First Day Of Summer

at least first day of summer.

Speaker 2 (00:09):

Yeah, well it feels comfortable. It's going to be a
heat wave coming.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It did seems very friday when you came in. It
did occur to me, maybe you're on a boat later.
I'm going to be.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Doing something later and it's not going to be work related.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Today is the first day of summer, the longest day
of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Sunset tonight is
eight thirty one pm, which is fantastic. It's already bright outside. Oh.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
She would stay that way for like a few weeks, right,
and then start to get short.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
It starts getting short immediately.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
It's depressive.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It's very sad by the time we get to December.
But today is the shortest day in the Southern Hemisphere.
So think about that.

It's a weird thought, isn't it.

But why does that freak you out? Like I don't
say it's winter time now in Australia because.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
June, July, August, for us in summer. I can't picture
it any other way. And like like you mentioned off
the year Christmas for that is in the summertime.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yes, why hurts my head. I don't know why, because
you never see pictures of Santa in short, that's true,
and I'm sure he has them when he goes down there.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Sure. So I'm trying to do the math in my
head and this is so basic. I feel really not
smart trying to figure this out. But my brother in
law's Australian. He just went home for three weeks. They
live in Brisbane because it's it's winter there or it's fall, right,
they're coming into fall? Is that what they would be
right now?

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I believe today is the winter solstice?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Ye? Yeah, oh yeah, this is their December twenty first,
so they're heading into winter.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yes, right, short days?
