Speaker 1 (00:00):
Jackson's on light FM. We've Goby and Christine in the
morning along with producer Christen. That's getting us ready for tonight. Yes,
we're gonna be in twelve hours. We're gonna be dressed
up like zombies. We're gonna get all zombie fied like
we're in the Thriller video. And then we're taking a
bunch of Light FM winners or walking down the block
and we're checking out MJ the Musical, which is all
(00:20):
about Michael Jackson at the Neil Simon Theater and we're
doing that tonight, looking forward to I mean.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
This is fun because we're going to be here at
the station, so our friends and listeners will be coming here.
We're gonna have a pizza party thanks to John's Times Square, right,
while makeup artists in our Knicks studio makes us up
to look like zombies. And then we all walk over
to the theater and let's hope it's open.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
You know what, We got to keep it real, Christine,
You're right, it's in the back of our minds. Yes,
there is a possibility of a musician strike, right, and
we make it word on that gosh between now and
like ten am, I.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Mean we're kind of I'm waiting. I'm like constantly looking
for breaking news right now because the musicians may strike.
They have yet to reach an agreement with the Broadway League.
Actors had just reached an agreement, but they will strike
as well. Not strike, but they'll walk the picket line, yeah,
to support, to support the musicians and the stage managers.
(01:18):
So yeah, most theaters would be dark.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
But as of now six thirty nine am, it's a go.
We're on.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
We think we're on.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
We're on tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
I mean, if we get all zombified and walk over
there and then.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
We're going to be arrested, that's a Halloween time, right.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
I mean, if nothing else, we're having a pizza party
and getting made up to.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Get exactly then we're going home.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
A strike. I really hope the show goes on. I
hope they can work this out. Musicians deserve it. They're
so wonderful, and they're so so wonderful, and they're such
an integral part of what's happening at the theater. Yeah,
you know, live theater. It makes it.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Maybe you know the answer to this question. I don't
want to put you on the spot, but I was
talking to our friend Danielle Monaro down the hall about
an hour ago, and she said, there's one show not
affected by the musicians struct.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, Ragtime, Ragtime. Why uh, because I believe they're at
Lincoln Center and it's a different like it's not the
Broadway League. It's it's somebody more than I do. Okay, okay, yeah,
that's my very non technical answer. But yes, brag Time
won't be affected.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Rag Time would go on.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Ragtime would go on. That's it interesting because it's not
it's not Broadway League. It's like different produce something to
that effect.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
But again than I could.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, but everybody else so, and I know people, you know,
even if you're not coming with us tonight, you're waiting
to make your plans. Are you coming in to see
a show? There's tourists here. Everybody's kind of waiting for work.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And if you have tickets for a show tonight, as
of now, it's a go. But we'll keep you posted.
