Have You Ever Gone Somewhere Famous And Ruined It?

Wait until you hear about this story of tourists in Verona, Italy.

Seven oh seven Tuesday morning. Thank you for waking up
with us, Cubby Christine, producer Kristin And have you ever
gone anywhere famous and ruined it? Like Clark? Remember Clark
Griswold backed in the stone hinge in vacation. Somebody did
something in Verona, but not New Jersey, Verona, Italy.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Right, Verona, Italy. There's a couple who went into a museum,
the Mafe Palace, and there's apparently a chair. It's called
the Bango chair. It did not belong to Vango, but
it looks like his chair, and it's made out of
Swarovski crystals. It's considered priceless. And this couple wants to
pose sitting on the chair. So I don't know if

their husband or wife. You know, it's a guy and
a girl and she kind of hovers over it and
he takes her picture, and then they switch and the
guy sits on it and she goes to take his
picture and it goes booth. It just completely breaks beneath him.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Oh, I gotta see video.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
And instead of telling security, you see the on camera
like oh oh, and they run. They just get out
of the museum and leave this broken chair. So they're
on camera. We've got them, but the museum's not going
after them. They said there was a sign there warning
visitors please don't sit on this chair.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Well, I'm saying, yeah, I'm on their side, I mean,
not the museum side. I'm on the couple side. The
museum get and run. They didn't do a good enough job,
the museum at protecting it.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
They said, it's clearly marked.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Well you need more than that. Then you need rope
around it, you need you know what I'm saying. It's
a good point, not just a sign. Apparently that didn't work. Well,
not for this couple, not for that couple.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
They're not in true it looks like the museum's not
going after them because they were able to restore the chair. Okay,
but they're saying like, please be respectful. You know when
you go to these places and you see these signs.
So you're going to Rome.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yes, we're going to Rome tonight actually and we're gone
for a week. What could I what could I ruin?

Speaker 2 (01:57):
No? No nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Let's see what's there. Well, chip away at the colise
don't chip away at the Colissey, and don't chip away
at the Vatican. Is there a famous, like well, the
Mona Lisa's in Paris.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Right, yeah, all right, Oh, there's so many famous, beautiful
works of art. I really don't want to see you
in the news for that reason, like global news cubbies
on the news that he did something in Italy. Yeah,
you're gonna get in a lot of trouble. There was
like years ago a guy chipped away at the Piazza

in the Vatican. He like chipped off the Remember that.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I do remember that, Christine. Yes, that's in the last
three or.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Four maybe maybe a few few years back. I mean,
that's super serious, priceless work of art. Yeah, he chipped
off the toe, and I think they had to put
it behind glass. Don't be that guy.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I'm kidding. I would never do that. Maybe I'll trip
and fall in the gift shop just for video, like
into like a section of like little like statues.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
No, you don't want to take those out either.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
