Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, what's a good movie to watch based around the

(00:02):
Fourth of July. We have them for you. It's one
of six pointy seven LIGHTFM Cubby and Christine producer Kristen
Happy get Away Thursday or is it Getaway Wednesday? Or
is it pretty much get away week? It is Thursday.
It is Thursday, this Thursday, because I thought it was Friday.
So a lot of people hitting the road today. You
maybe at your destination already, but everyone's getting ready for
the Fourth of July. But you know what, if you

(00:24):
have some time to chill and maybe watch a movie
on Netflix, and you want to find the perfect movie
that has something to do with the Fourth of July,
there's a website called the Pioneer Woman dot com and
they put together a list of movies that are perfect
to add to your watch list. And here are the
top fifteen. I'd like to discuss with you because some
of these make sense. Some of these I kind of
scratch my head, Like number fifteen. It came out in

(00:46):
nineteen seventy two, but the movie is called seventeen seventy six, right,
didn't see it, but just for the title, you can
tell Okay, we can go with that. Yeah, Hamilton, Yes,
which came out in twenty twenty. Remember that that was
a big deal when you can finally see it, get
us through the pandemic. Forrest Gump at number thirteen, which
came out in ninety four. At number twelve, Air Force one.

(01:09):
I believe Harrison Ford was in that, Yes, nineteen ninety seven.
Did he play the President? I did? Okay, that was
a good one. Number eleven. Mister Smith goes to Washington.
That's from nineteen thirty nine. I know that's a big
yes for me. So you've seen that because you like
the classic movies, Christine, Yeah, is it good? Do you remember?
Really good? It's excellent? Really Yeah? Okay. Apollo thirteen is

(01:31):
at number ten, that came out in ninety five. Captain
America the First Avenger at number nine makes sense. Yeah,
Kristen Ewan too, that kind of stuff. Marvel. I'm not
a big Marble, right, you're shaky on Marvel. Yeah. A
movie I've never seen, National Treasure, came in number eight.
La I believe Nicolas Cage. Yes, that's so fun. That's fun. Again.
These are all good movies to watch for this weekend.

(01:54):
Live Free or Die Hard Number seven from two thousand
and seven, An American Tale Number six from nineteen eighty
six cartoon. Was that like an animated Kristin Do you know?
I'm not sure making her Google? I thought you might know,
just because I didn't know if it was Disney. Oh yeah,
an American Tale. Yeah, it's really cute. The Sandlot at
number five. Wait, here's my question. I've never seen the

(02:17):
whole thing. Christen, You've given me a hard time about it.
I know I probably love it, but to me, it's
a I thought it was a baseball movie. It is.
It's one of those just like all American Oh okayball
apple Pie? Yes, yes, very much the same as Rocky,
which is number four, the original Rocky. You know you
got the red, white and Blue pants Philadelphia. Yeah, that's
American pants. Yeah. And number three a movie called The

(02:41):
American President came out in nineteen ninety five. Remember that one.
I don't either. Number two Top Gun in eighty six,
and the best Fourth of July movie to watch Jaws
eighteen seventy five. Oh boy, I believe it. It takes
place where they try to like they want the beach
to be opened Fourth of July weekend, right, And that

(03:01):
the theme of the whole I think so. Yeah, and
it is the fiftieth anniversary. There's been a lot of
Jaws talking. That's right. You get scared off of going
to the movies not on this list? And this is crazy, right,
I know the answer, Christine? What movie was not on
the list? Was there a movie called Fourth of July? Close? Close?
Was it? Independence Daydence Day? How is that not on there? Right?

(03:21):
Somebody missed that one? Space Aliens? Yeah, Will Smith, Yes,
We'll Smith. Okay, maybe maybe that's you know, it's not
very American Aliens. You know, I'm a title alone. Come on, right,
But I tell you what, this weekend, I think you're
going to be outside, not watching movies. A great looking weekend.

(03:42):
Sunshine pretty much most of the weekend, and we'll be
in the eighties. You might have a thunderstorm this afternoon,
but for the most part, we got a great weekend
otherwise
