Speaker 1 (00:00):
Rocky. The Bengals open up the season on Sunday against
the Cleveland Browns, So we are going to get our
first regular season look at a lot of guys playing
their first real game in a Bengals uniform. Of all
of those players, who is the guy you're most excited
to watch?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yeah, I spoke about him yesterday, But for me, it's
Shamar Stewart. And maybe that's out of necessity because he
better be good or we're in real trouble. But I
really like obviously he came in there was no production
in college. But I thought throughout camp things I saw,
the things I read or that he was really making
splash plays. And I always like to listen to the players,

(00:34):
the players that he's going against, and I read you
know Orlando Brown talking about you know, Orlando Brown has
been in the league a long time. He talked about
how rare Shamar Stewart's bend is, how rare his twitchiness is.
So I thought he did enough for me in camp
to be really excited about. And again he has to
be a game wrecker, mough where this defense is in trouble.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Well, I give that guy a lot of credit because
for weeks on and all we did was talk about
his contract, and to a degree, all we did was
talk about his lack of SAX in college. And then
he showed up for training camp and in the preseason,
and he instantly changed the conversation. I think Shamar Stewart's
the answer. I wish they had more new players, quite frankly,
because I wish they would have signed more free agents.

(01:17):
But I'm gonna be watching Dylan Fairchild closely right because
guard play has to get better. Yes, one area of
the team, the other side, the right guard position. Who
knows what they're gonna get. They need Dylan Fairchild to
play like an NFL veteran starting on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
And to your point, though, I mean everything out of
camp was I thought he looked really good in the
games I saw and the things that you hear about
from the defensive players and how well he's playing. So again,
another player that we think will be good and needs
to be good.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Bengals in Cleveland Sunday to take on the Browns. The
game is gonna kick off at one o'clock. You'll hear
it live on ESPN fifteen thirty and one oh two
point seven, w EBN with Rocky Boyman. I'm Maweger
