The Rockettes Join Us In Studio For Our Christmas Flip

There's a lot of new things you can experience at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Christine is here. It happened fast to it.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Yeah. The Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockets running
now through January fifth, only at Radio City Music Hall,
and we are very lucky to have two Rockets with
us right now. Katie her fifth season from Tampa Bay.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Welcome, Katie, thank you so much, so excited to be here.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
And Danielle your second season from San Diego, California. Welcome.
It's awesome having you. Are you guys tired? I mean
you had a show last night?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Yes, we are. We are here on a happy Friday, everybody,
and we're so excited to just be celebrating the Christmas
Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockets. And it's also our
one hundredth anniversary, so very exciting about that too.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
And we are flipping to All Christmas later today five pm.
So we may see you again in a few hours
because we'll be at Radio City Music Hall, and Christine,
we are ready to go.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
We are so yeah, can you help us do that?
Like we'll go out on stage and there's usually a
big switch switch and we need you guys to make
it look pretty of our beautiful So tell us what
it's like. I mean, the legacy one hundred years. As
soon as you walk into Radio City Music Hall, isn't
it now like an immersive experience where you can see
the costumes?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yes, the roquets have worn.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
All across Radio City there's different activations, there's archival costumes,
we have different things on site for our guests to
see along with the show, which is so special, but
we're also celebrating all throughout New York City, so you
may go to various spots and see anything Raquets which
is extra special this year. Oh I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Yeah, I was reading Magnolia Bakery, which we might need
to stop by.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
The MPI building.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Yes, beautiful. Tell us what's new this year because I
understand there's like this really cool sphere inside.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Yeah, kind of like Vegas or Yes, the sphere in
Las Vegas has a sphere immersive sound and we've actually
brought that over and revamped it in Radio City Music Hall,
so the sound effects are even more clear than ever before.
You could be sitting in the front row or the
back row of the third mezzanine and you can still
feel as if you're in that front row.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Let's get a review from our very own Danielle Delila,
who you saw it already, give us your review in
a New York way.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Oh my god, that's all I gotta say. It was
absolutely incredible. It was magical. It was very memorable. And
seeing the former Rockets be a part of the night
over five hundred former and current Rockets, I mean, just
the vibe of the show. I've never heard Radio City

(02:39):
Musical at the Christmas Spectacula so loud. The crowd was
so loud. It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Does that make you feel good, because that's passion right there.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah, it was such a magical night.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
So you had the magical night we're talking about, in
particular was inviting back former Roquettes.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
We have this Rockets legacy where we have gotten their
information just to keep the history going and keep that
archival information.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Like four hundred people on the text thread.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
Yeah, a little bit more than a text thread, but
we have just we're trying to just get all the
documentation so we can keep this legacy going for hundreds
and hundreds of years.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Beautiful and I'm sure you've heard some great stories right
from the past Rockets. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
You know what's really cool is I mean every Rocket
that has performed in the Christmas Spectacular has done the
Parade of the Wooden Soldiers. So doing that with the
audience that we had was even extra special because you
had five hundred wooden Soldiers in the theater, which I
don't think we can say that every day.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
