Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dan Klaskins is with us the host of Fantastics Insider
Football on Sirius XM Fantasy. You can follow him on
Twitter at Dan Klaskins. He is our fantasy football guy. Dan,
It's good to have you. What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
So how are we doing? My brother?
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
Let's see, I won one league. I won one week
one in one league. The other Zay Flowers killed me
on on Sunday night. So I suffered a collapse like
the Baltimore Ravens did. I suffered a collapse. So I'm
I'm want to know.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
And oh and one, you know what your average mo?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
And that's that's what we've been saying.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
For years, right, without question, Yes, I average at best?
Uh one week in the books, give me a handful
of things that in the first week of fantasy football
stood out to you?
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, I mean one.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
We don't want to overreact, right, one week, twelve week,
but there are still some interesting stats. Let's talk about
let's talk about Joe Burrow, Right, everybody's freaking out around
here and all man about the wind and whatever. But
in fantasy it was worse because many many of his
fantasy managers weren't as lucky enough this week how to
win and over the last few years. I mean it
is a little interesting.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
We know all the variables in BOLB with Burg, but three.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
Point two Fantasy points, eight point one Fantasy points, eight
point eight standard Fantasy points in his last three Week
one starts after that movie. Throughout Week one he's averaging
twenty one points per game and fantasy the rest of
the way. So let's not panic there. I hope nobody
is ramondre Stevenson Trevion Henderson that was in one of
the backfield battles that we talked about. Interesting and usage
(01:30):
doesn't always matter, mo I mean, we'd like to project
the snaps and all that. I mean, Ramonder out snap
Trevan forty six to twenty five e seven more routes,
But it was Henderson who got the fantasy level eleven
point one to four point seven PPR points. This one
could really frustrate fantasy managers that this early trend continues.
Love what I saw about of Deebo Samuel. Is he
better than Terry McLaurin and the target shared takeover here
(01:52):
in DC we saw double the targets than any other
commander in week one for Debo A thirty four point
five percent target share. Meanwhile McLaurin just thirteen point eight percent.
He only had one game last.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Year that the that lows. So maybe deebo Era in
DC is really in full spring. We have to see.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
It happened for a few weeks and finally I gave
up on the guys, so maybe I shouldn't have. But
Kyle Pitts that there are signs of life for Kyle Pitts.
He saw eight targets eighteen point six percent target share.
That's something he only did twice all last season, and
one of those game against the same opponents. So it's
a promising start. We'll see if they continues. They're a
little banged up there and with some of their other receivers,
(02:32):
so I hope it does. Especially if you got him,
I would continue to use it.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Let's roll through some of the more prominent Week two injuries,
starting with a pair of San Francisco forty nine ers.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, dude, I mean mental note here, don't draft forty
nine ers.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
It's like this team always just heart. It's like the
SI Cover and the.
Speaker 5 (02:51):
Men Cover all rolled into one here.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
I don't know, dude.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
George Kittle is one that is really the big takeaway
here because he's been playing on I are I mean,
you're talking about a guy that was.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
A third round pick, fourth round pick. He's dealing with
the hamstring issue.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Hopefully he's back, but right when he's Dell was going
week six, but if you got him, you're going to
have to obviously go other directions. Rock Purdy obviously also
a big injury here. He's dealing with a variety injury.
It's a toe issue. Though it's guy listed is doubtful
for this week. Looks like mac Jones is going to
get the start versus Saints. Hopefully this is only a
one week matter, but.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
We'll continue to monitor that.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
Better news for Drake London had a shoulder issue that
he felt with the Falcons wide out already back at
practice yesterday, so that's always a good time. I expect
him to play that. That game's on Sunday night, so
we'll want to keep watching it as we get closer
to kick off.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
We talked a little bit of you know about.
Speaker 5 (03:45):
Other injuries, but Javior Worthy a shoulder.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Issue there last Friday night when he ran into Kelsey, so.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
They're already thout.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Rashie Rice Worthy not at one hundred percent likely to
miss some game time here as well. So that's even
Mark Heath Brown and Juju Smith Schuster is the best
options in Kansas City. That Chiefs offense definitely taking a
blow brought Bowers hoping to get through that knee issue.
Another elite tight end, and we're a little more concerned
about Evan Ingram with the cafish with to monitor his
(04:13):
status through the rest of the week. And tonight Austin
Eckler was Listen's question. I do expect him to play
there in the shoulders here, and if you're desperate in PPR,
I think you can use him as a flex or
RB three because he's certainly the commander's top option in
NA regard out of the backfield and at targets.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Dan Laskins joins us every Thursday to talk fantasy football,
host a Fantastics Insider Football on Sirius XM Fantasy Give
me our Week two Studs, Duds and Sleepers.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Yes, yes, I did hit on most of my stud
dogs and sleepers last week, so that is a good
dancy if we can keep that rolling. Tyron Williams at Tennessee,
this is a running back.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I really liked this week. He DIDs some volume.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
I like their bands in this matchup Tennessee, they.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Weren't very impressive.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
There's still a team down defense, especially I have some
question marks around, so I expect the Mnasley playing from
a lead.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
I think he's a top five play.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
This week at the position.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
DK Metcalf, another guy. I mean, I didn't want to
see it.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
I was hoping I wouldn't see it, but I mean,
we all have to mat Aaron Rodgers looked pretty good
last week, certainly like he has a heartbeat, and now
DK Metcalf. It's a revenge game. He's going against his
former team, the Seattle Seahawks, as the Steelers make their
home debut, his first game in front of Pittsburgh. I'm
expecting DK to have a big day and actually get
into him this time around. From on the dud side,
(05:31):
Dak Prescott, he's up against the Giants. The Giants defense
actually pretty good, especially there upfront. I'm worried about Dallas's
offensive line with him. Plus Dallas is favored in this game,
so you know, Dak Prestat's outside the top fifteen. I
think there's better weeks ahead for him. I benually if
he can and Mark Andrews. The Browns obviously have a
good defense as well, and Andrews was almost a non factor.
(05:52):
You look at all the points scored last week. Get
forty points by the Ravens, all these amazing passing yards,
all these things that came up, but Mark Anders had
like to less than three Fantasy points depending on your
scoring system. I don't think it gets much better this
week less you finds the end zone and then a.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Couple sleeper sport.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
I'm going to go trade Benson first, Carolina, the second
year back on a little role.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Actually, like both.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Cardinals running backs in the match up their favorite by
almost a touchdown here at their home opener. I think
Benson is an RB three flax play as well. And
I've catched Kobe Myers in my Top twenty a receiver
had a really strong Week one. It's gonna see a
lot of targets. I expect the Raiders to be playing
from behind here as well, and what could be a
higher scoring game that people are expecting there with the
Chargers one of two Monday night games, so lots of
(06:34):
head to look forward there, especially if you're sweating out
that final game. To have two games to sweat out
on Monday night mood.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Looking forward to that. Playing fantasy football is awesome. It's
even better when you could play fantasy football and help
veterans at the same time.
