Crazy First Date: "Her Parents Were On The Date!"

Brett called in with his "Crazy First Date" story and how his date's parents showed up and ate dinner with them!

seven Light FM. We've got Brett on the phone with
a crazy first date. Brett, start us from the beginning.
How did this crazy first date start out?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Well, the first date started out with going to dinner.
We decided to do like maybe like an appetizer drink
sort of thing. So it really wasn't with a full
on dinner because we met a little bit earlier in
the day. But as we're walking up to the restaurant,
my date tells me, oh, by the way, uh, my

parents are here meeting us.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Whoa, that's so rather quick.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, And I was really taken by surprise by the
whole thing. And I remember stopping dead in my tracks
and I just looked at her and I said, are
you serious? Because I thought she was kidding, but she
was very serious.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Did they pay.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
No, I think we we we kind of split.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
All right, that's not too bad. At least you get
stuck that Now, why did how are the parents on this?
I mean, this is the first time you met this woman.
You don't even really know her that well?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Right? No? Yeah, we met online and we talked, and
I think, honestly, in her defense, she's she was so
busy that you know, this was I think she was
just trying to kill two birds with one stone.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
So so what happened? So you're you're you're sitting there
with her and her parents. What's the conversation? Like?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Oh, it's very awkward. It was super awkward, like very
difficult sort of conversation. They're asking me a lot of questions,
and I'm just sort of analyzing the whole situation, and
I'm sure I quite they could totally read on my
face that I was just not comfortable already.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Did you see her again?

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Or actually, yeah, we did, I mean a couple of times,
but it just, honestly, her schedule just became too big
of an issue, right.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
So that like the second date or third day? Was
that like brothers and sisters were invited or other people
or no?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
So I asked her. I specifically said, I was like, Hey,
can we just go out on a date just me
and you? All Right?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Well, that sounds like it was pretty crazy, and we
