Speaker 1 (00:00):
Six o seven. Good morning, we got cubby Christine produce
a Christen on LIGHTFM, and thank you for coming along
for the ride on this day before Halloween, Thursday, October
thirtieth National Candy Corn Day. Oh and Kristin, you had
a bag of candy corn you said you were going
to bring in and you forgot it.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah. Sorry, It's sitting on my dining room table right now.
So I had to do a quick text to the
hubby and say put that away before they can see.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
It, please.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
And we were talking yesterday, and if you were listening
at this point yesterday, you might not have heard this,
but you eat candy corn one color at a time, right, Christine.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, which I know sounded strange to both of you. Possibly,
But there's like little candy corn stats today, and about
twenty eight percent of us bite off the white tip first, for.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Those that like candy corn, by the way, because some
people are gonna say, well, I don't even like candy corn,
but if you do like candy corn, like we all
do in the room, by the way, yeah, don't wait.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Yeah, now, fifteen percent bite off the yellow tip right
the first, opposed to the way I think I do
the yellow. Actually do the yellow work my way?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay? And is there a taste difference by the way, No?
Speaker 3 (01:06):
No, so then then I give up and just eat them.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Yeah, did you buy any candy yesterday? I know you're
out shopping.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
I did.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Christine got like recognized yesterday.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
It was it was so nice. So yes, can we
say good morning to Jerry Vidello.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Jerry.
Speaker 3 (01:21):
Jerry is from Belleville, New Jersey, and he covey has
been with us in the mornings for years. Like he
gets up at six o'clock in the morning, listens until
seven am, works hard, goes to work every single day.
He's on vacation this week. But we met yesterday in
Shopwright and he said, I'm gonna wake up early to
hear you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Say he's off today. He should be sleeping in.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yes, he said, I'm gonna listen, so listen tomorrow and
I'll listen on Friday too. So Jerry, thank you. It
was such a pleasure to meet him yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah, you sent me a fun video of him in
the aisle going hi Covey. Yeah, big fan of the show,
and yeah, you knew everything about us.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh it was. He's just lovely and and he recognized Eric.
Eric was with me, recognized Eric for him Instagram and Facebook,
and he said, if there's a blonde next to him,
He goes, I'm sure enough, there you were. There's the
blonde hall. So we were picking out our Halloween candy.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
That's awesome.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I hope that we have enough.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, I get that. Are you kind of nervous about it?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I am a little nervous because I had, you know,
the big jumbo bags. Kristen, did you get one of
those where it's like eighty pieces?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yeah, how many of those did you get?
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I only got one. Mine's one hundred and sixty five pieces.
But we put it in a bowl and we leave
it on our steps that we're going to.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Do this year.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
That's just what we do.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
But you know, some kid takes the first I know,
takes it all.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
We're not home and I want to leave something.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
We'll leave an empty bucket and just say take all
the candy you want and they won't know that, Like
they're not going to know they got there. Yeah, they
could be the first kid there, but there's a sign
saying take all you want. It's empty. They don't know
that they're the first kid they're the last kid. But
I got tons of candy. Last night we took Naomi
and Miles to a trunk or treat. I was inside
of school.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
We went to East Brunswick High School and you pay
five dollars to get in. It all goes to the
school and you walk through the hallways and you go
in different rooms and they can color skeletons, paint pumpkins.
It was awesome.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
That's really cool.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, and did you get a good haul of candy?
Speaker 1 (03:16):
A ton of candy? In fact, I could bring something
to you.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
I'm just gonna say, actually, just they won't know. Just
take it from them and then you put that outside.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah that's true, and then Miles is gonna beat me
up right exactly, and.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Miles will love that. They'll look outside and go, wait,
that's familiar.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, all right, we'll hit us up on text four
four three six three. What are you up doing? Are
you ready for Halloween? We're here for you. It's light FM.
More Cobby and Christine next.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
