Speaker 1 (00:00):
Pike since he three sixty about Cincinnati from Cincinnati Sponsorman
Park by Cincy Shirts, Cincy Shirts all since e all day.
This is ESPN fifteen thirty, Cincinnati Sports Station.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
All right, welcome back. It's our number two the Tuesday edition.
Since he three sixty thanks to Cincy Shirts. Our number
two on Tuesday means our guy from Fox nineteen is
standing by to join us right now. The problem is, Austin,
I just don't know if there's enough storylines that we
can talk about today with Joe. So we're gonna have
to dig pretty deep to try to figure out how
to get a segment out of this with Joe Danaman
joining us right now.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
What's up, Joe?
Speaker 4 (00:38):
I thought we were going to talk about elbow infractions
on beer pong elbow infractions.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
That is a false claim. I was clearly three feet
behind the table. People just don't like greatness.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Joe.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Your arms are four feet long. People struggle with greatness
at different times.
Speaker 5 (00:53):
You're so tall you.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Can just reach across and just drop the ball right
into a cop.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
It's unfair.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, well I was carried by my wife, so I
didn't even play the best.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
So there's that.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Did you catch any of John Cena's final Monday Night
were all last night.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
Oh my gosh, it's on tape on record. I haven't
gotten there yet. No spoilers just yet.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Uh do we have any traction?
Speaker 2 (01:16):
I know we're going to dive into the Bengals any chance,
Elder say Next is going to be played at pay
Course Stadium.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
Boy, That's what I've been working on the last half
hour here. Let me say this. I can say this
publicly because I have it confirmed from two people.
Speaker 5 (01:32):
I do know that workers.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Are being mobilized to be ready for Friday night and
a high school football game at pay Course Stadium. That
does not mean it's for sure happening. I know there
is another venue in the Tri State that's also in play,
that is trying to get this.
Speaker 6 (01:51):
Game at their venue.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
But I think the big winner here is State Next
Elder and high.
Speaker 6 (01:57):
School football in Cincinnati.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
That we can get a bigger venue for a game
that deserves to be played at a bigger venue. It's
the biggest hig school football game of the year here
in Cincinnati.
Speaker 5 (02:08):
So the fact that I'm.
Speaker 4 (02:11):
Always yes, let's play it at a high school venue,
yet let's make.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
It feel exclusive.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
But if there are that many people who want to
come see this game played.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Why would we not use.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
The facilities that are here in town to get more
people in to see what will.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Be a great game for sure, without a doubt.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Now, outside of that, it has been a pretty busy
week around the Cincinnati Bengals with everything that happened in
the loss to the Pittsburgh Stealer is let's start with
the Jamar Chase incident. Let's start with I think let's
start with how it's being handled from the organization.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
We weren't able, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
We see the video and then we hear Jamar Chase's
response and then the suspension, and we've really yet to
hear from Jamar Chase to this point. How do you
view how this has been handed internally from the Bengals
up to this point.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
It's interesting because Jamar choosing not to speak is his decision.
And the way Mondays work at pay Course Stadium with
open the locker room, the team comes out of the
team meeting and the entire team flows into the locker
room at the exact same time. So there was a
heavier presence of media than usual on Monday afternoon. We
(03:27):
were all waiting around Jamar's locker. You would think he
would have to stop there, get some personal items and leave.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
He did not.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
He just walked right to the locker room. Ben Baby
from ESPN was the one who kind of branched out
to kind of go over there and test the water
so to speak with Jamar, to see I who wanted
to talk.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
He asked him, and he shook his head no. He said,
can we take that as an official no comment? He
shook his head yes, and he was out of the room.
So Jamar Chase chose not to speak. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
I'm okay with him not speaking, but I also think
there was an opportunity there for him to speak and
say what he wanted to say, if it's an apology
or if it's him a misunderstanding of what happened on Sunday.
The hard part for Jamar in this situation is the
video was posted it after he did his postgame interview,
(04:21):
So did he think he got away with it and
no one noticed it, and that's why he thought he
could confidently say he didn't do it, and then the
video came out there after, so that that's what put
him in a bit of a bind on what he said,
how it was handled by the organization. This is this
is how the Bengals do it right that Zach Taylor
has to be the voice of the organization on this one.
(04:43):
That's part of the job description in Cincinnati as Bengals
head coaches, you're the voice of the organization in good
times and in bad And Zach stood by Jamar and
he should because I think Jamar has earned that.
Speaker 5 (04:56):
Now.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
We've seen Jamar have these crashouts that seemed to have
happened once a year. I mean, I think back to
last year in Kansas City early in the season when
he had a moment like this, and then he had
this one on Sunday in Pittsburgh. And listen, provoked or
not right? I mean, we all understand what Jalen Ramsey's about.
You know, if anybody can provoke a j Green to
do what he did, certainly he's he's a master at
(05:19):
provoking guys to do things. And and and it happened
to Jamar Chase on Sunday in Pittsburgh. And how it's
being handled. This is what they do. And Zach Taylor
has to answer the questions. He's standing by Jamar it's
what he has to do, and I think he should
stand by Jamar because I think Jamar is about the
right stuff, even though we had that moment on Sunday
(05:40):
and uh yeah, that that's just the way the Bengals
are going to do it. It's gonna be curious how
how quickly the appeal plays out for whenever Jamar does
talk next, because it's scheduled to speak on Thursday, but
that likely won't happen.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
This week unless the suspension is appealed and won. Otherwise
we're not gonna hear from the bar for another week.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
So that's everything going on away from the field right now.
The other issue is what's happening on the field this team,
with another disappointing loss, things continue to unravel in the
wrong direction, and now you're looking at the tall task
of playing the hottest team in football, more than likely
without your best offensive weapon. At this point, what does
this mean from just a sheer football standpoint for the Bengals.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
I mean, it's not just your best offensive weapon. You
could argue that Joe Burrow, Jamar Chase Trey Hendrickson, or
this team's three best players at worst, three of their
four best players, and now you're playing the team with
the best record in football without three or your four
best players, or maybe all three of your best players.
It's that's a difficult thing to process for this team
(06:47):
going forward. Look, I feel like the Patriots can be had.
I'm not sold that they're the best team in the NFL,
that they've earned their record.
Speaker 6 (06:57):
They are what they are.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Drake Mays an awesome player, Mike Brabel's.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
A great coach, that they're on the come up, but
I do think they can be beaten. I just I
don't see a path for this team wait without Trey Hendrickson,
with without Jamar Chase, without Joe Burrow to get it
done on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (07:15):
Now with the NFL, we.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
See weird things happen all the time in this league.
But at the same time, I don't see the pass
for the Bengals to win on Sunday without those three players. Austin,
I don't want to hijack the conversation. Can you hit
the breaking new sounder?
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (07:31):
Oh, okay, hold on, give me a second and.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
We look at this.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
We now go to the fold lines to Joe Danovan
from Fox nineteen, who has breaking news.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Joe a source tell Box nineteen now that it is
a done deal. Staynax Elder pay Course Stadium on Friday night. Wow, Wow,
that is what a Friday night and down town Cincinnati unbelieved.
You see in Louisville at Heritage Bank Center and then
(08:05):
down the street you have State X and Elder to
be played on Friday night. So I'm going to continue
this conversation with you guys while firing off a tweet.
How about this.
Speaker 6 (08:16):
We're gonna multitas.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
This is unbelievable.
Speaker 7 (08:21):
Take as much time as.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
You need as Let's go ahead and pen the tweet together. Guys,
which would you say? Door tells Fox nineteen now yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
That now do you put first? Okay? Interesting? Interesting, they're
the one seed.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Let's get older first. That the Elder versus Saint Xavier
Regional Championship. This is great radio.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
No, I love it. I love itations on.
Speaker 4 (08:59):
This is breaking news Friday night at pay Core Stadium.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Incredible. The power of the people in this fine city
have spoken.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
It's amazing.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
People get stuff down one caveat here this text or
this tweet, it would say that public announcement coming soon.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Dang, unbelievable.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Good things happening when we talked to Joe, that game cool.
I mean Mason held what seven thousand and it sold
out immediately.
Speaker 6 (09:32):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
People to be thinking can can get this? I mean
what what twenty? Do you think we get twenty for
st Next and Elder?
Speaker 7 (09:40):
Yes, I would think so.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yes, easily, that's good stuff.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Easily stop gut.
Speaker 7 (09:47):
This is fantastic. Thanks thanks for choosing to break that
news with us, Joe.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
We appreciate that a lesser person would have just hung
up the phone.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
A lesser person would have.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
Just you and I did breaking news together during this show.
It was when Joe Flacco got traded to the Angle, Yes,
and we were trying to process that on the air,
and you think back to that conversation and where the
Bengals are now. I mean this it was we didn't think,
I don't know on the surface, I was like, it's
a guy.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Joe Flacco doesn't have much less.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
He's been great.
Speaker 4 (10:18):
I know he came back to Earth on Sunday a
little bit, and that was always the worry and into
Tony's last question about the Bengals playing the Patriots on
Sunday is Yeah, the defense is the defense, but the
offense has been pretty elite all season.
Speaker 6 (10:35):
Now you wonder, as.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Joe Flacco will come back to earth a little bit
now you don't have Jamar Chase. What's the past to
beating the Patriots. I don't know, other than the NFL
can get weird.
Speaker 7 (10:45):
Something that I found interesting Joe is the last two Mondays,
Zach Taylor has basically cut off the idea that Trey
Henderson could play. Now normally he's pretty coy about these
injuries and said, we'll see how it happens. We'll see this.
See He's immediately said Trey has been doubtful both this
(11:06):
last press conference yesterday and the Monday before. Is there
any indication about a timetable for Trey Hendrickson or what
he's going through or if he's going to be able
to play again this year?
Speaker 5 (11:17):
None whatsoever.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Yeah, The only information we have is the exact information
that you've heard from.
Speaker 5 (11:23):
And I've noticed the same thing. And you know, I
don't like to.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Say these things out loud on public, but I think
you have to wonder, is Trey Hendrickson going to play
any more meaningful snaps in Cincinnati.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
I just don't know.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Yeah, But the only information we've had is what's been
given from Zach Taylor, and it's been very quick. Doubtful, doubtful, doubtful.
It's weird that he's always landed on doubtful and never
an out, But it kind of feels like doubtful with
an expectation.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
That, oh, yeah, he's out, not going to play.
Speaker 4 (11:54):
So I think it has to be in the back
of everyone's mind that the timetable well Trey Hendrickson could
include him not playing the rest of the season. I
think I would bet against that. But at this point,
the only information we have is that he continues to
say doubtful on a weekly.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
Basis as it relates to who will be available on
Sunday against the Patriots if Jamar Chase and the suspension
are upheld. Do we see Jermaine Burden active for this
game or we pass that.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
I have no idea that is a curveball. I don't know.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
It feels like he's been weirdly phased out the last
couple of weeks with whatever this this illness is.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
He's around, We saw him yesterday.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Oddly he was the last one who was still inside
the locker room. Certainly there's a space and an opportunity
for him. I would think Mitchell Tinsley is the likely
choice to get a lot of snaps with Jamar Chase
if he's not going to play on Sunday, but being active,
(13:04):
I mean, man, you would think you would think he
would have a chance to be active. But the way
he's been treated here the last couple of weeks with
illnesses and just not being involved, it kind of feels
like he's almost been put in this weird category of
just out of sight, out of mind, and can he
pop up here in one week and a handful of
(13:26):
practices and earn his way to an activation on Sunday.
Certainly the past is there, but it feels like a
long shot to me for Jermaine Jermaine Burton to do
anything that would be of any kind of a difference
making role on Sunday against the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
The questions will remain with Joe Burrow. And you talked
about Trey Hendrickson and will he play meaningful snaps. It's
one thing to talk about Joe Burrow in the sense
when everything was still alive, right going into the Pittsburgh game.
Beat Pittsburgh and let's reconvene. Let's see what happens. Seeing
the game to Pittsburgh, being a big underdog to New England.
Does that change how you view how Joe Burrow would
(14:07):
be handled.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
No, it doesn't seem how I view it. But my
view is completely different from what I'm feeling from the
stadium because my view is if the Bengals are not
in this and don't have a chance to go to
the playoffs, and it feels like that, for all intents
and purposes, died Sunday in Pittsburgh, that he should not
play because the Bengals are going to enter the offseason
(14:31):
with so many questions on so many different levels, and
that extends all the way up to the front office,
the coaching staff, personnel. How to rebuild this defense, how
to get this team competitive in twenty twenty six? Do
they need to hit a reset button? The last thing
you need is one more giant question on the top
(14:51):
of all of those mountains of questions of is our
quarterback going to be ready? Is he going to have
to be coming back from another injury?
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Now, what I'm.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Feeling from Joe talking and talking to people at the
stadium is that Joe wants to play football because Joe
likes to play football, and Joe is paid to play football,
And I get that, and I think that's most likely
what is going to happen if I had to bet
it right now, that no matter what the record is,
(15:22):
that Joe Burrow is going to push to play and
likely will win his push and get on the field
at some point this season. But does somebody in the
organization have to protect him from himself? Does somebody else
have to make that decision? Are we going to get
another Mike Brown on the golf cart with Joe Burrow
(15:45):
out of practice and him telling him what's going to
happen that week? But what happened that week was Joe
ended up playing on that Sunday night. So a kind
of feels like, and I don't mean this, I mean
it somewhat tongue in cheek, is that it feels like
some Joe Burrow makes a lot of decisions about himself
and maybe a lot of decisions that affect other people
(16:05):
in the organization, and maybe he's earned that. But if
it were me, I would not play him because I
would not want to risk adding another giant question mark
to what is already going to be an offseason full
of them.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
But if Joe Burrow is going to push.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
The play and he gets the green light from the
medical staff that he's ready to go.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
I think you're going to see him at some point
this season.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Outside of everything going on with the Bengals, it's a
huge obviously local sports weekend. We've outlined Friday night now
with Elder Stex at pay Course Stadium. You see in
Louisville at Heritage Bank. Saturday, big noon kickoff comes to town.
You see plays host to BYU for nip at Night.
This game has obviously lost a little bit of the
(16:53):
build up because you're now not in control of your
own destiny if you're the Cincinnati Bearcats. But how important
is this game, Joe? For a team in Scott Saderfield
who last year got to five and two and lost
their last five. They've now reached this great moment. They've
lost their last two. Here comes another good opponent. How
important is Saturday for Scott Saderfield and the Bearcats.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Well, I think you made the great point there, and
you've made that several times here the last couple of.
Speaker 6 (17:19):
Weeks is that you see can't repeat.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
What they did last season and the fade out at
the end of the season. When you get spot lit
like this, you've got to perform. And they're going to
be spot lit on Saturday night and on Saturday morning
afternoon with Big Noon being there and then them getting
the eight o'clock game on Fox. When your spotlight like
(17:44):
spot lit like this, and you're right, you know that
the past isn't as clear as it was in the
Big twelve Championship, that shouldn't matter Saturday Night. Saturday Night
should be about a chance for you see football to
be on a stage and perform. You know, Scott saderfield
enough this year to quiet a lot of people and
perhaps even save his job. And I think he's done
(18:06):
a very good job this year. But there are still
questions we all have about UC football going into this
game on Saturday Night, And to me, the biggest spotlight
is on the quarterback. And I love everything that Brendan
Sorsby is about. I love the way he handles himself.
He's a tough kid. He's had a great season, but
in some of the biggest games of the year, he
(18:27):
hasn't played his best football. So he's the one I'm
watching the most. On a stage like Saturday Night with
a lot of people in the country watching him, maybe
for the first time it can he perform like the
Brendan Soorsby that can make you see a top twenty
five is team that can keep you see alive in
(18:48):
a Big twelve race, that can get you see to
a good Bowl game, or who knows, get a shot
at the Big twelve championship and go to the playoffs.
But when you get a moment like this in a stage,
you got to perform. And the person I want to
see performed the best and the most is the quarterback
because we know what he's capable of, yes in the
game and some of the biggest games of the.
Speaker 6 (19:08):
Year, he just hasn't delivered.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
And he's got a shot here right that maybe he's
last shot against BYU, so really deliver in this game
in front of a national audience.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
He's the one I'm watching obviously. That's Saturday night.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Sunday is Bengals Patriots Sunday night, MESSI comes into town.
What all do you guys have going on at Fox
nineteen coming up?
Speaker 4 (19:27):
I mean, you think about Saturday Big Noons starts at
ten and then you have the Ohio State game on
at noon and then you had the UC game.
Speaker 5 (19:36):
On at eight.
Speaker 4 (19:37):
I mean, it's a massive day for football watching on Fox.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
So we're excited to have that.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
And then Sunday, yeah, we'll be doing it both.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
We'll be at.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Pay Court Stadium. Then we'll finish up with postgame there
and head straight over to Messi versus FC Cincinnati. And
that's such an awesome event in such a huge game,
And it's been one of these things that's been kind
of under talked about it how well at Sea Cincinnati
has done against Messi since he's come to Major League Soccer.
But now now you're gonna get the best Messi shot
(20:07):
right now. Now you're going to get him in an
Eastern Conference semi final with its winner go home two
games away. Then if you win that for winning the
MLS Cup, that to me is going to be theater.
It's going to be cinema to see what Messi does
when the stakes are this high. Coming to Cincinnati and
TQL Stadium, I can't wait Sunday. It is going to
(20:29):
be an absolute banger. But it's a great weekend starting
Friday night and then continues all the way through Sunday.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
What was it yesterday? Someone asked us to ask Joe
Austin about something about Julius's chicken.
Speaker 7 (20:38):
Is what chicken sandwich that we were told to ask
you about a Julia or Julia.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
Yeah, Julius said, Indian Hill, baby, Why go to chick
fil a when you can have Indian Hill's chicken all day?
Speaker 8 (20:53):
Man?
Speaker 5 (20:53):
That guy was fitting.
Speaker 4 (20:54):
Bars at the grill on Friday night. Yes, it was
awesome because you've got to high school.
Speaker 5 (21:00):
Game right, you get the burger as your dogs. Indian
Hill man, they do it right, man.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
They were doing some grilled chickens.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
He's a pizza the chicken baby.
Speaker 6 (21:08):
I was loving it.
Speaker 5 (21:10):
Man, joy us we're dropping bars at the drill.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Was awesome, awesome, You're the best, Joe Man, Thank you
so much. Appreciate the breaking news. We'll talk again next week.
Speaker 7 (21:19):
Thanks Joe yea.

Speaker 7 (21:35):

Speaker 10 (21:43):
It's our favorite tarter Sincy three sixty. So Austin, buddy,
play those talkbacks.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
On your screen and please try not to sabotag.
Speaker 7 (21:57):
Did you like that updated ditty there? I like that
our guy former President Reagan. I don't know if he
wants is his real name out there, so I'm just
gonna keep calling him former President Reagan. He sent that
along this morning says he's working on a Christmas one
as well, So I mean we basically should hire our
guy at this point. I love it with the production.
(22:19):
You know, about a week and a half ago, I
submitted a request for updated imaging for I did it
for Read and React, for quick hits for buy or Sell,
for Call the day. All that Bob producer, Well I
just gave out his name. Bob produces him better than
(22:40):

Speaker 2 (22:42):

Speaker 11 (23:23):
James Madison Bloomington school record eleven and oh well, whoop
Purdue waiting for the Buckeyes and the Big Ten championship
at the Dome in Indy.
Speaker 7 (23:38):
Wha, all right, too far, Jeff got the Hoosiers involved? Now,
who's speaking of Hoosiers? Did you see that the Pittsburgh
Pirates are allegedly in on Kyle Schwerber?
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Are they really now?
Speaker 7 (23:52):
Josh Naylor signed a big contract with the Seattle Mariners yesterday.
Apparently the Pirates off him eighty million dollars. Oh are
they trying to make a splash maybe and fit this
into the Paul Skeins window.
Speaker 3 (24:10):
They should?
Speaker 7 (24:11):
Could you imagine the reaction from Reds fans? No, if
Kyle Schwarber signs with the Pittsburgh Pirates, No, that would
be a rough day.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
You won't talking about a meltdown.
Speaker 12 (24:22):
It's the Lord, you know. In these Zach Daylor press conferences,
I wish there were ten Kelsey conways asking questions. She's
bold and unique, and she's always asked the tough questions.
I wish the rest of the reporters could be like that.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
Okay, all right, Well, at the Kelsey Power rankings are
coming out.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
At the Kelsey Tony and Audie.
Speaker 13 (24:47):
It's Chad Bendale's good friend Marvin Freeman. Marvel just wanted
to say, love your show. Unfortunately, I sense brave danger
for Op bear Ca. That's the Saturday versus b Yu.
I'm on the fire Saderfield train myself. Chugger, chugger, chew,
(25:08):
chew chew.
Speaker 10 (25:11):
Hello, this is former President Ronald Regan. Well, just once,
I would like to hear Zach Taylor speak like a
drill sergeant instead of giving us the fluff talk of
a politician. I don't want to hear that he trusts
his guys or the process when it's obvious to everyone
else that it's not working. He may as well say
(25:33):
I'm not a crook, or I didn't inhale. That's what
his press conferences have become.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
Oh boy, man.
Speaker 14 (25:44):
Boy, hey, I proched.
Speaker 8 (25:48):
From a former baggage handler. Do not put your name
and home address on your bad tag when you go
on your big sancy vacation to Hawaii. Anybody that touches
that bag and they see the tag with Honolulu on
it knows you ain't home tonight and they can come
rob your blind back.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
What do you put on your bag tag?
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Just my name?
Speaker 7 (26:14):
That's it.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
That's all.
Speaker 7 (26:15):
No way to contact you. No, well that doesn't make
a lot of also, don't. I mean, we really don't
fly much outside of flying with the team. My bag
tag and I say that go right on the right
on the plane. My first and last name, Okay, that's
Austin Nolmore. My phone number five one three no, and
my at at audio more. Those are my three things.
(26:36):
I also have an air tag hidden in it on
the same next game from a distance away.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Isn't it supposed to.
Speaker 7 (26:43):
Rain all day long on Friday?
Speaker 4 (26:45):
And the Bengals have a home game on Sunday?
Speaker 15 (26:47):
Am I missing something here?
Speaker 9 (26:48):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (26:48):
No, what's wrong with that?
Speaker 3 (26:51):
But field is going to be messed up?
Speaker 7 (26:52):
It's turf, I know.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Oh hey, guys.
Speaker 16 (26:55):
Armchair prosecution of this assertion that Mike Brown wants to win.
Since nineteen ninety one, has only had eleven winning seasons
in thirty four years, he has a five and eleven average.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Over those other twenty three years.
Speaker 16 (27:06):
For comparison, the Steelers in the same timeframe have only
had four losing seasons and compiled twenty six winning seasons.
Now the Terrible Tree are systematically destroying the Burrow era.
Losing is Mike Brown's calling card. He prefers a lukewarm
bowl of oat me on a side of dry toast
to winning. There is zero defense on the field and
zero defense for him.
Speaker 7 (27:26):
I keep trying to tell people the truth. I don't
know if they're listening. Mike Brown wants to win, correct,
but he wants to win his way and his processes
I believe are flawed. That's the issue. It's not that
he's just I don't think Mike Brown wakes up in
the morning and says, how can we go nine to
eight and miss the playoffs? No, I don't believe that.
Speaker 3 (27:50):
Hey, guys, armchair prosecution of this search.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
I just played that.
Speaker 17 (27:53):
Sorry, Okay, So obviously Zach Taylor cance it up there
and speak his mind, his jobs on the line, just
like you guys, cance it up there and say one
hundred on what you want to say.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Because you can get fired.
Speaker 9 (28:03):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Your livelihoods on the line.
Speaker 17 (28:05):
But answer me this, Why isn't anyone and this includes
like podcasters that can say whatever the heck they want.
Why doesn't anyone reach out to Marvin Lewis gotten some
answers from him? Is the guy that buttoned up that
he won't say anything about the Bengals. He was there
when Duke Copen was there. He knows how the sausage
is made. Why does anybody reach out to him to
get these answers?
Speaker 7 (28:24):
How does it benefit Marvin Lewis to air out the laundry?
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Tell all for Marvin?
Speaker 7 (28:28):
How does that benefit him? I don't think it does.
He's also still really good friends with Mike Brown. We'd
also love to have him on the show. Yeah, Marvin's
welcome anytime. I know he does games now national radio.
You know he did a Bengals game the Bears. Yeah,
why don't we have mondview where we were they at?
They were on the road. Where was that? Let's have
him on the preview a game, the Packers game. Marvin
(28:48):
was there, gave Mike Brown a big hug. I'll reach out.
Speaker 18 (28:51):
I have a start venture cut for Dave fort and
NOI's visit the Cincinnati and the pizzerias. Okay, I have tackles,
Romain does or Agios?
Speaker 6 (29:02):
Which one would you go with?
Speaker 7 (29:04):
I would go Donados. He was gonna say Tony has
to go at Donados. I would do any of them.
Because I don't have a pizza endorsement.
Speaker 3 (29:10):
I always go Donados.
Speaker 7 (29:12):
I want a pizza endorsement. I will speak on behalf
of any pizza place.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
And Cincinnati, they ain't going to get you anything.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
Well, I could be proven wrong.
Speaker 19 (29:23):
For next person that says anything about Zach Taylor's family,
You'll point him out.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
We'll get him out of here.
Speaker 8 (29:29):
You don't live in Cleveland, You'll live in Cincinnati.
Speaker 7 (29:32):
Gosh, we could use some sandwish these days. Tony Rachel,
Please just a question of hypothetical. Really, Okay, let's say
Zach Taylor goes.
Speaker 15 (29:43):
I personally don't believe he'd be fired because the Brown's
put up with mediocrity. But let's say he would get fired.
Do you think there's a coach out there that's worth
their weight that would really want this job. Don't you
think most good coaches would want to avoid having the
work with the Brown family?
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (30:03):
We outlined this a little bit earlier. I do think
the idea of the cap space, the quarterback, and a
patient ownership group are enough to get some guys to
want to come here.
Speaker 20 (30:16):
One commons trait that great head coaches seem to have
is that they hold their best players to a standard
that's a little bit higher than everybody else. So the
accountability I think a little more for the best of
the best than it is for everybody else. And when
(30:37):
you look at this team, the fact that Joe Burrow
decides whether or not he's going to go under center
kind of sums that part of.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
I think it's a little more delicate than that.
Speaker 7 (30:49):
I hope that we get because this has been talked
about seemingly endlessly, the under center thing. The Bengals did
a lot more of it in the first two games
with Joe Burrow. I hope that there are questions asked
of Joe the next time he meets with the media
about that. Yeah, and so that we could get some
clarification on it.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yeah. I just don't know how much he'll be able
to do with the.
Speaker 21 (31:11):
Tone man, turn that seat back up, hot, it's time
to flame him.
Speaker 7 (31:16):
The city out here is sunny hot and what up Tony?
Speaker 22 (31:19):
What up?
Speaker 9 (31:19):
Body man?
Speaker 21 (31:19):
I'm irritated not featuring Joe Roy and his offense. I
don't understand this. We don't win big games on national TV.
I mean, come on, man, get real marshmallowsoft defense for
the Bengals and Barracats. FC Cincinnati, you better say what
this weekend? Send the goat home packing and you see
basketball don't get exposed.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
But I think it's going to happen. Oh okay, there's
not a lot of hope for UC hoops on Friday
that I've heard.
Speaker 23 (31:45):
Hey, guys, it is Gary from del High. Serious question
today for we really want a good start, bench cut
out of this one. But which organization is most serious
about winning a champions Cincinnati Reds, Sinnati, Bengals or the
Washington Generals. And for those of you who don't know,
the Washington Generals are the team that gets pounded on
(32:06):
by the.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Hard and glib trotters. I would still thanks, I will listen.
I would start the Bengals. Yes, bench the Reds and
cut the Generals. I agree.
Speaker 24 (32:18):
For the sake of our own sanity, let us not
compare Bill Pollian.
Speaker 7 (32:26):
To Duke and cobn okay, I agree with that.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
And to that point, when.
Speaker 24 (32:35):
Does Zach say, hey, Duke, I'm fielding questions with which
everyone knows I don't have the answer to, would you
like to be a capable, you know, member of the
team and field the question seeing as you do have
the answers and they were your decisions.
Speaker 7 (32:52):
I mean kind of looking out for Zach in that way.
Speaker 9 (32:55):
If he did, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (32:57):
I do wonder if that's kind of part of the
trade off. You get a longer leash and more with
you you gotta deal with all the crap.
Speaker 9 (33:07):
Well, let me tell you something, mean jee take it
from your old pelty savage man. Doesn't want you or
anybody in a locker room betting a single dime on
those Bengals to win from here on out.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
That defense terical, geam.
Speaker 9 (33:25):
I haven't seen anybody this easy to score on since
lives in the nineties.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Oh no, don't you do it.
Speaker 9 (33:31):
If you do it, gonna lose your money faster than
you can snap into a slenting gym.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
Oh yeah, that's pretty good. That's pretty good.
Speaker 25 (33:41):
Spinning on a player is never acceptable under any circumstance,
but in a hypothetical situation if somebody was gonna spit
on somebody in an athletic event, could you could you
pick a better candidate than Jalen or Msey in the
Pittsburgh Steelers uniform. I mean, like I said, disavow, I disavow. Yeah,
(34:04):
but come on, it's the Steelers and Jalen Ramsey, so.
Speaker 6 (34:09):
Pick the good one lead.
Speaker 7 (34:11):
What would happen, tone if if balling ain't easy, spit
on you at the Memorial Day three on three, well
hands being thrown.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
They would have Usually something like that happens because a
rivalry has ensued because one side has won a game,
right right, Like a spit from ballin would just be
out of anger because he's yet to win.
Speaker 7 (34:29):
It'd just be like.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Rain, Yeah, I'd be like all right, Cole.
Speaker 7 (34:33):
By the way, Mike Tomlin was asked about this today.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
You know, I have no message and someone spits in
your face? Do what comes natural? S tombletoo.
Speaker 7 (34:46):
Man, I kind of respect the answer.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
He's a real one for it.
Speaker 19 (34:49):
This is Dakota Cole Ringe Township's up coda classic Natty
put the rich Catholic boys on the main stage in
the pro stadium. You ain't doing that for Cole Rain,
You ain't doing that for winn Woods, doing for the
rich Catholic boys and Jama Chase. He don't need to
speak to the media.
Speaker 6 (35:08):
That's what Zach's for.
Speaker 19 (35:10):
Zach answers all and every question that anyone has from
plumbing to play a personnel, That's what he does.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
We're in a good place today.
Speaker 14 (35:23):
Jeff from the Peers, you know, keeping in mind that
I am a Bobcat. I would hate to think that
this expanded playoff, you know where you see, you know,
have a shot, had a shot, would and not be
quite there, would make this game unimportant?
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Would just make me sad.
Speaker 7 (35:46):
What did he just say?
Speaker 3 (35:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (35:48):
Let's try it again. Let's see if we can figure out.
I'm struggling to follow this one.
Speaker 14 (35:53):
Jeff from the Peers, you know, keeping in mind that
I am a Bobcat. I would hate to think that
this expand playoff, you know where you see you have
a shot, had a shot, would and and not be
quite there would make this game unimportant, would just make
(36:14):
me sad.
Speaker 7 (36:15):
I still don't I'm not getting so he's saying that
he I think he's saying it makes him sad. That
the BYU game no longer has playoff significance. Okay, I
think that's what he's saying.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Okay, hey guys, Marcus from the Grove, Marcus.
Speaker 26 (36:31):
When it comes to the National Baseball Hall of Fame list,
I think the only newcomer that's on the ballad should
be Coll Handles, as well as Carlos, Beltron, Mark Burley,
Omar Viscuel and King Felix.
Speaker 3 (36:48):
Okay, thank you Marcus. Hey guys, this is Steve Markle.
Speaker 27 (36:53):
Our Bengals suck, our Bearcats suck, and our red suck.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
Go lass seat.
Speaker 11 (37:00):
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I didn't know her was a.
Speaker 7 (37:05):
Thanks sir, I don't.
Speaker 28 (37:06):
Know he's a since fan Tony Austin. This is Captain
James T. Kirk of the Star Shoot Enterprise. I predict
a Bengals win on Sunday. This will do nothing to
(37:29):
turn around the season, but at least we won't look
as bad as the brown Okay is that?
Speaker 7 (37:38):
Don't tell me that? Don't I know that what that's from?
I mean he literally told you they said the Starship Enterprise.
What's the name star Trek Star Trek, Yes, I know
the name. I couldn't I couldn't think of it.
Speaker 20 (37:52):
Uh huh, Tony, if bad ain't easy, you would that
be a spitball.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Thought, Sure, it's a good one.
Speaker 7 (38:04):
Yeah, Tony, it will be like RN.
Speaker 3 (38:05):
You ought to be used to it.
Speaker 25 (38:06):
I'm always raining threes in your guys.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
You guys, just stack your team.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
Kevin Johnson, come on.
Speaker 7 (38:12):
Man bawling. You need to you need to be doing
some work in free agency.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
He does every year he's got a big player coming in.
They just don't show up on Saturday. That's how least,
at least he talks about it. He's no Duke Tobin.
He doesn't run from his No, he's out there all right.
That was our last good deal. But I saw a
tweet from g c L Sports saying, thank you, peycurp.
Speaker 3 (38:36):
Let's go, let's go. What about the other games?
Speaker 5 (38:40):
Though?
Speaker 7 (38:40):
Heard it here first, heard it here first. That's what
we do, yep, bing bong.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
Football in the Natty to finish up our number two.
Speaker 7 (38:53):
Pirates. We'll lose my marbles.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Can you imagine? Would that be a wake up Callate
on that for a second. We'll be back.
Speaker 7 (39:02):
What's she doing?
Speaker 2 (39:02):
Let's call her C three sixty ESPN fifteen thirty Cincinnati
Sports station.
Speaker 29 (39:07):
Hey it's Maleger. Did you miss yesterday's Tony and Mo
football Show. The good news is you can listen to
it right now or whenever you want, wherever you want
on the iHeartRadio app or the podcast page of ESPN
fifteen thirty dot com.
Speaker 1 (39:19):
Genesis brought to you by Buttlight on ESPN fifteen thirty,
the official home of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
All right, we're back football in the NATI. Winding down
our number two Thanks again to Cincy Shirts. If you
missed it earlier, you got to go to store. There
are two retail locations for this to happen, but they
got a new Thanksgiving design out bless this mess. Thanksgiving
twenty twenty five a picture of a Bengal eating turkey.
(39:52):
The catch it's only in stores while supplies last, and
customers get a free turkey drop shirt with a fifty
dollars purchase. So go check out since shirts as soon
as possible, especially for all your holiday needs as well.
One thing we didn't talk about Austin as it relates
to Jamar Chase the suspension appeal. I gotta give it
(40:14):
to him. I appreciate the effort. I appreciate the effort
of essentially saying, listen, if I were to spit on someone, yeah,
I'd spit on his face.
Speaker 7 (40:29):
I can't help but laugh. It is right, I can't
help but laugh.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Like that was a legitimate report from I believe Ian
Rappaport yesterday that the appeal is going to be based
around the fact that if he were to spit intentionally
on someone, he'd do it to his face.
Speaker 7 (40:43):
I almost think there's like an angle, like they're trying
to take the side that the just the angle makes
it look like he's spitting on Jalen Ramsey, but he's not. Actually.
I think that's the other side of it. And I
have about a minute of audio here from Mike Florian,
and Florio says this is the argument that Jamar Chase
(41:06):
should make in his appeal.
Speaker 22 (41:08):
Bengals receiver Jamar Chase has been suspended one game without
pay for spitting on Steelers' safety Jalen Ramsey. So what
will Chase's argument be on appeal. He clearly won't say
he didn't do it. He tried that one the video shows. Otherwise,
he could make the argument that the NFL's long standing
precedent is not to suspend a player for spitting, but
to find him and for years that's what the punishment was.
(41:31):
It changed with Jalen carter back in Week one when
the Eagles defensive tackle spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
But you could make the argument he wasn't really suspended.
He was ejected and then it was fine the amount
of a game check. And they said it was basically
a suspension because he missed all of the game because
he spit on Dak Prescott before the first offensive play
(41:53):
from scrimmage, he still wasn't suspended. That may be the
best argument, That may be the only argument that Chase
can make. There's never been a suspension, a true suspension
for spitting. The punishment has always been a fine. I
don't think that that will be successful, but it is
an argument that Jamar Chase can make to Jordan Nelson,
(42:14):
the hearing officer, and we'll see whether or not he
has any shot at playing this weekend against the Patriots.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
Okay, thought on that that's that it makes sense. Yeah, yeah,
I think he should go with that. Other than the
if I wanted to spit on him, I'd have done
it to his face right, and you know, I know
he doesn't want like there are people that are like
wet talkers. That was a loogie. It was a lugie.
Speaker 6 (42:41):
Now.
Speaker 7 (42:41):
The other thing that's interesting is you heard Mike Florio
mention Jordie Nelson as the hearing officer. It was between
like Jordy Nelson, Derek Brooks or Ramone Foster. Do you
remember Ramone Foster?
Speaker 9 (42:57):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (42:58):
The name? I do? Yes.
Speaker 7 (42:59):
Ramone Foster used to be an offensive lineman for the
Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Oh that ain't who you want hearing it.
Speaker 7 (43:07):
And now he's one of big hearing officers. And I
went to look him up because I know that I
didn't like him in the past.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Not the big swagu, the big Ragul.
Speaker 7 (43:19):
The big ragu. And Ramon Foster has me blocked on Twitter.
What which I probably said something mean to him in
a Bengals Steelers game when I was like fifteen, would
be my guess, wow, you kid though, Yeah I was.
I mean I was coming at you as a kid.
I don't think he said anything to me. I think
(43:40):
it was just I probably said something to him that
was enough. Yeah, that was enough to have it. Yeah. Oh,
never tell you the story about how I got blocked
by Lance McAllister.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
No.
Speaker 7 (43:55):
I had said something that I really was fifteen years old,
and it was a twenty ten season where the Reds
were making this push for the playoffs, right, They're trying
to win the National League Central. And I would listen
to Sports Talk every night and it felt like all
Lance talked about to the fifteen year old me was
what the Cardinals were doing in this race for the
(44:16):
NL Central. And I said something along the lines of
no one cares about the Cardinals? Can you talk about
the rets?
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Ooh?
Speaker 7 (44:23):
And Lance blocked me. That was worthy of a block,
and I think I said, no one gives a bleep. Oh,
if you know what I mean, watch your mouth, I know, dude.
And so fast forward years later, I'm working with Lance consistently,
right like for a year or so. I was his
producer on Sports Talk every night, and one night, at
(44:43):
the end of the show, I said to him, Hey, man,
it's kind of a weird, weird request, but could you
unblock me on Twitter?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
His jaw almost hit the floor. How long into being
the produce? What did it take for you to bring
that up?
Speaker 3 (45:01):
Like? How long did you sit with that?
Speaker 7 (45:03):
I had been employed here for probably a year. I
had probably been doing his show for a few months.
A few months. Now, in a month or so, you'll
be doing a Christmas special with us. Yeah, oh I
did that last year too. His jaw almost hit the floor.
He's like, what I blocked you? And I was like, yeah,
I deserved it. I mean I was cursing at you
(45:23):
as a fifteen year old. I deserved it. Where's Phil Elmore?
You got a fifteen year old sending curse words on tweets.
I guarantee he didn't know about that. Well he does now.
He probably does now, Phil, I'm gonna see him tonight.
Speaker 3 (45:38):
Phil, take care of this well.
Speaker 7 (45:39):
I took my dad to Knippert Stadium on Saturday, first game.
He's ever seen it at Knippert, and every time he
saw Tony Pike jersey, he about had an aneurysm. He
was like, the point speak here it is. There's one
right there speaking to that.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Someone sent me this on social media, shout out to
the member of the Trans Siberian Orchestra that was rocking
the Adida's fifteen jury over the weekend.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
Yeah, I did see. I appreciate that, and I appreciate Phil.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
I just never thought would allow his fifteen year old
to be sending tweets like that.
Speaker 7 (46:10):
Oh he wasn't allowing it. I was doing It'll take
it was my fault. Phil ground him tonight. I also
took him through the corridor at Knippert Stadium there and
showed him the pictures. Oh yeah, like the twenty one
team and the twenty team and blah blah blah. And
I said, guess how many of those Bowl games they won?
Speaker 3 (46:29):
What do you say?
Speaker 7 (46:31):
He's like, how many? I said, none? Not a single one.
Phil helped me. I did. I had to explain to
him that there was somebody wearing your jersey with the
Orange Bowl patch. Oh, and went through Tony Pick Yeah,
story and all that.
Speaker 3 (46:50):
That's good. I'm glad we provided content.
Speaker 6 (46:52):
Well.
Speaker 7 (46:52):
I just wanted to make sure he fully understood the history.
Are we going to talk about what I also said
with the people I saw number three? But first, Scott
Saderfield is gonna get you all cut up to speed
on BYU and close the book on Arizona next, ESPN
