Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dan Klaskins is with us. He is with Fantastics Insider
Football on Serious XM Fantasy, and he is on Twitter
at Dan Klaskins, and I came very close to reading
his phone number on the air. Dan, It's awesome to
have you. Good afternoon. How are you?

Speaker 2 (00:19):
What's up? Brother? What's up? I am? I am a
kid on Christmas this morning? Friend. First at two and
seventy two regular season games about to kick off a
few hours and draft season is officially over for me though.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
How many drafts in the leagues do you participate in?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Well Accounting Basketball League, which our for real, because I've
Pad money. I did about eighty drafts since the Super Bowl.
Eighty drafts, including I feel like fifteen in the past
ten days. It has been quite the marathon, all right.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Among those eighty drafts, give me players you have the
most of in the least of Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
It's one of my favorite parts of the process is
when it's all done, is looking at my where my
exposure is and where I don't have it, And quite simply,
the guys I have the most of these are the
ones I really love. So if you still have a
drafted draft them on your team on the line, and
then there's some that I just don't have many at all,
if at any and season long league. So Jordan Mason
Austin Eckler, those are my two running backs. I love

(01:25):
the Vikings backfield, but I think Mason's actually better than
Aaron Jones for the season. He's going a couple of
rounds later, so I love that Austin Eckler with a
guy I gobbled up all summer in the late LAI rounds.
With some recent roster moves, he is in a big role.
He stays healthy. I think he's going to be a
sneaky PPR running back this year. That receiver is Brian
Thomas Junior, DJ Moore and Cedric Tillman. Brian Thomas Junior

(01:46):
is a guy I love at the end of Round
one earlier round two. I think he's in for another
big season and the second year with the Jags. I
love Dj Moore now that Ben Johnson's there the Bears
an offense. I'm intrigued by Cedric Tillman of the Browns.
I think they're gonna be playing front behind is there.
Philman's a third year receiver and a break up. My
most tight end is George Kittle, and that's today. Either
drafted one of those top three. I waited to the

(02:07):
barrier and now guys I didn't touch hardly at all,
and definitely in my season long leagues, or I'm setting
lineups include Patrick Mahomes a lot of that's more because
he's part of Tier two. He's the top of it,
and I don't want to take the first guy in
that garline, so I don't have any of him. I
don't really think the Chiefs with Roshey Rice are going
to get off to a great path start in that
passing attack. J Kwon Barkley he plays tonight though he's

(02:28):
coming off the Super Bowl. That exposure is just all
those carries at his price, I'm concerned. And I also
went under on most of his season along props, rushing
totals and such. Tyreek Hill, no thanks, I just passed
go on him all year. I don't trust him. He
is playing for pay day though. That's the one that
could burn me because we all know what he's capable of.

(02:49):
And then Garrett Wilson, it's just the Jets passing game
as a whole, being that he was such an expensive
piece of it. He didn't find his way onto any.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Of my Dan Laskins is with us on Twitter at
Dan Klaskin's let's talk backfields. Give me some groups of
running backs to pay attention to for Week one.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Yeah, if you're asking me what I'm really intrigued by
outside of my own fantasy lineups, Bets and the Bengals
in Week one, it's all these emerging backfields and things
that fantasy managers are making some assumptions. But the vikings
back that I mentioned before, Jordan Mason, Aaron Jones, they
play the Bears. I'm anxious to see how those because
I think that's most play. I'm also really intrigued by

(03:29):
Jacksonville lim Cohen con over there. Last year his offense
produced Bucky Irby, who was the rookie breakout that was
the league winner. Now he's in Jacksonville. Is a travisy
deannas in Tanks Bigsby. Is that by shell touton the rookie.
I think it's going to be a mess, But if
any one of them emerges, it will be a big
deal in fantasy. I'm anxious to see how breaks out
week one. The Chargers, Patriots and Broncos also top in

(03:51):
the list the Chargers of Marion Hampton, the rookie I think,
even for a big season, the fact that Nazi Harris
is back this week, it could take time to develop,
as it could in New England where Traveon Henderson, the
local high school star obviously played at Ohio State. Most
local people are familiar with him. He's the most hyped
up rookie running back there is in fantasy in the

(04:12):
month of August. I still think Ermandre Stevenson's going to
have a role there. So we'll see in another rookie
r J Hearn Harvey battle with JK. Dobbinson that Broncos
backfield situation. I like Harvey in the long run, but
the short term Dobbins might be the better play MO.
And that's the one message here. If you draft these
young rookies, you draft these rookie running backs, you gotta

(04:33):
give him a chance you get going. I always see
it people draft him and then two three weeks in
the season they cut him, and then by week eight
or nine they're winning league. So patience is a virtue.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Every week for years, I've asked her to give me
a weekly stud, dud and sleeper. Give me some studs
duds and sleepers.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yes Week one, let's get to him. Devon a Chan
He is my highest projected non quarterback EPR league this week.
There's been a lot of negative narrative around his injury,
his handstring. He's limited for discipanse he and the Dolphins.
I think the Dolphins are going to really take it
to Miami. I think Ahm has a huge Week one

(05:13):
versus the cold. Hate to pick on the Bengals defense.
I do think they got a lot better. I'm intrigued
as a fan of the team, but in Week one
I will pick against him going against David Njoku. His
numbers with Blaco last year made him a tight end
three during the span. I think Cincinnati's still going to
have problems stop and him. I also like his over
four and a half receptions, which I got him on

(05:33):
it early, so it is rising. And then on the
Dutch side though, Caleb Johnson, another rookie running back, I
just said practice pation. I drafted him. I think he's
gonna be something in Pittsburgh. But this week, first the
Jets Jalen Warren and Kenneth Gamebell ahead of him on
the depth chart. I've got him on about five or
six of my seasonal team. Only one of them, and
that's good out in desperation as the end my lineup.

(05:55):
He needs to play his way in. But I definitely
think big things are Head and Cooper Cup. It does
I mean this guy, I mean, I don't have him
on any teams either. He could have been on my
lease list, but he's not going to have a much
of a huge fantasy ceiling here. So outside of a
boring PPR four, I'm gonna sit him again San Francisco
and a couple of sleepers. I'm going Trevor Lawrence at

(06:17):
Carolina or excuse me, versus Carolina and Jacksonville. There. Carolina
is the thirty second ranked team and allowed more fantasy
points to quarterbacks than anybody last ye. I do think
they got better, but not that much better. And I
really like what Trevor Lawrence springs to the table. He's
in my top ten this week. And Ricky Piersoll, you know,
the second year guy. They're in San Francisco. Juwan Jennings
is back, but they're pretty banged up. I think Piers

(06:39):
calls in for a good day. I've got him the day.
Top thirty wide out I think he's in for a
big seat in the head here for the forty nine ers.
They're in Seattle and what should be a really intriguing
Week one matchup.

Speaker 1 (06:49):

pearsall on his club, you are helping people play fantasy
