NFL Survivor Week 2 Results

It's only the second week and one of us already has a strike.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Middle of the month, Kubby and Christine on this Monday,
September fifteenth, Kubby, Christine, Producer Kristin. Well, one of us
in the room has a strike. Oh boy, yeah, Survivor Pool.
We're doing the NFL Survivor Pool week number two and
uh but we're doing strikes, as I mentioned.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Three strikes and you're out right yes.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
So do we have to explain the rules every time
we talk about it? Producer Christen, No, it's are tuning
in for the first time. Okay, I don't know what
to do.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well, it's it's a game where you you pick one
football team a week a week and if your team wins,
then great, congratulations, you move on to the next week.
If your team loses, you normally you are out of
the pool. But we are playing with three strikes and
uh yeah, one of us in the room has a strike.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Well.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
The key thing is that if your team wins, you
can't pick them again. That's right going forward, So you
have you have to choose wisely.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Even if they lose, you can't pick them again. You
can't pick them again.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Period.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Oh okay, yeah, even if they win, you're done with
that team. Yes, So here we go we'll use this
week as an example what happened over the weekend. So
I picked the Bengals over the Jaguars, and the Bengals
won thirty one, twenty seven.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, congratulations.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Now we come to Christine, who picked the Bears over
the Lions, and the Bears were crushed fifty two to
twenty one.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
To use crushed.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Well, it's only one strike. If this was the regular
Survivor pool, you'd be done for the year. They'd be
all over. And producer Kristen picked the Cardinals over the Panthers,
and the Cardinals won twenty seven two. Yes. Tight, all right,
so we're down to two more strikes for you, Christine.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I have my first strike.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
But you know, we were all kind of giving you, well,
we were ribbing you a little bit because that was
a tough pick.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I know you guys didn't want me to choose the Bears.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Well that's the whole thing, though there could be upsets.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I thought I had to take a risk at some point.
Maybe I took a risk too early.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Yeah, well that's that's an interesting risk.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, just because the Bears don't have.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
A I have a great record, Christine, But we tried,
I said are you sure?

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah, you did try?

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Are you sure you were?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Like? Yes, okay, but you know what, things can turn
around in a heartbeat. You know, we could lose the
next two weeks and me and Kristen have two strikes
and you could still have one.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Look at the Chiefs, yes, look at the Chiefs for instance,
you would think you would pick them, great team. They're
zero and two.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
They haven't won a game yet, so that's true. Anything
can happen that could be a strike. And we still
haven't seen Tailor's outfit.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Wow. By the way, yeah, some people are kind of
upset about what Taylor did over the weekend.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
Well, yeah, I wanted to see what she was wearing.
Did you guys notice did they show her in the
stands or anything.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I don't think they showed her at all.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
No, So she was there.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
She showed up at the Chiefs game, but instead of
walking in like she normally does, we're all the paparazzis
around her and people are picking apart how beautiful her
outfit is, because.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
She always has pretty outfits.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah. Well, she was shielded on her way into Arrowhead Stadium.
Basically a moving wall just followed her.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
So we didn't get to see what Taylor. So ultimately
that's one I'm most upset about regarding football. This weekend,
you couldn't get Yeah, well, I.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Will say this, pick the Chiefs next week. I'll end
it with that. If you really want to surefire win,
pick the Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
But then I use them up. I can't use them.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
The rest's true, but you have a strike, So I
would pull out the big guns. The Chiefs are taken
on the New York Giants this weekend, and there's no way,
there's no way the Chiefs will be zero and three
and and and there there that's a possibility. I don't
think they're going to lose against the Giants this weekend.
