Speaker 1 (00:00):
Know six point seven light f M. Good morning, it
is Jack and Christine and producer Kristen. Thank you for
having us on. And we're talking about splitting the bill.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, alrighty do you split the bill like I like to,
like if you go out I go out.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
With friends, how about if you go out with couples?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Right, and when we're in a group, we like to
just split evenly. Right. But I think this is up
for debate all the time because here we are, it's summertime,
we're hopefully getting together more and going out a little bit.
And why is there always somebody at the table who
eats and drinks more but they kind of don't add
a little more just to make it easier.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
No, they're the ones who say, let's split it.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
All and then you mean us can feel very awkward
saying you guys had appetizers and desserts and right, so
we end up just splitting it. But it always seems
like there's always somebody and they're always the same person,
you know what I mean, in the group.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, and I always wonder why they get invited.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Right, Well, that's the thing.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
So I have a friend when we all go out.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
She sometimes cries poverty, but before after dinner, before she's
the one that orders a lot, knowing that, and then
she'd be, well, you know, I only have this amount
of money, and you know she's a good friend of ours,
so we all kind of feel obligated.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
And reassess, you know, well we'll cover for.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
You, and yeah, I know, but but it does make
you think twice, then it does. And then also people
with money are saying it's not fair to them that
if they've got the most money that everyone leans on
them to pick up the tab. No, which is true,
it's not fair.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
But if they do say hey, I got this, I
do not argue.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I said, oh, thank you at all at all.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
I dated a woman once who was notorious for letting
me pay for everything, and I got a little tired
after a while, and finally I said, no, I'm not
going to dinner, but I will join you guys for
a drink afterwards. And she came, the bill came, and
she goes, all right, he had a drink and his
portion of the tip is and that's the last time
I got together with her.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
I was like, whoa, that's not going to come far.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
And she had a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
She had a lot of money. Why she had explains
