world's top superpower in artificial intelligence.

Speaker 9 (03:15):
We're back in Pittsburgh to announce the largest package of
investments in the history of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. And
it's not even close. I don't imagine it's too close.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
Trump announced ninety billion dollars worth of private investments in
AI and energy. Meantime, closer to home, we're watching a
system that's got a forty percent chance to develop into
something tropical in the Gulf. Terry Smith of the Weather
Channel has more on that coming up in just a
few moments. To Central Texas now, where the death toll

(03:46):
in the Hill Country flooding is up to one hundred
and thirty four. According to reports, the director of Camp
Mystic only started evacuating children forty six minutes after getting
the first urgent flood warning, and as the recovery there continues,
Kirk County is looking at the possibility of raising property
taxes to help pay for the rebuild.

Speaker 10 (04:07):
Kirk County officials are in a very difficult position. On
the one hand, they're contending with unimaginable human tragedy.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Policy analyst James Quintero says he hopes the county will
hold off until the Legislature addresses it in the special session,
which begins on Monday. Speaking of Texas politics, the primary
is eight months away, but the Senate race between John
Cornyn and Ken Paxson is already super expensive.

Speaker 11 (04:36):
Senator John Cornyan has the most cash on hand, which
experts say is vital for his re election campaign. As
a new political analyst, Cal Jilson predicts the incumbent will
use his nearly four million dollar war chest to beef
up his conservative credentials.

Speaker 12 (04:50):
You've got to be on TV, you've got to be
in people's mailboxes, and you have to dominate online.

Speaker 11 (04:57):
Cornan leads his Republican primary opponent, Attorney General Ken Paxton,
by a million dollars.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
In the first fundraising report.

Speaker 11 (05:04):
Jilson predicts that eventually tens of millions of dollars will
be pumped into the race, making it the most expensive ever.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
Rex.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
So It's news Radio seven forty KTRH Thank you.

Speaker 13 (05:14):
Rex.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Paxton claims corn by the way, is lying about the
amount of cash he has, and that the Paxton campaign
has outraised corn In by two point one million dollars.
Houston Congressman Wesley Hunt is still considering joining the race,
he told Waltnon Johnson on our sister station KPRC nine
point fifty.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
For now, he's focused on the house.

Speaker 14 (05:34):
I like doing the work for this district, the district
that I grew up in, the district that I was
born and raised in. And if the opportunity would be
to take the same values of Congress of District thirty
eight statewide at the opportunity.

Speaker 15 (05:45):
Presented itself and it looked good for us, then yes,
I would take that. But I will print on it and.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I'll see where God leaves me.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
He hasn't give it a timetable for making a decision.
Five h six, nearly two hundred school districts in Texas
are making the move to four day weeks, and education
expert Carol Haynes says the number show this leads to
lower test scores and lower productivity.

Speaker 16 (06:05):
Also, how they spend that time. What are they doing
in the time that they're in that classroom, whether or
not they have ten minutes to get in and ten
minutes to settle down and display problems the rest of
the time. So it really makes a difference. Though, if
a challenge is just simply in a classroom, fuer hours,
he's not going to be learning as much, and it.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Also hurts households where both parents are working. Meantime, at
Texas big Wig is warning that college sports can't survive
in their current state.

Speaker 17 (06:31):
Cody Campbell, chair of the Texas Tech Board of Regents,
is launching an initiative called Save College Sports. Campbell Tall's
three sixty five sports. The current system that allows players
to be paid for name, image, and likeness is not sustainable.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
This is a business problem.

Speaker 18 (06:45):
It's all about money, and the reality is, unfortunately there
is not enough money to pay the players and preserve
all the sports.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
So we have to find a.

Speaker 18 (06:52):
Creative solution to expanding the economic pie so that we
can do both.

Speaker 17 (06:56):
His plan includes pooling all schools into a national broadcast

Speaker 19 (07:23):
More with Jimmy Barrett and the Houston Morning News teams.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
This is Houston's Morning News. Five oh eight is our time.
Good morning here on Houston's Morning News. I did this.
I'm gonna have fun with this topic. I can tell
I'm gonna have fun with this topic. Houston City Council,
you know we have a night club problem. Can we agree?
We have a nightclub problem in Houston, especially after hours nightclubs.

(07:48):
But Houston City Council is concerned evidently about one aspect
of clubbing that you and I are not gonna be
concerned about, because lord knows the last time we went
to a nightclub. It's called dress codes. Houston City Council
wants to require that any nightclub, Actually, why would you

(08:13):
limit this to nightclubs? Why wouldn't you do this also
with restaurants or any other business that has a dress code.
They want to discuss changing an ordinance that would require
nightclubs to post their dress code and adhere to it. Evidently,
the accusation, at least some City Council members is is

(08:35):
that some nightclubs are selective about enforcing the club rule,
the dress code rule. They'll tell somebody, no, you don't
meet the dress code and not allow them to come in.
And they believe that's discriminatory. They're discriminating against people. Now
maybe that's happening. I don't know. I think that's always
happened to nightclubs. You know, they like to let the

(08:56):
pretty people in before they let the ugly people in.
That how that works. But you know, we used to
live in a world of dress codes. Used to be
a dress code to school kids show up in pajamas.
Now they used to be a dress code at church.
You wear a jacket and a tie to go church.

(09:16):
Now that you they just want you to show up.
Restaurants used to have dress codes. Some of them still do,
but based on the people walking in and what they're wearing,
I'd have to say they don't really adhere to the
dress code. So here's here's my question. Today. You go
to the iHeart radio app KTRH makes as number one
in your preset. Please hit the talkback button you get

(09:39):
up to thirty seconds. First thing, where you're calling from?
And first of all, do you believe in dress codes?
Where do you think dress codes are appropriate? And if
you were making the rules, give me one thing that
would be a part of your dress code for your
business that you would not allow. Here's my rule. No
Span decks outfit bigger than a medium they would not exist.

(10:02):
You come in, you come in in a double XL
spadex outfit. They'll turn around, go home and change five ten,
tie traffic and weather together, and it's kind of bigger
than a medium cake. The problem isn't There's always a
problem with my rule, though, because there'll be people who
will be double XL who will try to squeeze in
to a medium Span Dex outfit. That's that's the vice

(10:23):
physics Jimmy. Last time I went to a club, I
had a spiral permullet. I was wearing.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
Really point the shiny boots and a dangling air ring.
And I think I saw Emilia. You know, I've seen
Selena three times. So I go to Hano days in
the nineties. All right, let's hit east text. I got
something smushing.

Speaker 19 (10:42):
Up here, Uber Mike, you're up early, dude, guy Mike,
and down right for six ten they are doing Shiny's work,
riding hand side to lanes, blocked.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Off outstanding our mornings.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
First banana sticker, Cherry it's always a sweet time. This
is causing a bit of a smash now coming down
from Tidwall.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I don't think it's enough to reroute. Also, I think
they'll pick this up shortly.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Also did a little digging and sure enough, the onlines
are still showing a closure on the Southwest Freeway outbound
at six ten. They're showing the ramp totally shut down.
They're showing the ball lanes blocked.

Speaker 13 (11:15):
Here.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
You did have a serious deal. It's gone.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
That's why you get your information from live am radio.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
They're not going to catch me.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
You know why, because I have you calling out there
seven one three two one two Tips Terry, how's Jimmy's blob?
I'm in the USA Harvey Resorts dot com traffic.

Speaker 2 (11:32):

are whether center Terry is here? Yes? Where is the blob?
And where's the blob going?

Speaker 20 (11:39):
Uh?

Speaker 21 (11:40):
The blob has made its way into I hear jaws music.

Speaker 2 (11:45):
Oh, I can't think of any block music ahead going
where it's going? Where's it going?

Speaker 21 (11:49):
So it's in the Gulf of Mexico around the Floorida
Panhandle and it's kind of hugging the coast, So it'll
be interesting to see, uh, the interaction that this weekly
organized area of low pressure will have as it continues
to move west. The Hurricane Center still thinks there is
about a forty percent chance that it will develop into

(12:11):
a tropical depression, so we have to keep an eye
on it.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Regardless of what it does.

Speaker 21 (12:16):
It's going to bring rain all along the coast, and
some very heavy rain, and there's the potential for some
flooding in areas like Louisiana or Mississippi with this extended
part of rain. And we're going to see some rain too,
but I don't think we're going to get the bulk
of the rain from this. In fact, no rain today, folks.
Load of mid nineties. Tomorrow a twenty percent chance of
a thundershower. Load of mid nineties. It's Friday and Saturday,

(12:39):
that's when we're going to see the best chances of rain.
In fact, Friday is sixty percent chance of thunderstorms, Saturday
a thirty percent chance of rain, and then we should
dry out Sunday.

Speaker 2 (12:49):

News brought to you byen New South Windows Solutions. Well
back to Jimmy Barretts and the Houston Morning News team
all the info you need to take on the day. So,
the Jeffrey Epstein story is a story that just won't
go away. We were telling you yesterday, Well actually I've

(13:12):
been telling you for a few days here about the
disconnect between Attorney General Pam Bondy and Deputy Director of
the FBI Dan Bongino, and Cash Betel, the director of
the FBI. And now President Trump has gotten involved and
basically said, if you know anything that you think is credible,
go ahead and release it. So and Pam Bondi doesn't

(13:34):
want to talk about it. So what in the world
is going on? More in that story coming up next.
First though, at five funny traffic and weather together. Here's
Ky Mike. Hey dude, we're going to.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Clear some things out now East Tex southbound right before

Speaker 2 (13:46):

Speaker 2 (15:15):
We we think that President Trump's name is on the list,
but not because of it of him being a pedophile
or or or you know, dealing with young girls or
any of those other things. What we're all trying to
figure out is is there an Epstein file or isn't there.
Is there a client list or isn't there? And if

(15:37):
you aren't releasing it. If you have it, why you
If you do have it, are you lying to us
when you say you don't. And if Gazelle Maxwell or
whatever her first name is, wants to give you a list,
why wouldn't you take the list. Well, there's a lot
of people, evidently, and by the way, some of them

(15:57):
quite probably most of them are Democrats, would be very
embarrassed with the release of that list. So we've got
this back and forth thing going on. Here's the latest
on the back and forth thing from Fox News and Attorney.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
General Pam Bondi is breaking her silence on this Epstein
matter following a week of intense blowback from the magabase.
She says though she's staying put despite calls for her
to go.

Speaker 24 (16:19):
I'm going to be here for as long as the
President wants me here, and I believe he's made that
crystal clear.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
It's four years, well three and a half now, right,
you want anything else?

Speaker 6 (16:27):
N Bondi, at an unrelated event on fentanyl today, declined
to expand on the reported fracture in a relationship with
Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino, who threatened last week to
quit over the DOJ's closure of the Epstein case with
a two page memo, I'm not.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Going to discuss personnel matters.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
I think we all are committed to working together now
to make America safe again, and that's what we're doing.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
I'll Speaker Mike Johnson pushing Bondi to do a little
bit more that watch.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
She's to come forward and explain that to everybody. I
like Pam, I mean, I think she's done a good job.
We need the dj focusing on the major priorities. So
let's get this thing resolved.

Speaker 10 (17:03):
Well.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
Today, President Trump, who's been tamping down the Epstein story
and endorsing Pam Bondy gave her some new latitude.

Speaker 25 (17:11):
The Attorney General's handled that very well. She's really done
a very good job.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
Whatever she thinks this credible, she should release.

Speaker 6 (17:21):
However, Jeffrey Epstein's former lawyer, Alan Dershowitz says it may
not be up to BONDI.

Speaker 26 (17:27):
Many of the things that are being suppressed are being
suppressed by two judges in Manhattan, and they're doing it
largely to protect the alleged accusers who are, in the
view of the judges victims. Pam Bondy and the Justice
Department and Donald Trump are not responsible.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
For that part of the reason.

Speaker 6 (17:46):
Glaine Maxwell, former girlfriend and associate Jeffrey Epstein, is appealing
her conviction to the US Supreme Court, but Brett the DOJ,
is asking the Supreme Court to deny Maxwell's review of
the case and leave her in prison, where she serving
a twenty year sentence for conspiring with Epstein and his
abuse of underage girls.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Maybe lever in prison so she'll be quiet. Is that
part of it? I don't know. As far as Alan Dursowitz,
If the problem is a Manhattan judge Why wouldn't you
just come out and say, why wouldn't Pambondi you just
come out and say I can't. I can't whatever I
have I can't release. There's there's court cases involved here.

(18:26):
I can't do that. You would think she'd have some
sort of comment to take the heat off, but so
far she hasn't. This is all very very strange. You know,
you get the feeling that things are being hidden. Quite clearly,
things are being hidden. Five twenty six. It is time
to take a look at your money. Here's Denise Pellegrini.

Speaker 27 (18:46):
Yeah, another thing being hidden.

here In texas as far as Agriculture land is. Concerned

(27:18):
but Between april and twenty twenty. Four In march of this,
Year chinese investors snapped up nearly twice as MANY us

purchased eleven, thousand seven HUNDRED us, homes making them the
largest group of foreign. Buyers canadians came in, Second mexicans

buyers were also more likely to pay in all cash
than any other buyer. Group seventy five percent OF us

second here but. Here's the headline retailer is, called Red
handed using trump's terraces cover. For price gouging all shows
fifty two percent of Voters Agree with president trump at

(46:05):
corporations should bear the burden of. Tariff related costs so
fifty two. Percent of us evidently the majority of us
believe that if it costs a company more to get
something from overseas because, of the tariffs that they should
eat the extra cost and lose it on. The profit
margin that doesn't sound very. Capitalistic to me that doesn't

(46:28):
quite hit the. Definition, of CAPITALISM now do i think
that there are retailers who are probably not really paying
anymore because the cost of the tariff got eaten at
the other end, by the supplier but are using it
as an excuse to raise prices for a. Higher, profit
margin yeah. That's probably happening how? WIDESPREAD that is, i

(46:52):
don't know but it is. Probably happening somewhat the Big
box Stores walmart and target have been pretty quick to
suggest that tariffs, un imported Goods, particularly from china have
left them with no choice but. To Raise prices, for,
american families well. There's always choices one choice would be
to try to get that item from a country where

(47:15):
we don't have as high a tariff as We. Do
with china and certainly if it's a product that they
already Have gotten from china before the, tariffs kicked in
then there's no need to raise the price now because
you didn't have to pay. More for it that's where,
as a CONSIDERER you and i are. At, a disadvantage
right we don't know what the retailer paid for. That

(47:36):
particular item we don't know if the price gouging, us
or not because we don't know what the retail price
is compared to the wholesale price. That they paid six

I live in katie your Best. Ways are round houston
next on the ten. On, seven, forty ktright well no there,
being a midnight sessions but there will, be a special.
Session That's For Sure Texas state Representative brian harrison from
district ten joins us to talk. About the special session
bills are already. STARTING to be filed i think one of,

(52:43):
those bills. Is yours isn't it?

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Ten?

Speaker 30 (52:46):
Of?

Speaker 2 (52:46):
Them, ARE oh ten okay. I know one time i
know the about the. One on property taxes tell us. About, that,
ONE first well yeah i mean we got to.

Speaker 28 (52:53):
Do with property taxes this was the most anti tax
player regular session maybe in the. History of the state
we blew through the whole surpflow, TO fund you know,
dei and transgender ideology and we failed on the number
one thing we, were supposed to do which was. Deal,
with property taxes so As the First elected republican in
texas to demand a special session to. Deal with Property
taxes i'm wheb we're going to go back to get another.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
Bite at THE apple and so. I filed a bill it's.

Speaker 28 (53:17):
Actually a constitutional amendment we need to be simple and,
common sense and, say you know. What enough is enough
never ending, Property taxes are. Unethical they're im moral they've.
Got TO be abolished so i filed a, constitutional amendment
that would over the course of, the next five years
make All property. Taxes In texas unconstitutional but i'm also
filing legislations so that people. CAN benefit, right now i

(53:39):
mean after the, first special session Ended THE Entire liberal
austin uni party was gas lighting voters and to try
and believe they cut their property taxes. By fifty billion
dollars this was the ridiculous talking. Point they were saying
but the reality is their tax bills were.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Going to go up but we. NEED relief right now
i believe we.

Speaker 28 (53:56):
Should cut property taxes in half this special session immediately
and then abolish all, the rest of them phase all
the rest of them out.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
Over a period of. A couple of years we.

Speaker 28 (54:05):
Could absolutely do it we just need Some. Courage Down
in austin. The Texas voters. Deserve bould republican leadership they have.
Not been getting It but that's what i'm going to
be pushing for every day.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
Of this special session hot on the heels of the
Massive Flooding, on in kirk county the officials there announced.
A property tax increase, i want to say it's an eight.
PERCENT property, tax, increase i mean yes they haven't. EVEN
dried OUT yet i guess i know the voters there are,
very Anti property tax so i'm guessing this probably is
not going to go over or isn't. Going over very

(54:35):
well but what Would You suggest that kirk county do
in an effort to try to raise funds to be able. To,
survive this disaster, WELL the, first thing i, mean like
you said they not even.

Speaker 28 (54:45):
DRY down, there yet i mean let's get through this
and do a correct assessment on what exactly went wrong
before the problem is most government officials there knee jerk
reaction in all circumstances is the same raised. Taxes on
the people that's not what Folks down.

Speaker 2 (55:00):
THERE one i've been i was.

Speaker 28 (55:01):
TALKING to them yesterday i put out.

Speaker 15 (55:03):
A statement on this i.

Speaker 28 (55:04):
Actually believe it's outrageous that the county commissioners are laying
the groundwork for an eight.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Percent property tax increase.

Speaker 28 (55:12):
This is the problem all of the so called property
Tax reform bills that austin, brags about every session they're
so full of these loopholes and exceptions that are exploited
by local governments all Across.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
The state of.

Speaker 28 (55:26):
Texas And so we Got austin, uniparty, swamp republicans saying
oh we. Cut your property taxes but the reality is
local governments and the county go all these governments are raising.
People's tax Effective rates so all texans know, is that
their bills their tax bill at the, end of the year.
Goes up every year and so one of THE other,
bills That i filed that i've been pushing for four years,

(55:48):
now or.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Multiple YEARS is it and i just think property.

Speaker 40 (55:51):
Taxes should be abolished but as long, as we have
them we should at least make property tax increases illegal
unless approved by The Voters in elections house bill forty
three in.

Speaker 2 (56:04):
This upcoming special session. That's the bare minimum the.

Speaker 28 (56:07):
Least we should do is at least make property tax hikes. Illegal,
unless the, voters So For, example in kirk county they
say there's a need to raise revenue this one cycle,
for this extraordinary reason they would have the opportunity. To
raise the revenue but the catch is the tax payers
and the voters have to be able to be put
in charge, to agree and, Say, you know what, yes

(56:29):
in this instance we. Need to raise taxes but unless,
the voters approve it all property tax. Hikes should be
illegal that should be. The low hanging fruit and that
is THE bare minimum that i expect for us.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
To do This, Session as of monday adorn's sixty. Bills
have been filed many of them are still key issues
that just didn't Get through the governor avid once and,
including property tax relief some abortion restrictions of band. On
taxpayer funded lobbing how many of these bills do you
think actually get through or actually get considered. IN this
special session, I have no idea BUT here's.

Speaker 28 (56:57):
One thing I want the point i want TO make
is when i was sounding the alarm all session on
regular media and social media and talking WITH you guys
at ktrh about how, liberal the.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Session was the fact that the governor had To Put all.

Speaker 28 (57:08):
These republican party priorities back on a special session and.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
Drag us back there.

Speaker 28 (57:13):
It's pure proof positive at what a liberal disaster. The
regular session was and on the. Taxpayer, funded lobbying thing
Look it's outrageous that texans are having their hard earned tax,
money weaponized against them against their, values and their children
to hire liberal lobbyists to go down there and lobby the,
government for, more taxes more regulations and liberal Extreme Ideas.

Speaker 2 (57:37):
Like The Texas, association of school.

Speaker 28 (57:39):
Boards lobbyists, paid for By taxpayers sent to austin to
go lobby to put men in little. Girls public school
bathrooms we must. Ban taxpayer funded lobbying we should have
done it. Many many years ago in addition to finally
putting our state on a pass. To eliminate property taxes
texas Voted for bold conservative republican leadership When They re

(58:01):
elected president. Trump by, fourteen Points But unfortunately the biden
harris coalition is still Controlling much, of The austin swamp.
And texans deserve better we should be the Number one state.
In america for liberty we've got a reputation for leading
in small government and, individual freedom and liberty but we've
just been coasting on that.

some of these Council members fear that houston nightclubs might

(01:13:29):
be discriminating against people because, of what they're wearing and
they want it spelled out, exactly what is okay which
is not. Always easy, to do for example if they
were up to me to make, UP a dress code. I,
WOULD ban, spandex, First i thought well i'm going to

(01:13:51):
ban spandex and anything that's. Bigger than A medium but
then i THOUGHT about more, and i decided no there
are plenty of people out there who would try to
CRAM their double x l. Body into a medium so.
THAT'S not good enough i think we just have to ban.
Spandex In its entirety so i'm curious this morning of

(01:14:13):
what do you? Think about dress codes? When are they
appropriate when? Are they not appropriate what would if you,
had a dress code? What would you ban you go TO,
the iHeartRadio app ktrh you, hit the talkback button you
got the thirty seconds first thing, where you're calling from

Live in friends with your forecast is at the bottom OF. The,

you educate a child give a child a great. Education
Four Days a WEEK doctor carrol. HANES joins us education
expert i know that a lot Of, school systems here
in texas about two, hundred of them, so Far, are
adopting this doctor haynes because. They're trying to retain, teachers, but,

(01:30:51):
the question becomes okay great but what are. You, doing for,
the students.

Speaker 16 (01:30:57):
Yes you're right it helps, To, retain but you know
jimmy the results are actually mixed on this as far,
as THE students and academics and i think, that's WHAT'S
most important here and i think that's what you're probably
or most important in talking about is that you really
can learn as much. In a four day week and,
just on the side note homeschoolers go to school four

(01:31:19):
days a week with only three to four hours of
instruction and they knock. The top out on grades so,
as far as the academics a LOT has to, do
with i think personally with what. Goes on in that
classroom but they also need not to. Reduce the number
of hours as long as they, stay thirty hours and
above they. Seem that there just fine but it also.
Depends on where it is such is the students don't

(01:31:42):
do as well in the urban areas on four day
weeks as they, do in the rural areas and.

Speaker 15 (01:31:47):
So we won't have.

Speaker 16 (01:31:48):
Time to go into that so all. Of that makes
a difference you also see some differences in gender and
the race and authenticity those. Kinds of, things THE age
but overall what i know and what my experience is
that children can do fine in four days a week
is how they, structured that THIS instructional day and well

(01:32:11):
i really.

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
GOES on in the classroom i would think speaking of what's,
GOING on in the classroom i would think if you
are concentrating on the core curriculum and instead of all
these other things that schools seem to. Want to get
involved with, then that. Would certainly, help wouldn't they you know.

Speaker 16 (01:32:23):
You JUST said better than what i was trying to
sort of. Beat around the bush. Here you've said it
precisely there's so much time that Is wasted in the
classroom jimmy that if they would, spend it on actually academics.
These kids would be fine but you can't spend ten
minutes on academics and the rest on the indoctrination and

(01:32:43):
all of the problems getting them in and out of.
The class and time wasted you don't waste that, time in,
the home class homeschool classing. Or even the micro schools
so we can do the same. Thing in these public
schools we just have to. SIMPLY reorient what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (01:32:58):
I do think what's important i think parents will adopt
to this, because a, lot of them you know a
lot of these kids come. From two parent working households
that's an extra day that they have the range for,
daycare or some other thing or maybe an extra day
that their. Child's can, be home, alone.

Speaker 16 (01:33:13):
You know parents say that's. Really really not an issue
so many parents today are actually working at home or,
you have multi generational care and you have the family

not a problem there, and the four day school the

a a week area Of Low Pressure that the national
hurricane center is watching to see if it begins to
get better organized, And show any tropical, characteristics and if
it does then it may, develop into a tropical depression but,
it's so close to land and the big question is how.

Speaker 4 (01:46:17):
Long is it going to remain over the gulf and
when will.

Speaker 21 (01:46:19):
It make its way northward at some point it, will
make its way northward and it looks like maybe another
day or two it'll stay out there over the waters
before Maybe making its way into. Louisiana and then heading
northward the main thing with this, right now is the
rain and there is the potential, not only for heavy
rain but flooding rains regardless of, if it gets better

(01:46:40):
organized and it likely will bring. Us some rain as
well i'm not sure that we're going, to see widespread
flooding problems but we. Could get some, heavy rain no

RADIO seven forty ktrh Well I don't think that joe
biden's been, eating any bad brown acid. BUT his, brain
is Mush I Mean even the new york times. Says
his brain is mush Joining US To talk about vlad,

(01:49:09):
DAVIDIOC and, why it's important, i think Is That Nobody,
including the new york times is buying The Idea of
lad that joe biden had any idea what was being. Signed,
with that auto.

Speaker 15 (01:49:20):
Pen no it's deeply Alarming you know what the american,
people are starting to learn which is something, that they've
suspected long before is that in the, Final Days of
his presidency joe biden authorized mass pardons without personally, signing
or reviewing the orders which is. What is required by
law he was basically just a hand holding a button

(01:49:43):
or pushing an autopen release and that's. All he was
there for he was there. Just To sign blank checks
and i'm not.

Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
Even, sure he. PUSHED the, button are you i mean
it remains to be seen just how much of this
was being done by his staff versus. Him, just pushing
a button.

Speaker 15 (01:50:01):
Well it kind of reminds me back in, like in
the old days where like you'd have like a copier
room and people go there and just make whatever copies
they needed without going through any. Kind of checks or
balances and it's likely that. He wasn't involved at, all
he probably had conversations maybe just, on a vague general
sense and people went ahead and just used used the machine,

(01:50:22):
to for their own gains for their. Own for their
own benefit his admission that he, didn't review or approved
pardons and his chief of status acknowledgement that of using
the autopen without a verification suggests not only a complete departure,
from any sense of responsibility but a. Complete, collapse, of
executive accountability.

Speaker 2 (01:50:42):
Okay well now, that we've discussed all that what the
hell are we? Going, to do, about it.

Speaker 15 (01:50:47):
Well right now We've had members of the senate announce.
That they're Beginning Of Investigation, is Certainly Senator ashley moody
the judiciary committee are going to be launching an investigation into.
The Use Of the autopen senator ran paul has announced
that he's going to be. Looking into This as well
so the senators are starting to really join a chorus.
That This needs full investigation, the american people, deserve transparency

(01:51:10):
they deserve accountability not these backroom deals to hide what.
Happened and bureaucratic signature machines that the big problem right
now is that the. Media silence is telling this if
the Scandal had, occurred under a republican president the. Media
will be demanding resignations they'd be demanding people be walked,
purp walked across the stage and their silence speaks volumes.

(01:51:32):
About the partisan double standards and thankfully we have people looking.

Speaker 2 (01:51:35):
Into.

Speaker 15 (01:51:35):
MAKING investigations into.

Speaker 2 (01:51:37):
This right i, think the only way though that you
possibly have prevent something like this from happening again is.
That you bring criminal charges you prosecute to the. Fullest
extent of the law people.

Speaker 21 (01:51:47):
Need.

Speaker 2 (01:51:47):
To, go to jail.

Speaker 15 (01:51:49):
Yeah no this.

Speaker 2 (01:51:50):
Is about more than.

Speaker 15 (01:51:51):
Pardons This is about trust every american should be concerned
that when a president admits that he didn't personally, authorize
high level of pardons when he admits that he did
not have full control over what, was happening under his
signature and that means that the trust. In law has
been broken, and until we have prosecutions until we actually
have some kind of, resolution and maybe even convictions.

Speaker 2 (01:52:12):
This trust won't be. Restored, We need, full, accountability amen thank.
You sir as always appreciated. Glad to, video, political analyst
