Cubby Experienced A BIG Buffet Over The Weekend

On Monday, July seventh. I'm kubby. I've been full since

Independence Day. Right around six o'clock at night. One of
six pointy seven Light FM Cubby Christine producer Kristen. You
know what the highlight of my weekend was a buffet.
I went to a buffet. You know, our getaway home
in Pennsylvania. So we had some friends come over. We
had our friends Mike and Melissa, and they have two kids,
Nixon and Nolan. So they came to our house for
the weekend, did the whole Fourth of July celebration all that,

and they're like, have you ever been to Shady Maple.
It's a big smorgas board And I'm like, we've heard
about it, haven't been. We're like, let's go. And it
seats twelve hundred people. It's right outside Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Twenty
nine bucks all you can eat, twenty nine bucks for
adults for each adult, and I think kids up to three.
I think it's like nine bucks or something like that.

And dude, I just kept going back in bat I
had three desserts in front of me, I had like
meet in front of me. I had like corn around me.
It was just it was just a dreamy, dreamy day,
like they.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Had every thing.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I imagine they had everything, Christine. I mean, I really
want to see like a YouTube documentary about behind the
scenes at this buffet, because I don't know how they
keep flipping things over because there's always, you know, new
stuff coming out and they're taking old stuff out. And
if you've ever heard of the Shady Maple, give us
a text. I'm just curious because I just discovered it
and this thing is like a tourist attraction.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Did you have to roll out? Do they roll you
out of there?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Because my wife dragged me with my two ankles. Yeah,
and I was on my back and she just dressed
while he was eating his chocolate cake.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Hold.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
But at one point I actually said, is there a
time limit here? Because I've been there like an hour
and a half, and I'm like, we are. When you
go to a buffet, don't you want to win? Like
you want to make sure you eat at least twenty
nine dollars with a food?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Yes, you go to a buffet and you do feel like, Okay,
if I spent that much, I need to eat that much. Yeah,
but it's it sounds like you did I did. I did.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I've been fasting ever since. Kristin. Did the kids see
fireworks or no?

Speaker 2 (01:59):
No, but we heard them in our backyard, which kept
my daughter up till midnight on Friday. But that's okay.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
We had a good weekend.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
We spent a lot of time in the pool and
outside and it was fun.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, it's funny our kids. I'm not sure they like
fireworks because in Italy we went to a big fireworks
show and it scared Miles and Eli me kind of
liked it, but we brought it up to him. Do
you want to see fireworks over the weekend? He said no, okay,
so we didn't like try to go somewhere. But our
neighbors in Pennsylvania were actually shooting off fireworks and there

was a pretty good show, not like small fireworks, really good.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
So they actually looked out the window and the banging
wasn't as loud as being outside, so they were kind
of into.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
That safe safe.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
And Eric worked a wedding on the fourth of July. Billy, Yeah,
we've talked about this on the show, right about holiday weddings.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, drummer fiance In case you don't know, does he
get extra money for that. It's a holiday fee. I
don't think he does being in a band on a holiday.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
They should have charged more. I'm sure they did. Wait,
you guys, you needs to be his Spanish. I don't
think he did. But what I love is that I
get to coach him when he does these things, because
the list is like Chapel Roane, Taylor Swift and it's like,
oh oh, and I'll tell him. I'm like, this is
the part they're all going to sing along. And then
I checked back with him. He's like, we killed it.
