social media and some you know, areas of work, especially
for us. Yeah, but are there anything like, for example,
some people think they need a brand new phone every year.
Because Apple put out a brand new phone, you think
you need it. I used to be that way, then
I got down to every two years, which I'm proud of.

What about you, Christine? Do you get a new phone
every year?

No? No, no, no, I hang on some of my phones.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
And Kristin, no, I'm the one I have now I've
had since I think twenty nineteen.

Okay, yeah, it's been a couple of years.

So what are some things that a lot of people
convince you you need, but really deep down you don't.
And this is great.

I was just having this conversation yesterday with my sister
in law. She was helping me pack for this trip,
and she was like, will you overdo it with clothing? Right, like,
not just my packing, but just in general. It's kind
of like when you take stock of how much you have,
you realize maybe we don't.

Need all of that, and how much you really wear
and how.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Much you actually wear because you just go to your
favorite piece to me.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
You have ten yeah, maybe five pieces of clothing and rotation.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Right, you're the same with the shoes. The secrets of it.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Yeah, I want to go back to expensive funerals. That's
a great point.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
That's very interesting. I mean, I know they cost, like
even they could coffin is a lot of money. But
I don't know why would you want that on your family?

I don't know. Oh yeah, you don't, right, try and
not sit do that to your family.

Did anybody ever tell you, like, once your car's paid off, okay,
time to get a new one.

Don't necessarily have to do that.

No, you know, don't forget that.

You can enjoy the costs.

Just enjoy not having the payment for sure.

I got roped into something that's on this list, and
that's gender reveal parties. I know that a lot of
people go all out and they do the confetti and
the colored smoke, and we didn't do all of that,
but we we did do two gender reveal parties for
no reason. It wasn't necessary, but you know, it's cute.

Bottled water came up.

And I'm stuck with that.

Still you're used to having bottle water, right, Yeah, I
was addicted to it for a long time. I felt
like we had to have at least a case in
the garage ready to go. But Coco bought this little
like bur It's called Burkie and it's just a filter
and we just put water into it and it filters
over time and now we got rid of all the plastic.

But that's great.

I still like a good water bottle.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I know it's just convene unfortunately, but we have all
the pretty cups that we carry around. But yeah, there's
a little theme going here too, because it says expensive
weddings and diamond ring.

These are things a lot of people feel like you
have to have to have.
