Speaker 1 (00:00):
Leahn rhyme. Your version of rocking around the Christmas tree.
Lots of different versions of rocking around the Christmas Tree.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's a fun song.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
It is a fun song. It's one of six pointy
seven NIGHTFM, New York's Christmas station. I'm Kubby Nina del
Rio and for the vacationing Christine Naggy.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
She's looking at Christmas markets in Germany. It's pretty nice.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Correct. Yes, she's in Cologne right now for a couple
of days and then flies back to Munich to do
the Christmas markets and then follow her on social the
Christine Nagy. I saw her posting last night. Her and
Eric were hanging out a like you said, at Christmas market,
which is just beautiful. We have good markets here in
New York.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
But she's all she's still on the Christmas tip like
everybody else.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Yeah, because we're the Christmas station. Yeah, she had to
do something Christmas based.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
It's in the contrast.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Hey, I want to say happy Holidays to a local business. Okay,
I live in East Brunswick, New Jersey, but right next
door to me, like literally we're on the border of Milltown,
New Jersey, so I could be in Milltown in one
hundred feet for my driveway. And I had a nail
in my tire yesterday. Oh but I had enough air
to get to town Foreign and Domestic Auto Repairs. And

(01:03):
I pulled in and they were super busy. I mean
you could barely park. So I went and I said, hey,
I have a flat. At the time, I didn't know
it was a nail. I just said, I have really
low air. I know something's wrong. Can get check it.
And the guy goes, it's going to be a long time.
You see how busy we are. And I said, I
get it. I get it all right, I'll come back.
And he goes, let me see what I can do
for you. And then another woman came in and saw

(01:24):
me talking to this gentleman. Yeah, and she saw my hat.
I had one o six pointy seven light a f
m uh huh. And she says, I love light FM.
Who are you And I said, I'm Cobby. Oh my gosh, Cobby,
I love you. And Christine in the morning, I said,
thank you so much. Here, we'll get you in so thankfully.
Light at them. Look at that got me a quick patch.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
It's the Christmas spirit, it is, and.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I just want to thank them very much. So it
was Pete who was amazing, John amazing, and Linda who
is also amazing. Linda like keeps the books there, she
keeps people on track. And she told me her key
to a long life because she's sixty nine years old.
But she didn't look it. She told me she goes
sixty nine, she looks fifty five. I said, what do
you do? You look amazing? She says, you know what

(02:05):
I do. I wake up every morning naturally at five am,
and I have a bowl of ice cream. Really, I said,
what I didn't ask her flavor? I thought about that.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
I live in a great life.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Her first meal of the day, not coffee, not cereals, cream,
a bowl of ice cream. You go, Linda, Wow? Anyway,
thank you again. Just want to give them a plug
Milltown Foreign and domestic auto repairs.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
She sounds like missus Claus, doesn't she so lovely?

Speaker 1 (02:30):
She have kind of like the Misclaus glasses going on.
But again, I said this in the beginning of fall.
Check your PSI or your tires by the way, yeah,
cause you seriously.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I mean when it's on par it's good for gas
mileage too, by the way.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Right, and with the cold weather we've been having. You know,
the tire the pressures. Yeah, yes, so you want to
go and fill them with air. But that had nothing
to do with what I went through. I just had
a nail on my tire.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
But that's a real thing. You had a nail in
your tire.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Coming up, we have two pretty cool things. Have you
found one?

Speaker 2 (02:59):
By the way? Have actually?

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Can you give me a hit what it's about.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
It's a little bit about parties. It's the holiday season.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Okay, I haven't found mine yet, but I will.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Wow you, you just gave us a cool thing right there,
that entire story.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
That was the gift of giving, you know, getting me
into the lift for my tire repair. But I got
a cool thing for you. Next on linepl Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
Next on light at Them.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Okay, I need to tell you two cents. Coffee and
Christine's two pretty cool things.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I found this pretty cool. I was on a sports
website reading an article about water boys, water boys and
water girls in the NFL. If you're watching an NFL game,
they went out in the field with their I don't know,
little bottles and they squirt it in the player's mouth.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Sure, okay, they make good money.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah, fifty three thousand dollars a year, really is your
average water boy or water girl. And then some make
up to seventy five thousand dollars when you add in tips.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
They get tips. They get tips a pair where they
got a five in their little pants there.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
I don't know. Maybe at the end of the game
a player goes, hey, man, you hook me up a
few times here you go, and over the year it
adds up, so they get gifts. Right, yeah, maybe that's
part of the two.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Maybe they're also running errands and stuff like that, like
going to get your keys in the car. Just water, right,
got to be more than that.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
But I shout out to NFL water boys and water girls.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I didn't know they had girls.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
They do, they do? Okay, cool, what do you have?

Speaker 2 (04:20):
I changed my cool thing to something about getting dressed
because people are getting dressed for work right now. I
thought that might be more useful. You know, how you
wear the same jeans for a few days in a row,
and maybe even the same T shirt a few times,
no problem. Can you wear the same pair of socks
four days in a row?

Speaker 1 (04:35):
Not four days in a row.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
You cannot. If they're made out of cotton, wool or
synthetic fibers, which basically is everything. You should only wear
them once to prevent smelly feet and avoid foot infections.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Okay, what about two days in a row with socks.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I think you can get away with two really, especially
if they're like big wool, which tells you all that's true.
Mine are like, I'll be full disclosure. Second day on
these socks. I'm only here for four hours. Yeah, and
you take them off when you get high, exactly, and
they're wools, so you know, Okay, I feel like they
deserve another day.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Well, I'll do a sock check tomorrow. Please don't if
we go three days at Okay, hey, unwrap the holiday
season with Paris Baget. We're looking for caller ten right
now one one hundred two two two one oh six seven,

Speaker 2 (05:40):

Speaker 1 (05:40):
All right, making sure one a six point seven light FM.
We are New York's Christmas station. Cubby Christine, producer Christen.

What do you have for us?

Speaker 2 (05:52):

What are you doing in December? That is just December
style stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Well, we're putting up decorations, we're drinking eggnog, We're having
We're going through neighborhoods and looking at Christmas lights like
producer Christen last.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Night, like everybody else in Freehold.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
New Jersey. By the way, check out our story on
h on our Instagram page one O sixty seven light FM.
Uh huh that is up there from her drive last
night through Freehold. Kristen has it up.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Oh that's awesome.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
But there are a lot of beautiful places.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah, Dyker Heights has all the lights.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
Famous Yeah by by the way. I know you're about
to get into something. Yeah, but text us if you
know of neighborhoods in your area that have really great
light shows. Everyone has their lawn decorations out, the houses
are all lit up. Four four three six three. I
would love to drive by sounds creepy.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I'd love to drive by your neighborhood the car with
the light FM tag. Yeah. Most Americans have you know
things they like to do during December. Number one on
the list, according to a poll, is listening to holiday music.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Well, you found the right place, Hello.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Thank you so much. Watching a holiday movie Number two, okay, awesome.
Always go look at lights. Exchanging presence is on the list.
Drinking hot chocolate. Let me go a little further down
the list. Wearing holiday pajamas so comfy. You know, I
like wearing my pajamas all day when I don't have
to come in.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I have one pair of pajamas specifically for Christmas Day,
and they have you do they have a flap in
the back.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
You use that flat I'll ever get used by any
human ever.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
The too many buttons just pull your pants down.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Too much work, Attending a holiday concert or play.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Which I'll be doing today, Actually, what are you going
to do? I don't know if I could even mention it,
but I guess I will. So there's an iHeartRadio holiday
pop up party with Pentatonics tonight and it's being recorded
to air next week. But we're going to be high
top of the Empire State Building with a bunch of
listeners and I'm doing a Q and A with Pentatonics.
They're going to perform and we're gonna record the whole
thing and play it back next week.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
More details coming up.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
So it's more than just attending a concert. It's being
part of the.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Thing, part of the thing.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Sure, Sure. Doing a Secret Santa. Okay, we don't do
a Secret Santa here. No, I feel like you three
should have done a Secret Santa, you and Christine and
Kristin because it's hilarious. There's only three of you.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Well, we're a small enough show. We just give gifts,
you know, but if we had a big show with
a bunch of people, that'd be fun.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
Yeah, okay, And kiss someone under the missletoe. That's something people.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Do and you're thinking, thank goodness, there's no missletoe here
right now? That's not.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at them.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
Hey, if you really want to feel fest of this
holiday season had too. Buffalo, New York. Really no offense Buffalo,
but that was surprising to me. They just snagged the
title of America's most Christmasy city. Buffalo boast up to
eight hundred holiday events, a European style Christmas market, and
a quirky Tom and Jerry drink trail. It's like a

(08:46):
boozy eggnog thing. They get more than twenty five inches
of snow in December.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
This is what it is. Trying to cheer themselves up?
Or do you events with the snow? Right? Like you
could have a ski lift in the middle of town.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
But they have a fifty nine percent chance of a
white Christmas. Sure, Buffalo is base a Christmas movie come
to life. And here's a bonus for you. Hotel rates
hover under one hundred and seventy dollars on Christmas, so
you can splurge on holiday cheer without breaking the bank.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
But you gotta go to Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
But you gotta go to Buffalo. Runners up include as
far as Christmas Ey Cities, Aspen, Colorado, Park City, Utah
in New York City. All right, so we make okay,
top five.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I have a different list, by the way, where Buffalo
is number ten. Okay, this is a Christmas list. That
is the Christmas hotspots per square mile.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Oh, it's a Christmas hot spot hot.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
You know, so cool things to do in smaller sized cities.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
On the one I have, Buffalo is number one, and
the one you have Buffalo's number ten.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
You know what number one is. You don't have to
go very far. What Jersey City? Jersey City keeps showing.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Up, don't we show up in the top of something. Yeah,
that's amazing.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Jersey City number one in the country for Christmas hotspots
per square mile, Number two, Wilmington, Delaware. Okay, number three
though Newark? Who knows Newark? Right there?

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Get out? All right? So that's a hot spot.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
It's a hot spot right across the river.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
You did not know Buffalo is a Christmas y Christmas
the hot spots and Christmasy, which what do you want?

Speaker 2 (10:10):
This is some serious science.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
I know we're learning something here.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at them?

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Can you pretty get it? In trivia. That's a question.
Once you stop testing yourself, you get slow. Answer my
question or you'll be signing before the map New York's
Christmas Station. What is six point seven light FM? Cobby
and Nina and for Christine this morning? Time for a
trivia battle for an amazing prize? Or shall I say prize?

good morning, are you going to bring a victory to
our team? Bring it on? I got some good questions

Is it a a rose, b an orchid? Or see
a daisy orchid? That is correct?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Tied up one to one? All right, Frank? What body
part can't touch the ball in soccer, unless, of course,
you're the goalie? A head, B, hands or C chest rights?
It's your hands and it is two to one with
Frank in the lead. You need this for the tie, Gabrielle.

Goode morning, and good morning everyone. President Trump is turning
up the pressure on Venezuela, telling Politico he won't rule
out sending US troops and saying President Nicholas Maduro's days
are quote numbered. Yesterday. President Trump also kicked off his
national tour touting his economic agenda with a campaign rally
style speech in the Poconos. New York City elect Mayor

(15:20):
Zoron Mamdanni met with real estate leaders and homeless advocates
Tuesday to discuss how to simplify the process of getting
the unhoused off the streets. And Australia is rolling out

under sixteen from having social media accounts. In sports, the
Knicks over the Raptors one seventeen one oh one, Devils
beat the Senators four to three and the Islanders beat

Yeah?

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Did I get six hours of sleep?

Researchers found that sleep was more effective in predicting a
shorter life expectance see than any factor except smoking. So
do you smoke?

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I don't smoke. Okay, I do drink. But other than that,
the lack of sleeper, lack of sleep hours you think
would be pretty good. I go to bed at nine
fifteen ish and the alarms at three point thirty.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Once your kids are a little older, when you have
a little more play in that, will you get more?
Try and get more.

It's not about the kids anymore, No, they actually their sleepers.

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
