Speaker 1 (00:00):
One six point seven light. If I'm good morning, it's

(00:02):
Jack and Christine producer Christian Today. We've got a couple
of things to say. First of all, congratulations Christine on
your Gracie award. See it glamorous and glorious.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
We heard you had a little prosecco and started to
sing see a little silhouetto of a man.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
There was no singing otherwise, know that we would have
cleared the room pretty quickly. But that was really beautiful
in such an honor because I mean, you guys make
it possible for me to receive that award, which which
acknowledges women and broadcasting the media.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yes, and you're you are not just only a legend,
but you are an icon here in New York. You
really have that. I remember, way back in the day
my first time meeting you in a car garage, scaring
the living wits out of you. That's Christine in the morning.
I was like, wait, what.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
That's how that works?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yah, yeah, yea yea yea.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Okay, now that's out of the way. Is the pool
open yet?

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yes, the pool was actually open. You know. The weekends
have been pretty dreadful. Right. Yeah, So in the little
community I live in, we have a pool and every
weekend they're like, well not this weekend, And then finally
on Saturday, there were a lot of happy kids because
the pool was finally open.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Did your kids get to play in the water over
the weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
We have a little like like water table and kiddie
pool sposhi type of thing. Yeah, slide for our backyard,
so they were doing that all weekend. But our pool
is also open, So that's exciting.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I have decision to make.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
A great way to go.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, three cool things coming up Kabby.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
And Christine back in a moment on what I was
six point seven light at them.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It's three pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Things you need to know, all right. So apparently a
study from San Diego State Universe City says eating four
strawberries a day could improve your cognitive skills. Study found
men and women in their seventies. Now, so do we
have to wait till we're like seventy eight? The I
found out that eating twenty six grams of freeze dried

(02:15):
strawberry powder, you can have the real deal. I mean,
this is the time for strawberries made from all right,
better performance on cognitive tests. I wish I knew that
during the SATs. Why did I know that.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
We can do it now? All right, this sounds good.
Shake Shack is bringing back I didn't even know it existed.
The Dubai Chocolate Pistachio shake, Dubai Chocolate all the rage.
Of course, it's a favorite blends pistachio frozen custard crunchy
cataffe which is in there, and a crackable dark chocolate shell.

(02:50):
Oh wow, and.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Giving me the knife and fork.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I really need that, and a sprinkle of chopped Pistachio's
ultra decadent treat but only while supplies last's at shake Shack.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
My daughter bought one of those and she goes it
cost me seventy dollars. I don't know it was the
size of this equipment in here. I don't understand he
bought one. Yeah, I didn't care for it that much.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, from Shakeshack, we're gonna go over to Buffalo weld Wings.
They are launching and all you can eat appetizer promotions
starting this Friday, the twenty seventh. The bottomless apps include
endless rounds of two appetizers at a time. It's gonna
cost nine dollars ninety nine cents for groups of four
or fewer.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
So if you shake split there's three of us, all right.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
But any more than four your opinion full price, okay,
but still a good deal.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yes, yeah, I'm like starving now.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on Light at them one six.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Point seven light a FM. Good morning, it is Jack
and Christine and producer Kristin. Thank you for having us on.
And we're talking about splitting the bills. Yeah, alrighty, yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
You split the bill like I like to like if
you go.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
Out go out with friends, how about if you go
out with couples?

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Right, and when we're in a group, we like to
just split evenly. Right. But I think this is up
for debate all the time, because here we are, it's summertime,
we're hopefully getting together more and going out a little bit.
And why is there always somebody at the table who
eats and drinks more but they kind of don't add
a little more just to make it easier.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
No, they're the ones who say, let's split it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
All and then you mean us can feel very awkward saying,
you guys had aptizers and desserts and right, so we
end up just splitting it. But it always seems like
there's always somebody and they're always the same person, you
know what I mean, like in the group.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah, and I always wonder why they get invited.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Right, Well, that's the thing. So I have a friend
when we all go out, she sometimes cries poverty, but
before after dinner, before she's the one that orders a lot,
knowing that, and then she'd be like, well, you know,
I only have this amount of money, and you know
she's a good friend of ours, so we all kind
of feel obligated.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
And reassess that baby. You know, well we'll.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Cover for you. And yeah, I know, but.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
But it does make you think twice, then it does.
And then also people with money are saying it's not
fair to them that if they've got the most money
that everyone leans on them to pick up the tab. No,
which is true, it's not fair.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
But if they do say hey I got this, I
do not argue.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I said, oh, thank you at all a relief.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
I dated a woman once who was notorious for letting
me pay for everything, and I got a little tired
after a while, and finally I said, no, I'm not
going to dinner, but I will join you guys for
a drink afterwards. And she came, the bill came, and
she goes, all right. He had a drink and his
portion of the tip is and that's the last time
I got together with her. I was like, whoa this is?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's that's not going to come far.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
And she had a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
She had a lot of money. Why she had that
explains it.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you expect.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Next on Light at Them.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Six point seven, Light at Him. Good morning. It's Jack
and Christine producer Christian here this morning. And you know,
it says here that that guys are not as happy
as women when they're single. And I mean, I don't
know if I want to admit, but I was when
I was single. I was kind of having a good
time happy. No, no, all right, it was a long

(06:33):
time ago.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's aren't listening right now. On average, single women happier
than single men. So single men. Single women tend to
say they're happier with their lives overall, happier about being single,
happier with their uh personal lives, they're less interested in
having a romantic partner. But if you had to choose

(06:53):
who's on the happier scale, women weigh in generally as
happier when they're single than single guys do.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah, I think it would be a hassle to be
with the guy.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Well, like you say it. Yeah, I'm looking at producer Kristen, Like,
you know.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Did you in your adult life did you spend how much?
Did you spend some time being single?

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Not?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Really, I guess now that I think about it. No,
because I've been with my husband for eighteen years.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Okay, and before gratulations by the way, you.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, yeah, I guess.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I guess not.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I couldn't imagine dating right now.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
No no, no, no, no, no no no, I was. I
did not. When I was younger, I was, you know,
wanted to have somebody. But after after the big D
I said, wow, this is kind of fun. I had
two cats. So is that still being single?

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:44):
You're still all right, because.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Well you're officially a cat dad according to the Internet.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
But speaking of dating, if you've had a crazy first
date recently, you know, we love to share these stories
and you can text us at four four three, six three,
And if we use your story on the air, Christin,
we've got an awesome prize. We do.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
Katie Perry's going to be at Madison Square Gardens. We
have those tickets to give away.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Call us more, Cubby and Christine in the morning does
ahead on one was six point seven point.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Seven light FM. It is Jack and Christine and producer
Kristin and Kristin Do I say that?

Speaker 5 (08:17):
Right?

Speaker 1 (08:18):
I keep thinking like it's coming out wrong?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
That's okay? Some people say Christian that's I'm named after
Christian Slater, so it's close enough.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
After who yeah, I am? You never knew that? Huh?
Now I do? Now everyone does?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
There you go wow a little known fact. Oh okay,
So how long are the kids out of school? You
had too long? Right?

Speaker 1 (08:42):
It seems like a week.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
The little ones are graduating from their preschool and their kindergarten.
They're so so adorable. And Kristin, you've got two little
ones at home? Yes, and did you know that? This
sounds awful? But kid rotting is a trend, so you
know how bed rotting has been a trend for us
to just stay in bed all day and make it
easy Yeah, there's a trend going around right now for
the summer and parents are saying, maybe don't overbook the kids,

(09:07):
like let them be bored, oh boy, and it's called
kid rotting, just lounging around. They said, let them daydream,
make make believe in the backyard, or do whatever they
need to do to keep themselves busy.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Kid rotting. I don't know if I like that term, but.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I don't like the term either.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Do you ever just send them, Well, they're kind of
young to be on their own and without supervision, but
do you ever leave them in the room and just say, guys,
come up with something.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
They're they're very good at independent play, but then they're
also very good at playing with each other. They're only
two years apart, so they.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
You know, still working on the sharing but.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Part of this.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
But they get bored, like what every five minutes?

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Myself, my four year old does, yes, and he is
very vocal about it. He will tell me Mommy, I
am bored. I'm like, well, you know, a Jagger, figure
something out.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Buddy, You're gonna have to figure out how to learn
to deal with that.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
And he graduated a whole week ago. You were just
like just getting start a week sounds right, Yeah, and
only from pre K three, that's the funny part.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
He's just going to pre K four. So we got
a we got a long way Wow, yeah pre k.
Don't you now like only had one K?

Speaker 2 (10:11):
I wish it was your biggest problem that you're bored
like you know, it just is. It's so different for
adults from kids.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I was going home on the train one summer and
I saw these five kids just on the corner on
their bikes looking at each other, like, what do you
want to do? What do you want to do? And
I went, I want to be in that growth. I
know I want to have nothing to do. I know
I want to be I want to be bored.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (10:35):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on Light at them it's Covey and Gristine's

Speaker 5 (10:53):
It was through my friends when she was seeing the
lower The guy was working at the office later and
also going for my degree in a low degree. Okay,
he got the hit on me when I was just
trying to help my friend and I was there supporting her. Okay,
but you know, immigration, and this guy came and he

(11:14):

if I was a virgin.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
Oh no, that's kind of bold date.

Speaker 5 (11:25):
Okay, Yeah, and in real life, I was, you know,
first from another country, came in the United States. Expectation
was really high, and I was believing or but I said,
though I'm not. I'm like, this is not going to work.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, that's a little bold.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
Did you try to get out of this day? Did
you say, look, I just remembered I have a dentist
appointment or something like that to kind of wrap this up.

Speaker 5 (11:49):
No, but it seems I killed his mood.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
You know what. I'm sure he didn't get your mood
started at all either with that question. Wow. But you
never heard from him again? Right? You heard from this
guy again?

Speaker 5 (12:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Did you want to go out with you again?

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Six point seven Light at m. Good morning, Jack and Christine.
Producer Kristen and time for news headline and.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Good morning Jack. President Trump's schedule to meet with his
national security team today following this weekend's airstrikes on three
Iranian nuclear facilities. So on his truth social platform Sunday,
Trump appear to support the possibility of a regime change
in Iran. The prosecution expected to rest its case today

(14:04):
in the sex trafficking trial of Shan Didty Coombs here
in Manhattan. And of course, we're getting lots of warnings
about the heat. We have an extreme heat advisory, and
we also had a state of emergency declared by Governor
Hockel in many of the counties here in New York.
New York City Mayor Adams says there's no specific threats,

(14:24):
but the NYPD has increased presence around town, especially at
religious sites, in light of what has happened this weekend. Also,
the candidates for the mayoral race are making their final
push to voters before tomorrow's primary. In sports, the Yankees
beat the Orioles four two, Mets lost to the Phillies
seven to one. Liberty lost to the Seattle Storm eighty

(14:46):
nine to seventy nine. Oklahoma City Thunder are the NBA champions.
It's their first time. They beat the Pacers last night
in Game seven, one o three to ninety one. Finally,
here we go. According to psychological research, you can tell
a lot about a person in depending on their music choices.
For people who love rock music, they tend to be social, easily,

(15:08):
stressed out or depressed. If you prefer country, you are
considered athletic, dependable, focused, not depressed. I don't see that Lys. Also, yeah,
I can be also friendly, cheerful person and you don't
get stressed out or depressed. You often. According to the
country music folks, pop music listeners are friendly and sociable,

(15:30):
but not verbally gifted, and if your soul is your thing,
you're upbeat and conventional and I like pop music and rock,
so I'm not vocally gifted. Sorrys, Let's find something else, right, you.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Know, I don't know if i've known. Are you like
a rock person or what do you?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
I am?

Speaker 3 (15:54):
I aside from the Backstreet Boys, Yeah, I listened to
a kids are Jagger and Bully.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, I know, so that was a good guess. Yeah.
What does it say about Gregorian chants?

Speaker 2 (16:06):
No, it's not on their I'm for Jack.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I'm sorry, I guess I'm clear.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
You're on your own.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
Yes, more Covy and Christine and the great music variety
you expect next on Light at them.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Picture Jack and Christine and producer Kristin. And it's summertime
and it's starting for the summer on some but we
have to get rid of some things though, Christine.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
According to the fashion experts, Kristin, are you ready for this?
Fashion experts say, ditch these summer wardrobe items now, so
my whole closet basically for both of us. Yes, our
closet designers are saying this is out for this summer.
Cut off shorts. Okay, yeah, they said it's like a
fest music festival time capsule. They're done. Tiny sunglasses, We're

(16:48):
trendy for a moment, but they're I know, I didn't
get remember.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
The round ones, the little yeah like goggles.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Little guys are out oversizer in the vault, anything with
too many logos, because quiet luxury is now in.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Luxury.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
The difference chunky athletic shoes. You know how the dad
shoes were in. Yes, they're done. That's already done. That
was last summer. This one's hard for me. Fitted denim jackets,
and I keep seeing.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
This everywhere though for summertime, aren't they.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
I like them because if you're wearing jack you know,
a sun dress, and you go to a restaurant that's freezing,
you've got the cute little fitted denim jacket you put over.
I'm actually surprised they're saying, no, I've been seeing this
everywhere that you have to ditch it.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Are you guys going to that trend? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:39):
All right, it was in my closet. I almost brought
it here this morning. Bright me on colors, which I
don't know if that's an issue for us that we've
had it. Wrinkle prone pieces, so they say things like
intentionally crinkled textures like gauzy cotton seersucker.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
That's on Friday, I had to iron it didn't look right.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
Iron on fun. And finally ballet flats, which a lot
of us go to right because we yeah, I know, Chris,
really they want us to get rid of it. They said,
the rounded toe is going to look dated this summer.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Oh so you know.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Those Mary Jane flats that are in with the square toe,
that's that. Okay, that's your replacement.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Tunks like still wear flats, Yeah, yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
All right, so we have, but we do have festival
