Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of six boy seven LIGHTFM Happy Friday seven forty
eight with Kebby and Christine in the morning in three
hours commercial free, kicking off at eight twenty. As we
get ready for the weekend, we mentioned a moment ago
it's gonna be a beautiful weekend sunshine pretty much all weekend.
High's right around eighty, upper seventies and just perfect gorgeous.
But if you're gonna watch a movie.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I well, I mean there's a couple of really good
movies opening this weekend. Just FYI True Spinal Tap two.
The end continues, just the title alone. Got to see it,
Love Spinal Tap, big fan and big Fan of Doubt.
Now be the grand finale that's in theaters this weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
But now I want to talk about this list that
you disagree with.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Well, not everything, it's pretty funny, but.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Movies that are so huge but really, at the end
of the day, we don't.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Like, well critically acclaims movies that you might be almost like,
I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I don't
like this movie because everybody likes this movie.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Because I feel this way about a lot of Oscar movies. Yeah,
that happens we win the Oscar. I'll go, all right,
let me see it. I'm like, this is awful, but
that could be. It's probably right me.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Sometimes you keep it just between us.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Because I'm also kind of guy that I don't know
why Airplane never won an Oscar, Like that's that's my
sense of humor, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
So that movie's hilarious. But yeah, I've read it. Poll
people were sharing critically acclaimed films that they don't get
and don't like them Tony Lama Land, which is like
one of my favorites.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Now, I haven't seen the list, but I did hear
about that one on the list, and I agree with that.
That was one of the movies I saw after all
the fan fairs and didn't like it. I didn't think
it was bad, but it was just okay, it wasn't
it just wasn't up my alley. I don't think I
was a demographic for it. I get it. It was huge,
but no, I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
But we were friends up until that moment. Kubby, what
what happened to you? Or throw some more the Big Lebowski.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Never saw it, never saw it?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Okay. This person said they saw it at least three
times and they always fall asleep after fifteen minutes.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Well, there you go. You have problems falling asleep. Sometimes
that could be your movie.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Christy, I think it's a good movie. You've seen it, Yes,
Interstellar sci fi fan says I was hesitant to watch
because it was so popular, got around to it, didn't
like it. Thought it was two hypes.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Did you see it?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
No, that one I didn't. That's not as much my thing.
The Shining. Here's a person who says, I will die
on this hill, but the Shining most overrated movie ever made.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, I like that one, The original Shinnickerson, Shining, yesh
Kelley Duvall.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, the Revenant, two hours of Leo crawling around.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Never saw it though, Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Joker, the entire movie series, they said, feels like it's
been written by a fourteen year old trying to be
edgy for his friends.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Too dark for me. Joker is really dark, but there
are people that are really into it.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Well, the first one I think was an excellent movie.
In the second one just too just relentless, everything everywhere,
all at once. That's one that won an Oscar And
this person is like, Nope, just don't get it. Wolf
of Wall Street. Okay, they say that they feel like
I got it, You're rich, you do drug, you swear
a lot. Rinson repeat for three hours.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
You know, I'd never seen that movie, but I've seen
the first twenty minutes of it, and someone told me
the first twenty year thirty is all you really need.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
That's what they're saying, basically, Yes, that's what they're saying.
Rinson repeat for three hours plus. I think Leonardo DiCaprio's
just talking about revisiting that character again too, like doing
that in a film. Two thousand and one is Space Odyssey?
Say they despise it?

Speaker 1 (03:25):
That was that like seventy eight that came out or eighty,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
To watch it in film class, it's like you have
to take it for what it's like, almost making a statement.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I've never seen it, but I would love to see
it now to think what they thought two thousand and
one was going to be now that we're like twenty
four years removed from two thousand and one.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
That's that's you know the famous hel the computer voice,
which okay, no two thousand one Space Odyssey or he
calls the person how because I think I'm off this
one I loved this was just last year Anora was
a big Oscar winner, and I thought the acting was fantastic.
And the person says the acting was subpar. Story was

(04:03):
basically a reality TV show plotline. No, I didn't find
it that way, but you know, by.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
The way, I was way off on two thousand and
one A Space Odyssey nineteen sixty eight. Oh oh, well,
I don't know why. I thought it was like maybe
I was thinking Close Encounters or Alien.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Stanley Kubrick, right, that's yes, yes, so that's a classic.
At this point, super disappointed in Oppenheimer. This person didn't
like Once upon a Time in Hollywood found it boring,
and I'm a huge Tarantino fan. This was a big disappointment.
This is one person's opinion. And finally Avatar. Both movies
watched on a plane and thought the story was predictable

(04:38):
and boring. Those are some popular movies right there.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, I you know, it's funny. I don't feel bad
when I watch a bad movie on a plane because
I had to be there anyway.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
So that and also sometimes I think it doesn't do
it justice when you're watching it.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
That's true too, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
But yeah, like if you wanted to add on to
this list. Yeah, we're into it.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
Four four, three, six three. What critically a claim movie
do you think?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Is just you just don't like it and it's okay.
