Speaker 1 (00:00):
New York's Christmas station one of six point seven LIGHTFM
with Kubby and Christine in the morning. Producer Christen hanging
out producing our show. I gotta tell you We've talked
about this many times, but I want to bring it
up again because maybe you're new to our show and
you haven't heard this. But Christine, your birthday is the
day after Christmas, December twenty six. We've talked about that.
Producer Kristen is the twenty ninth. For those that haven't

(00:21):
heard your take on what it's like having a birthday
the day after Christmas. You've lived with it your whole life. Yes,
you're used to it now, but I am you feel
forgotten about?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Well yeah, well like every T number.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Twenty, I'm going to speak on behalf of producer Kristen
and myself. We both kind of feel like we have
no expectations any longer. We just this has been it
our whole lives. I think when we were little, our
parents tried a couple of parties. Kids didn't show up
because they weren't around. So after a while it was like, Okay,
we're not going to do that. And even as an adult, Cubby,

(00:55):
I'm trying to get like a couple of friends together,
just like let's go to a restaurant. You can't get
people together. They're tired. It's the day after Christmas. Nobody
wants to do anything.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
You totally understand that, but it stands the same time.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
But I have to be understanding every year. And yeah,
and I am.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
Back when you were like in elementary school, you never
got cupcakes because school was out, Like I think about
that for people that were born in like July or August, like,
they've never had a school birthday party, so you never
had a school birthday party.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
They usually don't have a work birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Party, right because we're on vacation.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
No offense, but so that never happens. I have a
little science behind me because there's there's studies about this. Seriously,
I'm sure you read all these studies. Oh I saw
this this morning. I saw December birthday blues. I was like,
let me read this. Study shows just how much we
miss out. The average person not born in December gets

(01:51):
around six gifts on their birthday. Those born in December
far less. The worst thing you can do, honestly is
give the combo present, Like just don't bother that's terrible, right,
like just pick one or the other. But like say
this is a combination gifts birthday. I'll remember that come May.
And for for most of our December, part of December

(02:15):
is Sagittarius. But now we're we're flipping over to Capricorn.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
So like this week, right, if not today.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, we're we're on the cusp. We're almost there. So
I'm Capricorn. Producer Kristen's Capricorn. We are the most rare
zodiac sign, and we have the least common birthdays Christmas Eve, Christmas,
New Year's Day, the least amount of babies born. Uh,
those are all Capricorns. So even if we feel a

(02:41):
little ignored around our birthdays, we have to remember Producer
Kristin that we're very unique. That was that was the
positive spin. You may get cheated out of gifts, but
you are very special, so you're important.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
It makes you feel better. It's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, you know what other birthdays kind of stink?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
I know my sister in law is New Year's Day.

Speaker 3 (03:05):
Yeah, that's that's right in there.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
You mentioned that, right, Yeah, what other I guess February
twenty ninth is kind of cool.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, but stinks. At the same time, you'll, you know,
still celebrate it. Yeah, a lot of people just in
winter birthdays kind of complain about their birthdays. Yeah they're
not good ones, hard for people to get together. But
I'm sorry. We take the cake right here, Okay, yes,
right around Christmas we get we get the biggest complaint,

(03:33):
the biggest whaf.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I will say, we're doing our morning show gift exchange
later in the in the day.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yes, and I have both birthday presents and Christmas presents
for both of you. And thank you to my lovely
wife Coco for helping me and steering me in the
right direction too.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
So you guys are incredibly thoughtful. Thank you.
