion, all other wideouts with some things. They're good
news on film. I do expect him back, but not
expecting much as the Browns make a change of quarterback
and at tight end. David and Jokob did not practice

(04:07):
again today. Didn't play last week. I don't think he's
playing on Sunday versus the Bengals at zach Ertz. He's
still in concussion protocol. So yeah, just about every position
hit pretty hard here in Week sixteen.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, long list, Dan Klaskins, good Sports Info dot com
Ie my weekly Studs, duds and sleepers. Even though I'm
not playing this week.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yeah, Well, hopefully some listener have some of these guys
in there line up, especially in my studs and going
with James Connor. Absolutely love it. Arizona at Carolina. Connor
has been very underrated again this year. A top ten
running back over the last five He's going against Carolina defense,
giving up over five yards of carry, getting mashed on
the ground. He's a top five play for me. This week,

(04:47):
and you know we all rode off the Jets Aaron Rodgers.
Davonte Adams is not going to Super Bowl, but they
might win some fantasy league championships the way they're playing.
I love Devonte Adams even this week versus the Rams.
He's inside my top five as well at receiver. On
the dud side, I'm sitting CJ. Stroud. You should have
already been doing that. By the way, I doubt any
of his owners are in the playoffs mode. But I

(05:08):
don't like the Texans offense, including Joe Mixon very much
at Kansas City and what I expect to be a
low scoring affair. The Amari Cooper trade hasn't really worked
out either. Bill did not get their wide receiver one
that the fantasy managers were hoping for. He can't be
played versus New England expectedly. You know, Buffalo is now
more than a two touchdown favorite. How much are they
going to be throwing the football? The guy hasn't been
getting targets to begin with. And then the sleepers of

(05:30):
the week, the two guys that I think will be
definitely in some winning fantasy lineups this week. Adam Feeling
Carolina versus Arizona. We talked about the other side during
the you know, the buys and everything last week a
lot of and they've played disappointing against Dallas. It sort
of fell off, but I love him in this Arizona matchup.
I think it's going over and Brenton Strange the waiver

(05:52):
wire pickup of the week at tight end. Evan Ingram's
out for the season. Jacksonville has literally nothing outside of
Brian Thomas Junior. He saw twelve targets a week ago,
and this week he gets a Las Vegas team that
without Mason Crosby. Even when they had him, they gave
up the fourth most fantasy points two tight ends. I
think Brendon Strange is the top ten tight end and
probably out there on some waiver wires this morning.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
All right, Dan Klaskins, get Sportsinfo dot com. By the way,
next week's Championship week for fantasy owners. I am working
next Thursday, so you and I have to do a segment.
Keep out in mind, don't right, very good.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
To be here. We're here. We're Here's close it out
with the hopefully talking little super Bowls. And I got
a few awards to hand out next week. Maybe even
one for you. I come up with something very good.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
All right, what's happening right now at get sportsinfo dot com.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Oh, you got all the great content there, my picks
for tonight and cooking, my bet of the week on
the office, pool picks, the podcasts, and of course no
especially this time here. If you're really in a tough bind,
hit me up on exit, Dan Klaskins. I'll try to answer,
but maybe not with the right answer.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I understand. Uh, We'll have a great Christmas.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
We'll talk next week. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas. Talk to you,
Saim brother, you got a.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Dan Klaskins, Get sportsinfo dot com. Yes, we have a show,
just from a programming perspective, because you know, Christmas things
get a little bit yanky. We do have a Tony
Remo football show on Monday at Twin Peaks in Westchester.
No show on Christmas Eve. I think we have a
best of show on Christmas Day, and then the day
after the twenty sixth, I will be broadcasting from Buffalo

(07:25):
Wild Wings Harper's Point, so it, you know, celebrate Christmas.
And then I got to get out of the house,
come on out, hang out with us, and I believe
I think that's the day we find out if I
have won the iHeartMedia Employee of the Year Award on the
twenty sixth. I think so
