Speaker 1 (00:00):
One six point seven Light FM. Welcome to a brand
new day, Happy Thursday, Cubby Christine, producer Christen. We're still employed.
There are a lot of big wigs walking around yesterday.
I was a little nervous for a hot minute.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yet, No, I don't know what they were discussing.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Big were oquy.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
It was behind closed doors.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Shoot walking by yesterday, man oh man, big wigs. Yes,
but here we are another day, another dollar as they say,
why you're looking at me?
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Funny christ No, I'm good, no comment, No, I.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Feel bad Christine for producer Kristen.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
I know he had a rough night a little bit. Yes,
as a mom.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Your son threw up all night pretty much.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah, he was complaining of sharp pains in his stomach
yesterday and we weren't sure what it was, and we
called the doctor. They gave us some advice and you know,
said if it continues, you know, throughout the night and
into the morning, you know, bring him in. But he
got a little sick last night, so we were up
with him. I felt really bad, but mamma needs coffee, yeah,
which just showed up at my desk. By the way, Trevor,
(01:02):
who you know, he's a producer at one of the
other stations here. I was like, man, I really need
a good cup of coffee. And five minutes later he's like,
I don't know if I did this right, but here
you go. I was like, that was the sweetest thing
ever heard, very nice.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
So it was a shame. Well that's something I should
have done, right, Christie.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I mean, did you say it in front of Cubby too?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Were you there?
Speaker 2 (01:21):
No? I wasn't there, so you know you're in the sir.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
All right, all right, Yeah that's a nice yeah. And
what else is going on? It's misty out. It feels
like Seattle as we talked about.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Yeah, you kind of like I had a light jacket.
I put the hood up just to walk by because
it was the rain was going sideways kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, that misty side yea yeah yeah, but you know what,
I'm kind of feeling the fall.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
You like it.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I'm feeling the fall. I like it, And didn't Duncan
put out their pumpkins spice or something they did.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
I think it's it's released out already.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I think it came out yesterday.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Okay, I'll go today. Yeah, it's my assignment.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Fall is in the air and We're coming right back
with three pretty cool things. Thank you for making us
a part of this early Thursday morning.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at them.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
It's three pretty cool things.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
You need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
I thought this was pretty cool. Fifteen years ago this month,
August twenty ten, the five billionth device was connected to
the Internet.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
My goodness.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Wow, and it was probably a smartphone. But as of
this month, there are twenty seven billion devices connected to
the Internet, from smartphones to TVs, medical devices, even automobiles.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
There are twenty seven billion devices connected to the Internet,
compared to five billion just fifteen years ago. Wow, more
bandwidth please.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah, this is our lives.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yeah, what's your cool thing? Christy?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
I have a little history for you about the beloved Twinkie.
The Twinkies started back in nineteen thirty and they were
originally filled with strawberry cream and it was fresh strawberries
at the time, so they only had them seasonally, So
your twinkies were really fresh, like malamars, kind of like that, Yeah,
you've got strawberries. And then what happened was the strawberries
(03:09):
were not always available so they said, let's stick some
bananas in there, so then you were getting fresh banana cream.
But during World War Two, bananas were in short supply,
so Twinkies went, now, what do we do? They put
vanilla cream in, which is what we're used to at
this time. It's just that it was a different recipe
at that time. Okay, But thanks to Amazon, you can
(03:30):
now get banana twinkies once again. So Hostess is making them,
but they're only available on Amazon right now. And then
our regular Twinkies are in the stores now.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
When you woke up this morning, folks, did you think
you would learned about twinkies at six twenty six in
the morning. I didn't, and I really enjoyed that.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Take that with you throughout the day.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yes, all right, Christian, what do you have something cool
for millennials? The full cast of Dawson's Creek is going
to reunite for the first time since the series concluded
in two two thousand and three. It's been that long.
Hard to believe, I know, right, So on September twenty second,
the cast will gather at the Richard Rogers Theater right
here in New York City for a live reading of
the show's nineteen ninety eight pilot episode. And yes, when
(04:13):
I say the cast is going to be there, that
includes James Vanderbeek, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
This would be so cool. It's a great no.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
So the events in support of James Vanderbeek and his
cancer journey. Proceeds are going to go to cancer research
and tickets will be available through Broadway Direct starting tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Wow do I have to play? I don't want to wait?
By Paula Cole next?
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
I should have had it up already.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Light FM more Covey and Christine and the great music
variety you expect next on light FM.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
All right, if you're a flight attendant, I want you
to listen to this because I'd love to get your
opinion if you think this is accurate or not, and
you can text us at four four three six three.
By the way, we're Covey and Christine a little the
morning show here on LIGHTFM, and we have myths about
flight attendants. Lots of people make assumptions about flight attendants,
from thinking they have a glamorous jet setting live to
(05:09):
writing them off as quote servers in the sky. But
that's not the case, Christine. You have the nine myths
about flight attendants that they say are downright and salted.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yes, they would like.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Us to know clear the air here.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Well, first off, their main role is not food and
beverage service. Their main role is to keep us safe
while we're in the skies.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Which they mentioned a lot during the safety announcements they
do these days. They'll say, we're here primarily for your safety, right,
so they.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Pay attention when they are talking to us. Flight attendants
hate passengers, they say, no, come on. They likely aren't
fond of rude, impatient, or entitled passengers, but they love people,
which led them to this job. It's a people job, right,
So if.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
You ever hear flight attendants hate passengers, that's not true.
That is a myth.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
This is one big glamorous holiday.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
No.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Unfortunately, they say they aren't making money unless they're working,
so there's a little time between shifts for sight seeing
or parties. And if they aren't on the plane, they're
probably sleeping and getting ready for the next shift.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
All right. What about the myth about flight attendants can
upgrade your seat, Christine, Well, it's here. It's always helpful.
To be polite to your flight attendants, but upgrades are
handed at the gate or handled at the gate. Yeah,
so don't think that a fly attendant can upgrade your seat.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's not going to stop people front trying.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
But christ yeah I did know that because I've seen
it happen.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Because sometimes I think some people see you ever see
people get upgraded when they're on the plane sitting in
their seat, Yes, and the flight attendant will go over
them and go come over here and grab your luggage
right right. A lot of people think the flight attendant
might be doing that that call, but no, they got
the call from the gate right to go find Joe
blow in fourteen A, bring him to two B.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
They're just the middleman.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yep, yep.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Flight attendants are flirting with you when they're being friendly,
and it simply says just get over yourself.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Just know some people think that if they're being nice, oh,
they're flirting with me.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I feel like that happens like hairdressers. That helpens to
you know, servers and restaurants. A lot of people. You're
just doing your job and being friendly and some of
the things are flirting that they're only working when the
plane is in the air, so not true. They report
to work, I mean from the moment they get to
the airport until they're released from that flight. They are
paid only for the time they were in the air though,
(07:24):
right Like when you see them around the airport, they're
basically on the clock.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
And when they're frustrated on the plane and you're on
the tarmac waiting to take off, you're frustrated. They're frustrated
too because they're not working yet.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Oh boy, I think they're losing a lot of time.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Until they take off, until the wheels are up four four.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Three, six three give us a tech flight attendant still
us no, And that it's easy to become a flight attendant. No.
Training is rigorous, highly competitive, and can last several weeks.
Some airlines only accept two percent of the applicants. That
flight attendants love to party and have a lover in
every city. That's yeah. The transient nature of the job
(08:04):
makes it difficult to maintain any relationship, and once you've
been released after a long flight, usually want to connect
with your peers for a nice dinner and drink. And
finally that it's a safe, cushy job. It's actually physically demanding.
The responsibility for the safety of others is very intense.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
All right, let's hear from the flight attendants four four,
three six three. We know you do a lot of
hard work, and we appreciate you more.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
Next on, light at them.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
One to six points. Haven't light at them Covey, Christine
producer Kristin. We love New York City, but apparently Nashville's
number one. Uh huh, and like the city people want
to live in.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Yes, Americans were asked where do you want to live?
What's the ideal city? Nashville and Tampa tied for number one.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
Now, I don't want to put you on the spot,
but does a breakdown? Why is it because just the
excitement of the town or does does money come into play?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Like taxes, really good weather, low crime, low cost of living,
just desirable. I mean Nashville is it is a lot
of fun. Yeah, it's a fun city.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
It's like a Las Vegas for the East side.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It kind of come. It reminds me a lot of
Vegas when you go there. Now, because there's so many
bachelorette parties going through, there's you know, a lot of
people are going there, and for us it's easy.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
You know, brette parts.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
They're on those yes, yes, they're always a little shaped differently.
Do you know, do you know those bikes like they
everybody's got a pedal, like you know, there's ten on
each side. Yeah, and they're going through town. Yeah, yep,
that's Nashville.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
People want to live in Nashville.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Including Eric my Man. He's been wanting to move to
Nashville forever, but because he's a musician, it's a great
town for him.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
He works.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
They're like crazy, so maybe someday will end up there.
But if you're curious. Top ten cities Americans most want
to live in Nashville Tampa number one. Seattle came in second.
I like this one. San Diego because I love the weather.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
I look, San Diego is perfect and literally perfect every day, sunny, seventy.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Five, beautiful.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
But the cost of living is just as high as
New York.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
All you can afford it, okay. Denver comes in fifth,
followed by Charlotte that's a great town. Boston again expensive,
or Orlando. We know why. I look at producer Kristin.
Let's get close to Disney.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Well, that's probably why Tampa does pretty good too.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
Oh yeah, being near Orlando, that's true, Tampas.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
I mean Tampa pretty but an hour away from Orlando
and Disney.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
World and all beautiful beaches you can drive to everything.
Rawling North Carolina at number nine and finally at number ten,
New York City.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Okay. By the way, John from Basement Surge texting me.
He does a podcast called The Basement Surge, and he said, Cubby,
why did you do the weather for Seattle? And again,
you were doing a story about how Seattle it doesn't
rain as much as we think in Seattle.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Right, people think Seattle, they think whether like we're having today,
but actually we have more rain here than they do there.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Right. So after you did that particular story, I came
out and I went, well, your Seattle weather here in
New York today is blah blah blah blah. And someone, well,
John said I did the weather for Seattle. I just
wanted to get that off my chest.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
It was out of context, John.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
Yes, right, yeah, all right, John, I'm coming for you. John.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
We love you.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
I want to give out his cell phone number. What
is his cell phone number? No?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I kidding more.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
Next on Light at Them.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Gobby Christine, producer Kristen. And the weather feels like kind
of late September, early October. It is indeed August twenty first,
but it's sixty degrees kind of misty out. It feels
like fall.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
It feels like fall, and we have to plan for fall.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Well, let's plan right now.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Okay, I know you love this stuff, Covey, I get
excited about this.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Ge go yay.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Fall trends from Pinterest. Here we go fashion and design.
Are you ready?
Speaker 1 (11:47):
So ready?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
This is what people are searching for and they're pinning
on Pinterest. So we have an idea where we're going
for the fall. First of all, second hand finds are
in demand. Kitchen, thrifted, day core, yes, kitchen.
Speaker 1 (12:02):
Okay, we're not talking just close here.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
We're talking anything we can get our hands on. Also,
things are very expensive right now, so this is a
big way to go and you can find some great
great stuff. Statement tiles are having a moment, So the
search for vintage tiles, like special ones that you would
put in the kitchen or around the house. You're not
you're not painting coffee on the wall anymore. Right, that
(12:25):
stuff is done. But the tiles. I am so excited excited.
Art deco is back.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Art deco that's like the seventies or sixties. Our deco.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Okay, can we have a moment. Our deco is the
nineteen twenties that was way off. You were way off.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Didn't come back after the twenties.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
This is why I love you, but you are not
an interior designer.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
I'm googling.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
Love because you know I love like old Hollywood. Yeah,
like you know that cubby leghums. That's what that is.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
And Christine's right. Our deco most popular during the nineteen
twenties and nineteen thirties.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
Thank you, sir.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
It's peak influence, spanning from twenty five to forty nineteen
twenty five to nineteen forty.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yes, it's back. Searches are up for that. Also plans
to bake this season on a small scale. We want
many dessert ideas, many mini cheesecakes, everything small, so we
can have small bites. At least we can't have something. Yeah.
So when it comes to clothing, preppy is a hot
turn all the fall. No, you and me both, i'molo
(13:28):
sure and yeah, miss I'm the no with the Preppe.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
Listen, when I was in high school, you wore two
polos and then you pop your collar.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Yeah, we can't bring that.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
Don't do that.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Did you ever roll up the bottom of your jeans?
Of course in your high top rebox.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Preppe chic outfits the searches on for that. We're going
to be seeing more patchwork pieces and polka dots on
everything from clothing to nails. I know, just happening, I know.
But this part for beauty, grungey glam is back. Think
of the nineties, early two thousand.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I love that cool.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I love it. Yeah, so we'll be seeing also pixie
cut cuts, chic pixie and pixie haircuts from the nineties.
Really yeah, very in that little bob Last thing. Where
are we going to travel in the fall? Destinations are
now Switzerland countryside and England countryside cottage like the cutswolds Man.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
When it comes to fall, it's more than just clothing,
it's pretty much everything that's going to happen with much.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
To think about.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Yeah, a lot of this is really cool. I like
a lot of it.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
I love it. I love art deco. By the way,
for a DJ name, Yeah, hia'mar deco with three hours
commercial free kicking off at eight twenty.
Speaker 4 (14:38):
Sounds good light, more Cubby and Christine and the great
music variety you expect next on Light FM.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
With Cubby and Christine in the morning. You know, Christine
here in the Backstreet Boys has got me thinking about
our girl producer Christen. Yeah, what lengths have you gone
to to buy tickets for your favorite artists? Because the
struggle is real? With producer Kristin, all she wants to
do is check out BSB. It's fear in Las Vegas.
And they announced more dates. This was a couple of
(15:06):
days ago. They announced they were going to do more
dates after Christmas, correct, right.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Around New Year's Yeah, in between and.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
You ran home. You drove home very fast. Yes, And
you've got to your computer by noon on tuesdays before
that before that, Yes, and you were trying to buy tickets?
And what number were you at in the queue on
the computer?
Speaker 3 (15:26):
I had forty nine thousand people in front of me.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
But you eventually got through.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I eventually got through about an hour and a half later.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
And when you got through, what does that entail?
Speaker 3 (15:35):
You can choose your tickets? So when I got in.
Guess what happened?
Speaker 1 (15:39):
What?
Speaker 3 (15:39):
Nothing? No tickets, No tickets.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
So you get excited for a minute, like you're like,
I'm in right, and then you select tickets and then
what happens is says no, not available.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Everything was gray and it said no tickets available, even
for one. I even put like one ticket. Obviously I'm
trying to buy more, but yeah, nothing. Now this was
a fan club pre sale, so one how are there
forty nine thousand people in front of me? I don't know,
but yeah, nothing an hour and a half.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Christine, and I remember the days of going to the
ticketmaster location or making the phone call.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
The phone call, it would be standing by on the phone.
But you, I uh, I remember the day just a
few years ago, Covey, when you and Coco were helping
me get Paul McCartney tickets.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Oh, because you didn't have like an Amex or something. Yeah,
I had an Amex.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Car presell for AMEX, So you got to experience this firsthand.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
That was the first time. Yeah, like two thousand people
ahead of me and I'm like, do I wait, how
fast does this go?
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:34):
And it does kind of go down quickly.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
You guys were good. You helped me. We got tickets,
but then I went through an experience similar to Kristen's
when I was trying to get Taylor Swift tickets, which
everybody knows about. I don't know. It's like it's rigged.
How were there forty nine thousand people? Somebody is working
the system no matter what.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Well, you're dealing with a whole nationwide thing, right, because
I bet you there's people in Chicago that are trying
to buy, like say, for example, MetLife because they know
if they get them, they'll buy the ticket. That's what
I'm guessing.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
I don't know for sure, right, forty nine thousand legit
people or people who were just getting on there to go, oh,
resell them. Oh that's correct, that's what That's what's frustrating, is.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Like the scalpers are on.
Speaker 2 (17:12):
We're really fans, right, we really want to go. Kristen
sat there for an hour and a half when it
was Taylor and they first went on sale. My niece
was working from her house. I was working from home.
We both sat on her computer's same deal for like
an hour, hour and a half, and just when I
was close, I got bumped out. Oh yeah, so I
got close my niece got tickets. They were the furthest
(17:33):
the way you could possibly be, but we got into
the stadium at least. This was in Philadelphia. And then
when she came around again for Met Life, I caved.
I wanted to see her really badly and we wanted
to sit close and I paid the money that the
scalpers or secondhand market, whatever you want to call it.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
You know, it's crazy. If you told me in nineteen
eighty that one day you'll be able to buy tickets
from your couch on a computer, you would think, Oh,
that's going to be easy, right, Oh, that's going to
solve a lot of things, isn't it. It's actually harder.
I want to go back to nineteen eighty five, where
I had to go to a mall to buy tickets, right,
or what you call, yeah, call the one hunter number. Yeah,
(18:10):
if you could go back, would you rather buy tickets
on a computer like now, or would you rather buy
tickets like back in the day.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I think I'd rather just make a phone call or
see if you can get the tickets. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
The worst part about this online stuff is there's so
many different pre sales, So if you don't have access
to any of them by the time you get to
the general public sale, I mean, what is our two
seats left? I don't know. It's it's hard.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
It's very true. And they do the dynamic pricing.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Oh yeah, so demand.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Yeah, so the more the tickets are selling, the higher
the price.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
How is that nipe not price gouging.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
I don't know. I did that for Elton John. I
did the dynamic pricing because again, like.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
Because the tickets were so hot, they actually went up.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
Yes, there's certain artists that I just want to see
and it's like, okay, I cave, I'll do it right,
because it's that life experience, and to me it's been
worth it. It's you know, I've seen some incredible shows.
But yeah, you gotta jump through a lot of hoops
and then you have to lay out a lot of
cash just to go to a concert.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Now you know, well, what artists would you go to
great lengths to see? You can text us at four
four three six three. How about du Liipa free tickets?
How about free tickets?
Speaker 2 (19:18):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Nothing beats free. And we'll do that in about twenty
minutes when we do a little battle trivia on Light FM.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on Light out that.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I know six point seven light FM. Good morning, We're Covey, Christine, Producer,
Kristin and Cobby. I think we're ready all.

Lightm E two here at light Fmcubby and Christine in
the morning, all your headlines with Christine.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Good morning Christine, Good morning Kubby. And keeping a watch
on Hurricane Aaron, which is definitely a threat to the
North Carolina coastline this morning, but also to us. Not
that it's coming ashore as we've been talking about. But
what it's doing to the surf and how dangerous it is,
life threatening conditions. So once again today City beaches, along
with many New Jersey shore beaches and beaches along Long
(24:14):
Island and the South Shore closed to swimming. Experts are saying,
do not go in past your ankles. This is so
so dangerous. The waves are high like we haven't seen
in years.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Yeah, even if you're a surfer, you don't want to
go out there.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Yeah, just don't risk it. Please, it's supposed to we
should be clear by Saturday, so we have to get
through a couple more days. The FAA is calling for
extending flight reductions at Newark Airport through next year. So
you know how they've been doing that because there's not
enough air traffic controllers, there's equipment issues. So Newark has
(24:47):
had to cut down on twenty five percent of their
flights and they wanted to come back up to speed
in October, but now they're saying, no, can we keep
this going a little bit longer, So it may be
next year. Also, Delta and United Airlines are facing the
class action lawsuit from passengers who say the carrier sold
them premium window seats but there weren't windows lawsuits. Seats
(25:09):
are next to air conditioning ducks and electrical systems, with
the airlines failing to disclose that information, leaving passengers to
pay extra for seats, and they were sitting next to
a blank space. Baby, and I'll write your name.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Oh, way to go, Taylor, Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
And the powerball jackpot tonight, I'm sorry, Saturday will be
seven hundred million dollars because we didn't have a winner
on Wednesday. In sports, Mets lost to the Nationals five
to four. Yanks beat the Rays six to four. Little
League World Series got Connecticut. They are headed to the
US Championship Game. They beat Nevada seven to three and
will play the winner of the Nevada versus South Carolina
(25:44):
game on Saturday at three point thirty. And last, but
not least, might be putting you guys on the spot,
but who tends to be the smartest in the family
as far as the kids are concerned? Birth order? Who
is the smartest? There was some research done and something
is standing out here for us.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Well, I know my sister, who's seven years older than me,
is that smarter?
Speaker 4 (26:06):
She?
Speaker 1 (26:06):
You know, graduated with honors in high school and then
went on do great things in college? Yeah? Me, I
was just average. So where are you getting at it.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Is, Kristen. What would your guest be?
Speaker 4 (26:22):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (26:22):
My parents would always say that I was the smartest
one of the three. I'm the oldest.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
Mm hm, we have a winner. It's the firstborn. Okay,
the first which is not me.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
By the way, not me, as I just mentioned.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Here's gonnay me hi hi.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Right, So does that mean my daughter nail me smarter
than Miles? But they're only five and three. That the
sample size is very small.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
It is. And I don't want to say anything. Okay,
you know I'm not going to go there, but yeah,
this according to studies, it tends to be the first born.
All right, so firstborn kids, you've got that. You got
that brag about today?
Speaker 1 (26:53):
All right?
Speaker 3 (26:53):
A nice pat on the back, Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
I'm gonna go look a window.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Here more Covey and Christine and the great music. Right,
how do you expect next?
Speaker 2 (27:01):
On light at them?
Speaker 1 (27:02):
We got news here on Emily in Paris the TV
show Wednesday. A lot to talk about here. It's one
of six point seven Light FM. Cubby Christine, producer Kristin
and I want to thank you Christine for ruining my
evenings at home.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
I'm a bad influence. I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Christine told me about a show on TLC called Match
Me Abroad, So me and the wife put it on
a couple of nights ago. Huh, and now we're kind
of glued to it.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
Yeah, I know it's addictive.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Yeah, do you really really watched those shows on TLC?
Christin watched. Yeah, we used to watch that. I gotta
get back into that.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
But there you get broad It's.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
About people can't find love here in America, so they.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Go other overseas, h with matchmakers overseas and then meet people.
We've been in Singapore, Prague, Brazil, Brazil. I think one
was in Colombia.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah, yeah, what are you watching? Give us a text
of four four three six three. Also, my wife was
asking me about Wednesday. Yeah, we were in bed last night.
She's like, is Wednesday? Are the next four episodes ready?
And I said I'd don't think.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
So they're ready, But we don't get to see him
until September third, Okay, so that's when we get the
second half of the season where we'll get Lady Gaga
by the.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
Way, Oh, she's in it. Yeah, she's the episode or
like one episode.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
No, I think just one. I think I know what
characters she's going to be like leading up to it.
So you know how sometimes guys will be like, I
don't want to watch the show, like maybe you didn't
want to watch Match Me Abroad, but then you get sucked.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
In, and that's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Yeah, I started Wednesday. Eric was like, I don't So
he sat down to watch the first episode with me.
We've watched two, and now I can't go ahead and
watch the third one because he's sucked in. He wants
to see it, but you know.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
This show is bad if he says go ahead without me.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
If he says go ahead, but he had a little
fascination with Match Me Abroad. Yeah, I sat down and
he was kind of like, I can see why you're
watching this.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
All right, Christine, I have another question for you, since
you know everything about shows. My wife was also asking
me about Emily in Paris.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
This is important because I heard the.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Show's coming back soon, and I said, I think it's September,
but I might be wrong on that too.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
You're wrong, Unfortunately, Coco, we have to wait until it
was Coco firstborn by the way, she was, Yeah, yeah,
we have to wait until December eighteenth for Emily in
Paris and Venice, by the way, which is where she
is and where they've been shooting. To come back to Netflix,
we get season five ten episodes all at once. We
did mention earlier in my newscast that the firstborn tends
(29:25):
to be the smartest in the family according to studies.
That's producer Kristin Covey and I are not.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
The first born.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
I'm second born. You can clearly tell every day right
here on light f half anyway, you're third.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Yeah, a poor Christine, bringing up the rear.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
But normally the youngest is like the golden child.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Oh so normally do you remember what kind of grades normally?
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Think back to your senior year in high school, Christine, Yeah,
what kind of grades were you bringing in?
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Oh? No, I was I was a good student.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Were you a B?
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (29:55):
Wow? I was like, see, maybe got it through.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
You've got charm.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
And I like windows too, apparently, Yeah that was yours. Okay, yeah,

give away. Can you do the honors? Christine?
