Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tony. The preseason is over. The Bengals wound down the
preseason with a forty one to fourteen home loss to
the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. Now it's cut down day tomorrow.
The Bengals have to pair the roster down to fifty
three players. Where are their most difficult roster decisions?

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Well, I think MOA A player that made things pretty
difficult on Saturday was Kendall Milton. You know a guy
that we've not talked about much in the running back room.
I thought he looks fantastic and opportunities that he got. Now,
I don't know when you look at the numbers if
he's going to be a spot where you can carry
that many running backs. But you see how hard this
day becomes when you start to get down to the

(00:36):
nuts and bolts of a guy like Kendall Milton, very talented,
might not make this NFL roster for the Cincinnati Bengals.
And you know a guy we've talked about a lot of,
Mitchell Tinsley. I think the fact that we didn't see
him at all on Saturday against the Colts in the
third preseason game probably means that he's safely made this roster,
So whose spot does that take up? This team still

(00:57):
has questions on the defensive line. Offensive line depth was
the lack of all line depths was on display on
Saturday as well. So it's going to be a couple
interesting roster moves as you think over now a thousand
players are going to be let go in the next
twenty four hours or so.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, I think it's without question the Bengals are going
to be shopping for players at a lot of different positions.
I'm not sure quarterback isn't going to be one of them,
because I'm not sure des rit Ter helped himself on
Saturday in the bid to be the number three guy,
the guy in the practice squad.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Yeah, it was an unfortunate day for Dez and kind
of haunted by what has haunted him in his short
NFL career to this point, just the turnovers at inopportune
times and the ones that are avoidable. You know, the
pick six, It was not a good throw, was not
a good read, and you're keeping it pretty base, you're
keeping it pretty vanilla. Those are plays he's got to

(01:49):
be able to make to continue to advance his NFL career.
I don't think with how Browning looked in the second
preseason game that the number two job was even up
for grabs. But it does make you wonder from a
depth standpoint at the quarterback position, are they are they
good with where they're at or is that something they'll
have to address as well.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Up next for the Bengals the regular season opener in
thirteen days, when they head to Cleveland to take on
the Browns. The season opener will kick off at one
o'clock and you'll hear it on ESPN fifteen thirty and
one oh two point seven, w EBN with Tony Pike.
