Speaker 1 (00:00):
Gracie Abrams and that's so true. On LIGHTFM with Cubby
and Christine in the morning, producer Kristen is off Today
it is Earth Day and believe it or not, you
can help the earth just by the clothes you wear.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Yes, you can.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
A good place to.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Start it is Cubby because fast fashion is one of
the biggest pollutants in the world. So the experts are saying,
when you go shopping, ask yourself this question, will I
wear this thirty times?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
That's a hard prediction. Well, I wear this thirty.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Times the thirty wears rule. If you don't think you're
going to wear it at least thirty times, maybe leave
it on the rack. And for a few reasons. Good
for the environment, right, because it's something that you're going
to repeat wear. Also good financially true. So I had
been shopping with our friend Kara Friday. There was a
sale at Bloomingdale's. You know, I love a good sale

(00:54):
at Bloomy's any good sale really, and jeans are rather
costly and we we're picking out a few. Now, you know,
she's a good friend if she had patience to be
there with me to pick out jeans, because that is
an Olympic Games that could take like, let's bring five
hundred pairsent. The jeans are expensive, but we did the

(01:14):
girl math cubby and we worked it out they cost
maybe ten cents of wearing. So if I buy these
expensive jeans but I wear them one hundred times, okay,
then it's like, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
You got your money's worth.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Right, girl math?

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Right? It works. So when you're doing when you're looking
out for the environment, I say, apply a little girl
math to it. Make sure that it's not an impulse
by that it's something that you're going to be able
to wear over and over. Oh and by the way,
we were we were at Bloomy's so long trying on
jeans that we almost got thrown out.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
I was going to say the lights go off, it
was it was attention.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Shoppers, Bloomingdale's is being ready to close. Your convenience will
be open tomorrow morning.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Is that when the anxiety kicks in.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I have to make a decision now, and I can
hear like the counters I still hear change, Like at
the counters being counted out.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I'm like, wait, wait, because I think I found something.
Only you man, I can't come back tomorrow. I have
to have it now.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Well, thank you for that tip. Who knew Earth Day?
It could all start with the clothes you wear.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Thirty Wears stays there

Speaker 1 (02:20):
All right, three hours commercial free to kick off that
workday next

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
