Pink Poodle Found in The Passaic River

The poodle is OK! But she broke away from her leash, jumped in the river, and had the Fire Department out to rescue her.

Cobby, Christine producer Kristen. Welcome back, Christine, and you come
back to our lovely area and you notice a story
about a pink poodle.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Yes, pink. We can't play the pink poodle club.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Okay, well there's pink Chapelone has a song pinklos Pink
Pony Clubs.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
This is the pink poodle Pink. A little pink poodle
named Molly who ended who is Okay, I'm gonna say
it right now. She's okay, Otherwise I'd never do the story.
But she ended up in the Passaic River and kind
of floated past my house. I think. So what happened
was you live here there, right there, Cobby, right there,
and I would have seen Molly because she's pink, right,
and it was like a safely dyed pink. Molly broke

(00:41):
her leash and was spotted around River Drive and Lonza
Avenue in Garfield near the Passaic River Monday afternoon. So
officials started chasing her, and they said she moved fast.
They couldn't get her. She ran to the river bank
and jumped into the river.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
I felt like doing that before.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
She don't pick the Pasaic River. She landed on a
small island. Took eight firefighters from Garfield and Clifton, two
boats and a heat sensing camera and four hours, but
they found Molly and they brought her back safe and sound.
She is recovering with her very grateful owners or parents.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So was it more about finding the poodle or just
once the poodle was on the island, now getting it
off that little island.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
It sounded like she just kept getting away from them
every time. Okay, they tried to get like she was
on the island for maybe a little while and then
they didn't see her again. And yeah, so they had
to keep going. But the fact that she was dyed
pink was a little hard for her to, you know, correct,
break away, make an escape, poor thing, Because I'm just saying,

what if she just wanted some alone time. She's like, guys,
please stop stop pempering me so much.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yes, the poodle is fine, she's fine.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
She cut a view of you know, Garfield, right, Passaic
and all of them all.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
No, Yeah, easiest thing to find ever though, in New Jersey, Yes,
high Fire Department. I got the easiest gig for you ever.
Go down to the water, look for a pink poodle.
It's gonna be so easy.
