You know what you should do.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Jay Morrison's with this Bengals Talk dot Com. I think
you're really gonna like Dalton Reisner when you read about
him at Bengals Talk dot com. Guy who's done a
nice job, going to start against the Bills on Sunday.
Guy who apologizes to his teammates more than I have
e to either of my wives. Jay is with his

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Hij Hey, how things go on?

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Things are wonderful, and things look like they're progressing as
it relates to t Higgins.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Correct, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
It looks really encouraging. He was a full participant today.
He's technically still in concussion protocol, but that's just because
he has to do one full practice and then meet
with an independent neurologist.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
That meeting will take place tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Morning, and all expectations are that he will be cleared
and be ready to flay Sunday against Buffalo.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
So, now, like you look at them all offensively, they're
very healthy and Jay, do they actually have a good
offensive line?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Now?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Yeah, sure seems like it. I mean, think about this,
they've given up one sack in each of the last
three games. The last time they gave up three or
fewer sacks in a three game span was the last
three games of twenty twenty. And they're running the ball
really well. They've really kind of found something. Chase Brown
six straight games with one hundred scrimmage yards or more
and this team they're rushing yards per average is one

(01:30):
of the best it's been in the last twenty five years.
It's just all the metrics are really impressive. And then
the eye test is there too. They're moving people, they're
creating holes. You see Chase Brown, he's not quite late
Le'Veon Bell, but he's really kind of patient picking his
spots back there because there are spots. It used to
be there was nowhere to go. Now there's multiple ways

(01:52):
to go, and it's one of the more remarkable turnarounds.
I'm not ready to put the defense in the turnaround
department yet. Let's see a few more games games. But
what this offensive line has done, especially under a first
year coach and Scott Peters, has really been impressive.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
It has been Now they can they lean on Chase
Brown in that offensive line a little bit more on
Sunday because I don't know. As awesome as it was
to have Joe Burrow back thirty three attempts in the
first half against Baltimore, we can't have a repeat of
that moving forward, right.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Well, I don't know. I mean, can they lean on him, yes,
will they?

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Who knows?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I mean.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Zach Taylor was asked about in his press conference this
week about it's December, it's.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Cold weather, do you lean more into the run game?

Speaker 4 (02:31):
And he's like, we've done pretty well throwing.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
The ball in cold weather. They're they're going to stick
to who they are. I think if they get a lead,
you might see them lean into that running game more.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
In the second half.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
But I think they're going to come out attacking and
and really not just attacking with the passing game, but
mixing it up. That's the key thing is where they
are not predictable and they can they can get good.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Games with the running game, and.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I just I don't think they're ever going to change
their stripes, so to speak.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I think they're always going to be a pass first team.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
But knowing you've got that kind of run game that
can offset things is really important, especially now you probably
you have to win every game down the road or
down the stretch, it seems like, and they do seem
poised to do that. They just put a lot of
points in a lot of yards on a really good
Baltimore defense. They get by Buffalo this week and it
gets really interesting.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
It does, it does, then it's game on. They need
they need to continue to build upon what they've done
the last couple of weeks on defense. They actually like
one after Lamar Jackson on Thanksgiving Night? Can that be
a template moving forward? If you have guys who can't cover,
and we've seen their coverage issues at linebacker, can they
just have those guys blitz the quarterback instead.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
I do think we're going to see more of that.
I think that was kind of a unique thing where
they knew I think everyone knows.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
That Lamar is not one hundred percent and they felt
like that was.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
A good plan. I don't know if blitzing Josh Allen
is the way to go this week, but the fact that.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Al Golden feel more comfortable calling those blitzes and that
he knows he can put more on the plate of
these young guys that the pass rush has been lacking
all year, and that's a way to spark it. It's
not just bringing linebackers, it's bringing corners, it's bringing safeties.
Are really mixing things up, and I don't know that
you're going to see it that much this week. Like
I said against Josh Allen, he's not a guy that

(04:20):
you want to try to flush from the pocket.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
With the blitz.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
But I do think the final few games of the
season we are going to see how Golden lean more.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Into that aggressive approach with the blitzes, the stunts and
the games.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Awesome stuff. As always, Jay, thank you so much. All Right,
thanks mom, That's our guy. Jane Morrison Bengals Talk dot com,

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
