Speaker 2 (00:14):
I don't see anybody right now, but it's.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
A big shity yes, and it seems quiet right. It
just seems fun. And we have a little text machine
here we can read all your texts come in and
you know, we get a couple here and there, but
it's not as busy as it is during the school
year when the teachers are up and all that stuff.
So it just seems light. Four four three six three.
Give us a text. Are you awake? Are you alive?
Everything good? Where are you going?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
All that jazz when we miss you?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You know, because we're right now. Is it the dog
days of summer yet? Or is that in August?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
No? I think let's move up the dog days now.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
It's hot, hot, and human today and a high of
ninety three and a pretty good shot of some drenching
thunderstorms in the afternoon. But enjoy it because we'll be
complaining about the cold and no time, and it'll be
snowing and Christmas music will be here, and.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Well, I have some used to share christ So I
went grocery shopping yesterday, and yesterday we were talking about
the Chobani creamers right like they're like, you know for
your coffee. Well, peppermint Mocha is officially in stock. Please,
I'm not kidding you?

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I positive? Well, I went to go look for the
pumpkin spice that Christine mentioned yesterday. It's supposed to be
Halloween and skip Tolemy went right to Christmas. Peppermint Mocha
creamer is in stock on the shelves. If you're ready
for Christmas, go buy it.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Were they playing Christmas music, no.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
Would have stretch right, don't tip me, I'll.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Right now, I know you will. And you know Hallmark
Channel is doing Christmas in July? Right now?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Are they really?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
I forgot about.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That all month long. You've got your Christmas love stories
on Hallmark Channel?

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Do they repeat the stuff that would normally air during
Christmas time? Is all it is?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
We would have to ask our expert, our friends Sabrina.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Oh yes, Sobrina, who is a big friend of the show.
She loves Christmas in July.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Yeah, she loves all the Hallmark movies.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Wow. A couple of nice texts coming through by the way,
going to work, Love you guys, and who.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Else coming home from the gym?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Coming home from the gym at six h nine You're
coming home from the gym. Wow, that's impressive right there.
And thank you for all the nice texts that are
coming in at four four three six three. We want
to hear from you for sure. And we've got three
pretty cool things coming up next. More Cobby and Christine
coming up. But first, did you.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Know the only continent with no active volcanoes is Australia?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
How about that light FM? Oh? Pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
It's three pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Things you need to know. Hey, if you're feeling stressed out,
listening to a cat purring can help. And if you
don't have a cat, not a problem. There's a website
called purly dot com p U r r l I
dot com and let you listen to customizable cat purs
The site features a per engine that mimics real cat
purring sounds, allows users to adjust the tone and intensity

(03:01):
to suit your mood, from happy to sleepy, and it's
not just for humans. Users say it really comes in
handy with anxious kittens, or if you're away from your cat,
you can leave it on. That's so sweet, but that's
pretty cool. I thought, Yeah, Christine, what would be your
cool thing?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I am deciding that this is a cool thing, and
I hope you're with me. Women are embracing messy hair
and clothes in the trend frazzled English Woman. So what's
in right now, according to TikTok and Instagram is messi hair,
mismatch clothes. They said, think of characters like Bridget Jones
and Kira Knightley in her rom coms, and they just

(03:36):
kind of show up as they are. They wear what's
in their closet. They embrace the wind swept chaos. They
don't care about the makeup being perfect. They said. It's cozy,
unbothered and effortlessly cool.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
So almost like you're disheveled a little bit, like.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
And it's okay, it's okay. Yeah, you don't have to
be perfect.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
So you're looking like a mom basically, Yes, you can
call it mom.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
That's the name of it. Kristin what's your cool thing?

Speaker 3 (04:01):
If you like cereal for breakfast cinnamon toast crunch. They
have teamed up with Hormel for a new bacon flavored cereal.
You can get a six ounce bag at Walmart's starting today.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
It still has that cinnamon taste. They just add the
bacon flavor on top of it, so you have that
savory and that sweet going on. It's five dollars and
eighty four cents, and I agree with you. I'm not
one hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
Sold on it, but you know, don't knock it till
you try.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
That's exactly you might like it.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Covey, Right, But you and I Christine both looked at
each other when Kristin was doing that story. You're like,
but all right, we'll try it, all right. We got
more variety from the eighties through today coming up next.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next. Don't light out them.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Hey, you want to smell like your mom? Well we'll
tell you how. One of six point seven light FM.
That's why I grab you and get you in here. Covey,
Christine producer Kristin. We have a story about what tweens
are doing. They're trying to find the fragrance their mom's war.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Right, we're talking about young moms here, right.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
So late nineties or allies.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
It's like all the rage, so everything all is new again.
So for the tweens, this is like a new discovery.
So producer, Kristen, you remember the nineties very well, right,
we sure do. Okay, So Victoria's Secret bath and body
Works remember those scents were in. They were more like
body sprays.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Yes, the big one was from Bath and body Works,
cucumber melon. That was the that was huge, and you
were every girl did, really every girl did.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yes, it was everywhere a lot of times they discontinue
those fragrances. But Victoria's Secret has kept Heavenly oh wow
going since nineteen ninety nine. And the tweens are now like,
I want that. Oh they were trying to find these sents.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Do they know the smell? Are they trying to find They.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Might know the smell because their their mom had it
or was it?

Speaker 3 (05:51):
So if I walk into a Victoria's Secrets, you think
I can find Heavenly?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
I think so yeah? Wow, I think so yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
And so the boys are looking for obsession and Juar
and Jukar for you know, since their dads were that
in the nineties.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Can you find those?

Speaker 1 (06:06):
I don't know, I don't know. Curve was a big
one for the guys.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Curve, Yeah, it was called Curve.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah. The model the guys used to Yeah, well in
the nineties, I was a polo sport guy. And uh
Jupe and Jupe j Opie if you if you smell it,
I think you would recognize them. I'm sure obsession was
a thing.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
You didn't like. The geo that was another big one.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
All that you know, I know the name. I don't
think I ever wore.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
But anyway, and enough of the guys. This is about
the tweens. The ladies are looking for fragrances that remind
them of their mom.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Like their mom, It's just that these places have retired
a lot of the sense. But the one they can
get is Victoria's Secret, Heavenly Wow, Bath and body Works.
I think they still have like candy Apple, they still
have like an right.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah, there there are some old ones that I still
I think. I want to say they brought cucumber melon back.
Oh they might have.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I feel like you could find any set you want
at a flea market. That's a good I was at
a flea market over the weekend and there was a
guy selling like all kinds of stuff. Oh wow, He's like,
you name it, I probably have it. And I threw
out one to him and he had it and like
the older the older stuff. Yeah, yeah, So how they
hold up? I don't know. I don't know, but I
hit us up at four four three six three. Do

(07:17):
you want to smell like your mom? I don't know.
What's the question here?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Like these old scents? Do you love them? Or can
you still get them?

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Hit us up more Covey and Christine and a great
music variety you expect next on light at that.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
You're looking for something to do this summer and maybe
haven't picked we're gonna go on vacation. How about some
bathroom camping? You can do that, right, We'll tell you
about what bathroom camping is here, Light FM, Covey, Christine,
producer Kristen go ahead. Bathroom camping.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Apparently it's a thing. Covey. There's a little bit of
a trend happening, and of course people are documenting it
on social media like TikTok and Instagram. But people are
saying when they feel overwhelmed, especially in the workplace, they
go camp out and the bathroom. They take a time
out basically and spend some time in the bathroom. They said, uh,

(08:06):
sometimes to the point some people are going in there
for a couple of hours. I don't know how you
get away with that. I don't think you can. But
just when there's overwhelm to go in there and more
likely take five.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, you know, number two or four or three, right,
take five, Take five. But I'm saying, well, this has
been going on to me for a long time. This
isn't anything new, not for me personally, but I feel
like there's always someone out there hanging out.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
I've been to parties where we've lost people in the
bathroom and and it's it's honestly, it's because of this
overwhelmed thing, like people have social anxiety and then it
becomes too much and they're just by in the bathroom
for a long time.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Yeah, Kristen, I do this at home, oh oh all
the time. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
I when the kids they're just rambunctious, I'm like, mommy
needs a minute, I'll go hide out in the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Actually, you know what I've been doing recently at home, peeing,
sitting down just because I don't that's what Any extra
time I can take in the bathroom, Like Christy just said,
to get away from the kids for a minute.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
I thought you didn't want anybody to know where you were,
And you think that's quieter.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
No, no, no, I just like, you know what, maybe I'll
check my email while I'm at it, even though I
don't have to do the other one. I'm doing number one,
So you're just gonna sit for me. I'm gonna take
a breather, Yes, take a little breather. Check up on
Instagram and TikTok. Get away from everybody.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
And see the other people who are camping out in
their bathrooms. Basically is what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Right, Does Ryan, your husband Kristin ever catch on like, hey,
you've been gone for a hot minute. Yeah?

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Sometimes sometimes yeah, but while I'm in there. But I
just some cleaning, you know, like I get some stuff
done in the bathroom, clean clean the bathroom while I'm
in there.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Florox wipes.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Give us a text if you do any bathroom camping,
or if you know anybody at work that does it,
love to hear from you. At four four three sixty
three and we'll get a crazy first date ready for you.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Coming up next more Covey and Christine coming your way
online at them It's.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Covey and Christine's crazy first date.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Hey Christine, we have Jen on the phone. And Jen
met her crazy first date in a weird way. How
did you guys link up?

Speaker 5 (10:20):
So we actually met online, but before there was like
the online dating scene. I emailed him by mistake and
we kind of like communicated for about two years, oh,
just emailing each other back and forth.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
So how did you email by mistake? Were you like
one letter off? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (10:41):
I was one number and it happened to be that
he lived where I went to college, so he knew
like the business I'm talking about and responded back and said,
I think that you didn't mean to email me, and
you meant to email somebody else, but I know exactly
where you're talking about. And then we just started talking
from there.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
So why two years before you got together?

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Well, I was with someone else and he was with
someone else, and we were kind of just like each
other's diary. We never met. He didn't really know anything
except what I told him, and he and I only
knew what he told me. So we just communicated that
way and it was like a safe spot to like
vent and no one would ever find out, you know.

(11:25):
So then after I broke up with my boyfriend and
he broke up with his girlfriend, we still communicated for
a little bit and then finally he was said, I
think we should meet.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Wow, this is just like the movie You've Got Mailed, by.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
The way, It's.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Totally it was before that, okay, and I wish that
we like spent that script. And because we could have
been millionaires by now.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Oh yeah, yeah, you could have been shopgirl.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
This is like quite a build up for that first meeting.
So how was it when you two first saw each other?

Speaker 5 (11:52):
So when we met, he pretended he was on a
pay phone because he wanted to see what I looked like.
And then he approached me and said, you know, are
you And I said yes, and we hugged and we
started talking and we talked till like three o'clock in
the morning. And then our actual first date was we
just went to a restaurant and then after the dinner,

(12:14):
we walked on the dock where there's like boats around it,
and my heel got stuck in the deck and I
had to snap up dean dress on and I fell
and tumbled all the way down like the dock and
landed on my back with the dress completely unsnapped. I
didn't get hurt, just my ego was her. I was

(12:36):
like so embarrassed.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
So where are you at with this person right now?

Speaker 5 (12:39):
We have three daughters, we're married for twenty five years,
and I guess when he saw my dress open, he said,
you're the one for me.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
That is awesome, that's amazing. Well, listen, Jen, we appreciate
your story, and for that, we want to give you something.
You and your hubby on a date here.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Going to see Sebastian Maniscalco. He's coming to Northwell Jones
Beach Theater August fifteenth. Tickets are on sale now at

on and you're in.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You've got mail, goodbye.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Got a crazy first date story you want to share,
go to our Morning show page outright at them dot.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Call now the nearly impossible question.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Call eight hundred two two two one oh six.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Seven and we have a great prize today. But first
that question, Christine.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Coubby, Twenty four percent of people say they would buy
this if the price is right.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
That's kind of a hard question. That could be a
lot of things. Can we give a hint?

Speaker 2 (13:36):
No, like really two hints?

Speaker 5 (13:39):
No?

Speaker 1 (13:39):
All right, I'll give a hint anyways. Hello, Hey, one
hundred two two two one oh six seven. You want
a pair of tickets for the Jonas Brothers and Marshmallow
come in to met Life Stadium August tenth. Tickets on
sale now at ticketmaster dot com.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Twenty four percent of people say they would buy this
if the price was right.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Line thirty two, what's your guests?

Speaker 5 (13:56):
My guess is a haunted house?

Speaker 1 (13:58):
A haunted house in the world?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Did you guess that's right?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Was it that hit that helped?

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
But I wouldn't do it.

Speaker 5 (14:06):
I wouldn't buy it.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
You wouldn't do it?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
No, not worth it.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
We're going to discuss this more. But congratulations. What's your name, ala, Alice?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
We've got a pair of tickets for you to see
the Jonas Brothers and Marshmallow coming to met Life Stadium
August tenth. Tickets on sale now at ticketmaster dot com.
But you are in, Alice. Congratulations.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Hold on one second, Kristen, we'll get your information So
would you buy a haunted house? Christine Kristen. You know,
usually it's usually it's a good price, but then reselling
can be difficult. It can, but it might be on
the market very very inexpensive because it's haunted, and you
wouldn't do it. Huh, none of you guys?

Speaker 2 (14:44):
No is it? I mean, is it a friendly ghost?
I don't think so, doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. Nope,
just don't want one hanging around. No, not even Casper
can get me to with you.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
You know, I believe some states have laws requiring to
disclose if anything has ever happened, and they or any
significant events have ever happened.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
Oh boy.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
I don't know if what's the deal with New Jersey
and New York or Pennsylvania or Connecticut. But you know,
if you're a real estate person, hit us up on text.
I'm curious. Four four three sixty three. They're like, did
you have to know of a house is potentially haunted legally?

Speaker 2 (15:17):
I thought you had to reveal. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
I just like this music.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
The music is really cool. It's not that we're gearing
up for Halloween.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Yeah right, yes, one hundred and eighteen days or something.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
I think it's a Halloween what's the Disney really quick?
That Disney package for the Haunted Mansion.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Oh yes, is that going to be a collector's item.
There's like a Haunted Mansion gift thing you can buy.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
Yeah, So what they're doing is Disney actually already released
a lot of their Halloween Haunted Mansion collection because they
celebrate Halloween now pretty much. So that's what they're giving
to influencers.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
They are giving that away. It's an influencer Disney.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Yeah, you have a podcast about this.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I mean, I'm not that cool unfortunately, but you want to. Yeah,
you should happen to those.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
We got ya. We'll find one for you.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on Light at Them Goo.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Good Morning A two with Covey and Christine. All your
headlines now with Christine. Good morning and.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Good morning Cubby and very sadly the death toll is
now more than one and one hundred after that catastrophic
flooding in central Texas.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah, it's just awful what's been going on. And it
just gets more and more sad it does.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
With the search and rescue teams continue today there are
ten children one adult still missing from the girls camp
in Kirk County. Coast Guard member Scott Ruskin, who is
from New Jersey, is credited with saving one hundred and
sixty five people in those flooded waters, and it was
his first mission as a Coastguard swimmer.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I've seen him on TV a couple of times already,
and he's well spoken and such a humble.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Guy yep, saying how the children were so brave and
inspired him. Yeah, an incredible experience. I'm very grateful for him.
Travelers at several airports are getting a little bit of
a break right now. They're doing what they call a
soft launch TSA, not asking you to take your shoes off.
This is just at a few for starters, though LaGuardia
Lax Philadelphia might get through a little bit quicker the

(17:13):
security line if they keep that up. And of course,
Amazon Prime Day starts today. We've got four days. Consumer
experts say that they will probably be selling billions globally
over these next four days. They caution against price anchoring
tactics that make discounts look better than they are, so

(17:35):
just research.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
I was watching Kristin. I'm sorry, I was kind of
like looking at your computer and you're just ad to
carte ad to cart ad to cart Well, you know,
I'm sure my wife is doing the same thing.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
And then go back and check though, yes, you know,
like do it and then okay, yeah, think again.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Do you really want?

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Right?

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Do we need this? In sports, the local teams were
off last night, so the Mets play the Orioles tonight.
Yanks played the Mariners at seven, and FIFA has a
match coming up up today at the Middle Lands at
three o'clock.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Could be some traffic around the road three area.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
Yes exactly. And is it true that nice guys finished last.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
Well, I'm just finished, but go ahead person.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
No, no, no, no, couldn't be further from the truth.
Researchers found that when young women rated men's faces, they
were more likely to rate those that had positive qualities
like kindness or honesty as more attractive. And people who
are kind are often perceived as more attractive because they're
seen as more considerate, empathetic, supportive. And these are the

(18:31):
qualities that we are looking for in long term partners.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Them Well, off the air here at LIGHTFM, we've been
talking about haunted houses for the last fifteen minutes. It's
Covey Christine, producer Christen, So we got the answer to
the nearly impossible question at seven fifty five. The answer
was yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Percent of people said they would buy this if the
price was right, a haunted house, and I said, no,
I wouldn't do it right.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Then we went to a commercial break and when the
commercials were playing, we're all talking about it. Here in
the room. Two songs played. We're still talking about haunted
houses and our experiences and would we really buy a
haunted house?

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Yeah, I've had some wacky experiences that I said, if
I share, you're just gonna think I'm crazy.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
So well, you're a true believer that there's definitely something.
There's definitely things.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Don't understand what it is exactly right. Kristen and I
were discussing this, is it trapped energy? Is it ghosts?
Because I kind of like to believe we move on,
we don't just stay in the houses.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
But and how come some people see them more than
other people? Like have you been chosen? Because you know
you go back in the back in the day, you know,
like you were this is your third life around.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Oh yeah, you wonder about that too, yeah, yeah, and
why you're attracted to certain places and time periods and yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
What was the text we got to about disclosing if
property is haunted.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yes, someone said they must disclose that information if the
buyer asks. So if you're going to buy a house,
and I believe this might be be for New Jersey
