National Mascots Day

We remember our school mascots throughout the years.

I do. I know it's pure sugar, but man, root
beer takes me back to the old root beer float

I don't think I've had a root beer and I
don't remember.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Actually, what about a regular beer eight hours ago? Different?
Today's National Mascot Day, a day to honor those wearing
fuzzy costumes.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Can you? Does anybody remember their high school mascot? I'm
gonna throw high school out there. I grew up in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, and we were the Patriots and we
were in Our colors were gold and blue, gold and blue.
Oh very nice. Do you remember yours, Christine? Yeah, we
were mascot, the Golden Lions Gold. We were also gold

and blue like a royal blue. Really okay, whatever you
call about you?

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, Macila. Of high school, we were the Spartans, the Spartans. Yeah,
we were our colors blue, yeah, blue, white, something like that, Yeah,
definitely blue.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Do you remember middle school? We were the Seahawks in
middle school, and we were the Lions in elementary school. Wow,
I don't know how I remember that.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I don't know how you either. So I went to
I went to Catholic Grammar school, so it's kindergarten to
eighth grade. We were the Warriors. But my eighth grade year,
our class got to decide the new upcoming mascot, and
to this day they still have that one.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
It's the Knights.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
They're called the Knights.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Now. So didn't you tell me off there? You've been
a human. Every mascot a human.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah. So my my grade school we were the Warriors.
High school were the Spartans, and I went to Seaton
Hall we were the Pirates. I've always been a human.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
Right, You've never been like a an animal like tiger.
I'm thinking of bear, any yeah, any any animal. Lion.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I love being a lion.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Yeah, well you maybe you were born in the Year
of the Lion. Who knows? Oh? Okay, now conversation, Yeah,
