One O six point seven l FM. It is six
oh seven Cubby, Christine, producer Kristin. Three people doing the
work of ten for the good of millions on this
hump day, May twenty first, and the burning question we
have today, Christine, will you make it through the show
with your voice?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Can I do? Like I have to stay in a
certain register, right, this is my this is my low voice.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Your news was good that you did a few moments ago,
but you could definitely tell that you're not one hundred percent.
Like if you're an iPhone, yeah, you'd be like, we'll
be your batter batteries at your batteries at thirty percent.
I'm gonna say forty five, maybe even fifty percent.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Kristin, We're okayty, Like just where you panic, like, oh no, are.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
You a charger?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, it's gonna turn red soon, Yeah, exactly down.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Well, we got your back all day long. I know
it's tough being on the struggle bus.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
It's it's hard because again, you know, if the job
were a little different, I probably would have had to
is a call out or call in sick?

Speaker 1 (00:59):
I never do right, but call out probably calass sick.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
You get up at three o'clock in the morning and
you don't have a voice, and who you gonna call?
So I'm I hopefully am like exposing you guys to anything.
I'm sorry, I've been.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
I feel comfortable though, for like two weeks.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
I'm cool with our distance. Okay, how far do you
think we are? Christmas?

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Over here?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
I'm probably maybe six feet from Christine?

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Wow, five, I'd say five five, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
Lay down across the encounter and we'll find out.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
For those listening, it looks like a triangle kind of
how we're shaped here because I'm at this little thing
with all the buttons. We call it a board, and
then to my left is Christine. To my right is Kristin.
And Kristin and Christine, you guys are also about five
feet away, maybe a little closer.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Kristin might want like to put some type of shield up.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Oh, I have children, don't worry. Don't worry. My immune
system's great.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yeah, mind too, That's why I'm not worried either.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Strong guys.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
You mentioned in the news the passing of George went
at only seventy six years old. You know him, you
love him? From Norm from Cheers and that was really sad.
Just it feel like you lost a buddy.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Right, Yeah, I feel like it hit a lot of
us like that. And I didn't realize so many of
our friends that works with him and we're saying what
a wonderful person he is.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And yeah, and you know what's crazy? He passed away
yesterday May twentieth. Do you know May twentieth, nineteen ninety
two was the final episode of Cheers. Wow, how crazy
is that? That is all right, we will go into
break with the cheer steam in honor of George went
He will be missed.

Speaker 6 (02:31):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light at them.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Pretty cool.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
It's three pretty cool things.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
You need to know.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
And this is fun believable. Chicken burgers are America's favorite burgers.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
You know that?

Speaker 6 (02:46):
Really?

Speaker 1 (02:46):
This is according to door Dash's analysis of orders placed
on its platform in twenty twenty four. Plant based burgers
are the nation's second favorite patty, but chicken burgers are
America's favorite burger. But over all, plant based burgers are huge. Now, wow,
and I don't mind those, actually, I prefer a regular
burger to be honest with you. But you ever had

(03:07):
a plant based burger.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yes, yeah, I don't think I have.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Christin you haven't. No, surely not bad. Yeah, they're really
catching on. They're good the healthier option. They say, all right, Christine,
what do you have with your by the way, not
one voice?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
So if you're planning a road trip for Memorial Day
and you're someone who gets car sick, then you want
the hand sanitizer in the car. I think we all
have it now anyway. But if you take a whiff
of hand sanitizer, it can actually settle your stomach even
better than some of the anti nausea drugs that you
can get good on that doctor.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, my kids always get car sick, especially with my
wife driving. Love you, honey, But she's a little like gas.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
Break gas does stop go, stop go.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
She doesn't really stop much, but she guns it a
lot of times when the light turns green, floors it.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Yeah, it's like Mario.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Right, what's your cool thing?

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Kristen So Selena Gomez is the latest celebrity to create
her own signature Oreo So. Her cookie has two layers
of cream filling, one that's going to be chocolate and
a cinnamon blend, and one that's sweetened condensed milk with
a hint of cinnamon sugar. And some of the cookies
are actually going to have her like her signature embedded on.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
The cookie, which is pretty cool. That'll stand out from
the other oreos.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
That's so cute.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Yeah, yeah, yes, So let me guess you're going to
bring some men probably in a week or two. We're
going to test them live on digital, right for our
social platforms like we did the post Malone.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
That's right, why not?

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Let's let's feed us some oreos.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Why not anything for digital? Tony molt One of sixty
seven light FM.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you
expect next on light aut that okay.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I want to thank everybody out there for their thoughts
and prayers yesterday as I went to the DMV, I
want you to know that I successfully got my renewal
and my real ID.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
I appreciate that, and I was very nervous about it
because you have to go there prepared, and you one
nod of no, and then they kick you out, and
then you're fearful of having to make another appointment and
come back and do it all over again. A month later,
but everything went great. I went to a place in
New Jersey that I never heard of. I already forgot
about the name, Delenco, Delmonico's great stake place, Delenco, right,

(05:18):
thank you. See, she remembered Chris. That's why she's an
awesome producer, Chris to remember. So I went down there
and they were like, uh, you know, you need your
need your points. You gotta get six points for renewal,
nine for real ID. He's like, do you have a passport? I?
Do you have a Social Security Guard? I do? Do
you have a utility bill?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I do?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
What else do you want? And that's all we need?
And then boom boom boom, and I had to wait
another line and then really, yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
You were able to do the two at the same time,
or did you have to do like your license renewal
first then get on another line and do.

Speaker 4 (05:49):
Your real life.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
So you say, I'm here for my renewal, okay, but
I want to upgrade to real ID while I'm here,
and they and that's what they did that they put
renewal and they stamped the thing. It's an upgrade to
real ID because it just took it so happens the
timing of my renewals right now. So really you just
kicked in right. So I got it done and it
was it was kind of easy, breezy. I was in

(06:10):
and out in about forty thirty forty minutes. That's great,
And it was you know, it's all about that appointment.
Make an appointment, and.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Then boom, what about the picture?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
So the first picture I took, they rejected it.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Uh huh?

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Why said I was smiling too much? That happened to me,
but they said, you can smile, but not too much.
They go, she goes make the smile look neutral, and
they have examples. They had a poster he had had examples,
and it's kind of like, I know this is radio
you can't see, but if it was audio, it would
sound like this.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
So it's like, you're trying to teeth.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Do they want no teeth in the smile.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
That you well, there's a picture of somebody showing teeth,
but it's a very weak smile.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It's like, I'm sort of happy for you.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Asu. Yeah, took it a second time and then went
that's approved.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
So and you can't do it head till I had
to learn the hard way because I like, I have
a certain angle. I always go for right. No, don't try,
And that's.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
The picture you're gonna have for ten years. I know
it's every ten years that you have to go in
and renew it in person. You can't do it by
mail for life.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Well, if you don't like it in four years, yes.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I did have one scare, and I'll leave you with this.
As I'm driving there, I'm ten minutes away, like it
was an hour drive. I'm ten minutes away, and I
said to myself, Oh my gosh, I forgot the renewal
notice they mailed me. Oh, I'm thinking I have every
single document I need, but I forgot the actual notice
and said renew Are they going to say you need that?

(07:42):
Get out of here Lo and behold? They said, oh no,
you don't need that unless your license expired, and my
license expires June first.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Oh, so you just did it.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
I was like, if I did all this work and
I'm gonna it's gonna fall apart. Now, I'm gonna be
so mad. But anyway, it's done. I feel better. Thank
you for the love.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
More Covey and Christine and the great music variety you expect.
Next on Light at them.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
The news this morning today is the deadline that's set
by the Trump administration for New York City to end
congestion pricing. But once again we're told the cameras are
not going off. The FAA limiting Newark Airport to a
max of twenty eight arrivals and twenty eight departures per
hour until June fifteenth. We have better news for travelers
in New Jersey on Read eighty and Wharton. You know

(08:26):
we've had the sinkholl repairs happening for quite some time. Well,
two eastbound lanes are set to reopen this evening. And
sad news yesterday that Cheers star George Went has passed
away at the age of seventy six. Health officials are
sounding the alarm about a possible measles exposure at a
Shakira concert. It was just on Thursday night MetLife Stadium.

(08:47):
Fifty five thousand people were present. If you think you've
been exposed, of course, you need to check with your doctor.
Sports Yankees beat the Rangers five two Mets lost to
the Red Sox to nothing. So you want to announce
the nixt covey because you've got more energy voice.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
It's a Big ninety our game one of the Eastern
Conference Finals taken on the Indiana Pacers, and the Knicks
have home court advantage. Indiana took them down last year,
so it's revenge time this year.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
For the next case, it's gonna be good. And is
it okay to use a coupon on a first date?
I know we've done these surveys in the past and
it was always a no no, and now it's officially
okay according to this latest research. As survey found that
most Americans said using a coupon is perfectly acceptable sixty
one percent. So they like to see that their partner

(09:32):
is frugal. They think it's very attractive.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah, I agree, nothing wrong with the coupon. What do
you think, Kristin, I'm all for it. Yeah. I know
you haven't done a first date in forever, either of I.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
But a very long time.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
But yeah, I think it shows your money conscious and
all that. Now, let's talk about Christine's voice. It's so
sultry today. It's not one percent, but it sounds lovely.
I am say, how you, Dylan dar Even when I
feed her line, she can't do it, can't she?

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I can't say, hey say Hey, baby, I know I'm getting.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
This when I go home.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
I know I know more.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Cubby and Christine and the great music variety you expect
next on Light at them.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I want to six point seven Light FM with Cubby,
Christine and producer Kristen. Speaking of movie soundtracks, We're gonna
play a little game here, right, Christine.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
These are the top ten movie soundtracks of all time?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yes, loving her sultry voice today, Christine, So again, how
are we doing this? Because I don't usually I play
a game with you guys. I know the answers, and
I throw you guys questions. I don't know where you're
going here, So what are we doing? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (10:39):
So there is a list of the top ten movie
soundtracks of all time. It was a survey done. This
is to celebrate Dolby Laboratory's sixtieth anniversary. And this is
a little harder than you think it.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Will be, I think at least.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
All right, Christine agrees, this is the top ten.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
This is the top ten.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
I'm gonna let you guess a couple movies and we're
gonna see if they if they landed in the top ten.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Are you playing, Christine or do you know the list?

Speaker 3 (11:03):
You know it, but I know you're usually good with
this stuff.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
I think I am.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Let's see how we do.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
I am kind of talking smack right now because off
the air, I'm like, well, I got this. Yeah, Purple
Rain's got to be in there.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
It is not.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Oh, this list sucks.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Already at the little button.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
What a terrible what? How could Purple Rain not be
in the top ten?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
It's not argue everyone, but the come on, that.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Should be number one.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
It's not there even in the top ten, in the
top ten.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Stay alive, like the like the what's the name of
the movie? Well, yeah, Sauray Night Fever, number two, number two.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
This is pulp fiction in there?

Speaker 4 (11:46):
It is number nine? Wow?

Speaker 1 (11:49):
You this well, I'm still nervous that Purple Rain isn't
in the top ten though.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
Okay, so you're really stuck on purple is because it's
not there?

Speaker 1 (11:58):
All right? What about now? The Beatles had a movie
called Help. It was a soundtrack.

Speaker 4 (12:04):

Speaker 1 (12:07):

Speaker 2 (12:11):
No should be number one?

Speaker 1 (12:14):

eighties or more seventies in there. American Graffiti had a
good soundtrack.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
No really, yeah, so I can't give you hints.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Oh wait, wait waitum not pretty in pink.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
But whatever your guess is no, no, no, man, are
you thinking like brat Pack?

Speaker 4 (12:37):
No, back to the Future. That was one of my guesses.
No it's not.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
No, it should be the top ten I've only gotten
to so far.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yes, oh, let me give you number ten.

Speaker 1 (12:46):

Speaker 4 (12:47):

Number seven, Star Wars any of the Star Wars.

Speaker 4 (13:27):

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Makes perfect sense.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
It does. There were great like instrumentals and stuff, but
Harley Radio air play.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Well you know that's no, that's not what.

Speaker 4 (13:41):
That's not where this is going.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Number six, Now you're gonna kick yourself Top Gun.

Speaker 4 (13:47):
That's that would be Covey kicking the trash cans.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
I should have said that, and I'm mad at myself.
That was the first. That was the first CD I
ever bought, the Top Guns soundtrack.

Speaker 4 (14:01):

Next on light FM, Jack and Littlepill.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
The name of the album. That was a huge album too.
I think every song was on the radio right what
a six boy seven light FM. It's Cubby Christine producer Christen.
That album came out in nineteen ninety five. But the
last time the Knicks, the New York Knicks, were in
the Eastern Conference Finals was the year two thousand, so
it's been twenty five years since the Knicks have been

(18:49):
this far. Of course, Game one tonight Eastern Conference Finals
taken on the Indiana Pacers. And if we win this series,
Christine and Kristin, we go to the NBA Finals, which
would just be massive, and uh, you.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Know, we don't know who we're who do we be yet?

Speaker 1 (19:05):
Don't want to get too far ahead of the game,
But if the Knicks beat the Pacers in this series,
they'll be taking on either the Minnesota Timberwolves or the
Oklahoma City Thunder. Yes, okay, and the Oklahoma City Thunder
won Game one of their series last night. But let me,
this is hard to believe. I mean, twenty five years
ago seems like kind of like a minute ago, like
the year two thousand, but it's actually quarter of a century,

(19:28):
and these are all the things that have This is
what was going on in the year two thousand. The
last time the Knicks were in the Eastern Conference finals,
Tom Brady had yet to win his first Super Bowl.
Now he I think he's won like, what seven super Bowls?
Seven or eight. Actor and Nick superfan Timothy Chalome was
only four.

Speaker 3 (19:48):
Favorite person love Timothy Shallo may No.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
What do you mean by that sarcasm?

Speaker 5 (19:53):
I'm just not the biggest fan of the Knicks or Timothy,
But you know it's okay, I love them.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
It's a it's a love hate. The last time the
Knicks were this far in the Eastern Conference playoffs, Bill
Belichick's current girlfriend wasn't even born.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yetts, they're engaged.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
I heard she's putting it out there. She said it
didn't she yes, yeah, not one confirm, but yeah, the
PlayStation two was released. The free iHeartRadio app didn't exist,
so if you wanted music on the go, you had
to get the old Walkman out. Uh. The last time
the Knicks were in the Eastern Conference Finals, there was
no such thing as Netflix. Actually it was around, but

(20:35):
you had to mail in the DVD. Yes, right, you
couldn't stream. In two thousand, Uh, Colby and Shack had
just started playing together. They also went on to win
a few championships. The first iPhone wasn't released yet. What
phone did you have in two thousand?

Speaker 4 (20:50):
I could tell you I didn't.

Speaker 3 (20:52):
You didn't have a phone LG.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Kristen didn't I had.

Speaker 5 (20:56):
I was in seventh grade forgetting that baby.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
I probably had GT Moblenett and I probably had the
Big I think it was not a brick phone, but
you can only play Snake on it.

Speaker 4 (21:08):
Oh the Nokia, Yeah, that's what.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Kind of was the phone to have?

Speaker 3 (21:13):
I always had LGS.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
The last time the Knicks were in the Eastern Conference Finals,
the first text message was sent and uh, finally, who.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
Patrick been addicted? Ever since? Sorry?

Speaker 1 (21:24):
I yeah, we don't talk anymore since two thousand and Finally,
the last time the Knicks were in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Patrick Ewing was still on the team. He's now sixty
two and he's an ambassador for the Knicks. Wow, but
he's sixty two now, great player and one of the
best of all time for the New York Knicks. So
go New York, Go, New York Go. Game one tonight,
Eastern Conference Finals.
