Speaker 1 (00:00):
One o six point seven FM with Covey, Christine producer
Kristin the only three people in New York that aren't sick.
I feel like everyone's sick. Please, right, I'm sorry, I'm
knock on wood. I know I just jinxedas No, I
mean like a lot of people I know are under
the weather. Yes, I just wipe down the microphone because
Victor Sosa, our overnight guy, was a little little stuffy.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
No.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah, so we all got something going on. You are nervous.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
I jinxed us right well, yes, unfortunately, subscribe to the whammy.
I'm like, whenever you say it moves.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Well, we're all for two weeks as of today.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
After today, I don't want to be sick for two
weeks off.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Please we can rest. Well, you're going to be out tomorrow,
right of us?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Are not resting, Covey, You're.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Gonna be Wait is tomorrow the busiest shopping day of
the whole year?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:42):
And you're going out in that?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Why? Why?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Because I have to I don't have enough presence and
I haven't had a lot of free time. And uh okay,
I'm gonna have a meltdown right now.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
And even though there's online available, you prefer to hit
the stores like old school, right.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yes. As a matter of fact, I was in a
story yesterday. It's called Uncharted. It's in Clifton. It's a
really nice store. It's great for last minute gifts, by
the way, or gifts anytime. The women in front of
me were saying how they're sick of online shopping, because
sick of it because they said it takes the joy
out of shopping. They I literally heard this conversation. It

(01:18):
takes the joy out of shopping. They enjoy going shopping.
I do too. I get ideas when I go. I
like to see it, feel it, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
But music too, Like it's great you can get a
song in a second by downloading it. But I kind
of miss picking up the vinyl and I know, like
when we did sound Exchange your record friends over.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
There, Yes, I have to go to Sound Exchange.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Where were they again? What time was that?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
That's in Wayne Waye, Jersey. That's a great record store
and there's really cool vinyl. And that's another stop I'm
definitely gonna make for Eric. But Saturday and Sunday are
considered the busiest shopping days oh the year. This Saturday
has been dubbed Super Saturday. I'm sorry, the second busiest
shopping day of the year behind Friday.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
That okay, it's still it's still gonna be busy.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
It's still gonna be busy.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
And don't cheat the self checkout, by the way, because
I was reading a story that a lot of people
this time of year are trying to cheat it and
it's a bad thing. They can find you. They got
cameras everywhere. Yeah, so I get nervous when I'm doing
it and I just I miss a scan. Yeah, like
the guys, I'm doing it again, I'm gonna bo it,
butrus boop.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
There it goes again. Yeah. Apparently if if something goes
awry at self checkout, there's more people working now, employees
monitoring cameras. They say they have AI assisted monitor monitoring
near kiosks, so they kind of get the weight if
you are putting things in the bag or not. They

(02:45):
I was told, like it even like detects your motions, so.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Like it's got a lot better.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
Yeah, if it sees like, oh, you didn't boop, you
know before you put it in the bag, right, it
could catch you. But you know, some folks are saying
they do it because times are a little tough, not
that they're yeah, I understand blatantly taking, but they're like, oh.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
They're not going to miss this. They do it. That's
a big deal.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You can't do that, but that's you know. Four four
three six three. Have you ever had a.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
New shoplift A four four three six three? Do you
do you cheat the self checkout? How do you do it?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I was good? Ask like if it ever like sometimes
things accidentally happen. You're going out to your car and
you're like, oh, no I didn't.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
What do you do then?

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Yeah? Do you go back or you like there's a
wedge of cheese? I don't know, will.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
They find me with this wedge of ches or should
I go back to customer service?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Back?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
All right? Hit us up four four three six three.
We have a trivia battle. We got that coming up next.
