Speaker 1 (00:00):
The fighting over a light. Kristin and I were talking
about our kids and Miles is obsessed with a little
key chain light. That's all. It is a.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Little like flashlight, like one of those tiny little uh
you're in the dark and needs to see your car.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah, wow, yeah, and they're nail. Me and Myles fight
over every day. And we're talking about this with Kristin
a minute ago, and your kids are going through the
same thing. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
We have the same flashlight you have and for some
reason there's only one, because why would we have two
of them? So of course they're fighting over it.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yeah, and it's obnoxious.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
That so funny.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yep. Miles got out of bed at two in the
morning last night and he was crying, and I said, buddy,
what happened? Do you have a do you have a nightmare?
He was, no, I can't find my flashlight.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
He took it to bed last night and he lost
it under the pillow. Anyway, they love this flashlight.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
And this is from when we did Touch a Truck.
Is this tech? Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yes, remember that.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
We were doing Touch a Truck and they were handing
out these free flashlights and there you go. All right.
By the way, speaking of lights, we're light FM. Hi there, Hi,
thank you for turning on the light. Cobby Christine producer Kristen.
I brought a gift in today. I'm gonna share so Coco.
My wife found these at Target. I ate a whole
bag in about fifteen minutes. This is not a commercial,

(01:14):
by the way. This is something that I'm kind of
into that I want to share with you. I told
Kristin about this yesterday and you actually said it didn't
sound very good. Correct, they are. It's popcorn flavored as stuffing. Wow,
popcorn flavored stuffing, limited edition. It comes from a company
called Good and Gather. Again, you can find this at Target.

(01:35):
They did not pay for this, but I'm so excited
about it. I want you to try it live on
the air.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Okay, okay, here we talking flavored thank you popcorn. Oh
he poured a plate for us.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Reaching into a bag with other hands.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Well yeah, so, okay, I feel like we're on Food Network.
He playedd it. It doesn't.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
It doesn't smell like anything like. It smells like popcorn.
It smells like regular popcorn.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
So give it a shot. All right, ready, Kristen flavored popcorn.
It'll get you ready for Thanksgiving. No, no you know, no, no, no,
you haven't given it enough bite. No you have not. No, really,
you're checking out already.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Christ It tastes like Dorito's cool ranch Dorito's.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yeah, what's the problem with that?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Is popcorn? I don't like that?

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Really? But don't you like stuffing? Yes, that doesn't taste
like stuffing, like stuffing. I don't know, Christine. I'm going
If Christine says no, then I'm concerned. Maybe it's just me. Well,
but cocoa and I ate like a whole bag together.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
I wish I'm thrown off because I wasn't expecting this taste.
You want to try again?

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yeah, try again.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I think you have to get it going, you know,
you get to get a flow.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
No.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
No, wow, Well I'm glad you're honest. I appreciate that,
but I thought for sure you'd be like, oh my gosh,
So your instincts are right, Kristin.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
All right, Christine.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Christine's really really thinking about.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
It, you know, because I love popcorn. Yes, it's got
the what's the main spice that's in stuffing? That's what's
coming through.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
I don't know, what like a seasoning you put on it?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
A seasoning.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yes, well you're talking to a guy that doesn't cook.
Is talking to the wrong guy. But do you think
stuffing right now? Christine? Is your mouth thinking stuffing?

Speaker 2 (03:22):
No, not necessarily, but just the one. There's one flavor
that pops when you're having stuffing right and it's yea
is it? And is it's one of the seasonings?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Any chance it does? Say on the bag time, perfectly seasoned.
Add fall flavor to snack time with stuffing popcorn. These
delicious bites with blend of herbs and spices are perfect
for sharing and savoring. Enjoy the season.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
That's what I'm getting, the herbs and spices. Yeahsmary, something
like yeah one of those guys. Yes, well, if.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
You tried it and you know about this text us
it four fourth six.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Three, But not like a full rounded stuffing experience, just
one of those of one of those seasonings.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
What about the wah wah gobbler? Do y'all like that?

Speaker 3 (04:09):
I don't eat turkey, so nor I eat the stuffing
and everything else. Vegetables, No, no, cranberry sauce, the one
in the can.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
One in the can's got to go in the bathroom.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
You have to have it in the can.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Ah, that is not what we were saying.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
That's from a national Lampoon vacation. I think Chevy Chase
was on an airplane. He's like half a diet coke
and the flight attendant said, do you want it in
the can and he's like, no, I have it right here.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
I'm so sorry I didn't.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Yeah, that's very obscure. Tried, you tried, all right, Well
I like it.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Christine Celery Seed, Yes, that's what I feel like I'm tasting.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Okay, Well, I'm a fan again for stuffing popcorn. You
can find it Targets an orange bag. I love it.
Kristen is not into it.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
I'm gonna keep beating it because I like popcorn.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
There you go, and we're gonna give you three pretty
cool things.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Next more Covey and Christine and the great music variety
you expect Next on Light.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
At Them bon Jovi on LIGHTFM. Good morning Cobby and
Christine one O six point seven light FM, And speaking
of bon Jovi, look pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
It's three pretty cool things you need to know Kristin.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Your cool thing evolves bon.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Joviy Oh perfect, Yes, And I'm very excited for this.
I am a huge bon Jovi fan, so our very
own Jersey Boy bon Jovi announced four shows at the
Garden next year. It's the first time since twenty twenty two.
Don't forget he had the vocal cord surgery, so he
was recovering from that. So they're finally the band's getting
back together. They are kicking off the Forever Tour at

(05:46):
the Garden. It's July seventh, July ninth, July twelfth, and
July fourteenth.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
All right, right, let's rock and roll. All right, what
do you have? Christine uh covey.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
You know I'm a big fan of HGTV. I think
you are too, but especially their show house Hunters. Well
good news. Oh, they have ordered four hundred new house
Hunters episodes, very cool, including house Hunters International. It debuted
back in nineteen ninety nine, by the way, so they've
released over twenty four hundred episodes so far. And also

(06:18):
brand new coming to HGTV is Neighborhood Watch.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
What's that It is.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Going to be less about the house but more about
the people who live in them. Ooh wow that sounds
intruyat Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
All those shows are so addictive because one will come
to an end and then they'll go right into the
next one and they'll suck in for their half hour.
It's amazing, all right. A my cool thing involved something
that happened around what twenty four years ago? Yeah, two
thousand and one. October twenty third today, two thousand and one,
the iPod was unveiled from Apple. Do you remember that. Yes,

(06:50):
of course that was a big deal. It went on
sale November tenth, two thousand and one, for three hundred
and ninety nine dollars. It held one thousand songs. But
it was on this date they made that bignouncement. I
remember I had to get one, and I think I
still have my land around somewhere.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh I do, Yeah, me too.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
I would love to know what's on it, me too,
right right when songs are on it? All right, We're
coming right back with more tunes you love on light FM.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light FM.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Jackson's on light FM. We Gobby and Christine in the
morning along with producer Kristen. That's getting us ready for tonight. Yes,
we're gonna be in twelve hours. We're gonna be dressed
up like zombies. We're gonna get all zombie fied like
we're in the thriller video.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
And then we're taking a bunch of light FM winners
or walking down the block and we're checking out MJ
the Musical, which is all about Michael Jackson at the
Neil Simon Theater and we're doing that tonight, looking forward.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
To I mean, this is fun because we're going to
be here at the station, so our friends and listeners
will be coming here. We're gonna have a pizza party
thanks to John's of Times Square, right while makeup artists
in our Nick's studio makes us up to look like zombies.
And then we all walk over to the theater and
and let's hope it's open.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
You know what, you we got to keep it real, Christine,
You're right, it's in the back of our mind. Yes,
there is a possibility of a musician strike, right, and
we make it word on that gosh now and like
ten am.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I mean we're kind of I'm waiting, I'm like constantly
looking for breaking news right now because the musicians may strike.
They have yet to reach an agreement with the Broadway League.
Actors had just reached an agreement but they will strike
as well, not strike, but they'll walk the picket line, Yeah,
to support, to support the musicians and the stage managers.

(08:35):
So yeah, most theaters would be dark.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
But as of now six thirty nine am, it's a go.
We're on.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
We think we're on.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
We're on tonight.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I mean, if we get all zombified and walk over
there and then.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
We're going to be arrested that Halloween. It is Halloween time,
right right.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
I mean, if nothing else, we're having a pizza party
and getting made up.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
To get exactly then we're going home. If there's a strike, I.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
Really hope the show goes on. I hope they can
work this out. Musicians deserve it. They're so wonderful, and
they're so so wonderful, and they're such an integral part
of of what's happening at the theater. Yeah, you know,
live theater. It makes it.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Maybe you know the answer to this question. I don't
want to put you on the spot, but I was
talking to our friend Danielle Monaro down the hall about
an hour ago, and she said, there's one show not
affected by the musicians strung.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah, rag Time, Ragtime. Why use I believe they're at
Lincoln Center. And it's a different like it's not the
Broadway League. It's it's somebody more than I do. Okay, okay, yeah,
that's my very non technical answer. But yes, rag Time
won't be affected.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Rag Time would go on.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Ragtime would go on. That's it interesting because it's not
it's not Broadway League. It's like different produce something to
that effect.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
But again than I could.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah, but everybody else so, and I know people, you know,
even if you're not coming with us tonight, you're waiting
to make your plans. Are you coming in to see
a show. There's tourist here. Everybody's kind of waiting for work.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
And if you have tickets for a show tonight, as
of now, it's a go. But we'll keep you posted.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
More.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Covey and Christine in the Great Music Variety you expect
next on light at them.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
We've got parents in the room. You tell us when
you two, when your babies were being born, did you
have playlists?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
We actually didn't. It was just the sounds of people
talking and beep.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Beep, yes, so was oh the hospital and Kristin did
you know no songs? No? No?

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Okay? So people do they need motivation or call me.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Or yes, yeah, kind of to get you through because, uh,
there is a list that came out of what moms
prefer what they're listening to when they're giving birth. So
this is a research study from Eye Candy. They did
the list across the country. And I'll name a few
of the artists that moms giving birth tend to ask for. Okay,

(10:57):
and then we can get into the songs. But a
pairly it's Coldplay, Ed Sheeron, Fleetwood, Mac, Elton John and
Billie Eilish.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
It's our next hour music some.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Of the top songs. Would you want to know the
specific songs that moms are requesting that I want to know?

Speaker 1 (11:13):
And I have some hand to hear in the computer.
Let me see if I have them all. I don't
know if I have them all.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Are you coming in at number four?

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
With It's Beautiful one by Elton John.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Your song by Elton John is number four on the list.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Kristin, can you imagine giving birth? And the song song
It's a little It's a great song. It's a beautiful song, but.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
You're not in the moon for it when you're okay, are.

Speaker 2 (11:38):
You in the mood for number three Yellow by cold Play.
I don't hate it, but I'm mad at it. It's
another gorgeous song.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
It's one of those songs that could be on in
the background. You don't have to really focus on it, right,
It's just kind of calming.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
I think. And the words are so gorgeous too.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, it's a pretty song.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, so it makes sense. Yeah, he's not getting into
the lyrics here.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But as a radio guy, by the way, I love
this song because has a long intro.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
This is a very long intro. I was kind of like,
I wanted you to hear some of the lyrics.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Let's hear some of the words. Here we go Yellow,
cold Play, you're having a baby, pop it out here.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
We go.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Stop.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Definitely they shine now I'm gonna cry it right everything.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, they were oh yellow.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
All right, See that's gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
I dig it.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
That's gorgeous. Okay. Number two Fleetwood Mac Landslide.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
All right, you're having a baby. You're about to push
for the final time, and this is on.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Landslide.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
I love the beginning. Oh you're saying what you say
in the beginning here, this is for you, daddy, here's
your baby. You go nice and calming again. Is it
more about the lyrics though, or the calming of the song.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I think it's a combo. I mean, if you listen
to El and John, this is your song, and especially Coldplay. Yeah,
that that is gorgeous. But the number one song that
moms are requesting as they're giving birth to their babies
is Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. He comes
a song, it comes as up.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
I would I would pick this one. Yeah, out of
all the four are great songs, all of them. But yes,
if I had to pick one, it would be this one.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Yeah. I love this song. This is so gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
Guys are all wrong because I'd pick this right. You
need some up tempo music and you gotta push it.
How about this right when the baby comes out?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Talk too soon?

Speaker 1 (13:53):
I just heard this an hour ago.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
And there's a little bobo song now too, you know, yes, no,
there's it sounds like that like a little kid singing.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Yes, we don't need it.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Oh, just wait till it's in your head.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Okay, yeah, all right? Do you have the news comment
up next?

Speaker 2 (14:08):
I do, Cobby, So we'll get through the top stories
and if you're dealing with clutter, one solution to letting
things go.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
All right, we'll talk about that next on light FM.
Take us into break with the number one most requested song.
As you're giving birth.

Speaker 4 (14:21):
He comes more Cobby and Christine and the great music
variety you expect next on light F them.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Is it true, Christine? Is it true? Kristin? Yes, boo
baskets are back, my boom. It's boo basket time, little
boo thing.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Oh no, and he's to get you a boo basket
light FM.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
So what's the deal. It's not just for kids that
it's for friends.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Now, Yeah, Kristin, you've been following this trend on on
TikTok about the the boo baskets.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yes, yeah, if you literally, if you just type in
boo basket on TikTok, you're going to see the videos
you're about to explain because.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
It's here's boo basket.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Another thing.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yes, all right, I've got to be honest. If Eric
showed up and he had a boo basket for me
with the kind of things that we're seeing happening on TikTok,
that's okay. But please don't expect us all to be
able to do this because we can't. So a boo
basket started with I guess you would say, gen Z,
where was talking? Gen Z? Right?

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Pretty much?

Speaker 2 (15:25):
Yeah, leaving a note that says you've been booed, and
you put together a basket of not just candy and treats,
but something really nice and trendy, like maybe uh slippers
and stuffed animals and candles and mugs and Stanley cups
and iPhones.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Oh my, you know what it sounds like. You know
how the Oscars give out these crazies, yes, or the Grammys.
You've got a big gift basket for the celebrities. Only
the celebrities get it. It's like that. It's like that,
but not maybe not that kind of level.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
But well, in our world, yes, it's us going and
buying those things. You leave it for someone you've been booed,
and they're supposed to pay it forward and get a
boo basket for someone else. So it turns out that
you know, maybe your friends are getting a boo basket
or your partner, but kids are now wanting boo baskets
from their parents, and I know you guys have your

(16:17):
hands full.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Well, I mean, look, I think my wife, I think
we did this last year we put something out by
their door when they woke up on Hallowey morning and
that's cute. It was just a candy though it wasn't crazy.
It was like car keys in there or something. Right.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Well, that's the thing because once you start every year,
that's the problem. That's the problem.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Okay, have you done it, Kristen, No.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
So the one thing we do do My grandmother did
this when we were kids, is she would give every
grandchild a card, a Happy Halloween card, and she would
put ten dollars in it. So you know, we kind
of do the same thing every holiday for other than
Christmas obviously for our kids. But there's no basket with
a stand only cup and one hundred dollars worth of stuff.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
That's crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
The good thing is, like your kids are so little, Kristin,
I don't know if they're onto this yet. No. Yeah,
and maybe this trend won't last forever. You might, you
might feeble to go under the radar with this one.
But yeah, if you're expecting it's it's like they just
keep upping it.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Great text from nine to seven to three, she or
he wrote, So now boo baskets are the new swag.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Bag yes, lol, and they kind of are right exactly
like I said, no complaints. If Eric wanted to surprise me.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
You would take it, You would accept it for sure.
All right, your thoughts on a boo basket four four
three six three, give us a text more.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
Cobby and Christine come in your way on light at.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
That he's defrosting. Yeah, yeah, yeah, get ready for all
I want for Christmas. I want to six poty seven
Light FM, Cobby, Christine, producer Christen. So it is time
now to play a flashback track and you have to
identify the title and artist of this now. I'm excited
about this song. Stein's excited. You are really excited, Kristin.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I am finally doing this all right.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
This is a great song. By the way, it was
I think the biggest hit for this band. They've had
a few, but this was their biggest. And what are
we giving away, Christine Naky.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
We've got a pair of tickets to see Brian Adams
with special guests Pap Benataur and Neil Giraldo. They're coming
to Madison Square Garden on October thirtieth. Tickets are on
sale now at ticketmaster dot com or you can guess
this song?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
All right? Title and artist of this snippet? That's quick,
very quick? That is two two one oh six seven?
Who's singing this? Good luck?

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Light of m more Cubby and Christine and the great
music variety you expect next on light at them on.

Speaker 1 (18:43):
Six point seven Light of mcubby and Christine. All right,
time to get the answer here of our flashbacktrack? Can
you identify this song by this snippet title and artist?
High light offm title an artist of that?

Speaker 2 (18:55):
Good morning?

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Is it enjoyed a silence by depe body? We have
some very knowledgeable music fans, you guys. What's that really
obscure for you guys? Yeah, we're living on the edge here,
Light FM A little crazy. It was a big song
for Depeche Mode in nineteen ninety. Who are we talking to?

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (19:16):
This is Hillary? Where are you from? Hillary? I'm from
westm Long Island. Cool? What's the good news for Hillary? Christine?

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Hillary? You've got to take us to see Brian Adams
with his special guests Pap Natar and Neil Giraldo coming
to Madison Square Garden October thirtieth. Thank you so much.
Would you believe he was the first constant I signed
nineteen eighty seven. Oh wow, this is coming full circle.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
Thank you so much, so much.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on Light that that on us.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
Six point seven LIGHTFM, Covey, Christine, producer Kristin. The show
will be happening. We're so excited. So we came in
this morning. We're pumped about our MJ the musical, all
about Michael Jackson if you didn't know MJ the music.
And we're getting zombiefied. Is it zombie.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Fiedie zomba fide. I mean, we're kind of making up
the word, but.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Yeah, we're going to look like the Thriller video. Yes,
And we're hanging out with winners tonight and we're going
to check out the show. And we came in this
morning a little worried because there's a possible musician strike. Right,
it's been a verdict, it.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
Has so they have reached a tentative agreement. The musicians
on Broadway and the Broadway League reached a tentative agreement.
There will be no strike. The show will go on
to yes, all the Broadway shows.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
That's amazing.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
So that is wonderful news.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
Yeah, we were worried about that. It was in the
back of our mind, you know, bout this morning, knowing
what we were going to do, and pumped about it. Right,
it's thinking there's a two percent chance it might not happen.
It's happening.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
I'm so glad that they were able to work things out,
and it looks like the musicians are doing well in this.
I'm really glad because we honor them.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Great News and all the Light FM winners. We will
see you tonight in our building as we get all
zombi fied and then walk over to MJA the music.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Right, so we've got the pizza party right, The Times
Square is gonna feed us, and we'll go into the
Knicks makeup studio and we'll be zombified, and then we'll
walk over together to see I'm Jay the musical.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
And scare people.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
Well, it is Halloween, so there's that.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Let's walk up to random people as are walking blo.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah again, we're in New York City. Will they even
notice that?

Speaker 3 (21:18):
That's true?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
That's a fair that's fairpoint. Hey, we're also pumped about tomorrow. Man,
the trailers they have been so amazing. Springsteen Deliver Me
From Nowhere. It's been called the best film of the year.
I can't wait to talk to Harry Medved tomorrow about
this movie.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Oh yes, because he gets to see sneak previews and
it looks like it's going to be absolutely wonderful. Golden
Globe winner Jeremy Allan White is playing Bruce Springsteen. He's incredible.
Academy Award nominee Jeremy Strong also stars, and We're toll.
Jeremy Allan White delivers the stunning performance of Springsteen, portraying
the man behind the music and how he struggled to

(21:54):
reconcile his roots with the fame and the weight of superstardom.
And this is one you want to see the.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Theaters absolutely, twentieth Century Studios. Springsteen Deliver Me from Nowhere.
You can see the story behind the icon. Only in
theaters tomorrow. All right, it starts tomorrow. It might be
a preview going on.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Oh yeah, you've got some tonight.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
You got some tonight.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Can get into some tonight for sure, and then yeah
you'll find it Light FM.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
Cobby and Christine in the morning, more coming up one
O six point seven.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Light at that, Cobby and Christine here and all your
news with Christine. Good morning and.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Good morning Kubby. And yes we did get the good
news that Broadway theaters will be up and running tonight.
So the Musicians Union have reached a tentative deal with
the Broadway League and they have averted a strike. So
if you've got show tickets, you're good. Show is going on.
But there is no clear end in sight to the
government shutdown. We're heading into day twenty three. Here, the

(22:47):
Senate failed for the twelfth time on Wednesday to pass
a funding bill that would have ended the impass Three
Democrats voted with Republicans and supported the bill, but the
votes still came up short. And here in New York
City yes day, we had the final debate in the
race for mayor. This is the final debate before we
come up for the vote. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says

(23:09):
the decision to have Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl
halftime show is a wonderful decision, telling reporters that Bad
Bunny being for Puerto Rico is a great artist and
one the leading and most popular entertainers in the world.
And he said he doesn't think there has ever been
a halftime performer who didn't receive some type of blowback
or criticism, but they are very proud of their choice.

(23:31):
Ballet dancer Misty Copeland took her final bow at the
American Ballet Theater after her trailblazing career was a beautiful
curtain call. She was showered with golden glitter and flowers
at Lincoln's Center. In sports, the Next beat the Cavaliers
one nineteen one to eleven in their home opener. That's
lost to the Hornets one thirty six one seventeen. Hockey
Devil's beat the Wild four one, And we have Thursday

(23:52):
Night football tonight, so we have to make our oh picks.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
By the way, we'll go over our survivor pool coming
up next.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Okay, but the Vikings will play the Chargers this evening.
And how long does it take to bounce back from
a breakup?

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Now, I've heard it's like a for every month you date,
it takes a week, that's what I heard. Like a
long time half.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
It like if you've been going out for four years,
it takes two years. But psychologists say for your self
esteem to build back up after a breakup, it takes
a full year. And they say it doesn't matter if
you're dating other people or you're single during that period,
your self esteem takes. It takes a while to recover,
all right, So you give yourself a good year to heal.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
Kristen just looked at you and just turned away, like.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
Girl, it's a long time.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
It's a long time, right, if you're going through it.
If you're going through it, we feel you. You've been there.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
It's thanks at least a year for me.

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yeah. Yes, light FM, here's a song if you're going
through a heartbreak.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
More Covey and Christine and a great music variety you
expect next on light F them it.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Is a Thursday. We've got some NFL football tonight, which
leads us to talk about our survivor pool. Yes, an
update on this.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
You and I are hanging on by a threat.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Christian and I are barely hanging in there. It looks
like Christian's going to win breakfast, right, yes, so sure,
last person standing is going to win breakfast. And if
you're standing the whole time, Kristin, you get two.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Breakfasts, you get a couple, all right, choices.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
Who are you picking this week? Christine?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
You know I like to refer to them as the shoehorns,
the cults, the Colts.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
Yes, thank you. Somebody texted last week when you said
that and they thought that was hilarious.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yeah, well, I mean that's that is what the little
picture is.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
It's a shoemark, the Colts playing.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
They are playing Tennessee and.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
You've never picked Indy before, so you're allowed to pick them.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
And what is the what's Tennessee?

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Are the tight?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Okay? Yeah, yeh yeah, thank you.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
All right, that's a good pick, solid pick. How about you, Kristin.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
I am going with the Patriots over the Browns.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Oh that's easy. Yeah, I know that.

Speaker 3 (25:52):
That's why I have no strikes.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
I know you're really good. You're really good. You rub
it in, why don't you? Huh? And I am taking
and this might be my third strike. I'd like living
on the edge. Yeah, clearly. Denver Broncos. They will beat
the Dallas Cowboys. I think you're right. That game is
in Denver. Dallas not having a great year and they're
not bad, but not having a great year. And I

(26:15):
like Denver at home. Oh okay, mile high. You know,
sometimes teams have issues with the altitude. So and I
think the Broncos are still fired up from that incredible win.
You know, they came back from nineteen down. The Giants
were beating Denver last week for most of the game
and then they just came out of nowhere and won.
So I like Denver.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
So they're feeling good. So our game coub you and me.
Our game is Sunday at four five.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Yes, we both have four twenty five games.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Yeah, by both on CBS at the same time. That's
what it says.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Well, depends on where you are.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
It depends on where you are.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Oh, thank you you guys here in New York.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
We might in New York, we might get the Titans game. Okay, no,
you know they probably put the Cowboys on here right
in New York because it's America's team.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
They're not doing a very good job. I don't know.
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
And then when it is Kristen's one o'clock on Sunday, okay, okay,
so probably know kristin before. That's right, you and me?

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Right, all right, I don't know somebody's when at breakfast.
It looks like Kristen. Because again, if you haven't been
keeping track of this, folks, we've been playing the survivor
pool with strikes. So three strikes you're out and we
already have two. Christian and I there we go.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Sur christ Yeah, I too.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Let's do a contest here. If you're tuned in right now,
we appreciate you very much. Caller ten. What do you win?
