How was Florida hot hot?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yes, it was great. We had a great time.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
And was the park or should I say the parks crowded?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
They were, oh yeah, yes, it's still some spring ish
right going on. And then with Easter it was it
was pretty crowded, but we still had a good time.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah. The pictures, we love the pictures. And you have
the beautiful vacations sunny glow.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Oh yes, thank you. I got a lot of sun. Yes,
it was fun.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Welcome back to the pollen.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Oh my gosh, everything's green. I have a white car
and it's not anymore.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
And thank you for the gifts. By the way, Christine,
we're so lucky. Kristin brought Disney World gifts that I
can give to Naomi and Miles or maybe I'll just
take them, Yes, maybe you will.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Yeah, I got my Starbucks cup. Oh is that what
you got do Kingdom? Yes, I love it. Thank you
so much.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Well here we are on a Monday back together, and
it's like a Wednesday for you. Christine, because tomorrow's your
Thursday and wednesday's your Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yes, it's a getting confusing.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
You get ready for your trip. You're going away next
to my trip.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
I don't think I'm going to have the kristin glow.
So we're going over to Europe, which I'm really excited about.
And the weather. I've been following the weather and it's
been gorgeous. It's been kind of like here, like seventies
during the day, fifties, sixties at night. We get there,
fifties during the day, clouds and rain. I'm like, come on.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
What you're gonna be doing a lot of walking, right,
we're doing.
Speaker 3 (01:32):
I'm doing all touristy stuff this time, and a lot
of walking and a lot of outdoors.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
You know.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I wanted to get beautiful pictures and.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Sometimes those graphics that have like the shower emoji or
the rain drops. It's not going to be an all
day rain like it looks doom and gloom, but I
think you'll be okay. I'm crossing my fingers.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I'll send you pictures from the Church of Bones, oh Bones,
when it's all dark and you tell me, yes.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
You tell me you're doing like landmarks you're not doing museums,
you're doing castles.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
This is more like castles and palaces. Oh my yeah, right,
and eating, of.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Course, and you fly to a lot of eating. You
fly to Vienna or Prague.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
We go to Vienna, then we connect to Prague. So
we start in Prague and then work our way from
Budapest to Vienna and then home. Wow, thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
It's what.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Kristen's the one who had the fantastic vacation and here
I am.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
No, this is so exciting. I'm very happy for you. Yeah,
this is going to be great.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You think I got nothing for another month, you.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Know, but Italy's in your future.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
That's right. Italy's in June. And we're doing a quick
Cayman Islands trip at the end of May.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I mean, that's okay.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
But you can tell vacations coming. Baby feeling it. We're
feeling it. It's one of six point seven Light FM,
and we have three pretty cool things. Finally we can
do three pretty cool things. Krista, we were doing two
cool things last week. I heard, yeah, yeah, we were
too lazy to find a third. So you're here. We
can do three pretty cool things.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
Next more Covey and Christine and the great music variety
you expect next on light at them.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
It's three pretty cool things you need to know.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Hey, this is really cool. Captain Crutch is bringing back
a summer flavor from the past, orange cream pop crunch.
Look for it soon, are you Captain Crutch fans? Guys?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Maybe when I was a kid?
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, I love kids. Sero you put some kids here
in front of me right now, I will hear it. Yes.
What is your cool thing, Christine?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Well, it involves Netflix and how a lot of us
like to use subtitles. Even though we hear it, sometimes
you feel like you miss something right, So you leave
the subtitles up when you're watching your shows or your movies,
but you get all of that background stuff, like the
little musical notes and sound effects. Netflix is now giving
you an option. This is brand new where you can
get dialogue only subtitles. Oh okay, So it'll take away
(03:53):
all the background stuff that you maybe don't need, and
it's supposed to be really simple to find and switch
over to.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
You see like music playing, Nope, suddenly, just.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
The words so you don't have to go what.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Welcome back, producer, Kristen. What's your cool thing.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Thank you. So do you guys remember when you were
a kid and if you were on the beach, you
would like dig a really big hole in the sand
and your parents as used to say, you're gonna get
end up in China if you dig any further right, Well.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
That's right, right, if you go right down?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Not true? What it's not true? So I found this
really cool interactive map. It's called Engaging Data. It's a website. Right,
if you drilled a hole straight through the center of
the Earth from New York City, you technically would end
up in the Indian Ocean, but you would be on
the cusp of Perth, Australia. That's where you would end up. Wow,
(04:44):
right from New York City because right northern Hemisphere you
can't end up in the Northern Hemisphere and that's where
China is too.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
So what a quick way to get to Australia? Though?
If you had that hole right? What how long that
fall would be? You'd get there? Though?
Speaker 5 (04:59):
More Covey and the great music variety you expect next
on light at them.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Do we really need social media? Do we really need
expensive funerals? It's one of six point seven light FM
Covey and Christine producer Kristen. I know I'm all over
the place, but I'm reading this question here. What is
something people are one hundred percent brainwashed in the believing
they need? And expensive funerals was one of them. Social
media is one of them, although I think we really
(05:25):
do need social media and some you know, areas of work,
especially for us. Yeah, but are there anything like, for example,
some people think they need a brand new phone every year.
Because Apple put out a brand new phone, you think
you need it. I used to be that way, then
I got down to every two years, which I'm proud of.
(05:46):
What about you, Christine? Do you get a new phone
every year? No?
Speaker 3 (05:48):
No, no, no, I hang on some my phones and Kristin, no,
I'm the one I have now I've had since I
think twenty nineteen.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Okay, yeah, it's been a couple of years.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
So what are some things that a lot of people
convince you need, but really deep down you don't. And
this is great.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
I was just having this conversation yesterday with my sister
in law. She was helping me pack for this trip,
and she was like, will you overdo it with clothing? Right? Like,
not just my packing but just in general, it's kind
of like when you when you take stock of how
much you have, you realize maybe we don't need all
of that, and how much you really wear and how
much you actually wear because you just go to your
favorite piece.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
To me, you have ten yeah, maybe five pieces of
clothing in rotation.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Right, you're the same with the shoes. The secrets of it, Yeah, rok.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
I want to go back to expensive funerals. That's a
great point.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
That's very interesting. I mean, I know they cost, like
even they could coffin is a lot of money. But
I don't know why would you want that on your family?
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Oh yeah, you don't, right, trying not to do that
to your family.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Did anybody ever tell you, like, once your car's paid off, okay,
time to get a new one. Oh yes, you don't
necessarily have to do that. No, you know, don't forget
that you can enjoy the cost.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
Enjoy not having the payment.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
For a while.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
For sure.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
I got roped into something that's on this list, and
that's gender reveal parties. I know that a lot of
people go all out and do the confetti and the
colored smoke, and we didn't do all of that, but
we we did do two gender revealed parties for no reason.
It wasn't necessary, but you know, it's cute.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
If you enjoyed it. If you enjoyed it.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Another thing that came up in the you know things
that you believe you really have you have to have?
Bottled water came up and I'm stuck with that. Still
you're used to having bottle water, right, Yeah, I was
addicted to it for a long time. I felt like
we had to have at least a case in the
garage ready to go. But Coco bought this little like
bur It's called Burkie and it's just a filter and
(07:47):
we just put you know, water into it and it
filters over time. And now we got rid of all
the plastic.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
But that's great.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
I still like a good water bottle.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I know, it's just convened ununfortunately, but we have all
the pretty cups that we carry around. But yeah, there's
a little theme going here too because it says expensive
weddings and diamond rings.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Yea, these are things a lot of people feel like
you have.
Speaker 3 (08:08):
To have have. But it's okay if you.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Don't give us a text at four four three six three,
What is something that people like have brain washed you
in to have to have.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
I want to hear from you more Covey and Christine
and the great music variety you expect next on Light at.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Them one to six forty seven Light of FM, Good
Morning Covey Here Christy producer. Christen's back six point fifty
on this Monday. What about this whole secret thing?
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Well, I find this interesting. We were in this situation recently.
You mean, yes, you and me where I told you
something and I kind of you know, something secret, and
I kind of assumed Coco knows, oh yeah, and then
you told me no, I didn't tell it. Oh that
was nice. That was like really respectful and I appreciate that.
But people were asked, you know, when when you have
(08:53):
a relationship, somebody, your friend tells you a secret, do
you automatically tell your partner? The majority of people fifty
seven percent of people said yep, like they turn around
and boom.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
The partner is almost like a given. It doesn't count.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
In my head, it's a given. Like if I tell
you guys something, I kind of just assume, right, you
know your partners are gonna know.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah, So how about you when I tell you something,
Do you tell Eric right away?
Speaker 3 (09:19):
No? It depends, honestly depends on what it It's the
nature of the secret.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Correct.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
A lot of times that's.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
How I feel.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, Like a lot of times it's delicate. It like
it involved my girlfriends or something. I'm like, I'm going
to repeat that. That's like nobody else's business. And if
you tell me not to tell anybody, I do not
tell anybody anybody, but I might ask for clearance, like Kristin,
if you told me something, I might say, so, okay.
If I share that with Eric, you know, maybe do
(09:46):
you automatically no judgment? Do you automatically tell Ryan or.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
I'm on the same page as you, guys. It definitely
depends on what it is.
Speaker 1 (09:56):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
But also I again assume that you would tell and
come you would tell Coco, And that doesn't bother me
at all at all. But I think like if it's
like like juicy drama, like get they guess what?
Speaker 1 (10:10):
All right, I'll text that, Yeah, I got some good
jews for you.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
Yeah straight to Eric, do not pass go. Yeah, but
it feels like it's not hurting anybody. But if it
feels really personal, and I don't know if you're ready
to share, then no.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
You know, a coworker here told me their age for
the first time. Somebody in our building on Friday, and
this person said, I won't even tell you if it's
a boy or girl. I'll just say. This person said,
please keep it a secret. I was just bursting to
tell somebody, but I didn't. I didn't, and I still
(10:48):
have it right here in my heart. No one knows.
In my brain, no one knows. But man, I might
have to tell you guys off the air after But uh, yeah,
do you want to hear it?
Speaker 2 (11:03):
No?
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Okay, Well, what's our question we could throw out to
the audience right now? Do you do you keep a secret?
Speaker 3 (11:08):
When somebody tells you a secret? Do you automatically tell
your partner?
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Right? Okay? Four four three sixty three? Give us a text.
It's not about just if you can't keep a secret. Yeah,
it's about do you at least go to your partners?
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Do you go to you? No matter what you know,
they just assume that that person knows. I pretty much assume, right,
you know?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
All right? Hit us up four four three six three
on text. And I know you're busy working on headlines, Christine, I.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Am Cobby and you know how we all love our
morning coffee. But apparently we're doing it all wrong, doing
it all wrong.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
That's not right. We'll talk about it next.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Cobby and Christine in the morning. More next on one
O six point seven.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Light F one O six point seven Light FM with
Cobby and Christine in the Morning. You know, Christine, you
have vacation coming up in a couple of days. Producer
Christen just got back from vacation. A lot of sparks
are flying around here because kristin you and your hobby Ryan,
did you do you feel extra saucy now? Because apparently
when you go on vacation it's a good spark for
(12:03):
a relationship. Interesting, yeah, and reading an article here, it
says if you feel like you and your spouse could
use a little spark of romance, all you have to
do is plan to get away. A vacation goes a
long way.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
That's what the glow is. Then, Kristen, I thought it
was the sun sitte.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
There you go, it's the love.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
But there are other things you can do, according to
this poll, like watching the sunset together. If you feel
like your romance is missing a spark, watch the sunset.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Together, that's pretty.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Explore a new place together, which could be along the
lines of vacation right, taking a long walk while holding hands,
a mosquitoes in the summertime, taking a or going to
a new restaurant or cuisine together. You know, try something.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Like that that can experiences.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Share a slow breakfast or coffee on a balcony, watching
the sunrise together. Sun sets higher than a sunrise.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
Yeah, by the way, and rance, if.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
You can catch a good sunrise together, that's good too.
Going on a scenic excursion, staying in bed all morning
with no agenda.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Heaven before kids, right.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Stargazing is in there, and dancing together are all things
that will spark a relationship.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
I love it all right. Well, I had just seen Kebby,
you know, I was scrolling through I follow Mail Robbins
on Instagram and she was talking to a relationship expert
and this woman, I'm sorry, I don't remember her name
right now, but she said, there's three things you need
to do to keep the connection alive in a long
term relationship. Express gratitude to your partner every day something
(13:43):
that they did. Make sure they know you appreciate it,
Kiss for six seconds, and hug for twenty to thirty
seconds because that releases the oxytocin, which keeps you connected.
And she said, maintain eye contact. She said, it's really
sad how long term couples she sees them, they don't
even like really look at each other. And she said,
if you can do these three things every day, that'll
(14:04):
keep you emotionally and physically connected.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (14:07):
Wow, I feel connected right now. We can do all
those things here at work, except for the kissing for
six seconds and hugging for thirty but some of these
a little weird. But eye contact is important to me,
not only in a relationship but a work relationship.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
That means I'm hear you and I see you right listening.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Yeah, it is a little loving mind.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
It's Kebby and Christine's crazy first Dates.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Cobby were talking with Audrey. Good morning, Audrey. So when
did your crazy first date take place? How did you
guys meet?
Speaker 6 (14:38):
So we met at a comedy event. Oh, we both
just kind of like had eyes and we ended up
like just chatting. It was really natural, and then we
both determined that we both have really cute dogs.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Huh.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
So he had everything going for him, like he was
super cute ed at home, like if a homeowner, and
you know, everything checked, all the boxes and the cute dog.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
It was just like everything.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
So so our first date, like I don't consider as
meeting at.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
The comedy thing a first date because that was hurt.
But we had like a photo shoot with us and
our dogs. It was like a family picture.
Speaker 6 (15:21):
But of course I had a picture with my dog
alone and he had a picture with his dog alone.
But then we did like a little family portrait of
us four together and it was just the most adorable thing.
So that was like our first date, like scrapbook piece.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
I guess, adorable picture.
Speaker 6 (15:39):
And then like not long after that, his dog ended
up like getting hit by a car and he ended
up taking to work. He hadn't move away, and so
like our adorable little dog life, it was short lived.
But he ended up moving to like I don't know,
Alaska or something for some research job, and I never
heard from him again.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
Oh my goodness, what a turn this. Yeah, this is like,
oh so really sad ending.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
I'm so sorry it was a sad ending, but like
that's how my true love was was lost.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Well, I mean, and there's no sense, I mean, do
you ever get the urge to reach out to this person.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Like I'm afraid to like look online to see who
he's like married to, now, like that would bring my heart.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Yeah, I'm so sorry. Have you have you met anybody
else that you like?
Speaker 6 (16:31):
No, I mean I'm open, but like I think that
like that that was such like my sess of Huber
kind of date. It was so out of the box.
And I mean my friends thought it was a little weird,
but I'm like, who doesn't want to have a family
picture with your dog?
Speaker 4 (16:47):
It was just so silly.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Yeah, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Well, we do appreciate you sharing the story, even though
it was a tough story to tell. And again we
appreciate you.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
Oh think, I mean it's all right. I mean, maybe maybe.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
I'll get the curt now, just see if he is.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Married or not. Maybe maybe you've got me motivated.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Now, all right, give it a shot, let us know.
Speaker 1 (17:09):

Suave by Girardo? You don't remember that song?
Speaker 3 (19:08):

Speaker 1 (19:09):

that song no. Thirty five years old. But I can't
say Neil Giraldo.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
You just said it, Okay, Giraldo, I'm one for five.
I mean, like, don't overthink it.
Speaker 1 (19:24):

Speaker 3 (19:29):

Speaker 1 (19:31):

Speaker 3 (19:39):
