Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, when you bring charges against James, call me
it's it's karma. Aaron Evans joins US President of winning
Republican strategies. You want to go with retribution or karma,
I'll take you the one. Absolutely. I mean, look, either way,
we just need justice. And I think that's exactly.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I mean, you know, we talked about, you know, lady,
justice is blindfolded and holding the weights, and I mean
that that's the entire concept of American justice. And you know,
we've had a weaponized criminal justice system during the entire
Obama administration and going after every conservative possible and I

(00:37):
mean the biggest witch hut in history, going against everything
that inspecting every single thing President Trump's ever palder said
or done. And you know, and so absolutely, I mean
justice needs to occur. And and I think that that's
what they're pursuing.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Do you think justice will occur? What do you think
is the likelihood of James coming being found guilty anything is?
Do you think that's rather slim or do you think
maybe just have him having to go through the trial
do the way President Trump had to go through his trials.
You have to go through the trials and higher attorneys
and all the expenses involved with that might be punishment enough. Yeah,

(01:15):
you know, look, and I think that that is the
that is the case with the process itself, is digging
through the evidence and you know, uh, going through the
granjury process and and ultimately as long as the process
is as fair and legal as it will be, you know,
then then ultimately, I don't think we have to worry

(01:37):
ourselves with what the result is, but we just need
to make sure that the due process is being followed
and he's held to the same accountability level that any
other American would be and frankly that any you know,
any FBI agent would have been under him.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Uh. You know, a lot of times these guys get
higher up and they think the rules don't apply to them,
and you know, they have have a lower level agent
that that does some of the same stuff he's been
accused of. If if they had someone lie to him,
uh you know, that worked under him, they'd lose their job.

(02:13):
And if they had someone under him that he did
have the stuff that that that call me has been
accused of. So, you know, I think just having that
level of accountability is important.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
You know, if you look back to the origins of
this where where this all came from. It would appear
that it came from from President Obama himself. Of course,
he gets a certain level of immunity being president of
the United States. Pretty tough to go after a sitting
president for anything he may have done in connection with this.
Hillary Rodham Clinton, however, is a different story. Why is
supposed to begin with James call me versus going after her?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah, and I think that's a great question. Uh. And
and look at I think that back to justice being blindfolded.
And you know, I think that anyone who has abused
the the criminal justice system and anyone who has manipulated
you know, some of the the I mean, frankly, some

(03:08):
of our our most trusted institutions. You know, I mean
when we look at the the name of the FBI specifically, Uh,
it used to be a name of respect and you know,
we it was something that we honored and we respected
and and uh and now you know, with all this
stuff that's that came to light, it's like, you know,
this is really some bad stuff, and it's uh, it's

(03:29):
it's an undermining of public trust. And one of our
you know, one of the institutions is supposed to epitomize
integrity and so no. Absolutely. Look, I think that the
what what's happening right now, and I think that uh,
you know, justice and these investigations and anyone that has
broken walls, that has used sacred institutions to go after Americans,

(03:53):
uh in a way that uh is improper and illegal.
Whether it was you know, uh you know, whether it
was what they went after Trump or other people. You know,
I think they all should be looked at and I
think that they will be well.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
And maybe part of this too, is about trying to
restore the good name of the FBI. Aaron Evans, thank you,
appreciate it. President of Winning Republican Strategies, That's Aaron Evans,

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
