Cubby Is Concerned By The Social Media Ads He's Been Getting

All right, the ads I'm getting on Facebook and other

social media platforms, it's downright scary. It's one of six
point seven light of m Cubby, Christine's back, prus of
Christen's here. So something has been happening this week, and
I want to know if this has happened to you, Christine. Okay,
so you know how we're convinced our phone listens to us.
And when you search for things on the web, you know,
then you'll show up in your feed on Facebook. You know,
if you're looking to travel a lot, then you'll get airplanes. Yeah,

all that kind of stuff. Well, so my knee has
been hurting me in the last week. Not a big deal.
I haven't even said anything to my wife. It's not
that bad. But when I get up in the morning,
I don't know how I did. It's probably just getting old,
but I get up my knee iss hurts.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
And I have not told anybody. I have not gone
to chat GPT, I haven't searched anything, nothing. And then
all of a sudden, I'm scrolling through Instagram and some
ad pops up for a thing that goes on your
knee to like massage it. Do you have knee problems.
You need this now. Now it's like I'm this.

Wait a minute, and it's showing up. So it's only
been in your head.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
It's only been in my head for maybe what's today Wednesday.
I noticed it late last week. Didn't even say anything
to my wife. It's not a big deal. But when
I get up from the couch, I'm like, oh, it's
just the right knee.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Pa. Do you think did you ever get up and go, oh,
my knee?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
You know what? Possibly I didn't think of that.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Houch my knee. Maybe the phone phone went somebody's got
a knee problem. We can sell them stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
You know. I can't remember that because it's very like
a one quick mind.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
But maybe I did, because otherwise it's in your head.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Well that's the thing. It was in my head, and
now it's showing up. It adds like it's just like
a new level of telemarketing, or not telemarketing, but target marketing.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
It knows what you're thinking. I know, honest, but that's bizarre.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
But stuff shows up for you all the time right
on like other platforms.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Well yes, but because like you said, I looked something
up or I searched it, and a lot of times
we just talked about it and it shows up, but
it never pulled anything from my head. Not yet.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
If you go on like Facebook, what kind of ads
pop up for you?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Oh? I well, right now, I've got a lot of
travel stuff because of just getting back from Germany. Right
so i have a lot of you know, beautiful ads
for the Christmas markets and for travel and for airlines.
I'm very happy with Luftanza, seeing Luftanza, like you know,

I'm just on Facebook right now, scrolling through and I'm
seeing random ads but nothing about the knee. But I
know I will get one. But anyway, if this is
happening to you, where what.

Do you have? It's just showing me like traveling. Here's
like a little mirror, the fancy mirror that you can order,
like my thing is all about getting ready to travel
right now, right right, Well, it knows I took it time.

I'm convinced if you're thanking it some now somehow the
phone knows. Now it's more than just talking and typing.
It's now like an Oz Pearlman, that that famous guy
that reads people's minds.
