Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is me walking in the men's room at work.
That's me walking into the men's room one of six
point seven light FM Covey Christine producer Christin. The reason
I brought that up is you may be driving to
work right now and you're stressed out, maybe about a
PowerPoint presentation you have to do, or you're stressing out
about a big teams meeting, big conference call. Yeah, that
(00:22):
may not be the biggest worry though for most people.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
That's nothing compared to having to use the bathroom at work.
It's official, right, It's absolutely official. So people were surveyed
and they said, what gives you the most anxiety about work?
What stresses you out the most? And it was not
deadlines or annoying bosses or even fear of being fired.
It was using the bathroom at work.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
All right, let's.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
Talk about it.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Let's talk about.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Welcome to iHeartRadio. You never know what you're going to
run into when you run into the men's room or
the women's.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
That's the problem. So people are saying, yes, what are
we gonna face when we go in there? And then
there's like, do you need a little extra private time?
And now a coworker has just walked in and they
call it the walk of shame. You have to come
out like go hey, hi, you know, because you want
that time.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
To yourself exactly. And we've seen it all right, It's
not just about what we're all thinking.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
There's other things going on in there, Like I know
the ladies have more of a problem with this than men,
but you know, like getting ready, like laying out all
your stuff and maybe doing makeup. I know you told
me you see that a lot. Yeah, I wish I've
seen guys changing the men's room, but like not makeup
or anything like that.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
No, yeah, we wish there were like a separate room
right where you could go do your hair and makeup
because that happens a lot here. A lot of people
have to go on camera and we get celebrities up
here and.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
You understand, you get it. Yeah, but some people really
make it like their home, don't they.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Well, you don't. The thing is that needs its own
space because it's not comfortable doing your makeup while somebody's
trying to do their business and vice versa. Like if
I know somebody's just out there putting up as Scara
and it's super quiet, I can't. I can't go.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
So, Christine, if you had all the if you had
all the money in the world, right, and you're responsible
for designing an office building, Uh huh, you could do
whatever you want. Yes, would you make bathrooms and a
powder room or like a dressing room? Yeah, would that
be the way to go?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
I think so, especially especially for us. Yeah, and like
you said, right, we have celebrities that walk through these halls,
and it's not fair to us and them as well,
because sometimes we get blocked out of the restroom.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Oh yeah, that's happened before.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
And there's only one on our floor. With how many
stations radio stations, there.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Are times where like I'm walking to the men's room
and there's a huge guy with an ear piece by
the bathroom door, and he'll stop me. Yeah that means
and then I'll go down who's here? And it'll be like,
I don't know, Bruno Mars is here? Yeah, oh I
didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Usually, yes, the security person won't tell you. You have to
go around to the stations and figure out, right who
was here, or you're in there with somebody that's clearly
as somebody, but I don't quite know who they are,
and then they're starting to look uncomfortable just because I'm
in there, and it's like, I'm sorry, I just got
to go. We have a song coming. You know it's
gonna end in three minutes. Don't worry, do your thing.
(03:11):
It's it's all uncomfortable, but not even on a celeb level, seriously, just.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Because those are iHeart problems the building, but also almost
sound like champagne problems.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah, but really just using the bathroom at work.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
It's uncomfortable, and you're worry about when you want to
when you open the stall, what you're gonna run into.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Exactly you want your privacy, And I don't know how
to fix these things.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Does anybody else have bathroom anxiety at work? I'd love
to hear from you. Four four, three six three on
