Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of those six points seven light FM. It is

(00:02):
Jack and Christine and producer Kristin and Kristin do I
say that? Right? I keep thinking like it's coming out wrong.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
That's okay. Some people say Christian, that's I'm named after
Christian Slater, so it's close enough.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
After who yeah, I am.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
You never knew that? Huh?

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Now I do? Now everyone does?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
There you go, wow, little known fact.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Oh okay, So how long are the kids out of school?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
You had too long?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Right?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
It seems like a week.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
The little ones are graduating from their preschool in their
kindergarten and they're so so adorable, And Kristin, you've got
two little ones at home. Yes, and did you know that?
This sounds awful? But kid rotting is a trend, so
you know how bed rotting has been a trend for
us to just stay in bed all day and take
it easy.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, there's a.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Trend going around right now for the summer. And parents
are saying, maybe don't overbook the kids, like let them
be bored.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Oh boy, and.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
It's cold, kid rotting just lounging around. They said, let
them daydream, make make believe in the backyard, or do
whatever they need to do to keep themselves busy.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Kid rotting. I don't know if I like that term,
but I don't like the term either. Do you ever
just send them, well, they're kind of young to be
on their own and without supervision, But do you ever
leave them in the room and just say, guys, come
up with something.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
They're they're very good at independent play, and then they're
also very good at playing with each other. They're only
two years apart, so so they you know, still working
on the sharing of this.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
But they get bored, like what every five minutes?

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Myself, my four year old does, yes, and he is
very vocal about it. He will tell me, Mommy, I
am bored. I'm like, well, you know, a Jagger figure something.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Out, buddy. You're yeah, you're gonna have to figure out
how to learn to deal with that.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
And he graduated a whole week ago. You're just like
just getting start a week sounds right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
And only from pre K three. That's the funny part.
He's just going to pre K four. So we got
a we got a long way. Wow. Yeahkn you now.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Like I only had one care I think I wish
it was your biggest problem that you're bored like you know,
it just is. It's so different for adults from kids.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I was going home on the train one summer and
I saw these five kids just on the corner on
their bikes, looking at each other, like what do you
want to do? What do you want to do? And
I want I want to be in that group. I
know I want to have nothing to do. I know
I want to be I want to be bored.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yep.
