Crazy First Date: "He Left With My Keys!"

Kerry called in with her "Crazy First Date" and how her date ghosted her but took her keys with him!

Speaker 1 (00:02):
It's Covey and Gussine's crazy first date. All right, good morning, Carrie.
Why don't you start at the beginning. Tell us how
this started? All.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Oh, we met online and we talked for a long
time before we were going to meet up, and we
decided to meet at a brewery. And he was really
good looking. And the only thing that was weird is
that he didn't put that he smoked on his profile,
and that's a big smoker. Yeah, So I was like, oh,

(00:32):
is this going to work out? Well, we were drinking
and he's like, where else do you want to go?
And I'm like, well, there's another brewery just around the corner.
So we went to another brewery and got really intoxicated,
which is probably not good on a first date. And
we came back Yeah, and then we came back to
my house.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yeah, cause see that's what happens when you drink too much.
You go back to your house. Now you've got a
smoker in the house. Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well he did smoke in here. He wanted to smoke
out side while I live in a secure building, so
I gave him my keys so he could get back in.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
And literally the guy dipped out on me with your keys. Yep,
with my keys, and so I go out there, his
car's not there. An hour and a half of me
trying to text him and call him and no response.
My friends are like, you're going to have to call
the cops. So I had to call the cops. And
he's like, did you have a big fight? It was

(01:27):
so embarrassing. I'm like no. And finally she gets a
hold of him and he's like, dude, this is a
misdemeanor if you still have her keys. And then he
hangs up and I'm like what happened? And he said
he left him on your doorstop. I'm like, no, they're
not there. The police officer was like, let's walk around
the whole building, and he left them the floor below me.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Oh so he was really kind of like ghosting you,
but thought he was giving your keys back, and he
picked the wrong place. Well, we circled back. You were
both drunk, so he didn't even know what apartment he had.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Just left exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I don't know if producer Christian's thinking of this, but
I gotta ask, did you change the locks? You know.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
It's funny because people are like, maybe he's got to
copy your key and I never thought that, and it never.
He never came back.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
So yeah, I mean you hung out with him, you
knew whether or not he was a dangerous person.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, he didn't seem dangerous. He just seemed drunk.
