We are not leaving until this job is finished.
Speaker 6 (01:47):
Texas Governor Greg gabbittt we know of one hundred and
sixty one people still missing from the Hill Country floods.
The death toll now at one hundred ten. That is
higher than what we saw during Harvey. Search operations now
in Gay number six. Flood response is now on the
agenda for the special session later this month in Austin,
and State Senator Paul Bettencourt has some ideas well, we're.
Speaker 8 (02:09):
Going to try to do is combined old technology with
new tech. I think sirens are good old tech because
everybody understands when you hear a sirens, you got trouble.
Speaker 6 (02:18):
Coming Betton Court with our TV partner, Channel two. But
speaking of that new tech, all the drone footage that
you're seeing from the Hill Country, it's not helping searchers
do their jobs.
Speaker 9 (02:28):
On unmanned aircrafts land into a helicopter that was searching
for flood victims in the Hill Country, experts say that
pilot should have known better than to be flying in
the area.
Speaker 10 (02:36):
Right now, they have the TFR, the temporary flight restriction
because of the emergency procedures that are going on.
Speaker 9 (02:42):
Eric Quintez runs drone pilot training. He says the crash
was entirely preventable. The FAA's online map show where drones
can be flown, and they're off limits in an area
that stretches from Curveville to the edge of San Marcus.
Curveville police say this and other incidents are being investigated
by the FEDS.

Speaker 11 (03:05):

to get in anyone's way, because you know, it's what
happens if President goes and everyuine's around focused on I
don't want anyone to.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
Focus on us trumpet yesterday's Cabinet meeting. Leftists in the
mainStreet media are pitting the Hill Country flooding on climate change,
another example of how that narrative just won't go away.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
They reached the end of the line.
Speaker 12 (03:31):
No one's buying the climate capacity, no one's buying.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
These absurd links like the Texas.
Speaker 12 (03:35):
Flood, and no one's buying that you know, a green
New deal is going to save us from an Earth apocalypse.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Mark Morano with the Climate Depot says that unfortunately this
narrative is so well funded that it's likely never going
to die. You can help the victims and survivors. We
have a link to the Kirk County Flood Relief Fund
at KTRH dot com, on our Facebook page and on
X five oh four, Fox reporting that former fb HI
director James Comy and former CIA director John Brennan are
(04:04):
under a criminal investigation for lying to Congress allegedly about
the Russia hoax.
Speaker 13 (04:09):
Both of these disgraceful individuals turned against our constitution and
our country, and I'm sure they did in fact lie
to Congress, and it's up to the Department of Justice
to investigate that and to prosecute them.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
If they did.
Speaker 6 (04:22):
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt. Today is the day
that former President Joe Biden's doctor is supposed to testify
for the House Oversight Committee about Biden's cognitive problems.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
And many are saying it's about time.
Speaker 14 (04:35):
It's not about medical privacy, it's too important. The position
that it's all hushed up and covered under hippo and
say you can't know those things.
Speaker 15 (04:43):
That's political commentator doctor Brian Jundaff, who also says this
one can't just go away.
Speaker 14 (04:50):
Otherwise it's a cover up, and it's a group of
unelected people running the country and then covering it up
and lying about it.
Speaker 15 (04:58):
If Biden's doctor doesn't show up, he will be held
in contempt. Jeff Biggs News Radio hundred and forty Katie.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
By the way, that doctor wanted to delay his testimony.
He was rejected in that request five h five more
than seventy thousand Honduran and Nicaraguan illegal aliens living in
the US. We'll soon have their temporary legal status revoked.
That would include several thousand living in Texas. We told
you ten people were charged with attempted murder this week
(05:27):
for an ambush on an ice facility. Ohio Senator Bernie
Moreno blames Democrat rhetoric.
Speaker 16 (05:33):
These people that were ambushed in Texas, the people who
did it had signs that say no oligarchy.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Is that sound familiar? No kings?
Speaker 7 (05:41):
Is that sound familiar?
Speaker 16 (05:42):
You know, they send out spoke signals to the craziest
people among US orders.
Speaker 6 (05:46):
Our Tom Holman told Fox that security has been increased
in CBP and ICE facilities. Assault on ICE agents have
increased seven hundred percent from last year. Meantime, two federal
core Art's rule against the Texas law that allows illegal
aliens to be turned over to federal agents by Texas authorities.
(06:07):
Of course, that was known as SB four. The courts
ruled the Feds have exclusive power, but State Senator Joan
Huffin says there's a particular part the federal courts don't like.
Speaker 17 (06:17):
As long as we try to go into this area
where we gave Texas law enforcement officers the ability to
stop someone if they see them entering in other than
a lawful port of entry.

Well, that's that's a great song about having a baby,
But what if you didn't intend to have a baby
and you went on a GLP one, you know, like ozempic,
and it did you. Here's the headline that got my attention.
Are GLP ones affecting your birth control? What to know
(07:46):
about it? We'll get to that in a second. But
I've seen a lot of ozepic commercials. I mean they're
everywhere that most of the commercial is a disclaimer. So
is there anything in there about you know, ze don't
be making you more fertile or causing you to get pregnant.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Let's listen.
Speaker 18 (08:04):
Ozembic isn't for people with type one diabetes. Don't share
needles or pens or reuse needles. Don't take ozebic. If
you or your family ever had medullary thyroid cancer or
have multiple endopren neoplasia syndrome type two or I allergic
to it, Stop ozempic and get medical help right away.
If you get a lumper, swelling in your neck, severe
stomach pain, or.
Speaker 19 (08:19):
An allergic reaction.
Speaker 18 (08:20):
Serious side effects may include pancreatitis, ball ladder problems may occur.
Speaker 19 (08:24):
Tell your provider about vision problems or changes.
Speaker 18 (08:26):
Taking ozempic with a sulfonal urea or insulin may increase
low blood sugar risk. Side effects like nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea,
mainly the dehydration which may worsen kidney problems living with
type two diabetes.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
That's about the power three with those empic the nauseare
of vomiting, maybe from morning sectives.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
I don't hear anything about being pregnant. They're calling them
ozepic babies surprise pregnancies while taking GLP one medications like
ozempic and manngero, despite being on birth control or having
a history of infertility. Reproductive and obesity medicine experts say
that they're all also noticing the trend in their offices,
and it boils down to two main reasons. Weight loss
(09:05):
can help correct hormonal imbalances caused by obesity and metabolic disorders,
thus boosting female fertility, but certain GLP one medications can
also reduce the efficacy of birth control pills, thus increasing
the risk of an unintended pregnancy. So is that something
(09:27):
you maybe should know about before you take that? You know,
maybe you would welcome the pregnancy. That's one thing, But
seems to me if it turns out that there's a
correlation between the two things, that might be something they want,
might want to include on their disclaimer five to ten
time for traffic and weather together.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
While as under non Jimmy and skylight problems this morning.
That's true. Carry are you concerned? I think we're all
good here, Jimmy.
Speaker 19 (09:56):
Not concerned for myself.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
This is for the child bearing portion of our audience, now, okay,
all right, however small it may be, sky Man, all.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
Right, all right, all right, well we all kind of
needed this this morning.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
You know what.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Let's hit him from the sticks now, East Texas I
sixty nine. If you're coming down from New Canny Man,
New Caney sure is growing fast. Coming down from Grand
park Way, we look good. Thirty two minutes into downtown.
Piece of cake here man. I jumped on forty five
this morning instead of the hardy bond. I don't know
how some of you guys do it. It's just a fight,
even though it's moving, it's the struggle. So you know,
(10:29):
we got to watch out for other stations.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Listeners.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Graham Parkway to downtown looks good. Thirty two minutes. If
you want to get on the hardy bond, might save
you some stress. We're looking at nineteen minutes now from
Spring into downtown.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Oh I've got to check that South Sam.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
See I never I'm sorry, I never have to look
at the South Sam eastbound Hiram Clark is where they're
calling it.
Speaker 3 (10:47):

R KTRH top tax twenty four hour weather center. Time
to check in with Terry Smith. We got about it.
That's an hour, hour and a half thunderstorm at our
house yesterday. So yeah, it was no big deal. It
was not a heavy storm, that nice steady rain, not
that I needed anywhere in my yard's already up to
my ankles. But you know that's a jungle, yep. It's
saved me tons of money on my water bill this summer,
(11:20):
that's for sure.
Speaker 20 (11:20):
That you know what I was thinking about that with
as much rain as we've had on a regular basis,
the water bills are probably where we're getting a little
bit of a break that and the AC has not
been running quite as hard. We run our AC non
stop around here, what starting like May through October, but
(11:42):
it's not having to work quite as hard because the
temperatures are in check.
Speaker 19 (11:46):
Well, we've got more.
Speaker 20 (11:46):
Rain on the way, folks, I know you're not surprised.
The morning hours we should be fairly quiet. I've seen
a couple of showers and some storms near the coast,
but they're very isolated.
Speaker 19 (11:59):
Once we get the heat of the day to kick in.
Speaker 20 (12:01):
Though, that's when we'll get some more of that rain
that we had yesterday, and it was heavy rain in spots,
and we could see that happen again today. Sixty percent
chance of showers and storms today at our temperatures will
be in the up eighties to low nineties, mainly low
nineties today, thirty percent chance you'll get wet tomorrow and Friday.
Sixty percent chants and more showers and storms over the weekend,

If if Greg Abbott were a drink, what drink do
you think Greg Abbott would be? I would say he
would be milk, and I'm pretty sure it'd be skim milk.
He's he's not very exciting. He's you know, he's kind
(13:05):
of like mister steady Eddie. You rarely ever hear him
raise his voice. You rarely, if ever, hear a snappy comeback.
But he took on a reporter yesterday who suggested that
who's to want to know who was to blame for
all this? You're referring to the flood. I'll share that
(13:26):
audio with you. Coming up next, first though, traffic and
weather together as we check out the drive once again

Your reliable forecast next on the ten on seven forty KTRH.
So yesterday, this reporter wants to know from Governor Greg Abbott,
who's the blame, who's the blame for the Texas flooding?
In the flood response, who's to blame? In which case
he was happy to point out that only losers point
(15:15):
the finger of blame. Here is Governor Abbott?
Speaker 7 (15:19):
Here you ask, I'm going to use your words. Who's
to blame? Know this, that's the word choice of losers.
The way winners talk is not to put fingers. They
talk about solutions. What Texas is all about is solutions.
In fact, I want to read you something that I
(15:40):
received last night. Tragedy has come because that part is done.
What we do now, who we are now, that's what
the story is still being written. Let it be one
of grace, of grit, of fierce love and the face
of grief. Let it be the kindest story that proves
(16:02):
that the kill country may flood, but it does not fail.
Say what you will about Texas, but when the rivers rise,
so do we not with blame, not with bitterness, but
with boots on the ground, arms around strangers, and hearst
wide open. That's the Texas I know, and that's the
(16:24):
America that I believe in. Well, this person wrote, because
what I know is true for all Texas and what
we will achieve every single day.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Well, how about that.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
You know, normally, normally you would expect a relatively lame
response to a question like that. That was a hell
of a response, I think, well said sir. Give him
credit for that. He also did an update. Of course,
this information is already a little bit on the stale side.
We will, you know, will continue to update the numbers
sad as they are. Here's Governor Abit talking about how
(16:56):
the search continues.
Speaker 7 (16:57):
Nothing is heart wrenching is hearing the stories of what
the girls around here, especially the girls that can't miss it,
went through to see where they lived in one moment
where they disappeared, the next moment that were gone forever
(17:20):
a few moments after that. I wanted these people to
know what you ought to know. The hearts of our
fellow Texas are breaking every single day because of what
people of this community and the surrounding area are going through.
There's nothing more important on our hearts and minds than
(17:43):
the people of this community, especially those who are still lost.
I told them what we were doing, not just today,
but what we are going to be doing for the days, weeks,
and months to come. That says what they needed to hear.
They need to know Texas is in this with the
(18:04):
people in the Hill country right here. We are not
leaving until this job is finished. The job right now,
the primary job right now continues to be locating everybody
who is affected by this flood. There still remain those
(18:26):
who are missing. We have to find every single person
who's missing, and that's the job number one.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
And that number as of this morning is up to
one hundred and seventy three. It was this day sex
so you've got to feel like that number will be
added to the death toll. And if that is the case,
we now have one hundred and eleven. You put those
two numbers together, and that's close to three hundred people
who may have perished in this event. Five twenty six.
(18:58):
Time to take a look at your money, Jeff Bellinger.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
And good morning to you, Jimmy. A.
Speaker 22 (19:02):
Stocks ended mixed yesterday that now closed four tenths percent lower,
and the S and P five hundred had a tiny loss,
less than a tenth of a percent. The Nasdaq closed
less than a tenth of a percent higher in its
tariffs that are keeping investors on edge. The President has
said there will be no further delays to his tariff deadline,
and he set a large tariff on copper, sending the
(19:23):
copper futures through the roof yesterday. The President is also
threatening overseas drug companies with huge tariffs unless they move
production to the US over the next year. Stock market

Speaker 24 (21:16):
There's three priorities that's locating the people out there, identifying
notify the next kein. That is what I'm taking is
my job as sheriff.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
Here to do Kirk County Sheriff Larry Litha As search
operations in the Hill Country enter a sixth day. At
last count, one hundred eleven people at least are dead.
There are one hundred and seventy three missing. It's going
to take years for the Hill Country to recover from this,
and experts say that even flood insurance won't cover the
cost of the damage.
Speaker 25 (21:43):
It is completely separate from your homeowners policy and typically
the limits are two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for
the property.
Speaker 6 (21:51):
Rich Johnson with the Insurance Council of Texas says that's
not anywhere close to covering the damage done to some
of those huge camp houses. Records show that Camp Mystics
emergency plan was approved by state inspectors just two days
before the flood. We'll talk to Land Commissioner doctor Don
Becking Buckingham at seven point fifty on Houston's Morning News.
(22:13):
And then there's all the damage that was done to
the Hill Country's ranchers and farmers. Hundreds of miles of
fencing that surrounded those ranches has all been plowed down
and Texas ag Commissioner said. Miller says livestock that raised
on the banks of the Guadaloupe were wiped out.
Speaker 26 (22:27):
The saddest part is when you go down in that country,
you'll see livestock, bad livestock. We've even seen cows in
the tops of the cypress trees.
Speaker 27 (22:36):
Has created a dangerous situation for rescue crews. Texas Department
of Agriculture is stepping in to help those affected by
the flood, but Miller says it'll take years for them
to rebuild REX So it snows Radio seven forty KTR.
Speaker 6 (22:48):
Eight Thank you REX Scam fundraiser. Also a concern is
the clean up continues. Criminologist doctor Alex del Carmon says
people try to capitalize on tragedies like this, but you
can protect yourself.
Speaker 28 (23:01):
We have the Red Cross, we have the various entities
that we know of. There's also components like Charity Navigator.
They are actually vetting a lot of these entities that
are asking for money to ensure that they are actually
legitimate and that the money is going to the right
place and the right person.
Speaker 6 (23:16):
He advises you to check with a better business Bureau
or just go to our link to the Kirk County
Flood Relief Fund at KTRH dot com, on Facebook and
on x The left continues to play the blame game,
even as bodies are being recovered and Texas Congressman Wesley
Hunt has had enough.
Speaker 29 (23:34):
I do not want to hear them lecture me on
decency when they cannot sit down and pray for the
people of Texas and pray for those that lost their
loved ones.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
Hunt on Fox. It is now five point thirty four.
We told you this could happen. Last week. Houston City
Council member Letitia Plumber launches a run for Harris County Judge.
She is the second confirmed Democrat for our challenger for
incumbent rather Lena Hidalgo and Erika Lee Carter, the daughter
of the late Sheila Jackson. Lee says she might run,
(24:05):
but only if Lena doesn't.
Speaker 30 (24:07):
The chaos that we're seeing right now when it comes
to the Democrat side is a clear indication of not
only failed leadership on the part of Lena Hidalgo, but
the absence in the vacuum of that leadership.
Speaker 6 (24:20):
Political analyst vlad davidyak And there were fireworks that yesterday's
Commissioner's Court in Fort Bend County over a districting County
Judge K. P. George. While he didn't just argue with commissioners,
he actually had one woman escorted out of the hearings.

Speaker 31 (24:37):

Speaker 19 (24:44):
This matter, she asked me.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
George is in the middle of a legal issue himself,
charged with money laundering. Five point thirty five. The US
Supreme Court allows the Trump administration to significantly downsize the
federal workforce.
Speaker 32 (24:59):
In order for the Justices reverses a lower court ruling
that temporarily froze funding cuts and mass layoffs for federal agencies.
In unsigned order says the lower courts injunction inflicts severe
harm on the government and interferes with the executive branches
internal operations in unquestioned legal authority to carry out a

government wide reduction in force.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
Sharon Halpern reporting, the White House continues trade talks with
several other countries, including the EU.
Speaker 11 (25:27):
We're probably two days off from sending them a letter.
Speaker 3 (25:31):
We are talking to them.
Speaker 33 (25:33):
I just wanted to a letter means a deal.
Speaker 6 (25:36):
And on truth social Last night, Trump he used an
announcement on trade deals with no less than seven different countries.
Dow futures are up sixty some odd points this morning.
The Dow lost one hundred and sixty five yesterday. It
was a mixed day on Wall Street. Oil futures are
trading at sixty eight dollars and sixty cents a barrel.
That's up twenty seven cents this morning. Gasoline, in the meantime,
(25:57):
dropped another penny over the cross used to choose seventy
three a gallon. It was three ten a year ago now.
Jimmy mentioned this yesterday. A record set in the second
quarter for the amount of people with one thousand dollars
a month car payment. Ktrh's car pro Jerry Reynold says
high used car prices are partly the blame.
Speaker 34 (26:17):
People really get to do in their homework. They find
out their new car, no matter what that payment is,
may well be cheaper than a used one.
Speaker 6 (26:25):
Right now, and here's the fine print, the fact that
interest rates have not been cut isn't helping your cause.
Five point thirty sixty astros loseing ten innings to Cleveland

flood death toll of one hundred eleven. One hundred and
seventy three people are missing as search operations are now
in day six. I'm Cliff Saunders on Houston's News, weather

Speaker 2 (26:49):
More with Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning News teams.
This is Houston's Morning News. So here's the story the
hap A shift workers. Where where do you think the
happiest especially after playing that, where do you think the
happiest shift workers are? They're a weed or vape stores?
(27:12):
Shocking right, These people work, they're happy. By the way,
they're more than happy to tell you all about all
the products in the store.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
Because they've tried them all personally. You know, well, you'd
have to write, how are you going to advise people
on which products are the best unless you've tried them all.
Now here's my question. Why would Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick
want to shut down the happiest place on Earth? I mean,
(27:41):
these people are happy. They're working at disney World. Ninety
two percent job satisfaction. If you're working at a weed
or vape store catering by the Way came in second
ninety one percent, cafes and coffee shops ninety percent, dentist
offices ninety percent, and gyms eighty nine percent. At the
(28:05):
other end of the list, the most stressed are frustrated
by their jobs. Hourly workers and a pharmacy huh. The
rest of the bottom five are postal workers. That doesn't
surprise you, Amazon drivers, people at veterinary clinics. Really, I guess,
I guess it's well, it's kind of stressful, you know,
treating animals that are sick or injured. Right, Hourly workers
(28:28):
at doctor's offices and other hourly jobs involving healthcare. Only
the people working at the dentist office are happy. Maybe
they're hitting the nitrosox site five point forty time for
traffic and weather together.
Speaker 3 (28:38):
You're very happy at HIV. You're in the produce department
fruits and vegetables.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
And even though it's just been proving you don't eat vegetables.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Yeah, no, I'm not a big venching person.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Evidently you're capable of displaying them and helping to purchase
them for the store, but not to eat them.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Yeah, you balance the colors and you make these artful displays.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
It's fun. Let's go to the north. Here I forty
five southbound. We look good. Spring down this nineteen minutes.
Let's go further. Stretch your neck.
Speaker 5 (29:06):
We're going to Conrad. Look at that thirty two minutes.
Now looking at that doing some quick math. Little bit
of a spackle at the Shepherd Curve. I'm wondering if
maybe we have a stall right in that spot, that
trouble spot.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
So watch out. So far Conrod down thirty two minutes.
We look good.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
All right, it looks like they've cleared that roadwork outbound
and the east text freeway king with.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
There we go.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
We had two right lanes blocked for a little bit.
That nice lady on the free I heeartradio app.
Speaker 3 (29:33):

Terry Smith is with us. Another partly cloudy day with
the storm chance today. How yesterday was about seventy percent.
What are you thinking today sixty Okay, so yeah.
Speaker 20 (29:56):
I'm not much different about the same, and it's in
the morning. That's the nice thing is, for the most part,
we're not going to see much in the way of
rain early, and it's the afternoon when we are more
likely to see showers and thunderstorms developing. But much like yesterday,
some of those thunderstorms could produce heavy rain in spots.
(30:18):
I saw some places that had between three to four
inches of rain on the southwest side of town yesterday,
So there'll be some places that get a big soaking
in other places that'll just get a nice, little gentle drizzle. Now,
temperatures today because of the clouds and rain, will still
be in line with early July upper eighties to low nineties.
Speaker 19 (30:41):
Today, we don't have as much rain.
Speaker 20 (30:43):
Tomorrow and Friday, a thirty percent chants of thundershowers. It's
going to warm up into the load of mid nineties
tomorrow and Friday, and then over the weekend we'll see
an increase in the rain again, about a sixty percent
chance of showers and storms both days, and temperatures will
rain change anywhere from the uper eighties to mid nineties
over the weekend.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Right now, seventy four at your officials, Severe Weather Station

What you need to know for the day ahead.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
This is Houston's Morning News, brought to you by New
South Windows Solutions. We haven't talked a lot about it
because we spent so much time talking about the flooding.
But out in Alvarado there were ten arrests made. There
are actually eleven suspects. I don't know if they found
that eleven suspect or not, but nearly a dozen violent
assailants with tactical gear and weapons who attacked US Immigration
(31:35):
and Customs enforcement. They're attacking Ice now, they're going after
Ice in a violent way. We'll have more than that
story coming up next. First, though, traffic and weather together,
and that starts with you, Sky Mike.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Look it pretty good for now. Might as well do
some tip line ramone from spring Ky.
Speaker 13 (31:49):
Good morning guy, Mike.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
People aren't hearing your advice.
Speaker 23 (31:52):
There's a lot of people taking a hearty told.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Road I didn't mean to do that.
Speaker 23 (31:56):
There are beak trapped. There is one ride after no
virgins or national re ward. Tell people that another one
up there banks May Yeah.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
Yeah, all right, Thank you, Ramon. That is a banana sticker.
You know, I have an understanding Jimmy with the constable
at the toll plaza. He's cool. I just you know,
flip my blinkers on. He knows my truck. He doesn't
know it's me. You're getting a commission muncher.
Speaker 5 (32:15):
Yeah, basically, I'm just like, you know, Hey, good morning,

All right, we'll have ten suspects under rest in Alvarado, Texas.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
They were there to attack ice. There's actually a love
of them. As I said, one of them I believe
is still at large. Last I heard was still at large.
Ten of the eleven suspects now facing local charges of terrorism,
aggravated assault on a public servant with a deadly weapon,
or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a peace officer.
The final suspects still at large, at least according to
(33:51):
this story. I'm looking at Tom Homan, needless to say,
not very happy about this about his people attacked. So
here's Tom Homan and what Tom Homan had to say.
Followed up with some comments on the find from great Gutfield.
Speaker 35 (34:06):
These nuts that want to take it beyond protests into
criminal activity. They're getting they're getting rhetoric from their members
of Congress, the senators who compare Ice the Nazis, and
Congressman J. Paul compared to the terrorist organizations. So these people,
these are these fringe groups, film Bolden. If a member
of the Congress can attack Dice, White, can't we.
Speaker 36 (34:27):
You know what's interesting about this is I grew up
watching a lot of movies and there's always this stereotype
that it's this right wing white guy with a shotgun and.
Speaker 3 (34:39):
A trucker hat.
Speaker 37 (34:41):
That's what we're But the stereotype of the right is
well armed, rapidly prone to violence.
Speaker 36 (34:47):
But in reality it's always the left who projects this
stereotype onto us.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
They are the right, they have.
Speaker 37 (34:57):
Guns, they have definitely more guns, and they may.
Speaker 36 (34:59):
Know how to use them, but they don't see it
as an acceptable means to further your political aims.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
So why does the left do that? Because if you.
Speaker 37 (35:08):
See the world through the prism of oppressed versus oppressor,
there are no limits when fighting the oppressor, you can
do anything. Remember when you're fighting Hitler, i e. Trump,
Everything was on the table. So the left isn't good
at violence. They just love violence because to them it's
just another tool in their in their little toolkit to win.
(35:30):
Remember January sixth. Amazingly, I know this is crazy. The
only unarmed insurrection ever, the only gun used was on
a female, unarmed protester by.
Speaker 3 (35:42):
A liberal cop.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Now here's the other thing that's kind of interesting if
you get a chance to take a look at it,
and that is the mugshots of the people that were arrested.
They had they had some pretty high quality tactical gear,
so they're being obviously supplied and funded. They are the
typical protest group, you know, the typical twenty somethings. Most
(36:08):
of them are twenty somethings, you know, somewhere between i'd
say twenty five and thirty five years of age. A
couple of them look like maybe they are gender confused,
in other words, boys who are dressing as girls, that
kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
You know. I try not to read too much into that.
Speaker 4 (36:29):
Sometimes you really can't tell just by looking at somebody,
but you know they are. They're facing some serious charges.
Thank god, they're facing some serious charges here. By the way,
Ice has at this point, they're facing a seven hundred
percent increase in assaults, seven hundred percent. You know, if
(36:51):
we as we are looking at these these acts of
violence which are picking up, and as Gutfeld just said,
and I think that it's very appropriate to say that
when you consider an organization to be Nazis or somebody
to be Hitler, you can, in your mind justify anything
that you're doing, including violence. And some of these Democrat
politicians are urging violence. They're urging violence, They're egging these

Put this into perspective. There are far more fatalities than
there were in Hurricane Harvey.
Speaker 6 (39:13):
Hard to believe. Governor Greg Gabbett yesterday the death till
from the Hill Country floods one hundred and eleven. The
number of missing stands at one hundred seventy three. Today
is day six of the search. Texas Legislature will take
up flood response in the special session that begins on
July twenty. First State Senator Paul Beckencourt wants sirens and
(39:34):
towers put into place.
Speaker 8 (39:35):
You could deploy these towers in the camps and that way,
if people hear the siren, they take action.
Speaker 6 (39:42):
Bettencourt telling our TV partner Channel two, he's not concerned
about false alarms because at least people would be aware
of potential danger. Privately owned drones are hampering the search
and even caused a crash with a rescue helicopter this week.
Experts say that the pilots should have known better than
to be up in a restricted airspace.
Speaker 10 (40:02):
A lot of recreational flyers just get the drone and
take off wherever, right, which is kind of a no no.
Speaker 30 (40:07):
Well it is a no no.
Speaker 6 (40:08):
Eric Flints runs drone training in Texas and says the
crash was entirely preventable. Drone flights are off limits in
an area that stretches from Kerrville to parts of San Marcos.
It is now six ZHO three. The President will visit
the flood ravaged area on Friday, and he's hoping for miracles.
Speaker 38 (40:26):
They could have somebody say so, and there's a lot
of areas, some big area and you know, probably unlikely
at this point, but there could be.
Speaker 6 (40:37):
As they're thinking, it could be Trumpet yesterday's cabinet, Meaning
now the mainstream media is using the disaster as fuel
for their climate agenda, despite no real evidence that climate
change was a factor.
Speaker 39 (40:50):
This appears to be another political attack and it doesn't
seem to be working when you have.
Speaker 12 (40:54):
Such a tragedy, essessially involving children in summer camp. People
just don't have the stomach for the obvious compleet trash
that they're promoting here.
Speaker 39 (41:02):
Mark Murano with the Climate Depot says, Unfortunately, the climate
narrative is still well funded and not going anywhere.
Speaker 12 (41:07):

House Oversight Committee. That request, though, was rejected, with the
testimony set to go on as scheduled. Political analyst doctor

Speaker 14 (42:24):
The big thing is who was in charge? Was President
Biden making these decisions? Was he cognitively aware and capable
of making these decisions? And if not, who was and
why was it covered up?
Speaker 6 (42:36):
The House Oversight Committee has been trying to talk to

We need double the elect to be successful with AI,
which is the biggest thing there. We need double the
electricity that we have, which is hard to believe.

We need even more than that. Appreciate I believe it.
Speaker 42 (45:22):
I actually work for an energy company now because I
believe there's a new renaissance of not the energy transition,
it's an energy addition to energy. Secretary Chris Wright was
talking about that we have a case study what happens
if we continue this green new scam.
Speaker 3 (45:33):
It's Texas.
Speaker 42 (45:34):
When Rick Perry was there as governor. He laid the
groundwork to change their grid to be over forty percent
renewables generation based. We saw what's happened there with natural
disasters because of that. If you look at the entire
US grid, seventeen percent, a record seventeen percent of generation
came from renewables last year.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
It's too much.
Speaker 42 (45:51):
It's not stable, it's not baseload. It's not saying that
you don't have to be pro fossil fuels and anti
solar and wind. You can be pro everything, but the
economic have to work to your point. So don't subsidize
something that's going to actually end up costing taxpayers and
consumers more money.
Speaker 4 (46:06):
And that may end up being one of the best
parts of the big beautiful bill is ending those subsidies.
At least I think they're just still ended. I haven't
seen all of the final version of the bill. I
hope they ended the Green New Deal subsidies or else. Well,
you know, we'll continue down this path and in that
nice that here we are in Texas being held up
as this the poster child for doing too much renewable energy.

FLOODING i guess that means that if you have flood,
insurance hopefully you're. Covered if you don't have flood, insurance
does that mean you're completely out of? Luck Richard johnson
JOINS Us Insurance council Of. TEXAS i don't know how
many of the people and or how many of the
(51:24):
businesses in The Hill country is In kerrville And Kerr,
County richard have flood. Insurance any idea of what percentage
of the population has flood insurance?
Speaker 43 (51:33):
There, yeah thanks for having. ME i, mean statewide worried
about seven percent and that really drops off when you
come to, inland because it's around fifteen percent when you
get Into houston on the, coast so it's like one
percent in all these inland, counties which is really really.
Speaker 4 (51:50):
Low, okay so there won't be a lot of help
coming as relates to flood, Insurance are there going to
be any other insurance opportunities that might be able to
help these people?
Speaker 3 (51:59):
Out so there might.
Speaker 43 (52:01):
Be we always go ahead and say to you, know
to at least file a, claim but you, know flood
is just one of those you, know it's that it's
kind of that one peril that has its own. Policy
and if you don't have it on top of your
your regular property, policy you, know most insurance doesn't cover,
it where you could get covered as with, auto if
(52:22):
you have comprehensive coverage and you have damage to your
automobile or you know your automobile is a total, loss
then your insurance will cover.
Speaker 25 (52:31):
It.
Speaker 4 (52:32):
OKAY i don't know how familiar you. Are i'm not
these FILMLATRES i should be with with how the state
generally operates in these types of. Situations sometimes there's funds
that are set up to help people. Out sometimes some
small Business administruation may make low interest loans available to
some of these businesses to. Rebuild so there are other
(52:53):
OPPORTUNITIES i guess for these people to get some.
Speaker 3 (52:55):
Help there. Are, yeah the.
Speaker 43 (52:57):
State usually has some sort of fun like you, said
Small Business. Administration, uh and THEN. Fema SO fema runs
the flood, program but on top of, that they usually
also offer grants and low interest loans to be able
to help you. Rebuild but you, know the important, thing
and you know it's always, hindsight is to look into
that flood insurance to you, know and it's relatively. Inexpensive
(53:22):
it's about seven hundred bucks a. Year that's kind of the,
average and you know that's what's going to help people
rebuild if they have.
Speaker 4 (53:28):
It, well mine is about three thousand dollars a. Year
if you can find me a seven hundred dollars, Policy i'd.
Speaker 3 (53:33):
Like to FIND i, SAID i said.

on the, ocean so you, know, right, yeah that's obviously experience.
Speaker 43 (53:41):
Hill, yeah AND i am in the hill, country and
it's it's about five fifty to six hundred bucks a.
Speaker 4 (53:46):
Year, Okay, Well i'm sure there are a lot of
people that wish they'd spent that money on. That, Now
Richard johnson's with This Insurance council Of. Texas, richard what
do you think this does overall to insurance rates here In?
Texas because obviously all insurance companies take a look at
the weather events that happen here and these types of,
events and that increases the risk of doing business In.
Speaker 43 (54:08):
Texas it, does and it's all based on you, know
the claims ratio versus versus, premiums and so they're going
to look at. That they'll look, at you, know in
the past few years to kind of predict the. Future
so it will have an. Impact but, again flood is
one of those things that's a little interesting because it's
(54:30):
not covered by private, insurance but it is it's an
overall risk that we know about In. Texas we know
we have, floods we know we have, hail we know
we have, hurricanes we know we have, tornadoes and you,
know unfortunately that's we we are one of the more
expensive states to get property insurance because of all those.

of us we will, be dealing with rain at least
some Rain In parts of southeast. Texas through the weekend

We Are Joined By Texas. Land, commissioner don buckingham dawn
thank you. FOR taking the time i you know this
has been a difficult week or more for just About,
everybody Here in. TEXAS including texas officials i know that
The Governor and the lieutenant governor and yourself have spent
(01:46:38):
a lot Of time. In the hill country just if
you would give me your, impressions of you know how
people are holding up there and what the state's trying.

Speaker 23 (01:46:49):
Yeah absolutely thanks thanks for having.
Speaker 46 (01:46:51):
ME on this morning i wish it wasn't, on A
happier topic because I do think every texan has, touched
by this disaster probably one or two degrees away from
this disaster and. THE people, it affected, i myself of
course My mom lived in, Kerrville a long time My,
daughter went to mystic My Son. Went to camp stuart
(01:47:12):
those were two of the camp directors that were lost
in their pursuit. Of Saving their campers so i've lost
several very dear, friends in this process and of course
have several other friends who've lost, be it, their granddaughter,
their niece you, know whatever.
Speaker 34 (01:47:28):
It is this.
Speaker 46 (01:47:29):
IS a terrible tragedy i think we're transitioning into the
Most deadly.
Speaker 19 (01:47:35):
Disaster.
Speaker 46 (01:47:35):
THAT texas has had i think the Death, count has
surpassed harvey or getting. Pretty close, to that so Basically
What happened was mother nature dumped what Would Normally go
over niagara falls in twenty four hours in the hill
country in, a matter of hours and that, the river
came up depending on where you're talking about twenty, five
(01:47:58):
to thirty.
Speaker 19 (01:47:59):
Feet and it.
Speaker 46 (01:47:59):
Did that very, quickly and you know unfortunately. It's a
rural area there are. Not Cell phone receptions camp mistic
has been in. Place ninety nine years the water had,
never gotten that high and then we.
Speaker 19 (01:48:13):
Had the devastating.
Speaker 46 (01:48:14):
LOSSES that we've had, i think the local state and federal.
Response has, been Amazing You know The Texas department of,
emergency management mobilized early knowing that a storm was. Coming
into the area remember there are twenty one counties in
this Flood Disaster. Declaration by governor abbott that's, bigger than several,
states by the. Way in Geographic area, but but texas.
(01:48:37):
Mobilized the state did the locals. Were obviously already mobilized
the fuds came in right. At the same time you
have thout. Dudes on the ground you had. Over eight
hundred rescues you. Had neighbor rescuing neighbor the community is
heartbroken and crying. And mourning the loss but, at the
(01:48:57):
same time they're a community and they're dedicated to rebuilding
even better.
Speaker 4 (01:49:02):
Than, it was before yep and that'll require a lot of,
help from. The STATE no doubt but i just want
to quick thoughtcause we're up at the end. Of The
show here but i'm very proud of the governor yesterday
for taking on reporters who always want to find somebody to.
Blame for these things there's nobody, to blame.
Speaker 3 (01:49:14):
For, This is there.
Speaker 46 (01:49:17):
Unfortunately mother nature just does some things that you. Can't
Fully prepare For So i'm WITH governor. ABBOT and i
agree i think everybody did the very best they, could
in this situation and the people trying to detract and
lie around.
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
That, have no place no especially the ones that. Wanted
to politicize it thank you for. Joining us this. Morning
do appreciate. It Thank You You Bet Texas. Land commissioner,
dawn buckingham All Right off to san diego. To, Marry
my niece no i'm not. Going to marry her i'm going.
