Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of six point seven m Cubby and Christine in
the Morning producer Kristen But yeah, Christine is back. Ladies
and Gentleman, Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. How does it feel?
How does it feel?
Speaker 2 (00:10):
Wonderful? We've missed like a dream come true. Seriously, I've
missed you guys so much. I'm so happy to be back.
Speaker 1 (00:16):
A lot of people have been texting the last couple
of weeks asking about you. I mean, what do you
want to talk about? Like, what have you been doing
the last couple of weeks?
Speaker 2 (00:24):
For those that are going to ask, there's been a
lot of Harrison Ford in my life the past couple
of weeks. All right, So you know, I've been dealing
with a health issue. So it's been a journey and
in recovering, I feel like you want to watch something
that brings you comfort. So there was Indiana Jones and
Star Wars and Pee Wee Herman like, just.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, did you watch that documentary by Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:47):
The documentary's excellent.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
We started watching it last night and it's really good.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
It's so good. Breaks your heart though, I know, breaks
your heart? What do you went through? But then I
had to watch Pee Wee's Big Adventure of course.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah that makes you happy. Yeah, but things are looking
up now, things are looking good.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah, it's just being here lifts me. Thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
All right, how much sleeping did you do? I know
you were kind of You've never been a great sleeper, right.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Yeah, this was like kind of fragmented sleeping.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
So when the alarm went off at three fifteen or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Not a problem, not a problem, right, kind of like
it's just so happy.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, so it's good to see you guys. How are
you guys?
Speaker 1 (01:22):
Yeah, well what should we catch up? Christina on Kristin,
Well what if she missed? Uh, let's see, trying to
think it's been kind of quiet. Yeah, well we had
do we have any guests stop by in the last couple?
Speaker 2 (01:32):
No?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Why can't I remember?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
No, we had a lot of food.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Oh that's right. Oh yeah there was one week you
were gone where every day there was like hamburger, steak, lobster.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
I mean, oh you had serious Oh yeah, it was crazy. Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, and you know the weather has been blah. I
mean I was driving in today it's June sixteenth. I
had the seat warmer on at the heat on.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Wow, in the car, I was cold.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
It was a little chili, but not not to put
the seat warmer level anyway.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Four four three six three Text Christine and uh yeah,
welcome her back because we certainly did miss you, and
we're looking forward to a fun day here so much.
It's gonna be a soft launch.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Right, This is yes, soft launch, yes, because I kind
of have to ease in a little bit, right, so
probably just be here for a couple of days and
we're building up to a full week. I'll get there,
all right. Thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you
expect next on light at them.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
It's three pretty cool things you need to know.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Hey, my cool thing is Christine Nagy's back. Yeah, but
I do have another cool thing I want to tell
you about. Did you know the ancient Romans used to
drop a piece of toast into their wine for good health,
hence why we say raise a toast.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Oh my goodness, I just learned that.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah, sounds kind of nasty though, toast it does in
your wine if I want to dip, But health apparently,
And wishing you the best of health Christine as you
are back. What is your cool thing?
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well? I love this Disney and Pixar are making a
new film about a cat. It's called Got Though, and
it takes place in Venice. It's a black cat named Nero.
And the cool thing I think about this is not
just the story, which I love because it's about this kiddy,
but they're going back to hand painting the cartoons, oh,
(03:26):
which they have Pixar has never done.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
That's time consuming. You would think it's going to.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Be time consuming, but I think it's going to be really,
really beautiful. And it comes out in the summer of
twenty twenty seven, so they have some time to do
their drawing.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
You go two homers to go, yeah, all right, what
do you have, Kristin.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
So you know, when you get laryngitis or you know,
you lose your voice, the first thing you do is
you whisper because you think that's the easiest thing to
get your voice back. Well, apparently it is not. A
study revealed that whispering stranger vocal cords just as much
as yelling. So don't do that when you get laryngitis.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Talk on your normal voice, or just don't talk and
don't talk. Oh yeah, that's probably the best guy. All right.
Three pretty cool things. Hope you learned something here.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
LIGHTFM more Covey and Christine and the great music variety
you expect next on light at that I want.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
A sixty seven Light FM Covey and Christine in the morning.
Christine's back producer Kristin. How did really Chili's on the list?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
You know? That's why I said, who is doing this?
Speaker 1 (04:17):
We see a list here? What's the most bizarre thing
you've seen someone eating while driving? And just overall, food
you shouldn't eat while you drive.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
It's in even bigger distraction than being on the phone.
Being on a handheld phone is eating worse like to
eat the most dangerous foods people can have well driving.
Starting off with coffee, by the way, really, I think
because it's so hot, So soup, tacos, chili, chili, hamburgers,
(04:47):
anything barbecued fried chicken. How are you pulling this off?
Jelly filled doughnuts, soft drinks, and chocolate.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Okay, where do we start?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I know because some of these I'm a little surprised.
I know coffee right, because you said it's hot. But
that's something all of.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Us do you all do? Right?
Speaker 1 (05:04):
And you mentioned all food except for coffee. Coffee is
not really a food, but hot soup is in there.
So but again, yeah, no, a taco. I've done it before.
It's awful.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
You've had a taco behind me.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
I've been that hungry on a road trip where I
have to eat the taco that we have in a bag.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Oh that's going everywhere.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yeah, you have to have a towel basically, or you
can do it maybe with the soft shell taco, but
a hard shell just cracks it when you're craving a taco.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Though, you understand these right right, pull over. But I've tried.
I had I think it was like a chicken salad
sandwich and realized very quickly that was a big mistake really,
Like I was trying to eat that and drive through
Midtown Manhattan.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Coco has handed me sandwiches before and like held it
for me as I'm driving, if she's in the passenger
and she rolls down the paper for me as I
go further further along. You've done that to Christmas. Absolutely,
you helped out your husband Ryan, Yes, yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
You got a Yes, it was just me, myself and
I and you're chicking salad right, that was all over
my lap. When Covey said you need a towel. That
reminded me of like I could have used to.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Tell, huh, where's granola bar? By the way, can we
put granola bar on the list? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Oh, because it breaks apart.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Every time I know one bite? You know, when I
eat one here in the studio, what do I do, Christine,
I'm over by the trash can. Yes, I usually eat
on top of the trash can that's in the studio.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
So I have like a protein bar.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
But right hit us up at four four three six three.
What is just nasty to eat while you're driving? It's
just not good? And chili. I still don't get.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you
expect next on Light at Them.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
Christine is back, producer Christians here, welcome back, welcome back,
so happy we have a blah day again. It's been
raining all weekend, cloudy all weekend, cloudy today and a
high of sixty nine degrees. So you do not need
the air.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Conditioning, but some of us do.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
When do people cave in and turn on their air conditioning?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I love this. So there's a little study about the
aces and how long we'll put up with the heat
before we cave, and apparently we will torture ourselves through
five sleepless, sweaty, excruciating nights before we finally cave in
and put the air conditioner on every five nights, five nights,
and the average that we like to have the house
(07:29):
is at sixty nine degrees.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah, that's that's chili. I think I prefer seventy two.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Well, I mean for sleeping. Sometimes you like get a
little older.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I mean, look, Christin, you lost your air conditioning last
what fall?
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Yes, it was last fall, and we just got it
fixed recently, a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
And you haven't turned it off since.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
I've never taking it for granted ever. Again, don't care
what my bill is because.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
It died on you, like right when fall was kicking in.
So you're like, eah, we don't really need it anymore, right.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
But then when spring started we had a little bit
of a heat.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
It got really hot right that.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Wow, was my house hot? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Did you guys see the forecast for like five six
days from now, you know what's happening, mid to upper
eighties and then maybe mid nineties by early next week,
so you will need the air conditioning. The sun will
return the heat will be here and summer will be
here in a couple of hours too, so bring it on.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
One extreme to the other though.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I know this is why we're all nasily around here. Yes, right,
we'll have something going on. Yes, it's fifty one day
and one hundred the next.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
Next on, light at them.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Cubby and Christine. Yeah, she's back, everybody. Christine nag ask.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
You guys so much.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
We missed you too.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Very happy to.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Be here and we're happy to have you back. You
look great. Producer Christen's hanging out and if you're a
soccer fan, we have something for you in about ninety seconds,
So hang on, soccer fans. Right now, I want to
talk about music and when you think, where's the best
place to go for music in the entire world?
Speaker 2 (08:56):
From music lovers?
Speaker 1 (08:57):
From music lovers, Yes, I mean New York is got
to be top three.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
It's in the top ten. Oh really, it is not
number three because we're.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
You know, the melting pot of everything.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
We have it all, We've got a lot. But there's
other cities around the world who have even more music
venues than us.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Okay, who put this list out? Do you even know? H?
Sorry to put you on the spot.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Time out put this list out.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
I'm out.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Time out put the list out. So coming in at
number ten and you mentioned soccer Bristol, England, all right,
is number ten and number nine is Seattle, Washington.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Oh, this has figured you have to have Seattle in
there somewhere for our music lovers.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Here's where we can go. Number eight Glasgow, Scotland. Here's
New York at number seven, Manchester, England at number six,
number five Nashville.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Wow, they're really going all over the place. I like it.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
They are number four Vienna, Austria. Okay, I can't recommend
it highly enough. It's so beautiful, lots of music. Number
three is Chicago, So Chicago beat US outs list.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Chicago should be seven and we should be What was
that for?
Speaker 2 (10:00):
We're number seven but Chicago, Chicago is number three.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
I almost feel like we should be three. But whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
Berlin, Germany is number two and coming in at number
one for music lovers London, England.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Wow, look at that.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
I'm surprised.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Austin.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Yes, I was thinking that, right, Where's Austin? But Seattle
made it, you know, and you think Seattle, you might
think only early nineties because they really came out of
nowhere on the grunge. But I feel like it never
went away. I feel like Seattle's still hot for the music.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, because you're gonna have venues in a lot of
live music. So these are cities you can go to
and see tons of live music.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
Yeah. Now, how about how about soccer? All right, Christine,
we are looking for Caller ten right now? Are you

Speaker 4 (11:13):
It's Cobby and Christine.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Crazy first date. All right, We got Danielle on the
phone and she has a crazy first date story for us.
And Danielle, when did this happen? And how did you meet?
This crazy first date?
Speaker 5 (11:25):
So this was like two years ago, and I met
him through a friend, which I yelled at them about
after because that was crazy. But we went to like
a really nice restaurant. In the first few minutes, I
was like, oh, he's like a really nice guy. Everything
seems nice. And then the waiter comes in and he's
just like, okay, what would you guys like And he's like,
(11:47):
I'll take a glass of one, and I was about
to order it. He's like, oh no, no, no, no no,
let me let me take care of it. And I know, okay,
and I kind of sat back because I was intrigued.
He ordered one glass of wine, one salad, and one
roll of sushi, and then he's just he's like, you
know mine, right, We're gonna just share you to mind.
And I was like all right, I'm thinking, is this
(12:09):
like a pre lunch thing? I don't know, so I
was just like, all right, fine it. It was so strange.
He even added a straw to the wine glass, and
then the person came in and they added the check
and he's like, okay, so we're gonna split it, right,
And I'm like, if we weren't gonna split it, I
was gonna get my own wine glass. Like, and then
(12:29):
he proceeds to go. You know, I never I never
felt this way before I go, neither have I I'm like,
I'm good. Just so I just took my stuff, I
gave the credit card, and then I never saw him
again and was like, this is so strange. I've never
had this experience.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
But well, you know, forget how he ordered part. Did
he have the looks that you wanted? Did he have
the personality you wanted? The looks and.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
The personality quickly faded.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah, after a while you found out quick that this
guy was not for you.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
That was two years ago. Are you still out there
dating or are you with somebody?
Speaker 5 (13:07):
I'm dating someone right now, but you know, just it's
not thing serious.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
Well, the best of luck in your future, and uh
I hope, uh you know success is coming your way.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
What do you have for us?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
Five percent of American adults have never visited this.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Scott in plainview? What do you think it is they've
never gone to see?
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Like to go to another state?
Speaker 2 (14:06):
You've got it, Yes, it's correct, another state. Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (14:12):

leave there area.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
Another part of the country.
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Yes, Yeah, more Covey and Christine and the great music
variety you expect next on Light at Them.

Christine is back.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Thank you, so happy to be here.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Covey than happy to have you here and back in
the saddle and all your headlines take it away.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Quite a bit happening. First of all, the suspects in
the killing of a Minnesota state lawmaker and the serious
wounding of another over the weekend and now in police
custody after that massive manhunt. Vance Bolter was captured about
fifty miles southwest of Minneapolis yesterday after being spotted on
a trail camera and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahoo defending
(15:15):
his country's military actions against Iran, and he's saying that
they Israel will do whatever is necessary to remove the
nuclear threat that Iran poses. The prosecution may rest this
week in the Shan did die Combs trial. This has
been going on for about seven weeks at this point,
and it's a big week for the economy with several
(15:37):
key reports on the way, including the Federal Reserve's interest
rate decision they're expected to keep interest rates where they're at,
and sports. The Mets lost to the Rays nine to nothing,
Yankees lost to the Red Sox to nothing, and the
Red Bulls lost to Austin to one. Okay, you're going
on a date, guys. This is directed towards you the most.
(15:57):
Should you be loud and proud about your accomplishments or
should you go humble? And what would your guests be?
Speaker 1 (16:02):
I mean, come on, I think humble?
Speaker 2 (16:04):
Right, you should go humble? You should go humble. Researchers say,
do it. They say they found prospective dating partners who
were humble were viewed as more attractive for a romantic
relationship than guys who bragged about themselves.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
All right, thank you for the update, Christine, of course,
and we'll catch up, by the way, on what's been
going on with you in just a couple of songs,
and then we have something to give away. We've had
like nine giveaways today. We have another giveaway, don't wait,
coming up? What do we do?
Speaker 3 (16:31):
We have one more today?
Speaker 1 (16:32):

the nice All right, So hang on, it's Light FM, more.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Next on light F.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Them I'm reading a text that just came in here
to Light FM. It says, feels like I'm watching pitch
Perfect with all the songs this morning. Whooh nice, that's
a compliment, I think.
Speaker 2 (16:52):

Speaker 1 (16:53):

but I'm building back ups. I'm probably just here for
a couple of days this week, right, and then I
can go back to full time.
Speaker 1 (17:46):

a couple of days, then I'm only going to be here. Seriously,
I'm going on vacation. Yeah, I'm doing the show tomorrow
and then the family and I are off to room.
Oh how beautiful for your room for a week. But
we'll be back. I will see you. Gosh, let's have

Speaker 1 (18:17):
Wait when I come back though, next Thursday. Aren't you
going away on Friday of that week?
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Right next friday?
Speaker 1 (18:24):
