Do You Guilt Tip?

The other day I went and got a to go
order from a restaurant, okay, and I know, I ordered
through the bartender and then somebody made the meal and
then brought it out and she gave me the bag

and had the tip thing in front. Yeah, oh oh yeah,
Now I felt guilty. Yeah, I didn't put anything in there.
I'm out of there.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
That's a tough call.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Are you supposed to tip when you guilt tipping? Are
you supposed to tip when someone just.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Brings you the bag?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
I don't think so.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Well, you order takeout and you go pick it up
and it's just like them, you know, the hostess at
the front.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
That's so tough.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
That's a tough call.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I mean, I don't.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I've bought coffee and if it's if they grind it
for me, I'll tip if I'm just buying the bag
and she's bringing me up.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Really, if they're really guilt tip all the time, I
feel bad about.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Why why if you're working.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I go in a restaurant in the restaurant's empty, I
feel bad.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
If I go in the restaurant and the restaurant's really
full and they're working hard, I feel bad.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Here's what I send coupons for your place? What send her?
Send you coupons and then you'll show up and tips.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Oh, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
I always also on the door. Also if they see
you hitting the ten percent or the five percent of
the twenty. I don't like it when it's like forty
percent on the thing right.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
The other day? Are you paying?

Speaker 3 (01:32):
But you know when it has like fifteen twenty twenty five,
I think you do other if they're watching you.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
If they're watching you, I tip. That's the other thing.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I think it depends on the circumstances. If you're in
a restaurant, that's a different story. You're sitting down, you're eating,
you don't tip. Rude, don't do that. But if you're
going to Starbucks and you're ordering a coffee and I'm
paying with my card anyway, like.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
No, I'm hitting no t you're hitting no tick. If
I have a couple of dollars in cash, though, I
might put something in the jar if it want they
give you like twenty five sense change.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Yeah, I don't want to change.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
I have to say I'm going to give a shout
out to the deli downstairs, which is the what's a
stage star deli? Yeah, they don't they don't have the
tip thing. They're the one place you can go and
they don't have the tip thing.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
So you don't have just that guilty and guilt you
and well, if I have change, I'll tip. But if
I don't have change, I don't.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
It's like the old days, which old days like six
years ago, where there was no thing in front of
you to ask you to give another twenty percent.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I think the worst was was I was trying to
pay hit yes, yes, she goes, No, you got to
choose a tip. So now she's pointing out and I
have to make a decision that would annoy me.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Was there a no tip option?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, but now she helped me.

What do I do as actually tipping?
