Crazy First Date: "He Asked Me To Go Back So He Could Take A Nap!"

Rita called in with her "Crazy First Date" story and how her date needed a nap to continue their night.

It is a little love in mine.

It's Cobby and Christine's crazy first date.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Cobby, we have rita on the phone, and rita, when
did your crazy first date happen?

Speaker 4 (00:10):
Boy, it happened way back in nineteen seventy two.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Whoa, this is a vintage one.

Speaker 5 (00:15):
Okay, yes, yeah, certainly. I met him for the first time.
We met at a little restaurant. He was very tired
because he had worked the whole day. He asked me
if I would go home with him and he could
take a little nap before we went on the date.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
So I did.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
And I really liked his car, so I while he
was sleeping, I took his car and I went and
met a few of my friends and we went out
partying for a few hours.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
And then I went back to his house and we
went out on our date.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Oh wow, okay, and how did you guys meet? Did
somebody set you up? How did this even happen? No?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
I met him at a grocery store the old fashioned way.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Yeah, but after a couple of dates, that was it.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Oh you mean you guys aren't married?

Speaker 4 (01:03):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Oh, I thought it was gonna be.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
When they bring up a date from nineteen seventy two.
I think for sure, if they remember it, they're probably married.
But no, not the case, No.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Unfortunately not.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Oh why was he so tired?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Had he been working all day? Or what was this?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Worked all day?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
And he said he hoped I didn't mind if he
too went home and took a little nap.

Speaker 4 (01:26):
And I really liked this car. He had a souped
up car and.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
It was an old well in nineteen seventy two, it
was a soup dump Camaro.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
So you like the car better than him?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I think, yes, certainly did knew the year?

Speaker 2 (01:40):
It was a seventy two?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Really a crazy date, but I thought it was crazy.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
