NJ Horror Con In Atlantic City

Producer Kristen's horror convention took place this past weekend.

producer Kristen Happy Monday, the final week before we kick
into Memorial Day weekend. Wow, I still can't get over it.
The we're here, let's do this. And I heard it's
supposed to be kind of like not great weather. Weather's
been strange, hasn't It been a little up and down? Right?
It's a beautiful weekend though, right, I mean we were
in we have a little getaway home in Pennsylvania. We

were there. Usually the weather is about the same here,
we're two hours west, but it was blue sky Saturday
and Sunday. Did you have some cloud cover here of
a weekend? We did a little on Saturday and then yeah,
we're okay. Yeah, Christians like, don't ask me. I was
inside for two days.

I was.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah. I was heard what your so your husband puts
puts together something called horror con Yes, New Jersey Horricon,
New Jersey Horricon.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
It's a horror convention kind of like comic con, but
we focused more on like the horror aspect of it.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
And you did it in Atlantic City, Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
In Atlantic City. Yeah, it went well.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Give great. Give me an example of like somebody famous that.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
You had there this this past weekend Leda Ford. You
know who Leida Ford is, the singer famous.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Yeah, yeah, oh she had this big hit. Hang on
a second, I did. I had to cover up something,
no big thing. She just went went to a party
last Saturday night. Didn't get Yeah yeah, you know, a

little romantic there. So she was there. But she's not scary.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
She's not. So it's not all like exact horror. We
have pop culture and I mean we've had D. Snyder
when we want to talk about music, we've had D Snyder.
Peter Cris from Kiss, we've had him as well. So
it's not like just pure horror celebrities.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
But but you do like you had the original, not
one of the originals. I guess you did have one
of the original. Jason's right, Jason.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
We had two of them. Yeah, we had to two
of the Caine Hotter and c. J. Graham they both
played uh Jason in some of the movies. They were
a big Yet a lot of people they have like
a cult following, you know, and a lot of people
come out and they want to get you know, their posters, signs,
their Jason masks signed. So Yeah, they had a lot
of people for them, and some people from the movie

from the Chucky movies.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah, so it was. It was a great weekend. Leatherface
two from Texas Chainsaw the original guy Brett Wagner's I
think I know, maybe I don't know. See you know
this is more of my husband's thing.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
Well, yeah, that's true, that's true. You did a darn
good job of helping him out. I'll tell you that.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah. Did you put the kids to work like Haven'm
run the lines?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
My son Jagger, Wow, I've never seen him one more
focused and two unlike his best behavior, he was a
great help this weekend. Yes, he was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Well, it's all about horror pretty much. At the box office,
Final Destination Bloodlines was number one over the weekend, made
fifty one million dollars, followed by Thunderbolts at number two.
To Christine, would you do you ever go to horror movies? Yeah,
you're not like a huge fan, right? Yeah? Either my Yeah,
it's like I like the classics, right. If an old
Frind of the Thirteenth is on TV, I might watch it,

but I won't go to the theater anymore. To watch
a horror movie.

It's too intense for me.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Yeah, we have enough stress in our lives. Three pretty
